Approaching 11 million hits here on HillBuzz

Posted on August 31, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Sometime in early September, we’re going to cross the 11 million hits mark at HillBuzz…which is recorded since July of 2008.

If we included the period we were on blogspot, from February 17th (HillBuzz Day, our birthday) to July of 2008, we crossed the milestone some time at the end of July…but we’re only tracking the wordpress period with this current site.

We especially want to thank the uptick in hits we’re getting from a gay site in New York that has been attacking us this week…he knows who he is.  You’re sending us thousands of new hits every day each time you do this, and bringing us this much closer to the 11 million mark.  Thanks!  The record-keeping doesn’t care whether these are supporters’ hits, or trolls, so every time the Left writes something nasty and encourages its people to come here, write hatemail, or generally be as nasty as possible, there’s this slim silver lining to all of it because it just keeps adding to the hit count.

There are professional sites, run off actual newspapers and other dinosaur media outlets, that have been around since 2000 or so that don’t have 11 million hits yet.

Interestingly enough, we pulled the numbers for one of those New York sites attacking us today, and it’s been around since 2005…and we have more hits than they do, despite them being in existence three full years longer than us.

Very interesting stuff, folks.

We seriously pray for wisdom and grace to come to these people…while also wanting to let them know that every time they attack us, every time they direct more traffic to us, every time they throw everything in the kitchen sink at us, it only succeeds in raising our profile, giving us more exposure, and making us stronger and more committed to doing all the things we do that infuriate these trolls in the first place.

They create their own worst enemies and make us a much bigger deal than we would ever have been if not for their attacks.

So, keep it coming, Lefties.  And maybe we’ll hit 11 million this week, instead of next as we’re projecting.

I link my fb to you guyz all the time! I love to “provoke” thought in my liberal friends by posting hillbuzz gems on their profile pages … I hope some of these rather mindlessly left thinking losers continue reading examples of logic and reason by checking back with your site regularly.

Is it time to include ads on your pages?? I’d make an effort to check them out!

How bout this hit for all you New Yorkers out there.

Obama is going down in Ohio. By a margin of 50-42 Ohioans would rather have George Bush than Obama as president.

    Bellwether state anyone?

Oh and to all you Nyer’s out there, this isn’t just any poll its one of your fav polls beloved by ( and I might add employed by ) KOS himself.

Its mentally draining and to take it day and night takes a lot out of a person. Please do remember that we appreciate and are grateful to you for fighting the good fight.

What’s the old Hollywood saying “I don’t care what you say about me, as long as you spell my name correctly.” or something like that.

It’s quite obvious to those who “live” here at Hillbuzz see that you are growing stronger every day. There’s momentum building here and its a tangible feeling. I remember thinking last week after reading Kevin’s personal post – these guyz and this site are going places and it’s going to be good!

I’m just hoping that Sarah is seeing what dedication you have and what you’ve put up with in support of her. I know if she does, she will be very moved.

I really truly pray for Hillbuzz and for your work. You inspire us!

Now that I’m reading the spam filter every day, I have to say I’m appalled (but not surprised) at the amount of hate and vitriol being spewed by these people.

I’m also fairly saddened at how blindly partisan these people are.

One comment in particular sticks out in my mind… the poster said something along the lines of “It’s sad that these homocons reject the party that has their best interested in mind, even if they don’t know it”.

Or something to that effect. The words aren’t important… the sentiment it conveyed says it all.

We know what is better for you better than you do.

I call it “blind” partisanship because I do believe these people are actually oblivious to how just how partisan (and oppressive!) they sound.

“We know what is better for you better than you do.”

This encapsulates the arrogance of the Left. They truly believe that the majority of Americans are too dumb or clueless to know what is good for them.

There are going to be a lot of “dumb, clueless people” casting votes in November.

It’s also obvious they have never done any critical thinking. Just why would a socialist / communist government be in your best interests? I have read how the Chinese communist government and the old Soviet communist government treats gay people, and it sure ain’t pretty. Overt discrimination (and when the government controls businesses and housing that means you get the crumbs), actual “hate speech” against gays in the state-run media, and during the AIDS epidemic in the ’80s, relocation to “supervised communities” (aka gulags.) What the left accuses conservatives of wanting to do, their communist allies have actually done. I guess their ignorance is their bliss.

I don’t know about you guys but I just loved that you were able to go to Washington DC so I could see and hear all about the people you met and the things that you saw.

As for the gays in NY, well, it’s kinda sad that gays are even being so hateful to….gays. I watched the rally in TV on ESPN and was very surprised with the format. Then, after reading about your experiences, I was again surprised that you weren’t offended by the religious content of the rally. I mean, I wasn’t, but I was concerned about you seeing that way.

Here is the thing, as a Christian, I am seeing a lot of Christian Evangelists coming out all of a sudden and clamoring about Glen Beck’s a Mormon! So what? That is not what this was about! It was about political unity, it was about honoring people who no one but Glen Beck would have thought to honor, it was about patriot American’s taking back their government!

They just don’t get it do they? You guys have inspired me to think about what I can do in my little town of Georgia to help get our country back. I can’t imagine what it would be like in your neck of the woods, but I can surely do something in my little neck of the woods!

Keep your posts coming, I read them everyday.

Well, I know a lot of people who are the “nicest people on the planet”. Not the point. The point is that “this had nothing to do with if you are a Christian, Baptist, Jew, whatever”. This had to do with unity with the people of the US of A and knowing that they have been betrayed by politicians, Democrat and Republican alike. They have been paying for their living and their pensions and haven’t gotten anything in return except higher taxes and lower returns for their buck! We have been paying for these people to live better and retire better than we can ourselves! What kind of stupid it that?

It was also about GOD, and putting him back in our lives, and showing the radical left that much of the foundings of this country were predicated on God’s role in it, no matter what religion – GOD.

My very religious friend would never listen to Beck because he was a mormon. The day after the rally, I told her she really should, and she did, and called to thank me. It’s about God, unity, bringing people together, and hopefully, waking people up.

A close friend of mine is a Catholic priest, a very conservative priest … when I told him about GB and Saturday’s event, he responded that he wasn’t surprised at all, that some of the most fervent, faithful, and patriotic folks he’s ever met are Mormons — and that it’s far better to have ‘em with us than against us, because if they’re faithful, the’re formidable! (Of course, I couldn’t help but then ask him what he thought of Mittens Romney … his response was that he’s seen/heard nothing to indicate that he’s faithful to anything or anyone other than getting himself elected … )

Chris, I think you’ve hit on how to respond to the Evangelists/Fundamentalists it what you just said — actually, GB said it at some point on Saturday — “It was about political unity, it was about honoring people who no one but Glen Beck would have thought to honor, it was about patriot American’s taking back their government!” Think about those 240 pastors/priests/rabbis/imams he called to the stage … the goal is to unite over what we agree on … we don’t have the luxury of arguing over the fine print right now…

I can’t find it but I saw a FB post of a response by David Barton to these evangelical’s who were criticizing him for working with Beck…he gave a great response about it. Honestly, I wish I didn’t just go look for it because I could not believe the awful search results I got when I search David Barton and Glenn Beck…man, the left are nuts…plain nuts.

Anyway, someone above got it right…it’s not about any specific religion…Beck even said on O’Reilly that atheists can live by the golden rule and can live by self reliance…even someone like Penn Jillette who is atheist believes in individual responsibility.
