Another Halloween Miracle: An Altar Boy Became A Boy Scout
I’m writing this from my phone, so I hope the usual Spelling/Grammar/Proofreading police who write in every day to note “on page three, paragraph four, line two, you clearly meant to say [[ blank ]] but typed [[ blink ]] instead and I just can not keep reading you until you get a proofreader” will cut me some slack, because this little anecdote really made me smile.
I’m out in the field here in Boystown passing out more of our palm cards to ask voters to think about WHY they keep voting for Democrats when Democrats do nothing that benefits them. In particular, I want to keep asking my fellow gay guys in Boystown what they ever get from voting Democrat. I know these guys complain all the time in bars, at the gym, and in restaurants about how much they hate their jobs, are stressed out, but can’t quit or change gears because living the A-List gay lifestyle is so expensive. These guys need to think about how much of their money is taken in taxes and wasted by Democrats on entitlement programs that never help gay guys. The gAyTM, as it’s called, needs to be shut down to Democrats for good.
Hence, my friends and I are out here campaigning aginst our former party today, while everyone else is out and about having fun in their costumes.
Just a minute ago, I ran into this bartender named Justin who I liked for a time, and who liked me, but that all fizzled a few weeks ago when he told me he was going to be an altar boy for Halloween…and make it sexy.
I was raised Catholic. I was an altar boy. It hurts my heart the gay community relishes making fun of priests, nuns, the pope, and altar boys. Meanwhile, these unoriginal and cliche gay fools would never dream of ridiculing Islam…dressing up as pedophile Muhammad — a man who married a four year old and then invented a “religion” based on his Ted Kaszinsky-grade manifesto — in all his face-depicted glory, being women wrapped up in their burpas abused by the men in their lives, or dressing up as the ghosts of the beheaded gay men Islam has been murdering for centuries because of who they are.
None of that would be hilarious in Boystown, so it’s just not done. But there are forever jackasses dressed up as a drunken Pope, a pregnant nun, or a sex-object altar boy.
Probably because Catholics don’t murder people for ridiculing their religion the way Muslims do. So, gays feel safe in trashing something I still hold very dear to me, even if I fly solo spiritually these days.
I liked Jusint…until he said he was going to be an altar boy for Halloween. He’s still a nice guy. I like talking to him when he’s at work. But, he’s just a “bar friend”. He’ll never be upgraded to an actual, let’s hang out, I like having you around friend. He sure as heck isn’t a guy I want to date.
I just don’t want to be with someone who thinks making fun of Christians is acceptable when he would never do the same to Islam…or Hinduism, Buddhism, Flying Spaghetti Monster-ism.
So, when he told me the “altar boy” costume idea I told Justin that was a very disappointing choice for him…since he seems like such a smart and creative guy…and since he went to architecture school (but can’t find a job in his field, so he’s bartending, thanks to the Obamaconomy)..and all he could come up with was this?
I told him it was so cliche to make fun of Christians. I didn’t harp on him that this was WRONG, because gay guys usually don’t care about things being wrong if they are aimed at Catholics…but instead I went with the route of “Gee, that’s really lame. You should come up with something better than that”.
He’s a very boyish 30-year-old with a young looking face, so I told him he should maybe dress up as a boy scout…making little merit badges…have khaki shorts and a neckerchief…and that if he did this everyone would love his costume and give him lots of positive attention.
Well, wouldn’t you know it…this worked because Justin passed right by me on this way into work…dressed up as a boy scout (albeit one wearing tight little black shorts and a shirt unbuttoned to expose as much chest as possible…not that I’m complaining, at all, in this case because Justin is adorable).
The lesson I learned from this Justin business is that to get through to people you need to couch your argument in terms they will relate to.
To get through to people, you need to be creative strategically.
It would have never worked to go on and on to Justin about WHY it’s wrong to dress up and make fun of Catholics. He would not care. He also would not get the argument that it’s wrong to attack Christians when the same is never done to Islam. He just wouldn’t care.
BUT, when I told Justin his altar boy idea was unoriginal and would be mostly ignored because it’s been done so many times before…he decided to opt out of that and go with something that would gain him more positive attention.
Since he’s a guy who wears tank tops even in winter and cuts the sleeves off all his tees so he can invite everyone to a gun show wherever he goes, all year round, appealing to his vanity and need for attention was the key to getting him to not be the altar boy.
We all need to remember this when trying to get people who have been lifelong unquestioning Democrat voters to stop supporting the Left. Telling them they are wrong won’t work. Screaming and harping at them won’t work.
But, getting them to think about what they are doing and why they do it is the key. Lead them to the boy scout costume, but don’t buy it for them and force it onto their bodies. Let them dress themselves, even if you picked out the clothes that work best for them.
And not just for Halloween.

Kevin, I admire you more and more with each post.
Me too. I am Catholic and a lot of my non Catholic friends think dressing in a similar way is so funny but would not dare to mock another religion.
Yep…this is a key point for everyone to remember. I was talking to a liberal teacher friend of mine and when I talk to her, I make sure I talk about improvement in schools in a logical way. Once I told her how well schools run in Belgium (I think it was there, but the place doesn’t matter)…where the state gives parents a certain amount of “money” (didn’t want to say the word VOUCHERS as to not set her off) and the parents would take that money to the school of their choice. All schools were COMPETING to get the money from these parents and would all have run a SMART business making sure they had the best teachers and used their funds in the most prudent way. If a parent wasn’t happy with their school, they could take their money somewhere else.
She totally got it and thought that was a great idea. You just need to know the key words to stay away from “voucher” and if you got the idea from some known conservative pundit, make sure you don’t say that name.
I find that many times we agree on stuff if we can stop just knee-jerk reacting to buzzwords. Liberals often freak out that conservatives are opposed to “regulation”. But if you tell them that conservatives are all in favor of clear, simple laws to make sure no one CHEATS – well, isn’t that sort of the same thing? Or vice versa: conservatives freak out when a liberal says they want an end to the corporatization of our govt, but if you break it down, often what they really want is the govt not picking and choosing winners and losers, and giving crony deals to their bestest donors. Well, isn’t that what most conservatives want as well?
The two machines spend a lot of time and energy convincing the people that we are always diametrically opposed on all issues. When you actually talk to people, you often find out we aren’t. And it scares the hell out of the Corp/Statist Dems and the Cocktail Republicans that we might figure that out.
TOTALLY concur…it always amazes me that we can’t just all agree on something as simple as smaller gov’t that doesn’t interfere with your lives. Whenever I’m confronted with someone who thinks the gov’t can run things better than citizens can do for themselves, I ask “what happens when people you DON’T agree with are running the gov’t? Have you already forgotten the 8 years that you wailed about for so long? Would you be so giving of your freedoms to W again? Then why are you so willing to give this joker and his czars SO much power with no press keeping tabs on them?”
Good rule of thumb re: govt power. Imagine the politicians you most hate wielding that power.
I’m much more liberal than anyone on this board, probably, but I’m not STUPID. If you are going to give govt a job to do, the parameters and limits need to be strictly delineated. They need firm, unequivocal boundaries. If the boundaries aren’t there, then my answer to letting them do that job is NO, even if I agree with the overall goal. I don’t give blank checks. Period.
I referred to it as separation of business and state. Liberals love that one, too.
Don’t know what I said, but someone please rescue me from the spam filter.
It’s that WP troll fairy. It loves to eat our posts.
Mine are constantly ending up being eaten by the WP troll fairy and I have an avatar and all….
This reminds me of when I was dining with some lefty academics in 1994, and they were all in a lather about Gingrich and the supposedly ghastly Contract with America.
Then, the one non-academic in the crowd, a guy who did construction & repair work, mentioned some specific provisions of the contract and said they sounded like good ideas. The others sheepishly agreed (while timid little me quietly gloated).
The academics, with their R=bad, D=good mentality, had not weighed the actual merits of the proposals. The guy who did practical, hands-on work had.
But most likely, the only reason he was taken seriously was that he was the husband of an academic and the others had already identified him as not a right-wing kook.
Kevin! How great to read this on Sunday! This is like a gift I received for donating today!!I went back to the church after 10 yrs in the desert and I so do love her in spite of her human flaws.I’ve known so many caring and wonderful nuns and priests it hurts to seem them regularly ridiculed and smeared with a broad brush; but I accept it’s a hobby for some in this world!I’m a regular at a church here in south florida where we have many many from the gay community, I think there is a comfort there for us all as we are getting older and the world is so crazy. Thanks for the tips on being persuasive , it’s not really acceptable to be a conservative in my family and in this area, but that’s ok.
He likes you Kevin.
Need to qualify that statement….
I understand that you are NOT interested in him due to his grating 1st choice costume idea. However, I do give him some credit for being open minded enough to consider your inarguable stance on the subject.
I am surprised this development didn’t earn the GMZeus moniker. It IS a miracle. On Halloween of all days…a dichotomy for sure.
What a great story!
YEA!!!! WA-HOOO! Way to go, Kevin! You are SO, SO savvy/clever/insightful/smart!
I just heard our gal Sarah on the radio (a Hannity show re-run from Thursday)–and I was thinking the exact same thing about her. No wonder you admire her–y’all are a lot alike in that way.
My dear late husband was the same way–he could get people to do what he hoped they’d do while making them feel/think THEY were the ones deciding it!
That is a wonderful, awesome skill–and you are right to encourage all of us to try to develop it. The ol’ “attract flies with honey not vinegar!”
Thanks for sharing this. What a great story! Go Kevin!
P.S. And bless you for your warm/respectful sensibility toward the Church that I love (despite all her warts!)
Love your avatar Kathy from Kansas!
Obot cult alert.

Okay, that’s a little much.
“Kneel before Zod.”
Practice for Man’s Country.
Yes Kevin the right Approach matters.
You just never know when a person is seriously listening to what you say. Kevin is right, you should choose your words carefully. It is not so much what you say as how you say it.
Kevin, you are brilliant. Abso-tively, posi-lutely brilliant What’s more, you’re 100% correct — that approach WORKS. I know, because I’ve tried it, with a great deal of success.
Example: A guy I used to work with hated — HATED — Dubya with every fiber of his being. He even went so far as to say he’d shake the hand of anyone who assassinated Dubya. He liked me, however; and when I took him aside one day and calmly told him that his comments hurt me deeply on a personal level, and made it look like he hated ME too because I liked Dubya, he actually apologized! He said “I didn’t know I had hurt you; I’ll be more sensitive about that in the future”. And you know what? He never, ever, EVER said another word against Dubya at the office. Not even to his left-wing friends.
It’d be way too much of a stretch to say that this guy became a Republican or even an Independent, but if he responded that well to the way I said what I said to him, who knows? Maybe there ARE such things as miracles.
I love this story. And you are so right about the art of pursuasion.
K, I don’t think you fly solo spiritually…I think (Catholic here) there are trully angels watching over you:)
Now, I am freezing, sitting in my driveway (we have a gazillion steps to our front door, and I don’t want little people falling) so I park my “throw up pumpkin” (seeds sprawled outside the mouth) and give out candy (and multi-task on my cell) and who came on by trick or treating, but a middle schooler in a DUBYA mask, and a hand written, Sharpied tee shirt that said “MISS ME YET” I told him I did (and laughed and said that’s what everyone is saying). Which is pretty cool considering he stopped by while I was reading Pam Geller’s Atlas Shrugged page. If it was at the end of the night, I think I would have dumped my candy bowl into his bag
thanks Brother!
you and the guyz are awesome and I wish you all a happy halloween!
You have me FIRED UP AND READY TO GO!
I’ve been peeking and pokin’ this site for a while.
You are THE MAN!
Oh…and be aware. I’m sending some young’uns to ya! Play nice and tell the truth.
Thanks Kev so much for standing up for the religious clergy, they really don’t deserve all they hate they receive because of a few bad apples. I was just out today buying some new shoes for the Poor Clare convent in BC that my sister belongs to because I know they would never splurge on themselves. They are a wonderful bunch of women, and many of them have received their calling late in life. You are doing the Lord’s work, in your own way, in your own life. God loves you for it.
That was such a great post.
And I am so, so, SO sick of the idea that Catholic-bashing is considered an acceptable sport by the Left. Evangelicals run a close second, but the mocking of Catholicism has been elevated to a varsity-level sport.
I also agree with your premise that you have to take an indirect approach, and that that is far more successful.
Truly, right now, wishing I had just a soupcon of your creativity with the palm cards … I could have used some at the Capitol to hand out to all those young people who wanted to talk about the economy, the debt, spending and their futures.
But you are right about the approach. Rather than bash Obama head on, I took a more Socratic approach … explaining that they elected Obama to help guide the country out of a financial and moral morass … but what was his track record? He touted his credentials as a “community organizer” on the South side of Chicago… and with all that Harvard brain power and Lightbringer acumen, how are the residents of the South side doing now? How have their lives been materially and spiritually improved?
Absolute silence. But I could see they were thinking.
Hugs, K, and have a safe Hallowe’en.
YTZ
PS: What are you planning for your Victory breakfast Nov 3rd? Wheaties is the “Breakfast of Champions” I’m told. :=)
Kevin, my mother always said it was easier to attract with honey than vinegar, or something like that. Good on you.
As to your spiritual life, we are all so happy you have found God again. But, you don’t have to go it alone. Find yourself a good spiritual home. Being Catholic, I wouldn’t think of anything else, and I explored a few before I came back. I think you might be surprised what you find. You have a big heart and could contribute so much to a faith community.
Bless, you, Kevin for your courage and quick thinking!
Thank you Kevin for the reminder to play nice. I’m still so new at this speaking my mind to a non-family member thing that I feel like I’m sticking my foot in my mouth more times than naught. However, I’m not giving up because the magsdee that was afraid to voice her opinion spent the last few years dying a slow painful death. (May she rest in peace). It gets easier and better with practice right?
And as a new Catholic convert I appreciate you sticking up for us catholics!
http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/10/why_doesnt_everyone_know_jan_s.html
Even if he decided to ignore your suggestion, offering positive reinforcement is the way to go. The Democrat Party doesn’t understand that. I really do think they’ve become the party of hate.
I can’t believe how many Catholics are here. Count me in too.
Went to church this morning before we had our church Halloween party (that I was in charge of) and wore my “Don’t cross my path shirt” – it has a black cat on it.
Our Pastor joked with me before and after Mass that he would NEVER cross me – I scare him too much.
I just love that guy – priests have it hard. Our Pastor has been forced to make many changes in our little community (he serves three churches) and I just love him for it. Priests have so much courage, and I hate to see them criticized and made fun of for their commitment to Christ. Sure, there are some bad eggs (like everywhere), but most priests are wonderful.
Count me in as well! The Other Michelle, you are right – there are lots of Catholics on HB…that’s why if feels so familiar and safe! It’s from where we come…
As a recent Catholic convert, I appreciate the defense of my new church as well. Our two priests are wonderful men who serve God and their parish community 110%.
I posted this earlier, but it gotten eaten up by WP. Thanks for the reminder to play nice. I’m new to this speaking my mind to non-family members. I feel as though I stick my foot in my mouth more often than not. It’s better with practice right?
Welcome to the faith magsdee.
Welcome home!
Thank you!!
I won’t tolerate anyone bashing the RCC for any reason whatsoever. It will be the last defense against the Islamic stampede to the west.
You are so right! It was the Catholic Church that staved off the Turks at Lepanto in 1571 and Vienna in 1683 (I THINK those are the right years), and the Spanish Catholics fought the Muslims for OVER 700 YEARS! It is tragic that the Church is just a shell of its old self in Europe now. It’s up to us American Catholics to tell the truth about Islam!
I am convinced that the answers to so many of the illnesses of the world lie in the Theology of the Body that John Paul II taught. Among other things, it is the answer to Islam. Just imagine what GOOD NEWS it must be to Muslim women especially, that God made man and woman EQUAL, and made them to CHERISH each other, NOT enslave, oppress and mutilate!
For anyone that’s interested the best short introduction to TOB that I know of is Theology of the Body for Beginners, by Christopher West, which you can get on Amazon, or at http://www.christopherwest.com.
Although I am a very traditional Catholic and a conservative, I am very open-minded regarding the gay community. People like you are the reason why. Not all gay men and women are like the stereotypes that the (supposedly pro-gay) media portray them as. Not all gay men and women toe the liberal line without thinking for themselves.
I could just hug you after reading this. Thank you so much for standing up for what’s right. As someone else already commented, I like you more with each post I read. So glad I found you guys back in 2008!
Sarah is on Greta’s show now. Apparently, Politico posted a story (and by that I mean made up) about how dangerous Palin is to the Republican party, citing no sources and referenceing Karl Rove.
Every one of these anonymous sources is a Romney-ite. Instead of being glad that so many Republicans will be elected due to Sarah’s tireless efforts, they want to point out the one or two races that might not go the GOP’s way.
Politico and Romney are trying to break the Republican Party in two. Romeny thinks he can reassemble it after he gets the nomination, Politico just wants to do Obama’s bidding.
Did that not make you ill? Sarah is the Man! The Man that women would love to be with.. but we are women and we have more ba**s than any of those Politico/CBS/Lame Stream Media turds.
Amongst ourselves and with Hillbuzz help We will get there!!

Isn’t it funny what people will listen to and what they won’t?
When I was a nurse, I sometimes had a hard time persuading patients to get out of bed to take their meals. (It was good for their lungs and for morale.)
“Getting out of bed is good for your lungs and will help prevent pneumonia” = blank stare
“Getting out of bed will keep crumbs out of your sheets” = eager cooperation
LOL!!!
The final Gallup poll
Not even ACORN can save them now…
Gallup’s historical model suggests that a party needs at least a two-point advantage in the national House vote to win a majority of the 435 seats. The Republicans’ current likely voter margin suggests that this scenario is highly probable, making the question of interest this election not whether the GOP will win the majority, but by how much. Taking Gallup’s final survey’s margin of error into account, the historical model predicts that the Republicans could gain anywhere from 60 seats on up, with gains well beyond that possible.
It should be noted, however, that this year’s 15-point gap in favor of the Republican candidates among likely voters is unprecedented in Gallup polling and could result in the largest Republican margin in House voting in several generations. This means that seat projections have moved into uncharted territory, in which past relationships between the national two-party vote and the number of seats won may not be maintained.
Thank you Kevin for defending the religion I love. I have to attend parties with the so called “artist” Andre Serrano. He was the photographer who photographed a crucefix in a beeker of urine. He is a vile a vulgar man and not a real artist by any count. But liberals have rendered two word meaningless: art and racism. In any case when I debate about Andre with my libtard friends I make them understand that Andre’s “work” does not offend me as a Christian, it offends me as an artist. His work is cliche and cowardly. He dares to slap the face of a religion that he knows will turn the other check- what a man! The Andres of the world suceed in proving Christianity to be the religion of tolerance and forgiveness that Christ intended it to be. Creating something of breathtaking beauty is way beyond Andre’s ability, so he goes for the easy and safe controversy and the liberal left falls for it. They are a cowardly bunch of spoiled children. Catholics are like fish in a barrel for them. Thanks for your support for a religion of peace and tolerance.
Have you seen this?
This is off topic, but Kevin has mentioned this happening before in Ohio.
Pathetic Turnout at Obama’s Final Rally …Update: Despite Team O’s Claim, There Was No Brown’s Game Today
http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/10/pathetic-turnout-at-obamas-final-rally/
That’s just what everyone told them when they begged them to show up.
Everyone wasn’t washing their hair, either.
LOL!
Kevin, I wanted to also commend you for your courage in speaking the truth about the polygamist pedafile Mohammed. For those libtards who call Islam a religion of peace and tolerance, ask them why is it that among the five pillars of Islam there is no mention of peace tolerance or forgiveness.
Islam is unique in this regard. Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, and even Confucianism (which is not a religion per se) stress the moral development of the individual–with development being DEFINED as becoming ever more loving and forgiving.
Islam, on the other hand, is unique among major religions in NOT having love at its core. Moreover, Islam actively squelches even the most basic moral instincts that we are born with, such as the instinctive knowledge that cheating and stealing and murder are wrong. Islam actually ENCOURAGES its adherents to cheat and steal and murder in order to spread Islam’s control over the world!
What a sick, evil cult. The more I find out about Islam, the more I pity those who are forcibly brainwashed by it and live in societies where there is no escaping from it. The women especially in those societies are forced to spend their entire lives in a state of terror.
We need to pray hard for the release of those people from spiritual darkness and bondage! All you fellow Catholics: Take a good look at the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Notice how she’s standing on top of a black crescent? Since Islam’s symbol is a crescent, I am convinced that in this image, God has given us a sign of ultimate victory over the evil of Islam–and that Mary will play a key role in that victory.
Those of you who know history may remember that October 7, 1571, when the Muslims were defeated at Lepanto despite their overwhelming numbers, was later designated the Feast of the Rosary–because the Pope had urged all of Christendom to pray the rosary that day for victory against the Turks–and those prayers were answered.

Did that not just make you want to sob?
GWB is a good son, his Dad’s a nice guy.
Good Lord.. I miss my Dad!
He would have been 90 this year.
Hubby and I had tears in our eyes, we both miss our Dads.
Glad GHWB and GWB still have some precious time together!
I miss GW Bush. (good pitch too!)
Aww.. GHW Bush.. and Barbara in the crowd was so sweet to see.
Did you see Barbara busily scoring the game?
And did you notice after “God Bless America” how W. was craning his neck to watch the vets as they left the field until they were out of sight?
Boo hoo-ing…miss GW more than I ever imaged…loved that he got such a rock star welcome!
Pitch perfect throw too!
And when they sang God Bless America after the 7th (sung by Four Troops…those soldiers that now have a popular singing group)….they showed a slow-mo shot of the Bush’s riding in on the golf cart. W was driving and looked so content and comfortable. I love him.
Okay – can I add how sexy GW looked driving in on that golf cart….:)
I heart him too!
Proves both Bushes are good people. And unlike the current President, he can actually pitch!
Interesting. MLB has pulled that video all over youtube for copyright reasons. Yet, all the videos of Obama’s lame mom-pitch are still there.
Sarah Palin was raised Catholic until about the age of nine. Then her mother decided to join a Pentacostal church. I think that sect of Christianity is more popular in Alaska and perhaps many of their friends were Pentacostals. I often wonder if revealing her Catholic roots would help the very liberal Catholic voting block to take an unpredjudiced look at Palin as a presidential hopefull. I think it’s something she should consider. Too many catholics are being nudged toward the left. I think Palin can appeal to many of them if they only knew she was once Catholic.
If she’s baptised Catholic, she’d be considered Catholic by many as well.
I don’t know folks–she is, after all a Catholic who LEFT the Catholic Church (even if she was just a kid) and has never come back to it. I don’t think that’s a selling point. Conservative Catholics are sad that she’s not a Catholic anymore–and liberal Catholics are going to hate her no matter what!
I’m so sick of all the “Catholics” in public office such as Leahy, Pelosi, the late Ted Kennedy, Kerry, Cuomo, et al., that I’d just as soon leave religious labels out of it.
Kevin – we are all fortunate to have found your blog – and most if not all pray for you – for safety and prosperity – and yes, even love!
As for flying alone – Kevin – remember God created us and loves all of us – He does not like any sin – and that includes sins of hate, bigotry, along with any others – further – He does not hate one sin more than another and He warns us not to judge other’s sins, only to love everyone as Jesus showed in His Life. Jesus sat and ate with even those others called sinners — and I know He would be pleased to sit at dinner with you!
Be blessed Kevin!!
Nicely said. People like Kevin are the reason that I KNOW God doesn’t hate gay people. Who else could have reached that altar boy turned boy scout the way he did? It takes all kinds.
Thank you, Kevin, for being who you are and blending integrity with graciousness so well.
Another Halloween miracle — this pic is worth 1000 words.

asks, is that Joker kid not a remarkable look alike for The Won? Perhaps a child not yet acknowledged?
The resemblance was astonishing. lol
If people are seriously writing and telling Kevin to get a proofreader…GET A LIFE.
That said, we have a wonderful Halloween here in Tennessee as well. All the neighbors out on their porches, houses lit up, kids young and old trick or treating…the way it should be.
Brilliant. I am now officially a Kevin Groupie.
I was frustrated last night with the amoung of high-schoolers out t-n-ting…I mean really…if you are a HSer who feels they need go out and trick-or-treat…YOU ARE LAME!
What happened where we went is SO many people just kept their lights off and wouldn’t open their doors…because of all the High Schoolers I can’t blame them. Then the ones that DID open their doors only gave one small piece of candy…because they had SO many high-schoolers coming by. I don’t blame the home owners at all…I would be doing the same things.
Come on teens…go have a party somewhere if you want to show off your slut vampire and pimp costumes…don’t make it “no fun” for the small kids!
He did look very happy and relaxed didn’t he? I was thinking the same thing.
Kevin,
Thanks for this post. You are a “class act.”
Regarding being convincing, yes, it’s an art to get into the mind of the other and address the argument from the standpoint of their needs.
Way to go Kevin for using some good old verbal jujitsu. Redefine the debate and flank the knee-jerk words. And voila Justin gets a far more awesome costume.
And yes there is a problem with Mo and Aisha. Big problem. To say nothing is to condone it. But when Juan williams or Elizabeth Moon say they have issues with Islam, the Left gets out the pitchforks. It seems they are afraid to examine their alliance or let their followers examine it.
You’ll want to know what’s going on in NY to take down Congressman Nadler on Israel

Not sure if you heard this, but one of the recent explosive packages supposedly being sent to a Chicago synagogue from Yemen last week, was addressed to Congregation Or Chadash on Sheridan Road, a reform temple for gays, lesbians and transgender jews. Since some muslims or islam seems to have a problem with gays, I guess that should not be a surprise. What is a surprise is that I did not know this temple existed in Chicago.
“Return to Sender” c/o The Great Mosque, Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Deliver before 12:01 PM at all costs .
Another despicable act by the religion of “peace”.

Please forward this story as I doubt the LSM will cover it much if at all.
