Megan Fox ran a cute story today, about her calls to Adam Kinzinger’s office to keep him from going to prom with Democrats tonight.
Turns out, Kinzinger’s bought no corsage, has rented no tux, and won’t be playing any of the Democrats’ games this evening. Good for him.
No word on what the usual suspects in the Cocktail Party GOP establishment will be up to, though.
Lindsey Graham, I’m sure, is dolling himself up to leap across the aisle and sit with as many Democrats as possible. The nice looking male ones, anyway. He’ll be joined by Mark Kirk and the Weird Sisters of Maine most likely. Good thing there are no more Kennedys in Congress to spike the punch. Lord only knows what would happen.
Republicans seem to behave this way because they breathlessly hope the media will love them for appearing so “bipartisan” (when in fact they only ever seem foolish). Whenever they behave this way, they’re not being bipartisan so much as proving they are just Democrats with little (Rs) after their names.
It’s nice to see Kinzinger’s not playing these games.
Even nicer to have an excuse to run another smoking hot photo of Adam Kinzinger.
