A full frontal assault on the Race Industry is needed
Can’t wait to see how much hate mail we’ll get from Liberals for speaking the truth on this one, so here goes.
Today on the bus we had one of those Chicago moments that make us realize a full frontal assault on the Race Industry is truly needed, starting now, to reap dividends in 2010 and 2012.
The bus was packed with holiday shoppers — packed to bursting, actually, to the point where people were almost hanging off the side like it was New Delhi and not Chicago.
A black family was on the bus, with a very sick baby who was vomiting and passing gas loudly for a long part of the ride (in a movie, the baby would have been played by Eddie Murphy in a fat suit, swaddled in pink, encased in a giant stroller blocking most of the aisle).
There were four or five adults, and a few teenaged kids in the group (all of whom would also be played by Eddie Murphy in fat suits, because Eddie Murphy hates the world and wants to punish us all). One of the male adults thought the flatulence was hilarious, and the rest of the troupe agreed, laughing their heads off at the gassy, vomiting baby (which, we note, was allowed to puke all over the floor, with no effort made to clean it up and, truth be told, no evidenced concern for the baby itself, who was convincingly reenacting the Exorcist for long stretches of the ride down Halsted).
That man took everything on a very ugly turn and racialized what was already a gross and vulgar bus ride.
He started saying, “Oh, lordy, look at all these white people, all pretending they don’t smell nothing. ‘Oh, why, I never,’ they’re all saying and pretend they can’t smell she pooted. Ha ha ha. Pretend you can’t hear me too, ha ha ha. You white people are so stupid, ha ha ha. That baby pooted and y’all pretend it ain’t nothing, ha ha ha. White people.”
We would have quoted him verbatim, because we wrote down word for word what he said in one of the little Moleskins we carry with us at all time, but then we’d be accused of RAAACISM, surely, for accurately reflecting the poor grammar, expletives, and true spirit of his remarks. He was like something out of an old movie Liberals successfully got banned from the air — only he was REAL, and unfortunately a character we see walking around causing problems in Chicago ALL THE TIME.
How many times can something be “an unfair racial stereotype” when it’s TRUE, and you see it right in front of your face on the CTA in Chicago?
After we got off the bus, because we couldn’t take any more of this (the “pooting”, and the racism directed at white people from this black family), and decided to walk the rest of the way and get some fresh air, we thought about what would have happened if a white person (or, really, if an Asian or a Hispanic or Native American) had been talking about or making fun of black people on the bus the way the black family was making fun of whites. There would have been a riot, probably, with media choppers descended upon the scene, possibly air-lifting in Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson themselves.
Can you imagine?
What’s interesting is that we didn’t feel comfortable ourselves calling that loudmouth out on the bus. One of us wanted to, but was stared down by the rest, in that “Sebastian, don’t start another bar fight over misogyny” look given whenever Liberals in a room bring out a two-minute-hate about something and we stand up for whatever woman’s being dragged through coals that day. The impulse was to say to that black man, “Excuse me, but what does race have to do with anything here? People are being polite and pretending they don’t smell the baby’s flatulence or strawberry-pink vomit everywhere, because they know it’s not the baby’s fault and they don’t want to get into any argument with you, who is clearly looking for some kind of fight. People are tired, they just want to get home, and so they are pretending this little vignette’s not even going on in front of them. It has nothing to do with RACE, but manners”.
It’s also really about people not wanting to say boo to that family lest they be called RAAACISTS!, probably, because the terror of being labeled a RAAACIST has been applied so effectively in the last 30 years that families like the one on the bus use race as a weapon and enabler of bad behavior EVERY DAY. It works, so they do it.
They are, in fact, ENCOURAGED to behave this way by the “leaders of the black community”, such as Sharpton, Jackson, Henry Gates, Eric Holder, John Lewis, James Clyburne, Charlie Rangle, and our illustrious president and first lady themselves.
Maybe that was the whole point in that man saying, so the whole bus could hear, “Oh, you white people this and that”. He was clearly not a stupid person, was decently dressed, and looked like he had a job. He had sense enough to know that it was pretty bad they were just letting a baby spew strawberry-pink vomit on the floor of a moving bus, while the baby crepitated more than Oprah after chili day at Harpo Studios. We think part of what he did was pre-empt any sort of criticism of the family, by “calling white people out” and saying the things everyone on the bus was thinking about the baby so that no one could actually say them — lest he then call them RAAACISTS for saying anything bad about the black family’s bad behavior.
It’s like on a bad date when someone who’s fat or balding talks about how people hold his being fat and balding against him, so that if the person across the table from him at dinner goes there, that person would look insensitive and prejudiced.
Great psychology there.
We bet the Race Industry gives seminars on this stuff.
And all of this makes us wonder why a concerted, full frontal assault on the Race Industy itself has never been mounted.
Race cards all expired on January 20th, 2009 at twelve noon when the current president took office. It is no longer legitimate for any black person in this or any other country to claim they are being held back by anyone in power, when the person with the most power in the entire world is a biracial black-identifying man.
The MSM has promoted the idea that if you criticize our 44th president in any way, you are a RAAACIST.
If you think a black person is wrong in any way, you are a RAAACIST.
If you are the victim of anything a black person does — from vomiting on the bus, to muggings (of which we here have received TWO, one in New York and one in Chicago), to the crime spree black transvestites in the Center on Halsted Gang have been on in Boystown — then you are a RAAACIST for not appreciating how your victimizers are victims too.
You damn dirty RAAACISTS.
If we had YouTube capabilities and any skill at all in editing and design, we’d put out commercials we’d love to go viral that would tell the general public how okay it is to tell black people they are wrong.
One commercial could be the vignette above, with the crass Klumps family out for a ride on the bus, ruining everyone’s day.
The voiceover could say, “It is not racist to tell black people they are wrong. It is not racist to be disgusted by crass behavior. It is not racist to tell a loudmouth to SHUT THE F*** UP. The Race Industry is a fraud. Stop supporting it.”
This could be a whole series.
It is not racist to hire a more qualified person if the black applicant won’t do as good of a job as the white one.
It is not racist, if you are a waiter providing excellent service, to expect a 15% tip, minimum, from a black table the same as you would from every other table — and be upset when the black table stiffs you or leaves the equivalent of 5% instead.
It is not racist to clutch your bag tighter and cross the street if you see three big black guys in hoodies headed your way — this is, in fact, how you keep from getting mugged and having everything valuable you own stolen, as we learned here quite well in 2009.
It is not racist to tell a black person whatever they are complaining about has nothing at all to do with race.
Not everything bad that happens to all of us here in the course of a day is because we are gay. Some of it’s because we didn’t plan ahead well enough, didn’t do things we were supposed to do, and because we were lazy. Late for work? It’s not because we are gay that we didn’t get a space on the crowded bus — it’s because we didn’t allow enough time for that possibility. Overslept? It’s not because we are gay that somebody didn’t wake us up — we should have woken up our damn selves. Rejected by a hottie at the bar — it’s not because we are gay, or too gay, or not gay enough — he was just not that into us.
We believe Dr. Utopia receiving the affirmative action Nobel Prize was a tipping point for many people, whether they realize it or not. That was such a colossal joke, there are still those we know — educated people — who are CONVINCED it was honestly a joke, where The Onion somehow punked the world and no one in Norway bothered to correct it.
The national reserve of Race Industry-dependent white guilt was used up in 2008, which is something else many people (to their detriment, ultimately) don’t realize (paging Sharpton, Jackson, Gates, Holder, et al).
Couple that with the MSM fawning over Dr. Utopia as the greatest president in our history just because he is a biracial black-identifying man, and there’s a window of opportunity where people for the first time in DECADES could be willing to exorcise the racial boogeymen the Left depends on.
Standing up to the Race Industry will take guts.
We saw how hard this is on that bus ride. We had a chance there, in a small way, and didn’t want to make a scene.
But, just imagine if commercials like the one we talked about for YouTube really could be made, and actually put on real TV somehow. It would set off a cultural FIRESTORM. “You are not a racist for disagreeing with a black person”.
That’s such a simple concept, and so true, but it would absolutely be a stake through the heart of Liberalism (which depends not only on lockstep black voting allegiance, but the stranglehold racialized politics holds on many Americans who fear ever stepping even slightly out of line because they’d then be branded RAAACISTS).

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/11/24/racial-terror-in-denver-that-wont-make-national-news/
There’s some racial violence going on in Denver that sounds suspiciously like what you described in Boystown. Michelle Malkin has the story and in the press accounts she links, it doesn’t mention the gay angle, but reading between the lines, I’m wondering if it’s the same thing going on? It’s bad, either way, but to this conservative Catholic, it’s another disgraceful example of the pc-police endangering lives in order to keep their purity intact. Disgraceful.
I live in the Denver area, and this is the first I have heard of this. I guess another topic the news media has decided to keep to themselves. I’m pretty sure it might have something to do with the shoppers and visitors on the 16th steet mall and lodo areas. Yep, better to get the money than to warn people of their imminent danger.
The bit that does my head in is when people complain that, say taxi drivers apparently won’t pick up black men at night. Or that black men allegedly get followed in shops. Or that a black guy was arrested because he was seen trying to break into a house which no one knew was his.
This is meant to be a sign of racism. Er, what? Black American (but not black Africans, curiously enough) males comprise 6% of the population and commit 54% of the murders, 47% of the burglaries and 38% of the forcible rapes. Being worried about black men is not racism. It’s sense.
And considering how often these thugs terrorise other blacks, surely it’s racist to not target these people? Black people do face terrible challenges, but they all seem to come from liberals trying to deny such challenges exist (as with crime) or to do what is necessary to combat them (as with education and the economy).
It is the fatal tendency of liberals to keep people panicked about potential, hypothetical assaults on their civil rights while ignoring the very real, actual assaults that are happening in real time.
Boyz, next time you see a baby vomiting pink, call a cop–that’s likely blood from internal injuries. And that was probably the reason this jackass created the raaacist diversion, to keep anyone from looking more closely at or doing anything about what was going on.
Public service announcements about the mind-warping tyranny of the race-baiters is a wonderful idea. Maybe an HB reader/YouTuber could put one together, and we could share the URL on every blog we can find–make it go viral.
My own slogan that I’d like to see go viral is “The statute of limitations has run,” meaning that we’ve spent enough time yapping about the evils of slavery and it no longer has any relevance in the public discourse. (Now that original source documents are readily available, we can see that slaves who went to the U.S. were lucky compared to, e.g., places in Africa–yes, Africa–where they were literally worked to death and replaced, since that was cheaper than giving them lifelong care and giving food and shelter to their families.)
One eye-opener for me after I’d moved to NY: African immigrants here make it a point to let you know ASAP that they’re not American blacks. That goes for cab drivers, university teachers, women you start chatting with in a line at the store… Homegrowns hate them for their work ethic and give them a rough time. And these hard-working immigrants are disgusted by the ABs’ attitude. Amazing that the work ethic applies darn near everywhere but in the Black Community.
In the next town over from me, there is an Ethiopian gentleman who was brought here at the age of 18 or 19 as some sort of refugee. When he arrived, he had no friends or family (he is an orphan of war), spoke no English and had no formal education.
By enrolling in a program called Job Corps, in just two short years this man had learned to speak English fluently AND had completed the equivalent of education through high school. In another year or so, he earned a certification as a pharmacy technician, and now enjoys a fairly well-paying career.
Any objective individual would agree that this gentleman had a harder life that virtually anyone born here in the United States, yet he was able to not only survive, but excel! Through nothing more than his own determination, he went from nothing to everything in just three years.
Despite the color of his skin, this guy actually became more successful than the average white person. Why would racism not be a factor in his life if it’s such a big deal for others?
Variations on his inspiring story are everywhere. I’ve met people who left highly paid, even highly placed, professional positions to come here and essentially start over. They are focused and they succeed. They have a respect for the laws of cause-and-effect and a horror of being a parasite or a failure.
They are also often targets of resentful thugs who think they’re being “shown up” or having their jobs taken from them–the entry-level and unglamorous jobs they aren’t willing to do.
The children of these immigrants will revitalize our parties (the GOP, at least) and our country. That is, IF the deadwood voters don’t outnumber them, which I fear is becoming the case. Think about it: the number of college-indoctrinated twerps plus the entitlement class equals one huge voting bloc. What to do about this??
A good friend of mine came to the Midwest from Romania four years ago with a small savings, little English, and no contacts here in the States. Now he is finishing his MBA, and has worked in finance at two Fortune 500 companies. He laughs at the idea that some people couldn’t succeed in the USA.

I’ve met black people from various African countries, England, and the Caribbean, and they were almost universally friendlier and more polite than a lot of American blacks. Actually, I think immigrants on the whole tend to be more hard-working because they’re so grateful they’re in America and have better opportunities now.
In my experience, first year immigrants are hardworkers. It is eye opening to see the difference between African immigrants and American Blacks. But it is not surprisingly because immigrants who come here look at what they can do, what opportunities they can pursue while those who are homegrown look with distain over what’s expected of them.
My first enounter with race began when I was a freshman at an Illinois state university. My incoming class was heavily represented by them, and they were among the loudest, most noticeable group. They played basketball well into the wee hours during the week night. While the rest of us had tattered blue jeans and t-shirts, they wore fashionable clothes and carried matching brief cases. Their ladies tended to be among the loudest in this group. I found my attitude decline in having to deal with them, which is not like me. They seemed to go through their college lives like that for two years, then they don’t come back in the junior year. Why? I asked. It’s because the State has funding for them to attend school for the first years. After that they are on their own. How did I know this? Because of all of the roommates I’ve ever had, the best one was an African American gentleman who also grew up in the south side of Chicago. Russell was so humble, humormous, and was free to explain anything about his comrades without the usual overreacted, overly defense charge of racism. He was loved for those qualities of his and for the fact that had an incredible work ethic. Why? Because his family (he had both parents and siblings) owned a dry cleaning business where they knew they had to work hard or to sink. He explained all about the arrogance displayed by his black peers – naely, they feel that they are invincible, they cannot be called out becasue it would be easily responded with a charge of racism. Russell was type of man who made no defense for strange behavior, and he always displays the best of himself 100% of the time. My friends and my then girlfriend/now wife really loved Russell. We often wonder where he is today.
Have you tried looking to see if he’s on Facebook?
my Daughter, (who is half Asian, btw) can tell you about how they TIP! if they TIP at all!!
She grumbles about that often!
That word, has lost all meaning for me ever since they tried to throw Bill C under the bus for being one! The NERVE! Nope, it’s lost all meaning. Call me what ever you want. I know the truth.
Thanks for being brave enough to post the truth! {{many hugs}} 2 Truth! Salute!
Last year I had a very bad online experience because of a black woman. No need to go into all of the details. I found her to be disgusting. I could not understand why she found it funny to post pictures of people blowing gas. I found it very offensive. The woman comes from Chicago.
That experience ended very badly and it came to a crescendo when a white man mentioned that a house she was describing sounded like a dump. Actually from the description of the place he was absolutely correct. The house was a dump. Yet to say that caused an uproar because according to this woman she was “a victim”. Now get this: the woman in question is an architect. How can a black woman who is a professional be a victim? Hmmmmm… this is why the victim and race industry has gone too far.
BTW as a woman in my past I did face real discrimination. The company was Coopers and Lybrand, the accounting firm. The girls were told very firmly that the company would not employ them because “women do not like the audit jobs where they go place to place”… kinda something like that. On another occasion, and with a different company because I married an Air Force Officer I was given a similar spiel about how a woman would not stay on the job very long….
“Race Industry” is a good term, and the points brought up in this post are valid.
I am not so naive as to believe racism (against minorities) is truly dead in this country… but I know for absolute certain that the so-called “reverse racism” (racism by minorities against whites) is not only alive, but more prevalent.
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are just two examples of people who’ve made buckets of money from the Race Industry. Racism will not die until these people can no longer profit from it.
Furthermore, Democrats in general profit politically from the perceived existence of racism (why else would blacks vote Democrat 80+% of the time?). That, in itself, is incredible considering Democrats were responsible for the KKK and segregation, and campaigned heavily against both Civil Rights Acts, which were sponsored by Republicans. Racism cannot die until the politicians can no longer use it as a foil for garnering votes.
These people are keeping racism alive in this country, and doing everything they can to make it worse. They WANT black people to feel like victims, because it creates the perfect opportunity to shape opinions AND collect donations.
The tactics employed by these so-called “leaders” is abhorrent. It’s an insult to the legacy of the great works of MLK, and to the courage of people like Rosa Parks.
It will never change until other black leaders arise who are not tainted by the lure of money or power.
Great statement “Racism will not die until these people can no longer profit from it.” I’ll be quoting you.
What you convey is genius. It is so hard to capture this, but you did.
I have lived in other countries where there was an underclass that was treated like dirt by the main population (e.g., Roma, a.k.a., Gypsies). The behavior that you so well describe is NOT the behavior of a persecuted underclass. If Roma behaved like this on a bus in Macedonia, they’d get their teeth kicked out by the natives.
It is examples like you give that illustrate that we live in two separate worlds: the world of the politically correct narrative and the actual world.
Brilliant post.
Rude black people make me way more irritated than rude white people, because with rude black people you know no one will call them on it except maybe another black person (typically an older one).
I loved it when Bill Cosby made that speech calling out black people who don’t work hard and are bad parents. They don’t have any good excuses, they just are content to blame other people for their problems.

Don’t miss this opportunity! Can’t wait to see them!
Shortly after the Inauguration, I was informed by an A-A coworker – who has recently taken to dressing like she just emigrated from The Congo – that due to the man in the White House she is “protected,” meaning that she no longer has to worry about being fired or subjected to any of life’s hard knocks to which you and I (whiteys) are not immune. I have no clue where she got that idea, but it occurs to me she’s likely right.
There was this girl on Maury (don’t ask) shortly after the inauguration who claimed that she didn’t have to worry about going to school or getting a job, because Obama was going to take care of her now. It was incredible.
That is just pure ignorance, entitlement and victim mentality on full display. I still go to work, I stil ahve the same bills, the same staggering student loan. I still ahve to get to work on time, I still have to invest time and money in my small business. I still have to follow the speed limit, I still have to pay my check at dinner, and I still have little ones to take care of. That woman, and those who follow that line of thinking are entirely ignoroant that NOTHING in this life is free, Anything gained by taking from someone else is ill-gained.
Back in the mid nineties I lived in Hyde Park. Once I was waiting outside my apartment building for someone to go grocery shopping. It was blowing snow with a minus 10′F wind chill and I was interested mainly in keeping my skin from freezing. Suddenly I was disturbed by this A-A guy who was yelling at me because, according to him, I was ignoring his presence (the other option would be I could’ve been looking at him and then he could’ve gotten mad because I was profiling him). This attitude says a lot about the state of affairs in our country regarding race nowadays.
Now that is a man-child. It’s a no win situation. I’ll bet you prayed that your ride would get there NOW!
.
Actually, I prayed that I wasn’t going to lose it and smack him upside the head and get kicked out of the U of C for committing a hate crime
It is happening in Atlanta, too–
http://thebastardofthechurch.wordpress.com/2009/11/21/racism-is-alive-and-well-living-in-downtown-atlanta/
This is long. Bear with me…
Several weeks ago I was in a Family Dollar on the border of Cleveland Heights and South Euclid, OH. I ran in there to pick up one item. I walk up to the cash register and find no cashier. There was a cart off to the side with several items in it. To me, it looked like stuff that needed to be reshelved.
After about two minutes the cashier returns with an AA customer. Apparently she was helping the lady find an item. The lady sees me standing in line at the register and steps right in front of me to have the cashier ring up her recently found item. I was dumbfounded.
As the cashier was ringing up that lady, AA lady #2 comes to the line. She has an armful of items which she drops in the cart that was off to the side. She has dozens of items, I have one. Here is our conversation. Imagine the English very similar to what you experienced on the bus….
AA #2 (in a very harsh tone): You cut in front of me in line.
Me: No one was here when I got in line.
AA #2: My cart was here. That means I was in line.
Me: No it doesn’t. You left the line to go get more items at which point I got in the front of the line. (I’m really thinking…I *was* in the front of the line. But AA#1 apparently just took that spot).
AA#2: You’re in my spot.
Me: I didn’t take your spot. You were not here. It was just a cart.
AA#2 (shouting): MY CART WAS HERE! YOU CUT!
Me: (At this point I was so surprised that this was going on I’m sure my body language revealed that. Seriously. Does anybody even use the phrase, ‘You cut!’ after the 4th grade? I was shocked. If you go to a store, leave a cart in line, come back to find someone has stepped in front of the cart b/c you weren’t there, isn’t proper protocol to let them be rung up first? Especially when that person has one item and you have thirty-some? Finally, she gave in….)
AA#2: Well, go ahead. I’ll let it slide this time.
This time….? What’s that even mean…? Is she assuming I’m going to cut in front of her at another store at some point in the future and at that point there will be retribution?
We moved to Cleveland from Portland, OR 18 months ago, and I’ve seen all that you’ve said to be true. I never experienced anything like that from the AA community in the Pacific Northwest. But here in Cleveland, at times, I feel very hated b/c I am white.
Last year at my son’s elementary an AA 7 year old told him to ‘Move his ugly white ass’. Absolutely no discipline was taken toward the other child, I think primarily b/c the staff and admin of the school were white. The AA kids who needed to get in trouble, didn’t. Now, could you imagine what would have happened to my son had he used derogatory comments to the little AA boy?
Are you kidding me. Just came home from a great dinner to see this story about four cops having coffee before a shift in upstate Washington and were open fired upon by a 25-35 year old black male. Where is Dr. Utopia? Shouldn’t he be making a comment about someone acting stupidly? Oh, that’s right, the suspect is described as a 25-35 year old black male and it didn’t take place anywhere of significance to him.
Dear God, bless these families. I know their pain.
This was basically a “hit”. No bystanders were hurt, shot at, or even aimed at. The cops were in uniform and their marked police cars were parked out front.
In a related vein: Disney is coming out with an animated movie featuring a black princess. I have been so over-saturated with Michelle Obama as the gold standard of American/International beauty, I am taking a pass on this one (and I have seen ALL the Disney animated movies). I wonder what the box office of this new film will be?
I am going to watch “Mulan” again, instead. I think it is fitting, as China seems poised to take advantage od Dr. Utopia.
I had to think long and hard before I responded to this one. First of all, I am so sorry what you went through on your bus ride. It was completely uncalled for. So-Guys-I am going to give you some advice. As an African American woman, this is hard to say. But you needed to give it right back to these rude people. If good white people are afraid to do what is right, then all is lost. So-Call My People out when the act like fools. And by doing so, they will know that that behavior is totally unacceptable in our society.
I know that there is white guilt over slavery-but none of you owned any of us. We deserve to be treated like all Americans with equal oportuntity-we do not deserve to be excused for acting badly. So my fellow Americans stand up for what is right-do not take that crap(excuse my language) from anyone.
But would we be the racist if we responded that way??
Even though some would call you that ugly name, you would not be one. I am just so sorry that you guys go through this. We live in American and the 1st Amendment of the Constitution protects political speech. Speak the truth because the truth will never fail you. But I also want you also to protected from these idiots. Just be careful out there.
What is so good about Hillbuzz is that you can speak freely here. It is so good to be around folks who love our country. God Bless you guys!
Deb, I swear we’re sisters, and not just si-stahs
You took the words right out of my mouth. I think you guys should have let Sebastian have his say. White people need to stand up for themselves against this type of behavior. I know exactly what you mean…there is like some unspoken rule that black people can say whatever they want to say to white folks, without rebuttal.
I vote you let Sebastian have at it. That would have shocked that entire family.
Crystal, you do not know how good it is to have another black woman on my side. And the great thing about our is that we can include patriotic americans of all races, religions, sexual orientations, etc. Our side loves this country.
God bless all of you guys
DebB and Crystal,
You are kindred souls with your fellow HB fans. One of the worst things about the race hucksters is that they put a fake barrier between people who would otherwise connect on shared personal grounds–ideological, professional, recreational, etc. I suspect you have to deal with a lot of frustrating, presumptuous preliminaries when you meet potential new friends and new coworkers, given that you’re MOR or right of center. You really put a lot on the line when you stand up for your values. Bless you, and thank you.
Thank you for you support. And you are right-when you are black and say that some conservative values would help us, you get dirty looks. What is so funny is that I have not always felt this way. I had always voted Democratic until 2008. Last years election was a wake up call. When the party that you have supported stabs one of its’ own in the back to push someone that is clearly unqualified-it is like cold water being throw on you. So this is when I started listening to conservatives and realized that some of their ideas were not that bad. That conservatives generally talk about a belief in God and that big government destroys almost everything that it touches. So this when I started to look at the AA community. Our out of wedlock birth rate is 70%(pathetic). We have let the government step in and become the main bread winner of the family. Black men have been pushed out of the household and the government has become the father figure. And you wonder why things are so messed up. But the great thing is that things can be changed. This is why is so important for good people to call bad behavior out. In closing I want you to remember Szoo that we at Hillbuzz have your back. Again thank you so much for your kind words. God bless you guys
Stories like these just make me tired and sad.
I don’t want to call the family out. If they were just trying to deal with the baby and having a hard time, as a Mom I would have tried to help if I could. I had a pukey baby once myself and if this kid had something like reflux, all they would have gotten was sympathy from me (and napkins if I had some on me). If I got irritated by anything, it would be at the guy in the group that was making fun of a tough situation. Pukey babies can make any sort of travel a nightmare.
This sort of thing doesn’t just set up a stand off, it can immediately cause anyone of good will to back down and retreat. Do we need more of THAT in this society?
I hate anyone that acts like they’re in a fight when no one is fighting. Under different circumstances with any guy making light of the situation, I normally would give him shit for being insensitive to the MOM. However, I have a vested interest in not getting my ass kicked, so I would have just shut up and minded my own business. Not interested in being on the news with fewer teeth.
Again, it’s really sad.
As a Black man I have to say I agree and disagree with DebB. Stuff needs to be called out, but the sad pitiful fact that really stinks is that there is always a subtle fear of violence in these encounters. No one wants to say anything because they just might be up against some thug who has no problem beating up a gay White dude, “because he dissrespeted me.”
The racism in this country has been made much much worse by 40+ years of leftist politics that have created an industry and culture of victimization and entitlement that degrades culture and manners. And everyone’s afraid to speak out because the reality of Black violent crime is too real to ignore.
Atlanta has the same problem–click my name

How awful for that baby.
Yup.
I can’t stop thinking about that poor little baby, who should have been home.
Just to throw something fun & positive into the mix:
When I was in the Navy back in ’74 I was stationed in Monterey, CA. I had a couple of buddies who had an apartment together off base. Warren was white and from Texas. Russ was black and from Louisiana. They had this shtick they’d do at parties. Russ would turn to Warren and say, “Hey, n*****, my beer’s empty. Go get me another.” Warren would respond, “F*** you, cracker. Get it yourself.” Then, as all us drunken sailors and our wives spilled drinks on ourselves laughing, they’d launch every stereotype insult they could think of at each other, only backasswards.
God, I loved those guys.
How sad that that patheteic man would use a sick child as an excuse to spew his own hatred of whites.
Perhaps one reasons he wasn’t called to account is the fear of a knife or gun or some other violence from a race I believe to be more violent than whites. Would he have been so ‘brave’ if the bus were filled with whites and just a few blacks? Doubtful. Cowards always need cover.
A thread I see running through the black community (not all, but far too many) is a feeling that they’re in control now because one of them is in the White House and it gives them the excuse to behave as badly as they like. Are they not aware that this one term president will leave the White House and it won’t be another black who moves in? He will leave it in disgrace, but they’ll deny, deny, deny. Pitiful.
No one teaches basic manners anymore.
Oh, there are some of us that teach them. It’s just that there is a large contingent of society that refuses to embrace them.
Indeed.
True story:
One of the very best lessons I learned at college came from a little blonde theater major in my Lit 231 class.
Small liberal arts college, tiny class size–maybe a dozen of us sitting around trying to make some universal sense out of Beowulf. And there was this basketball player in there who happened to be black in the class. Over and over he would speak up in class in a perfectly nasty tone of voice and try to make everything out to be racist somehow. He could be pretty creative with it, really. Here he was, this hugely tall basketball player, and mostly no one argued with him because he was a bit frightening.
So one day theater major girl, who sat right in front of him, was disagreeing with something he’d said during the class discussion. He, nasty tone and all, responded in that slightly menacing way: “You’re just saying that because I’m black.”
Well, she whipped her head around to face him so fast you’d have thought she’d get whiplash, and pointed her finger right in his face and said, “Oh no, (whatever his name was), I want to make sure you take this 100% PERSONALLY. I don’t like YOU because YOU’RE an A$$HOLE.”
I don’t much remember what we finally decided about Beowulf, but I sure remember that.
What a brilliant idea! Know anyone who has the technical skills to pull it off? Been saying for over a year now with the ascension of Obongo to the throne that the race crap is sooooo yesterday and done. I remember reading a WSJ article before he was elected. Several successful prominent black men expressed concern that should he be elected the gravy train may come to a halt. They hesitated to vote for Obongo because….the spoils system was too important. Get it? Turns out they had nothing to fear. They CAN have it all. Unless we have the courage to take back what was stolen from us. Our humanity.
Atlanta is the capital of reverse discrimination. My home county of Dekalb is the epicenter.
Back in the 90s, my wife and I went house hunting in predominantly black south Dekalb county. My wife had grown up in the area, and wasn’t uncomfortable being in the racial minority.
We pulled into a new subdivison to look at homes. The black saleslady came running out to greet us. Once we got out of the car and she noticed that we were white,
everything changed.
“I can LET you look at a home, but I’m afraid they’re all sold.” ( The home she LET us look at was one that have suffered storm damage. A tree had taken the corner off the side roof).
Evidently, the homes were for sale. Just not to whites, as they were still homes being built and sold in that subdivision two years after we’d visited.
If anyone would like some further evidence of reverse discrimination go to
“dekalb school watch” and read how south
Dekalb gets brand new schools while the schools in the predominatly white or hispanice section of the county are allowed
to crumble.
