The Coming Disaster for Chicago: The G8 Summit in May

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Hillbuzz

Living here in Chicago, I’ve already begun planning what Justin and I are going to do in May when the G8 Summit hits town. We live close enough to where this will be happening that I’m actually concerned for our physical safety.  Today, I was talking with a few neighbors and they told me they are planning to be out of town while the G8 is here until they leave town and the police or military are able to restore order and the fire department is able to get the damage the summit causes under control.

You read that right — people on the ground here in Chicago 100% believe that the G8 Summit here is going to precipitate riots, fires, massive property destruction, and all out anarchy in the third largest city in the country during the month of May.

Occupy Wall Street’s thug brigades will be out in force, joined by ACORN and the SEIU and the Black Panthers and the rest of the Obama re-election coalition.

In essence, what’s going to convene here in Chicago in May is a sort of shadow Democrat Convention.  While the actual, official Democrat Party convention will be held in North Carolina in August, the DNC is taking steps to make the Occupy crowd and the other thugs feel unwelcome.

This means these groups will come to Chicago in May for their own “unofficial convention” that centers around disrupting the G8 Summit and possibly burning portions of the downtown Loop to the ground.

This is really scary stuff — and it’s criminally foolish that Chicago was chosen for this G8 Summit.

I love the idea raised in this article about the disaster that’s heading for Chicago in May: it asks why summits like these can’t be held in Antarctica or on Guam?

Before New York was chosen for the seat of the UN, the Roosevelt administration wanted to give the UN one of the least populated Hawaiian islands to use as a permanent diplomatic base for the United Nations.  This would have avoided all the problems having the UN in a major American city causes.  In some alternate reality where the Hawaiian UN base was built, all of these various global summits could be held there all the time…sparing cities like Chicago from the horror these things cause.

There’s going to be violence at this G8 Summit.  The Occupy crowd is going to kill some people.  ACORN, the SEIU, the Black Panthers, and the other Obama thugs are going to flex their muscles and rev up a lot of anger and hatred against conservatives in May…because Barack Obama can’t run on “Hope & Change” again so his only option is “Occupy & Persecute”.

Please pray for us here in Chicago because we’re preparing to be in the crosshairs.

Wikipedia Will Go Dark On Wednesday to Protest SOPA/PIPA

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Action Items, Gold Team - Creativity

According to Nikki Finke at DeadlineHollywood, Wikipedia is going dark on Wednesday to protest SOPA/PIPA.

The point is to give people a taste of how much their lives would change if websites they are used to suddenly start disappearing because Eric Holder and the Obama Administration are given the power to obliterate sites they don’t particularly care for.

Anyone in Congress who supports SOPA/PIPA should be defeated.

All the big donors who fund the campaigns of people supporting SOPA/PIPA need to hear from the public.  The most important thing you can ever learn about politics is that elected officials really don’t listen to the public — but they will leap over furniture and push their elderly mothers out of the way to take the call of an irate big donor to their campaigns.

So, the way to get Congresscritters to listen is to start haranguing their large donors.  Finding them takes legwork and familiarity with FEC filings, but I guarantee you that if the public started angrily calling and writing the wealthy people who write the big checks to the people in office supporting SOPA/PIPA, this nonsense will disappear and never be attempted again.

Have you seen a list of the Congresscritters who conceived SOPA/PIPA and pushed it this far?  Every one of those people should lose their seats this fall.  THAT would teach a lesson to Congress in the future that if they attempt censorship of the Internet again they will find their re-election bids “censored” as well.

What Can You Do To Help Scott Walker?

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Conservativism, Hall of Heroes

H/T The Other McCain for the video above

It’s one of the best political ads I’ve ever seen.

If you’re someone feeling frustrated that the Cocktail Party GOP establishment is running the table and effectively pushing Willard “Mittens” Romneycare towards the 2012 Republican nomination, remember there are awesome people in office like Scott Walker or Allen West that need your attention and support.

What can YOU do to help Scott Walker defeat the Left in Wisconsin?

What can YOU do to stop the Left’s voter fraud efforts this year?

What can YOU do to expose the truth about Labor Unions?

Only you can answer the above. You might think this is silly, but to be able to answer that you need to spend a quiet day by yourself really thinking about it.  Wake up super early before the rest of your family if you have to, pour yourself some coffee and just sit in a quiet place of your house and think about who you want to be in 2012 and what impact you can make in this election.

I honest to goodness wake up every morning hoping there is someone out there who will read something on this site that will cause her or him to get up off the couch and take action in her or his community. The reason the Cocktail Party and the Left win so often is because too many good people think “It’s just me” or “I’m only one person” or whatever.

The fact is, you are a remarkable and amazing person who loves your country.  You have great talents that you just need to bring out from under the bushel basket. I know there is something you can do to encourage and support people like Scott Walker.

What do you think that something is?

Notice of Technical Issues That May Arise in the Next Few Days

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Hillbuzz

I just want to let you know that we’re going to be moving the site to a new and more secure server in the next few days — so if you experience any technical difficulties loading the site, that’s why.

I have no idea how long this will take or whether it will go smoothly or not, but rest assured if a problem arises there are people taking care of it.

I’ll tell you the full story after the move, but I’m happy to say it involves the transition to a new look with new abilities for the site in the days ahead.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Was A Republican — And He’d Be A Pro-Life Social Conservative If He Was Alive Today

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Identity Politics, The Left

Ed Morrissey at HotAir has a nice piece up today on Dr. Alveda King, the niece of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King. Please take the time to read it in full, because it’s important that more people out there appreciate the fact that Dr. King was a Republican — whose real-life living equivalent today is someone like Congressman Allen West, not shameless, race-baiting huckster Jesse Jackson (as the Left would have you believe).

If you’ve ever heard Dr. Alveda King speak you’d know that at the time of his death Dr. King was planning on firing Jackson because he personally disgusted him and no longer wanted him anywhere near the work he was doing; if he’d lived, and the firing had taken place, you would have never heard of Jesse Jackson…or his repugnant son Jesse Jackson Jr…or his horrible daughter-in-law, Sandi Jackson.  Not only did the world lose a great man when Dr. King was murdered, but the non-musical and terrible Jackson family was forced on American politics because Dr. King wasn’t alive to send Jesse into exile where he belongs.

I’ve benefited greatly from listening to some of Dr. Alveda King’s speeches, including those on abortion, and find her to be very much a torch-carrier for Dr. King’s legacy.  As a gay man, I honestly never devoted much thought to abortion because it’s never touched me personally. I’m gold star gay and have never dated a woman and have never remotely come close to impregnating anyone. I have two very good friends who had abortions, though — and both of them were the victims of rape who conceived during their attacks; one friend was also given HIV by her rapist and the pregnancy was life-threatening to her in itself. So there were both medical and psychological reasons for those abortions.

In December, my boyfriend Justin’s sister had a baby after an at-risk pregnancy that resulted from her diabetes; the little baby, Astor, that she had is still on heart and breathing machines and will be in a special children’s hospital for several more weeks. I’ve never met the little girl, but I am just torn up inside every day hoping she can get off the machines and come home to her very anxious parents.

I just can’t imagine someone choosing an abortion as a means of birth control when I’ve seen how special a tiny, precious life is such as Astor’s. I don’t think I would hesitate for second to volunteer to adopt the baby of a friend who knew she couldn’t care for the child — and I know I’m not alone in feeling that way, so there’s just no reason aside from rape or life-threatening medical conditions to murder the unborn.

When you grow up a Democrat, you are taught to keep quiet about this, however.  You’re taught to keep quiet about a lot of evil things the Democrat Party does, actually. The list is long but it includes turning a blind eye to voter fraud that various thugs like ACORN commit to benefit Democrats; it involves saying nothing about how Labor Unions destroy communities and drive businesses overseas; and it means allowing the harpies of the Pro-Choice bowl movement to get away with calling themselves that — instead of what they really are: Pro-Abortion.

The Democrat Party’s internal politics are messy.  Since the Party’s comprised of sundry identity voting blocs that are deliberately pitted against one another, the way the Left controls these different kinds of people is by keeping them revved up with either stoked hatred for one of the other groups (the way the Left keeps blacks hating gays or blacks hating Hispanics or blacks hating Jews) or by convincing one identity group that there’s some issue out there that they must irrationally defend against some imaginary “enemy”.  To keep women voters on the Democrats’ infernal plantation and prevent them from ever thinking logically about why, exactly, they must keep voting Democrat when Democrats’ policies do nothing of value for them the Party has used abortion as this wedge issue.  If you grow up Democrat you’re taught that it’s a woman’s right to murder a child that’s developing inside her, whenever she wants, and face no moral or societal consequences for doing so.

For most of my adult life I was very uncomfortable wading into any of this because I’m not a woman and will never know what it’s like to be pregnant. As noted, I also understand some of the horror women who’ve been raped go through so I can’t imagine a world where someone would be forced to carry her rapists’ child to term and spend nine months believing Rosemary-grade evil was growing inside her. But, the Left promotes abortion so aggressively that it starts to feel like Leftists believe it’s a fun and good thing for any occasion. For a time, the DNC actually sold tee shirts on its website that said “I Had An Abortion And Am Proud of It”. I’m ashamed to have ever been a member of a Party where someone thought that was an appropriate item to offer for sale on their official website. Abortion is never something to be proud of, no matter why someone did it.

Every presidential election year the Left glorifies abortion and revs female Democrats up into a blind frenzy that “unless you vote Democrat the evil Republicans are going to take abortions away from you!”. The way this is phrased, it’s like the Left sees abortions in the same category as Disneyland:  a fun and wonderful thing that conservatives want to take from women out of spite — instead of the worst possible thing anyone could ever be forced to do for any reason.

I’m really tired of this.

And I’m tired of the Left operating as if it’s every woman’s life dream to murder a child developing inside her, as if that’s fun.

And I’m tired of the agenda-driven media not calling the Left out on the hypocrisy related to abortion, since it’s black babies who are aborted the most and the Democrat Party embraces a unique form of racism when it so aggressively promotes its Pro-Abortion agenda.

The Reverand Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the bravest men who ever lived. It’s a damn shame his legacy has been hijacked by the Democrat Party and Jesse Jackson…and that Martin Luther King Day is a sort of “Democrat” holiday the way holidays honoring our military seem like “Republican” holidays.

Martin Luther King Day should be celebrated with gusto by the GOP as a “Republican” and an AMERICAN holiday because it’s a day to think about the life and courage of a remarkable man who had the strength to tell things like they are and to point out the terrible in those around him. If he were alive today, Dr. King would raise his hand and point straight at the Democrat Party and call it out for the wicked things it does on a daily basis. Dr. King would be against the voter fraud, he’d rail against the identity politics, he’d condemn the wedge issues that pit one group against another just so they all stay on the Democrats’ plantation.

Dr. King, much like Allen West, would chide black people for continuing to vote against their own economic and familial interests by pulling that lever for Democrats over and over again — when it’s the Democrat Party, through its Pro-Abortion and pro-entitlement programs policies, that have kept black people poor, broken, and dependent on the state.

It’s an immense national tragedy that Dr. King is not here with us today to speak truth to power and excoriate the Democrat Party for how terrible it has truly become. At least we have Dr. King’s niece Alveda, though.

If you’re not following her career and speeches with great interest, then I suggest you do so immediately.

No better day than today to start.

Prayer Changes Things

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Esther4HB // Ground Reports, Hillbuzz, Pacific West

Recently Kevin asked the HillBuzz family for prayers for Baby Astor, Justin’s niece, and her mother, Darcy. Astor was born early in an emergency c-section. She has had some life-threatening issues with her lungs and heart due to her early arrival. I was pleased, but not at all surprised, by the outpouring of love and prayer on Astor’s behalf. I also noticed in the comments section occasional requests for prayers, as well as stories of answered prayers to encourage others.

This got me thinking: what if we were to become more organized in our prayer for our nation, our global community, and one another personally? There is a scripture that says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” There seems to be a contingent of prayer warriors in this group who excel in this area. How might God intervene when he hears so many of us beseeching Him earnestly?

Starting this week we will be collecting prayer requests to share with readers. If you post a request in the comments section, the following week we can include it in the post, along with any updates you may wish to share. I truly believe this is one of the most effective action items in which those who choose to do so can participate. After all, we’re pleading our case to the Highest Source available.

Just a few considerations for posting:

* Try to state your requests in a positive manner. For example, rather than asking for intervention to “get so-and-so out of an elected office” perhaps we can ask for the best person to occupy that office.

* If you are requesting prayer on someone else’s behalf, a courtesy call to them might be appropriate. Sometimes we want the help of others, and sometimes we want our trials to remain private. Also, it might be a good idea to keep the identity of others confidential. Identifying an individual’s need without necessarily including their names (unless they ask for it be included) may be all we need.

* Don’t worry about any request being too general, or too trivial. It’s written that the very hairs of our heads are numbered. If God has that kind of detailed knowledge of and interest in us, we can bring anything to Him.

Please keep us updated of any progress when news is available. We love to hear how you and your loved ones are doing. It helps make our prayers more specific, too.

To start out this facet of HB’s action agenda, here are some areas for which we can be praying:

* Baby Astor’s continued positive progress and healing. Support and peace of mind for Darcy and her family during this trying time.
* That the American people wake up to what is happening in our country as it slides precariously toward socialism and (heaven forbid) despotism. That we as a nation once again embrace the values upon which this nation was founded.
* That the election process identifies a candidate who truly has a servant’s heart and has the good of the American people as his/her priority. That this person leads our countrymen back to our noblest selves so that we can address the needs of the nation and heal.

Please add to the list! Here we go . . .

VIDEO: Shit Mitt Romney Says

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // 2012 GOP Candidates, Mittens Romney

If you’re not aware, the latest fad in viral videos is the “Shit People Say” theme…which is covering every demographic out there. Above, you’ll find a few examples.

I’m sure your employers will love this, but you can literally spend several days at work clicking from one video to another that YouTube suggests in this genre and watching all sorts of takes on “Shit Gay People Say”, “Shit Straight People Say to Gay People”, “Shit Asian People Say”, “Shit Black People Say”, “Shit (Insert Celebrity Here) Says”, etc.

The videos all share the same format: short clips of someone saying a stereotypical thing that supposedly defines a type of person or group. It’s luck of the draw whether you’ll get a funny video or a weird and offensive one, but if you spend any time at all on Facebook no doubt you’ll encounter one of these soon (if you haven’t already). Hell, you might even star in one (or be inspiring the material for one without realizing it).

In the case of a “Shit Mitt Romney Says” video would stereotype the Cocktail Party GOP establishment elites that are pushing him towards the Republican 2012 nomination — and setting him up to lose to Barack Obama in the fall.

Just like in the clips above, a video could be cobbled together from various Romney media appearances that illustrate what a supremely weak general election candidate Romney will be. This would be a great thing to show anyone you know who’s been parroting that nonsense that “Romney’s most electable!”.

Right…and Pandora Boxx is a real woman from Rochester.

It would be particularly effective to have a “Shit Mitt Says” video where he’s saying something supportive of an issue in one clip…then showing him saying he’s against that very same thing in the next clip…and then showing him for that issue again in the end. Lather, rinse, repeat.  It’s the way he flip-flops through almost everything in politics from one position to another…which makes him unelectable in the fall when people put it together that the guy stands for absolutely nothing but his own self-promotion.

The Left will create a “Shit Romney Says” video for the general election if Romney becomes the nominee.  So why not beat them to the punch and do this now in the primaries?

One of the dumbest things I see repeated on conservative political sites is “Oh, you can’t do that! You’ll give the Democrats ideas!” or “Be quiet about that, you don’t want to give Obama material”. If you really believe that Democrats aren’t working on this stuff right now and putting it in reserve for August, then you are a fool. There is no nice way for me to say that. You are damn skippy, as we’d say back in Cleveland. Whether you like Romney or not, you need to understand that it’s better for everyone to get these things out now so that the Left doesn’t have an armory of YouTube videos ready to launch after Romney would secure the nomination.

Obama acolytes have spent four years counting on the Cocktail Party and agenda-driven media to anoint Romney as the “it’s his turn!” nominee and they are well-prepared for what they’re going to do to Republicans in a general election to secure Obama a second term.

If you want to stop their plan from being so effective, you need to raise your voice now while there’s still a chance of preventing Romney from becoming the nominee and Republicans falling right into the Democrats’ trap.

ACTION ITEM: Can you think of good quotes from Romney and find them on YouTube in videos so that we can make a “Shit Romney Says” video compilation like the YouTube clips you see above?

If so, can you make a note of the URLs in comments below…and also mark the exact time on the video that the quote appears.  I’ll ask my boyfriend Justin to put a “Shit Mitt Romney Says” video together using the clips…but it would make things a lot easier for him if you could mark off exactly where the great quotes are.

I really don’t like typing an expletive like s***, especially an expletive based in excrement, but unfortunately “Shit People Say” is the term that’s being used for these viral videos.

This is an example of recognizing pop culture’s doing something that will indeed bleed into politics…and trying to be ahead of that curve and create it before someone on the Left does instead.

I wish the Republican Party as a whole was on top of things like this…but since it’s not, we need to pick up that slack ourselves it seems.

Hypocrisy’s Name is WordPress: Check Out Jane Wells’ Screed Against SOPA’s Censorship While Recalling WordPress’ Censorship Of Bare Naked Islam FOUR DAYS EARLIER

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Resources - Islam, Unveiling Islam

[ Click above to embiggen ]

Inside WordPress’ no doubt plush headquarters, there’s apparently hot and cold running hypocrisy on tap.

Check out this screed from WordPress honcho Jane Wells where she (quite rightly) rails against SOPA/PIPA — the efforts underway by a collection of either stupid or nefarious (or both) members of Congress to destroy the Internet as we know it by giving Eric Holder’s Justice Department the power to censor and obliterate any website that he, the Attorney General, deems offensive or in violation of this caustic new legislation.

Wells — and WordPress as a company — aggressively rail against SOPA/PIPA and state the following:

  • In the U.S. our legal system maintains that the burden of proof is on the accuser, and that people are innocent until proven guilty. This tenet seems to be on the chopping block when it comes to the web if these bills pass, as companies could shut down sites based on accusation alone.
  • Laws are not like lines of PHP; they are not easily reverted if someone wakes up and realizes there is a better way to do things. We should not be so quick to codify something this far-reaching.
  • The people writing these laws are not the people writing the independent web, and they are not out to protect it. We have to stand up for it ourselves.

The bold emphasis on that first bullet point is mine because I want you to read that sentence again.  Hell, read it a few times then come back and join me below.
