VIDEO: Official Trailer for “The Iron Lady” starring Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher
I’ve been following this film the entire time it’s been in production and am delighted by this new official trailer; I sincerely hope this puts to rest the fears voiced by many that Leftist-leaning actress Meryl Streep would somehow make fun of or malign the Baroness Thatcher in the movie “The Iron Lady”.
Whether Streep would ever want to do that has always been eclipsed by the simple fact that Streep’s been in a race with the ghost of Katherine Hepburn for Academy Award glory. Kate claimed a quartet of little, nude gold men in her lifetime while Streep’s been languishing with twins forever now.
Then there’s her long-simmering rivalry with Glenn Close, forged back in the 80s when the two vied for the title of “America’s consummate and ubiquitous blond actress”.
Streep wants the Oscar for this role.
She narrowly lost her third trophy for playing Julia Child a few years ago; she would not deliberately do anything to prevent her winning for another biographical role that is clearly designed as Oscar-bait.
Her performance in this movie will be respectful and highly accurate. The film itself is gunning for Oscar gold in all categories and will thus avoid ever being seen as a dated, politically-motivated hit piece.
There is nothing to be afraid of in this film.
It will be this year’s “The King’s Speech” and will be loved by everyone who has any connection to the people depicted in it.
AND…on top of all that…it has the most kickass movie poster I have seen in a few years.
Seriously…I am already sizing up walls here at Buzzquarters where this will someday soon hang as soon as it can be delivered.
Never compromise, indeed.
Is Barack Obama Gay? Part III: What’s It Like Inside A Chicago Gay Bathhouse Like the One Obama Used to Frequent As A State Senator?
WARNING: This Video Might Not Be Appropriate to Watch At Work The video above is a rare look inside a real Chicago gay bathhouse (located on Halsted and named Steamworks) that contains the bare backsides of several jockstrap-clad performers (employees of Sidetrack the Video Bar named Jason Scott Gall, Eddie Budz, Kyle Krytemeyer, and Jimmy Kays moonlighting as Jane Russell and friends from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ “Ain’t There Anyone Here For Love?” dance number). There’s no frontal nudity, but several clear shots (from behind, or of behinds, as the caboose may be) of Jason, Eddie, and Kyle scampering through the bathhouse in just jocks or precariously-wrapped towels — as well as a truly gruesome makeup job on cross-dressing Jimmy Kays (whose alter-ego in Boystown is “Tiffany Chanel” and who behaves in the video much the way I’d imagine Barack Obama behaved himself when frequenting the Andersonville bathhouse Man’s Country back in the 1990s). There’s nothing sexual in the video, but I don’t think it would be appropriate to play if you are reading this at work (unless you happen to work at either Steamworks or Sidetrack in which case, seriously, put some clothes on for a change because it’s December outside).
Ever since investigative journalist Wayne Madsen wrote about Barack Obama frequenting gay Chicago bathhouse Man’s Country in the Andersonville neighborhood back when he was an Illinois state senator in the 1990s and early 2000s, I’ve seen comments from straight readers wondering what it’s really like inside a bathhouse — but for obvious reasons, bathhouses (here in Chicago at least) frown on allowing any sort of photography or video posting due to the expectations of anonymity possessed by all the men (such as the current President of the United States, Barack Obama) who are members of these “private clubs” (which are really just places to club other guys’ privates).
The above video (which I’ll say again is probably NSFW (not safe for work) due to glimpses of bare, jock-strapped backsides) is the only one I’ve ever seen that gives an outsider a decent idea of what it’s really like in a bathhouse; it was produced by Sidetrack’s staff in their in-house editing room and has been played in the bar several times already on their giant video screens (compelling delight, or abject horror, as the case (or viewer) may be with many things projected much larger than their actual size).
In November of 2011, the agenda-driven media decided to wage all-out-war on several of the contenders for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination: the website Politico.com cited anonymous sources in its zealotry to use insinuations about Herman Cain’s past sexcapades to derail his political campaign; “journalists” knowingly repeated long-refuted lies about Newt Gingrich’s marital troubles (please note, once and for all, that it’s NOT true that Gingrich divorced his wife while she was dying of cancer and that her ghost still hates him, as his former wife is still very much alive and thinks enough of him to still take part as a non-ghost in holiday celebrations with him and the rest of the family, who are also not ghosts); and the agenda-driven media has enthusiastically encouraged the rumor that Michele Bachmann’s husband is gay (something the Gaystapo — that faction of the Left comprised of gay writers, comedians, and talking heads — has dedicated itself to repeating to shoot Bachmann down in the polls).
Hence, it’s FINALLY not only professional but, I’d say, required for everyone to talk openly and frequently about Barack Obama being gay, Barack Obama having ongoing sexcapades with men even after grooming his beard Michelle Antoinette for the down-low charade they’ve presented for twenty odd years, and Barack Obama engaging in all manner of shenanigans in a Chicago gay bathhouse similar (though not as chrome-y and well-lit) as the one featured in the video above.
Isn’t the “Tolerant Left” always insisting that everyone in this country needs to think, act, behave, and do exactly as they do, because they’re always right while conservatives are always wrong?
Well, if it’s acceptable to use anonymous sources to write about sexcapades Herman Cain allegedly engaged in decades ago…
and if it’s journalistic practice to waste ink speculating about what really went on in Newt Gingrich’s marriage…
and if it’s so much fun to talk about Michele Bachmann’s husband supposedly being gay…
then WHY NOT just answer every question anyone on Earth has ever had about what Barack Obama more likely than not (according to the standards set by journalists above) got up to during frequent visits to the Chicago gay bathhouse Man’s Country?
Read below the fold for a thorough tour of an actual Chicago gay bathhouse with screengrabs (no nudity, I promise) of what the inside really looks like…so you can pretend to be a member of the agenda-driven media for a while and accept as hard, indefatigable truth everything anonymous sources have ever said about what the current President of the United States did with nude or towel and/or jockstrap-clad men before he ran for the United States Senate and the Presidency.

[NOTE: the above is a clip from the old game show "What's My Line?" where a panel of New York-based celebrities had to guess the identity of a famous person by asking simple questions. Could you ever guess someone using these simple questions? It's amazing how much everything's changed since those early days of TV]
What’s going on in your part of the country today?
What are people talking about where you live?
Home in Time For Christmas.
Ahhh, this made me smile. After 7 months at sea, these British sailors are finally coming home. I love our US military, but don’t forget, we’re fighting alongside the Brits for many of our overseas operations. And some of these guys are hotties too. hee hee.
This video puts me in the Christmas spirit. Enjoy!
Latest Video Message from “Anonymous” Is Flooding Facebook With Claim Senate Has Repealed Bill of Rights
First off, whenever one of these video messages pop up from “Anonymous” and the whole Occupy Wall Street crowd, I’m reminded of the Joker pirating the airwaves of Gotham City in the 1989 Batman movie with Jack Nicholson at the mic (honestly, all that’s missing is some poison-gas-filled parade balloons, a Batwing hovering overhead, and Kim Bassinger lugging around a camera).
See what I mean?
“Anonymous” claims that S. 1867 (the National Defense Authorization Act) repeals the Bill of Rights and declares the entire United States to be a battleground under military control.
I mention this because this video is viral on Facebook, where I’ve seen it posted and reposted by hundreds of the accounts I monitor as a focus group of what the Left’s talking about today.
I never know how much of these videos anyone watches, or if any of the Facebookers reposting it have any idea what “Anonymous” is talking about, but I’ve come to recognize the importance of paying attention to what people decide to send out via Facebook on their profiles.
If you aren’t already quietly watching Facebook for clues into what the Left’s up to, you should be. There’s never been a source of information like this before, with many Leftists severely tipping their hands and very candidly revealing exactly how unstable and dangerous they are with casual posts they make on their iPhones — or by simply reposting or responding to posts like those containing the “Anonymous” videos.
My gut feeling here is that whoever is making these “Anonymous” videos is part of a faction in the Left that’s deliberately laying the groundwork for violence in next year’s presidential election.
Hopeychange won’t work as a campaign theme again; the Left has thus decided to substitute chaos and violence to push Barack Obama’s re-election.
It’s going to get ugly, folks.
And it’s already started.
Question of the Day: Why do primaries stretch through June if the meme is to complain about nominating process not being over soon enough?
I wonder if you’ve ever picked up on this meme: repetitious complaining from the supporters of Willard “Mittens” Romneycare that the Republican nomination process can’t be over soon enough (though, to be honest, these same people — including hacks like Jen Rubin in the agenda-driven media — would prefer no primaries at all, with Romneycare anointed the nominee by the Cocktail Party establishment TODAY if they could have their fondest wish).
We hear this garbage every four years when one group with the media’s ear pushes hard for an establishment-approved nominee; the exact same thing happened in 2008, when the agenda-driven media and the permanent political class were hell-bent on nominating Barack Obama (and kept screaming that Hillary Clinton needed to surrender because “the primaries are going on too long!”).
Have you ever asked yourself this simple question: why the Hell are primaries scheduled all the way through June if the end result is for so many establishment types to cry about the process “going on for too long”?
Doesn’t this seem incredibly foolish to you?
Start paying attention to articles you read going forward that harp about how bad it will be for Republicans to have a “prolonged” primary, where “prolonged” is incorrectly used in every sense of the word because of the simple fact that the permanent political class CREATED a primary calendar that stretches to June, with the nominating convention in August.
There are only two logical options on how to handle all of this:
1. Stop complaining about the process taking as long as the process was designed to take
– OR –
2. Scrap the current process and have a few regional primaries from January through April of the election year, with the nominating conventions in May, so the whole process wraps up more quickly and people in ALL states feel their votes are actually worth something in the nominating process
As it stands now, only in rare occasions do the unfortunate folks voting in May or June ever feel like their votes matter in determining the ultimate nominee. Starting in February, the agenda-driven media starts screaming for one candidate or another to surrender so “the nominee can be determined”, when the process created to determine the nominee deliberately strings things along until June. Isn’t it time all those states with late-in-the-process primaries stop disenfranchising their voters and allow EVERYONE, in every state, a chance to impact the selection of the parties’ nominees?
In my mid-30s, I’m at the age where I’m starting to get really sick of hearing the same garbage from the usual suspects in the lazy, hack media when it comes to the “prolonged” anything.
The question is: what can any of us do to change this, and prevent the same fools from making the same complaints every four years (particularly when the complaints are designed to help an establishment-favored candidate like Barack Obama or Willard “Mittens” Romneycare).
QUESTION: Just how many black people need to be included in anything for the Left to not make a racial issue of it?
This morning, I ran across this article by Clark Collis on Entertainment Weekly’s site, purportedly about the latest inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
Instead of actually focusing on the inductions (which this year includes the Beastie Boys, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Small Faces/The Faces, the late singer-songwriter Laura Nyro, and Donovan), Collis racialized the article, insinuating the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame selection committee is racist because there were no black people inducted this year (and misogynist too, apparently, since there was only one woman inducted (and she’s dead)).
Just how many black people have to — by the Leftist standards employed by hacks like Collis at EW.com — be included in anything to spare us from another lazy “America is so RAAACIST!” rambling like this?
Two? Three? Can we get a definitive and set number?
In the case of something like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions, where there were only 5 inductees total, how many of the induction slots needed to be reserved exclusively for black people in the worldview employed by Collis?
Better question: would the black people nominated have to actually be talented and deserving of the nomination, or would the fact that their skin passed a Sherwin Williams “dark enough” visual scan appease Collis?
Blacks make up 13% of the US population, but are already disproportionately represented in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame — and deservedly so, considering the roots of Rock run through R&B, Soul, and other heavily-black genres.
I’m originally from Cleveland — where the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame stands — and can assure you artists like Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, The Jackson Five, James Brown, and many others are given immense respect for their contributions to Rock and Roll…though they are presented and honored as artists, not as “black people” who’ve been included just because their skin colors were needed to meet some sort of arbitrary quota assigned by Clark Collis and the editors of Entertainment Weakly (spelling intended).
I bring all of this up because it’s apparent to me that hacks like Collis have no real idea what they’re writing most of the time when it comes to race. Collis appears to be in his 20s, and no doubt went to Leftist schools where agenda-driven professors taught him that black people must be viewed by those in the media as perpetual victims and that racial quotas must exist in everything.
If you read EW.com for any length of time, you’ll see that Collis is not the only hack there who feels this way.
If there are five slots open for something and a black person didn’t get one of those slots that year, then too bad.
I’m sure there are some years where black people get two or three of the slots; would Clark Collis complain that white people were not well enough represented in those years? Of course not, because Collis has been programmed never to see racism when scenarios exist where blacks are given the majority share of something disproportionate to their percentage in the population.
Take the BET Awards for instance, or Miss Black America, or the Congressional Black Caucus. All of these have in-your-face racial prejudice built glaringly into them. It’s BLACK Entertainment Television (no whites allowed!), the Miss BLACK America pageant (sorry blondie, no room for you!), and the Congressional BLACK Caucus (where YOUR tax dollars fund a racist private club smack in the heart of the nation’s Capitol).
I can’t recall Clark Collis or anyone at EW.com ever writing about any of this.
What do you think about that?

Seventy years ago today, the Empire of Japan hurled 353 aircraft from six carriers at the U.S. forces stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The surprise attack, launched in two waves beginning at 6:00 a.m., killed 2,403 and wounded 1,178. The majority of those killed were sailors stationed on the 23 U.S. Navy ships tied up in the harbor that Sunday morning. Nearly 190 U.S. aircraft were also destroyed in the attack.
On December 8, 1941, the United States House of Representatives voted to declare war on the Empire of Japan. It was the last formal, Constitutional declaration of war in American history to this day.
