Free Republic Reports Larry Sinclair Is Dead — Here Is What I Know

Posted at November 14, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Alinsky Methods, The Left

The website Free Republic is running a story that author Larry Sinclair is dead, supposedly killed in a hit and run car accident on Sunday night 11/13/2011.

I spoke with Larry on the phone for roughly three hours on Sunday, from about 3pm – 6pm CST.  We did pre-interview conversations getting ready for Larry’s appearance on The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show this coming Tuesday.

Larry had a date to go out for the evening on Sunday and see the movie “Paranormal Activity” with some friends so we ended our conversation at 6pm CST and made plans to talk again during the day on Monday.  The movie Larry was going to was screening at 630pm CST and I know he had to rush to get to wherever he needed to be on time. The last thing he said to me before he hung up was that he had to run, but that we’d talk again the next afternoon.

I am 100% certain he said he was going to a 630pm CST showing of “Paranormal Activity”, but I don’t know what city he was watching that in.  The movie is about two hours long, including those previews and commercials.  That means Larry Sinclair would have been alive and well until 830pm CST.  It appears the Free Republic article was posted at 1030pm CST or so.  Could something horrific have happened to him in the two hour gap between the movie ending and Free Republic’s story?

If so, how on Earth did Free Republic find out before anyone else?  That seems odd to me.

My telephone call with Larry earlier yesterday (before he left for the movie) was one of the most fascinating and revelatory conversations I have had with anyone, ever, and Larry told me things that made my blood run cold.  I firmly believe the Democrat Party has used illegal and nefarious means to terrorize this man because he challenges the narrative the Left has run about who Barack Obama really is.

Tonight, hundreds of people emailed us the Free Republic story on Larry Sinclair’s alleged car accident; I’ve never experienced a flood of mail like that before.  It woke me up and made me think something had demonically possessed the computer, it was making so much noise with all the pings! of new email.  I’ve never seen anything like it.

After reading the shocking Free Republic story, I have been trying to reach Larry Sinclair by telephone for several hours tonight, but have been unable to do so.  However, it IS the middle of the night as of my writing this and there’s a more than good chance the Free Republic article is wrong and everything’s fine…and he’s just asleep right now.  It’s 4am after all, and I bet anything that Larry Sinclair is just sleeping and has no idea this story was written about him dying in a car accident.

I can’t even imagine what he’s going to think when he wakes up and reads this; it’s beyond creepy and I have no idea where Free Republic got the original report.  I’m not 100% clear on how things are posted at Free Republic or if there’s any sort of vetting of articles before they are published…so it’s scary to think an unsourced rumor like this could be set loose without adult supervision of some kind.

I have to say that I’m rattled, though.

I can thank Free Republic for a dozen new gray hairs as I sit here thinking about the horror I’d feel knowing I really did speak to Larry Sinclair just a few short hours before he was in some kind of suspicious accident.  Things like this happen only in horror movies, like the one Larry set out to see last night.

My pulse is racing and my hands are shaking as I type this.

It’s an incredibly creepy experience…which followed several days of bizarre things that have happened ever since we did that November 7th radio broadcast on Barack Obama being gay.

The cyber attacks on HillBuzz.org this weekend and the weird attack on The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Radio show archives the other night make me believe someone out there in Obamaland doesn’t want anyone talking about Larry Sinclair.

The big question is WHY NOT? If he really is just an unreliable kook, as Democrats claim, then why go to such insane lengths to silence him and anyone who writes about him?

Since starting this site, I have been subjected to daily grief by the Left and the various Alinsky goon squads so I know exactly how ruthless and brutal these people can be; I believe these thugs will do absolutely anything to keep Barack Obama in power. Yes, they indeed are capable of murder. If anything did happen to Larry Sinclair Sunday night, then there’s no doubt in my mind that the Obama administration itself would be involved.

If they did do something to Larry himself, I guarantee I will make sure everything he told me yesterday makes it on the air and the truth about Barack Obama and those surrounding him get out.

These people have systematically ruined my life for three years now for writing this site and there’s not much else they can possibly do to me, so I’m not afraid to talk about all of this. Someone has to.  I will not be scared off this story by these people, no matter how much they try to shut us down or what they do to silence everyone involved.

They can be as creepy as they want to be, but in the end they will not win and both Barack Obama and the Left will be defeated.

Stay tuned for more developments.

I’m shocked by the Free Republic article but I can’t possibly believe it’s true.  The very second that I hear from Larry Sinclair and know that he is okay I will come back on here and let you know.  If Free Republic is right and something happened to Larry, then you better believe I will find a way to tell you everything he said to me yesterday during our phone call.

If something happens to me, I’ve already given everything I know to a few friends who will get the information out if I have a mysterious “accident” of my own too.

Obama’s goons can’t kill all of us — and I think we’re past the point of no return in terms of all of Obama’s many secrets getting out.

*************************************************

NOTE: Here’s the broadcast we did on The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show that started all this commotion last week. After this show aired, the cyber attacks started that took down this site for two days…that attacked our radio archives…and that now resulted in this Free Republic story about Larry Sinclair right before his scheduled appearance on our show this coming Tuesday November 15th.

This can’t be a coincidence.

It has to be a coordinated intimidation effort.

You have to ask more loudly than ever WHAT IS THIS WHITE HOUSE TRYING SO DESPERATELY TO HIDE?

UPDATE: 700am CST 11/14/11

I just got off the phone with Larry Sinclair and he is very much alive.

I don’t know why Free Republic ran that story, but Larry Sinclair is alive and well.

Shortly after Free Republic put up the apocryphal account that he was killed in a car accident, people started calling Larry to check on him (myself included).  Larry was sound asleep with his phone in the other room.  Finally, the nonstop telephone calls woke him up and he realized what was happening.

Larry told me that this happened to him before, where someone with a sick sense of humor started a rumor a few years ago that he had killed himself in a hotel room in Duluth, Minnesota.  Clearly, that was not the case either.

I am 100% positive that was Larry Sinclair on the phone just now and he is alive and well.

I have no idea what Free Republic’s intentions were this morning, but I think it’s sick they ran this hoax and scared the living daylights out of so many people today.

Shame on them.

***************************************************************

UPDATE:  710am CST 11/14/11

As of 710am CST, Free Republic has deleted the article it ran claiming that Larry Sinclair was killed in a hit and run car accident.

They’ve flushed it all down the memory hole as if it never happened.  The links to the original story no longer work and are reading that “that thread has been pulled”.

So far, no explanation has been given for why Free Republic did any of this.

I honestly don’t know how that site works, so if someone who is a regular reader there can explain it in comments below I would really appreciate it.

It’s my understanding that anything that’s submitted for posting there is reviewed by Editors/Moderators, so I just don’t know why anyone would approve this morbid lie about Larry Sinclair.

Can someone explain how this happened at Free Republic and how they can prevent something like this from happening again?

*****************************************************************

UPDATE:  900am CST 11/14/11

Are you good at sleuthing out where things like this “Larry Sinclair is dead” story originate?

It looks like there’s a new thread going over at Free Republic now where people are trying to figure out who started the ball rolling on this.

Here’s comment #15 on that thread:

Does anyone who is really good with computers know how to sleuth this out further?

It’s interesting to see if this hit on Larry Sinclair originated in the Left, and if so who ordered it.

UPDATE 530pm CST 11/14/11

I just spoke to Larry Sinclair on the phone again today.  He’s still rattled by all of this.  Just imagine waking up to most of your friends and family calling you frantically to determine whether you were alive or dead.

Larry is speaking with law enforcement to press criminal charges against the person who posted the story about him being killed in a car accident at Free Republic and at the People in the News site.

Apparently, he didn’t have to even go through the process of getting a court order to reveal the identity of this person, because the originator of this hit on Larry revealed himself on some other forum.  So Larry Sinclair is able to use that to file his criminal complaint.

It looks like Free Republic itself could be held responsible as well, but I’m not a lawyer so I’m not sure how a case like this would unfold.  I’m pretty sure Free Republic will be compelled to identify the person who posted that story up on their site.

If the person posted that attack on Larry Sinclair while at work, I think the employer can be held responsible too because the company’s computer and Internet service were used to make that attack on Larry.

Just a word of caution for those who enjoy engaging in this sort of activity “anonymously” — you aren’t ever as anonymous as you think…and while it might be a chore and an effort to get the court orders necessary to reveal who you are, persistent individuals like Larry Sinclair can find out who you are and then enlist law enforcement and the courts to compel appropriate restitution from you.

I am sure Larry Sinclair will talk about all of this when he appears on The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show tomorrow night at 10pm EST and 9pm CST.

Update on Denial of Service Attack

Posted at November 13, 2011 by Kathleen Gee // Hillbuzz

An apparent denial of service attack has kept the technicians at our hosting company very busy this weekend, and they’re still doing what they can to keep HillBuzz up and running.

We’ll be implementing some enhanced security processes in the next day or two that should improve load times and accessibility, so please hang in there with us.

More site improvements are coming. Thanks for your patience.

Republican South Carolina Debate: 5 Things You Need to Know from November 12th GOP Debate

Posted at November 13, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // 2012 Elections, 2012 GOP Candidates

Last night, the Republican presidential candidates convened in South Carolina for a debate hosted by CBS.  Kevin DuJan breaks down the 5 Things You Need to Know about the debate in case you missed it.  Because of terrible coverage and bad broadcasting decisions by CBS, most of the country only saw the first hour of the debate and could not view the shoddy livestream CBS provided for the last half hour.

You can listen to a recap of the debate on The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show HERE.

SNL Slams Rick Perry: Why It Matters How An Unfunny Comedy Show Depicts Republicans

Posted at November 13, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // 2012 Elections, 2012 GOP Candidates

Saturday Night Live aired a new episode last night, hosted by actress Emma Stone (d/b/a “the girl who’s enjoying the career Lindsay Lohan would have had if she hadn’t ruined her life with drugs”).

The “cold opening” skit depicted the Republican presidential debates. You can watch it here on Hulu.

To great folly, many conservatives take the attitude of “I haven’t watched that show in years!” or “What do I care what Hollywood types think or say?”.  Well, you should care, and be forever aware of, what’s happening on shows like SNL because the entertainment industry provides political talking points to 80% of those on the Left.  These clips from a stale vaudeville show on NBC will trickle down to low-information Democrat voters and Independents, shaping the way they see conservative politicians –whether you like it or not.  Here in Boystown, bars like Sidetrack the Video Bar will play anti-Republican (and often anti-Christian) clips from SNL, in particular, to rev up hatred against conservatives in the Chicago gay community — just as bars and other social venues coast to coast will re-air these jabs at Republicans in a concerted effort to influence large numbers of people.

I feel I always need to remind people of this, because the Cocktail Party GOP establishment has never seemed to appreciate any of this. Pop culture is important because in the year 2011 more people pay attention it it than legitimate news sources.

Last night, SNL had two political goals to achieve:

(1) Depicting Herman Cain as a sex-obsessed womanizer…which is the way the Left chooses to degrade black conservative men and turn them into scary villains that voters must run away from.  If you look for ways the Alinsky Rule Book is used by the Left, you will see that painting black men as sex perverts is something Democrats have been doing for decades…in an effort to keep blacks on the Democrat reservation and to prevent them from defecting to the Republican Party.

(2) Hammering Rick Perry as a stumbling, bumbling moron.

More than two and a half years after he’s left office, bars like Sidetrack here in Chicago still play clips of George W. Bush mocking his intelligence and lampooning him as a stumbler and bumbler. Many of these clips originated on SNL.  Leftists are terribly unoriginal and, much like small children with particular obsessions, they find comfort in seeing the same things play over and over again repeatedly because these visuals keep validating and reinforcing their worldview.

The “53 seconds disaster” that Rick Perry created for himself at the CNBC Michigan debate earlier this week is more damaging to Republicans than most conservatives yet realize, because as long as Perry is in the primary race Leftists will hammer ALL GOP candidates with Perry’s stumbling and bumbling.

With Perry on a debate stage, part of every political skit will include him trying to remember one of the Departments he would eliminate from the government…or otherwise trying to count to three on a list of things, but forgetting that third thing.

The goal for shows like SNL is to depict the entire Republican field as being unfit for the presidency…with the exception of Willard Mittens Romneycare, whom the Left is pushing for the Republican nomination in 2012.

Watch the SNL skit on Hulu.  Every other candidate is mocked, save for Mittens.  Why is that?

SNL depicts Romneycare as the “inevitable” nominee, and the sole non-eccentric on the stage.  This is deliberate, because the Left wants Romneycare to run against Barack Obama so that Obamacare is off the table in the general election.  Too many Democrat Senators and Congressmen would lose if the 2012 elections were a nationwide referendum on Obamacare.  Hence, the Left’s zeal to push Mittens as the nominee.  Shows like SNL will not attack Mittens in the primaries…and are saving their Alinsky fire for him in the general election matchup they covet.

Like it or not, Rick Perry should withdraw from the presidential race immediately so that the anti-Romneycare forces in conservative ranks can coalesce behind someone who will defeat Mittens and win the nomination.  Perry destroyed himself this week with his “53 seconds” of televised incompetence.  I’ve read how many Perry apologists claim it was only a “forgetful moment” or the result of “being stressed at a debate”, but these Perry supporters fail to see just how much damage Perry did to himself and the entire GOP field in those 53 abysmal seconds.

There’s a reason that veteran political writers are now ranking Perry’s performance in Michigan as one of the all-time worst debate mistakes…and it’s because it so readily lends itself for campaign-killing ridicule.

Rick Perry had a decent showing at last night’s South Carolina debate, but he was no longer treated by the moderators or the other candidates as someone with a serious shot at the presidency.  Perry is now in Michele Bachmann territory, where he’s disrespected and marginalized at these events because of unforced errors he (like she) has made that are easy pickings for the Left’s comedy shows.

My boyfriend Justin has this thing he does, where he gets very upset when something is not how it “ought to be”.  “That’s not fair!,” he’ll say, before getting angry that people are reacting to something exactly opposite of how he wants them to.  I see a lot of that from conservative writers, who don’t understand the power of pop culture or the sway it holds over many low-information voters.

I have yet to see anyone successfully undo a caricature that SNL crafts about them.  Even Governor Sarah Palin is still detrimentally affected by Tina Fey’s portrayal of her in SNL skits…as much as I would love for things to be as they “ought to be” and not have anyone remember those.

Barack Obama has been incompetent in the Oval Office, so the GOP needs a presidential challenger that cannot be depicted as incompetent by the pop culture goon squads of the Left.  That eliminates Rick Perry instantly at this point.

The Left has chosen to depict Herman Cain as a sex fiend, but not as incompetent, so that keeps him in the race.

Newt Gingrich can never be depicted as incompetent by anyone, since he’s such an intelligent speaker (with a small and a big S, actually).  SNL chooses to portray him as a fat know-it-all with shock white hair, but I don’t think that precludes him from being a viable remedy to Obama in the general election (and considering the obesity rates nationwide, there are more fat people who would relate to him than skinny ones siding with our chain-smoking and sickly looking Commander in Chief).

Clearly, the Leftist agents at SNL are setting Willard Mittens Romneycare up as the “respectable and competent” Republican nominee…because they want Romneycare to win the nomination and are deliberately doing this.

They’re also, if you note in the clip above, keeping Jon Huntsman on reserve for some purpose as well (which, I think, is to set Huntsman up for an independent run next year if the Left needs him to siphon off Republican votes to secure Obama’s win).

Watching Saturday Night Live is an unfunny and often times excrutiating chore. I choose to skim each new episode in clips via Hulu so I don’t have to sit through the whole thing live on a Saturday night when I can be doing almost anything else in the world that I would enjoy more.

But I still make sure I keep my eye on what the “comedians” on the Left are putting out there, because like it or not this indeed has a big impact on elections.  Justin and many others out there might insist with all their might that this is not “how it ought to be”, but it’s our reality, and pretending it’s not is just plain foolish.

I don’t think Rick Perry can ever recover from his “53 seconds” disaster, but if you disagree with me on that I would love to hear your plan for how he does that…and how he would prevent independents in particular from forming an opinion of him as a stumbling and bumbling doofus because of it.

HillBuzz Open Thread: Sunday November 13th, 2011

Posted at November 13, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Hillbuzz

We’re still trying to recover from the Denial of Service attacks launched against us yesterday.

We apologize if you are having trouble loading the site, or if you are being redirected to a blank screen or get the 504 Gateway Timeout Error message.

We are doing everything we can to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.

This all appears to have happened because someone out there is upset with THIS episode of The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show from November 7th, where we asked “Is Barack Obama Gay?”.

After the show, these attacks started. It does not seem like just a coincidence.

Why try to shut us down now, when nothing like this has ever happened before in the three and a half years we’ve existed?

Iran’s Imaginary Nuke: Why It Doesn’t Matter

Posted at November 12, 2011 by Kathleen Gee // 2012 Elections, 2012 GOP Candidates, Foreign Policy, Ron Paul
GOP Frontrunner Ron Paul

H/T LambdaChi.org

As a Ron Paul supporter, the questions I’m asked most, when it comes to his foreign policy positions, are about Iran and its quest for a nuclear bomb, and GOP Frontrunner Ron Paul’s goal of zeroing out all foreign aid.

These issues are interrelated–because the billions of dollars in aid we provide to Israel come with strings attached. The Obama Regime has treated Israel with nothing but contempt, interfered with Israel’s self-defense, and meddled in its internal affairs in ways that make Israel less secure…because Israel is on the American dole.

Even in the face of meddling from the United States, Israel has proven time and again that it will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

Iran will never get a nuke as long as the Mullahs are in charge. Israel won’t let them. I have no doubt whatsoever that Israel knows exactly who’s working on the nuke, where, and how far along it is (if it exists at all).

I also have no doubt that Israel’s Mossad and assassination squads will continue to dispose of Iranian nuclear scientists like this one in 2007, this one in 2010, or this one in 2011.

There was also the Stuxnet virus, which was apparently developed specifically to target Iran’s nuclear program.

And if all else fails, Israel is prepared to launch strikes against any Iranian nuclear facility within minutes, according to The Sunday Times.

“”Officials believe that Israel could be required to hit more than a dozen targets, including moving convoys. The sites include Natanz, where thousands of centrifuges produce enriched uranium; Esfahan, where 250 tonnes of gas is stored in tunnels; and Arak, where a heavy water reactor produces plutonium.

The distance from Israel to at least one of the sites is more than 870 miles, a distance that the Israeli force practised covering in a training exercise last year that involved F15 and F16 jets, helicopters and refuelling tankers.

The possible Israeli strike on Iran has drawn comparisons to its attack on the Osirak nuclear facility near Baghdad in 1981. That strike, which destroyed the facility in under 100 seconds, was completed without Israeli losses and checked Iraqi ambitions for a nuclear weapons programme.

“We would not make the threat [against Iran] without the force to back it. There has been a recent move, a number of on-the-ground preparations, that indicate Israel’s willingness to act,” said another official from Israel’s intelligence community.”

So, I have to ask myself, given all this data, do I care that Ron Paul doesn’t want to drop the 101st Airborne into Iran to keep them from getting a nuke? No, not really. Israel has the situation well in hand.

Just ask yourself, if you worry about foreign policy–could Ron Paul’s foreign policy be any worse than Barack Hussein Obama’s?

Republican South Carolina Debate: Live Blog Transcript CBS Debate 11/12/11

What: Republican presidential debate in South Carolina

When: 8pm EST and 7pm CST 11/12/11

Where: Airing on CBS and streamed on CBS.com

Live Blog Transcript as debate airs

POST DEBATE COVERAGE on The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show at 930pm EST and 830pm CST

I will be writing a live blog transcript of this Republican presidential debate as it streams tonight on CBS.com.  The last debate — moderated by CNBC — was an absolute disaster because the network did not provide a live stream on the Internet.  I have not owned a television in many years and can only watch these debates online, so without a reliable stream from CNBC last time I really had to scramble to provide coverage.

I tried to plan ahead for tonight and asked a friend to find some alternative streams to watch the CBS debate in case anything happens to the CBS.com official stream. Here’s what she found for me:

1. This one is the main to CBS GOP debate streaming:
http://www.cbsnews.com/2718-250_162-1335.html

2. This one is at Shallownation site. Just scroll down to see the video. It’s below the flag image and below some silly advertising:

3. This one is at Ustream:
http://www.ustream.tv/cbsnews

If you know of any other ones — or better ones — please add them to the comment thread below.

What are you looking for in this debate? How do you think the candidates will perform?  Are you going to be watching the moderators to see how much they push Willard Mittens Romneycare’s candidacy tonight?  Chime in below with your debate expectations and comment on whom you are rooting for and why.

***************************************************************************

LIVE BLOG TRANSCRIPT begins at 800pm EST and 7pm CST:

And here we go….

Starts off with a little quote from each candidate….where CBS gives Willard Mittens Romneycare the most quotes…

They are calling it the “Commander in Chief” debate, with the focus on foreign policy.

I can’t even tell you how nice it is to have a debate on a network that will actually provide a livestream that comes through clear and professionally…it’s kind of Heaven after dealing with the CNBC debate issues.

Scott Pelly and Major Dad are the two debate hosts.

Pelly: Presidents deal with crises in their first year — Bay of Pigs, 9/11, etc. — what makes you able to be ready from Day One?

Major Dad:  Here are the candidates:  when Ron Paul’s name is said, huge yells.

CAIN:  Asked about Iran weapon.  First thing I would do is assist the opposition movement trying to overthrow the regime. Iranians are not our enemies the REGIME is.  We need to get energy independence because Iran uses oil prices as a weapon.  Oil is how they afford a nuclear campaign.  We need sanctions.  I know they have a program and are getting close to that weapon.  Economic means is how they are getting the weapon.  I would not use military means at this time.  We need to deploy our Aegis fleet in that area if they have ballistic missiles.

ROMNEYCARE:  This is President Obama’s greatest failing.  He did not do what is necessary to deal with Iran.  He should have encouraged the dissidents.  He gave away our missile defense systems for nothing in time.  (Romneycare throws a tantrum here…complaining about the time that he had…he starts shouting at Scott Pelly).  Finally the president should have been credible about military action.  If we re-elect Barack Obama then Iran will have a nuclear weapon.

It is worth putting in place crippling sanctions and working for regime change, then if nothing else works then use military action. It is unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear weapon. The current president is not doing anything to stop that.  This is folly and I am Mitt Romney and I am throwing a tantrum over running out of time to speak.

GINGRICH:  Both of these answers are superior to the current administration.  There are number of ways to be smart and a number to be dumb about Iran, and the Obama administration chose all the dumb ones.  There are many covert ways to take down Iran using spies and tricks.  We should support the Israelis in all they do.  We need to break the regime and bring it down economically.  And if that does not work, use every means necessary to do that.

PAUL: It is not worth war to prevent the Iranian nuke.  I am afraid what is going on right now is similar to Iraq War popaganda.  That was all orchestrated. It is not worthwhile, but you get a declaration of War from Congress if you do.

PERRY:  Let me answer the previous question and not the one you just asked me.  The issue that has not been raised is that this country can sanction the Iranian central bank right now and shut down their economy and Obama needs to make that stand today.  Now, let’s complete the mission in Afghanistan. The mission must be completed without a timetable given to the enemy. It is irresponsible from all standpoints.  There should be no timetables given to the military. As Commander in Chief I would discuss with commanders on the field and make progress.  We should train up the Afghan security forces to protect that citizenry.  It is a very complex part of the world and our military is doing the best that it can.  We can’t telegraph pullout to the enemy.

SANTORUM:  Taliban is not a neutered force yet. They are still a security threat.  This is the most important national security issue, the Iranian nuke.  All of us should be able to answer that question.  We need to put tough sanctions in place for Iran.  President Bush and President Obama did not give money to the pro-democracy movement in Iran.  Sanctions is not going to be enough. You need to read the IEA report.  We should be working with Israel right now.  Take out the nuclear capability.  We need to stop this before we have a nuclear explosion in Iran and the world changes.

BACHMANN:  Surge troops have made a difference, but Obama’s dithering resulted in just 30k troops and if only there had been 40k troops then the military could have dealt with the problem in both provinces, not just the south. There has been improvement down in Khandahar.  Obama has made the fatal decision that by next September our troops will be withdrawn.

– NOTE: moderators are interrupting every candidate, this is a bad format for debate –

HUNTSMAN:  There is a lack of security in certain parts of Afghanistan. It is time to come home from Afghanistan.  We uprooted the Taliban. We killed Osama.  Our nation’s future is not Afghanistan and Iraq.  We must withdraw completely and come home because the future is Asia and the Pacific Rim so we need to focus there.  We need a small component of tactical intelligence troops and some commitment to train the Afghan national army.  We are fighting an asymetric counter terror threat as a reality of 21st Century military.

ROMNEYCARE:  We don’t negotiate with terrorists or the Taliban. With regards to our footprint in Afghanistan, we have to make sure we keep our progress there.  The Commander in Chief has decided to bring the troops home in the middle of the next election instead of asking generals when it should happen.  The timetable by the end of 2014 is the right timetable.

GINGRICH:  I don’t think you should negotiate with the Taliban.  This is so much bigger and deeper a problem than what we have talked about as a country.  Guerillas always survive with a sanctuary and that sanctuary is Pakistan.  It needs to be a much larger discussion.  Pakistan and Iran are the problems and Afghanistan is the least important of the three.

CAIN:  We don’t know if Pakistan is a friend or foe.  Pakistan is where Osama was found and eliminated.  Pakistan has talked to Karzai and Afghanistan is going to side with Pakistan.  There is a lot of clarity missing here in this whole region. Our relationship with Pakistan needs to be re-evaluated.  What commitments is Pakistan willing to make to prove it is a friend?  What commitments will it make regarding its military? What sort of regional agreement and strategy is possible?  We need our allies to work together for things mutually beneficial to everyone.

PERRY:  I think we are having an interesting conversation here, but Gingrich makes reference to foreign aid.  We need to send a message.  The foreign aid budget should start at zero dollars.  Then we will have a conversation about whether a penny of tax dollars needs to go into those countries.  Pakistan is sending a message to me that it does not deserve our foreign aid.  Soldiers’ lives are being put in jeopardy.  I say NO to foreign aid to countries that do not support the US.

Pakistan has been doing this for years.  Their political people are not in charge of the country, their military are.  I don’t trust Pakistan.  We need to do foreign aid differently.  American manufacturing, big companies, etc. who create economic aid need to be involved not just our tax dollars.

BACHMANN: Pakistan is a very difficult area because they have been harboring and training terrorists.  I would reduce foreign aid to many countries.  But Pakistan has a nuclear weapon.  We have more Al Queda close to that nuclear bomb than anywhere else.  We need to understand the intricacies of the middle east.  Iran is working through proxies like Syra.  The table is being set for worldwide nuclear war against Israel. Obama stands with Occupy Wall Street but not with Israel and he is not Israel’s friend.

GINGRICH:  Perry makes sense.  You should start at zero.  We give Egypt $3 billion a year.  You ought to start with zero and say “Explain why I should give you a penny”.  The Pakistanis hid bin Laden for 6 years in a military city and then got mad at those who helped us find him.  Why should we give them any money?

We need to rethink all of this.  The degree to which the Arab Spring is an Anti-Christian Spring concerns me.  The Coptics in Egypte are being persecuted.  We should not support governments that are hostile to religions other than Islam.

SANTORUM: Pakistan is an nuclear power.  We can’t be indecisive.  We must make Pakistan our friend.  As friends we need to get over our difficulties.  We should treat Pakistan like Saudi Arabia.  The terrorists come from there but we need to maintain our relationships despite that.  We need a solid and stable relationship.

– BREAK:  Note, the Lincoln-Douglas style debates without moderators are so much better.  When there are moderators like this, all the candidates get interrupted.  There’s no reason for this interruption. It really defeats the purpose of having a debate.  There should also not be so many people up on the stage: Huntsman and Santorum need to be left out of future debates.  In December, one or two others need to be cut as well so that more time can be spent by people like Cain and Gingrich talking about their plans for our country.  My suggestion is to cut Mittens Romneycare and Rick Perry in December, and have the debaters be Cain, Gingrich, Bachmann, and Dr. Paul.

GINGRICH:  I think Romneycare brings up things on his radio shows and so do I. Compared to this administration, everyone on this stage is a huge improvement over Obama.  I would specifically adopt the Reagan/Thatcher/John Paul II policy towards Iran.  I would repudiate what Obama has done with the United Nations.  I would apply LEAN Six Sigman to Defense to save the Navy.

CAIN:  The approach to making a critical decision: first, surround yourself with the right people.  I will use that thinking to put together the Cabinet and ask experts for alternatives. Because I will have a multiple group of people making multiple recommendations, I will get the best answers but I will make the decisions.

SANTORUM: My agenda is to surround myself with people who do not share my point of view.  I follow through and do what I say.  I follow through.  I surround myself with people who will execute what I promised the American public I would do. The issue we talk about before is that Iran must not get a nuclear weapon. I hope that some of the things that we talk about here like covert activity…there are scientists turning up dead and computer viruses taking down Iran…I hope the US is behind all of this and I will do more of this.  My laser focus is to prevent a nuclear Iran.

PERRY:  I remember the Department of Energy tonight.  I have been thinking about it. (big laughs from audience).  Well, there are plenty of places that should have oversight on nuclear energy.  The most important thing from a strategic point of Commander of Chief is important because I am Commander in Chief in Texas and I have had hands on commander in chief experience. I have met generals and dealt with the Department of Defense.  I have people help me make decisions. I surround myself with extraordinary people who have backgrounds.  I will put the country on secure tract and secure the southern border with Mexico.

CAIN:  Stance on torture.  I believe that following procedures established by the military.  I do not agree with torture period but I trust the decisions of our military leaders on what is torture and what is not.  Now Cain is asked about waterboarding.  I agree that waterboarding was enhanced interrogation technique and I would return to that policy. I see it as an enhanced interrogation technique.

BACHMANN: If I was president I would use waterboarding because it was effective.  Barack Obama is using the ACLU to run the CIA.  We have no CIA interrogation anymore.  It is as though Obama has decided we wanted to lose the war on terror.

PAUL: Torture is illegal by our laws and international laws.  Waterboarding is torture and many other things.  It is illegal under our law and international war and is impractical. There is no evidence you get good information. That is what you get because torture is uncivilized and unAmerican.

BACHMANN:  I have to say something on this — get interrupted by the moderator and shut down.

HUNTSMAN: I am lonely in Siberia. I have two boys in the United States Navy.  We have a name brand in the world. I have lived overseas four times and been an ambassador three times.  We project liberty democracy and human rights. Waterboarding is torture.  If we lose the ability to project values, then we lose it all.

ROMNEYCARE: Absolutely it is important for an American president to order the death of an American citizen who is supporting an enemy abroad. That person is fair game.  Let me talk about foreign policy. I would be guided by an overwhelming conviction that this is an American Century where America leads the free world and the entire world.  America is an exceptional nation.  I believe the way to conduct foreign policy is by making America stronger.

Moderator scolds audience and tells them not to boo anyone.

GINGRICH: It is the rule of law that if you engage in war against the United States you are an enemy combatant.  You should not go to court.  There is a huge gap here between criminal defense being in American law and waging war against the United States being outside law.  The correct thing in war is to kill people who are trying to kill you.

PERRY: Some say the 21st Century is the century of China, but I don’t believe that.  Reagan said that Russia will end up on the ash heap of history. I think the Communist Chinese government will end up on the ash heap too. It is important to have virtues.  We need to use all of our resources, including the private sector. We need to fight the cyber war. It is a great issue to face and we must win int.

ROMNEYCARE:  China has an interest in trade.  They have 20 million people coming from the farms and into the cities every year.  We need them to understand that they must play by the rules and not hack into computer systems and take patents and designs and counterfeit them.  They can’t manipulate their currency.  They have to play by the rules if they want open trade.  They should want to collaborate.  We can’t just sit back and let them run over us.

You need to bring an action to the WTO to hit China as a currency manipulator. We can’t sit back and let China run all over us. There is already a trade war.

HUTNSMAN:  Well, I speak sophomore high school level Chinese, so I am an expert here.  China is about to embark on a generational transition. We need to reach out to the Chinese so they will like us when they take over the world.  The young Chinese people are going to control the world and we need to reach out to them and befriend them.

– BREAK:  CBS moderators are AWFUL.  One of them tried arguing with Gingrich that killing terrorists is wrong and that these people should be taken to criminal court, like they are bank robbers or car thieves or something.  I swear, these people who end up in “journalism” are a special blend of crazy and stupid.

PERRY:  Every country needs to start at zero in financial aid. Israel is our good friend and that is a special case. Zero Based budgeting is where we need to go.  Every country needs to make their case on why we should give them aid.  Why in the world should our federal government get a pass?

NOTE — this is the end of the first hour, and most CBS stations are leaving the debate now.  Coverage on line will continue.  Next up, Lindsey “Bette Davis Eyes” Graham and Jim DeMint will be asking questions.

It was weird they went to commercial, talked to Perry for like 30 seconds, then went to another commercial.  What a poorly planned debate segment/news coverage. Shame on CBS.

Technical note: for some reason, the stream is now acting up. It was great the first 40 minutes, and now it’s cutting in and out.  Looks like we can’t ever win on this.

BACHMANN: Is asked about military spending.  Talks about having a fixed cost system for defense weapons development. Talks about the need for modernization with just about everything. We continue to abide by outdated models when everything is now affected by technology.  No one wants to be in Obamacare. I will repeal Obamacare — she gets cut off again by Moderator.

CAIN:  talks about Obama mishandling all the Middle East revolutions and allowing Islamist governments to take over.  Scolds Obama for saying the president of Yemen should go.

Moderator asks about Syria and the Arab League voting to sanction Syria.

GINGRICH:  Obama has made people feel they cannot depend on the United States.

PAUL: Asked about covert operations in Syria.  No — it’s a tragedy and it would be nice if they would accept different views but we should not get in the middle of that and prop up those different dictatorships.  We get in trouble propping up these different dictatorships we have supported.

ROMNEYCARE: Of course it is time for the Assad dictatorship to end and we should use covert activity to do that.  In Syria, you have Syria in place and we need to help Turkey and Saudi Arabia who are putting pressure on him.

CAIN: I would reverse all of Obama’s policies.  I would keep Gitmo open, I’d allow enhanced interrogation techniques against terrorists and would not pamper them,

SANTORUM:  Civilian courts are not for terrorists.

PAUL: We’re in a mess because we have a bad foreign policy. We are at war against a tactic and there is no limits to it. We create monstrosities and come up with all these vacillations and allow the President to decide who must be assassinated. If you want to live within the law and obey the law, because otherwise it will be very bad for all of us.

We can’t make the President the prosecutor, the jury, and the executor.

Bachmann wants to speak but the moderators don’t let her again and disrespect her — the moderators treat Bachmann like she does not even exist and she lets them do it.

– Do you notice, that while Bachmann is never allowed to speak, almost every other question is given to Willard Mittens Romneycare?

BACHMANN:  Paul might disagree with this, but we should not treat terrorists like they are citizens. We need to take these people out and we need to use all means to get information from them.

PAUL:  I authorized the effort against Osama.  But the rest of the last ten years were a waste.  We should not give up so easily on our rule of law.

Senator DeMint’s question now:  (Bette Davis asked her question earlier).

Of course, it’s Romneycare who gets to talk first.

ROMNEYCARE:  We need to eliminate programs like Obamacare that would save $94 Billion a year.  We all love public broadcasting and the national endowment for the arts, but we can’t afford them and we should not borrow from China to have them. We need to devolve almost everything to the states. The federal government is too overburdened with excessive personnel and the public workers should not earn more than private sector workers.

HUNTSMAN:  We need to recognize that debt is a security problem.  Greece and Japan have their GDP going to debt. We need to tackle the debt and spending.  The Ryan Plan sets out a template that puts it all on the table.  We need to send Medicaid to the states.  We need spending down to 19% of GDP.

NOTE: It looks like so many people are now trying to listen to the stream online that it’s crashing.

The stream keeps cutting in and out because too many people are trying to use it.

CAIN:  I will make a decision on Pakistan after consulting with commanders on the ground and having conversations with Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is unclear where we stand with Pakistan.  It is unclear where we stand with Afghanistan.  We have to tread lightly and get all the info. Pakistan is one of 9 nations with a nuclear weapon.

Victory needs to be clearly defined.  The mission and definition of victory need to be clear.

ROMNEYCARE:  The right way to deal with Pakistan is to recognize it is not like other countries.  This is close to being a failed state. It has four centers of power: intelligence services, military, political, and Islamists.  We need to get a better handle on all these groups.

SANTORUM: talks about Pakistan moving nukes around in delivery vans and other weird security lapses.

GINGRICH:  We rely too much on “friends” for intelligence.

HUNTSMAN: There is a crisis in Europe over debt and contagion.  Let me just say about Pakistan because it is clear.  There is one man in charge there. General Beanni is in charge.  The president is not in charge.  I would call special ops in Tamps and call a SEAL Team in and take out the loose nukes. That’s my leadership. Europe has a few problems.

We need to keep Europe’s problems from spreading to our banks.

Almost out of time in the debate now

PERRY: Talks about French and Germans dealing with Euro crisis and how Euro was supposed to be a competitor to the dollar.

Don’t forget to listen to The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show tonight at 930pm EST and 830pm CST immediately after the debate for recap and commentary.  The episode auto-archives as a debate recap for podcasting if you missed the debate entirely.

GOP Debate Advance Questions: CBS – National Journal

Posted at November 12, 2011 by Kathleen Gee // 2012 Elections, 2012 GOP Candidates, Debate Live Blogs & Transcripts, Debate Prep, Herman Cain, Jon Huntsman *, Michelle Bachmann, Mittens Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul

With all the trouble with had with the site being inaccessible today, our mole at CBS didn’t get the questions to us until moments ago.

Moderator: As you all know, this debate will focus on foreign policy. So our purpose here today is to give the Democrat National Committee the damning sound bytes they need from Mitt Romney to make our very wise president, Barack Obama, look like a foreign policy genius in the commercials next year. Because I’m sure we can all agree, with the economy in shambles, the President’s personal killing of Moammar Ghaddafi and Osama bin Laden are the only bright spots in his tenure thus far.

So with that in mind, please answer the following questions in detail, in 15 seconds or less. You’ll have 15 seconds for rebuttals, unless you’re Michelle Bachmann, in which case we’ll cut you off after 10 seconds, or Ron Paul, whom we intend to ignore until after Rick Perry has made his his brain freeze gaffe du jour, or until the last 10 minutes, whichever is later.

And as usual, Mitt Romney may speak as long as he chooses, as the Frontrunner Handpicked By Us Presumptive GOP Nominee.

Michelle Bachmann: Is it true you can see Russia from your house? And, as a follow-up, isn’t it true that our friends in the Muslim world would see the election of a woman as a provocation, and isn’t that reason enough for you to drop out of the race?

Rick Perry: If a train leaves Islamabad at 3:45 a.m., traveling west at 55 kilometers per hour…Mr. Perry? Please wake up, Mr. Perry. We have to maintain the illusion that you’re top tier. Mr. Perry?

Mitt Romney: Is there anything you need from us? To whom should we be most dismissive? Did you get the box of Cuban cigars we dropped off in your dressing room? Fidel autographed them for you. Excellent…and the champagne? Was it bubbly enough for you? How about the caviar. Did you get the caviar? We got the beluga, as you requested. So, Mr. Romney…you look extra presidential tonight. Please share with us, in detail, the foreign policy failings of each one of your GOP opponents. Take all the time you need.

Jon Huntsman: You were appointed ambassador to China, our biggest creditor, by the president who has run up the USA’s largest national debt. Where do you get your suits tailored? Can you tell us how to say “sucker” in Chinese?

Rick Santorum: Frankly, you have no chance of winning.

Newt Gingrich: How would you build alliances with our allies, given the fact that you gave your wife cancer and then murdered her?

Herman Cain: Counting from 12:01 a.m. this morning, how long has it been since you forced yourself on a blonde white woman?

Ron Paul: You insist on repeating the findings of the 9/11 Commission, in which they say that terrorist attacks on the U.S. are “blowback” for decades of U.S. meddling in the internal affairs of Muslim nations in the Middle East, such as the 1953 coup in Iran, in which the CIA helped overthrow Iran’s democratically-elected prime minister and install the Shah of Iran. Isn’t it true, Mr. Paul, that despite getting more campaign donations from active duty military than all other candidates put together, you actually hate America and secretly root for the terrorists? Hold that thought…we’re out of time.

GREAT MERCIFUL ZEUS: Is Occupy Portland Making Stone Age Weapons and Gearing Up to RIOT?

Posted at November 12, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Alinsky Methods, The Left

Things are escalating fast at Occupy Portland.

Reports are coming in that the Occupoopers are gathering stones and bricks, hammering nails into wooden planks, and digging a trench in a public park from which to stage a property-destroying riot and physical assault on the Portland police.

Hope!

Change!

The ground troops for Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign are making Portland their Guernica.

Someone should ask the police union what it thinks of the other Labor Unions gearing up, weaponizing, and setting the stage to do serious bodily harm to officers in Portland who are planning on evicting the Occupoopers there.

Stay tuned…and pray for the safety of the police officers that will have to disarm and disperse these Obama 2012 operatives.

HillBuzz Hit With Denial of Service Cyber Attack Today: November 12, 2011

Posted at November 12, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Hillbuzz

UPDATE: Apparently, THIS is what started all the trouble for us and prompted the Left to try to shut us down today.  Evidently, we hit a real nerve this time and received some Alinsky treatment as a result.  Looks like today was Occupy HillBuzz Day on the Left.

*************************************************************************************

We’re still trying to figure out what’s happening, but if you are reading this message that means the site is at least somewhat up now…even if it’s freezing up or not loading properly for you.

Sometime this morning, HillBuzz.org was hit with what appears to be an aggressive Denial of Service attack that wiped us out.

Thankfully, we moved HillBuzz to our own server earlier in the year and have been paying for backups and computer support all these months — which today has proved to be a very smart investment, since evidently someone out there was ticked off enough by something we wrote in the last few days to launch this attack on HillBuzz today.

This actually came after something else strange happened over at our BlogTalkRadio archives last night, where for several hours our archived shows for all of 2011 were erased…until BlogTalkRadio was able to restore them from backups.

I can only guess that all of this happened because last night I announced on HB that Larry Sinclair will be a guest on The HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show on Tuesday night.  A lot of strange things have been happening regarding computer and technical issues since I wrote on Monday about Barack Obama being gay and about how the Left aggressively targets people who speak the truth about him and his many secrets. This was an article meant to show the hypocrisy in the Left, since people like Sinclair have their lives destroyed for talking about Barack Obama’s hidden life, but those who appear to accuse Republicans like Herman Cain of anything under the sun are deemed courageous and heroic for doing so.

I don’t know how to prove who cyberattacked us today, or why they did it, but I have to assume they did it because they don’t like Larry Sinclair coming on our show and they don’t like me talking about Barack Obama sexually harassing male staffers in the White House, such as Reggie Love or Kal Penn.

That makes me think there is a lot more to this story than we’ve written about here yet…and that it certainly is worth looking into if it gets this sort of aggressive response from the Left to silence anyone delving into it.

I apologize for any trouble you are having reading the site today; please know we are working very hard to get things back to normal and restore the site completely from our backups today.
