Question of the Day: What Do You Know About Che Guevara?
For the last several months, Megan Fox and I have been working an investigation into the Marxist Indoctrination ongoing in Chicago public schools…where people like Che Guevara’s pictures are displayed on walls and websites in the schools as if they should be idolized by the students.
When Megan and I have canvassed neighborhoods asking people who live around these schools what they know about Guevara, specifically, most people freely admit they have no idea who he really was…but recognize him from tee shirts.
What do you know about Che Guevara?
Be honest in the thread below.
What do you think or feel when you see his face on a tee shirt?
Without looking him up on the Internet, what do you know about Guevara and the life he led and what do you think most high school students know about him?

Michelle Antoinette Obama BOOED at NASCAR Final Chase Race
Holy CRAP, Batman!
As a bitter midwestern American, Sundays are all about clinging to my guns (all 47 of them) and my religion (NASCAR).
So of course, I’m watching the final race of the NASCAR season at Homestead in Florida. As is typical in NASCAR, members of the US military were honored during the opening ceremonies. There was the standard fighter flyover from a nearby air base, and this time, a decorated sniper and his family were chosen to make the standard “Gentlemen, start your engines!” announcement.
The sniper and his family were flanked by First Finger-Wagger Moochelle Antoinette Obama and Jill Biden (AKA the brains in that family.) I would bet money that Moochelle Antoinette and Jill don’t give a “G-D America” for NASCAR racing, the military, or the normal patriotic Americans who flock to NASCAR races.
And apparently the feeling is mutual, because the sniper and his family were cheered–and then Moochelle and Jill were loudly BOOED moments later when they were announced.
I’ve never seen anything like it.
Apparently the NASCAR fans in attendance saw this for what it was–yet another paid vacation for Moochelle and her entourage.
UPDATE:
Just found the video on the Intertubes:
UPDATE #2: In an incredibly thrilling finish, Tony Stewart won the race, and in doing so, won the 2011 NASCAR championship. Congratulations to his team, sponsors and supporters.
Question of the Day: How Did Ted Kennedy Beat the Mittens Out of Willard Romney Back in 1994?
Today I’d like to spend some time taking a look back to the 1994 Massachusetts Senate election, where Ted Kennedy beat the mittens out of Willard Romneycare.
I was in high school during this campaign, but I remember how ugly a year it was for Democrats — and also remember how hard President Clinton campaigned for Democrats coast to coast…even having to spend an unusually large amount of time in Massachusetts to help the Kennedy Dynasty cling to its seat in the Senate.
1994 was the Republicans’ best chance of defeating Ted Kennedy: the stars aligned and the Fates conspired to produce the perfect storm that could have snatched “the Kennedy seat” away from the aristocratic spiders of Hyannis Port…but Willard Mittens Romneycare lost — and lost BIG — to Kennedy.
Why was that?
Let’s spend this Sunday digging into the 1994 election between Kennedy and Romneycare, because I have a feeling the Left has already done just that…and they’re prepped to use many of the same attacks from back then on Romneycare should the “Tolerant Left”, the agenda-driven media, and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment succeed in making Romneycare the Republican nominee for president in 2012.
I remember how terrified the Kennedy Family was of losing “their seat” in 1994…until Romneycare was the GOP nominee, and then everyone started to breathe much easier. The Kennedys spent an absolute fortune on the race, but they would have lost that seat if the GOP had run someone other than Romneycare that year (despite it being “his turn”, evidently, to have the Senate nomination in Massachusetts).
In a year when Democrats were being trounced coast to coast, Romneycare lost when pitted against the “Tolerant Left’s” standard bearer…in much the same way that Romneycare would be matched up against the new Leftist embodiment of Barack Obama in 2012 (should the Cocktail Party Establishment have its way).
So far, I’ve discovered some of what the Left ran against Romneycare that really sunk him with voters:
1. As CEO of Bain Capital, Romneycare was responsible for the loss of thousands of jobs — particularly in Indiana — because Bain Capital was an entity that bought companies for the purpose of shutting them down…and this alienated Romneycare from voters who were struggling economically (just like the way people are struggling now, and will be in 2012).
2. The Kennedy Family — despite its near unlimited wealth — was able to successfully depict Romneycare as an out of touch, extremely wealthy man who was a classic caricature of suit and tie Big Business. Despite the lavish spending and general decadence the Obamas have demonstrated while in Washington, expect Democrats to use the same caricature to alienate Americans from Romneycare again in 2012.
3. Ted Kennedy harped on being “a public servant” and claiming the Kennedy Family had dedicated itself not to making money, but for working for the people…and contrasted that with Romneycare being the CEO of Bain Capital (which is one of the most unfortunately evil sounding corporations I’ve ever heard of existing in the real world, and not, say, in a 1980s cartoon of some kind (where it could have, for instance, been the front company of COBRA on GI Joe or the like)). I bet it will be easy to do something like this to Romneycare in a matchup against Barack Obama, since Obama’s never had a real job and will claim to be a humble “community organizer” again, while Romneycare’s continuing to run away from his record as Massachusetts Governor (this week, at least) and will have a hard time claiming his Bain Capital stint as a positive once the Occupy Wall Street thugs heat up their rhetoric again in 2012 (as it’s pretty clear what they did this fall was just a warm-up to what’s coming in the actual election).
If you’re a Republican voter who keeps buying the Cocktail Party GOP establishment’s line that “Romneycare’s the most electable!” then I’d love to hear from you in comments below…with an explanation of why Romneycare wasn’t electable at all back in 1994, when the Tolerant Left put forward its Leftist champion and the Cocktail Partiers awarded Romneycare the nomination…only to lose an election that was indeed winnable…if only they hadn’t made Romneycare the nominee.
What are your memories or researched insights into the 1994 Kennedy vs. Romneycare Senate race?

[ NOTE: The above is a clip from the old TV show "What's My Line?" in a segment where a panel of celebrities had to guess the identity of a famous person by asking him questions. In this clip they had to guess who Frank Lloyd Wright was. I think this is interesting because there are so many Lloyd Wright building in Chicago but few people remember what he sounded like. ]
Today in History:
2008 – After critical failures in the US financial system began to build up after mid-September, the Dow Jones Industrial Average reaches its lowest level since 1997. That was the October Surprise that George Soros rigged in September 2008 to secure the presidency for Barack Obama; September 2008 was also when John McCain just gave up and pretty much abandoned his campaign. Do you honestly think Willard Mittens Romneycare won’t just give up in 2012 when Soros does something like this again if the Cocktail Party GOP Establishment succeeds in making Romneycare the “it’s his turn” nominee.
2001 – In Washington, D.C., U.S. President George W. Bush dedicates the United States Department of Justice headquarters building as the Robert F. Kennedy Justice Building, honoring the late Robert F. Kennedy on what would have been his 76th birthday. Don’t hold your breathe for a Ted Kennedy School of Driving and/or Submarine Piloting to be dedicated any time soon.
1992 – In England, a fire breaks out in Windsor Castle, badly damaging the castle and causing over £50 million worth of damage. Meanwhile, here in 2011, the entire country’s essentially burning down around us while the big queen in the White House does absolutely nothing to salvage our economy (and hint, I’m not talking ’bout Michelle).
1947 – The Princess Elizabeth marries Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten at Westminster Abbey in London. Meanwhile, here in the US, without a set Head of State to maintain traditions over many years, we’re left to the whims of fate regarding whoever happens to be in the White House at the time serving as both Head of State and Head of Government in this country. Here’s hoping the 45th President and First Lady who take over in 2013 are people who are prepared to assume these important duties and carry them out always with dignity.
1789 – New Jersey becomes the first U.S. state to ratify the Bill of Rights. And to think, they managed that without any help whatsoever from Snooki.
What’s going on in your part of the country?
What are the big stories people you know are talking about?

Gary Johnson Slaps CBS with FEC and FCC Complaints Over Debate Shutout
As the media bias commentator here on HillBuzz, I try to help voters understand how media bias works, how to recognize it, and how to tell if your opinions actually belong to you, or if you’re just repeating a meme planted in your head by the Democrat-Controlled Media.
I tend to use the Ron Paul campaign coverage to illustrate this, because bias against his campaign is the most obvious. (Ron Paul is third in fundraising, has won more straw polls than all other GOP candidates, #1 in donations from active duty military, and is polling #2 in Iowa and New Hampshire, and yet, is dead last in media coverage.)
There are two broad categories of media bias: sins of commission and sins of omission. Both are equally effective, but they’re used differently against different GOP candidates.
If a candidate’s closet is stuffed full of skeletons, or even just rumors of skeletons, the Democrat-Controlled Media will go over those skeletons with a microscope, and blast “news” of those skeletons into the ears of GOP voters with bullhorns 24/7 (See Herman Cain).
If a candidate is skeleton-free, and has a powerful message, the Democrat-Controlled Media simply pretends they don’t exist (see Michelle Bachmann, Ron Paul and Gary Johnson.)
The most recent example of this kind of exclusionary bias was delivered to us via CBS “News” last week. As has been widely reported, Ron Paul was asked only one question, and got only 89 seconds of airtime, during the one-hour televised portion of the debate. Michelle Bachmann received several more questions, but was rudely cut off during several answers, whereas other candidates (Mitt Romney, Rick Perry) were allowed to speak as long as they cared to. And Gary Johnson was excluded from the debate altogether, despite polling numbers that are similar to those of Rick Santorum, who was included.
This obvious bias has inspired Gary Johnson’s presidential campaign to file official complaints with both the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). His complaint styles the CBS debate as an “illegal campaign contribution”–essentially, an under-the-table in-kind donation to the candidates who were included in the debate and got the most air time. As reported on TheHill.com,
Johnson’s complaint charges that debate sponsor CBS significantly contributed to the candidates who were allowed to participate in the debate, “directly and significantly supporting those candidates it favors, and advocating the nomination of one of their favorites and opposing the nomination of [Johnson], whom CBS evidently disfavors.” [...]
Saturday’s debate, co-hosted by CBS and National Journal, was the first debate to air on broadcast television. According to Johnson’s complaint, “the public owns the airways over which CBS broadcasts, and the public deserves to be free from bias — favoring some candidates over others — as well as illegal support of certain presidential candidates on national network television.”
Given the fact that CBS “News” Political Director John Dickerson knew in advance that Michelle Bachmann wouldn’t get many questions, it does tend to confirm Gary Johnson’s charge that the CBS debate was stage-managed to favor certain candidates over others.
This is just the latest and most obvious effort by the Democrat-Controlled Media to nominate Mitt Romney. As CNN’s Howard Kurtz notes in this segment after the Iowa Straw Poll, “We are in the business of kicking candidates out of the race.”

What are people talking about where you live?
Are your friends and family paying attention to the GOP primary process yet?
What’s the most blatant example of the Democrat-Controlled Media manipulating the GOP nomination that you’ve seen today?
To Think I Almost Went to this School.
Anyone who talks about Cuba as if it’s some lovely utopia is fucking clueless. Housing is not a right. I bought my house, bitch. You don’t have a “right” to it. Go pay for your own. These filthy dirty marxist hippies are clear: WE WANT YOUR STUFF.
Oh, and on a side note, I’m taking a firearms class to get my carry permit. Looks like I’m gonna need it.
Loons.
