Live Blog Transcript of Obama’s Economy-Rescuing Jobs Speech September 8th, 2011
If you are unemployed, facing eviction, destitute, depressed, or otherwise living in this “The Golden Age of Hopeychange”, then you are in luck because tonight President Obama will solve all of your problems by giving a speech.
For good measure, Michelle Antoinette Obama will probably wear something inappropriate to the occasion and quite unflattering, but will still be called “a global fashion icon” because she is the first black First Lady and can do no wrong in the agenda-driven and bar-lowering media.
Because this jobs speech is going to solve all of our economic problems (the way Obama’s many speeches sent tingles up Chris Matthews’ legs, lowered the oceans, made Austrian a language, fixed the hole in the ozone, inventing seven new states, and declared a whole geographic swath of Americans to be bitter and gun-and-relgion-clinging), I am going to do something I have not done in three years: I am going to watch Obama’s speech, live, and will do another live blog/transcript/summary of it.
This is because I know Obama’s gonna change the economic Depression we are in by saying hope a lot, which is the reason the agenda-driven media gave for why we needed so desperately to elect this unaccomplished, insincere, narcissist to the highest office in the land to begin with. Because he’s magical, and his words inspire so many that he can accomplish anything with just a speechwriter, a few TelePrompTers, and an ego the size of Indonesia.
This thread will be bumped up to the top later tonight when the speech starts, but is here now for you to predict what Obama will say and just how long it will take for the economy to get better and for everyone to have jobs again now that Obama has given his JOBS SPEECH.
Remember: Obama and his crack team of super geniuses have been working day and night on this for weeks. We’ve been waiting for this the whole time Obama was off on his latest vacation. It will no doubt be the greatest speech ever spoken in the English language as a result.
Are you excited, or what?

TRANSCRIPT BEGINS HERE when speech airs 9/8/11:
* 632pm — I thought this started at 7pm CST, so I am joining it late.
What’s with the pastel, color-coordinated ties on Obama, Biden, and Boehner? They look like a 1960s girl group. The Marvelettes or something. It’s pretty sissy actually. I’m a gay dude, with a Whitney Houston poster right on my wall, so I can say that.
It’s been so long since I’ve listened to one of Obama’s speeches…his voice is hard for me to hear. It’s so insincere and he’s clearly reading what’s written in front of him on the TelePrompTers. He’s still doing that undulating cadence thing he learned at Jeremiah Wright’s church and on the tapes of Wright that Obama listened to while in school so he could “sound black” when he wanted to. It’s so fake and clearly for affect, like someone from England trying to put on an American accent and almost, but not quite, getting it right.
635pm – Obama’s saying it’s not “the story of America to dismantle government”. Well, it should be.
Obama has one of the threads in our history is that we are all connected. He invokes Lincoln again, like he did in the 2008 campaign, and says that Lincoln was a Republican and used government to build a railroad, set up a land grant collect, and do other things for the nation, so Lincoln loved government.
This argument is really silly, because the problem is not that there is a government, but that the government is too big and it has interfered too much in the economy. Which is why we are in a Depression. Obama’s listing all sorts of good things the government did — like the GI Bill — but doesn’t mention how government overregulation and the labor unions have chased away so many businesses that real unemployment is now between 16-20% in this “The Golden Age of Hopeychange”.
639pm – Obama is doing a new thing with his voice. There’s a lot more smarminess in it. There’s still that Jeremiah Wright stuff…but with this smarm chaser, where he quickens his speech at the end of a sentence.
The audience is doing that weird thing that happens in these addresses, regardless of who is speaking, where they start cheering and jump up for standing ovations. They all look so foolish. I wish there would be a rule that this had to stop.
This is not the homecoming pep rally with Drama Club doing skits and the football players dancing to some goofy song. This is supposed to be serious, and would take half as long to listen to if there wasn’t this forced, Mao-ish, canned cheering.
642pm — Did you pick up on this? On Monday, Governor Palin referred to both Lincoln and Kennedy in her Manchester, New Hampshire speech to the Tea Party. And now Obama had to mention both Lincoln and Kennedy in this speech. I’m sure this was him copying her. There are no original thoughts with this man.
643pm — Wow. I am surprised. The speech just suddenly ended. I thought it would be longer. Since the speech is over, you must all have jobs now, because Obama has now cast his JOBS SPELL.
645pm — Kelly O’Donnell is doing commentary now. She is one of the dimmest bulbs in all of broadcasting. She used to be on the CBS affiliate in Cleveland in the 90s when I was in high school. She seems to have actually gotten ridiculous since then. I didn’t think it was possible.
*** FYI, I’ll go back and listen to the whole speech as soon as it’s archived. I didn’t know it was starting this early. Does anyone know why that happened? Why wasn’t this on at 8pm EST? Was it because of football?
648pm — Brian Williams then went on for a while about some terrorism scare in Pakistan, where a plot may have been uncovered involving Muslims planning to explode (peacefully, of course) car bombs all over New York and Washington to commemorate 9/11 with the murders of more people. Then, in ten years, they’ll probably want to build mosques where each of the bombs exploded. Am I the only one who’s realized that Muslims treat bombs the way gardeners use seeds…except instead of growing something beautiful or delicious, Muslims sew chaos and destruction and then patiently wait a few years to reap chances to erect mosques or other monstrous edifices celebrating the murders they committed.
How the left remembers and forgets
The 10th anniversary of 9/11 is coming up this weekend. Others have written about how this specific event has been hijacked by political correctness. I will discuss how the left nitpicks what is worthy of remembrance and what is not.
I am a docent at LACMA, the largest art museum in Los Angeles. Like Kevin life in Boystown – it’s very lonely there. There are a handful of GOP voters but although we acknowledge one another, we stay under the radar.
LACMA, a proud far left institution, has purchased a very disturbing ‘artwork’; it is basically a full size display of a black man being castrated by 5 masked white men – after being accused of raping a white woman. (I won’t publicize this work. If you must, go to LACMA’s website for details). 50 years ago the artist couldn’t sell or display it here in America. Of course Europe and Japan have been thrilled to shame America by displaying this travesty for years.
The museum, the LA Times, and NPR are all celebrating this most important event – a way to shame and insult America. They who claim to be beyond race are stoking the racial flames, because to be honest, we as a society have moved beyond those awful days of lynching. Today more violent evil crimes are perpetrated by black against themselves or white people. Just look at the murders in Chicago or the black flashmobs. I am not suggesting we create art to teach and inform the public about these events – that is what news media is for.
Which brings me to the whitewashing of 9/11 — within a month of the event, we no longer saw or heard the news reels of the towers falling. The images of 200 people hurling themselves out of the windows of the towers, the awful sounds of their bodies hitting the pavement, have been erased from our memories.
The left is doing its best to erase the evil of 9/11, because they and the Islamists share a common enemy – us. On the other hand, we as a nation have progressed far in race relations – real true honest progress. That dismays the left, they hate that to such a degree that they will go out of their way to shove it back down our throats. They will see to it that although this mythic event in the mind of the artist 50 years ago, the image is shoved into our faces as if this was the news headline of today. Of course in doing so they once again show us who the real racists are.
I will be vocal about my opposition to this ‘exhibit’. I have my response to my horrified fellow docents who will call me narrow and closed minded. I will ask them why we don’t have a piece of artwork displaying the thousands of gay men being hung today in Iran? Why is this issue less worthy of art? Is it because slamming white racists from 50 years ago is so much easier than dealing with real issues that affect people today?

Hawaii Ground Report: What will Sarah Palin do about debate bias?
Dear HillBuzz,
Here in Hawaii, I was wondering this morning what Palin will do about the debates since they are so biased. I figured she’d just throw the bias back in their faces. Soon after this thought I read Breitbart:
http://biggovernment.com/abreitbart/2011/09/08/the-f-troop-how-the-gop-candidates-failed-simply-by-showing-up-at-msnbcpolitico-debate/
I agree with him that by participating, the GOP gives the media respect they do not deserve. Palin understands also that bringing down the Democrat Media Complex is as important as destroying the Cocktail Party GOP.
We know it’ll be an unconventional campaign, so maybe no debates will be part of it. Of course, she WILL debate Barry. Somebody could make a lot of money charging admission to those. I’m afraid the West/Biden debate will have to follow the mercy rule!
What do people think?

ACTION ITEM: Sarah Palin as American Artemis imagery
When I think of Governor Palin, I picture her most as a huntress.
Strong, independent, resourceful, determined, brave, bold, and forever vigilant.
I see her set against a backdrop of pristine nature and frontier wonder — a champion who’ll protect these resources while harvesting their bounty.
She’s an American Artemis, called at a time of crisis to the Herculean labors required to set all that’s gone wrong with the Left’s “Lightbringer” and False Pharaoh at the helm.
I would love to create an image of Governor Palin that conjures this American Artemis spirit in one graphic — or use images of the Governor that depict these themes visually.
* The abundant natural wonders of Alaskan wildlife around her
* The fortitude and strength she exudes
* The way the Governor holds her ground and stares down her foes
Please chime in on this thread with your thoughts on this American Artemis theme. This is a brainstorming session, so I want your opinions creatively on what could really work as an image to run for her during the campaign. This is a subtle branding effort on our part to reveal all the things we know about the Governor that perhaps casual political observers miss.
The Left, and its agenda-driven media propagandists, have aggressively fostered an unflattering image of the Governor that we can indeed effectively counter by encapsulating her strengths into one solid line of character branding visuals.
I see the need, but lack the artistic and creative eye to make this reality.
Can you offer your input and ideas to percolate this American Artemis theme a little further?
Media Bias Alert: MSNBC Rigs Post-Debate Poll Results to Suppress Ron Paul
The hostile and sometimes nonsensical questioning by Brian Williams, et al, during last night’s GOP debate at the Reagan Library was to be expected. No one was surprised that a Leftist “news” organization would do everything possible to make the GOP candidates look bad, and skew the event in favor of their hand-picked candidates (Mittens, Huntsman, and Perry).
What surprised me was how blatant another bit of manipulation was.
Visiting MSNBC.com to watch the debate coverage, I noticed a link to a poll: Who do you think won the GOP debate at the Reagan Library?
Of course, I logged in to see who was winning.
To MSNBC’s chagrin, Ron Paul was winning with 42.4% of the votes cast, with nearly twice as many votes as the runner-up, Mittens Romneycare, who got 22%.
But you wouldn’t know that at first glance. The graphic MSNBC posted has Ron Paul and Mittens in a dead heat:
At the time I took the screen capture, Ron Paul had received 42.4% of the votes.
Mittens Romneycare had received 22%. I wasn’t a math major, but I’m pretty sure that’s about twice as many votes for Ron Paul. Around here, we call that “a landslide.”
So why are the bars the same length? How many people would simply glance at the graphic without looking at the numbers?
Michelle Bachmann got twice as many votes as Rick Santorum, so her bar is twice as long.
When this screen grab was taken, Michelle Bachmann was trailing Herman Cain by just 0.1%, so their bars were the same length.
So why is Ron Paul’s bar the same length as Mitten’s Romneycare, when he got nearly twice as many votes?
Is it because MSNBC thinks their viewers are stupid and gullible?
Is it because MSNBC is pushing Mittens Romneycare?
Is it because MSNBC is trying to suppress Ron Paul?
Or is it all of the above?
UPDATE (9/12/11): It appears to be “all of the above.” As demonstrated in this YouTube video, the web developers at MSNBC.com applied different code to Ron Paul’s results in the chart than to anyone else’s.
Hmmmm. Why do you suppose they would they do that?
The Road Ahead for Michele Bachmann Leads to the Speakership
I was very impressed last night with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s determined pledge to fight without respite or retreat in a quest to erase Obamacare from existence.
If you read between the lines here, she’s clearly telegraphing her future plans.
Bachmann’s not running for President in 2012…she’s running for Speaker of the House in 2013.
This presidential campaign is a national profile-raiser for her so that she’ll have the clout and name recognition to mount a bid for the Speakership in the next Congress.
Her current campaign is also a way to build relationships and raise funds for her to help elect other Tea Party supported candidates to Congress next fall — whom Bachmann will count on as votes for her Speakership.
Her goal is not really to be the first female president, but to be the first female Republican Speaker of the House. It’s not about “making history” though, it’s about positioning Bachmann right where she wants and needs to be, at the helm in Congress, where she can decisively work night and day to expunge Obamacare from the record books and undue just about everything terrible the Left accomplished in the one-term “Golden Age of Hopeychange” that was the Obama presidency.
Expect Bachmann to leave the race once Governor Palin announces her presidential campaign next week or the week after.
Despite a few nasty comments Bachmann directed at the Governor before the AMES straw poll, I’ve always wondered if Bachmann wasn’t an intentional stalking horse in league with Governor Palin for their mutual benefit
* Bachmann got a profile upgrade to national figure status, which paves the way for her Speakership
* Governor Palin gets to use Bachmann’s candidacy as a stalking horse…neutralizing some of the reticence and opposition to Palin’s run, since Bachmann is to the right of the Governor, and is called “polarizing”, “unelectable”, and all the terrible pejoratives that are normally reserved for Palin. Since this was all used against Bachmann, and the public has watched one female Republican candidate get assailed by the media…when Palin enters the race and this Alinsky Machine is revved up against her, some of its effectiveness will be mitigated by the fact that people got used to Bachmann being the target for a while. This let Governor Palin leave the spotlight for a spell to prep for her campaign while Bachmann served as a distraction.
* I fully expect Bachmann to leave the race and endorse Governor Palin. It will be a tag-team effort. Once Bachmann is out, she’ll get back to her plans for her Speakership, while Governor Palin works through her network to provide the votes in the next Congress to make Bachmann Speaker.
Then, in 2013, with President Palin the White House, Vice President West in the Naval Observatory, Speaker Bachmann in the House, Senate Majority Leader DeMint in the Senate, and other patriots installed in positions of power throughout the new government, these Tea Party heroes will get to immediate work erasing Obama’s “achievements”.
Every terrible thing Obama’s done since January 20th, 2009 can be undone, and will be undone, with everyone doing their part.
Why does Ron Paul always fall for the same traps that make him seem completely crazy?
Last night, my boyfriend Justin and I watched the GOP debate at the Reagan Library in California.
Justin’s a big World of Warcraft fan, loves video games and bebopping to music, and has never been all that involved in politics, so watching a debate is something he’s actually never done before.
One of the most frequent things he asked me all night, besides “Isn’t that guy who played the president in Pelican Brief and is usually an evil pharmaceuticals CEO or something in different movies?” (whenever Jon Huntsman was shown on screen, as Justin confused him with veteran character actor Robert Culp), was “Why does Ron Paul let them make him seem so completely crazy?”.
It’s true: Ron Paul falls for the same trap every time.
Brian Williams, the moderator, actually had fun springing it again and again and again, too.
It always went something like this:
Williams: So, Dr. Paul, would you want to get rid of regulations?
Paul: Yes, because the government should not be regulating every little thing.
Williams: But, what about airplanes. They have regulations. Or what about drugs for sick people? They have regulations.Would you do away with all THOSE regulations?
[By this point, Williams is smiling, because he knows Ron Paul is going to fall for it again, and later that night back at the MSDNC headquarters, Williams will laugh and laugh about how easy it was with his media cohorts]
Paul: Well, theoretically, yes we could…
Williams: WHAT!?!?!?! You want to just let pilots be their own air traffic controllers and fly wherever they want. WHAT!?!?!?!?! You want companies to just test random things on sick people and hope nobody DIES? WHAT?!?!?!?!
Paul: The market will take care of all these things if the federal government would just…
But, nobody is listening anymore, because Dr. Paul sank into a quagmire of the theoretical again.
And this allows people to think he’s completely, certifiably crazy because the next day at work they hear someone say, “Oh, last night, that nut Ron Paul said he would get rid of the FAA and planes could fly anywhere, and then he’d stop making sure different medicines weren’t poisonous. That guy is crazy!”.
People who don’t know what really happened will just repeat this, and that’s precisely how the Left prevents a real renewal of federalism from ever happening.
This is all well-planned and executed with ease, because Ron Paul is like the cat from the Itchy & Scratchy cartoons, the one who always falls for the sadistic tricks the little mouse pulls on him.
Much to his doom.
Have you noticed this happening over and over too?
Do you think there’s a better way for Dr. Paul to express the concept of federalism, strict Constitutional adherence, and market economics without allowing the Left to discredit all of this by painting the messenger as a loon?
Do you see the Alinsky spell book in play here and understand WHY the Left does this?
