Live Blog Transcript of Republican debate for GOP presidential candidates on MSNBC
Brian Williams hosts the GOP 2012 presidential candidates’ debate from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library in California. This is is part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s birth.
There are 8 declared candidates participating in this debate:
1. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann = who will one day be Speaker of the House
2. Hermann Cain = who would make a great Treasury Secretary and should run for Governor somewhere in 2012, because he would be excellent
3. Governor Rick Perry = who will be the nominee unless Governor Sarah Palin enters the race (hint: she will, quite possibly Friday 9/16/11 — Constitution Day, observed).
4. Newt Gingrich = who is only in this race until the day he qualifies for matching funds to pay off his debts (in another month or so, I believe…this is also really good for his book sales and speakers’ fees)
5. Dr. Ron Paul = who would make a great Chairman of the Federal Reserve
6. Rick Santorum = who would make a great Secretary of Education, if his pledge would be to shut the entire agency down two or three months into assuming his duties in the Palin administration
7. Jon Huntsman = an odd looking and sounding-man very wealthy man whom Democrats are positioning to be a Ross Perot-inspired spoiler that will be held in reserve in case the Left and Cocktail Party GOP establishment fail to make Mittens “Mood Ring” Romney the nominee and need Huntsman to spoil the race with a vainglorious independent candidacy
8. Mittens “Mood Ring” Romney = who would make a great Ambassador to Luxembourg or character on Sesame Street and who is being pushed by the Cocktail Party GOP establishment and the Left as the “it’s his turn!” and “but he’s wanted to be president since the 1970s candidate!”
What follows below is a live-blog transcript of the debate, with me trying to keep an open mind about all of these people. It’s clear from the above what I think of these 8 people right here, right now. I’m watching this debate here in Boystown, Chicago with my boyfriend Justin, who knows absolutely nothing about any of the candidates except Bachmann, Paul, and Mittens. So, you’ve got a focus group of two conservative gay guys to see if any candidate sways at least two opinions tonight.
Let’s get started….(if you are reading this before Thursday 9/8/11, while the transcript is still being typed, keep checking back until it is finished. I have this posted live on the site just to give people the info as fast as I’ve typed it…so pardon the dust until I’ve completed the whole thing. This stuff usually takes me a few hours to make pretty and include links, pictures, and other material. I’m working as fast as I can and want you to have all the info you need if you were unable to watch this important debate for yourself without a TV).

LIVE BLOG TRANSCRIPT:
659pm : Waiting for the debate to start. If you want to watch it too, here’s a link to an archived copy at MSNBC. You can read along with the live feed if you want. I am hoping nobody plagiarizes this transcript today like they did with the one I typed for Sarah Palin’s speech on Monday. If you want to link to our work here, please do because it’s meant as a resource for you, but just respect the fact I spent about six hours of my unpaid free time doing this for you, so don’t steal the work without attribution.
702pm: I just need to say how strange it is for me to watch anything on MSDNC. And how totally not a typo that was. I stopped watching this “network” in February 2008, when Tim Russert, Chris Matthews, and Keith Olbermann shamelessly used the twin clubs of sexism and misogyny to hammer Hillary Clinton to “shut up, go home, and get out of Obama’s way”. These three little piggies (in Russert’s case, not so much with the little) often referred to Hillary as a witch, and weaved strange, almost sexual fantasies of Obama assuming the role of Dorothy to douse her in water and dispense with her forever. The fact that Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton kept winning primary after primary, even refusing to end a campaign event in Pittsburgh one night in a thunderstorm where she defiantly campaigned in the pouring rain, made fools of MSDNC and ultimately forced the DNC part of this entity to steal delegates from Clinton at the Rules & Bylaws Committee Meeting May 31st, 2008…because Obama couldn’t win the nomination without this slight of hand, despite all the help MSDNC gave him for over a full year. Chris Matthews, shortly after Obama’s election, told viewers it was MSDNC’s duty to ensure Obama’s success and re-election.
All of this is important because we are watching a debate that is hosted by what is essentially the propaganda supplier for the Democrat Party, and the Left that controls it. Why do Republicans allow the media — and in particular MSDNC — the ability to play such a large hand in selecting the candidates the GOP will run against Democrats? A real-life, workplace analogy to this is like asking the person who hates you on the job to complete your peer performance review, and then your forever being surprised by scoring the lowest in the company and being passed over for promotions. Yet, every year, you let your nemesis evaluate you. This is not you being noble. This is you being stupid. And you deserve what you get!
Justin couldn’t believe that’s really Ronald Reagan’s Air Force One suspended from the ceiling of the Reagan Library. In November, we’ve been invited to help with an Operation Gratitude event in California, and if we can make the trip we’re going to definitely try to visit this place in person. How incredible is this Library? Amazing. And, something tells me they probably sell red white and blue Jelly Bellies in the gift shop (Reagan’s favorite gift to friends and foes alike…though in 2011, I wonder if the foes would get a few Every Flavor beans tossed in, just for fun).
I’m a child of the 80s, so Ronald and Nancy Reagan are two people I never appreciated as a child, growing up a Democrat in Cleveland. My family was Jacksonian, conservative Democrats — and I was never a “liberal” — so I only identified as Republican for the first time in 2008, when Obama took over the party with the help of Howard Dean and Donna Brazile and the lot of them lurched the party to the far Left, expelling the Jacksonian/Clintonians like me and millions of other “bitter, guns-and-religion-clinging Midwesterners”. Justin grew up Republican in Arkansas, so it’s interesting to sit here watching this debate with me. I note all this because I’m still sometimes culturally surprised by the behavior of conservatives….and how seldom Republicans see through the obvious (to me) tricks a network like MSDNC pulls in service to the Left.
Take Brian Williams for instance. His job here tonight is not to moderate a debate fairly. No. His job is to attack whomever the Left feels is the biggest threat to Obama. Since Governor Sarah Palin is not at the debate and has not declared her candidacy yet, Williams is pretending she’s not running and is instead attacking Rick Perry tonight. Meanwhile, Williams and the others asking questions tonight are going to do their best to make Mittens “Mood Ring” Romney look good, since this is what MSDNC does. The agenda-driven media did this in 1996 when it pushed Bob “it’s his turn!” Dole for the Republican nomination because it was obvious he would lose Bill Clinton. In 2000, the agenda-driven media miscalculated when it pushed George W. Bush, because it thought he’d lose to Al Gore. It then had to wait until 2008 to push John “it’s his turn!” McCain so he could lose to Obama in the general election. Now, four years later, Brian Williams and the rest of the agenda-driven media have been ordered to push Mittens “Mood Ring” Romney because “it’s his turn!”.
If you don’t see this, you need more than a transcript in front of you. You need an eye chart and a good doctor.
Another act of plagiarism: JeffHead.com steals our transcript of Governor Palin’s New Hampshire speech without attribution UPDATED: JeffHead removes content, sends original post down memory hole, and offers no apology on his site for his actions. UPDATE #2: Jeff Head eventually apologized!
I find it particularly irksome that a site claiming to support the Tea Party would steal a transcript I spent two hours typing up — and claim THEY created it instead. They even got credit from Conservatives4Palin.com for the transcript, instead of the credit that should have been given to HillBuzz.org for me preparing it for this site.
I have never encountered plagiarism like this, until a day ago when this happened with another supposed Tea Party supporting site that stole a 7,000 word essay I wrote on this same speech by Governor Palin in New Hampshire. It must be something about either this speech or New Hampshire that makes people want to plagiarize.
Let’s take a look at the plagiarism here, because I think this needs to be called out and stopped:
Here is my original post from 9/5/11 with the transcript I prepared of the Governor’s speech. I also added some humor bits and my analysis of the speech throughout the transcript, as I always do with these things:
Now, here’s the link to the JeffHead.com post where they plagiarized my work:
http://www.jeffhead.com/palin/palin-laborday-2011trans.htm
JeffHead.com deleted my name, the HillBuzz identifying paragraphs, and also removed my humor bits and the notes I added with speech analysis.
But he kept the transcript I wrote out — 2 hours of work — and posted it on his site making people think he sat there at his computer doing this transcript.
If you have ever been a transcriptionist, it’s not a lot of fun. It takes a long time to get the wording right. I listened to the speech many times to do this, and spent a lot of time making sure I got the Governor’s speech down as perfectly as possible.
I’m going to continue to transcribe as many things as I can throughout the 2012 campaign, because I think they are useful to people, but I don’t think sites like JeffHead.com should plagiarize this work and post it on their sites as if they did this themselves.
HillBuzz.org is a volunteer, unpaid effort that takes up all of my spare time. I spend at least 10 hours a day researching and writing for the site. That’s in addition to working the jobs that pay the bills. When I do a transcript like this New Hampshire one, it means sacrificing even more of my time doing something that is difficult and not very much fun, because I think it’s important that people can have access to it.
And then, JeffHead.com goes and steals it, and gets credit for writing something the people there did not actually in fact write.
Here’s Ian Lazeran over at C4P giving JeffHead.com credit for the 2 hours of work I put in doing this transcript.
Am I wrong to be so steamed over a Tea Party site plagiarizing another site’s work?
I am forever calling out the Left for doing things that are hypocritical, so I find it hard to not call out JeffHead.com for stealing my work without credit…and also call out Ian Lazeran over at C4P for not noting that JeffHead.com stole my work.
I love C4P and always will, and give Ian the benefit of the doubt that he didn’t know the transcript was stolen…but Ian hasn’t corrected the post to reflect this plagiarism issue either.
It’s an interesting issue with a transcript being plagiarized though, since it’s a written record of a speech Governor Palin gave. I consider it plagiarism since I typed it out in the format I designed, I decided where the punctuation should be and I divided it up as I thought it should be divided. So it’s the Governor’s words, but recorded by me for publication here at HillBuzz.org as I heard them, with my emphasis on what was important enough to be bolded etc.
Does anyone know if a transcript would thus qualify as intellectual property?

UPDATE: 430pm CST 9/7/11
A few of my good friends wrote to Jeff Head at JeffHead.com on my behalf about this plagiarism issue.
Jeff Head is the author of several books, apparently. Which means he is a writer. This also means he has a working knowledge of copyright. He’s also been running his site for some time.
Jeff has agreed to update his post to reflect the origin of the transcript that he posted without any attribution, despite the fact he should have known better before he did that.
Jeff claims he didn’t know where the transcript came from and that someone sent it to him in an email.
We get a lot of things sent to us via email here at HillBuzz.org. On a handful of occasions, I’ve copied and posted some of them onto posts here on HB. EACH AND EVERY TIME, I have started the post off by saying, “Here’s something that popped into our in-box today” or “There’s an email going around with the following”.
Jeff Head didn’t do this, and instead just posted the transcript without noting he got the content from an email.
This made Ian Lazaren at C4P believe Jeff Head compiled the transcript, and Ian gave Jeff the undeserved author credit because of it.
Jeff Head should know better.
We accept Jeff’s apology but have no way of knowing if he really indeed got the transcript in an email of if he just yoinked it. Since he didn’t bother to even note he got it in an email, I don’t know what to think of his claim that he didn’t snag this from HB directly.
Jeff also complained about our friends writing to him and calling him out on this unprofessionalism.
My friends reminded Jeff that anyone who takes someone else’s work and posts it without making it clear he didn’t write it is getting a benefit for another’s labor without even so much as a thank-you.
One friend asked Jeff Head what Ayn Rand would think of this and how it fits into the Tea Party movement’s philosophy.
Lesson of the day: If you get something in an email, and you decide to copy and paste it onto your site, make sure you note that you did not in fact create this work product…but that you got it unattributed in an email.
***********************************************************************
UPDATE: 445pm CST
Many thanks to Ian Lazaren at C4P for correcting his post as soon as he was humanly able to.
I truly believe Ian had no idea what Jeff Head had done and Ian thought Jeff had actually created the transcription himself. So there’s no apology necessary from Ian or C4P since this was not done deliberately by him, and in fact Ian thought he was giving proper credit to the source he found the transcript at.
Jeff Head is another story all together.
We are STILL waiting for him to properly attribute work product he did not create, but posted any way with no disclaimer that this was not in fact written by him.
How long do you think it will take Jeff Head to correct his posting?
*********************************************************************
UPDATE: 538pm CST
Jeff Head changed the post on his site so that HillBuzz.org is now credited for the transcript, but he does not issue any sort of apology for his behavior.
Instead, Jeff cleared away the old post and pretends it never happened on his site.
But, without an apology for doing this in the first place.
Several good friends have been corresponding with Jeff over this matter and most believe his claim that he didn’t mean to cause harm here. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt on this, but I still don’t understand why anyone would copy something that long out of an email and just post it on his site without specifically telling people he found it in an email and it wasn’t something he himself wrote.
I just can’t imagine ever doing that to someone.
Jeff also complained via email that he didn’t like being called out here on HB for posting something he claims he found in an email without noting he did not write it.
Instead, he just erased what he did and posted a new version linked to us, pretending the mistake never happened.
Without a written apology.
Since someone asked in comments what sort of apology someone like Jeff Head should write, here is the apology that he SHOULD give, which does not include any complaints against us for calling him out on his behavior.
THE APOLOGY JEFF HEAD SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN – BUT DIDN’T:
It was brought to my attention that I may have inadvertently created a public perception that I authored the transcript of Governor Sarah Palin’s September 5th, 2011 speech in Manchester, New Hampshire that I posted on my site, www.JeffHead.com, without attribution to outside sources. I apologize for this mistake and take full responsibility for my actions.
This all resulted from an email I received containing the transcript. I did not know you were the original authors because your site’s name was not included in the email I received. I erred in not noting on my site that I obtained this in an email, and this mistake is what led C4P’s Ian Lazaren to miscredit me as the author.
I will take better precautions to ensure this does not happen again in the future and will never again copy and paste content from an email into a post on my site www.JeffHead.com without either citing the source or making it clear this was not my work product and was instead something found in an email I received.
I regret any inconvenience or harm this may have caused you and hope we can put this matter aside and cooperate together for the good of the country.
Thank you for your understanding and please accept my sincere apology. I will never do this again.
That is what WE would have sent Jeff Head if the roles were reversed and I had posted something written by him that someone sent me in email without noting that I didn’t write it, but that it came from email.
I now consider the matter resolved, however, and thank everyone who wrote to Jeff Head and C4P to clear this up.
I am very disappointed in Jeff Head though. I would gladly accept an apology if one was offered on his site, but I guess we’ll just have to settle for the apology we had to write for him.
Tomorrow we start implementing new ways to foil plagiarism so this happens less going forward.
*******************************************************************
UPDATE: 615pm
Jeff Head eventually apologized.
After we wrote a sample apology for him.
But, better late than never!
This matter is now resolved with no hard feelings.
I hope we can work with Jeff Head in the future on something to help the Tea Party or Governor Palin and I look forward to reading and writing a review of Jeff’s book, which I have heard great things about.
Expect accurate and copious citations when I write it, too.
An Open Letter to Sarah Palin Asking Her to Save America from the Cocktail Party and the Leftists it Enables
Governor Sarah Palin
1140 W. Parks Highway
Wasilla, Alaska 99654
September 7th, 2011
Dear Governor Palin,
No one has a right to ask you to put yourself and your family through the rigors of another national political campaign. Because of your determined willingness to speak truth to power and confront the uncomfortable realities of the grave dangers facing our country, you have been targeted for abuse from every conceivable side.
Clearly, your millions of supporters well know the litany of horrors the Left has subjected you to — while the Cocktail Party GOP establishment types sat idly by, observing with fetishistic interest but never joining the fray as your allies because the permanent political class knows you are as much of an existential threat to them as you are to Barack Obama’s re-election bid and the Left’s continued dominance of this country.
You have been demonized these past three years as the latest in a long line of conservative boogeywomen because the Left’s survival depends largely on preventing all Americans from voting in their own economic best interests. The Democrat Party is a Jenga tower balanced precariously atop an assemblage of identity-based voting blocs that topples if the Left doesn’t focus emotional and irrational hatred upon a fixed target of the Left’s choosing. You are that current target, because you dare to be a successful, outspoken, politically active, accomplished, wife and mother who pursued her dreams in life and attained professional and personal satisfaction on a path you forged on your own, heeding none of the Left’s directives for women. You did it all your way, on your terms, with no thank-you cards warranted to Gloria Steinem.
The Left hates you because you inspire millions of Americans to follow your example, which threatens the Democrats’ precious and precarious Jenga tower. The Cocktail Party establishment types despise you because you seek to end the status quo and advocate proactive solutions to longstanding problems. The agenda-driven media hates you not just because you threaten the Left, but because lazy journalists enjoy covering the same wedge issues and consistent crises and can’t imagine living in a world where someone like you would get things done, move the country forward, and rattle the status quo.
You are surrounded by enemies Governor, but you’d be surprised by the ever-growing number of friends you really have in the ranks of regular Americans who have waited decades for someone of your caliber to emerge as our champion. Right when we need you the most.
I was a Democrat for the first 30-some odd years of my life, until Barack Obama’s campaign — and the voter fraud, intimidation, race-baiting, and other thuggery his supporters engaged in throughout 2008 — forced me to realize just how dependent Democrats are on hatred and bullying and how much the Cocktail Party GOP establishment allows all of this to happen (so these guys can stay in the good graces of the media, so desperate they forever are for the Left’s love and affection).
I worked for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, because I believed she would have made an excellent President in 2008. Since even former Vice President Dick Cheney has now said as much — acknowledging she’s one of the sole grown-ups at the table in the Obama administration — and you’ve shown great respect for the tenacity of Secretary Clinton’s epic primary contest with candidate Obama three years ago, I think you need to know that a gay guy like me here in Chicago who broke completely from the Democrat Party because of its horrific Alinsky Methods-treatment of Secretary Clinton has long recognized the exact same playbook used against you.
Since your debut on the national political scene, I have watched the agenda-driven media and all of the various Democrat Party-controlled goon squads malign, berate, degrade, and menace you. Just as they were ordered to do to Secretary Clinton, back in 2008, when she was a threat to the Left’s plan (conceived in 2004, if not even sooner) to install Barack Obama as our president (to then subject us to everything the Obama acolytes have done to our country ever since, in this “The Golden Age of Hopeychange”).
Governor Palin, it’s deja vu for me all over again because — almost word for word — the exact same attacks being aimed at you to prevent your presidential campaign in 2012 were deployed against Secretary Clinton in 2008, because she, too, stood in the way of what the Left wanted to do to this country with Barack Obama as its tool (or, fool, to be more precise) in the White House.
The exact same people in our national media, in fact, are saying “it’s time for Sarah Palin to shut up and go away” who kept insisting “it’s time for Hillary Clinton to shut up and go away” back in 2008. Though the two of you obviously have many differences, the common element between you is the enormous threat you pose to Barack Obama and the Left’s plans for his presidency (Secretary Clinton blocked his clear path to the nomination, while you’re his biggest obstacle to re-election).
I’m afraid the bad feelings many of your supporters have about Secretary Clinton prevent many from seeing just how recycled and manufactured all of the current attacks on you are.
It’s like a high school drama class finding a box of old scripts and putting on an amateur hour production of a terrible musical heard shrieking on Broadway three years ago. If people listened to what the media, and the Left it directs (not to mention the Cocktail Party GOP establishment that enables all of the above), did to conjure attacks on truth tellers from the Alinksy spell book in 2008, they’d have a better picture of just how fabricated the attacks on you really are here in 2011.
You and your staff have clearly learned a lot from Secretary Clinton’s failed presidential campaign. So far, you have avoided all of the major mistakes our team made in battling the triple threat of the Left, the permanent political class, and the agenda-driven media. The decision is 100% yours and your family’s whether you indeed plan to run for president, but I am one of millions who hope you do enter the race this month. I truly believe you’re being called to duty at the moment America needs a champion most.
You are our American Artemis, when we need an epic hero more than ever.
Governor Palin, every weaponized Alinsky tactic imaginable is being hurled at you, from all sides, because there has never in my memory been anyone who is as much of a threat to the Left and the permanent political class, with as much of a natural ability to get people off their couches and use their individual talents to get our country on the right track again.
I have never heard anyone — including Secretary Clinton — say out loud that one of the greatest problems we face in America is the permanent political class. I call it the Cocktail Party because in my experience the career consultants and aristocratic officials in the highest echelons of the GOP ranks, in particular, will allow the Left to do just about anything to protect their own self interests and guarantee the invitations to high profile, lavish cocktail parties continue uninterrupted in perpetuity.
When you talk about the permanent political class at Tea Party rallies or write about it in your statements on Facebook, you draw attention to the fact that for America to really prosper again it’s time to rollback the influence the shadowy, unelected, men behind the curtains have on this country in BOTH the Democrat and the Republican parties.
You are the first person on the national political scene to ever call the Cocktail Party out like this (even though you call it the permanent political class), because you are the first person to have absolutely no fear of the reprisals you receive for this selfless truth telling defiance.
I want you to know that I appreciate this bravery more than I could ever say, because while I’ve been a conservative my whole life I never felt I could ever call myself a Republican — since “Republican” to me has always meant being one of these Cocktail Party enablers who cave into the Left at every turn, to further their own careers and guarantee them flattering magazine covers celebrating “bipartisanship”. The Democrat Party left me, and all the Jacksonian conservative Democrats like me, in the summer of 2008 when it veered radically to the Left, expelling conservative and moderate Democrats as no longer needed. I would never have ultimately labeled myself a Republican — like I am proudly now — if you didn’t put an (R) after your name as well, giving me hope there’s more to the party than what the Cocktail Party’s been representing.
I admire you immensely because you do what you know to be right, despite the consequences you suffer professionally and personally as a result. You are a true leader amongst an assemblage of cowards, ditherers, and toadies. You are simultaneously a great hope for our future while reminding me of the best in this country’s past.
I remember one of the nuns who taught me in school telling our class about George Washington, retired from the military, being called upon to run for the presidency because his leadership was needed. Sr. Francis Borgia stood in front of the blackboard and made us think about the enormity of what people clamored for Washington to do; he had to give up his privacy, his peace of mind, his much-deserved freedom, and subject his family and close friends to all the strain inherent in running for the highest office in the land (with the added burdens heaped upon them all when he’d take that office and serve his country yet again). I recall being nine or ten years old, not being able to imagine an America without George Washington as president, or America as we know it even existing itself if Washington didn’t answer his call to duty and put everything on the line to provide the leadership people needed in a time of profound crisis.
At 34, today I wish I knew what the future holds for you, Governor Palin. I hosted a marathon viewing of your “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” series on Labor Day, with friends and family who spent nine hours with me wishing you and your family lived in the White House now. Even those who weren’t supporters of yours before watching the series admitted things would be better with you at the national helm. A woman who can pilot the family’s fishing boat, provide food for a large brood with her own bare hands, and still navigate the treacherous rapids of public life is a rare hero in our modern world. Your talents are both unique and resounding. You stand head and shoulders above those who malign and seek to marginalize you. For this, the Left endeavors to destroy you while the Cocktail Party establishment in your own party plots aggressively to prevent you from removing their power and influence.
It’s no wonder George Washington was reticent towards subjecting himself to the demands of the presidency himself, after seeing so much war firsthand. Why would he want to put himself through all that again in the highest elected office? I’m sure you’ve asked yourself similar questions more times than you’ve counted.
In recent days, I’ve observed a flood of assaults on you in the agenda-driven media, originating in both the Leftist and Cocktail Party establishment ranks, demanding you renounce any presidential ambitions, shut up, dismiss your supporters, and exile yourself to Alaskan obscurity.
I rarely mail letters to anyone anymore, but I’m printing this one out and sending it to the address I have for you because I want to put on paper my request for you to run for president, in your own way, with a campaign of your own invention. I hope I am one of millions who write to you this week asking you to run for president and save America from both the Left and the permanent political class that enables it.
I think back to my days in history class, when Sister Francis Borgia asked all her students if we would have joined the chorus of voices urging retired General George Washington to serve as a leader again, despite all it would cost him. Since the call for him to return to duty was so obviously needed, I know I would have written to him asking him to serve his country once again.
That’s why I’m writing to you today, Governor Palin, because America so desperately needs you.
I will always respect whatever decision you ultimately make — and the decision should be yours and your family’s alone — but I’d regret it forever if I didn’t take this opportunity to humbly ask the greatest leader on our national political scene to mount an unconventional, electric, and Tea Party-supporting campaign that seeks to decimate the Left and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment while humiliating the agenda-driven media for its ignorance, bias, and consistent stupidity.
You are the President we need at the moment we need a leader like you the most — and I am just one of many millions who know the grace of God and love of country will guide you in making the right decision for us all.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and continued service of your country.
Kevin DuJan
Chicago, Illinois
PS: Please choose Congressman Allen West for your Vice President. He is a future President himself, and between the two of you America would have a full 16 years to decimate the Left and eliminate the Cocktail Party forever.
The amazingly incompetent Debbie Wasserman Schultz
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2d2Qz3XTtKI
Debbie Wasserman Schultz is so incompetent that words can not begin to describe her performance. The only thing she is able to do is parrot the same old DNC tag-line…”we need to focus on continuing to get this economy turned around and focus on job creation.” Really? Her response to Hoffa’s use of threatening language is to focus on the economy? Gretchen just gives it to her and never lets up. The look on DWS’s face is one of pure fluster. She has a hard time looking at the camera and blinks her eyes at least a thousand times a minute. She is way out of her league with Gretchen.
DWS is probably the perfect DNC Chair for Obama. He and his White House thugs can control her like a puppet. She wouldn’t know an original idea if it slapped her in the face and she has about as much spunk and pizazz as a dead fish.
This woman really annoys me.
How about you?
(and that Hoffa fella is one scary dude. He needs to cut back on his caffeine.)
HillBuzz on the Radio: The Fireside Room with Dick & Mary Ervasti today at 900am in Minneapolis
This morning I’m guesting on “The Fireside Room with Dick & Mary Ervasti” in Minneapolis.
The Ervastis are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and they are so committed to doing good in their community. Mary, in particular, is a real blessing to this world and really inspires me. When I was sick earlier this summer, she took time out of her busy day to call me and pray with me on the phone and I just can’t tell you how much that meant to me, to have someone so important care that much about someone she barely knows. I just think the world of her.
Today’s topic is going to be drawing attention to the attacks an element of the gay community deliberately makes on conservatives and Christians. I call these people the Gaystapo, because they serve as the Left’s bullies and goon squad. The Gaystapo’s marching orders are to berate, demean, degrade, and bully Republican women in particular. Their favorite targets are, in order, Governor Sarah Palin, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, columnist Ann Coulter, and Governor Jan Brewer. Other women the Gaystapo target occasionally include former First Ladies Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, and Nancy Reagan, Secretary Condoleezza Rice, columnist Michelle Malkin, activist Regan Giles, and other women associated with conservatism.
The Left uses the Gaystapo to attack women, since the Cocktail Party GOP establishment, the “permanent political class” that Governor Palin has been warning Americans about lately, has always been too afraid to call gays out on their bad, bullying behavior.
It’s time this stopped, and gay bullies were called out for what they’ve been doing to conservative, Christian women for decades.
If you can’t listen to the “Fireside Room with Dick & Mary Ervasti” live today, they have all of their shows archived very quickly and you can listen to today’s show by finding it as the Sep 07, 2011 Show when it’s posted on their site.
I think you would get a lot out of listening to the Fireside Room. Aside from Andrea Shea King’s Show, this is my favorite show to ever tape because the Ervastis, like Andrea, mean so much to me on a personal level.

2008 – The US Government takes control of the two largest mortgage financing companies in the US, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. I swear, I used to think that “Fannie Mae” and “Freddie Mac” were people – like Tammy Faye and Jim J., who had a talk show I used to like. At the very least I thought they were McDonalds characters. Here, they were just the two biggest reasons millions of people are unemployed now. Thank you, Democrats.
1988 – Abdul Ahad Mohmand, the first Afghan in space, returns aboard the Soviet spacecraft Soyuz TM-5 after 9 days on the Mir space station. I sometimes wonder how my down comforter would fare in space. It’s so fluffy and soft here on Earth. I bought it at Ikea, for like $20. Since it’s so cold on spacecraft, they should have lots of afghans on every mission to stay toasty.
1986 – Desmond Tutu becomes the first black man to lead the Anglican Church in South Africa. Meanwhile, somewhere in Detroit, a little boy named Desmond wears a tutu and becomes the fastest runner in his school avoiding bullies because of it. Fabulous!
1979 – The Chrysler Corporation asks the United States government for USD $1.5 billion to avoid bankruptcy. Meanwhile, union members are still crying because they make only $150,000 a year, their kids’ college educations are paid for, and they get all sorts of lavish vacations and other benefits…all for pulling levers and screwing in bolts. Remind me again why I got a Master’s in city planning and am still working as a bartender/waiter?
1979 – The Entertainment and Sports Programming Network, better known as ESPN, makes its debut. I swear, I once thought this was the psychic friends network everyone talks about. The ESPN network. This is also probably why I am still working as a bartender/waiter.
What are people talking about in your part of the country?
Don’t forget to watch the GOP debate tonight!
