Many in EU want to end “borderless” Europe in hopes of stopping the virus known as Islam.
Many in the European Union want to reimpose passport controls on their borders in order to stop the viral wave of Islamic immigration to their countries. Back in 1985, the Schengen Agreement was signed by 22 countries in hopes of making a free and open Europe that would be better for businesses by making travel and trade much easier. Now that dream has turned into a nightmare due to the onslaught of illegal Islamic immigrants that have infested much of Europe. The new restrictions would require everyone to show passports before entering a new country. The new stricter policy was introduced by France and Italy who have been 2 of the hardest hit by the Islamic wave. They also want to reinstate the “readmission accords” with countries in the Middle East and North Africa that would make it easier to send illegal immigrants back to their home countries.
The new changes will have to be voted on by the European Parliament so we’ll have to see how serious they are about ending the freedom- killing disease known as Islam.
It’s at least a step in the right direction.
I hope it’s not to late to save Europe.

If you notice the site moving slowly (or not loading at all), our apologies. Yesterday at about 7:00 a.m. we started getting server errors, and we’re still working to determine the cause. Our apologies for the inconvenience!
And here’s today’s Open Thread, with the lesson of the day:
“How to Tell When A Leftist is Lying, or John Stossel Confronts Sleazy Pigford Lawyer.”
Kevin DuJan has posted a number of exposés of the Pigford black farmer reparations scam originally dragged into the sunlight by Big Government’s Andrew Breitbart.
In this clip, from John Stossel’s show on Fox News, you can see what happens when a corrupt Leftist cannot defend his position with facts or reason (because the fact is, he’s a corrupt Leftist and what he’s doing is despicable, selfish and perverse, if not actually illegal.)
Pay attention to the lawyer’s tone, body language and the insults he hurls at Breitbart, not one of which is in any way related to the substantive charges Brieitbart makes. Watch for these tactics when you see Leftists confronted with their own records by the media (hey…it could happen.) When you see a Leftist start to sputter, you know you’re getting close to the truth.
Poll: Only 19% of Americans Favor Debt Ceiling Increase
Currently, the Federal government borrows 43 cents of every dollar it spends. According to a random sample of 1,018 adults living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, only one in five Americans are in favor of Congress raising the federal debt ceiling, allowing the United States to borrow even more money. The poll has a margin of error of ±4 percentage points.
A Gallup poll released Friday reveals that only 8% of Republicans, 33% of Democrats and 46% 15% of Independents polled favor raising the debt ceiling. Which means that every politician who votes for it is poking his or her constituents in the eye.
According to Gallup,
The May 5-8 Gallup poll suggests that a vote in favor of raising the debt ceiling could be a difficult one for many members of Congress, particularly for Republicans. …
By a 47% to 19% margin, Americans say they would want their member of Congress to vote against raising the U.S. debt ceiling, while 34% don’t know enough to say. Republicans oppose raising the debt ceiling by 70% to 8% and independents by 46% to 15%. Democrats favor raising the ceiling by 33% to 26%.
So, Hillbuzz readers, how do you feel about the debt ceiling debate? Take our unscientific poll and tell us what you think!

Sharia law’s literal interpretation of an eye for an eye
One day back in 2004, Ameneh Bahrami was on her way home from work when she encountered Majid Movahedi, a former love interest. Ameneh had just recently turned down a marriage proposal from Movahedi and had broken off the relationship. She noticed that he was holding a red jar and as he approached, he gazed into her eyes for several seconds. That was the last thing Ameneh would ever see because Movahedi proceeded to throw the acid that was in the jar in her face…blinding and disfiguring her for life.
Last week, an Iranian court ordered the application of “an eye for an eye” justice. The victim had specifically asked for this type of justice before the court issued punishment for Movahedi’s crime. The best part? Ameneh gets to be the one to drop the same acid into Movahedi’s eyes that he used to blind her. His blinding will be a little more humane because the courts have ordered him to be rendered unconscious (in a hospital) before Ameneh drops the acid into his eyes.
I love this story. I really really love this story. I feel a little evil being so gleeful that someone will have acid dropped in their eyes but in this case…it’s justice served. This is the first time ever that I have agreed with Sharia law. Most of the time, women get the short end of the stick with Sharia law but not this time. I hope this becomes a precedent.
Go Ameneh Go!
UPDATE: I just posted this story and already I have an update to it. Amnesty International has stepped in and is calling for the sentence to be thrown out. Iran has decided to postpone the “blinding”. Since when does Iran (or anyone in the Islamic world) listen to Amnesty International?

The big political news Saturday? Baptist preacher-turned-governor-turned-conservative media mogul Mike Huckabee declined to enter the race for the GOP nomination.
The New York Times is reporting that “sources” say this makes it more likely for Michelle Bachmann to enter the race.
What’s making news in your part of the world? What do you think of Huckabe’s decision?
Sarah Palin vs Cocktail Party GOP
I’m not a visual person by nature. But sometimes, a picture — or in this case, a viral spoof video produced for Gatorade — really is worth 1,000 words.
Better than anything I’ve ever seen, this video illustrates the differences between Sarah Palin (played by the Ball Girl) and the Cocktail Party (played by the outfielder).
Sarah’s stunt double in the video has everything the GOP doesn’t.
Hustle. Pride. Determination. Courage.
And that leads to another thing the Cocktail Party can’t deliver:
RESULTS.
And the byproduct of results–a stadium full of cheering fans.
With the economy circling the drain, $5.00/gallon gas on the horizon, and a White House occupant who thinks border security is a joke, the 2012 election should be a shoe-in for the non-incumbent party. And it will be…as long as the party planners bosses in the GOP don’t act like the outfielder in this video. (Clearly, it was “his turn” to catch the ball.)
Beware…big brother could be lurking in school cafeterias
No more closet eating if you attend elementary school in San Antonio, Texas. High tech camera’s are being installed in 5 elementary schools that will take pictures of what children are putting on their plates. It’s part of a $2 million dollar project aimed at making parents aware of what their kids are eating at school. At least that’s the explanation that the San Antonio-based Social & Health Research Center gives but who knows how the information will really be used.
Here’s how the program works….if the parent gives consent, their child will have a special tray that has a unique barcode on it. A camera is placed above the check out register that will take a picture of that tray. Another camera is placed above the tray return and it will take a picture of the tray when the child has finished. So….the child’s plate is recorded at the beginning of lunch and then again when they have finished. Someone ( a nutrition expert, I guess) analyzes the food on the plate before and then after and they will calculate how many calories the child consumed. A report is then sent to the parents so they can be aware of what their kid is eating….and how many calories they are consuming. The researchers hope that parents will change their eating habits at home once they know what their kids are choosing to eat at school.
Wow. I really have a problem with this. This could be a scene out of Orwell’s 1984 and it should scare the hell out of all of us. It may seem like this is a small invasion of privacy and the end justifies the means but will it stop here? How else will they use this information? Will it be used when you’re enrolling for health insurance coverage? Will your premiums go up if they find out that your child likes to eat french fries every day? Let’s be real….if a child is restricted to eating only nutritious foods at home (ie. no sugar, no fried foods etc.)…aren’t they going to go hog wild at school and fill up on what they are craving? I know my plate would be filled with the hamburger, french fries and the cookie (2 cookies if they would let me have them).
If this continues….it will be like opening Pandora’s box. What if they put cameras in school bathrooms to make sure children are washing their hands? What if they put cameras on playgrounds to make sure our kids aren’t playing “Red Rover” (because it’s too “violent”). It’s outrageous.
This program has Michelle Obama’s name written all over it. I’m sure it’s inspired by her “Let’s Move” campaign.
I have an idea….”let’s move” Michelle and her family out of the White House in 2012.

So, which cucumber-and-mayo Cocktail Party GOP candidate is the media pushing this week in your neck of the woods?
Zogby Poll: 27% of Republicans will NEVER vote for Mittens Romney
Mitt Romney, the author of Massachusetts’ failed experiment in forcing people to buy health insurance at gunpoint, was scheduled to make a speech today in which he was expected to say that “he was against RomneyCare before and after he was for it,” or something, mainly for the purpose of giving the Lamestream Media sound bites to use to “prove” to Cocktail Party voters that Romney is the presumptive nominee, no one else should bother, “it’s his turn,” etc.
I have not watched his speech. I ate less than half an hour ago, and I don’t want to cramp up.
But I do wonder, how many vats of lipstick will it take to camouflage the pig dubbed Romneycare? Romneycare is so bad that even journalists in Boston are firing arrows into its heart.
Michael Graham noted on April 12, 2011 at BostonHerald.com,
As governor, Mitt Romney accomplished a feat that most Republicans would have thought impossible. With the single stroke of a pen he convinced the liberal population of Massachusetts that they, too, hate government-run health care.
As a health care plan, Romneycare is an unmitigated fiasco. It has caused costs to skyrocket, insurance premiums to soar and nonprofit providers like Blue Cross to suffer hundreds of millions of dollars in losses. …
Billions of dollars spent to accomplish so very little — that’s Romneycare’s legacy, and a glimpse of Obamacare’s future.
Could this be why 27% of Republican primary voters surveyed by IBOPE/Zogby said they would NEVER vote for Mittens Romney?
According to the poll of 1,377 Republican primary voters conducted from May 6-9, Mittens Romney would be the choice of a whopping 9% (that’s nine percent) of respondents, if the Republican primary were held today. (We at Buzzquarters suspect that all of these respondents wear blue blazers and attend cocktail parties on a regular basis.)
Former Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain was the leading choice among declared candidates, with 14% of the vote, followed by Ron Paul with 13%. Interestingly, Chris Christie, kickass governor of New Jersey, won the poll, with 17% of the vote…but he’s not running, and says he won’t get in the race.
The most interesting revelation in this poll? The top three choices of Republican primary voters surveyed (Christie, Cain and Paul) are all take-no-prisoners, “it’s the Economy, Constitution, and Deficit, Stupid!” candidates who tell it like it is, regardless of the political consequences.
The GOP (a.k.a. the Cocktail Party) will not understand this before it’s too late.
And the voters surveyed seem to understand this about the GOP. Although only 9% would vote for Romney, and 27% would NEVER vote for him, 31% of Republican primary voters surveyed believe he will be the nominee, regardless.
