Man who looks just like John McCain decides not to run for President just four years after man who actually is John McCain lost to Obama
Mike Pence has decided not to run for president — preempting what would have been a very confusing campaign for most Americans.
“Is that John McCain?”.
No.
“Is that John McCain’s son?”.
To the best of our knowledge, no.
“Then, why does he look just like John McCain?”.
Why does anyone look like anyone else. Personally, we think he’s going for a George Peppard on “The A-Team” look. Perhaps “serious actor” Leslie Neilson, like in his brief appearance in ‘The Poseidon Adventure”. That’s apt, because running a man who looks just like John McCain four years after the man who actually IS John McCain would have been intensely stupid…a disaster of Shelley Winters trapped underwater proportions.
Of course, the Cocktail Party GOP establishment was pushing for this, but they are in fact intensely stupid so of course they would do that.
Hero vs. Zero…a new way of drawing attention to Obama’s many blunders
The thing we do around here that absolutely drives the Left CRAZIEST is Class vs. Crass, where we highlight Michelle Antoinette Obama’s bad behavior by contrasting it directly (like the old Goofus & Gallant panels in Highlights for Children magazine) with First Spouses who’ve come before her.
From time to time, someone writes in suggesting something Governor Sarah Palin has done to contrast Michelle Antoinette’s behavior, but that comparison isn’t apt. Governor Palin is a former elected official and a future President, not a political spouse like Michelle Antoinette. An accurate comparison would be between the current First Spouse and the former First Dude of Alaska. Governor Palin will only be compared to presidents on this site, not to their wives.
BUT, I think creating a new series called “Hero vs. Zero” in the same spirit of Class vs. Crass would work well…and Governor Palin would be a Hero in that sense (and, before anyone writes in, I know it would technically be “heroine”, but “Hero” can be used gender-neutral just like the word “actor”, and if not then that’s a trend we’ll start).
Can you think of some good examples of things Governor Palin has done that directly contrast with what Obama does in office? I know that’s like standing in a field of wild flowers and being asked to just pick one that’s pretty, but I think seeing these images side by side and noting these facts clearly will have a similar effect on the Left that Class vs. Crass does.
They just get so upset seeing how poorly the Obamas measure up to everyone else who has been in positions similar to them. It’s clear they are both out of their depth, and that they might enjoy the things they get from America, but they don’t in their hearts truly love this country. It’s painfully obvious when they are held up to their predecessors, or their successors in the case of the Palins.
The more things like this we do, the more we undermine any arguments against the Governor in terms of “she’s not qualified” and the like, as we approach 2012.
Creative little images like this are much more likely to be picked up elsewhere and go viral, unlike yet another essay on the topic that few will read outside the current crop of preached-to-the-choir political readers.
For us to make a real impact and affect the Left, we need to find new ways to get these bits of information in front of Average Joes who don’t read political sights.
Do you have some good examples for “Hero vs. Zero” with which we could start?
URGENT ACTION ITEM: Birthday Greetings to Nancy Reagan, organized by Andrea Shea King
URGENT ACTION REQUIRED!
The one and only Andrea Shea King is organizing birthday wishes for former First Lady Nancy Reagan.
Mrs. Reagan is a national treasure.
Please help Andrea with this effort by sending a birthday message to Radiopatriot@gmail.com.
Tell Mrs. Reagan how much you appreciate all she did as First Lady and how much you miss President Reagan.
I have a feeling if anyone can get these messages into Mrs. Reagan’s hands, it’s Andrea Shea King.
So, please take a moment and send something from the heart to Mrs. Reagan.
Just say YES! in this instance.
Governor Palin to headline event honoring Reagan on February 4th…two days before Reagan’s 100th birthday
We’re getting incredibly close to Ronald Reagan’s 100th birthday, which will be February 6th, 2011…SuperBowl Sunday.
This is the day we have long expected Governor Palin to officially pick up Reagan’s mantle…to set her on course to join the poker game above.
Where she belongs.
Governor Palin will be the keynote speaker at an event honoring President Reagan on February 4th.
Very interesting timing.
Almost like she’ll be showing a peak at her hand.
Sarah Palin’s WTF remarks on Obama’s WTF State of the Union
Reason #5,678,934 why this woman is incredible.
Seriously.
Could you ever imagine, in all your life, Mittens Romney speaking as plainly and telling the truth like Governor Palin.
What about the rest of the milquetoast soggy sandwiches the Cocktail Party GOP establishment keeps pushing for the 2012 nomination?
Israel Round Up
Dear HillBuzz,
I know it’s been a while since my last Israel Round Up, but I’m going to try and catch you up on some of the Israel-related issues that I have been thinking about over the past while, and then throw in some general thoughts and links to items that I think are related. This Round Up is a little less about Israel, but includes links that illustrate Israel’s battle-our battle. We are up against a terrible enemy. This is World War IV.
Most of my focus in this Round Up will be on a few main themes such as the sanctity of human life, the great privilege of living in the democratic western world and the beauty of our Judeo-Christian heritage and the sanctity of protecting the lives of the vulnerable among us-the disabled and the elderly and the unborn. I think a lot about the greatness of our culture, and about how lucky Jews are to have Israel, America, Canada and Australia as relatively safe places to live in freedom (I’ve purposely excluded Europe).
As always, feel free to leave any comments or questions in the threads and I will try to address them in a future post, which hopefully I will be able to get back to writing on a more regular basis along with some other project ideas that Kevin and I have on the go!
First of all, I just read this incredibly nutty “security” plan. How deep in denial is it possible to sink? Pretty deep. I guess I should never, ever be surprised by idiocy and by greed or by the abject submissive dhimmitude that is passing for living in the western world.
I’m pretty sick of people being embarrassed to admit publicly that our way of life is better than life in dumps like Pakistan. If you are a girl in Pakistan, you might not even make it out of the womb. Where are the feminists on this issue? Does NOW have a stand on this? What part of the phrase “Islamic misogyny” does the left find incomprehensible? It’s a bad scene. We all know that Europe has a lot of “diversity issues” on its hands, but these battles are here in North America also. Just take a peek over here. There are 2 Islamic “honour” killing trials going on in America this week, one in NY and one in AZ.
Unfortunately, the left doesn’t care about issues-just feelings!
Did you hear about this dude? Honestly, this idiot makes me laugh. Antisemitism poisons the soul. I do not consider this “religious leader” a Christian. This is more my kind of Christian.
There are lots of people in denial, but we are in a war. There is evil around us. But I’m confident that we will prevail.
What do you think?

Obama’s Love Affair With Chairman Mao – by Stella Paul at American Thinker
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2011/01/obamas_love_affair_with_chairm.html
Here’s a great article from Stella Paul about the very same White House that thinks it’s appropriate to have Chairman Mao Christmas ornaments on the official tree and anti-American communist songs playing on a piano during a state dinner.
Meghan McCain?..Seriously?…like OMG…like who would take her seriously?
I just want to state…for the record…that I think Meghan McCain is a 26-year-old bubble-headed nobody that has absolutely NO business speaking about anything…much less about the state of our country. Why on earth does anyone pay attention to anything she says. Well… last night she appeared on Lawrence O’Donnell’s “The Last Word” on MSNBC to discuss her very deep thoughts about Michele Bachmann (among other things). This twit said that Congresswoman Bachmann is not a leader and is a “poor man’s Sarah Palin”. I really do not like this little dimwit….can you tell by now how I feel about Meghan McCain? She describes herself as a “progressive Republican”. A what? She fancies herself a young leader in the Republican Party. OMG…like really Meghan? She is definitely a spawn of the Cocktail Party who enjoys listening to herself bash the Tea Party.
For a great laugh…listen to Glenn Beck (and Stu and Pat) discuss Meghan.
I am usually not a “mean girl” but this little interview she had with O’Donnell last night has raised my blood pressure. She’d better wake up and smell the tea because the Republican party is moving in a new direction… so…. finish up your little “Cocktail”, Ms. McCain, and moveon.org.
The fact that MSNBC has a token “Republican” on to discuss Michele Bachmann and the Tea Party says one thing….
They are scared of 2012.
Very scared.
South Carolina trying to ban Sharia Law
(h/t Jihad Watch)
A new initiative was introduced yesterday in the South Carolina legislature that would ban the enforcement of any foreign law. Supporters of the bill say that the United States has unique values of liberty that don’t exist in foreign legal systems. As I’ve written before, groups such as CAIR and American Muslim Alliance are trying to push Sharia law into the United States. There have been cases here where the court ruled in favor of the defendant because of Sharia law. In New Jersey, a judge found a husband not guilty of sexual assault on his wife…not because he didn’t do it…but because he was acting on his Islamic beliefs. Here is what the judge said…
“This court does not feel that, under the circumstances, that this defendant had a criminal desire to or intent to sexually assault or to sexually contact the plaintiff when he did. The court believes that he was operating under his belief that it is, as the husband, his desire to have sex when and whether he wanted to, was something that was consistent with his practices and it was something that was not prohibited.”
Fortunately, an appellate court overturned this atrocious decision, and a Shariah ruling by a U.S. court was not allowed to stand.
We can’t let Sharia get a foothold into our legal system. We will see how this new initiative progresses in South Carolina. You can bet that CAIR and the other Islamic thug groups will be screaming in protest over this as they did over the Oklahoma anti-Sharia law. I’m sure their bags are packed and their on their way to South Carolina right now. I encourage you to write your state legislators to consider introducing similar anti Sharia initiatives. Sharia won’t be stopped at the federal level (at least not with Eric Holder as the AG) so we need to stop it state by state.
We can not allow Sharia law in America.
Ever.
Obamacare waivers to favored companies and unions now exceed 729, plus four states vital to Democrats
How can Democrats argue Obamacare is any good if so many unions and Democrat-supporting companies have been exempted from it?
On top of that, four entire states vital to Obama’s re-election have been exempted as well.
What’s shaping up here is a scheme where Democrats punish red states, small businesses, and people they don’t like in general by forcing the Obamacare burden on them, essentially making them cover a disproportionately high cost for this nightmare while making sure Democrat loyalists are rewarded for voting Democrat.
Isn’t this how things worked in the Soviet Union?
