President Bush and the Marine Corps Band reminds us the 45th President will, also, respect and love our military. YOU BETCHA.

Posted at January 30, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // 2012 Presidential Campaign, Conservativism, Hillbuzz, Political Figures - The Right, President George W. Bush, Sarah Palin

If we work hard, in two years Obama will be gone and a President who love this country and our military will be in the White House.

Remember that every day that goes by, and ask yourself what YOU can do to help defeat Obama and the Left.

New HillBuzz header for the new site — comments appreciated

Posted at January 30, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Action Items, Activism, Adventures, Blue Team - Research, Boystown, Gold Team - Creativity, Green Team - Fundraising, Hillbuzz, Orange Team - Mysteries, Purple Team - Palin, Red Team - Writing

What do you think of the new header?

The new HillBuzz.org site will launch sometime in February, once we’re able to transfer all the data and archive the three years’ worth of content on the site over to our new dedicated servers.

The content and mission will remain the same, but things will look a little different, with information easier to use.  The main goal of the new site will be to provide better Action Items for regular people to get involved in small ways that will aggregate together to form major headaches for the Left…and to be a user-focused “Choose Your Own Adventure” resource of information and ideas that other conservative sites are not.

I am a huge fan of AnneCoulter.com, MichelleMalkin.com, TammyBruce.com, Redstate.com, RealClearPolitics, and Ace of Spades, but none of these sites are easy to use as resources for information.  They all do a great job keeping tabs on the day’s news and current events, but they aren’t geared towards people who want to get involved and put pressure on both the Left and Cocktail Party GOP establishment that will throw both of them off their game and give Americans the chance to take back our government.

HillBuzz.org is a little site that was founded in February 2008 as a resources and information source for Hillary Clinton’s campaign volunteers here in Chicago — and it evolved into something much more than that as all of us who’ve been part of the site evolved in the years since we started.  The mission’s never changed, though.  It’s always been to be a thorn (or stinger) in the side of those who want to harm America, for whatever reason.  Be they on the Left, or in the GOP go-along-to-get-along Cocktail Party establishment.

I remember the day my friends came to me and pressured me to start up a little Hillary website for our campaign volunteers.  I did not want to do it, because I knew how much time it would take, and I also knew how relentlessly and mercilessly the Obama campaign went after anyone who personally tried to stop him from doing whatever it was he wanted to do to America.  I agreed to lead this effort, which started on Blogspot, and my friend Joaquin set that first bare-bones site up, looking up from the computer to ask me what he should name it.  I told him to call it HillBuzz, and not something with a Hillary 2008 in the title, because if HRC didn’t win the nomination and the presidency and Obama made it to the White House I knew there’d be a lot more work to be done that would carry forward long after the 2008 campaign was over.

I am a very stubborn person who does not like to be told what to do, by anyone, and certainly not by hatemail…so in the two years since the 2008 campaign ended, I’ve resisted changing our masthead banner largely because of all the nasty emails I get demanding I do so.  ”Take Hillary off your site!”. “You shouldn’t have Hillary’s picture up!”.  ”Do this! Do that! Blah Blah!”.

My boyfriend Justin is someone who has an irrational hatred of Hillary Clinton. I just can’t understand that, because HRC has been kinder to me than just about anyone I have ever known.  She is a terrific woman, and during the 2008 campaign I got to know her to some degree, having seen her once a week for a stretch of a few months.  Imagine having that sort of encounter with someone from history you always admired.

So, this site will always have a special place for Hillary Clinton on it, and will always be kind to her and celebrate her many achievements in life.  But HRC is clearly not our primary focus any longer.  In 2012, we will support Governor Sarah Palin for President.  Between now and then, we’ll do our level best to make sure the things that were done to Hillary Clinton in 2008 are not repeated against the Governor’s campaign in 2011 and 2012.  It’s a role we can play, in deja vu, since we’ve been there and done that already.

I have honestly dreaded changing the masthead to one that does not include Hillary Clinton because I know the sort of mocking and abuse it’s going to generate via hatemail.  ”Finally!”. “It’s about time!”.  Etc.  This site, and me personally, are attacked repeatedly in a hundred different ways for speaking up about things as we see them.  The abuse I’ll take because I’ve changed the masthead will be personally tough for me to bear, because it’s not an abandonment of a person I like on a personal level…just a reflection that we’ve moved on since the 2008 campaign and are geared towards the future.

So, I’ve opened this thread for anyone who wants to be cruel and evil about this to do so here, and now, and get it out of your system.  I’m dating a guy, whom I love very much, who just can’t help himself and takes nonstop smacks at HRC every time he sees her picture.  It’s a disease he has.  I love Justin, but he has Hillary Derangement Syndrome and there is just no helping him.  So, I ignore it and keep doing what I am doing.  I know I have to deal with this sort of thing from a lot of people who read this site, and I’ve accepted that.

I want the launch of the new site to be a really positive thing for all of us…and my best attempt to do everything I personally can to create something that could be a useful tool in the battle ahead, between now and 2012.  The last thing I want is for the new site’s debut to be drowned in “You changed the masthead!” nonsense, so I want to get this out of the way today.

The masthead is changing.  It was my decision.  Everyone who wrote hateful emails demanding this change did not win.  You didn’t break me. Instead, it was a natural decision for this moment in time, appreciating the reality that the little Hillary Clinton campaign site based in Boystown has evolved into something more, and this is the end result of that.

So, feel free to chime in on the redesign below.  The site’s new web designer will read this thread, I’m sure, and will take your comments into consideration as we tweak the new site before its launch.  This is an enormous and emotional change for me, and for all of us here behind the scenes at HB, so I hope you like the direction we’re going and understand it’s for the best in terms of how we can most effectively channel our time, energy, and resources towards 2012.

The goal is to defeat the Left and Obama in 2012.  Whether you love HB, love me, or hate us both, that’s what we’re committed to so if that’s what you want, we are on the same side through the next presidential election at least. I love America more than I could ever tell you and will work every day between now and the next election to do all I can to save our country.  I hope you continue that journey with us on our new site just a few weeks away.

ACTION ITEM: Research instances of Muslims destroying cultural artifacts that are older than Islam

Posted at January 30, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Action Items, Blue Team - Research, Hillbuzz, No Pattern Here, Resources - Islam, Unveiling Islam

Blue Team Research

There’s a Maureen Dowd article that appeared in Vanity Fair last year I talk about a lot, and wish I had saved.  It’s one of the most asinine things I’ve ever read, and not just because someone of Dowd’s capabilities wrote it.  The whole thing is a travelogue through the horror show that is Islam, with Dowd constantly making excuses for the terrors she’s witnessing.  The thing reads like a Rick Steves’ trek through Transylvania, as imagined by Bram Stoker, with Steves apologizing for everything Dracula does to people in the countryside, insisting werewolves aren’t so bad, and that various goblins and ghouls have “a rich culture” to be much appreciated…as they munch on your bones and consume your still living body.

One of the segments of Dowd’s Saudi Arabian adventure featured on a trip she wanted to take to see some ancient ruins in the desert, which her Saudi hosts called, “boring old things”.

They didn’t understand why she wanted to go there, because they considered the relics of that ancient civilization to be garbage.

Apparently, this is very common in Islam.  Anything older than the demented ravings of the 7th Century pedophile who founded this militarized ideological cult is considered worthless to these people.

Or, more realistic, seen as a threat to them, because if Islam is to be the dominant force in the world, anything great that came before it must be erased, so Islam doesn’t have to hold itself up to anything better than it.  Which, in truth, is just about everything.

The Afghanistani Buddhas of Bamyan were destroyed by Muslims because they predated Islam and were better than 99% of anything Muslims have ever come up with.  So the Taliban blasted them to smithereens.

It’s long been believed that should Islamic fundamentalists take hold of Egypt, as they are trying to do now, they will blow apart the pyramids and destroy all the pharaohic relics…because these mighty treasures thoroughly eclipse Islam in every imaginable way.

Can you research instances where Islam has actively sought to destroy landmarks, cultural treasures, relics, and buildings in lands it has conquered or hoped to conquer?

I know there is a core facet of Islam that covers this in the Koran…which Muhammad couched in terms of eliminating paganism and subjected all he conquered to his cult.

What is that called in Islam, when Muslims destroy things that predate their cult, or otherwise seek to ruin cultural treasures in other lands so they can be replaced with something Islamic?

Let’s compile a list of these atrocities committed by Islam against our shared world heritage…at a time when there’s grave and real danger Islam could have plans to do this to the wonders of Egypt today.

I have a way to make a lot of noise about this, but I need your help today to get the research to make that piece as strong and well argued as possible.

From a guy who dreamed about becoming an Egyptologist as a kid after seeing Indiana Jones for the first time, this is something very personal and important to me, so I appreciate any time you can spare this Sunday to dig up some great (and well-sourced) examples from history for me.

Oklahoma Ground Report: It’s Carter All Over Again, And Worse Than We Ever Imagined

Posted at January 30, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Ground Reports, Midwest, Political Figures - The Left, President Jimmy Carter, The Left

Dear HillBuzz,

As I sit here and watch the chaos gripping Egypt, I’m struck with many of the similarities of the Carter administration.  I had watched an interview with one of the hostages from Iran recently about Egypt.  They asked him if he saw any similarities?  He stated that it all hinged on whether the entire crowd was for reform.  Or if this was all being led by those in the extreme Islamic faith?  (Muslim Brotherhood)  But what made me pause from what I had just heard was that Israel could quite conceivably be surrounded by her enemies if this outcome drags on?  A story broke in the Telegraph that the US had backed part of the uprising.  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/egypt/8289686/Egypt-protests-Americas-secret-backing-for-rebel-leaders-behind-uprising.html Carter did the same thing against the Shah.  We still pay for that today.  This country cannot afford to spiral into another gas war like those of the ‘70’s.  But the more this carries on and the meddling with this administration, the more I see the nerves and fears that will only drive Egypt into the hands of those that will take full advantage of the moment.  ElBaradei has already proven to be anti-American with his failure to reign in Iran’s nuclear program.  He is looking to position himself as a leader.  This will not end well for us.  Or for that matter Israel.  Obama’s silence on the protests in Iran during the elections should have given us more clues about him and what he believes?  Or it showed his incompetence?  What will become of this?  If he truly is meddling, God help us all on what he may have unleashed.

I have also included a link that may be very profound at the moment.  http://gatewaypundit.rightnetwork.com/2011/01/egypt-is-the-new-iran/ This is beginning to have the look and feel of Carter redux.  Remember; it took a Carter to get a Reagan.  2012 is our chance right now to shape the message for someone we all know, that can get us there and lead us.  The PR game is now in our hands.  The more points and connections that Obama is looking like Carter, the more people will press for another Reagan moment.  The parallels are too dramatic to let slip away.  Sarah Palin has been pressing every time she is on stage, or in front of a camera that this administration will continue to drive our economy into the ditch if we cannot drill on our lands and in our waters.  This is the moment to start the push and force congress to act on behalf of our country and her future.  There is no time to waste.  Oil platforms and rigs are leaving the Gulf of Mexico.  The clock is ticking.

Thanks,

Paula

MOST IMPORTANT ACTION ITEM EVER: Pay attention to how Egyptians are getting around government shutdown of Internet, in case we ever need to do that here if Obama is given the “Internet Kill Switch” he wants so badly

Posted at January 29, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Action Items, Blue Team - Research, Breaking News, Conservativism, Domestic Policy, Featured Content, Hillbuzz, Resources - Conservativism, White House Policy

This is one of the most important things you will ever be asked to do, and it’s something that’s just incomprehensible on so many levels that we would ever be in positions where we would NEED to do this…but you need to start watching the news for whatever clues you can pick up on how Egyptians are circumventing their government’s shutdown of the Internet.

Since he took office, Obama has been jockeying for an “Internet Kill Switch” that would give him the power to turn off the Internet here in the United States one day.  He claims he wants it in case there’s a massive cyber attack.  More likely, he wants it in case he ever wants to silence all opposition to himself and what the Left’s doing to this country.  The entire “net neutrality” kabuki underway with the FCC and “Julius Seizure” only makes sense if you view it as an attempt by the Left to gain the power to shut down the conservative blogosphere and Tea Party movement.

The Left controls the broadcast networks and the majority of the print media, but it cannot control the Internet.  One of the primary goals of the Alinsky methods followers is to control the flow of information, and the Internet is a major obstacle to that for them.

Egypt has shutdown its Internet in the attempt to control its people.  But, Egyptians are getting around this and are communicating anyway.

How are they doing this if the government has shutdown the usual means of communication they all use?

Let’s take notes, see what’s working on the ground there, and then start formulating our own individual plans for what we can do in the event this ever happens here on American soil.

It’s far-fetched and highly unlikely Obama would ever try something like this, but as 2012 approaches and the Left realizes it’s in for another shellacking like in 2010, do we honestly trust these Leftists to surrender power willingly, after only four years, when they spent three decades before that plotting to get back into the White House?

What think you?

Great Merciful Zeus: Looters attempted to raid Egyptian Museum during chaos in Cairo

Posted at January 29, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Featured Content, Great Merciful Zeus, Hillbuzz

Egyptian museum in Cairo is the pink building, besieged by rioters, looters, and revolutionaries

There’s a TV show on SyFy or one of those other networks called “Warehouse 13″, about a massive storehouse of the world’s most interesting and often magical antiquities.  The show’s based on a premise that there was a “warehouse” in every great epoch of history, where treasures were secured from looters and political instability.  Once an empire or nation fell, or was on the verge of collapse, a new “warehouse” would be built in another part of the world, wherever the balance of power shifted.  The current “warehouse” is in the United States, hidden away in a nondescript building that’s supposedly an IRS file storage facility.

Egypt’s actually building an impressive new museum in part of the Giza pyramids complex that will be much more secure than the current Cairo museum, and much larger too. It will be a massive warehouse for all the Egyptian antiquities currently scattered around the country or hidden in government basements because there’s no display room.

However, it’s still frightening to think of all these treasures — which belong to a culture now gone, usurped by Islam long ago — precariously kept anywhere in a country that could descend into the chaos it’s facing right now.

Or, worse, if Egypt goes the way of Iran or Taliban-held Afghanistan, and is taken over by a fundamentalist Islamic theocracy, then what would happen to all these treasures if the Islamists decide one day to destroy them all — the way the Ayatollahs destroyed Persian relics and the Talbian smashed Buddhas in Afghanistan because they were not Islamic.

Looters actually attempted to break into the Cairo museum during the chaos that’s overtaking Egypt.  The army stopped them.

This time.

Another show that’s been on the air recently is “The Walking Dead”, where the world is overrun by zombies and major cities are besieged by these mindless killers who pour across bridges, through tight streets, and descend upon all in their path hungry for blood, guts, and destruction.

That’s what shots of all these Muslim Brotherhood revolutionaries remind me of, especially in scenes where they’re pushing towards buildings, trying to get in, to kill everyone inside in the name of Allah.

Zombies hitting the streets, with the army stepping in to protect mummies from them.

Reality is stranger than fiction sometimes.

Michigan Ground Report: Lifelong Democrat voters questioning what Democrats have been up to all these years

Posted at January 29, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Ground Reports, Hillbuzz, Midwest, Political Figures - The Left, President Barack Obama, The Left
Dear HillBuzz,
I heard something, since we are all talking about this birth certificate here….It’s spilling over into the general public. It’s almost like the kool-aid is being removed from the water while they still fight over the fluoride!
One of my customers said something about our ex governor (Jennifer Granholm). I don’t remember what, but I asked if he knew she got a job at Berkeley teaching….JOBS CREATION (insert snicker). He said he knew she got a job there, but didn’t it was that. I said yes, that’s what I heard, or something about how to stimulate the economy. He just about went thru the roof. He said “you know, you get these politicians in there and after awhile, they get to a certain point and then, stuff is just handed to them. They haven’t done anything- we know SHE hadn’t done anything this whole last term!”

Then he launched into obama.

He wants to know how he went thru school. He said “here is s guy who went to Northwestern, went to Harvard-” and I cut him off and said I didn’t know he went to NW. He said yeah, that’s what he’s always heard. I said I knew he went to Columbia and Occidental, and Harvard. He never heard that! So we agreed “where ever he went” and I let him continue with “either way- how did he pay for his schooling? You know he came from nothing- he didn’t have any money until he wrote those books. He didn’t have sh!t for jobs before…did he apply for student aid? How did he apply? You know, we probably paid for his education. But here’s a guy who didn’t do anything! What? He was a community organizer? What is that?! OK, yeah, he became a state rep and a senator, but he wasn’t in office long. And what did he do then? No one knows! And then he spoke really well- we taught him to give speeches and hell, now he’s the president?! Did he apply for foreign aid?” to which I got to chime in and say “I’m so glad you asked that!” and tried to brief him on Gov. Abercombie’s ploy to get the BC. He just looked at me like I started speaking Sanskrit, so I quickly brought him up to date- Abercrombie’s looking for his BC, and then others were bringing up LoLo Soetero- HE HAD NO IDEA HE WAS ADOPTED IN INDONESIA. I said “you know- where he spent his childhood and got all that foreign policy experience in first grade?” He still didn’t understand. “You knew he lived in Indonesia”- yes- “as a child”- uh huh- “and this guy named LoLo adopted him and his name was changed to Barry Soetero.”
“Oh yeah, but I didn’t know he was adopted. What was his name?”
“Well, he was. And his name was changed. To Barry. Soetero. Anyway…” and I said I had heard- I wasn’t sure if it was true, but the figure going  around is two million- I have heard that obama is spending two million dollars to keep his records sealed- BC, transcripts, papers he wrote, etc. I informed him the argument going around about where he is born should not be “he wasn’t born here so he ain’t Amerycun!” (which never made sense to me) like they keep making it sound, but “what is his name? what is his citizenship status exactly?” and I told him about the argument that he was a minor so he couldn’t be stripped of American citizenship but has he renounced it since he turned 18. And he agreed! He wants to know how he paid for his schooling and why he won’t release this info. Why is it sealed?!

This was a guy who voted for him, leans Democrat, belongs to a union….the Trifecta! And he’s not stupid. He’s a pretty intelligent guy, tho, he admits, dense too at times. He admitted he didn’t really pay that much attention to the campaign in 08. I deem him the typical average American who got duped, but is now finally getting just enough info leaked to him that he’s starting to question WTF is going on after all!

Thanks,

Senator Ron Johnson’s first major address as Wisconsin’s freshman Senator

Posted at January 29, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Conservativism, Hillbuzz, Political Figures - The Right, Tea Party

Great stuff.

Johnson defeated Russ Feingold in Wisconsin.

He’s a businessman who knows what he’s talking about when it comes to the economy.

He is one of the newly elected members of Congress I have the absolute highest hopes for.

Let’s watch his career with great interest, and hope the Cocktail Party establishment never gets to him.
