Have a safe and fun night out – see you on the other side of 2011

Posted at December 31, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // Adventures, Boystown, Fun, Hillbuzz

Before I head to New Year’s Eve adventures here in Boystown I wanted to thank everyone for being a part of things here on HB in 2010. You were collectively the best part of a brutal year.

Tonight, if you are headed out on adventures of your own, please drink responsibly and plan ahead. If you know you can’t say no when the free shots and champagne start flowing, give a bar manager your car keys so there is no chance in Hell you can drive home.

There is no shame in cabbing it and admitting you lost control and are now too buzzed to drive.
I don’t want to turn this into an after school special, but I have lost friends to drunk drivers, so on a night like tonight, just please remember how your actions can impact yourselves and others.

Have fun. Be excellent to all you meet tonight. Live to see tomorrow. You are loved and needed in the fight come 2011.

Use the best trick in my book if you know you will be pressured to drink a lot tonight: order a Guinness in a bottle. It’s opaque. No one can see how much is in it. If you want to have just one, you can totally pretend it is still full all night and no one can tell. It is a great way to stay sober without seeming like a wet blanket.

Look out for those around you tonight. If you see someone driving erratically, call 911 and report it. Better safe than sorry…you might save a life.

Let’s all do our part to start the New Year right, and alive, with all our limbs, and nothing we regret tomorrow.

I get to spend the New Year with an awesome guy I love, some really great friends, and all the many characters in Boystown that make me smile…or cringe, as the case may be. The decorations are all gold and gaudy. There’s glitter everywhere. I’ve seen Chers representing almost every Cher look and decade, save “serious actress” and “infomercial sellout”.

Wouldn’t have it any other way.

See you in 2011!

Happy New Year 2011!

Posted at December 31, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // Adventures, Boystown, Fun, Hillbuzz, Hillbuzz TV, Multimedia, Pop Culture, Tea Party, The American Reistance

As you pop the champagne and start singing along to Auld Lang Syne (like we’ll be doing to Miss Mimi here in Boystown), I hope you take the last few moments of 2010 to make peace with the year and everything in it.

It was a rough one.

I honestly don’t know a single person who had a good year in 2010, thanks largely to what Obama and the Left have been doing to the country for the last two years. People I’ve known who’ve never suffered or wanted for anything are just barely getting by, and many feel hopeless and brokenhearted, particularly those who bought into the whole hopeychangey, “a unicorn in every garage, Obama Money in every pot” garbage the Left sold the unsuspecting in 2008.

As we say goodbye to an awful year, I hope you join all of us here in a vow to make 2011 better, setting the stage to take back the country in 2012…and hopefully defeat the Left once and for all.

We’re going to have to go up against not just the Left, however, but the media and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment too, neither of which wants anything to change, neither of which wants the Left defeated because it would upset their privileged apple carts as well.

If you love America, and you’ve got that Tea Party spirit that’s been steeping, you should start thinking tonight about ways to step up your involvement in politics in 2011.  Different people have different talents.  YOU have immense talent, but only YOU can identify it.

If you don’t know what your talent is, yet, then I make a personal promise to help you figure out what it is.  If you want to get involved to help this country in 2011, and you want to start honing your skills so you can be a force for America in the 2012 elections, then you can always contact us at HillBuzz@gmail.com if you need help figuring out what you are good at and how you can help.

Someone out there reading this is going to play a major part in the 2012 elections and will draw the picture, create the slogan, write the essay, or lead the charge that defeats Obama and the Left once and for all.  I firmly believe that, just as I believe the reason HB exists at all is to broadcast into the dark to send out this message to find that person…who might just be YOU.

There’s a tradition here in Boystown that’s probably the same in your town to an extent.  On New Year’s Eve, we forgive the petty disagreements and differences of the past year and focus on the things that matter.  We check all that nasty, tired, old baggage at the curb and step into a whole new year, with a fresh start, and a goal of living life to its fullest and doing the very best we can in the 365 days ahead.

There are champions of this country out there, right now, who have not been activated and are not using their special skills to bring down Obama and the Left.  The chief goal of HillBuzz in 2011 will be to find these people and energize them into action, and I hope you help us do that. By 2012, we need to have an army of patriots formed, something neither the Left nor the GOP Cocktail Party establishment has ever faced before, not in these numbers, not with a clear and concise mission to take back the country and restore fiscal and constitutional sanity.

All the grudges and resentments you accumulated in 2010 get in the way of this mission.  They are dark, heavy spots on your soul that do you no good.  So, let those all go tonight.  As the ball in Times Square, or your town square, starts to drop and Miss Mimi or whoever gets up to a microphone and starts belting out “Auld Lang Syne”, I hope you hug and kiss the people you love around you, and focus on the love you have for them and your country in the new year.

You have a chance at 12:01 tomorrow to make 2011 the absolute best year of your life.  Maybe if we all pledge here to help each other make that happen, we can succeed together where in the past we’ve separately failed.  The reason the Tea Party terrifies both the Left and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment is that this nationwide coming together of different people, from all walks of life, across party lines has never happened before.  Not in my lifetime at least.  It’s remarkable, because those who believe in America and its innate exceptionalism are standing up and mobilizing to take the country back from the Leftists who hate it.

2011 will be remembered by historians as the beginning of the end for the Left and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment alike.

I know you have a role to play in that.

So, after you’ve partied tonight, and drank a lot of champagne, and shaked it on the dance floor as you rightly deserve…head home safely, rest up, and tomorrow start doing just one focused thing to help America.

The books will close on 2010…just as the adventure of 2011 begins.

Hooray for Hockey Moms!

Posted at December 31, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // Boystown, Fun, Hillbuzz, Sarah Palin

Just a fun story to finish the year with.

The Chicago Blackhawks are taking their moms on a two-game California road trip.

I can’t imagine any hockey player alive could be in the pro leagues without the love and support of his mom (or other legal guardian).  Hockey is a sport you just can’t play without immense parental support.  It’s not like playing pickup basketball games or kicking a soccer ball around.  Skates, padding, league fees, etc. are all very, very expensive.  Those practices can only be had at an ice rink, and the lower you are on hockey’s totem pole the worse your skate time will be.

It’s nice to see the moms of the Blackhawks players getting some special thanks for getting their sons to where they are.

Hockey. Moms. Rule.

2011 Predictions

Posted at December 31, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // CAIR Bears, Cocktail Party GOP, Consistent Mistakes, Enabling the Left, General Stupidity, Hillbuzz, Lamestream Media, Political Figures - The Left, Tea Party, The American Reistance, The Left, Unions, Unveiling Islam, Weaknesses

Just for fun, chime in on this thread with anything you think will happen in 2011.

No holds-barred.

Nothing is too ridiculous to note.

Just go with your gut and say what you think is going to happen.

Here are a few predictions we expect to come true:

(1) Andrew Breitbart is going to bring down Obama with the Pigford Black Reparations expose he’s pushing.  Breitbart is a dog with a bone and will not stop.  Michele Bachmann, Steve King, and Darryl Issa are going to demand answers to why the USDA, under Obama’s orders, allowed tens of thousands of fraudulent payments of $50,000 a piece in “Obama money” to black Obama supporters in 2010 via Pigford.  Obama will most likely still be in office by the end of 2011, but Breitbart’s work is going to assure he’s the one term president we always knew he would be.

(2) Michelle Antoinette Obama is going to have her “let them eat cake moment”.  She’s come close already, but the more Pigford is in the news, the more criticism of the Obamas will be allowed in the media, and the more perturbed she will be that the days of her being lauded as “a global fashion icon” will be over.  She’ll snap at someone, in public, and it will be indelible.  It is only a matter of time.

(3) What Big Labor pulled in New York this last week with the ordered work slowage/stoppage during that massive blizzard will come back to haunt the unions nationwide in a big way.  A massive public backlash against public unions has been building, and this stunt in New York (which resulted in the deaths of two people) is a major crack in a dam that’s been straining to bursting for some time.  America just can’t afford the corruption and graft of unions, and this New York union might have finally awakened enough people for something to be done about it.

(4) The Cocktail Party GOP establishment will have a “let them eat cake moment” of their own, similar to Michelle Antoinette Obama.  This is something that has also been building:  a moment where the GOP establishment proves how out of touch it is, so that regular Americans can see the GOP establishment has been enabling everything the Left does, for their own personal gain.  We all know 2008 was the Republican Party’s last chance: either it becomes more conservative and does what the majority of Americans wants it to do, or it keeps the status quo and remains squishy and blackmailed/controlled by Democrats…in which case, it’s over and done with and some new entity will arise to replace it.  That’s actually very bad for the country, because a third party is the only way Obama wins a second term. Democrats will try to split the conservative vote in 2012 between a Republican candidate and a Tea Party candidate, in which case Obama is re-elected.  This has to be stopped at all costs…but the GOP establishment actually wants to lose the 2012 election because it seems to believe it can wait out the Tea Partiers and return to the status quo if they are demoralized by eight years of Obama in the White House (which would mean a Cocktail Party Republican in 2016, like a Tim Pawlenty or Mike Pence if the establishment succeeds in running Romney in 2012 like they want, because “it’s his turn”).

(5) Not a prediction, but a hope for 2011:  that Islam also gets a “let them eat cake moment”.  This is something that’s also been building, but I don’t think will mature yet.  The American public still allows the media to play its games with Muslims, calling them the “religion of peace” and treating them like misunderstood CAIR Bears.  Meanwhile, Muslims are the only people who claim to be religious and regularly mass murder innocents, set cars afire in Paris, and wage cultural war against their hosts wherever they immigrate.  For whatever reason, the PC hold that’s been on this country, and most of the West, since the 1970s allows Islam to get away with this because people are just too polite to smack Muslims back the way they deserve.  Americans are far too polite of a people in general.  But, they aren’t saints…and there will come a point where Islam has pushed the Left too far, and done something too terrible, to be ignored and the Left and media will realize they can no longer defend Islam and themselves survive.  Democrats, who strongly back Islam because Islam hates America and Democrats have long supported causes that hate America, will one day throw Islam aside if they feel the American public sees Democrats as “the party of Islam”.  Currently, Democrats have made themselves the anti-God/anti-America party, whereas Republicans are seen as the pro-God/pro-America party.  What happens when enough people see Democrats pushing Islam so that the paradigm changes and the public perceives a choice between a pro-Islam and a pro-Christian party…where Democrats are no longer net atheists but net Islamists?  We’re close to this now, and the Ground Zero Victory Mosque (which was politically helped by Mike Bloomberg and Democrats in New York) could just be the catalyst in 2011 that makes Democrats own Islam permanently.  At which point, I think Americans will turn against Democrats in droves…INCLUDING the far Leftists because they are all about ending religion, period, not replacing Christianity for Islam and accepting a new religion over them…when they want to be a cult of Man not God.  I hope this complete meltdown of the Democrat Party happens in 2011, but I don’t know if Islam will be stupid enough to go too far and force this intellectual confrontation with Americans that makes them lose their last remaining bit of patience.

What, off the top of your head this morning, do you think will happen in 2011?

It might be fun to revisit this thread one year from now, like a little time capsule, and see if any of our predictions were correct.

If you don’t have a prediction, but you have an idea you’d like other people to comment on (in the vein of “Do you think X or Y will happen?”), please add that to the thread below and perhaps others can give their take on those items too…which I think will end up being the most interesting part of this thread, really.

The “misunderstood CAIR Bears of Islam” set to burn thousands of cars in France today – to celebrate the New Year “as youths”

Posted at December 31, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // CAIR Bears, Essays - Islam, Hillbuzz, Unveiling Islam

The "misunderstood CAIR Bears of Islam" strike again!

Whenever the “misunderstood CAIR Bears of Islam” commit arson, thuggery, murder, or intimidation in France, they are called “disaffected youths”. These are Muslims who live in “sensitive urban areas” on the outskirts of France’s largest cities, where several times a year they explode in violence against the native French people.

The Leftist media refuses to note these are Muslims committing wanton violence and destruction in a show of intimidation to promote dhimmihood in Europe.

It’s like writing about a great white shark attack and saying “a fish did it” and the now appendage-less, beheaded, exsanguinated surfing victim was “inconvenienced by the encounter in a sensitive aquatic area”.

Politeness is one thing.  Stupidity is another.

No article even tangentially about Islam is complete without noting that Islam is not a religion:  it is a militarized ideological cult whose central objective is global conquest, as detailed in the warped manifesto compiled by an opportunistic and authoritarian pedophile whose thuggery not only long outlived him, but surpassed even his wildest dreams of caliphate.

Class vs. Class: Elizabeth Monroe vs. Michelle Obama — caring about others in need

Posted at December 31, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // Class vs Crass, Featured Content, Hillbuzz

click to embiggen

First Lady Elizabeth Monroe risked her own personal safety to rescue the Marquise Marie Adrienne, wife of General LaFayatte, during the height of the French Revolution.  She did her part to care about and help a friend of America in need.

First Spouse Michelle Antoinette Obama had the resources and free time to locate and assist Barack Obama’s many poor, imperiled Kenyan relatives, ranging from his Aunt Zeituni (who lived in a housing project in Boston) to his brother George (living in a tin shanty in Kenya) and grandmother Sarah (who, at 88, had no running water or electricity in her small hut)…but she never stepped in to care about or help any of these people.

Class vs. Crass.

80s video game iotacons of the current Supreme Court Justices

Posted at December 31, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // Action Items, Gold Team - Creativity, Hillbuzz

SCOTUS

Andy Rash makes these retro mini-portraits of people using simple, 8-bit graphics…like those found in 80s video games.  They’re called iotacons, and here’s his rendition of the Supreme Court, the way they would be depicted in a late-Atari/early-Nintendo game when I was a kid.

“The Wise Latina” and newly-minted Justice Kagan are on the right (which is unusual for them, since they’re solidly on the Left in everything else).

Can you identify the rest of the Justices?

How darling does Ginsburg look?

I would kind of love to have these made into plush couch pillows, Ugly Doll-sized.

Never has the Supreme Court been this adorable…especially Justice Thomas.
