Where have American Presidents spent Christmas traditionally?
Not that the media will ever make a note of this or anything.
Where did the Reagans, the Bushes, and the Clintons spend Christmas?
Kind of says it all, doesn’t it?
The Clintons spent their first Christmas as President in Hilton Head, which they quickly acknowledged was a mistake. Not only did the press savage them for leaving the White House (and forgoing Camp David) during the holidays, but they personally felt bad that they tore their staff and protection away from their families on Christmas. So, they spent the rest of their Christmases in office in the White House (except the year they went to Sarajevo to spend Christmas with US troops stationed there during the Balkan War).
The Bushes’ family tradition was to spend Christmas at Camp David, so that their staff and protection could be near their families on this special day. Bush the father instilled this tradition in his son, George W., who carried it on during his own presidency. The Bushes spent a combined 12 Christmases at Camp David.
The Reagans spent every Christmas in the White House so his staff and protection could enjoy the holiday with their families. Soon after the holidays, the Reagans took a vacation to their ranch in California…AFTER the people who worked for him were able to enjoy their family time. The Reagans owned the ranch, and paid to have it transformed into a Western White House with no cost to taxpayers.
Every year, the Obamas essentially tell the people who work in the White House to “go f*** themselves”, since the Obamas demand to be entertained and lavished with unimaginable luxuries in tropical Hawaii (instead of Chicago, where Obama is supposedly “from”, depending on what political points he wants to score that day).
In 2010, Michelle Antoinette Obama cost US taxpayers an extra $63,000 to entertain her, by demanding a private flight to Hawaii a few days before her husband was able to make the trip. She just couldn’t wait to get away from Washington. Other massive expenses for entertaining the Obamas in paradise are detailed here.
In 2013, when these people are out of the White House and living in Hawaii full time (where the Obama Presidential Library will be built), Michelle Antoinette can spend every Christmas there, hopefully on her own dime.

Honestly, of all the things we do here at HillBuzz, the one that makes the Left howl the most is when we just simply illustrate, side by side, the behavior of the Obamas compared to the people who lived in the White House before them. Those simple images of the Obamas behaving terribly, wasting taxpayer money, and making asses of themselves just resonate with Americans on a basic level when juxtaposed with facts about other first families.
This crass behavior is historic and unprecedented. There has never been people living in the White House who behave this way, with such contempt and disregard for the American people and American way of doing things.
The Obamas are truly alien in every sense of the word.
If you remind people of what the norm for presidents and their spouses has been and should be, and directly contrast that with the Obamas, the Left goes insane…because they know there is no defense of what the Obamas are doing to this country.

OUTRAGEOUS: Michelle Antoinette Obama costs taxpayers an additional $63,000 by demanding to leave for Hawaii without her husband…instead of just waiting a few days
"Wheeeeeeeee! I just cost taxpayers $63,000! What depression? Wheeeeeeeee!"
First off, it’s outrageous the Obamas demand to go to Hawaii every year for Christmas in the first place.
Almost every other resident of the White House in history has spent Christmas either there, or at nearby Camp David, so that White House staff, the Secret Service, military officials, and everyone else that travels with the president can spend the holiday with their families…since they all live in and around DC and this would keep their schedules basically the same on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Not the Obamas.
They demand to be in Hawaii for Christmas, thousands of miles away from Washington, so they can disrupt as many lives as possible in the process.
FACT: Before he became president, the Obamas did not go to Hawaii for Christmas. They spent it in Chicago. Going to Hawaii and living in a multi-million dollar mansion at enormous taxpayer expense is a new development for these two. On the street, people call this “farting through silk”.
This year, in addition to tearing families apart at Christmas, Michelle Antoinette Obama demanded an early trip to Hawaii, while her husband stayed in Washington. So, she insisted upon a private flight for herself and Petit-Trianon-grade traveling entourage…which has cost taxpayers $63,000 more than it would have if she had just stayed with her husband and waited a few days to travel to Hawaii with him.
Instead, Air Force C-40B Special Mission Aircraft had to ferry her, the Obama daughters, their dog, and her retinue, at public expense. The First Spouse was allegedly heard to shout, loudly, over the roar of the plane’s engines at takeoff, “F*** them. F*** them all. I got to have my Mai-Tais!”.
No doubt, she was proud of her mai-tais for the first time in her adult life.
REMINDER: These two could have cost taxpayers ZERO by just staying in the White House and having Christmas there (or at Camp David), the way the Bushes and Clintons did for the majority of their time in the White House.
GREAT NEWS: Steven Spielberg is advising Nancy Pelosi on “building a new Democrat brand”
This is fabulous news for Christmas, folks.
Steven Spielberg is one of the most out-of-touch Leftists in Hollywood…and he has been surrounded by YES-men and women for the last 30 years, who tell him everything he does is magic, spot-on perfect, and exactly what needs to be done. He receives nothing but nonstop praise from the media, regardless of what he does, or how stupid it is. He’s the white Will Smith. Who is, himself, the black Barack Obama.
For the Democrat party to survive longterm, the last thing it needs is Steven Spielberg advising it on brand management.
Spielberg’s part of the chorus that doesn’t believe Democrats have gone far ENOUGH to the Left…and he also believes that Hollywood should dictate what Americans think and believe.
Nancy Pelosi thinks all of these same things herself. Or, she would, if she had a functional brain and was not, as we all well know, just running off Botox fumes.
Pelosi and Spielberg, together, will do more damage to Democrats than Pelosi has been doing alone.
No matter what these two come up with, it’s guaranteed to alienate those in this country who feel Democrats are too Leftists…because a Pelosi-Spielberg endeavor will appeal to the Hollywood, urban, elite set (the shrunken Democrat base), as the expense of the “bitter clinging Midwesterners” the new Obama Democrat Party so shuns.
This is fabulous news.
If you thought Christmas came early when Pelosi was made Minority Leader, then you’re getting THREE Christmases this year!

Governor Palin: Helping Haiti This Christmas
Here’s the latest Facebook posting from Governor Palin, about her trip to Haiti with her daughter Bristol.
As bad as things are in Haiti, I also want to remind everyone that things are pretty bad in the Southside of Chicago too…and in Cleveland…and in Detroit…and in Pittsburgh.
So, we should all applaud any efforts to help those in Haiti…while simultaneously asking why, exactly, people live in conditions similar to Haiti in the major Democrat-controlled cities across this country.
Whatever’s keeping people in Haiti down, generation to generation, is also keeping people down in our own cities.
Corruption.
An entitlement mentality.
People who are told it’s easier to collect checks from the government than to become entrepreneurs and chart their own destiny.
Democrats don’t want anyone in the urban areas to improve themselves…because they are easier to control as voters when they are dependent on the government for everything. It’s very similar to what happens in countries like Haiti, or in South America or Africa, where corrupt government officials embezzle most of the funds pouring in from well-meaning private organizations or foreign aid (like the massive amounts of cash the United States gives to countries all over the world, only to see it fall into the hands of warlords).
In major urban areas, like Chicago, the warlords are people like Mayor Daley…who oversee their machines, which are designed to benefit those who support the machines and keep large segments of the population impoverished so they are easier for Democrats to control…and thus, make it easier for Democrats to retain power.
Before we can ever stop this cycle from repeating in foreign countries like Haiti, we need to find a way to stop it in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, New York, you name it.
Don’t tell me this isn’t a deliberate part of Democrats’ strategy for staying in power.
STUPIDITY: Since running an older, white-haired, pasty-faced Cocktail Party establishment candidate against Obama didn’t work in 2008…the Cocktail Party GOP wants to do it again with Mike Pence in 2012
Seriously.
Running Mike Pence in 2012 is one of the dumbest things the GOP could do…and after Mittens Romney, it’s exactly what the Cocktail Party GOP establishment WANTS to do.
He’s a bland, older, white-haired, pasty-faced, establishment guy…just like McCain!
So, after McCain failed to beat Obama in 2008…and the media had a field day contrasting their two images throughout the campaign, anyone who is gung-ho to go through all this again with Mike Pence is just nuts.
The White Star line didn’t immediately commission “Titanic II” after the first ship sank in 1912.
Coca Cola didn’t race New New Coke onto shelves right after New Coke failed.
There was no sequel to Ishtar…no remake, either.
All of this is obvious.
Or, should be, to anyone paying the slightest bit of attention.
Hence, the sheer and utter folly of running an obscure Member of Congress — WHO LOOKS JUST LIKE JOHN McCAIN — for president four years after John McCain was rejected by voters, in part because of the stale, mendacious, and just plain DULL image he cast when compared by the media to Obama.
Yes, in 2012 voters will want a remedy for Obama…someone who can address all of his faults and give America what they have been missing these last four years.
But that someone will not be a guy who would win first prize in next year’s Halloween John McCain lookalike contest.

What are you doing to get ready for Christmas?
Have you reached out to all your friends and family to make sure everyone has a place to go to celebrate the holiday?
Have you asked your neighbors what they are doing to celebrate?
It might seem like a strange thing to do, but the holidays are a tough and depressing time for some people. They might never let on, but they might be terribly lonely this time of year. You might just do more good than you will EVER know just by telling someone in your life he or she is important to you and asking them if they would like to join your family as a special guest star this Christmas.
You might just have the power to turn what would be a sad, lonely day in someone’s life into the best Christmas ever for him or her…AND you would probably have an even better time at your own holiday event, having a special guest star in your midst.
Think about it.
I know it’s outside the comfort zone…but think of all the Christmas specials you’ve ever seen…they do this all the time in movies and on TV…and in the end, everyone’s singing, being happy together, and having a wonderful time on Christmas.
Normally, I’d never agree anyone should try to copy what they see on TV, but with this, I have to say give it a try if you can.
You won’t regret it.
