The Social Contract’s Fall 2010 Issue: The Menace of Islam
Well, I’m sure this is guaranteed to win me all sorts of new friends at Al Jazeera, but an essay of mine is featured in the new issue of The Social Contract for Fall of 2010. “The Menace of Islam” is now available for order on The Social Contract’s site.
You can read the whole issue online, however, here.
My essay is called “HillBuzz: Doing the Job the Mainstream Media Won’t Do”, and is a reprint of a piece I did a few months ago hitting the media for coddling Muslims as misunderstood CAIR Bears.
It’s exciting to be in the same list of authors as Ann Coulter, Pamela Geller, Stella Paul, and the others whose work appears in this issue of The Social Contract.
Vote in Redstate poll for Governor Palin’s 2012 presidential bid (AKA, Governor Palin and the Twelve Dwarves)
I think Redstate closes their polls at around 12 noon EST, so if you read this in the morning before then, and you have not voted in the poll yet, please do so.
It’s important for a lot of reasons — but chiefly I think that Erik Erikson over at Redstate has had a real change of heart in regards to 2012 and I’d like to see that encouraged. About a month ago, Erikson started openly coming out in favor of Governor Palin, where in the past Redstate was very much Mittens Romney territory, with everyone blindly munching on soggy cucumbers-and-mayonnaise sandwiches, deluding themselves that Romneycare would not spell doom for the GOP should Mittens be the 2012 nominee.
Munch, munch, munch…”it’s his turn!” and “he’s wanted to be president since the 70s!” ruling the day.
I don’t know what happened to Erikson, but maybe he met Governor Palin and saw face to face what I’ve seen the times I’ve been in the same room with the Governor: she is the once-in-a-lifetime, real deal…and she will wipe the floor with Obama in 2012. You betcha.
Do not for an instant underestimate the Romney Guys’ obsession with power, however. There are people who have spent the last ten years angling for Mittens Romney to be the 2012 nominee, just so they could land high paying, resume-building jobs on the campaign. Governor Palin is a direct and present threat to the Cocktail Party GOP’s “business as usual” routine.
I know this Redstate poll is just a poll on a website, but if the Romney Guys lose control of places like Redstate, Ace of Spades, and other conservative sites…it makes it that much harder for them to carry out their Romney 2012 plans because they were counting on lockstep support from the usual suspects to install this “it’s his turn!” candidate for the next presidential race.
So, vote for the Governor…and drive Mittens a little more crazy today.
