"That's enough hatemail for one day. Give me the phone, Kev".
I enjoy sharing the behind the scenes stories of what it takes to run HillBuzz because I realize that people who do not deal with politics 24/7 in their lives and subject themselves to what I do every day might not have any idea what goes into efforts like this. In the last two years, I’ve made friends with other writers and political commentators and we like to share stories like these, because the Left is remarkably consistent in what it does to all of us. It is 100%, pure Alinsky Methods, folks. They just follow the recipe, slightly altering it for whoever the target is. Because I’m gay, most of my hatemail centers around the Left wishing I get AIDS and die a slow, horrible, and lonely death in a ramshackle hospice somewhere.
Occasionally, someone on the Left will take a creative writing course somewhere and feel inspired to up the ante slightly on this, incorporating all sorts of weird imagery into the attacks on me. There’s a notorious troll named Susan in New Hampshire who used to write into HillBuzz under something like 25 different aliases, sending me gothic hatemail with detailed, fetishistic descriptions of how exactly she wanted to jab me with AIDS (which she’d get from old needles she and her husband Brad scavenged from an old, abandoned hospital on the edge of town) and what she and her husband would do to me the next time I was in New Hampshire (Fun Trivia: on my next trip to New Hampshire, I plan on coming to Susan’s neighborhood with several drag queens and/or circus animals and having a parade down her street, at the end of which I will pose for photographs in front of her house that I will use as my Christmas cards in 2012…if you are good all next year, perhaps you will get an autographed one!).
But, the majority of the hatemail I receive here at HillBuzz is run-of-the-mill, boilerplate, standard Leftist-issued Alinsky Mad Libs (for Dummies). I get hundreds of these things a day and had been ignoring them, unless friends of mine were curious what the trolls were saying now.
My friend Althea likes getting a “Who Hates You Today?” report from me every time we meetup for lunch or drinks, and my friend Abbey always asks me “Who’s mad now?” whenever we talk on the phone.
At Thanksgiving, I was at my friend Megan’s house and her family asked me to read some of my hatemail aloud…hatemail that people actually sent me on Thanksgiving itself. One memorable piece started out, “I know you are probably busy with Thanksgiving and everything, but I just had to write in to tell you how much I hate you”. It then rambled on about me rigging Dancing with the Stars to keep Bristol on the show through the finale and how awful I am in general, including how much I needed to get AIDS. How original. ”Happy Thanksgiving!” was how the letter ended, from a crazy woman in Davenport, Iowa (Fun Trivia: I think I found the setting for my 2013 Christmas card).
I started dating a guy named Justin around Thanksgiving and really like him. His mother Cathy is an HB reader and has been following my writing since she heard about me on Rush Limbaugh before the 2008 elections. She had no idea I knew her son and Justin had no idea his mother read me, until one day he started talking about me and his mother filled him in on my life running HillBuzz and all the things the Left has done to me, particularly since the Scott Brown victory in January of this year.
I sometimes feel like I’m Forrest Gumping through American history via HillBuzz because all sorts of odd “worlds collide!” moments like this happen on a pretty regular basis for me these days. I meet HB readers wherever I go across the country, and a great many of them have become wonderful friends in real life, just through letters they’ve written me via the site. And then there’s Susan in New Hampshire, and her needle fetish.
Justin was curious about my hatemail after Cathy told him about my Thanksgiving, and how Megan’s family all took turns reading hatemail off my phone in funny voices that took the sting out of it. Grandma Wendy read some hatemail in a very posh and proper British voice, putting her hand over her mouth and feigning shock at every expletive. Megan’s sister-in-law Misty read the hatemail in a squeaky, cartoonish voice that made it all seem even more ridiculous. One of Megan’s brothers-in-law did a tough guy, Sylvester Stallone kind of voice that really underscored how idiotic all of this garbage is. Over at the kids table, the little ones used crayons and construction paper to draw pictures of the various trolls and goblins they imagined sending me hatemail; they all had big, mucus-coated noses, yellow teeth, and stinky, matted hair. Set next to the pilgrims, Indians, and cornucopias decorating the table this all made for an unforgettably eclectic Thanksgiving tableau in the suburbs…where a gay conservative writer from Boystown guest-starred at a family dinner for the day, bringing his hatemail along with him.
We all laughed and laughed and laughed reading those venom-dipped troll droppings, which was probably not the end result desired from the Leftists who spent all day hunting and pecking on their keyboards writing those missives to me (pausing, I imagine, every now and then to wait for the Tab they hoped would shoot out of the computer when that particular key was discovered…geniuses that these people are).
A few nights ago, before we went to sleep, Justin heard my phone going nuts and asked me who was emailing and I told him it “was probably just hatemail”.
“Can you read some of it?,” he asked, and propped himself up on a pillow with the blankets pulled in tight to his chest, like he was waiting for a story from a good, magical, book.
I obliged my boyfriend and pulled up the HB email on my phone, then started reading the latest troll letters to me in no particular order.
I did them in different voices, just like at Thanksgiving, because otherwise they’re too repetitious to be interesting.
That Susan character in New Hampshire used to send me the same things, essentially, over and over all day using different email accounts so that’s what I think a lot of these people do. They log-in as one name, send something foul, log-out, then lather, rinse, and repeat. ”I just wanted to tell you I hate you”. Blah blah. ”Hope you get AIDS”. Blah blah. ”You are a racist because you don’t like Obama”. Blah Blah. ”Get AIDS and die”. It’s really the same stuff every single day, coming from “the Tolerant Left”, following Alinsky’s playbook for personalizing attacks against opponents, draining their energy, and polarizing them to alienate them from friends and supporters so they just want to give up the fight.
Justin laughed at the first few of these, but I have to admit the really AIDS-heavy hatemails do get to me because I have a good friend in Philadelphia with HIV and I do a lot of volunteering here in Chicago for AIDS charities like Howard Brown, TPAN, and Chicago House. So, to see “I hope you get AIDS” dropped so casually into hatemail by people who have no real clue how brutal and horrifying this disease is just rattles me no matter how much of this hatemail I ever get.
Justin picked up on this and before I’d even gotten through ten of the most recent slams in the HB in-box, he said “That’s enough hatemail for one day. Give me the phone, Kev”.
He took it away from me, turned it off, and put it on the floor, then checked to make sure I was okay after reading that stuff.
For anyone who’s a J.K. Rowling fan, it’s honestly like dealing with those horcruxes…which in the Harry Potter universe are these cursed objects, straight out of Vendredi’s Antiques, with bits and pieces of pure evil wedged into them that are toxic and painful to the touch.
This is “the Tolerant Left” that controls the Democrat Party…dispatchers of horcruxes…wishers of AIDS…Alinsky foot soldiers of Obama who every day fling pure hate at anyone who opposes him.
I bet most Americans have no more idea what dealing with these people on a regular basis is like than the residents of Pivot Drive have of what it feels like to correspond with Deatheaters.
I love that Megan and her family gave me a new way to deal with this garbage at Thanksgiving — reading it aloud to rob it of its power and ridicule it. That’s like casting a Riddikulis spell to take down a Boggart in the Potterverse. Make a joke of it, then beat back the bully using laughter and mirth to combat the cliche hatred and Alinsky tactics.
It’s kind of magical having a guy in my life like Justin who cares enough to know what’s going on, ask what these lunatic Leftists are sending, and then yank me out of HB mode and away from the Alinsky craziness when he senses I’m at that point where I shouldn’t be reading the hatemail anymore. I know the more I write, and the larger HB becomes, the volume on all of this stuff will only increase. As we get closer to 2012, everything will ratchet up several notches as the Left starts to realize their grip on power’s slipping and they are going to be exiled to the moral and political wilderness for another 30 years or so, due to Obama’s disastrous failures.
No one could ever have prepared me for taking on the Left like this and suffering all the consequences of standing up to these Alinsky bullies…just as there’s really nothing I could ever say to adequately warn anyone else out there who plans to step up to the plate and beat the Left back from now until 2012. This is most likely the main reason the GOP Cocktail Party establishment blue bloods have always acquiesced to the Left so willingly. That “go-along-to-get-along” spirit boils down to these people being afraid of the bullying and thuggery of the Left. They don’t know how to Riddikulize the Boggarts, so they let them bully them into compliance.
Just look at what happens when you don’t shut up and sit down when the Left tells you too. I don’t like the Cocktail Party cucumber and mayonnaise squishy Republicans, but I know why they are such wussies. It’s much, much easier that way.
If you stand up to the Left, the Alinsky hordes will never let you rest. Not even on Thanksgiving.
So, it’s good if you have someone in your life who knows when to take your phone away and put the hatemail on pause.
Even better if he happens to look more than a little like Zac Efron and is strongly considered in my book to be an expert snuggler.
QUESTIONS: Is Fred Phelps a Democrat? Is Westboro Baptist a Democrat organization? Why did Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist picket Elizabeth Edwards' funeral on December 11th, 2010?
Yes. Fred Phelps is a lifelong Democrat who ran for Governor of Kansas three times…in 1990, 1994, and 1998. Fred Phelps ran as a Democrat. Fred Phelps is a Democrat who strongly supported Al Gore for years, briefly broke away from Gore during the Clinton years because Phelps hates both Bill and Hillary Clinton with a passion (because of Bill’s infidelities), but has seemingly reconciled with Gore and loves him again. Phelps’ son is also a big Al Gore supporter and was a Gore delegate in 1988 to the Democrat Convention.

(2) Is Westboro Baptist a Democrat organization?
Yes. Westboro Baptist is a Democrat organization that exists as a hate-group run by Democrat Fred Phelps, the former Democrat contender for Governor of Kansas in 1990, 1994, and 1998. Phelps and Westboro Baptist hate the United States Military and engage in picketing military funerals. They also hate gays, which is consistent with the Democrat Party’s general feeling towards the gay community — if people are sharp enough to cut through the PC propaganda and take a hard look on how Democrats in general really see gays. Gay men, in particular, are what’s known as a gAyTM…a gay ATM that pumps out cash whenever Democrats need it. Democrats then do nothing for gays…except keep constant vigil for any signs of gay men stepping off the reservation and starting to vote in their economic best interests. At which point the Democrat Party powers up the Alinsky Methods death star to personally destroy any gays who dare defy them. Respected gay activists such as Cleave Jones — Harvey Milk’s lieutenant in 1970s San Francisco — speak out on this issue all the time, that Democrats use gays for a funding source but have great contempt for them and are, in fact, more hateful toward gays than conservatives because the image of the gay-hating conservative is actually conjured by the Left as a boogeyman in the gay community, using Democrats like Fred Phelps and his Democrat hate-group Westboro Baptist to provide the caricature the Left wants to imprint on conservatism. It is all straight out of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, and it unfortunately works like gangbusters because the gay community’s self-appointed “leaders” march lockstep with whatever the DNC says, targeting any gays who dare step off the reservation Democrats want them kept on. The Left deliberately misleads the public into believing Westboro Baptist (and, really, any organization that even remotely reads as “religious” and tangentially related to Christianity) is a Republican group so that it can keep a wedge in place between gays and conservatism…lest gays, especially gay men, wake up and start voting conservative in their own economic best interests. This is all part of the elaborate and Byzantine mechanism Democrats have in place to retain power and maintain their hold over the gay identity voter bloc that’s the heart of the Democrats’ fundraising operation.
(3) Why did Westboro Baptist picket Elizabeth Edwards’ funeral on December 11th, 2010?
For attention. Why does Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist do 99% of the things they do? The “official” reason these sick lunatics gave for picketing a cancer victim’s (and mother of four’s) funeral was because (1) her husband had an affair and love child and (2) after her son Wade died Elizabeth Edwards had two more children, which Westboro claims was Elizabeth defying God and replacing her deceased son with two new babies. The logic on this is bizarre, to say the least. Really, this was just an excuse to get television time for Westboro, since they had not been in the news in a while. Because the Edwards family is known to the American public, and because John Edwards was the Democrat VP candidate in 2004, it was guaranteed TV cameras would be at Elizabeth’s funeral. So, Westboro decided to go there to be on TV. This is the real reason they did this.
If there are any of you out there who had any respect at all for Westboro before this stunt at a mother’s funeral, I sincerely hope you have now reconsidered your feelings for Democrat Fred Phelps and his Democrat hate-group.
This was beyond the pale, even for people who repeatedly shame and embarrass themselves by making these scenes at the funerals for AIDS victims and fallen heroes in our military.
What Westboro does is sick, and the Democrat Party should really do something to address this and rein in people like three-time former Democrat candidate for Kansas Governor Fred Phelps.
Progress Report on the new HillBuzz site
I’m very excited to report we’ve made a lot of headway on a new HillBuzz site that’s in development.
We’re looking at having something up and running in January…middle to the end of the month, depending on how long it takes to archive the massive amount of content we’ve generated here in the last two years and change, including the hundreds of thousands of comments.
Essentially, my goal is to get the site ready for the 2012 presidential campaign and this next great push against the Left.
HB will be a base camp and action center for the unending war against the Left, with our chief goal the complete and permanent destruction of the Democrat Party, which I personally want to metaphorically burn to the ground because of the way it has conducted itself in the last two years. I have said repeatedly that the Democrat Party made a conscious decision to go to war against Hillary Democrats — the moderate and conservative Jacksonian Democrats that became Clinton Democrats in the 90s and Hillary Dems in the leadup to 2008…and who are now largely Palin Democrats, Independents, or actual Republicans (as I am now) since Hillary Clinton left politics and took herself out of the presidential contest — and that decision included using weaponized Alinsky tactics against fellow Democrats, for the first time that I am aware of. Howard Dean, Donna Brazile, David Axelrod, the Obamas, and everyone involved in pushing an unqualified and largely talentless Soros puppet into the presidency used false accusations of racism and other Alinsky methods of personal destruction to wage complete war on former Democrat loyalists…especially people Obama called “bitter, clinging Midwesterners”.
Well, payback is going to be a real you-know-what for these people.
I swear, if it takes my last cent, every bit of my time, and every ounce of my strength up to my very life itself I am going to do everything I can in 2011 to lay the groundwork that’s needed for a complete and total takedown of every Democrat in elected office in 2012, up to and including the decimation of the party itself and the destruction of the Democrat fundraising network.
HillBuzz is also going to do everything it can to bring down the Cocktail Party GOP blue blood establishment and remove these people from office as well, and help direct Republican fundraising efforts to Tea Party supported candidates and those that Governor Palin herself supports, because the biggest reason the Left was able to takeover the country in 2008 was because the Cocktail Party GOP establishment allowed the Left to do so…through capitulation, obsequiousness, stupidity, and the squishy cucumbers-and-mayonnaise mindset that drives too many Republicans to care more about being liked by the media and invited to all the best cocktail parties instead of doing what’s best for the country.
I am damn tired of this, and am going to use HillBuzz to put a stop to it.
Clearly, we’ll also be doing everything we can to support Governor Palin’s presidential campaign, in addition to covering the political antics here in Chicago.
HB will continue to report on Boystown, bridge the gap between conservatives and gays, and confront the gay community on the bad things it does — starting with the bullying of conservatives and the Alinsky Methods used to smack down any gays who dare leave the reservation and start voting in their own economic best interests (instead of blind voting Democrat because gay leaders will attack them if they do otherwise).
The new HB site will be ad-supported, which I hope will mean we can afford to attend and cover more political events, take road trips to interesting political happenings afield in the Midwest, and start building a war chest to hit the ground hard in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina for Governor Palin in the leadup to the 2012 nominating contests.
I don’t want to run a news site, because there are plenty of those. I also don’t want to run an exclusively humor and satire driven site, though I use those elements to make political points. I really want HillBuzz to be a “Choose Your Own Adventure” sort of place, where YOU can hopefully get ideas for getting yourself off your couch, putting down your Pepsi, and engaging in some political activism at your own comfort level.
Clearly, you care about this country and about politics or you would not be reading this right now.
You are probably mad and frustrated some days, reading the news, seeing what Obama and the Left are doing to America.
You probably forward articles to friends and give relatives an earful about what is going on, and I can easily imagine your faces reddening and your pulse quickening when you think about things like Obamacare, the Net Neutrality censorship push, and the Pigford Black Reparations Scam. Every day it seems Democrats and the Left (redundancy alert!) have cooked up some new way to drain the Treasury, “redistribute wealth”, or commit blatant voter fraud in elections.
You are more likely than not especially mad that you feel you can’t do anything about this.
In sitting down and talking with a graphic designer, web developer, and Internet team about what I want the new HB site to be…I kept coming back to “Choose Your Own Adventure” as the site’s heart and soul, because in 2011 when the new site launches I want to kick this aspect of HB up several notches and dedicate myself to the purpose of providing many different real-time, easy-to-do, action items for regular people to spend 15 to 30 minutes on, whenever they can, that will hit the Left in pinpointed, strategic ways that will bring the Democrats’ house of cards collapsing down on them.
Broadcasting from Buzzquarters in Boystown, I want to give conservatives ongoing adventures to choose from…whether it is letter writing, research projects, protesting, or pressure applying tuned to just the right frequency to get results.
When I started HB with my friends back in 2008, it was a site intended for only my friends and I never dreamed people who didn’t actually know us here in Boystown would ever read it. The site’s now at 13.5 million hits since August of 2008, and should clear 14 million by the New Year, so I know it’s a bigger deal than I ever intended it to be…and feel a responsibility to make the most of that readership.
The only way I know how to proceed is to continue writing every essay, article, post, and action item as if I am talking to my friends, or answering their emails asking me what they can do that day about this or that issue that’s popped up in the news. You can take my advice and join in on an action item if you want, or you can just sit there. You can read every day just to make fun of me or to get up to whatever it is trolls get up to hating me, I really don’t care. Because if you are doing that, you have to know this site is not for you and I honestly don’t spend very much time ever thinking about you.
This site is for friends…friends of America, friends of conservatism, friends of Jesus, friends of voter integrity, friends of appropriate government, friends of constrained spending, friends of freedom from the Left and liberty from the tyranny of the Leftist-controlled Democrat party.
This site is for the American Resistance.
It has already, in the two incarnations of HillBuzz that have existed on Blogspot and WordPress, weathered a great many storms. I’ve been attacked nonstop, every day, relentlessly and ruthlessly by the Left on a very personal level because I voice opposition to Obama and what he is doing to America. I can never relate the full breadth and scope of what that has cost me on a financial, professional, personal, and human level. The Alinsky Death Star is a soul-killer when aimed square at you…but the weird and twisted upside of that is the Left only uses its worst weapons on those it identifies as threats…and HB has been a threat to the Left since that very first post made back in 2008.
I take a lot of pride in that, and a great comfort from all of the readers who have contributed more to my life and the site than you will ever know. It has been a real adventure, and I know that many years from now, when the Left is defeated and Obama is reconsidered by historians to be the sham and fraud we all know him to be (instead of the Lightbringing god-with-a-small-g the Left, media, and Oprah sold him as in 2008), I will know that through HB I gave many people an opportunity to do everything they could on a daily basis to make as much trouble for these lunatics as possible.
HB is at its best when it is throwing the Left and the current White House off their game, keeping them busy, and giving the American people a chance to see the current would-be god-emperor in the Oval has no clothes…or apparently any idea what he is doing.
So, all of this will continue on the new site…it will just be presented better, be easier to navigate, and most importantly be much, much more secure…with backed-up redundancies and systems in place to ensure the Left has an ongoing, permanent thorn in its side…delivered with glee by buzzy little bees.
I’m very excited by all of the possibilities and potential for HB’s growth and evolution in 2011.
The work needed to make all this happen is hard, so please remember that if the only thing we post here in a day is an Open Thread. It’s unfortunate, but there are only so many hours in a day, and creating the new site means something has to give…and regrettably that means a little less content here and there while the behind the scenes efforts are underway.
Bear with us, because it will all be worth it in the end, I promise.

The last time I guest hosted the show for Megan (when she was out battling giant robots or gunslingers), some weird technical glitch kept it from actually broadcasting…so it looked like the show was live from my end, but the broadcast didn’t go out. This resulted in me essentially talking to myself for an hour, with only people here at Buzzquarters in Boystown able to hear me. Which is kind of funny, and a testament to how up to speed with all things technical I am.
This guest hosting bit is a dry run for launching HillBuzz Radio, which I hope to do before Christmas. My goal is to do a one hour show on a daily basis to start, and see about expanding that into a longer format with guests and callers as I get up to speed on things here. It would essentially be an audio podcast of the material that day here on HB for people who don’t have time to read the essays and articles and instead would like to get the information via podcast in their cars or at home while they are doing other things.
Pigford is the compelling reason for taking this next step and investing this energy on my part…I want to do everything humanly possible on my end to make sure Americans know that Obama has launched Black Reparations payments — aka “Obama Money” — and is looting the Treasury with this Pigford scam.
I would love to hear other creative ideas from you as to how we can get regular, non-politically engaged Americans tuned into what’s going on with Pigford. If you get ideas posted onto this thread before 10pm, I can talk about them on The Megan Fox Show tonight.

I didn’t like Elizabeth Edwards at all. She was not a good woman.
But, she was a mom…and a mom deserves a respected and private funeral.
Period.
The Democrat hate-group known as Westboro Baptist, led by three-time Democrat candidate for Governor of Kansas Fred Phelps, is going to disrupt Elizabeth Edwards’ funeral tomorrow.
I implore you, if you are at all able, to do the right and just thing and join the human shield to block the Westboro Democrats from the Edwards family’s view.
I did not like this woman one bit, but I will be damned if I sit quietly and let Democrats scar her children at her funeral.
I wish I could be in North Carolina tomorrow but I am stuck in Chicago.
