NEW YORK GROUND REPORT
Dear HillBuzz,
Hi my second ground report from New York–outside the city, Rockland County, land of the highest taxes anywhere. People–first, to understand NY’s problems you have to know that governors come and go but Sheldon Silver, crooked as a dog’s hind leg, and his Dems are forever. We are fighting not only to get conservatives into the national scene via Congress, but to get control of the Assembly and Senate here which is as bad as California and D.C. combined. Silver is funding 2 panty waists who can’t discuss the issues: Zebrowski (whose Dad was a conservative) Jr the liberal spawn, a lawyer (what else) who votes for tax increases regularly, and David Carlucci who as a clerk here in the county is already earning 6 figures (!!!) and is off to Albany to play Silver’s puppet.
For some reason we have brain dead folk who still believe in liberal ways. Zebrowski was so low as to personally smear his opponent, Frank Sparaco (Navy vet and small businessman), in the local paper with a story that has no truth at all; calculated to damage despite it being a lie. As damaging a story, for example, as would be one that Zebrowski molested a 13 yr old high school boy in his New City office! So politicians are desperate. Sparaco, as a local legislator, has never raised our taxes and because of it, is despised by most of his colleagues in the legislature, some of who have WFP/ socialist ties. So we went out this weekend to do palm cards for Sparaco, had moderate success. Encountered an orange haired senior biddy who haughtily pushed my card away, to which I said, Well I hope you like higher taxes. To which she croaked “I can vote the way I want!”—so there’s the problem. People are so dyed in the wool Democrat without realizing they have been left high and dry by the Dems long ago, that it is an uphill battle. The day before this, we had a rally with several issues: No Ground 0 mosque, support AZ and border enforcement, repeal Deathcare, etc….We had loads of support, honking cars, etc…and only one mad hatter, a woman w/ butch cut and baseball cap shouting from her car that it was “UnAmerican to ask for papers”—SIGH—-what a maroon, Bugs would have said. We were there a couple hours with some vets who regularly gather to support our military.
Some good news–a couple teenage boys in skating gear came by and demonstrated with us for awhile, just saw us and liked the idea. We didnt have a lot of people at our rally, but we got support from passing cars, and i have a theory about this: just as economists think that the stock market may be correcting due to its belief that the Republicans will win, I believe voters are already keyed in to flush the libs back to the sewers from whence they came. No need to demonstrate when you are busy, and when you know what is up. That is why I was not that bothered by our small numbers. I will be phonebanking my precinct, but if I happen to encounter a Dem I will be sure to encourage them to vote on Nov. 3. If we ever get control of Albany we can redistrict because this area is totally gerrymandered. Very frustrating, but we are not giving up….lots of Paladino signs around only a few Cumo signs. Unfortunately, the invertebrate slug that is our Congressman, Eliot Engel, who cowers under Nancy’s skirts, (phew! what an image) will be re-elected because of the gerrymandering. Anyway we are fighting on. Liberalism is detestable and must be fought wherever you find it. It kills people and takes their freedom.

Dear HillBuzz,
Writing from upstate New York, Saratoga Springs, almost another state when compared to the city. We have some of the highest taxes in the country, and probably the most corrupt state government too. People are frustrated and totally fed up with the leadership in this state. This election statewide will probably end up with more of the same in state government, unless many Democrats stay home. It’s hard for me to believe that this election, probably the best environment to change things around here, all the incumbents have double digit leads. The Republican party leaders must either be on drugs or just plain brain dead. Personally I have a simple system for my votes, if you’re in your out, easy. Hopefully I’m not alone and my assessment is way off, a girl can dream right? It is so very frustrating to see people continue with the status quo, come on Chuck Schumer, please.
Locally in NY 20 we have a great candidate running for congress In Col. Chris Gibson, http://chrisgibsonforcongress.com/. I’ve been working hard talking to people and getting our information out there. Chris has pulled ahead by 2% this week so we still have plenty of work to do. We just found out they are shipping Bill Clinton in the day before the election, next Monday. We will be there with bells on holding our Gibson signs for all to see. Wish us luck, we are going to need it for the home stretch.
Hoping for an October surprise!

KENTUCKY GROUND REPORT: What do people think of Democrat spending there?
Dear HillBuzz,
We are fairly new to Kentucky, but I wanted to write and give you my
impressions.
People in this area seem to be primarily Democrats, but fiscal and social
conservative ones. They are appalled at the spending in D.C., but religion and
traditional values are also important to Kentuckians.
Jack Conway’s “Aqua Buddha” ad is having a negative effect on Dr. Rand Paul’s
campaign, although Dr. Paul still leads in the polls. There is a story that
broke recently at The Daily Caller that Jack Conway may have tipped his brother
off about a drug investigation. I am not hearing much about this story outside
of the internet, though, so the story might not have much of an effect in the
upcoming election.
Almost all of the yard signs in this area are for Dr. Paul. I have only seen a
few for Jack Conway. But I live in a somewhat more rural area, and Conway has
more support in the cities of Louisville and Lexington.
I think this race might be a nail-biter on election night.

MINNESOTA GROUND REPORT: How's Michele Bachmann doing?
Governor Palin shoots trademarked ninja throwing star at hapless LeNa JaBrowski in Alaska
I have never seen a candidate stoop as low as was seen last night in Alaska’s senatorial debate.
Alaska’s Joe Miller is facing a tough three-way race for U.S. Senate. Though Joe decisively defeated the incumbent Senator in the primary, and though she conceded the race to him, she reneged on her primary vow to not contest the will of the people. She is now running a write-in campaign bankrolled by Beltway special interests.
I’ve seen some pretty ugly campaigning, and what they’re throwing at Joe right now is nasty. Joe’s opponents can’t run on the issues because they’re wrong on them – whether it’s repealing and de-funding Obamacare, fighting against cap-and-tax, protecting our borders, or pushing hard for responsible resource development. They can’t win in a fair fight on the issues, so they sling mud.
We saw all of this play out in the Alaska senatorial debate yesterday. (Watch the video of the debate here.) Joe took a bold stance for Alaska’s future. He called out the sitting Senator’s involvement in racking up the massive debt burden on our children and grandchildren, as well as her plan to barter over the destructive job-killing cap-and-tax legislation. As Joe said, we should focus on trading “earmarks for ANWR, not cap and trade for ANWR.”
The sitting Senator also came out against Arizona’s right to protect its borders. She called for us to “enforce the laws that are currently on the books,” but didn’t seem to understand that that is precisely what Arizona is trying to do to protect itself because the federal government refuses to enforce our laws. Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by her lackadaisical attitude to border security when we consider that she has repeatedly voted against funding a border fence and voted in favor of amnesty.
But perhaps the most shocking part of all in this debate was when the incumbent Senator used Joe Miller’s distinguished military service as a means to attack him. Joe Miller graduated from West Point, fought in Desert Storm, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service to our country. I find it astonishing that a sitting U.S. Senator from Alaska would challenge the honor of a decorated combat veteran. Is it any wonder the audience later booed her when she again challenged Joe Miller’s honor? Please watch the video of this exchange here.
We need to send a message that we’re not going to stand for this arrogant sense of entitlement and business-as-usual Beltway corruption. Joe needs our help to fight back against the influx of special interest money. Please join me in donating any amount you can spare to Joe’s campaign by clicking here. He can lead once he gets to D.C., but he’ll need our help to get to there.

CHEERS! Our Tax System Explained With Drinks At A Bar (so even Cliff Clavin can understand)
H/t Sundance for this great analogy:
Every day after work, ten guys from a small company meet up for beers. From the clerk to the company owner they all get along great. The bill for all ten comes to $100 and they decide to pay the bill the same way they pay their taxes, it goes something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) pay nothing.
The fifth pays $1.
The sixth pays $3.
The seventh pays $7.
The eighth pays $12.
The ninth pays $18.
The tenth man (the richest) pays $59.
So, that’s what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. “Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.” So drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men -the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his ‘fair share?’ They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to think about, and compare, their savings.
“I only got a dollar out of the $20, “declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,” but he got $10!”
“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a dollar, too.. It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I!”
“That’s true!!” shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!”
“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison. “We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man ‘had enough’ and didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, ladies and gentlemen, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas, or just head home, where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
BUMPED! MISCHIEF: Mess with the Democrats' internal polling and brand management. Complete their survey today!
UPDATE 10/25/10: We bumped this thread up to the top so that those of you who missed it yesterday could participate. It’s a really fun way to screw with the Democrats’ efforts regarding this survey…so if you can, please complete it for them and tell them all the things you want the Democrat Party to stand for and emphasize to voters — AKA everything that will further alienate them from voters and indulge their most self-destructive narcissistic tendencies.
*************************************************************************************************
Here’s a fun way to screw with the Democrats’ internal polling and brand management — and hopefully convince them to stay the course and keep doing crazy things voters hate instead of pulling towards the middle and trying to put their mask back on before 2012.
The Democrats rely heavily on polling…with an upper tier that is dead-set against moving the party back to the middle. This is suicide for the party, but the Leftists who now control the DNC don’t want to believe that. Instead, they want to see polls that tell them the public LOVES what the Democrats have been doing and want them to commit more of this madness between November 3rd, 2010 and November 2012.
It should be our mission to screw with as many Democrat internal polls as possible…to give these nuts the data they want to keep Obama on the wrong track for the party. This will guarantee the Democrats will keep making people furious for the next two years, so the public can wipe even more of them out in the next election (including people like Claire McCaskill in the Senate, and Obama himself in the White House).
Here’s how we filled out the Democrats’ survey:
(1) EMAIL: We used email addresses we have specially setup for mischief to complete the survey. This is very easy to do. They are free. Just go to gmail.com and register a new email. This way, you won’t get junk mail sent to your normal email address. If you haven’t already setup a fake email, you should do so because it’s useful for many things in life. Write down your email address and the password you setup and put it on a little postit that you can tape to your computer. This way, you won’t ever forget it. If you are more advanced and have multiple fake emails, you might want to consider getting a little flip notebook you can keep next to your computer with a page for each of these emails, their passwords, and sites you post on using them. This is a good way to keep track of your mischief.
(2) First name/Last name/Zip code…make up any that you want, really. Try to use the zip for a major city in your state because Democrats don’t care about people in rural areas. They only care about the cities, college towns, and the coasts and write off everything else.
QUESTIONS:
Here are our answers to the questions the survey asked. For each one, we tried to answer while keeping in mind what would do the most damage to the Democrat Party in the long term. So, for questions that asked if we thought the party was on the right track, we said it definitely was. For questions about what issues we wanted Democrats to push, we answered the ones that would alienate Democrats from the most voters. Ie, healthcare, immigration, etc. This is counterintuitive to what YOU personally want to see, so you need to think strategically. Democrats are hurt most when they are talking about things like healthcare, immigration, the environment, etc. So, that’s what they need to be encouraged to keep talking about.
Americans really want to deal exclusively with jobs…so the LAST THING we want them to actually ever talk about is jobs. Let the survey indicate Democrats need to talk nonstop about healthcare, immigration, and the environment just to keep making people mad for the next two years. That will greatly benefit conservatives.

CALIFORNIA GROUND REPORT: What's going on in San Francisco?
Ray in CA
****************************
Dear HillBuzz,
Reporting in from California. I live in the Reddest of RED parts of this state. It’s so bad for the Dems here, they don’t even bother to put anybody up against our Republican for the House of Representatives. For as long as I can remember, we had Bill Thomas in place, and now since he retired, it’s Kevin McCarthy. They do really good for us, and they are essentially a shoo-in. It’s good to be a Republican here! So since it is so boring for us Repubs – I mean really? You throw a rock and you hit one of us so all we’re doing is agreeing with each other on the big issues – going on travel to other parts of the state can sometimes be a kick in the teeth when it comes to political opinions.
When I do speak with someone of a liberal persuasion, their tone is not as antagonistic as it was during the rise of the Won. They seem more subdued. They don’t even want to talk about the latest “success” of liberalism, whatever it happens to be that day. And they certainly don’t want to talk about who they’re voting for. I think it’s because they know that a vote for Boxer or Brown means sinking our already sunk state deeper into the La Brea Tar Pits. But I could be just projecting.
Keep up the work, boys!

| Dear HillBuzz, |
|
I live in the San Francisco bay area and I have 2 co-workers who were rabid Kool-aid drinkers in 2008. The first one is a snooty doctor’s wife, bleeding heart liberal. She sees nothing wrong with taxing “other” people and social engineering of the type San Francisco is so fond of. For example, she thought it would be a fabulous idea to tax sugary drinks, chips, and cookies so “fat” people wouldn’t buy them anymore and it would solve the obesity problem. Needless to say she doesn’t use any of those products herself. Recently she told me that obama is a one-term president and she considered him a failure because “her” taxes were going to go up, considering she’s in the $250,000 and up category. Strange, when taxation affects one’s own pocketbook, how the story changes. The other co-worker is the type of liberal who thinks not only was it OK for obama to apologize to the countries he’s already apologized to, but she thinks we (America) owes the “world” an apology. Recently, due to the bungling of POTUS, she told me she will not vote for any incumbents in the upcoming election. Other than that, I haven’t heard any grumblings from moonbats on the left. But these people in San Francisco are pretty dummied down, for example, there was no hue and cry when the city announced “garbage police” to make sure people were recycling properly, with fines up to $1000. They pretty much take what is dished out by the communists who sit on the city council. Another more rational liberal co-worker, the kind that can speak calmly when discussing politics, said to me recently, “Wow, the president’s not doing so well”. Nobody at my workplace talks politics or about how great POTUS is anymore. The only ones talking politics at work are the few conservatives/Republicans. As for the liberals, crickets. |

NORTH CAROLINA GROUND REPORT: Democrats engaging in voter fraud already
ATTENTION!
Forsyth County – 100 ballots cast in alphabetical order at a single poll the last hour of election day, people allowed to vote that can’t recite their address correctly, a woman changing clothes and returning to the polls to vote again- and being allowed to do so! These are all things I’ve seen with my own eyes. In New Hanover and Craven Counties people voting a straight Republican ticket are seeing the machine cast a straight Democrat ticket just before they pull the lever. http://www.newbernsj.com/articles/machine-91656-screen-voter.html
This is an urgent call for help. YOU can make a difference in this election. YOU can help make this a fair election. YOU can volunteer to observe at a poll on election day or in early voting to monitor the voting process and keep people honest.
Every vote should count- ONCE. This is not a partisan issue. EVERYONE should want a fair election.
So what is our call to action?
Everyone is busy! But this issue is simply TOO important not to be involved. Take a day or half day off work, get a sitter, whatever you need to do. Call us at 336-407-5722 to volunteer at a poll in Forsyth County. Tea Party Patriots need to get involved. If you do not live in Forsyth County, there are other ways to help. Observer names must be registered FIVE days in advance so don’t delay, call us today! YOU can ensure this is a fair election!!
GREAT MERCIFUL ZEUS: Woman screaming homophobic slurs at Andrew Breitbart identified as Jan Schakowsky supporter and Palatine County Democrat Committeewoman Sue Walton
Sue Walton is a longtime friend and supporter of Jan Schakowsky’s. At almost every event Schakowsky holds, Sue Walton is present…and she and Schakowsky make a big public spectacle of hugging each other, telling each other how wonderful they both are, and showing their support for one another. If the Democrat Party ever staged a revival of The Golden Girls, Sue Walton would play Blanche to Schakowsky’s Dorothy…bussom buddies, each with a loud, opinionated mouth that often gets them in trouble.
FoundingBloggers did some excellent sleuthing and identified Sue Walton as the orange-tarp-wearing, rabid, homophobe who shouted “He’s gay! I think he’s gay!” at Andrew Breitbart here in Chicago when Breitbart attended the Right Nation event a few weeks ago.
Here’s a shot of the deranged Democrat in the orange tarp screaming at Breitbart:
Here’s a shot of Walton from the Palatine Democrats’ website:
This is the same woman in both photos.
She is a Democrat committeewoman who has been caught on tape screaming homophobic slurs at a union-backed political event, while wearing an orange tarp.
There are so many things offensive to the LGBTQ community in that…not even touching the orange tarp.
Shame on Democrats for this.
And shame on any gays who blind-vote Democrat when Sue Walton sure proves what Democrats really think of gays.
Constituent Letter to Dick Durbin in Illinois
With all due respect, your response (if that’s what you want to call
it, I’d call it a canned reply) is offensive to us, a working family
that you, and those like you, always seem to forget about. We’ve
worked so hard that we’ve ended up in that top tax bracket that foots
the bills of this state and this country. Please stop referring to
everyone else but us as ‘working families’. It’s pompous and self-
serving. We are hard-working residents of this state. No one works
harder than this family.
Let me count the ways:
1. My husband is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in
microsurgery. This means that he puts people’s hands back on after
horrible accidents. A lot of his patients don’t pay him for these
daily miracles that he performs, and he never complains. His practice
employs 300 people! More and more, his patients demand his services
without as much as a thank you. I blame liberals like you for this.
You’ve demonized physicians to the point where most of them would love
to retire. Thanks for that. And by the way, he didn’t start making a
living until the age of 34, and most of that new income went to pay
off loans. After college (which he paid for himself), he had to go on
for another 12 years of grueling studies to become the brilliant
surgeon that he is. 100-hour work-weeks were the norm. My daughters
and I didn’t see him for days at a time.
2. We have raised three healthy and happy children. They go to (and
have graduated from) private, catholic grade schools and high
schools. We pay their tuition with no assistance from others. We get
no tax breaks for the taxes we pay into the public school system. All
three of our children are intelligent and friendly and respectful. We
are raising them with a healthy respect for responsibility to others,
including those they don’t even know. Our oldest attends a private,
3. My husband and I have established a scholarship fund at this
college for those disadvantaged students who are interested in
entering the medical field. I’m not sure who in their right mind
would want to join the medical field in this day and age, but we have
given our hard-earned money to some stranger who dreams of being a
doctor, who will work their tail off to take care of others.
4. We donate quite generously to about 20 charities and organizations
per year. We personally donate our time and efforts to many of these
groups. We enjoy doing it and expect our children to do the same.
5. We pay enough personal property taxes to support a small family.
We pay enough federal, state and other miscellaneous taxes to support
a very large family in total luxury. Yet, what do we get in return?
Snotty remarks from politicians like you. We have never received a
thank you or a pat on the back, or a hearty handshake for any of these
taxes we’ve paid dutifully over the years. Never. Nothing. And
please don’t say that we are wealthy and “fortunate”. We are not
wealthy and we’ve earned every penny that we’ve ever made. Nothing
has ever been given to us. Everything that we have is because of hard
work.
6. We don’t break any laws. We pay our taxes on time. We are
raising happy, responsible children who are kind to others and who
will be upstanding and contributing members of society. We recycle.
We drive hybrids. We are consumers who are helping this economy when
many of our acquaintances aren’t able to. And yet it seems to us that
you don’t think we are doing quite enough. Why is that? What more do
you expect from taxpayers such as us? As you put it, is this “Fair
and fiscally responsible” to disrespect your major tax providers?
I don’t expect a response to this, so don’t bother sending another
computer-generated answer. A genuine, interested response would be
welcome.
