HORRIFYING: Have you seen this Obamacare chart?

Posted at October 3, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // Hillbuzz

Seriously.

Have you seen this chart?

This needs to be presented to every single elderly person in this country…and everyone in their 40s and 50s who takes care of anyone who has chronic illness or has been through the grief of watching someone they know deal with sickness.

This chart is terrifying.

This is what’s going to happen if Obamacare is not repealed in full.

This is what’s going to happen if Democrats aren’t purged from office.

Do you want to deal with THAT CHART, and carry it around in your glove compartment like a road map to Hell, because you might someday need that monster to navigate the Byzantine maze Obamacare has created for our healthcare industry?

Each of you need to get that chart to five people you know. I don’t care how busy you are today, or how many pancakes you want to make this Sunday morning, or how much you need to drive around town doing this or that.

Five people — each of you.

Preferably older ones who would have never seen this on the Internets on their own and who need to know just how horrific Obamacare is going to be so that they can vote this mess out come November 2nd.

Did Barack Obama kill Las Vegas…on purpose?

Posted at October 3, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // Hillbuzz

One of my good friends just got back from a bachelorette’s party in Las Vegas and said “it was a ghost town”, describing the casinos in the middle of the night as “that hotel in The Shining where all those ghosts were”.  I haven’t been to Vegas since the 2008 campaign, when I went down there to work the caucus for Hillary Clinton, but back then, just two years ago, it was the same Vegas I remembered from the only other trip I’d ever made there, a decade before: up all night, casinos packed through the dawn, people spending money and having fun, hotel staff raking in so much cash they lived it up themselves.

It was a non-stop, party and celebration of fun, as its very reason for being.

And then, after becoming president, Obama condemned Las Vegas and any businesses that held conventions there, putting the screws on government agencies to stop holding their trade shows there as well (despite the fact our illustrious, Ivy League educated president didn’t comprehend the simple fact that all government expenditures are related to RFPs sent out to a good number of convention sites across the country, where cities put together bid packages to win a convention, and 95% of the time the lowest-bidding city wins the deal…which, in Las Vegas’ case, meant that LAS VEGAS was the lowest bidder for those conventions…so not only has Obama damaged Las Vegas’ economy to the point of collapse but he’s also costing the government more money in general since now conventions that are still happening are going to the SECOND LOWEST bid city, and who knows how much money is being wasted as a result). It’s almost like he purposefully wanted to destroy “Sin City” because it’s a symbol of American indulgence and pure capitalism that offends the Muslim sensibilities he was raised with in Indonesia.

Hmmmmm.

Here’s another article in the Star Tribune talking about Las Vegas being in the midst of the absolute worst financial nightmare the city’s ever experienced.

Massive hotels are shuttering, laying off 400 people at a time.  Large fantasy projects that would have created jobs for thousands have been permanently canceled, not just put on “let’s wait Obama’s presidency out hold”.  The construction industry in Vegas is dead, and will take years to jump start again when the Obamaconomy nightmare finally does end in 2013.

There’s a great comment just below the Star Tribune piece that really hits things home:

Obama To Blame – Obama Has Destroyed Millions Of Jobs

That INCOMPETENT, UNQUALIFIED, arrogant fool Barack Obama is largely to blame. He shoots his mouth off trashing business and business travel like conventions and guess what: travel and convention tourism drops. Read this: – http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2009/feb/26/wynn-obamas-remarks-have-hit-convention-business/ – “Steve Wynn touched on more than just finances during Tuesday’s Wynn Resorts earnings call. The casino owner joined city officials in their criticism of President Obama’s remarks on corporations spending taxpayer dollars in Las Vegas. “The president, in what amounted to a slip of the tongue, I imagine, said he doesn’t think the people who received benefits from the government should be going on junkets to expensive places or Las Vegas for wasteful spending … which stigmatized the convention business that could come to Las Vegas,” Wynn said. Wynn said since the president made his remarks, a large corporation that didn’t receive taxpayer dollars pulled out of a $5 million convention at his resorts. “It was a direct result of the comment made by the president,” Wynn said. “Whatever the president’s intentions were, it gives you an idea of how sensitive the public is.””

We just don’t understand the Democrat talking heads who insist Harry Reid is going to retain his Senate seat, not when Democrats have caused so much harm to the largest city in the state.

If Vegas itself is hurting, how much is the rest of Nevada suffering because of the last two years of Democrat rule?

We don’t know Nevada, or its people, and have never much studied its politics…so we don’t understand Harry Reid’s support base, or why voters would send him back to Washington.

It seems like Republicans have ample ammunition to decimate Democrats statewide in Nevada, if people are aware of just how much damage Obama personally did to Las Vegas alone.

The GOP is indeed the Party of Stupid, excelling eternally of snatching defeat from victory’s jaws and fouling up even a perfect hand it’s dealt.

But, seriously?

Re-electing Harry Reid when he’s a Nevada proxy for Obama himself…in a state that Obama’s almost single-handedly driven into the ground…because of what we here believe had to be a personal desire of his to see the gambling, vice, and entertainment mecca taken down more than a few pegs because of how much it’s very existence offends Islam.

Is anyone following the goings-on in Las Vegas and greater Nevada who can shed a neon spotlight on what’s happening there?

Click to embiggen -- the drag Disney Villains

What’s on your mind this Sunday?

What are people in your part of the country talking about today?

************************************************************

Because yesterday we talked so much about Disney and the new Rapunzel movie “Tangled” opening up soon, the above’s a shot of a bunch of drag queens done up as Disney Villains for Halloween.

The costumes are incredible — can’t buy any of that in stores.

We’ve long thought about doing male versions of these characters (like what their sons would look like, if they had sons)  because women often take male characters and turn them into females (Baberaham Lincoln or Sexy Captain Hook, for instance) — but last year K. tried that with a Man-dusa snakes-for hair costume that went over like a cement balloon.  No one got it, being Medusa’s kid brother.  Which was a shame, because the Elvis-esque snake wig (complete with rattlesnake sideburns) was fun for K. to make, and took about a month to put together.

Oh, well.  When dealing with the public in Boystown, expecting them to “get” something that’s outside of the box just sets yourself up for easily foreseeable disappointment.

**********************************

Some people think that everything in Boystown is set to Lady GaGa music, and that just about everything done here, no matter how mundane, is fun because just about everyone puts a little bit of wiggle into it, with big smiles, and every day is an excuse to have a great time.

They’re right.

There’s no reason everything you do can’t be a blast.

That wedding dress you have in your closet that you are never, ever going to wear again would be much more fun if you turned it into a Katy Perry Hot N’ Cold costume and wore it when you were vacuuming the living room, with the music cranked up and your baby bouncing in its crib because mommy is so fun.

Why AREN’T flight attendants coreographing dance moves to make the safety presentations interesting?

How many ways can you make life a little more fun, and get more enjoyment out of it, by being cheeky, bebopping to music you like, and having a blast when other people would be humdrum and boring?

Life is so, so short.  It’s one Hell of a party if you want it to be…or you can be a grump on a plane frowning and negative while those around you are dancing and enjoying every minute of their time here.

***********************************************************

Here’s a great behind-the-scenes video of the making of Disney’s Rapunzel story, “Tangled”.

After the misfire that was Princess & the Frog, the first thing Disney apparently did to guarantee the success of this picture was to hire super hot guys as the Directors.

Looks like it worked.

We’re really starting to get excited for this movie.

Did we mention how hot the Directors are?  Because they are.

A super cute baby costume idea for Halloween.

The mom or dad is the chef, and the little guy or girl is the crustacean.

Reminds me of the Anne Geddes shots that were really popular as coffee table books and greeting cards in the late 90s.

Seeing other people’s creativity is just a joy to us — please send us great pics of any costumes you know of all month in the leadup to Halloween
