Sometimes, things like this read like we’ve made them up, but it’s actually true that John Kerry wore a button-down shirt and tie to play a softball game against Hottie McAwesome Scott Brown’s Senate staff.
We’d love to see an actual picture of this. The only talent Kerry has in life is being photographed looking like a complete horse’s ass. It’s truly a gift from a laughing, joyful, sarcastic, cigar-chomping God if ever there was one.
In the article, there’s mention of HRH Princess Caroline of Kennedy’s son, Jack Schlossberg, being one of Kerry’s summer interns. How nice the royal family gets to send yet another little prince to Washington. In our humble opinion, anyone with Kennedy DNA should be banned permanently from Washington city limits. In The Golden Age of Hope and Change that is the Obama presidency, all sorts of crazy, unconstitutional, poorly thought out things are being done every single day. A ban on all Kennedys in Washington would be the best thing this administration has ever done — not to give these people any ideas on how to improve those opinion polls.
But, back to Kerry.

Everyone else wore baseball tee shirts and shorts. Much to our chagrin, Scott Brown did not play in just a jock and a smile, but had a team jersey and shorts on too. Like a normal person. Unlike Kerry.
Sometimes, with Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd now dead, we forget there are still awful Democrats left in the Senate. With two of the worst, most disgusting ones gone (a murderer and a klansman, no less), the like of Kerry and Barbara Boxer are now at the top of the Most Terrible Members of the Senate List.
Come to think of it, how would you fill out the Top Ten of these people?
Would you include the Weird Sisters of Maine in there too, or just keep the Most Terrible to actual Democrats?

For those of you reading us for any length of time, you’ll notice odd ways we phrase certain things, or times when we refuse to use a person’s real name, and opt for a nickname instead. Most everything we do in this vein is deliberate. Calling the current “president” Dr. Utopia instead of “Obama” is something we did to highlight his cult of personality and undermine the effectiveness of his magical-sounding name to the Kool-Aid crowd that practically masturbated whenever they heard it. ”Dr. Utopia” they didn’t like so much, and it more often than not made them come unhinged, because it drew attention to the nonsensical “utopia” of Hope and Change this “president” promised, but never delivered, the nation.
Names have great power.
For the entirety of this site, we’ve never referred to Leftists as “progressives” the way they prefer to be called. We were raised using the term “Liberals”, and have done our best to phase that out and use “Leftists” instead as much as possible. There is nothing really “liberal” about these people, who are draconian, fascist, and ruthless in their operations. These are not live and let live people. They are agenda-driven, stop at nothing, force their will upon others…the opposite of “liberal” in our books.
We’re wondering what you think of a new change in verbiage: calling the Left “Oppressives” instead of either “progressives”, “Leftists”, or “liberals”.

Journolist Archives prove Media coordinated assault on Sarah Palin to secure Obama election
On July 29th, 2008, K. did a TV spot for CBS here in Chicago reacting to the announcement of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s running mate. We’d been advocating Governor Palin as the ideal McCain VP choice for some time, and the McCain campaign in Illinois called K. up that morning and asked him to do a man-on-the-street reaction to the announcement, since he’d been studying Governor Palin and writing about her. After he did the spot, shortly before Governor Palin was introduced to America by McCain in Dayton, K. walked over to the big screen TVs in the square off Michigan Avenue where the NBC studio sits. There, he watched the Media coverage of Palin’s introduction with a crowd of Chicagoans.
K. remembers seeing Palin emerge and walk onto the stage, dressed in a sharp black suit, as the crowd in Ohio went wild.
In Chicago, the Liberals around him cringed, as that excitement and energy reverberated through the large screens and smacked them in the face.
K. will never forget two Liberal women, clutching each other, faces blanched, with true dread in their eyes.
“What are we going to do now? She’s incredible. He can win now, with her. What are we going to do?”.
“We need to destroy her. We need the media to destroy her”.
“They need to do their job. They need to destroy her”.
And try to destroy her the Media did.
Just like those two Chicago Libs wanted them…expected them…to do.
Conservatives4Palin has a great piece up today about the Journolist Archives and the record kept there of the national media conspiring together to attack Governor Palin, destroy her, and do whatever it took to secure a win for Obama the Lightbringer…including savaging infant Trig Palin, mocking his Down’s Syndome, and creating lies about his parentage.
It’s chilling seeing this in black and white right in front of you, even if, like us, you knew this was going on the whole time.

QUESTION: What building projects have been canceled because of public outcry in this country?
Please use this thread to help us research building projects in this country that were canceled because of public outcry, for one reason or another.
The first thing that comes to mind is Disney’s America…an ill-conceived project Walt Disney began in the 1990s that would have seen a Disney Park constructed somewhere in Virginia, near historic battlefields from the Civil War. The project was scrapped because Civil War preservationists claimed the park would disturb the solemnity of the area and cause damage to the historic battlefields nearby.
Saudi Arabia has much more money than Disney, and the wahabbist Saudis are very much behind this Victory Mosque (which is not surprising, considering 15 of the 19 Muslim hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis). Disney’s corporate interests realized bad publicity from pushing Disney’s America on Virginia without public support would hurt their share prices, no matter how much CEO Michael Eisner pushed this pet project. King Falafel the Hutt over in Riyadh doesn’t care how much he has to spend to get this Victory Mosque built, and could care less about bad publicity. Islam is the great evil of our time, and its bent on the conquest of this country. It’s not going to be stopped by some bad press the way Disney was.
But, that doesn’t mean the Victory Mosque project won’t be stopped the way Disney’s America was stopped.
What we need to do is study what happened with other building projects that were halted because of public outcry.
In Cleveland, during the 1980s, plans were approved by the city to tear down all of the old theaters on Euclid Avenue and turn them into parking lots. The public rebelled against this, and the city stopped that plan, and allowed an outside group to sweep in, buy the buildings, refurbish them, and turn them into what’s now The Playhouse Square Center (the largest performing arts complex outside of New York City).
So, that’s an example of a corporate interest that owned land being forbidden by a municipality from tearing buildings down that the public wanted to save.
What other examples do you know of where the public was mobilized to throw a wrench in construction plans?
Has there ever been an instance where Islamists wanted to build something as offensive as the Victory Mosque and were thwarted…anywhere in the world?
Have other religions tried to build something, anywhere, and were prevented because building whatever that was would have offended the people who lived there?
We need to study these instances, learn how the public got involved and pressured local authorities, and then pattern a concerted effort to take down this Victory Mosque after what’s worked in the past.

The Republican Party has neither the spine nor the vision to seize opportunities that present themselves on a regular basis in politics.
It is forever timid and afraid of backlash from the Leftist-controlled Media (which Republicans forever court, like the ugly girl at the school dance, dreaming forever of being asked onto the floor by one of the cute boys…who never ask her to dance, and only laugh at her for wanting it so badly).
Currently, Islam is moving ahead with plans to build a Victory Mosque at Ground Zero in New York City as a monument of the Islamic conquest of America. This is a longstanding tradition in Islam. Wherever Muslims slaughter their enemies in a battle they consider spectacular, they build a mosque upon some of the earth they stain with their victims’ blood. That mosque then becomes a symbol to Islamists everywhere of victory, and the further spread of their particular brand of evil in the world.
Idiot Democrats in New York are allowing this Victory Mosque to be built. Democrats nationally, controlled as they are by the Left, see nothing wrong with giving this victory to Islam.
Our good friend Jane died in one of the Towers on 9/11. Jane was murdered by Muslims, by Islam, in the battle that this Victory Monument intends to commemorate. Jane was a foul-mouthed, spunky, take-no-prisoners, never surrender, live-life-to-the-fullest, proud American. She was struck down by Muslims in the prime of her life, before she ever got to do many of the things she wanted to do. She never got married. She was never a mom. She never got to run that triathlon she would have creamed her competitors in. She never made partner in her firm and never got to hold court in her career at the top of her game, the way she would be, right now, if Muslims hadn’t murdered her nine years ago.
Jane’s ghost haunts us sometimes. Whenever we see the Left ceding more of America to Islam, we hear Jane raging in the beyond. ”Don’t you faggots let them get away with this,” Jane roars, in the expletive-laced, politically-incorrect, lovable way she put things in life. “Put down the damn cocktails and focus. Find some way to stop this Victory Mosque. You can look at those pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal some more tomorrow, for Chrissakes. I’m dead up here, and I need you to kick some sorry Muslim butt for me since they murdered me and now I can’t do this myself”.
If Jane had survived 9/11, if she had been one of the lucky ones to make it out of those buildings alive, she’d no doubt be on the front lines hitting this Victory Mosque project with everything she’s got.
Since Jane’s not here, we need to take her place…and we need all of your help in doing this too.
Here’s what we are up against: Democrats in New York are going to allow this Victory Mosque to be built at Ground Zero, with the support of the worthless Michael Bloomberg. We’re handicapped at the get-go in all of this because we still can’t understand why New Yorkers re-elected this awful man to yet another term. Since we can’t wrap our heads around that, we realize we don’t have a full appreciation of New York politics. People there were smart enough to doom HRH Princess Caroline of Kennedy’s power grab for a Senate seat in 2008, and laughed her campaign out of contention before it even began. So, score one for New Yorkers in that particular instance of great clarity. But, keeping Bloomberg in office, when he’s clearly the Left’s spokesman in most things makes us realize that while New Yorkers rejected the Democrat Party’s royalty in Princess Caroline, the people of New York don’t reject the Left when it presents itself in human form (ie, Bloomberg).
Since the Left is strongly allied with Islam, that means Leftist-controlled New York is a place where a Victory Mosque could actually rise high above Ground Zero, with few in the city doing anything to stop it.
That’s why this issue needs to go national.
Democrats in New York will not listen to their own angry constituents, because they are too Leftist for that. The Left supports Islam, and the Islamization of the West. Democrats in New York will ignore the 9/11 survivors and the families who lost loved ones on the day Islam attacked America. It offends basic decency, but this is what Democrats in New York do.
But, nationally, Americans have a chance to tie the Democrat Party inextricably to this Victory Mosque in such a way that the Left will be forced to retreat on it, and will put a halt to its construction. Democrats in New York believe they can do whatever they want and be re-elected by the blind party voting fools that make up their constituencies. They’re right. Michael Bloomberg’s re-election proves how stupid most voters in Manhattan are.
BUT, coast to coast, Democrats will be toast if they are presented to the public as the Party that’s behind building an Islamic Victory Mosque at Ground Zero.
Every Democrat in office, or seeking office in November, needs to be forced onto the record supporting this Victory Mosque. Voters need to know if someone seeking office is FOR building an Islamic monument on ground drenched in the blood of people like our friend Jane.
Do Americans want the Islamic call to prayer to echo through the urban canyons where thousands of Americans ran screaming for their lives the day Muslims rammed jets into buildings to stab at the heart of our country?
If Democrats do not support this Victory Mosque, then they need to get on board to stop it.
The plans for this abomination have passed the planning commission in Manhattan, but that does not mean this building will ever be built.
In addition to politicians, Americans need to target the construction companies that would bid for this job. They need to be put on notice that the American public does not want this building constructed, and that if they build the Victory Mosque at Ground Zero their company will forever be seen as having participated in one of the greatest injustices to ever befall this country. A large campaign should be waged to lobby that construction firm’s clients to drop them, lest they be connected to this Victory Mosque as well.
Next year will be the ten year anniversary of these murders in the name of Islam.
We cannot allow time to dull our pain or allow us to forget what was done on American soil. Anyone who helps move this Victory Mosque project forward needs to be branded a Muslim accessory to the defamation of the memories of all those murdered on that terrible day.
This is very personal for us. Stopping this abomination from being built is a new passion of ours.
It’s going to take a lot of hard work and creativity, because Democrats in New York are hellbent on claiming the Islamic owners of that property in lower Manhattan have a right to build whatever they want there. Somehow, we think if the property owner wanted to build a giant dildo sculpture, someone would stop them. It would be declared indecent and vile, and some obscure zoning rule would prevent it.
Well, the Victory Mosque is obscene and vile. Any army of American-loving lawyers needs to work overtime finding whatever obstacles are out there to keep this thing from ever being built.
Simultaneously, pressure needs to be put on the Democrat Party at large to take a stand on this matter — and either be painted as the party that wants to build an Islamic Victory Mosque at Ground Zero as a permanent monument to American dhimmihood and the conquest of this country by Islam or to be the party that goes on record saying it’s against this abomination.
And if they are against it, they need to be pressured to stop this monstrosity dead in its tracks.
A Victory Mosque should not be allowed to rise from the ashes of a building Muslims smashed to the ground nine years ago.
It’s unfathomable this project has gotten this far…and unconsciounable for any of us to allow this to be built without one Hell of a fight.

BREAKING: Ku Klux Klan buys land adjacent to Martin Luther King center in Atlanta; plans to build "cultural and educational center" there
In a shocking turn of events that has galvanized Democrats into action, the Ku Klux Klan has announced the purchase of land adjacent to the Martin Luther King Center in Atlanta, Georgia, so it can build the 13-story “Robert K. Byrd Memorial Cultural and Edumacational Center” to tower over a site considered sacred to those committed to the civil rights movement in this country. The Klan’s building, once completed, will cast a long dark shadow that will fall over King’s burial place itself, blotting the sun, and become a permanent eyesore that will enrage all who come to visit the MLK Center.
Inside the building, there will be room for thousands of klansmen to meet, high above the MLK Center, with prominent views of all of Atlanta. There will be a gym, a swimming pool, banquet facilities, a klan library, and various accommodations for all manner of Grand Dragons, Exalted Cyclopses, and other crazily-named people important to the klan.
Al Sharpton, when reached for comment, was rolling around on the ground in his office, foaming at the mouth. An assistant got on the line and promised Sharpton would do everything he could to stop this monstrosity from being built. When told the klan had passed a planning commission’s meeting, legally owned the land, and had architects drawing up plans for the Klan Victory Monument’s construction, the Sharpton aide definitively stated that “no planning commission is going to have the final say on this. This building is evil, and it’s being built here, next to the MLK Center, to spit in our faces> They are purposefully doing this to make a point, like the point on their cowardly white-sheeted heads. We are not going to let this happen. We are not going to let them build next to hallowed ground where Dr. King is buried. We are going to fight them with every fiber of our being”.
Democrats, pressured by the black community, have leapt into action, brainstorming ways to prevent this Klan Victory Memorial from being built, despite the fact this building has cleared the planning commission’s approval phase. Every Democrat from NYC to LA has come out to declare this building to be an abomination.
Democrat leaders are pressuring the construction and craft unions to boycott this project, so that no union worker will lift a finger to build the Klan Victory Monument.
Democrats’ large donors have been burning up the phones demanding every Democrat politician do whatever he or she can to declare the land adjacent to the King Center a historic site of some kind, so that no Klan Victory Monument can be built there. Eminent domain, which had been used by cities to grab private homes in the past to make way for office parks, is now being planned for the Klan’s desired parcel of land…so that something else can be built there that won’t cause trauma and heartache for the residents and visitors to the area.
Democrats are pulling out all the stops to stop this Ku Klux Klan Victory Monument from being built next to the Martin Luther King Center…in an alternate dimension.
Here, on the Earth we know, Democrats are doing absolutely nothing to stop the 13-story, grossly imposing Victory Mosque from being built at Ground Zero…over the ruins of a building that was destroyed by the fuselage of one of the aircrafts Muslims hijacked to crash into the Twin Towers, to murder as many Americans as possible.
The Left in this country works hand in hand with Islam to bring America down. The Democrats, controlled by the Left, are supporting the construction of the Victory Mosque, which will become a site of great pride in Islam…just as Islam has built victory mosques at the sites of other battles they believe they won.
If Democrats would not allow a Ku Klux Klan monument to be built next to the Martin Luther King Center, then why are they allowing this Victory Mosque to be built by Islam over the graves of so many Americans who were murdered by Muslims on 9/11/01?
Every Democrat in American needs to be put on record as either supporting this Victory Mosque or opposing it. They need to be held accountable for their stance on this. Those that support this need to be taken care of by voters in the upcoming elections. Those that oppose it need to be urged to do everything they possibly can to prevent Islam from victimizing New York again with the construction of this monstrosity. If they would presumably manage to keep the Klan from getting its way, then they can be creative enough to keep Islam from winning as well.
Let’s start getting Democrats on record with this…and personally all pledge to keep the Victory Mosque from ever being built.
Michael Steele cancels Chicago fundraising event so he won't be seen with Lee Roupas and Beth Christie
"What do you mean, Chairman Steele's not coming? Doesn't he know who I am? I'm Beth Christie, and I've got my checkbook out. That means I gets what I wants. If I wants a party, I gets a party. Ga-rowwwwwl".
RNC Chairman Michael Steele was supposed to host a $500/person fundraising event here in Chicago tonight — an event that was to be chaired by multi-millionaire cougar Beth Christie, no less, with CYR board member and Cook County GOP employee “The Prophet” snugly on her arm. Disgraced Cook County GOP Chair Lee Roupas was supposed to attend the event, and sit on the other side of Beth Christie on the dais.
Someone at RNC told Chairman Steele about this eminent tableau, and Steele canceled the event. It’s to be rescheduled at a later date, once things have settled down and – presumably – people stop talking about the sex scandal and cover-up Lee Roupas is engaged in with the Cook County GOP.
Don’t expect too many prominent Republicans to hit Chicago for events any time soon — not if they’ll have to be photographed with Beth Christie, Lee Roupas, or “The Prophet” if they come anywhere near here.

Just a reminder: there is nothing we dislike more in the world than people who complain about comments not turning up in a thread. It’s irritating, because there’s just nothing we can do about it. Wordpress is a terrible platform, but it’s the only one we’ve got. Its spam filter runs on a weird algorithm that detects all sorts of things as spam that aren’t. It requires someone to literally sit by the screen — ALL DAY — approving every comment that goes into the spam queue. If our computers are down, or if we are all busy working, then no one is available to sit there, waiting for comments to go into moderation. Misspellings, bad language, certain word combinations, use of all-caps, more than one link in a comment…all sorts of things cause the WordPress filter to see things as spam.
It is beyond our control.
It’s a shame we have to periodically keep saying this, but it’s actually very hard to run this site. It takes all of our free time, and we give up a lot of fun things to spend at least 9 hours a day, most days, on the computer reading and writing for HB. It’s a volunteer effort that’s made more difficult by the negativity of the “where’s my comment? why hasn’t my comment posted? why is my comment in moderation?” crowd. Sometimes, these people are worse than trolls. None of us are parents, but there are times when the “where’s my comment?” folks feel like dozens of small children in a nursery that need constant minding. There is no one who can watch these people 24/7 and chase after them to make sure their remarks post — after WordPress has decided they are spammers for whatever reason.
If you do this, please stop. If you see other people doing it, please tell them to stop. It would make things a lot easier for us.
NOTE: Just for the curious, this morning, waking up at 612am CST, there are 692 comments waiting in moderation. Most of those are spam from computers in Asia that autopost hundreds of links to generic Cialis and other drugs. There’s probably about 100 hate posts from the Left in there too. Then there are comments from those of you who have not signed up for Avatars through Gravatar.com yet — so we have to read each of those comments to see if they are from trolls, or if they are legit. The comments that have avatars we recognize are the easiest to clean out of moderation…we just look for the pictures and don’t even read the contents and approve them. Each page has 20 comments on it at a time. It takes about 3-5 minutes per page. Sorting through the 692 comments in moderation will probably take about an hour or more this morning. And that’s before we have a chance to get any new articles written for the day or check out what’s breaking in the news.
Just so you know what goes into these comments, moderation, and the other things we deal with behind the scenes. So the next time you feel like complaining about something not posting for you right away, please think about what we’ve just said above. Thanks.
QUESTION: Can white farmers in Georgia file a class action suit against the Department of Agriculture for racial discrimination?
Here’s a question we’d like all legal minds to chime in on. Perhaps even Professor Jacobsen over at LegalInsurrection could be persuaded to weigh in on it, too, at his always enlightening site (one of our favorites).
Considering the fact Andrew Breitbart just busted a Department of Agriculture high muckety-muck for announcing to the NAACP that she used racial discrimination in her decision making process, regarding which farmers in Georgia she believed were entitled to US taxpayer funds…and that she freely admitted to doing whatever she could to make sure white people did not get as much money as they were entitled to…can farmers who were denied the full benefits available to them under this woman’s tenure sue the state of Georgia, the Department of Agriculture, or the federal government itself for discrimination?
In cases like this, we all need to ask ourselves, “What would Al Sharpton do? What would Jesse Jackson do? What would Henry Gates do?”. If the discrimination was against the other skin color, these three shameless hucksters and grievance-mongers would be convulsing in the streets, clamoring for JUSTICE! and a huge payout to all the victims (minus the hefty commission paid out to the Sharpton-Jackson shakedown gang, of course).
Can someone out there tell us if this woman’s admission, that she abused her power to intentially discriminate against applicants because of their skin color, allows Georgia farmers to sue?
If so, what sort of damages would they be entitled to?
Who else out there wants to start attending NAACP events to see what sort of stuff we could catch on camera, too?
