PHOTOSHOP CHALLENGE: The Republican Lost Boys

Posted at June 11, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

When we were in Disney World for Gay Days last week, we rode the Peter Pan ride, and were trapped on it for a good fifteen minutes when the thing broke down – leaving us dangling over a little miniature of the island occupied by the Lost Boys.  There they were, all huddled together, around a camp fire, and in their woodland animal garb we were inspired to think about the Republican Party’s own Lost Boys, those cucumber-and-mayonnaise-soggy-sandwich eating GOP born losers the Media’s been pushing for the 2012 nomination over Governor Sarah Palin.

Mitt Romney.  Tim Pawlenty.  John Thune.  Bobby Jindal. Jon Huntsman.  Mitch Daniels.

We’d love to see these guys depicted, eating their soggy sandwiches, in woodland critter inspired footy-jammies like the Lost Boys above…as we’d also like to start calling them, collectively, the GOP’s “Lost Boys”.

Little boys.

Little wimps.

Characters who can’t get the job done in 2012, with their fumbling, and bumbling, and sandwich-munching.

Governor Palin, on the other hand, will be depicted like Peter Pan in that second picture.  Strong, standing tall, decisive, in charge.

American Artemis, superior to these fey bumblers in every way.

What animals should each of the Lost Boys be?

Let’s not use strong animals like the moose, the wolf, the eagle, or the grizzly, because those animals we want reserved for the Governor’s campaign motifs.

Instead, let’s put the Lost Boys into skunk, bunny, beaver, muskrat, squirrel, and other small, scurrying woodland critter jammies.

We could have an awful lot of fun with this…and could conceivably help derail these losing presidential campaigns before they even begin.

Fun project for those in Alaska: follow disgraced Joe McGinnis around and irritate the heck out of him

Posted at June 11, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Joe McGinnis is sick, sick, sick.

Here’s a great idea from a reader we had to share:

I’ve been thinking about that “disgraced” Joe McGinnis moving next to Sarah Palin and harrassing her. (I saw the word “disgraced” attached to his name, but couldn’t find out why). I think turnabout is fair play.

I think there should be a large contingent of people who follow Joe McGinnis around. EVERYWHERE HE TURNS, THERE SHOULD BE FIVE OR SIX PEOPLE DOGGING HIS EVERY MOVE. Taking pictures of him when he goes to the post office, the grocery store, the gas station, the video store, the UPS store, JC Penney’s, WalMart. They can follow him down all the aisles as he steers his cart, take pictures of everything he buys, ask him pointless questions, look through his garbage, follow his car everywhere he goes (there should be at a minimum of 4 cars following him everywhere he goes), surround him with questions as innocuous as “is the sky blue, in your opinion?” “Where do you get your oil changed?” “How often do you get your tires rotated?” “What type of paper do you use in your printer.” “What type of printer do you have?” Do you have a PC or a Mac. What do you think of Macs versus PCs?”

I mean, just bug the everliving cr*p out of this guy. Ring his doorbell, set up cameras to record everything this guy does. Sit next to him in public places, buy the same type of ice cream cone he buys at Baskin Robbins, etc. etc. etc. Surround this guy!!!!! Nothing illegal (I can think of plenty), just annoying, time-consuming, and as intrusive as possible.

Do you get my drift? Make this guy’s life as intolerable as he is making Sarah’s. Stick like glue to this yokel. Alinsky this sh*t-head.

We also think McGinnis’ son and the rest of his family should be brought into this too, because we think they should talk some sense into this man.

It’s beyond pervy that he has rented out the house next to the Palins and has been photographed with binoculars peering across the lawn and into Piper Palin’s window.  If any man we know was doing something like this, whatever his intentions, we would take him aside and let him know how much this makes him look like a would-be child molester.  You are looking at your neighbors’ house with binoculars.  At the side of the house where a young girl’s bedroom window is.  You have no business on Earth to be training your binoculars in that direction, no matter what you claim you are doing.

It’s just wrong.

And it gives a VERY bad impression of your character, and the character of your family members that allow you to get away with doing this.

We sure wish Alaska was closer to Illinois, so we could go there and tell Joe McGinnis this ourselves, and follow the suggestion above and photograph him all day, ask him inane questions until he can’t stand it anymore, rummage through his garbage, draw unflattering pictures of him with crayons, and generally drive him insane and suck up all of his energy so he’d be too tired and on edge to lift his binoculars and peep into little girls’ windows.

Sick.

Sick, sick, sick.

READING LIST: What are the best books to read on Big Oil and Energy Policy?

Posted at June 11, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

We believe oil and energy will be big campaign issues in 2012, and will form a large part of Governor Palin’s platform in her presidential race.

We want to be ready to speak at length on these issues, and hopefully surrogate speak for the Governor in the months and years ahead…so, we want to spend this summer studying up on Big Oil, energy policy, and how specifically Alaska has handled oil production and exploration.

Please chime in with any good reading material you know on the subject, and help us create a reading list of books we can get for the shelves of Buzzquarters to make us experts on the topic.

What books do you suggest and why?

Are there other great sources of information on this topic?

Please share and explain why you chose them.

QUESTION: How insane is it that New York state might close on Monday?

Posted at June 11, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Republicans really are the Party of Stupid.

They could have very easily picked up the New York Governor’s mansion, and BOTH US Senate seats, in this fall’s election if only they’d run decent candidates for these offices, because Democrats under Governor Paterson are cratering the state.

Why on Earth George Pataki and Rudy Giuliani aren’t running for office this year is just beyond us, because they’d win in a heartbeat. Instead, clowns like Rick Lazlo are being put up to lose to bad Democrats. It’s maddening.

On Monday, Governor Paterson is threatening to close down the state of New York, creating immense chaos and absolute anarchy as he continues to negotiate in disputes over the budget.

There must be IMMENSE spending cuts in all states to weather the current economic crisis — NOT more taxes, as most Democrats want.

Chris Christie’s got the right idea in New Jersey, and corruptocrats are fighting him tooth and nail.

Corruptocrats in New York are resisting budget cuts, and so far Paterson’s holding his ground and insisting upon them…but if he really does close the state government on Monday, that’s going to reverberate into November, as the people inconvenienced by this will want to make their displeasure known.

It’s a shame the Party of Stupid didn’t see this coming and have good candidates in place to take advantage of that angst and anger.

It’s a shame there aren’t Chris Christies out there in New York, and here in Illinois.

We need to clone that man, pronto.

Former President and First Lady George W. and Laura Bush are on Facebook.

Posted at June 11, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

You should follow former President and First Lady George W. and Laura Bush on Facebook.

President Bush just started posting a few days ago, but it looks like Mrs. Bush has been making posts for a while, updating on her schedule, especially regarding her book tour.

If anyone knows if she’ll be coming anywhere near Chicago, please let us know.  We’d love to meet her.

*******************

Here’s something fun, and very gracious of Mrs. Bush (as is typical with her).  If you bought her book, Spoken From the Heart, you can get her autograph by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to her at President Bush’s office. This is a bookplate sticker that you then add to your book by sticking it to the main page inside.

We’ve sent away for some of these today, and will let you know when they come.

We’ve NEVER heard of someone being so kind as to offer something like this for people who can’t get a chance to meet her on her book tour, which seems to only be going to places in the South and West.

QUESTION: Is the Obama Administration covering up a Muslim terrorist attack on the US at Grand Isle, Louisiana?

Posted at June 11, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Please read this report here, concerning average Americans trying to report on something the Media has been ordered to embargo.

Now, we need you to dig into a mystery that’s alluded to in the above report.

Despite the Media claiming oil’s hitting the American coast in the Gulf, there have been no pictures of the oil-stained beaches, and just a handful of shots of dirty pelicans and a few other birds covered in oil.  The Gulf Oil Disaster has been billed as much worse than the Exxon spill in Alaska, but we remember almost instant and prolonged video coverage of every critter and patch of beach that was tainted by oil back in the 80s.

Maybe this sort of thing is only properly photographed and cataloged when a Republican is president.  When a Democrat is in the Oval, the Media could possibly run out of film.

OR something far worse could be happening that the White House is trying to cover up.

In the piece linked above, its’s speculated that the Deepwater Horizon explosion could be used as a diversion from something even worse that’s happening, but is not being reported on.  What if Muslims have attacked some sort of oil operation on Grand Isle in Louisiana, or somewhere else in the Gulf, and the damage done there is such a blow to the US energy producing sector that Obama is not allowing reporting on it…because, frankly, with all of his coddling of Islam, that would be politically detrimental to him.

Despite his grand apology tour and the unctuous way he’s shaked and shimmied his booty in the air, bowing and scraping and kissing the ring of the likes of the Saudi king, Muslims continue to hate the US and Islam continues its war against us.

On Grand Isle, it’s being reported that the military is seizing citizen videos and detaining people who are trying to report on what’s going on.  Military vehicles are coming in and out, with giant cranes and other building supplies.  What’s going on there?  What are they building or repairing?  Why all the secrecy?

We have absolutely no trust in this “president”.

Everything he does is to help himself, and he does not care a lick for the American people.  He is not stupid, however, and does realize that when Muslims attack this country, in a big way, and do something catastrophic to our power grid, infrastructure, or energy reserves it’s going to reflect badly on the “president” who keeps stating over and over again that his personal mission in life is to defend Islam (as stated in “his book”, where he says when the winds blow against Islam, he will be there to stand with it, whatever that means).

What’s really happening on Grand Isle?

Do you think there’s something more in play here?

Could THIS be the real reason for that job-killing moratorium that was placed on the oil industry in the Gulf?

If you needed a convenient way to explain a sudden work stoppage, this could be it.  Otherwise, if work had to stop abruptly because of a Muslim attack in the Gulf, the White House and Justice Department would have to answer a lot of uncomfortable questions, now that the misunderstood Care Bears of Islam have attacked Americans, on American soil, yet again.

What think you?

**************************

MORE:  In Alabama, here’s an ABC reporter who was hassled for filming on a beach there.

What are these people trying to hide?

We remember the Exxon Valdez cleanup was covered 24/7.

Whenever the government, union workers, corporations, or others DON’T want something filmed, that means everyone with a video camera anywhere near the Gulf Coast needs to be filming like crazy.

QUESTION: Can regular people attend the Blagojevich trial in Chicago as observers?

Posted at June 11, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Some of us managed to get into the Jim Trafficant trial in Cleveland back in 2000 or so, which was an interesting experience.

Since we live in Chicago, we’d like to attend the Blagojevich trial as it’s being held this summer.

Can you help us research how to do this?  Do they allow observers from the public?

If so, we’d be happy to hang out down there as many times as we are allowed and report back to you on it.  If the trial’s in the Loop, then it’s not that hard to get there from Boystown, and we usually have at least two or three mornings and afternoons free where at least one of us can be there in person to take notes and observe the various shenannigans.

So, if you’d like a report from someone on the ground, then help us figure out how to get in as observers, and we’ll totally do that, starting next week if possible.

Order up! Cucumber-and-mayonnaise sandwich of the day, Mitch Daniels edition

Posted at June 10, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

These guys are shameless.

Every day, the Media pushes another cucumber-and-mayonnaise, stale, dull as dirt Republican to be the GOP’s 2012 nominee.

Today, it’s Mitch Daniels some more.

We picture a giant prize wheel with all of these wimps on it:  Daniels, Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, John Thune, Jon Huntsman, Bobby Jindal.  Are we forgetting anyone?

It’s funny, because we didn’t like him at the time, but when George W. Bush ran for president in 2000 the Media lampooned him as a cowboy, and tried to make that a negative caricature of a good man…who ended up being a two-term, ass-kicking president.  For reals, not in the fey Obama, “I’m looking for ass to kick” way, parsed between glamorous cocktail parties, golf outings, or whatever else the current “president” does with his day (“Who’s up for a Jonas Brothers concert? Rahm, get your autograph book ready, and this time, don’t creep the littlest Jonas out so damn much. That one’s mine.”).

We’ve come to realize Americans WANT Republicans to be cowboys…and pioneer women.

They want strength.

They want swagger.

They want a take-no-prisoners attitude.

They want barbeques and rodeos and snow machine racing.

They DO NOT want cucumber-and-mayonnaise cotillion and cocktail parties Republicans.

They do not want Mitch Daniels or any of his lot to be president.

The Media’s going to try its best to trick the GOP into running a loser like this.  Hence, the daily pushing of these guys by the Media.

We don’t think Daniels is even good enough to run as Vice President.  That’s a job for Alan West or Michael Williams, in our opinion.

QUESTION: Do you think "president" Obama's approval will be at or below 39% before the end of the year?

Posted at June 10, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Gallup has “president” Obama down to 44% approval today.

Last night, our friend Althea asked us if we thought Obama would drop below 39% ever, and we told her yes, but we think it’s going to come around Christmas time.

That’s just our gut, but based on everyone we talk to who still supports Obama, these people keep deferring final judgment on him based on whatever promise is out there today.  ”Oh, we hope things will get better, and Obama told us to keep hoping, so we’re going to trust him”.  ”He said it would take awhile, and he’s still working on it, so I’m just going to wait and see”.

Right now, unemployment numbers are inflated because of the Census hiring.

Summer, seasonal jobs are also included in the hiring numbers right now.

But, sometime in late-November, early December, as people start to make their holiday purchases and realize how shaky everyone is financially, we think people are going to start wondering what good “Hope” and “Change” has done for any of them.

Where are the jobs, o’Lightbringer?

Oprah Winfrey declared you to be “The One”, so where is all of the magical change you promised for our bleak situation?

Where’s my damn unicorn?

Our gut feeling is that after a summer of no improvement, high electric costs because of the air conditioning, the mischief this administration is making in the Gulf with the moratorium it’s put on the oil industry that is costing thousands of jobs, the bankruptcy BP is going to be forced into next month or so, and all the other problems caused by “The Lightbringer’s” economic policies, that he’ll be below 40% approval in late December 2010.

How far into the 30s the Media will allow him to go is another question.  Remember, the Media is tied to this man like no “president” in all of our history.  When he goes down, he’ll take the Media with him, lock, stock, and unicorn-bedazzled barrel.

They will continue to do everything they can to prop this fraud up, but we think 39% is definitely in his future.

What think you?
