We’re making Bart Stupak the next target in our project to identify the wealthy individuals and law firms that keep funding bad Democrats.
He and Louise Slaughter will be our test cases — where we work together as a group to identify all their major campaign contributors, and direct the public’s ire at the rich men and women on the Left who keep writing checks to send people like Slaughter and Stupak to Washington to do their bidding.
If these people wish to exercise their right of free speech by way of funding these Leftists’ campaigns, then we the people should exercise our own free speech by letting these large Democrat Donors know exactly what we think of their campaign contributions.
And for the law firms, we need to let all of their clients know what we think of those firms enabling people like Bart Stupak to go to Washington.
The more pressure is put on Dem Donors, the less checks they will write to the DNC and bad Democrats. It’s a surefire way to cripple people like Stupak, and other bad Democrats, and help retire them in the next elections.
Start compiling Stupak’s large donors on this thread.

Here’s the Facebook page for Dan Benishek (R), running against Bart Stupak for Congress.
He seems like a nice man.
Let’s hope the nation rallies behind him to give him everything he needs to kick Stupak’s sorry can nine ways to Sunday in November.
March 21, 2010 at 4:13 pm
Tell us where to write & who to harrass…I will get everyone I know to begin a letter writing campaign!
March 21, 2010 at 8:09 pm
Kim, we do not harrass…we simply vociferously express our First Ammendment Rights. :D Seriously, it is totally time tour the Alinsky Tactics back on the Left. I plan to be QUITE vociferous in the expression of my First Ammendment Rights.
March 21, 2010 at 8:15 pm
Right! We will not do horrible, crazy things like enlist acorn hire busloads of welfare recipients to drive onto the front lawns of AIG executives to harass the housewives inside who are frantically trying to get their offspring ready for school. NOTHING can reach the depths of depravity reached by the class act that is the progressive movement.
March 21, 2010 at 4:13 pm
go Hillbuzz!
March 22, 2010 at 4:35 am
I’m impressed at your Alinsky application.
Freeze the target.
Polarize it.
Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
Then throw on some Cloward Piven. Expose benefactors as hypocrites and cheapskates and hold them accountable publicly. Most like to sit back cut checks and gawk at their puppeteer effect. Must make this personal. I want to see their pictures, nice ugly ones. I want them to know the impact of their interferences.
March 21, 2010 at 4:13 pm
I’ll spend some hours tomorrow compiling the information.
In the case of Stupak, does it make sense to approach some of the Catholic groups to get them writing letters, as in the other cases it was suggested to contact Rush Limbaugh, etc.?
March 21, 2010 at 5:49 pm
Yes, contact Catholics & Catholic groups.
March 21, 2010 at 6:15 pm
Maybe the nuns that weren’t the Senate-bill nuns?
March 22, 2010 at 1:50 am
there are plenty of orders of nuns that are against the bill
March 21, 2010 at 6:20 pm
The bad thing about that is some churchs like the plan.I really don’t understand it myself, and I’m talking Catholic churchs.I seen on TV some Father say how good is for the poor. I just don’t get it myself.
March 21, 2010 at 6:45 pm
The seminaries were infiltrated during the 60′s just like every other university, and there are a lot of formally schooled priests who swallowed socialistic practices hook line and sinker. They do not understand that forced charity is a sin, and that wealth envy/class warfare is a violation of at least 3 commandments (Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, Thou shalt not bear false witness). There is a reason why “A steeply progressive Income Tax” is a primary part of Karl Marx’s list of things to do to create a communist society. =/
March 21, 2010 at 7:04 pm
You are absolutely right, Johan1,
One of the tenets of the Communist Manifesto and their published goals, entered into the congressional record in 1960, were the infiltration of socialists into the Priesthood. They also coveted the teachers union, universities, and the Boy Scouts [!!]
They now have apparently usurped the presidency and a majority in congress. We’re in a bad place right now and we must all work hard to right it.
You have described the error of many of the priests thinking perfectly and the commandments that they are breaking.
It’s hard work standing up against our government these days. But to have to stand up to the Catholic Church at the same time is a bridge I wouldn’t have thought we’d have to cross.
sigh.
March 21, 2010 at 7:10 pm
They think it’s good for the poor because they’ve been told that its aim is to help the poor, and they haven’t got the economic know-how to see that saying a program will help the poor is different from a result where poor people are actually better off.
I think basic economics should be mandatory in every seminary, personally. The number of otherwise inspiring pastors with cockamamie economic ideas is staggering.
— And it makes it really hard for me and my husband to find a church that doesn’t make him ill, since he’s an economist. (Any suggestions here? Anyone know a denomination that hasn’t got it in for the free market? — I was raised mainline protestant / Episcopal, which might be part of our problem.)
If anyone should know the vast difference between the intents and consequences of human actions, you think it would be pastors and priests. But apparently they can’t reason about it on a systemic scale.
OzzieAussie, being an economist yourself, how do you cope with economic lunacy in church?
March 21, 2010 at 7:20 pm
Try Wi. Synod or Missouri Synod Lutherans. DO NOT try the ELCA, they are very liberal. I’m a life long Lutheran who has tried them all.
March 21, 2010 at 8:21 pm
I love the congregational church I attend here in new england … not a word of politics is breathed … we regularly pray for “our elected leaders” … it is quite tasteful and the bible is the focus of sermons. But I think my congregational church is unusual in this way …
You could try evangelical free church … I’ve attended a few of these and they are consistently God centered without straying into the filth of politics … they also aren’t into dancing in the isles while yelling in mysterious languages no one can understand. I’ve accidentally found myself in that kind of church and it is scary for sure!
March 22, 2010 at 2:05 am
we do not have the same problem.
The pastors I have had for the past 14 or so years have had an understanding of economics. One of them was an accountant before going into the priesthood.
They do not preach about economics. The real problem is that living in Canberra I do get a lot of the BS about “social justice”. I somehow think that they are coming at social justice from another POV.
As for helping the poor, I will give the example of Fr. Peter Day – who has been assisting in our parish. Fr. Peter was a journalist before entering the priesthood. In Sydney he spent a part of his time on the streets amongst the prostitutes and the like. What he has done in Queanbeyan is establish a home for people with mental illness. First he had to raise the money, and then the project home had to be built. It is nearing completion. This has been an ecumenical project between the Catholics and the Anglicans with others helping to provide the funds to get it moving. His ministry has been amongst those who are either mentally ill or in need in other ways. What he is doing is real social justice – not the mouthing of platitudes.
March 22, 2010 at 7:26 am
Have you looked into the ACNA (Anglican Church in North America?) This is an association of the conservative churches that broke (sometimes at great cost) with the Episcopal Church. I think it also includes the Reformed Episcopal Church, which has been around since about 1870.
March 22, 2010 at 5:36 pm
there is an Anglican communion – Episcopal in the USA – that has agreed to join Rome.
It will be a separate group like the Maronites in Lebanon. They will have their own everything including married priests. I cannot remember their name.
March 21, 2010 at 7:15 pm
Johan1, your answer’s spot-on. The ordinary priests and couldn’t be this easily duped without help from their mentors.
Can you recommend a denomination relatively free of economic lunacy?
March 22, 2010 at 6:43 am
Baptists.
All religion is tainted to some degree, all churches, the same. (Not speaking of false religions or cults.)
The Holy Trinity, God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are the only Truth; once man enters into the equation (churches, religions) the fallibility of man enters as well.
Even on our best days we are no comparison for a righteous and just Lord and God.
God bless you in your efforts.
March 22, 2010 at 5:38 pm
the Baptists are equally as tainted. Many of the Baptist pastors support Obama and left ideology.
March 21, 2010 at 7:22 pm
God created Man for freedom. God does not coerce us to goodness; He only coaxes.
If God, who is Goodness, does not presume to coerce us, what right has an institution of Man to do so?
You’d think voluntary transactions would be more popular in a religion based on freedom…
March 21, 2010 at 9:54 pm
The ELCA is definitely run by lunatics of the left and its membership is leaving in droves. Being of Norwegian,German, and Alsatian Lutherna heritage I dumped the ELCA back in the 1960s when the minister of ther congregation my parents had attended for years removed both the American andChristian flags from the sanctuary.
Heller the baby killer abortionist responsible for 10,000 late term abortions was a pillar of aan ELCA church in Witchita, Kansas as is theprevaricating duplicitious Sebelius.
A few years ago the left led by socialist indoctrinated pastors tried to seize control of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod but since I no longer attend I never heard if the communists pulled off their coup.
March 22, 2010 at 8:59 am
OLd One: Tiller, you mean? He was ELCA because he was THROWN OUT of the LC-MS for being an abortionist.
March 22, 2010 at 7:24 pm
This reminds me of a quick-blurb ad for a conservative talk-show radio host. It’s an African American gentleman saying, “They put Obama’s picture right up there next to Jesus in my church! I can’t even find a church in Atlanta that doesn’t support Obama! I’m a black conservative. What am I supposed to do?”
My husband’s best friend is a black conservative. I feel for him.

Thanks for the link. I just joined. I’ll be sending him a donation tomorrow.
March 21, 2010 at 8:42 pm
Just a suggestion…send a copy of your check to Stupak, to let him know that he made a huge mistake.
March 22, 2010 at 12:29 am
Yes. This.^
March 22, 2010 at 1:27 am
Good idea! Will do.
March 22, 2010 at 4:54 am
Great idea. I just sent a donation via Paypal and I’ll send Stup (id) a copy of my receipt.
March 21, 2010 at 7:20 pm
I joined as well and just checked back…..in 90 minutes or so his numbers have gone up almost 3000 strong! One commenter noted that they were going up at a rate of 20-30 a minute! Yet another sign that ‘the little people’ are absolutely LIVID!
March 21, 2010 at 4:17 pm
Bart Schtuffpacked us! Go, HB!!
March 21, 2010 at 5:55 pm
Let’s get STUpid PAKing!
Saw this on the facebook page from one of the commenters… loved it.
March 21, 2010 at 7:53 pm
Stupid is as Stupak does!!
March 21, 2010 at 4:20 pm
Let me know how I can help.
March 21, 2010 at 4:24 pm
I am working on a couple of postcards that people will be able to print out on cardstock (probably easiest at your local copy shop), write a little message on, and mail off to donors (private and/or corporate), neighbors of donors, etc.
Why postcards?
Because 1) something you get in the mail is harder to ignore than something you can delete from your email inbox; 2)something that someone has hand written has more impact than something that was cut and pasted in a text file on your computer; 3) They don’t have to open it to see it… the message is right there in all its glory; and 4) postage is much cheaper for a postcard than for a letter.
And as an added bonus for physically mailed pieces, because most urban areas now have their property maps online (GIS), it is an easy deal to look up the neighbors of any given donor/address, so long as their property is in their name. But if we can find good authority that someone is living at a given address, even if they aren’t shown to be the owner of said property (via GIS), we can still use the GIS info to send cards to the neighbors.
Please stay tuned… it could be Tuesday or Wednesday before I can get all the stuff I’m working on done…!
March 21, 2010 at 4:56 pm
That’s a great idea! I’m in.
March 21, 2010 at 5:03 pm
Love it, I always felt like postcards were the way to go. They can still ignore them but not as easily as faxes and emails and we know they turn off their phones.
March 21, 2010 at 5:07 pm
Good idea. At Staples and Office Depot, you can get postcard stock – Avery. I can’t remember the number.
March 21, 2010 at 5:36 pm
the Avery stock is a good idea! I will try to do different versions, including Avery templates, so that people can use what works best for them…
March 21, 2010 at 6:46 pm
-Love it.
March 21, 2010 at 5:36 pm
I was hoping the post office still sold pre-stamped post cards on their web site store. I believe these are the pre-stamped postcards. Does $.28 sound right for a postcard stamp?
https://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10052&productId=10001765&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10000002&top_category=10000002&categoryId=10000039&top=¤tPage=0&sort=&viewAll=Y&rn=CategoriesDisplay&WT.ac=10001765
March 21, 2010 at 6:36 pm
28 cents is the postcard rate. Yes.
March 21, 2010 at 7:55 pm
Brilliant.
March 21, 2010 at 8:38 pm
I have an idea…send what I call a “tourist” postcard representing your state if you can to show vividly in pictures what you think of his vote. I’m thinking of a big ol’ gator with his mouth open wide.
March 21, 2010 at 4:24 pm
here’s a good start…

Excellent. Thank you.
March 21, 2010 at 4:51 pm
This website makes you pay. Is there any other website that has the same info but which doesn’t make you pay?
March 21, 2010 at 4:54 pm
The FEC.gov does not make you pay, –your tax $$$$ at work.
March 21, 2010 at 7:11 pm
Interesting that he used to just another be a no-name congressman, and he gets just 54% of his money in 2008 [an election year] from Michigan residents and businessmen [according to the site.
And between corporations and “labor” he gets a big majority.
March 21, 2010 at 4:26 pm
Tried to call Stupak. He changed his phone number. The number for him is now “non working”.
Coward!
March 21, 2010 at 4:29 pm
here’s a link to his DC contact info.
(202) 225 4735
(202) 225 4744 – Fax
http://www.house.gov/stupak/contact0507.shtml
March 21, 2010 at 4:34 pm
his voice mail is full but the fax line works well. =)
March 21, 2010 at 5:18 pm
Benedict Stupack needs to HEAR how many contributors/supporters his opponent has gained today before he casts his vote tonight!!!
March 21, 2010 at 5:25 pm
FAX machine busy too!!
March 21, 2010 at 7:43 pm
I’ve been getting “fax busy” myself ever since about 4:30.
But I’m still re-sending every time I get a failure notice (which can take a while). I will keep trying till the vote is finalized.
March 21, 2010 at 5:53 pm
His phone number will not answer. His voice mail is full. His FAX rings busy. He only accepts email from MI.
So, the fax is loaded and redialing every 2 mins. And an address for MI is:
802 Pentoga Trail
Crystal Falls, MI 49920
This is his opponents campaign address. But, it is in MI so it works to be able to send Benedict an email.
March 21, 2010 at 4:33 pm
This is a great idea. I like the idea of doing a couple test cases to prove it out.
March 21, 2010 at 4:34 pm
Here you go… http://tinyurl.com/y93zckc
Stupak’s donors for this election cycle.
Let’s see how some of those small town businessmen and professionals like having their names attached to this scabrous sack of Stupak.
Let’s see how the good Catholics who’ve supported him feel when they go to church knowing that their fellow parishioners know they’re facilitating the death of children.
Stupak needs to be brought down.
March 21, 2010 at 7:20 pm
I took all the stuff off of that URl and cut and pasted it into a word doc. Then I emailed the word doc to some friends. =)
March 21, 2010 at 4:35 pm
His opponent sounds like a good decent man. Joined his FB page and will likely contribute to his campaign.
March 21, 2010 at 4:37 pm
I will contribute to his campaign, also!
March 21, 2010 at 4:45 pm
Yes his bio looks excellent.
March 21, 2010 at 5:39 pm
HE HAD 401 F/B FRIENDS WHEN I JOINED AND NOW HE HAS 2300+ “BEGGING FOR A MONEY BOMB”–REMEMBER SCOTT BROWN : )
March 21, 2010 at 7:15 pm
That is unbelievable!! So many great minds with the same great idea – find out who the opponent is and help him.
March 21, 2010 at 6:29 pm
I just wrote out a check to Benishek and will mail it off bright and early to him Monday morning. Only $25 but if thousands do it Stupidpak goes down since he is most certainly defying the wishes of voters in his district. I hope he gets outed on his payofff from Dr. Utopia.
Every house bluedog deserves to be defeated and have their opponents presented with a money bomb, name annd expose their big donors, and bring them a humiliating defeat in November. We can all help do it even if we can only give each anti-blue dog candidated $1.
We are not alone! We are an army of Davids. I hope Stupidpak will savor joy his upcoming Georgetown cocktail party invites between now and November.
March 21, 2010 at 7:20 pm
An army of Davids. I love that analogy and that visual.
Thanks, Old One. I needed something to concentrate on.
March 22, 2010 at 2:14 am
suggest you also try to find out about the ethics violation.
There was something hanging over his head in the way of an ethics violation. Find it… use it…
March 21, 2010 at 4:40 pm
And on page 2 of the Stupak list…
Barry O’Connor, owner of O’Connor Chrysler Dodge in Pickford, MI gave Bart Stupak some dough.
What do you want to bet that his many of Mr. O’Connor’s neighbors won’t want to hear from you?
Look! He has a website..
http://www.oconnorschryslerdodgejeep.com/
March 21, 2010 at 6:05 pm
Just expressed my concern for his business moving forward. The financial support of Mr. Stupak may be concerning for his customer base.
March 21, 2010 at 7:26 pm
Jeep/Chrysler is in enough trouble right now. Mr. O’Connor’s livlihood has probably decreased in the past year and he doesn’t need potential customers shunning him for his support of Stupak.
You have to feel bad for some of these people who supported him and voted for him precisely for his stand on life from conception to natural death. And now he’s supporting a faux “executive order” that everyone knows will be challanged in court – and a health care “overhaul” that will cause great suffering for the vulnerable seniors – making it so difficult for them to find a Medicare doctor and to get the treatment that they need.
He betrayed them and he betrayed us.
March 21, 2010 at 4:45 pm
Please send any contributions to:
Benishek for Congress
802 Pentoga Trail
Crystal Falls, MI 49920
no website yet
March 21, 2010 at 4:50 pm
You realize that Stupak & Friends (take those names, also) certainly didn’t have to bend too much if the House was able to make a deal and STILL not lose any “choice” proponents.
March 21, 2010 at 8:06 pm
Not much of a fig leaf, is it?
March 21, 2010 at 4:51 pm
The Facebook page has gone up by hundreds just in the last few minutes!!
March 21, 2010 at 5:05 pm
The only other FB member escalating with such speed is Sarah Palin
March 21, 2010 at 5:05 pm
I like the idea of using Facebook, so for any others you think would be beneficial to join please post. This way we can get money bombs going for people. Even if we can only send a few bucks their way it will help because there are so many of us not networking.
March 21, 2010 at 7:08 pm
When he has a paypal up and running, it would be fun to send him $2.16, if you can’t afford to send $216.00…
vote # 216!!
March 21, 2010 at 5:06 pm
NOW networking!!! I hate my fingers some days!

March 21, 2010 at 5:08 pm
I just check the donors from Florida and they are doctors!!!! Why on earth would a dr contribute to this man?
March 21, 2010 at 5:15 pm
Now that is a good question–they more than likely are owners of one of those groups that take over private practices and replace it with substandard doctors and nurse practioner/nurse anesthetist that has happened all over the country to groups that do not have recurring patients, like ER, Radiologist and Anesthesiologists. Sheridan is the largest and based out of Florida. Cross check the names of the donors with the owners??
March 21, 2010 at 6:42 pm
Or they could have also been fooled and thought that Spupek would be the one in between them and the gov’t in stopping this monstrosity. This is why I think the donor idea is especially good for Stupek. MANY of his donors may already be just as upset as we are, and when they realize that THEY are going to be taken down with him…woo boy, they are NOT gonna be happy and Stupek will be looking for a remote island to move to!
March 22, 2010 at 2:25 am
If they are RTL doctors they might have thought that they were supporting a pro-life candidate.
March 21, 2010 at 5:09 pm
If they are voting today, and Stupak falls for the Executive Order crap….he will fold..and we will be a lesser version than America was yesterday. Why in the world would these people sell the country down the tubes for a ride in a plane and a promise they know can be changed the very next day? We went to DC yesterday, and to tell the truth, just entering the area is like visiting a ghetto…,.they need to do something about the entrance of America’s Capital …we then went to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor for dinner and wondered why the politicians allowed the entrance to the American Capital to look like a slum, while what once was a slum was a busting, energetic place. My depression was deepened by listening to a zealot who was taking over Alan Combs show…and not only was he insulting, but he flat out lied about the bill….sorry…I am glad I am old..I won’t have to be a socialist for too long, I do pity my children, your children and all of our grandchildren… I think they deserve better.
March 21, 2010 at 5:17 pm
You talking about rt. 50? It’s always been like this. It’s actually a bit better than it was 10 years ago.
March 21, 2010 at 5:51 pm
Yes, much of DC is a
shithole, and it’s been
that way for a long, long
time. It’s also a violent
place.
March 22, 2010 at 2:27 am
when we were there the McDonalds had armed guards.
March 21, 2010 at 8:09 pm
Socialist government has been at work there for a long while. Just not so bad as Detroit.
Be of good cheer, Joanne. To see so many people becoming involved is heartening. AND, don’t let your happiness be hostage to the circus in DC!
March 22, 2010 at 2:28 am
Lincoln Park was not so bad… my aunt lives in Lincoln Park
March 22, 2010 at 7:17 am
Thank you for this comment. I was getting pretty down.
March 22, 2010 at 2:27 am
so the ghetto in DC has not changed since 1984.
I spent a couple of days in DC in May 1984. The hotel where we were told to go was a cockroach infested place right on the edge of the ghetto. It was not safe to walk the streets in that place.
March 21, 2010 at 5:10 pm
Thank you for not moping, whining about the end of the nation, going off in a whimper…THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT! Plan and then execute those plans!
The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.

March 21, 2010 at 5:16 pm
Dan Benishek’s twitter handle is @Benishek. He’s already up to 991 followers and this was just set up about an hour ago!
March 21, 2010 at 5:33 pm
It’s over 2200!
March 21, 2010 at 5:18 pm
OMG to think I defended this fulgurating abscess on the butt of Nancy Pelosi, Stupak you are the worst lying hypocritical purulent puss faced cretin alive! You sold out the unborn to side with Obama and Pelosi!! I just read that according to information from a FOI request the bill for 2 years of Pelosi’s travel is 2.2 MILLION!!! These people are terrorists!!
March 21, 2010 at 5:23 pm
Sure are.
March 21, 2010 at 6:44 pm
Just don’t tell me what her florist bill is again, I’ll probably have a stroke.
March 21, 2010 at 10:05 pm
Pelosi the employer of illegal aliens at her vineyard and her multi-millionaire husband suck of $2 million for travel cost is worse than the profligacy of the french monarchy in 1788. We know what happened to them. “The Mills of God Grind Slow but They Grind Exceeding Fine”
March 21, 2010 at 5:22 pm
Paul Ryan just spoke on the language in the executive order and he does not see any clear explanation that abortions would NOT be funded.
March 21, 2010 at 5:24 pm
That’s what puzzled me when I read the EO…it didn’t “clearly” say anything at all so I think that’s just a BS excuse. :P
March 21, 2010 at 5:28 pm
Can you post the EO? We need to all read this thing.
March 21, 2010 at 5:30 pm
You can view it here:
http://whitehouse.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/03/21/obama-executive-order-on-abortion-funding/
Like my quote from Mike Pence below states, an EO cannot override the legislation already written and “approved”.
March 21, 2010 at 5:41 pm
If an EO is this powerful, as a pundit just said, Obama could have allowed students to be covered under their parents insurance until age 30. The more examples one hears, the more ridiculous this EO sounds.
March 22, 2010 at 2:33 am
let’s be honest here. I am an Australian, and I saw right through that EO immediately. It is BS and is not effective at all.
Imagine, the man who voted for partial birth abortion, which is a really cruel death for a baby, would actually sign an EO that would limit abortion funding… BS
In his first days in office he used an EO to rescind the Bush EO on funding abortions in Mexico.
If anyone believes that this particular EO would be effective then they have monkey brains
March 21, 2010 at 5:29 pm
I love Paul Ryan. People have NO IDEA the horror about to be unleashed if the government runs health care. I have worked in a good hospital for almost 30 years and it is bad enough with the endless paperwork required by the Joint Commission now! The entire thrust will be cost cutting, those who cut costs the most will move up the government ladder, why not cut someone’s Coumadin or Insulin that will definitely save some money when they die off, right?

Truth on Executive Order ( LIE )and disgust
http://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2010/03/21/obama-offers-executive-order-fig-leaf-stupak-accepts/
March 21, 2010 at 5:27 pm
Loved these quotes: “Mike Pence just mentioned on Fox that a court of law would throw out the EO since it would contradict the legislation passed by Congress.
Tom Price calls it “a pig in a poke” – you can’t override legislation with an executive order.”
March 21, 2010 at 5:25 pm
I would love to boycott any/all corporations that these people represent, and give any/all business to the side that represents the Constitution and WE THE PEOPLE. I know boycotts are very effective, really hits them in the bottom line and exposure is never a bad thing.
March 21, 2010 at 5:31 pm
make sure you mail, snail mail letters to the corporations telling them you are boycotting them.
no email, but actaully hand written mail.
March 21, 2010 at 7:11 pm
Typed snail mail is best. Hand written mail is frequently dismissed as crazy.
March 21, 2010 at 5:26 pm
Well, I guess the new word is ‘stupaked’ – saw a video done last year and this fraud (well he is a dem after all) planned to vote this bill in all along – can’t remember where I saw vid – will try to find and post link
Stupid prog dems seem to think we will forget all about this – is the fraud gonna get the internet shut down, all videos erased, tv archives disappeared – really turn this country into an oppresive socialist/marxist/communinistic gulag – the repubs will be playing & replaying all this crap over and over and over again right up until November – lots of lawsuits are gonna happen too and those will be in the news
Senate dems have suckerpunched those house idiots too – reminds me of Lucy & Charlie Brown with the football…..
March 21, 2010 at 5:30 pm
How about “Don’t get stuck on Stupak”.
March 21, 2010 at 6:03 pm
I just read somewhere a poster said “stupid is as stupak does.” I thought it fit.
March 21, 2010 at 6:20 pm

March 21, 2010 at 9:21 pm
Video is posted @ Betrayal blog today
http://www.oilforimmigration.org/facts/?p=5966
Spread this to all!
Stupak says he will get a vote on his 2 cents, and vote to pass the bill with or without his 2 cents included, on abortion.
March 21, 2010 at 9:59 pm
On another site a commenter said that now abortions will be referred to as “the Stupak procedure”. How sad for Mr. Stupak.
March 22, 2010 at 7:09 am
Naw. Just sad for all the other Stupaks of the world.
March 21, 2010 at 5:27 pm
This is the truth and this will happen:
I am arranging my life so in January, 2012, I will be working in IOWA to make Sarah president.
March 21, 2010 at 5:29 pm
Bart Stupak just collected his 30 pieces of silver.
Just like with Judas, he will soon realize that this was a worthless gesture. There will be no executive order. He sold out on the basis of a non-promise.
Does he really believe that a man who voted for partial birth abortion is really going to issue such an executive order? I do not believe it.
Nancy Pelosi has done one of the most underhanded deals in the history of the USA. The pro-choice people had backed off allowing the muck to hit the fan if there was any deal with Stupak. Why? Because Nancy already told them that it was a non-deal. She has told them that the EO is just not going to happen. The promise is hollow. It is empty. Stupak fell for the empty promise because he wanted his 30 pieces of silver.
March 21, 2010 at 5:32 pm
How fitting…he’ll just basically commit political suicide if he votes “Yes” tonight.
I don’t think Stup[id]ak fell for anything, just wanted a good enough excuse so he wouldn’t look like “such” a bad guy.
March 21, 2010 at 5:58 pm
Yep.
March 22, 2010 at 2:39 am
I just read that there is a $700,000 bribe involved. If anyone can find information, then you need to get that information and use it against him.
March 21, 2010 at 5:33 pm
Exactly. Pro-choicers are laughing at Stupak and Friends. They’re saying, “Ha! They actually fell for it!”
March 21, 2010 at 6:03 pm
See, I don’t think Stupak “fell for it.” He knew what he was doing all along, being liberal ultimately came first, and the pro-life moniker was just that, a moniker. Nothing more nothing less…. meaningless garbage.
March 21, 2010 at 6:34 pm
Thing is that the EO dosn’t come until after the vote. How stupid can you be?
March 21, 2010 at 10:46 pm
Stupak didn’t fall for anything. He simply did what he wanted to do–vote for this bill. He wanted a fig leaf and this pathetic EO is all that he could get. He will get the order, but it is meaningless, and he knows it.
March 22, 2010 at 2:39 am
more like his constituents fell for his BS
March 22, 2010 at 5:53 pm
Actually, you are right, he did not “fall for it”… he plotted with Pelosi and the Communist-in-Chief to stiff his constituents.
March 21, 2010 at 6:14 pm
If you investigate Stupak’s life – - and I am totally speculating here – - I think you will find he is a hard-core Leftist, that is, an elitist who believes he is superior to America.
As with typical Leftists, the ends justify ANY means, including pretending that you are pro-life.
March 22, 2010 at 9:40 am
I wonder if he does fundraising letters? Wouldn’t it be nice to take a prepaid envelope and put 30 dimes in it? Granted, they aren’t really silver. But they have the same intrinsic value (wrong: more value) than Obama’s EO.
March 21, 2010 at 5:30 pm
Who’s the black dude presiding in the House – is that jjjj jr????? another chicago thug – the fbi informant who wanted the fraud’s former senate seat????
March 21, 2010 at 5:30 pm
Dr.Benishek FB page has 2,227 members now and is getting more people by the second.
March 22, 2010 at 5:55 pm
I just looked, my time is Tuesday morning. There are now over 15,000 facebook friends and rising.
March 21, 2010 at 5:31 pm
GUYS…CONTACT HIM…He doesn’t know how to set up a donate button.
March 21, 2010 at 5:32 pm
Have you seen his FB page???? Over 1500 people in less than an hour and he’s getting mentions on the conservative blogs and he doesn’t have a donate button.

March 21, 2010 at 5:44 pm
closing in on 2700
March 21, 2010 at 6:02 pm

Love it.
March 21, 2010 at 5:59 pm
His office phone number is 906-265-0272 – got that off his FB info. Please call him to get that donor button up.
March 21, 2010 at 6:03 pm
YES>>> SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO DO THAT… CALL HIM.
He is missing a golden opportinity.
Stupak doesnt have that much money on hand. His challenger could kick his butt just today in money.
March 21, 2010 at 6:07 pm
How do you get one of those PayPal buttons like the boyz?
March 21, 2010 at 7:16 pm
It’s a bit harder that, as they have to be able to collect certain info to comply with the FEC regs.
March 22, 2010 at 2:43 am
he will have to sign on with Paypal and become a vendor, I think. It would be the only way to get a paypal button.
What he needs to do is to use WordPress or something like that and set up a web page where he can take donations.
Hopefully someone with the right skills can help him.
March 21, 2010 at 6:31 pm
If he’s serious about this race, he’d better get savy about how to run it.
March 21, 2010 at 7:34 pm
You have to wonder if he’s got a campaign staff. He’s been a surgeon for 30 years and surgeons are pretty independent. He needs help and soon.
March 22, 2010 at 2:09 am
He just announced Monday. Primary is August.
March 21, 2010 at 5:33 pm
Geez – just saw a commercial for the new series on the Discovery Channel called “Life” – it looks really interesting & would love to watch it but it’s being narrated by the orca from chicago – OMG – ugh
March 21, 2010 at 5:39 pm
I know, it virtually kills any interest I had in it.
March 21, 2010 at 5:45 pm
Same here! I loved the Blue Planet, but refuse to support ANYTHING that involves Orca.
March 21, 2010 at 5:49 pm
Yep…Discover…TLC…Animal Planet…just BBC socialist groups taking over Hollyqood. It has been happening for a while. That’s how all this Global Warming crap got so popular.
March 21, 2010 at 6:24 pm
When Planet Earth came out, we got the BBC America version narrated by David Attenborough instead of that actress.
Maybe BBC America has one narrated by someone else?
March 21, 2010 at 7:50 pm
I think once the DVDs come out they’ll have the Attenborough narration.
March 21, 2010 at 7:21 pm
My kids and husband are watching it now. I’m gritting my teeth and smiling away.
So far, nothing objectionable other than hearing Ocra’s voice.
Traitor.
March 22, 2010 at 12:48 am
I turned it on to see if I’d like it even with her narrating. It’s seriously one of the worst narration jobs I’ve ever heard — stilted and dull, with odd emphasis in all the wrong places. I couldn’t stomach it for more than a few minutes. I hope the DVD/Blu-Ray version has someone else.
March 21, 2010 at 5:44 pm
Got you some pay dirt here!

Big Pharma and Lawyers are among his top five. Big surprise! This is all about Big Pharma, they will be the treatment of choice now instead of invasive procedures. Just give everyone a pill to dull the brains and bodies until they die.
March 21, 2010 at 6:38 pm
Ouch, that hits home. That almost happened to me already — I had a pain problem that they had me convinced was just depression for years. Finally a dedicated doctor helped me sort it out.
Before she came along, I was looking at a life of permanent near-uselessness — in my teens and twenties, too. But she was willing to try some experimental treatments, and now I have a shot at a fairly productive life.
A pity future generations won’t get the same chance I did if ObamaCare works out.
That is why I am so bitter towards it. I know what we have to lose.
March 22, 2010 at 2:47 am
it has taken me over 20 years to find out I have shoulder bursitis…. hmmm…
Actually, in my case the pills I am taking which is Plaquenil is working for me… according to my last blood tests. It is good news if the inflammation goes into remission.
March 21, 2010 at 6:42 pm
Aldous Huxley said the pill to control and kill would be the future of staist socities in the 1920s and he is proving to be a prophet .
March 21, 2010 at 5:46 pm
I just emailed John Boehner… told him he will be a great speaker of the house.
; )
I feel better.
March 21, 2010 at 6:01 pm
I called his office, told him I was one pissed off recovering dimocrat, and my entire family as well.
I was yelling, poor guy on the phone, told him, I wasn’t pissed at him. I am livid freaking livid at the demon-crats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he was very nice, told me he will pass that message on.
March 21, 2010 at 6:39 pm
I love you, ssmith :-)
March 21, 2010 at 5:48 pm
Once we have a list of donors we should make an ad in one of the local Michigan papers that says, “These are the people in your community who donated money to Rep. Stupak who in turn betrayed America.”
March 21, 2010 at 10:52 pm
This is a good idea.
March 22, 2010 at 6:39 am
I like it!
March 21, 2010 at 5:50 pm
I am really tired of these Life to Right organizations endorsing losers. The Missouri Right to Life endoresed the loser Huckabee in the republican primary in 2008. Who is running them. I think they should answer for this.
March 21, 2010 at 5:59 pm
I agree. They are frauds like so many of these special interest groups.
March 22, 2010 at 2:50 am
they are not frauds. They are misguided.
It would be worth checking into who is running RTL at the top in each state. They would have individual committees?
We have RTL in Australia. In fact my doctor in Sydney was the NSW President of RTL. He most definitely does not vote for candidates that push abortion on demand.
March 21, 2010 at 5:54 pm
Gateway Pundit is also supporting Stupaks oppostion: http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/
March 21, 2010 at 7:46 pm
Lying on tape a year ago, too fricking bad we didn’t have the dirt on till now.
Vote them all out!

he has over 11,000
March 21, 2010 at 6:00 pm
Everyone is begging him to put up a donate button but apparently they don’t know how or can’t get it done…..
March 21, 2010 at 6:04 pm
Malkin’s posted another challenger to Stupak. Her name is Linda Goldthorpe. I know nothing about her, but here’s a link to her site for those who want to learn more:
http://www.lindaforcongress.com/
March 21, 2010 at 6:06 pm
Twitter peeps are saying she’s a union fraud??? Not sure if it’s true or not but we need more info on her…
March 21, 2010 at 6:08 pm
Yes, we need more info on anyone. I want to defeat the cowards who voted for this and who turn a blind eye to this admnistrations Marxist ways. BUT, I don’t want to align myself with just anyone who may be a kook in their own right!
March 21, 2010 at 6:22 pm
Yep…Benishek seems like more of a true conservative. She has ties with the Unions so that spells MAFIA in MI
March 21, 2010 at 6:31 pm
I am slightly biased for doctors–but lets not support ANYONE with Union ties, even if Michelle Malkin touts them.
March 21, 2010 at 6:32 pm
Ah. Good to know!
March 21, 2010 at 7:24 pm
This is reassuring.

This is NOT:
“I’m embarrassed by Republicans bombing the world in my name,” she said, when asked to distinguish herself from Hooper, the maverick three-time candidate from Iron River who says the country cannot afford to pull out of the world’s trouble spots, including Iraq.
Plus she’s a lawyer.

Mark Steyn: This Is Even Worse Than You’re Thinking
—Ace
We can rally tomorrow to take back Congress, repeal the bill, and impeach the Communist in Chief’s ass once we get subpeona power and are able to find out all the laws he’s broken to pass this one.
For now, let’s grieve over the damage that’s been done in one fell blow.
If Barack Obama does nothing else in his term in office, this will make him one of the most consequential presidents in history. It’s a huge transformative event in Americans’ view of themselves and of the role of government. You can say, oh, well, the polls show most people opposed to it, but, if that mattered, the Dems wouldn’t be doing what they’re doing. Their bet is that it can’t be undone, and that over time, as I’ve been saying for years now, governmentalized health care not only changes the relationship of the citizen to the state but the very character of the people. As I wrote in NR recently, there’s plenty of evidence to support that from Britain, Canada and elsewhere.
More prosaically, it’s also unaffordable. That’s why one of the first things that middle-rank powers abandon once they go down this road is a global military capability. If you take the view that the US is an imperialist aggressor, congratulations: You can cease worrying. But, if you think that America has been the ultimate guarantor of the post-war global order, it’s less cheery. Five years from now, just as in Canada and Europe two generations ago, we’ll be getting used to announcements of defense cuts to prop up the unsustainable costs of big government at home. And, as the superpower retrenches, America’s enemies will be quick to scent opportunity.
Longer wait times, fewer doctors, more bureaucracy, massive IRS expansion, explosive debt, the end of the Pax Americana, and global Armageddon. Must try to look on the bright side…
He also aims to make Republicans partners in the destruction of America, by making us endorse his cataclysmic irresponsibility — when we take back Congress, we will be faced with two vicious choices: Raise taxes ruinously, or allow the country to repudiate its debt and go bankrupt. Because the best option — repealing the bill — will be impossible until a real President is installed and next-to-impossible thereafter.
March 21, 2010 at 6:10 pm
Ugh. Thanks for posting this (I think). Btw, Karen, I read your posts from earlier about your fears about your future employment, or lack thereof, and I just wanted to say that I’m praying for you and hope all will be well. These are some very very very hard times, on an individual level and a larger social level. Hard to hang in, but hang in we must, and then some. You sure do more than your fair share of heavy lifted. My hat’s off to you. Always.
March 21, 2010 at 6:21 pm
Thanks Carol. I really appreciate that.
March 21, 2010 at 6:15 pm
Ace sometimes gets very extreme.
This is a horrible horrible bill, I agree with much of what Ace said.
the bill cannot be repeal b/c of the asshole in the WH.
BUT, major major chunks of it can be not funded in the budget, and that is where the repubs can stop much of the damage, until there comes a repub president to repeal it.
the courts will play a huge role, the states aren’t sitting back, they cannot afford this crap.
it will collapse the system not in 5 years, but within 1 year, state revenues will plummet even faster.
March 21, 2010 at 6:22 pm
The problem, as Steyn says, is the huge cost of this bill. It’s not only going to suck all the money from defense, it’s going to throw the incoming R’s into a terrible choice of either raising taxes up the kazoo (and people will then blame guess who- the R’s!) or else letting the country go bankrupt…. the D’s had this all planned out…. it’s a catch-22.
March 21, 2010 at 7:44 pm
We need to make sure that 2010 gives us a veto-proof majority. And with the right blend of common sense fiscal conservatives. That way, anything he tries to pass will fail. And anything we overturn or write new laws to overwrite them, he can veto…but the congress would be able to override that veto. He’d be more than a lame duck.
And, while we’re at it, he and all of the congressional members when in our regions/states/towns should be protested and shamed. The anger should rise to such a crescendo that they just stay in DC until they have to go home because we kicked them out.
March 22, 2010 at 1:36 am
Maybe we could do a money bomb for the newly elected representatives to help out.
March 21, 2010 at 6:08 pm
Do you guys think this will motiviate Palin even more to run? Also, do you think the passage of this socialistic piece of crap, will further elevate Palin as the true foil to Obama?
March 21, 2010 at 6:14 pm
Well at the moment (if I remember correctly) both she and Benishek are rapidly gaining fans. I really truly believe that she is the ONLY chance Republicans have at winning the election in 2012 whether it be by VP or as the Presidential candidate. As of yet we have yet to see any type of strong candidate pop up and we NEED her….and I think that if pitted against Obama she would slaughter him. ;)
March 21, 2010 at 6:19 pm
The tenor of the next few posts on her Facebook page will tell us a lot about her intentions, I think.
March 21, 2010 at 6:22 pm
I think it will light a fire under those voters who want REAL conservative candidates. “Pro-life Democrat” will be seen for what it is – an impossibility.
Now here’s someone I could support:
http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Petraeus%20tipped%20make%20White%20House%20next%20campaign/2706576/story.html
Petraeus and Palin?
You betcha!
March 21, 2010 at 6:24 pm
Just like “blue dogs democrats” and “moderate democrats” will be seen as what they really are… SHAMS AND FAKES. Oh.. and “pro life democrats” too. Stupak! (did you catch me SPITTING that name out with real spit?)…
March 21, 2010 at 7:23 pm
It’s pronunciation is handy for that, isn’t it?
March 21, 2010 at 6:13 pm
http://www.oconnorschryslerdodgejeep.com/
From Facebook.
This company dontes lots to Stupak.
We should all email them and tell them we will never buy a car from them. (even though I am sure I will not be driving 8 hours to buy a car from anyone.. )
But still.
Maybe swamping thier email system with.. Why do you support a guy who supports the murder of babies when its convient politically?… that might change thier tune about sending money to Stupak ever again. ; )
March 21, 2010 at 6:16 pm
The bright side is we got to see some of these politicians true colors come out. If you are a true Blue Dog or moderate, how can you vote for this? How can you vote for the rationing and cuts in services under Obamacare if you are pro-life?
March 21, 2010 at 6:25 pm
We have learned from this whole Healthcare debacle that there is no such thing as a Blue Dog or Moderate Democrat in Washington.
March 21, 2010 at 6:38 pm
They’re extinct in Congress.
March 21, 2010 at 6:51 pm
Stretch Pelosi and her Politburo exposed and exterminated the Blue Dogs last year with the stimulus and porkulus.
We also need to target Steny Hoyer.
March 22, 2010 at 3:02 am
there is one: Marion Berry voted No
March 21, 2010 at 6:17 pm
Go to http://stupakforcongress.com/ and sign up for his email updates. You’ll find out all about his fundraisers and appearances. If you are in his district or near it (the UP of Michigan and northern Michigan) you can make an appearance at his event and make your dissatisfaction known!
March 21, 2010 at 6:22 pm
BRILLINAT IDEA!
March 21, 2010 at 6:32 pm
I want to do it (I am within driving distance of his district), but I don’t want him thinking I support him by signing up for his emails.
Guess I’ll just hold my nose and just sign up. Blech.
March 21, 2010 at 7:10 pm
Think of it as getting intel on the enemy. That should make you feel better about it.
March 21, 2010 at 7:39 pm
Okay. I’m gonna feel all icky though. Barf.
March 21, 2010 at 7:48 pm
Hahah. Hold the barf until you meet up with him personally. Then let it roll.
You can always act as if you are embarassed.
March 21, 2010 at 7:48 pm
You can always sign up AND contact his office to express your ire.
March 21, 2010 at 6:17 pm
You may have already seen this, but Ace has video of Stupak saying last year that he’d vote for Obamacare even if it paid for abortions.
The whole Stupak Pro-Life Dozen thing has just been a distraction, a “look at me, I demand face-time… and a good bribe or two” ruse.
March 21, 2010 at 6:18 pm
I don’t post often but read you all several times a day. I. Love. You. Guys.
Thank you for what you are doing, and please know that I am directing everyone I know to this site.
You’re keeping me sane and motivated. God bless you.
March 21, 2010 at 6:19 pm
Dan Beneshek has a FB page and all us Palin Patriots are over there telling him way to go and that he cant fix stupak but we can vote you in Dan!!

March 21, 2010 at 6:21 pm
The Stupper is speaking now on the floor of the House. He sounds very defensive — self-exculpatory just like Ben Nelson’s speeches.
March 21, 2010 at 6:37 pm
Stupak is done.
March 21, 2010 at 7:25 pm
Yeah. I wonder how he does with that in the mirror?
March 22, 2010 at 3:04 am
was the $700,000 worth it?
March 21, 2010 at 6:23 pm
Roll Call is reporting that House Democrats have now lined up the votes to push through their massive $1 Trillion+ government-run healthcare bill.
Our leaders in Washington have betrayed the will of We The People, and our Constitution. So now we must “Vote Them Out”
We launch the “Tea Party Express: Just Vote Them Out” tour in 6 days and will be launching campaigns to defeat these Members of Congress one-by-one, along with hundreds of thousands of supporters at our tea party rallies along the way.
We still need to raise $36,000 to fund this effort. And we need your help – because we simply must “Vote Them Out.” They’ve betrayed us too many times folks. Now we must raise the money to defeat their re-election, and hand them a pink slip.
$36,000 in 6 days – we can reach this goal, if we make this a team effort where every person reading this pitches in.
To contribute online – JUST CLICK HERE.
We’re still looking for 176 more Americans who can make a contribution of $100, $250 or $500 or more today to help us reach our goal. Will you please be one of these great patriots?
Please make a contribution to the Tea Party Express III effort. You can contribute as little as $5 up the maximum allowed contribution of $5,000. Remember – we need to raise $36,000 by March 27th. Time is ticking away, and we need your support now.
You can contribute online right now – HERE.
If you prefer you may also mail in a contribution to our finance headquarters:
Tea Party Express
770 L Street #1020

Thanks for the info. I hope you’ll post it at every conservative site out there.
March 21, 2010 at 6:49 pm
They need to all go, first before Obama. Biggest reason, they’re the ones writing the laws and allocating the funds.
This needs to be our top priority.
March 21, 2010 at 6:24 pm
Benishek closing in on 4000 that’s more than 2000 in an hour….and still no donate button.
March 21, 2010 at 6:26 pm
over 4,000 now!
March 21, 2010 at 6:27 pm
Not a great sign in terms of planning and strategy to have no donate button on today of all days. Sheesh!
March 21, 2010 at 6:29 pm
He had no clue Stupak would be an idiot…but he needs to get the paypal button up. He’d have 100,000 by the end of the day…maybe more than that.
I’ve called the RNC, RomneyCentral…nobody answering their phones. It’s no wonder we have idiots in DC.
March 21, 2010 at 6:33 pm
Sorry, but there was plenty of evidence he’d be an idiot. That’s just naive and stupid, in my opinion. I want Stupak out, but it’s beyond frustrating that his opponent wasn’t set up and ready to hit the ground running by today at the latest.
March 21, 2010 at 6:35 pm
O.K. let’s take it easy on Dr. Benishek,,, he was like a lot of us believing that Stupak maybe would show some sand..” So’ now we just need to give a little time for the Dr.B to adjust to all in new found friend’s…:) “lol”
March 21, 2010 at 10:31 pm
Good point. Also as you read his bio, he is no career politician. He’s a lot like you and me and probably never saw this coming at this velocity.
March 21, 2010 at 11:00 pm
Plus, he just announced his candidacy less than a week ago. It takes a bit of time to get organized.
March 21, 2010 at 6:46 pm
I just called the RNC on his behalf and requested their support to set up site funding asap. They were very receptive to the info and will be contacting Dan Banishek directly. They understand the opportunity.
FYI the GOP number in DC is:
1-202-863-8500 (24/7)
March 21, 2010 at 6:32 pm
Sarah on Oreilly TONIGHT at 8pm eastern!
March 21, 2010 at 6:32 pm
And I know HB you don’t like Romney but know this…When Scott Brown started taking off BAM!!!!! Romney was all over it and he helped Scott Brown ENORMOUSLY at the end. Romney even put up that post from you guys on FB…he has a well oiled machine working for him.
I wish Benishek did…he is losing so much money.
March 21, 2010 at 6:34 pm
don’t worry, I am waiting for him to put up his donate money.
People will not forget.
I have read chunks of this bill, if you think people are pissed off now… O.M.G,
wait in the comning months.
March 21, 2010 at 6:33 pm
This guy is worse than the liberals. He is a hypocrite of the first order . If he has an ounce of intellectual honesty he would admit that the executive order that he got from Obama has no value. He was just looking for cover.
March 21, 2010 at 6:35 pm
Yup. He was just looking for anything to give himself an out, even if he knew it was bs. Pathetic.
March 21, 2010 at 7:13 pm
Stupak reminds me of a kid who hides his eyes and then thinks “no one can see me”. He is THAT stupid.
March 22, 2010 at 3:07 am
he got $700,000 as a bribe plus the worthless EO
March 21, 2010 at 6:34 pm
From The American Spectator:
http://spectator.org/blog/2010/03/21/dan-benishek-just-became-the-m
Dan Benishek Just Became the Most Popular Republican in America
By Robert Stacy McCain on 3.21.10 @ 6:19PM
You’ve probably never heard of Dan Benishek, but he’s a Republican running against Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI), who struck a deal with Nancy Pelosi that is believed to be the decisive vote to pass ObamaCare.
More than 1,700 people have already joined Benishek’s Facebook page.
Liberty First PAC has added Stupak to its target list, and Stupak is probably going to be on a lot of other lists pretty soon.
March 21, 2010 at 6:37 pm
He has over 4000 now…and growing by by about 100 a minute and no damn DONATE BUTTON. It takes just minutes to set up a website and get a paypal button.

Look at this email response I rec’d from Stupak:
Thank you for your recent email correspondence.
I receive a very large volume of email each day and use this input to gauge how
the people of the First Congressional District of Michigan feel about various
issues. Your correspondence is important to me and I want a chance to review
your message prior to sending you a final response.
Constituents of the 1st District of Michigan will receive an email response from
me. If your concerns require immediate attention, please contact my toll free
number @ 1-800/950-7371.
If you are writing on the topic of Accutane, send an email message to
stupak.public.accutane@mail.house.gov. Please include your name, postal address
and phone number. You may also sign up for my Email Updates and visit my website
at http://www.house.gov/stupak/.
I appreciate the time you take to share your views with me.
Sincerely,
Bart Stupak
Member of Congress
He lies in the very first sentence.
March 22, 2010 at 3:12 am
aha, now there is a very vital clue.
How many of you know “Accutane”?
Let me clue you in about Accutane. It is a drug… oh yeah.. you would know that. it is used for skin conditions…. doctors do not prescribe Accutane unless they think there is no alternative. If a woman took Accutane and became pregnant… there could be birth defects.
In other words…. no wonder he does not want to see tort reform……
March 21, 2010 at 6:38 pm
Greta’s got two video’s of Stupak, one of which was just recorded with her. I haven’t had time to watch yet, but the way she has them juxtaposed, I have the feeling he’s going to contradict himself. You know. Just a wee bit.
Rep. Bart Stupak ‘On the Record’ (Sunday Health Care Special)

Good point!

Everyone get ready for all the “heart warming stories” of how all the insurance company reforms that go into effect emmediatly “have saved lives” and “saved families from lossing their homes” I guarantee that Obama, the dems and the LSM are going to be filling the american people’s heads with loads of trash.
Never again! under-estimate the stupidity of many of our fellow americans! Never

JUST HIT 6000 ON FB — LOVE IT
March 21, 2010 at 6:52 pm
I’ve already added Dan Benishek to my facebook friends and I will send him money as well. Stupak’s career is DONE..we all knew he would vote for this socialist crap, but to pretend that the abortion part of the bill is now gone, LOL Stupak is now officially dumber then Joe Biden
March 21, 2010 at 7:06 pm
Stupak isn’t dumb. He’s just a lying liar who planned to vote for this thing all along. The worthless EO is just designed to give him and Dr. Utopia “cover”. They know it will be struck down by the courts, and then they’ll say “hey, we tried!”. They’re just playing games with the public.
Bart “Stupaked” the nation.

March 21, 2010 at 7:09 pm
Ohh…what a COINCEDENCE
March 21, 2010 at 8:00 pm
He really is stupid!!! To announce that on the day you betrayed the people of your district, the people that believed you cared about unborn children, the people of the State of Michigan, and the people of the US is monumentally stupid. Now everyone knows he got the bribe and took it!!!
He should have waited for weeks or even months! And it really is the 30 pieces of silver…which even as a child I thought was so very little to betray a friend, a savior, a loved one. Hundreds of thousands??!! When the senators are getting billions?
If it wasn’t so serious, it would be laughable.
March 22, 2010 at 12:23 am
I posted it on Benishek’s fb, and emailed it to Malkin and Rush.
March 21, 2010 at 7:09 pm
I found this on National Review on-line.
I love the comment Pat Caddell makes about watching the vote on MSNBC:
“I kid you not: I’m watching Henry Waxman, but my TV says I’m watching “Witness to Jonestown.”"
Do you think it could be prophetic?
All the dems are drinking the poison kool-aid serverd up by Obama.
March 21, 2010 at 8:13 pm
Oh, that’s funny!
March 21, 2010 at 7:12 pm
Sarah Palin was just on BOR’s show on Fox – she’s fired up – Run Sarah Run!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 21, 2010 at 7:15 pm
I hope they post a link soon so I can see it!!
March 21, 2010 at 7:48 pm
I saw Sarah, too. She’s madder ‘n hell.
I normally never watch oreilly because he is so useless, but wanted to see Sarah.
He sounds as if he likes the bill (big surprize) and told Sarah that there is some ‘good stuff’ in the bill and asked her if she would at least cede (his word) THAT.
She said that individual problems could have been fixed individually without the government taking over healthcare and she made the case very forcefully. I get the impression that OReilly doesn’t like her. (Again…big surprize.)
Then…he had Michele Bachmann on and WOW…she was awesome. She covered a lot, and explained to BO (man, he’s dense) that the IRS will be in charge of administering this monster and that that makes no sense.
So…BO asked her who SHE would prefer to adminster it, and after she said that she didn’t want any part of it, he insisted, and asked the question again.
Michele said why of course it only makes sense that the health department administer it, which shut BO up. I think he was secretly impressed at Michele’s knowledge and common sense approach.
Both these women are just amazing. I actually think the two of them could fix most of the problems, given the chance in 2012.
March 21, 2010 at 8:34 pm
I just love them both. I get torn with Bachmann on a ticket with Palin, though, because we need her SO BADLY right where she is. I think I would like to see her become speaker instead of VP.
March 21, 2010 at 9:09 pm
Bill likes Sarah…believe me. He was very happy with her answers. Bill thinks that he is first and foremost a voice for the “folks”. But he inevitably takes the hits from both sides, so meh. I think he has a secret crush on Sarah…as we all do!
March 21, 2010 at 11:32 pm
I never used to like Bill O’Reilly because I thought he was too right wing (I fell for all the LSM & SNL baloney). But I’ve been watching him and actually I am liking him more and more.
I DON’T think he likes the health care bill. He was playing “Devil’s Advocate” in the portion with Sarah, and said as much at the beginning.
March 22, 2010 at 12:29 pm
You know what Rush Limbaugh called O’Reilly in an interview a year or two ago? “Ted Baxter.” Very appropriate, and every time I look at him, spouting off, that’s what I think.

Okay: I will be watching with great interest how you accomplish this feat. Then I will take your methods and successes to Tea Party people here in Washington State so we can defeat these democraaaaaaaats, starting with Patty Murray, who had an original thought, let me see – uh NEVER! It is my fondest hope that every single democraaaaaaaat get soundly defeated in November so we can get this socialist health care bill repealed.
Does that mean that all the pork attached to it gets repealed?
We need to mobilize now!!
Again, I will be watching with avid interest in how you deal with Stupak and Slaughter.
March 21, 2010 at 11:33 pm
I’m with you Vicki! I’d love to see the “Troll in Tennis Shoes” taken down next election. And her adulteress co-hort Maria Cantwell too!
March 21, 2010 at 7:16 pm
Pls, everybody go to Benishek’s FB page. He has over 5,000 friends, most of them signed on in the last couple of hours. I hope somebody designs a website for him and adds online contributions.
March 21, 2010 at 7:18 pm
Via Facebook:
“Benishek is working on getting his website up and running so they can take online donations. Because as we all know… Stupid is as Stupak does.”
March 21, 2010 at 7:29 pm
I love that!!
March 22, 2010 at 12:22 am
He has paypal working now. link in upper left side of fb page.

March 21, 2010 at 7:40 pm
One of the posters spoke to Dr Dan.. the pay pay button will be up shortly!
EVERYONE… donate what you can..
it will make a HUGE statement to congress if Dr Dan raises a ton of money.
March 21, 2010 at 8:21 pm
I just got a message back from his daughter. They will have a site and on line funding set up by noon tomorrow.
The entire family is amazed at how rapidly this is happening. Wonderfully, happily, amazed. But amazed nonetheless.
March 21, 2010 at 7:24 pm
I’m a website designer. I’d like to help Benishek get his page up and running so he can take donations immediately.
I’ve tried calling his number but it just rings.
If anyone has a way to reach him, please let me know.
mb.house@charter.net
March 21, 2010 at 7:26 pm
Mary– go to his FB page, some folk’s have posted that they have spoke to him and maybe they can give you a number?
March 21, 2010 at 7:32 pm
I have his campaign number… it just rang and rang. No voice mail.
I’ll give it a go tomorrow.
March 21, 2010 at 7:40 pm
I emailed, facebookd and tweeted him earlier about having his site up tonight. I’m a webiste builder as well. No response yet. He is blowing a great opportunity.
March 21, 2010 at 7:29 pm
Yeah, because it’s Sunday night and everybody’s home with family. Try again tomorrow morning . . . hopefully someone will be there bright and early.
March 21, 2010 at 8:22 pm
You want me to put you in touch with his daughter?
March 22, 2010 at 12:21 am
I’ll try him early Monday. If that doesn’t work then sure. :)
March 21, 2010 at 7:26 pm
Schtupak…the name fits.
March 21, 2010 at 7:30 pm
I just read that the deal involved $800,000 for a local airport improvements. I’m sure he got a little more of that, but the ironic thin is that if everyone against the HC Bill donated $1 towards the airport it would have far surpassed $800,000. Not that THAT is right, just sayin.
March 21, 2010 at 7:30 pm
Boyz Benishek needs help. If he had a way to donate online he would have already raked in a fortune! I’m sure he wasn’t prepared for this and probably doesn’t know how to set things up properly. Please contact him and offer to help. His FB page is approaching 6k all in the matter of about 30 minutes. People are very angry. If there was a PayPal or something he’d be rolling in it. Imagine the chills that would go up their smug spines if we could get a couple million in his campaign coffers by the end of the week.
March 21, 2010 at 7:31 pm
The Three Stoopaks
Stupak: I want a piece of turkey [Bribe]
Pelosi: Me too
Obama: O, so you want a piece of turkey…
Stupak: Yeah, give it to me now
Obama: You got it…
March 21, 2010 at 7:31 pm
I know Benishek is getting all the attention but there is another candidate running too. Linda Goldthorpe. Here’s her site…take a look before you make any decisions. I still haven’t decided other than I want to defeat Stupak but Linda has impressed me.

March 21, 2010 at 7:41 pm
Support Dr. Benishek for Freedom!
Take down the Democrat Stupak.
March 21, 2010 at 7:44 pm
We need to identify the donors, publish their names and associated businesses so folks can decide to go elsewhere. We also need to start making contributions and nationalize the election. We need to specifically target flippers and every so called blue dog who hide behind the myth of fiscal conservativism but votes with Pelosi, Reid and Obama.
March 21, 2010 at 7:45 pm

March 21, 2010 at 7:46 pm
A pro-life group (I don’t know who) just stripped Stupak of the “Defender of Life” award.
March 21, 2010 at 7:50 pm
Okay . . . Susan B. Anthony List is the group. They were going to give him the award at the gala . . . well, now they’re not.
March 21, 2010 at 8:12 pm
Wow. That’s big. They are shunning him! Love it!

“If everything I want [is] in the final bill, I like everything in the bill except you have public funding for abortion, and we had a chance to run our amendment and we lost. OK, I voted my conscience, stayed true to my principles, stayed true to the beliefs of this district, could I vote for healthcare? Yes I still could.”

March 21, 2010 at 7:57 pm
Hope he has many big body guards, all’s fair in love and politics!
March 21, 2010 at 7:51 pm
The freaking Dems worked it all out. They strategized who was up for re-election, who wasn’t, which race was competitive, which candidates they’d be willing to let fall, and “allowed” “no” votes, accordingly. But it won’t work. I don’t care how they voted. The Dems need to be voted out of office in November. Every. last. one.
March 21, 2010 at 7:52 pm
Daniel Benishek Thank you for all of your support and donations. The Benishek for Congress PayPal account should be ready by Monday 3/22. We can do this!
He just wrote to everyone on Facebook
March 21, 2010 at 7:54 pm
Awww, yay!!! :D
March 21, 2010 at 7:52 pm
So I just found out something new…being a woman is a “pre-existing condition”! Thank goodness for Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D-CA_ for educating me on this fact and that enacting this Trillion dollar bill will correct this injustice!!! (As well as domestic violence)
If they really cared about women they would not have treated Hillary and Sarah so poorly during the election.
March 21, 2010 at 7:53 pm
WTF? Please explain further, or provide a link, or both. Thanks!
March 21, 2010 at 7:57 pm
Woolsey said it on CSPAN in the context of this bill being a benefit for women. It’s *all over* twitter:
http://www.google.com/search?q=Congresswoman+Lynn+Woolsey+Being+a+woman+is+a+pre+existing+condition&hl=en&sa=X&tbs=rltm:1&tbo=u&ei=MsCmS8CREcGXtgfnjMnDBA&oi=realtime_result_group_more_results_link&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CB0Q5QUwAw
I think she’s trying to sway votes and saying that this bill will be good for women. It was also in the context of this bill lowering domestic violence.
March 21, 2010 at 8:01 pm
Ugh.
These people are deranged.
March 21, 2010 at 8:02 pm
Thanks. I’m a twitter idiot. Don’t “twitter.” But thanks for the link.
March 21, 2010 at 8:05 pm
I don’t twitter either (I may have to change that though) but I have found it useful for searching quotes and things since articles/blogs won’t have it up for another half hour.
March 22, 2010 at 3:24 am
lowering domestic violence? What utter BS…. my BS meter has just exploded upon that kind of thinking!! :)
March 22, 2010 at 3:25 am
when I write on my blogs, I have it set so that any new posts are announced on Twitter.
I have no idea how to use it otherwise :)
March 22, 2010 at 6:36 am
Pelosi said this last week. She says that because women are the child bearers or something to that effect, we all have pre-existing conditions. We have female problems or some such BS. It’s a really twisted logic along with the “curse” that we get each month during pre-menopausal years.
March 21, 2010 at 7:52 pm
Oh, and here we go. Next on the agenda: Immigration Reform:
No coverage of health reform protests, but we get this:
Thousands Call for Immigration Reform in Capital
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2010/03/21/us/AP-US-Immigration-March.html?partner=rss&emc=rss
It begins…
WASHINGTON (AP) — Frustrated with the lack of action to overhaul the country’s immigration system, tens of thousands of demonstrators rallied on the National Mall and marched through the streets of the capital Sunday, waving American flags and holding homemade signs in English and Spanish.
March 21, 2010 at 8:08 pm
It just as Rush said it would happen. As soon as Dr. Utopia signs the bill, you will not hear anything else about it. The media will ignore it in hopes that people will forget.
We must not let this happen! Vote all these bums out!
March 21, 2010 at 9:19 pm
Republicans vowed to hold this up if Obamacare passes. Let’s see if they stick to that promise.
March 21, 2010 at 7:54 pm
Let me be the first to say hello to all my comrades. Today marks the day where the socialist dreamed for. The official day where we as people will no longer have our freedoms. Thanks democrats for allowing this great country to be ruined with your quest for socialism and a utopia that simply doesnt exist.
March 21, 2010 at 8:03 pm
Husker!
March 21, 2010 at 8:04 pm
Where do we pick up our all-look-the-same uniforms?
March 21, 2010 at 7:57 pm
Great comment on one of the AT threads:
“Legally amend your W-2 deductions for this year to 8. Starve the beast.”
March 21, 2010 at 8:03 pm
can you explain this?
I want to do this. I understand it means you underpay your taxes during the year so the fed govt is starved for $$,
someone please explain? thanks.
March 21, 2010 at 8:07 pm
I’m no tax lawyer, but I think that:
1. I’m not sure how you can claim any number of a W-2. Perhaps you can, but I’m not sure you have to justify it in some way beyond a certain point. But I’m sure it’d be easy enough to find out.
2. It would just postpone the inevitable, because it’s like pay now or pay later. So if you can legally claim a large number of dependents, you’ll owe big time when April rolls around. But, if a lot of people did this it would hold up a lot of money to the feds for one year. Then, too, they’d probably just print more. Make a worthless dollar even more worthless.
March 21, 2010 at 8:56 pm
VERY GOOD POINT!
I will be doing that.
Yep pay now or pay later.
I choose to pay later.
March 21, 2010 at 9:42 pm
Just put in 9 deductions, and you will get ALL of your money except for SS/Medicare taxes.
They at the end of the year you will owe the IRS, but they won’t owe YOU an IOU when they claim that they are broke.
I can’t believe every American doesn’t do this! It’s not that hard to figure out! Why give the IRS money all year?
Starve the bastards!
If you work for a company you just go to HR and ask that they file a change for you.
March 22, 2010 at 3:28 am
you need someone who is a tax agent or a CPA to explain the process to you. This is something that accountants would understand best.
March 21, 2010 at 8:05 pm
You can do that LEGALLY? How?
March 21, 2010 at 8:18 pm
Just go into your employer and change your W-4 form to 8 dependents.
March 21, 2010 at 8:26 pm
Be careful, though. If you have not had at least 90% of your prior year’s total tax, there is a penalty and you will also be required to make quarterly estimated taxes. It is not worth that. You can look at the return that you are getting ready to file in April and make sure that your total 2010 withholding is 90% of the tax on that return. Then you reduce what you send, but don’t expose yourself to a big penalty and interest.
March 21, 2010 at 8:30 pm
One can list 9 excemptions on W4 without being questioned by IRS, turned in to employer. You can change excemptions any time of year.
The more excemption, the less taxes taken out of your paycheck.
You may have to pay later, if too much is taken out.
A Hillbuzz thread was started on this earlier today
March 22, 2010 at 6:39 am
Hillbuzz has a whole thread about this with a lot of good comments. There are dangers as you can be penalized with fines and interest. Look earlier in the day for this thread.

Theme songs for Stupak…
We’ll be watching him:

We will follow him down:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LuH0ywYVQc
Er, I’m going for the unnervingly relentless pursuit angle here, not the love angle. Not the love angle.
March 21, 2010 at 8:02 pm
Thought you all might find this interesting. The Susan B. Anthony Group (profoundly pro-life) is stripping Stupak of their award.
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/03/pro-life-group-strips-stupak-of-award.php
March 21, 2010 at 8:05 pm
A+ GOOD FOR THEM!
March 21, 2010 at 10:30 pm
I just sent the Susan B. Anthony Group an e-mail praising them. I would encourage you all to do the same. We should let the people who are doing good or trying to do good know that we support them as well. There are 219 seats to fill. Let’s get started now.
March 21, 2010 at 8:02 pm
One of the reasons this donor harrassment will work well for Stupek is I bet many of his donors were people like us who were fooled. Once they start getting calls, they are not only going to pull the money from him, they will in turn do the harassment themselves to Stupek. It’s one thing to just stop getting money from someone…but hell hath no fury like a donor scorned!!!
March 21, 2010 at 8:03 pm
OK, I made a facebook page. Now how do I do the friend thing?
March 21, 2010 at 8:05 pm
lol getting a long list of challengers to support. Don’t forget Djou in Hawaii.
March 21, 2010 at 8:16 pm
Already Donated to Charles Djou (Republican running for open congressional seat in Hawaii. Special election coming up in May.) Waiting for the Doc to set up on-line donation site.
March 22, 2010 at 2:31 am
Yes. This is the next special election coming up very soon in Hawaii for retiring Abercrombie! We need to take this one and keep the mo going!
March 22, 2010 at 3:31 am
Abercrombie has an interesting history. Did you know he was drinking buddies with Ob snr?
March 22, 2010 at 12:33 pm
Aussie: I’ve met Abercrombie. Did not know he was drinking buddies with Obama’s dad – where did you see this?
March 22, 2010 at 6:50 pm
I saw it when I was looking up information. Turns out that one year when Obama Sr. returned to USA he was not there to meet with ex-wife and “son”, although they met him at the airport and took photos. He came to meet his drinking buddies. Abercrombie was mentioned by name in the article.
March 21, 2010 at 8:05 pm
under the tab “add a friend”, type in Dr. Dan’s name and then add him as a friend.
Then go to Dr. Dan’s site and add him as a friend as well
March 21, 2010 at 8:19 pm
Thanks
March 21, 2010 at 8:42 pm
Do a search… then hit add friend.

Is Dr. Benishek going to be Michigan’s Scott Brown?
March 21, 2010 at 8:06 pm
The entire undemocratic party will be MA’s scott brown.
These assholes have to be kicked out.
March 21, 2010 at 8:07 pm
Yes, but I think he’ll be bigger than Scott Brown personally…he’s the underdog that was virtually unknown until 4pm this afternoon. People across the U.S. I don’t think were this gung-ho about Scott Brown. (This is just my opinion though.)
March 21, 2010 at 8:06 pm
To the tune of Stewball:
O Stupak is a Congressman,
And I’m glad he’s not mine.
He said he was pro-life,
But that was a lie.
March 21, 2010 at 8:09 pm
Another Donor…
Gordon MacKay, CEO of Indian Trails Inc. a maker of high end buses and motor coaches.
http://www.indiantrails.com/
What do you want to bet that there are a lot of people out there who would be very displeased to know that they’re buying a bus from a company that supports a lying, pro-abortion politician.
Here’s a phone number..
(800) 292-3831
Give them a call. I did.
March 21, 2010 at 8:16 pm
Sorry, Indian Trails is not a maker of buses, they are a provider of charter bus services!
When you write to them, you should mention that you’ll be talking to every clergyman, every local business leader you know to warn them about companies that support pro-abortion, anti-business politicians like Bart Stupak.
That’s Indian Trails Motor Coaches, supporters of Abortion.
March 21, 2010 at 8:27 pm
And every tea party group heading to Washington!
March 21, 2010 at 9:35 pm
The D.C. protest was amazing! All types of good Americans speaking out. There were blacks, whites, asians, hispanics, all of them Americans. This whole Obamacare debacle has done one positive thing…. it has shown ordinary Americans that no what their background, skin color, heritage or sexuality, we are all Americans and value our liberty. Thanks for that Nancy, Barry, and Harry. Viva la Tea Party!
March 22, 2010 at 12:42 am
Pie,
Did you go to DC?
March 21, 2010 at 8:09 pm
As my husband’s Aunt Wanda told me the last time I saw her before she died, “Stay strong; stay determined.” Didn’t understand it then, do now.
March 21, 2010 at 8:16 pm
I have two Aunt Wandas and I think that all Aunt Wandas are wise, wise women!
March 21, 2010 at 8:10 pm
Benishek has over 6000 facebook fans now, including me. I don’t think Stupak had any idea the wrath he has brought down on himself.
The dems think that this will all blow over by Nov. Boy will they be in for a surprise as this vote them all out movement just gains more and more spend. You can’t thwart the will of the people like this and not expect a huge backlash. When the representatives no longer represent the people, the people will vote them out.
March 21, 2010 at 8:17 pm
I gave up Facebook for Lent, but as soon as Easter comes, I’ll be sure to fan him!!
March 21, 2010 at 8:28 pm
He might have a button by then
March 21, 2010 at 9:00 pm
Someone should call Stupak’s attention to Benishek’s rising star…he hasn’t voted yet.

Has anyone found any more information about the 3rd candidate in Stup[id]pak’s district?
“Exploring the linda4con mystery. Evidently the same people who funded Debra Medina fund her along with Ron Paul’s cpac. I think I see a pattern. The progresso-libs are cracking and it is ugly”
I don’t know enough about Debra Medina to comment if this is a good or bad thing…???
March 21, 2010 at 8:23 pm
She is a Ron Paul nutjob. IMO
March 21, 2010 at 11:36 pm
Hey! I like Ron Paul! Oh..wait. That may not be a contradiction. Carry on.

March 21, 2010 at 8:34 pm
LOL… if so, it was started by Gore.
March 21, 2010 at 8:34 pm
Did everyone see the idea to send Stupak his 30 (100) pieces of silver for his sellout? This was on redstate.com
http://www.mardigrasoutlet.com/catalog/1007.html
Order them and send them to:
Congressman Bart Stupak (you’ll not want to use the word honorable)
1229 W. Washington St.
Marquette, MI 49855
(906) 228 3700
March 21, 2010 at 8:37 pm
This is brilliant.
March 21, 2010 at 8:39 pm
And this company will love you too!
March 21, 2010 at 10:33 pm
Send them FED-EX!!
March 21, 2010 at 8:36 pm
Evidently, Boehner is now working on a Motion to Recommit and will be introducing it. Pray! Now!
A motion to recommit returns a bill to committee, in effect killing it. However, a motion to recommit with instructions is a last opportunity to amend the bill.
The instructions to the committee direct changes to the text of the bill. If adopted, the chairman of the named committee immediately stands and reports the change back to the House. The next step is the House vote on final passage of the bill.
Minority Members receive priority of recognition for offering motions to recommit.
March 21, 2010 at 8:43 pm
And apparently they’re still a few votes short? http://ow.ly/1p9Oy
March 21, 2010 at 8:46 pm

March 21, 2010 at 8:55 pm
Is this exhausting anyone else?
You know, August 2008 I had no interest in politics – none. I had an idea of who Barack Obama was, and preferred Hillary, but leaned more toward the Republicans because of Obama’s abortion stance.
Then Sarah Palin was nominated for VP.
Then I found Hillbuzz (linked to me by a Conservative friend) and my life has changed.
Since then, I worked the Republican office for Sarah Palin. I’ve called and written letters to my Senators and my Congressman. I’ve made phone calls, sent donations, even posted Facebook updates on elections, etc. (this alone was huge for me as I live in a very liberal state). I’ve even started reading my kids’ textbooks and I’m re-educating myself on the Constitution.
I’ve never prayed so hard as I have over the last couple of days. I’ve lit candles. I’ve said rosaries and for the first time ever, I’m saying a novena. I’m not giving up hope, but darn it, I’m tired.
Please, Lord, let some act of God stop this darn thing so we can all have a little bit of rest.
Yet, as I type this, I know darn well that tomorrow morning I’ll be rested and back to work fighting this crap.
March 21, 2010 at 9:00 pm
I’m beyond tired. Right now I feel like the air has been taken out of my tires and I’m sitting here with a 4 tires flat. I’m fighting depression. Yes, I know that tomorrow will be another day. And yet, somehow… it seems that I feel like after tonight things will never be the same for anyone in America again, including me. Tomorrow may seem like any other day- and yet, underneath the surface, tomorrow is the first day after the dems voted to destroy America. And that will affect every man, woman, and child, in America from now on in dramatic ways.
March 21, 2010 at 9:09 pm
If I were a medical practitioner with one of the Congresscritters — or Obama et al. — as a patient, I would refuse to see them, much as Medicaid patients are often turned away on account of the government’s failure to reimburse properly.
March 21, 2010 at 9:13 pm
Our hosts are just beginning to fight. It’s ok to get tired and need some encouragement. But remember what Winston Churchill (I think) said, “Never, never, never give up.”
March 21, 2010 at 9:19 pm
Sadly, they can go to Bethesda and see the military doctors.
Karen, please do not allow “them” to hold your happiness hostage. This is reigniting a respect for freedom that is overdue.
March 21, 2010 at 10:29 pm
Hang in there, Karen. People have fought back from far worse and won. So will we. Give yourself a break and take care. I think it’s safe to say many of us are flipping back and forth between grief and rage. It’s exhausting. And it’s been a long haul. But battles such as this aren’t easy and aren’t won quickly. In the end, we will prevail. Meanwhile, pray and know you’re doing the right thing.
March 22, 2010 at 3:53 am
where is that fighting spirit.
You are now in the trenches and it is not time to lose hope.
The real war is just beginning. Take heart because the first of the actions against this piece of crap is going to hit the courts as soon as it is signed by Dr. Utopia the fraud.
March 21, 2010 at 9:20 pm
Thank you for all you have done, Michelle. That is inspiring.
March 21, 2010 at 11:50 pm
Yes, I’m tired, too.
I’m not going to bounce back by tomorrow — I’ve spent too many late night trying to get faxes through (900 pages this week), and put too many other things on hold last week that I now have to take care of pretty urgently.
It might take me a few days or even a few weeks before I can really get back into the fight. But I’ll be back…
March 21, 2010 at 8:59 pm
Someone over at Dr. B’s page suggested doing a Google bomb. They said just type Benishek for Congress in. Or even Dan Ben will do it.
March 21, 2010 at 9:01 pm
Well I just turned off Fox.. Geraldo just took over. I can’t stand that man. He’s as bad as Shep if not worse.
March 21, 2010 at 9:02 pm
I just did the same thing. His voice grates on me.
March 21, 2010 at 9:19 pm
He’s had more “work” done than Nancy. And I’m old enough to remember Jimmy Hoffa’s tomb, or safe, or whatever.
I don’t think he gets the ratings at Fox, but they keep him on.
March 22, 2010 at 8:32 am
all I can say is I changed the channel and yes shepard smith is just as bad or worse than geraldo can’t stand either one of them.
March 22, 2010 at 12:21 am
HI guys. We changed our channel when Geraldo came on also. I don’t post often but I wanted to comment on Shep Smith. He is from my hometown, Holly Springs, MS and he went to a all white school Marshall Academy. It was started in the late 60′s. I think he is a hypocrite. Marshall Academy was started for the rich kids so they wouldn’t have to go to school with the black kids. He is younger than I am but I remember well when that school was started and why as I graduated in 66, the yr before Marshall Academy was formed. Thought you might find this info interesting.
March 22, 2010 at 6:47 am
Thanks Janie.
March 22, 2010 at 8:34 am
you go girl let everyone know what shepard smith is like and I know he feels the same today as he did back then
March 21, 2010 at 9:02 pm
The GOP should throw everything at Stupak to win against him, get a Scot Brown like candidate, he deserves to go down he has no backbone.
March 22, 2010 at 3:55 am
they are getting ready to throw everything at fancy Nancy the Piglosi
March 21, 2010 at 9:04 pm
Why are we surprised by Stupak any-way’s..” and also, again this administration showed it’s true color’s– Obama could not sell the Health Care bill civilly and by the rule’s of law that apply to do so’ So, Obama decides to break the law to pass this Bill instead…”All smoke and mirror’s”
Nancy was born into a family of thuggery politics, she was going to pass this damn thing regardless”"”!
and all the while’ calling the Tea party protester’s racist’s yet again…:) oh’my ”’ this is so shocking”
March 21, 2010 at 10:34 pm
Absolutely not shocking Cali-Gal, you are so right!
Re Stupak: There is no such species as a true, solid pro-life Democrat. Any true prolifer had Stupak nailed long ago as a yes vote in the end regardless of how the abortion funding part went.
March 21, 2010 at 9:05 pm
Benishek is closing in on 8000. I went to dinner it was 5200 now it’s almost 8000…still no donate button/website.
March 21, 2010 at 9:06 pm
The website is up (although still bare to the bones) and he said that the papal link will be here tomorrow. (For donations you have to be approved by Paypal in a different way than just a regular account.)
March 21, 2010 at 10:32 pm
I love the idea of a Papal link! It sounds very holy.
March 21, 2010 at 9:10 pm
the website is comning tommorow.
March 21, 2010 at 10:32 pm
Does anyone know much about this guy? I don’t. But a general comment is that I would guess that a lot of schmucks will try to capitalize on the rage that is brewing across the country. And we need to take care that we support candidates that are descent folks. In our quest to boot out the Dems we need to take care not to usher in some other version of crazy.
March 22, 2010 at 3:57 am
it is his opponent that you have to watch… the other GOP candidate…. not sure if she is trustworthy… and she is probably a Truther.
March 21, 2010 at 9:08 pm
You know… earlier last week Bill Clinton made the unsolicited remark that if this passes Hillary will be the happiest person on earth and he (Bill) will be 2nd happiest. It will be interesting to hear what Hillary says about this. If she stands with the dem donkeys who passed this, and brays along with them… if she’s beaming from ear to ear… well…. :-(
March 21, 2010 at 9:13 pm
was it meant that she would be happy for the american public? or she would be happy because Obama managed to become the most unpopular president in history?
March 21, 2010 at 9:15 pm
No, Bill made the statement that they had wanted a bill like this but hadn’t succeeded and when this passes they will be the happiest people on earth. It was about this atrocity that he said that.

Former President Bill Clinton may have visited with Senate Democrats on Tuesday to discuss climate change, but he left the meeting talking effusively about the need to pass health care reform.
Moments after leaving the Democrats’ weekly luncheon, where he was invited by Sen. John Kerry (Mass.) to talk about climate change legislation, Clinton emphasized the need to move health care reform past the finish line in the coming days. He said nobody will be celebrating the bill’s passage more than the Clintons — not President Barack Obama, not White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel — in part because his wife, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, unsuccessfully took on the issue on during his presidency.
“Maybe Hillary will be the happiest person in America. I’ll be the second happiest person. Even more than President Obama, even more than Rahm, even more than all the people that have been laboring over this forever. I just want it to pass and I think it will,” Clinton told reporters.
Clinton said the final bill “doesn’t have to be perfect” since lawmakers will have to keep working on the issue for years to come. He also cited a January study by Harvard and University of Southern California economists that found “any version of these bills we’re batting around” will lead to as many as 400,000 jobs per year.
March 21, 2010 at 9:23 pm
Yeah…they’ll be the happiest people on earth because the VERY SAME DEMOCRATS who stabbed them in the back will be OUT OF A JOB in November.
This is the destruction of the Democratic party as we know it.
March 21, 2010 at 9:09 pm
WoooHooo!!! They are building Benishek’s site…paypal by Monday. Man..if they had had it set up today they’d be rolling in money right now but at least he will probably get a HUGE boost anyway…

Boehner is speaking on the floor and he’s on fire. The word “hell” was uttered …
March 21, 2010 at 9:12 pm
Finally, someone utters something I can stand behind. :P
March 21, 2010 at 9:12 pm
He is royally ticked off and blasting the other Reps …
March 21, 2010 at 9:13 pm
Good. I have always liked him. <3
March 21, 2010 at 9:14 pm
He’s good… but the D’s are probably just sitting there playing games on their computers and not hearing a word of it….after all, THEY are going down in HISTORY as being the best BEST CONGRESS IN U.S. HISTORY, right? Anybody have a barf bag handy?
March 21, 2010 at 10:35 pm
The Dems are talking on and on about “making history” and “unprecedented,” but they fail to realize that:
1. neither of those descriptors automatically means something that’s good. It can just as easily describe something horrible.
2. This IS unprecedented and historic, only not in the way they are framing it. It’s unprecedented to dismantle our beautiful country and turn it into a socialist state, and to do so with thuggish tactics (though I would guess that usually goes hand in hand with socialist states).
March 21, 2010 at 11:54 pm
SO true, Carol.
March 21, 2010 at 9:14 pm
A standing ovation!
March 22, 2010 at 3:59 am
I certainly have no objection to the word hell being uttered. It is mentioned in the Bible :)
The speech was very passionate I did listen to it.
March 21, 2010 at 9:15 pm
Boehner rocked.
March 21, 2010 at 9:17 pm
I called boehner’s office today and told them..
I am one pissed off disgusted ex-democrat. VERY pissed off.
I will never ever vote for another damn fking demon-crat EVER!
I told them, I just wanted to call them and let them know, they are on the side of the American people.
THE UNDEMOCRATIC PARTY IS THE NOW THE PARTY OF TYRANNY!!!!!!!!!!
March 21, 2010 at 9:19 pm
I read that as “The Undemocratic party is the party of ‘tranny’”
March 21, 2010 at 11:55 pm
Hey, that’s giving some very nice, freedom-loving trannies a bad rap!

March 21, 2010 at 9:19 pm
Okay…I’m actually feeling GREAT. I’m not watching TV or the news so the Democrats can gloat. I am on the internet at HB with my brothas and sistahs and I’m at switching around on my conservative and moderate blogs and I’m watching Bineshek KICK *SS on his FB Group…and I’m reading thousands and thousands and thousands of other people who feel JUST LIKE US who are going to be a lightening rod in the DIM-O-CRATS collective brain…SHABAM! They will sooo be history in November.
Don’t sit there watching that crap on TV!!!! Go talk to eachother! Come here and talk!!!! HB…Why aren’t you over on Bineshek’s group advertising this blog???? Come on! We have work to do people. We can’t sit around boohooing about something we knew those idiots were going to do.

March 22, 2010 at 4:32 am
over here the ulcer medication is close to $40…and it is no wonder that I cannot afford my medications.
March 21, 2010 at 9:22 pm
Wasn’t she the one who said we needed to pass the bill so we could know what’s in it?
March 21, 2010 at 9:25 pm
Yes, she was. And I can only hope and pray that karma is a b*tch to that woman.
March 21, 2010 at 9:24 pm

Clinton: Hillary Will Be ‘Happiest Person in America’ if Health Care Passes
By Jennifer Bendery
Roll Call Staff
March 16, 2010, 4:30 p.m.
****
And Benishek is up to almost 8300
March 21, 2010 at 9:27 pm
Benishek is a doctor!!! Even better!

On my next payday I will be sending a donation to Dr. Dan and a postcard to Stupak telling him I am donating to his opponent.
Wonder what will happen with the stock market tomorrow.
Our forefathers have hung their heads in shame.
Goodbye sweet liberty!
March 21, 2010 at 9:28 pm

March 21, 2010 at 9:32 pm
No, I’m going to send the postcard to PELOSI and say that I’m doing it in honor of her terrific job as Speaker.
March 21, 2010 at 9:52 pm
I am sending Pelosi a really pretty birthday card on the 25th telling her that in honor of her birthday I am sending Mr. Dennis a contribution to his campaign against her.
March 21, 2010 at 9:28 pm
Pelosi: being a woman is a pre-existing condition?
What? News to me and I’m a woman.
March 21, 2010 at 9:30 pm
what the hell??!?!?
me 2, what the hell kind of nonsense is this ??
March 21, 2010 at 9:40 pm
Classic Pelosi nonsense.
March 22, 2010 at 4:33 am
it must be the crack that she uses.
March 21, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Hmmm… is being a man a pre-existing condition too? Hey, does that mean that I was a woman or my dad was a man when we were in the womb too??? Didn’t Pelugski just essentially say that abortion is murdering a pre-existing man or woman by saying that? LOL…
March 21, 2010 at 9:31 pm
Yeah she’s repeating what Congresswoman Woolsey said a couple of hours ago. This is new information to me!
March 22, 2010 at 12:07 am
Actually, I think what Pelosi was getting at is this:
Women tend to live longer lives than men and also tend to have more medical problems during their lives, so it’s a fact of nature that women are more costly to insure for health than men are (although women are less costly to insure for life-insurance).
Therefore, it’s natural for health-insurance rates for women to be more costly than rates for men, particularly when reproductive and childbirth coverage are mandated, as they are in I think every state.
Pelosi, though, thinks that, irrepsective of the life, it’s a gross injustice to charge men and women different rates for health insurance. It doesn’t matter that men and women’s risks and needs are different. To her, the natural difference in price is a crime, a bigotry that must be rectified by law.
So her slogan that “being a woman is a pre-existing condition” is meant to decry this difference in cost that she perceives as criminal inequality.
March 22, 2010 at 12:08 am
Reproductive and childbirth is redundant… birth is part of the reproductive process. Oops…
March 22, 2010 at 4:46 am
yes, that is true… but there are other “reproductive” issues… and I do not mean abortion.
I am thinking of the other issues that we have during the fertile years including conditions like fibroids etc. Plus the costs associated with infertility (I must add here I am not all that much in favour of fertility treatments for a variety of reasons… at least some of them.)
However, being a woman is not a pre-existing condition.
March 21, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Here goes nothing….
March 21, 2010 at 9:30 pm
You folks are making me chuckle and I really need it.Thank you.

March 21, 2010 at 9:32 pm

Benishek is up to 8366! Woo!Hoo! They have a website now http://benishekforcongress.net/
WHY are you watching this vote?
March 21, 2010 at 9:34 pm
Because we want to be informed?
March 21, 2010 at 9:42 pm
So if you don’t watch you won’t know it passed? I’m informed but I’m not watching.
March 21, 2010 at 9:37 pm
Morbid fascination?
March 21, 2010 at 9:43 pm
It’s unhealthy to wallow in despair when you could be talking with people about how we can throw this idiots out of office in November =)
March 21, 2010 at 9:44 pm

March 21, 2010 at 10:20 pm
We’re talking about that too, of course.
March 21, 2010 at 9:33 pm
This has been a great 14 months.
Whenever liberals have that rare chance at total power, they screw it up.
But, wow…I’ve never seen anything like this!!
You don’t need me to tell you how the American People are going to react to this.
And really, don’t worry—this garbage will be scrapped long before it ever goes into effect.

March 22, 2010 at 4:58 am
personally, and this is personal, I wish that they would rule on the “natural born citizen” thing… he does not meet the requirement. Nothing to do with being born in Hawaii, but everything to do with the language… it is parents, not parent that must be citizens at the time of birth.
March 21, 2010 at 9:37 pm
TIME TO PRAY.

March 21, 2010 at 9:44 pm
Dems jockeying on the floor to see who gets to vote No.
March 21, 2010 at 9:47 pm
Maybe no one wants to be the last one on the board lol
March 21, 2010 at 9:42 pm
So they’re voting on the senate bill right now?
If so, that means as soon as O signs it, that becomes the “law of the land”. Lord, I never thought I’d see the day- especially after the MA election!!!
March 21, 2010 at 9:43 pm
There are 3 votes, right? Senate first? Then what?

March 21, 2010 at 11:26 pm
If anything good has come out of this, it is that the Republican leadership has finally found thier voice and found their balls. It’s about time.
March 21, 2010 at 9:49 pm
Final vote: 219/212
March 21, 2010 at 9:51 pm
7 little votes that mean so much bad.
March 21, 2010 at 9:52 pm
3 votes over 216. The Stupak group was 6. If Stupak hadn’t caved…. THAT JUDAS has sold his whole country!
March 21, 2010 at 9:57 pm
His argument from earlier today that it would pass anyway was just another deception.
March 21, 2010 at 9:51 pm
Stupak did it.
Tomorrow we fight back, folks.
March 21, 2010 at 9:52 pm
It wasn’t just Stupak, we need to get all of them.
March 21, 2010 at 9:56 pm
Well go on over to Benishek’s FB page and you will see 9000 other people who are commenting faster than the page can keep with who feel JUST LIKE WE DO. They are posting more and more about him, too. He’s a surgeon in upper MI. Sounds like a really, really good guy. He’s getting national coverage right now. I’ve left a few Hillbuzz comments so there might be some people swinging by.
March 21, 2010 at 9:51 pm
When congress passes laws the majority of the country are against you no longer have a democracy, you have a dictatorship. Why do I feel like I am now living in a Soviet state?
Evil never triumphs for long. We will take back this country from these evil people.
March 21, 2010 at 9:54 pm
Article V, U.S. Constitution.
“The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.”
If the States take possession of this Article, they can repeal this, if they don’t go to court first.
March 21, 2010 at 9:58 pm
This law will be ammended, repealed, voted against, sued, held up, burned, caught on fire, ….this is not the end. That’s why you need to turn off the dang news and CELEBRATE because the DIM-O-CRATS just screwed themselves.
March 21, 2010 at 11:11 pm
I agree Bev. The Dems really did something quite major and I don’t think they know the damage they have done to themselves. This is gonna be really interesting. NEVER will I vote dem again, and i’ve been a life long dem until 2008 of course. The LEFT IS DEAD!!! They’ve just nailed shut their own coffin and they’re so stupid they don’t even know it.
March 21, 2010 at 9:59 pm
Does the President still have to sign it before it becomes part of the Constitution?
What I would like to see added to the Constitution is an Amendment that states that the text of all Bills must be read aloud in both the House and Senate before a vote on the Bill is allowed. Thousand pages laws would then be a thing of the past.
March 21, 2010 at 10:04 pm
“Does the President still have to sign it before it becomes part of the Constitution?”
Nope. That’s the beauty of it! Three-fourths of the States ratifying means it’s stick-a-fork-on-it time. Obama can’t touch the States’ repeal through ratification!
March 21, 2010 at 10:05 pm
That is the best news I have heard all day!
March 22, 2010 at 7:46 am
Not only mist the bill be read; there must be a quorum of members present. We do not want bills being read to an empty chamber.
March 23, 2010 at 1:32 pm
Newton, I, too have been trying to spread the word about this but so many people are frightened that it will be a long haul til we can get there. They (understandably) don’t trust even the local/state governments to do this. Many have expressed fear that the Constitution will be weakened instead of made stronger.
March 21, 2010 at 9:51 pm
Well, there we go.
March 21, 2010 at 9:53 pm
Oh snap, the order to recommit is creating controversy…
March 21, 2010 at 9:54 pm
Like what? I’m not watching.. please…
March 21, 2010 at 9:56 pm
dems don’t want to let the republicans have the floor to speak about the vote and what they’re voting on so they were being rude and interrupting and yelling.
March 21, 2010 at 9:57 pm
Well, this is their own rule, right? it’s a rule that Rahm set up when they were the minority. They are having their moment of glory… can’t they give a little tiny sop to the R’s… not even a crumb?
March 21, 2010 at 9:59 pm
What’s happening now?
March 21, 2010 at 9:59 pm
Nope. They don’t want the conscience of those who supposedly support “Pro-Life” to stand up and voice their opinion.
March 21, 2010 at 9:54 pm

March 21, 2010 at 9:55 pm

March 21, 2010 at 9:55 pm
Oh Thus be it ever
When free men shall stand
Between their loved home
And the war’s desolation
Blessed with victory and peace
May the heaven rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made
And preserved us a nation
Then triumph we must
For our cause it is just
And this be our motto
In God is our trust
And the Star Spangled Banner
In triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free
And the home of the brave
No surrender!
March 21, 2010 at 9:56 pm
They are talking about the Exectutive Order and how little it means. Asking to reinstate the Pro-Life provisions…they are all going to have to vote on that Stupek amendment.
March 21, 2010 at 9:57 pm
Oh, “THE WHON” is on his way to the mic.
March 21, 2010 at 9:59 pm
What about the motion to recommit? Can The Own talk before the motion is done?
March 21, 2010 at 10:02 pm
I don’t think so…???
March 21, 2010 at 9:59 pm
Schtupak is getting his chance to speak on the floor.
March 21, 2010 at 9:59 pm
STUP[ID]AK IS SPEAKING…. :O

March 21, 2010 at 10:11 pm
I’ll help snark snark!!
March 21, 2010 at 10:02 pm
I will SO not be listening to Obama gloat. All the Independents in this country should totally be ashamed of themselves for believing anything he ever promised them. Just a couple of months ago, he said he was going to put jobs in the forefront and indicated that health care would be re-looked at (since Scott Brown)…and what did he do? Full force on making Health Care even WORSE for us all.
I’m sick. I’m calling Paul Ryan’s Office, Michele Bachmann’s office and any others I can through to and thanking them and begging them to fix this!!! Do something! Give me some direction as to what I can do!!!
March 21, 2010 at 10:05 pm
I’ll watch the video of Sarah’s interview with O’Reilly instead.
March 21, 2010 at 10:07 pm
benishekforcongress on FB…will make you feel better
March 21, 2010 at 10:02 pm
If he thinks what he’s saying is going to be persuasive, he really is Schtupid …
March 21, 2010 at 10:02 pm
I think he’s trying to justify his “change of heart”.
March 21, 2010 at 10:08 pm
He lied through his freaking teeth through the whole thing.
There are no prolife democrats anymore. They’re extinct. Some just use the rhetoric to get votes.
March 21, 2010 at 10:03 pm
Benishek has a google bomb going…over 24,000 hits.
March 21, 2010 at 10:12 pm
what’s a google bomb?
March 21, 2010 at 10:04 pm
I can’t donate to Benishek tonight, but I’m sending money to Djou in Hawaii (special election in May) and Bachmann and whatever else I can afford.
March 21, 2010 at 10:06 pm
his website will be up online tommorow.
March 21, 2010 at 10:08 pm
it’s up…they won’t have paypal until tomorrow. He has a google bomb going of 24,000+
March 21, 2010 at 10:05 pm
Voting on the Motion to Recommit…they tried to do it by round of applause…not really, but basically it was who could yell louder. But they ordered a recorded vote which is now happening. 15 minutes…we won’t get this either but it will be a recorded vote and have the effect that it was meant to…being used against all of them who voted FOR the Stupek amendment in Nov but won’t vote it for it now, will look like fools.
March 21, 2010 at 10:05 pm
Was it Nancy Pelosi Or Liza Minnelli….
I flipped out when she stared thanking her supporting cast.
She thought she was at the Oscars. I was waiting for the Award.
And she kept going oommm, oommm mm, oomm.
She looks like Janene Garapolo’s mother in drag. LOL
March 21, 2010 at 10:05 pm
here my 2 cents with Stupack.
I’m pro-choice, I respect either side.
And at least I respected Stupack for standing for principle.
What pisses me off is that Stupack lied, he’s on record that he would vote for this POS, and played a media-whore…
its the fking deceit that pisses me off.
March 21, 2010 at 10:15 pm
exactly how I feel. “Principle” and “Honor” matter! This rat just does not have any of either.
Every flippin time I think that a man or woman of character will stand on principle then end up to be big fibbers. ugh ugh ugh.
March 22, 2010 at 5:09 am
that is the precise reason why you should be upset. It is the deceit. Always keep that in mind.
It is the deceit that will bring down Dr. Utopia. He has been a deceiver from the beginning. It is sufficient to get him impeached.
March 21, 2010 at 10:05 pm
They HAVE TO vote on the order to recommit right? I mean, they can’t just ignore it, right? They are going to HAVE TO go on the record as either wanting federal funds for abortions or not…. and if very many of them vote to NOT, then it kills the “fix” bill right?
March 21, 2010 at 10:06 pm
What is the result of the recommit vote?
March 21, 2010 at 10:07 pm
They are voting on the order to recommit right now.
March 21, 2010 at 10:07 pm
A verbal vote this time?
March 21, 2010 at 10:09 pm
I think so…I’m just confused at this point since all the political-ese doesn’t make sense.
March 21, 2010 at 10:10 pm
I think a verbal vote is where they call out each one’s name and they call out their vote…
March 21, 2010 at 10:08 pm
Is it the actual original Stupak amendment? Nothing else added to it? Anybody know?
March 21, 2010 at 10:07 pm
No, of course not.
March 21, 2010 at 10:09 pm
Of course not.. what? I’m not watching… I’m in my room on my computer while my 86 year old mom is next door sleeping… LOL.
March 21, 2010 at 10:09 pm
Of course no verbal vote.
March 21, 2010 at 10:13 pm
Oh, so they’re just showing the tabulation and not calling them out individually. I would’ve like to have them have to say it out loud in front of their constituency.
March 21, 2010 at 10:08 pm
What will happen is that the jokers who voted FOR the Stupek amend in Nov will be forced to vote against it now (or else risk killing the bill)…and so they are in a no win. If they vote yes for the amend, it kills the bill and when they vote NO, it will be used as ammunition this Nov when we will have it on record that they are flip-floppers.
March 21, 2010 at 10:12 pm
KILL THE BILL!
these assholes are gone either way.
Never did I think I would this pissed off against my own party who I have been a lifelong member of.
March 21, 2010 at 10:10 pm
We need to support the Dems who voted against the health care bill. A centrist Democratic party needs to be in power(the Pelosi/Reid/Obamacrats have to go)-we need a two party system. In 2010, we will work to defeat everyone who voted for that garbage. In 2012, we need to work to defeat Obama. Not only by selecting a Republican who can defeat him, but by also attacking the Democratic primary and finding a person who can defeat him. Folks, we have to think outside of the box.
God bless all of you and God Bless America.
March 21, 2010 at 10:12 pm
But… if they voted “yes” the first time, and only voted “no” to avoid a reelection problem, I’d be cautious… you’re only going to have the same problem later on… I’m sorry, but I don’t trust ANY dems right now…
March 21, 2010 at 10:14 pm
Yeah, I’d be happy to support a Dem who is truly a non-socialist, but I can’t think of a one that isn’t allowing this to happen to our country. Sorry, I voted for Bill Clinton the second time…that was the last Dem I will have ever voted for…even in local gov’t. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
March 22, 2010 at 5:10 am
what about Marion Berry. She did not change her stance.
March 21, 2010 at 10:26 pm
True-but their are some who did not vote that way. Just remember, those Dems who voted no both times stood up to Obama and we need people like that. These are the folks that we build a new Dem party with. We have to come at Obama from every direction. We have to make sure that he cannot count on anything or anyone.
March 21, 2010 at 10:55 pm
We should try to compile those names and show our continued support.
March 21, 2010 at 10:42 pm
You are right on (as usual). Any Dem who voted “no” cannot be automatically trusted. The Party had this all calculated based on re-election risk. So, they allowed some to vote “no” once they knew they had the votes. And they made those decisions very strategically so certain Dems could claim they voted “no.”
March 22, 2010 at 5:11 am
there are some who voted No but they are on the far left. They want the whole single payer thing.
March 21, 2010 at 10:12 pm
Sorry, not supporting any dems anytime in the next century.
They can twist in the wind.
See Stupak for reference.
March 21, 2010 at 10:13 pm
No Dem voted against this POS.
March 21, 2010 at 10:21 pm
There are no moderate dems in Congress. Take a look at what happened in the Senate. Any dems in the House voting no may well have received permission from Pelosi. Given this power grab, THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED!
March 21, 2010 at 10:33 pm
You also have to consider votes on the stimulus bill, cap and trade, and the omnibus budgets. That pretty much eliminates them all, unless you can think of someone I am missing.
March 22, 2010 at 3:18 am
Nope — only if they switch parties. As long as they are part of the un-democratic party, they cannot be trusted.
March 21, 2010 at 10:12 pm
Stupak voting against Stupak.
Bye, bye, Bart
March 21, 2010 at 10:14 pm
Really? He voted “no” on his own amendment? My GOSH he’s even worse than I thought he was….
March 21, 2010 at 10:45 pm
I saw Stupak lie as well as The One.
It was disgusting.
March 21, 2010 at 10:15 pm
I would seriously be worried for my safety if I were him. I’m not condoning violence but geesh, he is going to be feeling some serious wrath.
March 21, 2010 at 10:18 pm
I’m wondering about all of these guys when they go home on Easter break. I mean… do you think they have body guards? There are always some nuts out there with guns… and right now these votes just put the torch to the powder-keg and it’s ready to explode…
March 21, 2010 at 10:21 pm
Oh he is soooo gone. All the Democrats are going to get dumped.
You guys are all depressed and I’m thrilled beyond belief. The Democrats just committed suicide right before your eyes. PIGLOSI…roast her on the fire boyz…she’s done. In November she will no longer be speaker…she will either retire or get the basement office again. DONE…
March 21, 2010 at 10:25 pm
Thanks Bev…you’re right…but I just hate losing. It’s in my DNA to be a winner. But you’re right…we should be rejoicing that the Dems just killed themselves. I just worry that the drones out there only look at who was in the “win” column and vote accordingly.
March 21, 2010 at 10:39 pm
Bev, I am there with you. This is the day of the “Death of Liberlaism” Bank on it.
March 21, 2010 at 10:52 pm
Bev: I so hope you’re right and the Dems have just fallen on their swords.
This is my best case scenario: the Dems lose BIG in November. The now GOP controlled Congress calls for repeal and reform and comes up with a much more sensible plan crafted by people like Paul Ryan. Obama, of course, vetoes it, thus making healthcare a major issue in 2012. Despite the drooling and fawning of the MSM, the American people fail to fall in love with Obamacare – in fact, even more turn against it as taxes go up and the economy worsens. Obama gets the boot in 2012 and the first act of the next president is to sign into a law a bill repealing bambicare and replacing it with something much more workable.
Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Stupak and all the other jackasses suffer the well-deserved agony of seeing their “huge accomplishment” turned to dust and ashes.
IT CAN HAPPEN, PEOPLE! If we commit to it and don’t give up the fight. The donks think we have the attention span of gnats and believe we’ll all become too demoralized and sheeplike to fight them. Let’s prove them wrong!
March 21, 2010 at 11:18 pm
People will be furious with Obamacare if it ever really happens, and I have my doubts, a lot of stuff can be delayed forever with lots of bizarre procedures no one has ever heard of. But if it happens, healthcare is going to be so crappy people will be enraged!!!People are going to HATE the democrats. Even the dopey obot kids. They’ll have crappy health care and no jobs. Change indeed.
March 21, 2010 at 10:12 pm
When this Health care party is over and the dust settles– their will no doubt be criminal language in this “BILL! It was to easy and a whole lot of cover-up and money granted straight from “the stimulus” into bank account’s..” I bet you dollar’s to donut’s,,,it not over peeps– the fight is on..” This is the most “corrupt bastards” to ever hold office in the history of this country”
March 21, 2010 at 10:22 pm
When the American People truly find out what is REALLY INSIDE this monstrosity, there will be a huge cry throughout the land.
March 21, 2010 at 10:22 pm
There will lawsuits for the next three years over this bill. They will be so held up on this thing….most of it will be repealed or ammended and then DONE. We get BO out of there in 2012 and then we won’t have to worry about the DEM-O-WADS for another 30 years.
March 22, 2010 at 5:18 am
Can I suggest that you do a Google on the Reconstruction period.
Trust me, you will find the information very interesting. Think in terms of the critters who were in charge of those state parliaments during that period. Think about their power during that period… and what happened when the KuKluxKlan came after them…. not saying that the KKK will ride again. I am talking about the graft and corruption.
I have no doubt that this Administration and Congress (majority party) is the most corrupt ever but I do think you should read up on what happened during the Reconstruction period.
March 21, 2010 at 10:14 pm
Stupak just dissed by Susan B Anthony awards for Pro-Life supporters. Award rescinded.
March 21, 2010 at 10:14 pm
I wonder whether this executive order will ever actually be issued at all.
March 22, 2010 at 5:19 am
Of course it will not be issued. It was a ruse.
Stupak accepted a bribe.
March 22, 2010 at 7:13 am
I think he will get the executive order. Why not? It doesn’t mean anything anyway, so why wouldn’t they give it to him?
March 21, 2010 at 10:14 pm
Are ANY dems voting yes on the recommit amendment?
March 21, 2010 at 10:16 pm
So far 20, it won’t be much more than that in any case.
March 21, 2010 at 10:16 pm
About the same number as voted for the senate bill? COWARDS!!! No personal morals at all!
March 21, 2010 at 10:23 pm
They are voting on reconciliation now.
March 21, 2010 at 10:16 pm
20 dems are yes now with 1 min left.
March 21, 2010 at 10:17 pm
Yes, 20.
March 21, 2010 at 10:19 pm
yes 21 dems voted with 178 republicans on the recommit motion.
Final 199 to 232
Recommit fails.
March 21, 2010 at 10:22 pm
Even less voted with the R’s on this than voted with them on the senate bill then… 232 against this; 219 on the senate bill.
March 21, 2010 at 10:26 pm
correct. Some dems looked to be “hiding” their vote once the 216 was secured. They voted “no” because they could. Pelosi must have given some permission to save their seat at home.
March 21, 2010 at 10:14 pm
Doc’s FB page just broke 9,000.
March 21, 2010 at 10:17 pm
Ain’t it great? I am so enlightened reading all the comments there…it’s like we’re all united.
March 21, 2010 at 10:26 pm
I know. It help’s to ease the frustration that I’m feeling today.

March 21, 2010 at 10:15 pm
There are millions of people in the United States who do not agree with abortion. People of varying faiths in this country, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Mormons etc. are opposed on religious grounds to abortion. There are some American’s who are non-religious who are also opposed to on demand abortion other then when it threatens the life of the mother. For them it is not so much a religious issue but it is a moral one. And even those who have no problem with abortion have had a problem with tax payer dollars funding it. Now all American’s regardless of religious values or objection of conscience will be forced to participate in the taking of countless lives with their tax dollar with the Healthcare “reform”.
Can you imagine …your tax dollar paying for a woman’s abortion. Its like laying her on the abortion table and forcing me and you to give $50 out of our pocket to the doctor before he starts the abortion procedure .
How can the federal government ( and a set of temporary politicians) FORCE me to partake in a practice I personally consider a sin (murder) and the taking of a life ! Does the Federal government have the power and the right to force me to financially support that which I oppose based on faith or moral objection ?
There is a lack of respect for life wrapped up in this, that is why the elderly and infirm need to worry about a Government run healthcare system. Rationing will hit them the hardest. Let’s make a 500 billion dollar cut in Medicare and cause seniors to lose some benefits and in turn use some of that money to fund abortion. Swell. Apalling.
This Bill contains government funded abortion and it will be the law of the land despite any last minute smoke and mirror promises and tweak to the language.
All that said, Bart Stupak is one cheap date. He held out for a worthless, non-bonding executive order even though they cannot be used to amend laws and some floor time to wax poetic on the sanctity of life.
Just how worthless is the executive order? Even the most adamant pro-choice members of the House are shrugging it off publicly. They are probably laughing themselves to tears privately.
Can someone give Mr. Stupack a bowl of water to wash the blood of the innocents off his hands? Neither he nor any member of Congress believes one word of explanation.
The scariest part about the whole vote today is that the Democrats have ignored all polling and peaceful protests from constituents in order to (most assuredly) pass ObamaCare anyway. Its passage is going to lead an awful lot of people to think peaceful protest is pointless. I am no conspiracy theorist–we are not on the verge of armed rebellion. But for wont of a charismatic leader urging one, there but for the grace of God.

March 21, 2010 at 10:24 pm
Well, I’m going to bed. It’s over now. Goodnight all. Goodnight America. Tomorrow opens up a new day… the first day of the war against the socialist takeover of America.
March 21, 2010 at 11:05 pm
Only one battle in a greater war. Stay strong in memory of the greatest patriot, General George Washington.
March 21, 2010 at 11:21 pm
We’ve survived far worse than this silly Obama. Have faith. More citizens will be energized than ever before. America is an exceptional extraordinary country and this little twerp is just gonna be a nothing at the end of the day.
March 21, 2010 at 10:26 pm
What is this reconcilliation bill and why are more dems voting against it along with Republicans?
March 21, 2010 at 10:28 pm
The reconcilliation bill is the house “fix” bill to the senate bill. The reconciliation bill is the one they will push through the senate with 51 votes.
The reconcilliation bill is the bill the house has constructed to shape the senate bill to their liking.
March 21, 2010 at 10:33 pm
Ah, and I assume the senate has the 51 votes or they wouldn’t be so happy (sorry allergy drugs)
March 21, 2010 at 10:39 pm
esther, there will be no reconcilation, the repubs will stop any alteration to the senate bill
March 21, 2010 at 10:39 pm
Because they are about to SCREW the house democrats and it will be funny as hell.
March 21, 2010 at 10:27 pm
On Drudge site: At the very top you can join to repeal this crap. The picture of dear leader pretty much sums it up. Join. I did.
If you weren’t sick enough. The press just asked what ozero was doing while this charade was happening this evening. Gibbs response “just watching college b-ball” What an arrogant SOB.
March 21, 2010 at 10:28 pm
they really have no clue how much more angry Americans are getting when they announce shit like that.
March 21, 2010 at 10:29 pm
Clueless and Arrogant!
March 21, 2010 at 10:37 pm
Yeah…The British played cards while George Washington crossed the Delaware……
March 21, 2010 at 10:38 pm
I think they do. I have come to the conclusion that they love to antagonize us. Alinsky style.
We have to learn to ignore it as it is a huge energy waster.
This is our first test. Forget about it! :)
March 21, 2010 at 10:42 pm
you’re right, feet up on desk, shirt unbuttoned, sleeves rolled up, empty pizza boxes on the couch, waiting for someone to say lets go put your face on TV to gloat. Ugh
March 21, 2010 at 10:44 pm
You are so correct. This is a big disappointment but we must keep our eyes on the prize and that is fighting this bill -however and whenever we can. This means supporting and voting for people who will do the will of the people come November. It means supporting those who are challenging the constitutionality of this this bill. It’s okay to be angry but we need to channel that energy into constructive action.
March 21, 2010 at 10:27 pm

Thank you both for all the work you’ve done so far. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work again tomorrow!
By the way I think the Michigan State Troopers are a big supporter of Stupak since he was one before running for congress.

The blogs have begun….

March 21, 2010 at 10:40 pm
Hillbuzz, my respect for you guys just grows and grows. I just donated $20 to Benishek (all I can spare right now)but I plan to pony up more in the future.
I see Benishek is Czech on his dad’s side and Polish on his mother’s. That being my precise ethnic ancestry, I’m sure he’s gotta be a good guy. :-) Although I’d donate money to Mr. Ed if he ran against that Judas Stupak.
That lying POS Stupak sold out for improvements and maintenance for 3 crappy little UP airports. What a cheap date. Mary “I’m an expensive whore” Landrieu must be laughing her butt off.
March 21, 2010 at 10:43 pm
I knew the vote was goin’ to go through the way it did but it still sucks. Having no choice about your healthcare is what I’m used to right now with Tricare… don’t recommend it unless you want no medical solutions to chronic problems like depression and migraine headaches. It’s so sad that the people who voted for this bill couldn’t even either a) read it b) think it through c) represent their constituents or d) all of the above.
How are you guys handling it? I mean, this has been the worst 2 year period of my life what with personal and professional setbacks and then the dissolution of our republic. It all just keeps comin’ and comin’ without end.
I think I’m going to have a drink. Are you guys in?
March 21, 2010 at 10:57 pm
Oh yeah, I poured myself a stiff one. Just watching CSpan for 10 minutes made me want to drain a bottle – but it’s Sunday night and those of us who have work to pay for this load of crap have to get up tomorrow morning.
Have a drink – or 2 or 3 tonight – and then get up tomorrow resolved to keep on fighting this POS bill and the jokers in office.
March 21, 2010 at 11:02 pm
Done!
March 22, 2010 at 6:54 am
Yeah Emjem I know all about Tri care too.Don’t even try to get Tri care to look at an injured knee. They just tell you to take ibuprofen because they don’t believe that you need an MRI.Oh and forget about tumors too.A friend of mine fought with tri care for nearly 7 months while the tumor in her belly grew until she looked 6 months pregnant.Hope the Obots enjoy the nonexistant health care they will be recieving.

March 21, 2010 at 11:18 pm
I will have a glass of wine instead:)
March 21, 2010 at 10:51 pm
Okay, one cool thing…I have a friend from my old job who is on FB…he posted a sort of middle-of-the-road comment about the Health Care bill and everyone has replied with disgust. In doing so, he and I started chatting and I started providing him all this info and he is interested!
The best part…his brother (who is gay) is also one of my friends and I’m hoping to guide them towards Hillbuzz. Honestly, you guys have the best ideas for working people. We can’t pick up and leave, but we can sure make phone calls, write letters and sign petitions. This is a great place for that.
And maybe I would be able to turn ONE of my gay friends to the light instead of the dark side. LOL
March 21, 2010 at 10:52 pm
Ok, guys, Washington lost every battle til he finally won the war. Here’s an idea my husband and I came up with. There are 32-38 states fighting this healthcare horror, so why don’t we bombard our state reps and governors to get together for a constitutional convention? It’s never been done, (yay! HISTORIC and UNPRECEDENTED!)but it is in the constitution that one way to amend the constitution is for 3/4 of the states to ratify the amendment(s).
Some of the things I would like to see is to, first of all, make this takeover illegal and to allow the states to enact what they feel is best.
Another is to make it so that when we have a foreign terrorist group target our country, they are considered enemy combatants and tried in a military tribunal. That would calm down the people who are opposed to this on Constitutional grounds. There actually isn’t anything in the Constitution (besides a Mark of Reprisal) that addresses this issue.
Another is for the states to be exempt from the EPA unless they ask for help.
The Fed. should have to give back all the land they have taken and not be allowed to take any more without the consent of the people in the state, itself. This includes the waterways.
There will never be a national identity card.
Last of all, NO group, congress, politician, etc has any right to give away the Sovereignty of the USA and that our Constitution supercedes any treaties, agreements, etc.
March 21, 2010 at 11:09 pm
You two are a good team! I’m listening.
March 21, 2010 at 11:13 pm
No, a Constitutional convention opens the entire constitution up for change. Very risky.
March 21, 2010 at 11:23 pm
I think the court systems are riskier.
March 23, 2010 at 1:36 pm
If you are interested, will you join my fb page? It is listed under the same name as this.

I tried calling – it wouldn’t ring through. I wonder if that means they’re swamped. I’d call the For # to see if it rings, but I don’t want to give away that vote.
March 21, 2010 at 10:58 pm
The against line is all busy signals…lol.
March 21, 2010 at 11:05 pm
I’ve tried calling about 20 times and it’s still busy. I’m sooo tempted to call the others, just to see if I could get through…but I won’t!!
March 21, 2010 at 11:14 pm
Jessica, call all of them, and if you get thru on the one that supports it, say, I tried getting thru on the against it, but so many people are against this chit, you had to try the other option.
rules no longer apply with these idiots.
March 21, 2010 at 10:55 pm
Good comment from an AT piece:
“I have turned my flag upside down and it shall remain this way until the Marxists are out of power.”
(I think it would be more appropos to have one’s flag at half mast myself.)
March 21, 2010 at 10:57 pm
I agree, upside down is disrespectful to the country. Half mast is a sign of mourning I think…?
March 21, 2010 at 10:59 pm
Exactly. Upsidedown is what lefties used to do in the ’70′s as a sign of disrespect.

Upside down is not at all disrespectful — it is a cry of distress and a well-established, recognized part of the language of our flag.
And, baby, we are IN DISTRESS.
March 21, 2010 at 10:59 pm
Flying the flag upside down is a sign of distress, not a sign of disrespect.
March 22, 2010 at 4:59 am
You’re right..flying the flag upside down is a sign of distress.
Flying it in that manner is not a sign of disrespect at all.
We are in a state of distress right now.
March 21, 2010 at 11:10 pm
Half mast is indeed for mourning and half-mast it is.
March 21, 2010 at 10:58 pm
Benishek just hit 10,000 on FB and the Google bomb appears to be working fabulously!
March 21, 2010 at 11:02 pm
YES!!! THE RESISTANCE IS GROWING!!!! :D :D He certainly wasn’t expecting *this* reaction!!!
March 21, 2010 at 11:03 pm
I’m trying to learn about this guy. Here’s a short article I found about him. Apparently he’s a surgeon and only just announced his candidacy this past Monday, which explains why his on line site isn’t exactly up and running in an impressive way.
http://www.ironmountaindailynews.com/page/content.detail/id/514588.html?nav=5002
March 21, 2010 at 11:05 pm
Well, it is now.
March 21, 2010 at 11:06 pm
Cool, one of his grandchildren has the same name as me…and it’s spelled right too.
March 22, 2010 at 11:19 am
Is anyone looking at Linda Goldenthorpe http://www.lindaforcongress.com as an alternative to Benishek? She seems to be very “Tea Party” like in her opinions. Obviously, Bart the Judas Baby Killer has to go regardless of which candidate whoops his arse.
March 22, 2010 at 7:03 pm
she has ties to Ron Paul… not necessarily the best candidate.
Being tied to “tea party” can be confusing for various reasons.
March 21, 2010 at 11:30 pm
it’s over 9000?
March 21, 2010 at 11:06 pm
Here’s a video of Benishek announcing his candidacy:
March 21, 2010 at 11:07 pm
HB you should be over on Benishek advertising your site. I am discovering so many conservative sites it’s not even funny…everybody is on there…it’s mayhem.
March 21, 2010 at 11:12 pm
I have seen at least 10 posts referring back to Hillbuzz…
March 21, 2010 at 11:07 pm
WE MUST target IL congresswomen Melissa Bean and Deb Halvarson. Both YES votes.
March 21, 2010 at 11:12 pm
I say target them all; I don’t care HOW they voted. They didn’t stand up and fight against it, they are not worthy to hold a seat in OUR House.
March 21, 2010 at 11:22 pm
Yes, and remember that whether they voted “yes” or “no,” not a single Dem had the courage to speak out and say that the entire process had become wrong, anti-American, throwing our Constitution in the garbage. That is just as big, if not bigger, than the legislation itself. But, they were all willing to go along with the travesty. Shame on them all!
March 21, 2010 at 11:33 pm
You are right. Plus we do’nt know the “hidden” votes. You know, the yes’s that actually voted “no” only because they had the number of yes’s they needed and gave permission to some members to vote “no” just to try and save their position in election.
I just don’t trust any Democrat in this, I don’t care how they voted. Blue dogs, liberals, they all need to go. No-one stood up to Pelosi and voiced dissent.
March 21, 2010 at 11:50 pm
Yes. You are right. EVERY DAMN DEM EVERY STATE.
March 22, 2010 at 12:02 am
Bean is a coward. She refused to have any townhalls last summer and pretended to be one of the “undecideds” until today. She send a weasly email on how excited she was to vote for it.
She must go.
March 22, 2010 at 5:02 am
Why don’t you gather all of the unhappy people you can and protest in front of her district office?
March 21, 2010 at 11:08 pm
Guys!!!!
TX Atty General Greg Abbott just commented on Facebook:
“Just got off the AG conference call. We agreed that a multi-state lawsuit would send the strongest signal. We plan to file the moment Obama signs the bill. I anticipate him signing it tomorrow. Check back for an update at that time. I will post a link to the lawsuit when it is filed. It will lay out why the bill i…s unconstitutional and tramples individual and states rights.”
This war has only just begun!!! Get ready!!!
March 21, 2010 at 11:17 pm
I want to get updates on this so I signed up as a fan on his FB page. I need to write to Bill McCullom our FL AG…he was planning something too and I assume was on the call.
March 21, 2010 at 11:23 pm
OUTSTANDING! I was hoping the states would get all grouped together to make a powerful unified statement.
March 21, 2010 at 11:33 pm
Awesome!
March 22, 2010 at 5:34 am
read this blog entry:
http://charlesrowley.wordpress.com/2010/03/22/liberty-dies-in-the-united-states-of-america/
Dr. Rowley has been consistent in his opposition to Abominablecare. He is an economist from George Mason. He is also at the Locke Institute (kinda like the director). He is an English gentleman who migrated to USA in 1983 when he decided he had to leave England – and escape their crap care system.

Here’s a strong statement from Chuck DeVore:

Thanks for sharing that. That is one candidate we must all get behind. Boxer needs to be booted out of office this fall.

March 21, 2010 at 11:12 pm
I think something bad went down behind the scenes with Stupak. I don’t know how you guys can be energized. I feel icky.
March 21, 2010 at 11:18 pm
He received over $700,000 for two airports in Northern Michigan on 3/19. Coincidence? I think not.
Just donated $25 to his opponent though…
March 21, 2010 at 11:25 pm
It’s not a comfortable feeling, is it? Did you notice that he got some “airport help” with an announcement he made on the 19th of March? His price was, what 700k or was it 700 million?
After that whole sad sack display of a speech, I just wanted to slap him upside the head. In the famous words of my father, “what a putz!”
March 22, 2010 at 5:39 am
Stupak got his thirty pieces of silver… $700,000 for an airport
March 21, 2010 at 11:13 pm
Waiting to see the Rasmussen/Pew/PPP polls after this vote.
March 21, 2010 at 11:24 pm
That guy who currently lives in the White House has seen his poll numbers drop as this health care sham became more of a reality over the last few days. And I still can’t get through to express my disgust on CSPAN. I’m thinking the polls will be very very interesting.
March 21, 2010 at 11:37 pm
You reminded me of something. The WH is a rental. Did anyone else read Roves new book about how the Dems trashed the WH before Bush moved his team in? Rove describes the grafitti, holes punched in walls, letter “w” removed from all keyboards, all phones trashed and moved around. It took weeks to repair after Clinton team left.
March 21, 2010 at 11:59 pm
Don’t be surprised if there is an initial uptick. It will take a few days for people to realize the don’t actually have healthcare or that those with pre-existing conditions have to actually buy the insurance.
This program was so over sold the backlash by summer should be interesting.
March 22, 2010 at 12:29 am
When many seniors realize that Medicare is going to be drastically cut – and thus nursing homes, hospices, hospitals, etc are going to go bare-bones-, there will be hell to pay…
March 22, 2010 at 5:03 am
Believe me…we understand the ramifications of this bill.
It sucks…in spades!

GOP has a moneybomb starting to boot Pelosi.
I’ve not donated to them in forever, but I did tonight.
March 21, 2010 at 11:36 pm
Me too! And did you see the map with the states and the top 10 in donations so far? California (Pelosi’s state) and IL (U’s state) are in the top 10!
March 21, 2010 at 11:45 pm
LOL! Yeah, I saw that. Not everyone loves that woman there…
118k so far.
March 21, 2010 at 11:55 pm
Not going to send money until I know who they’re pushing as her replacement.
March 22, 2010 at 1:28 am
Check out John Dennis. He’s running against pelosi
March 22, 2010 at 4:03 am
Sending checks to him and to Benishek today.
March 22, 2010 at 3:31 am
I got that too. But I responded back that I would be contributing to individual candidates who put the country and their consituents before the party. Instead of gathering $$$ and distributing it as the GOP sees fit, they should be gathering information to allow us all to make better decisions about where to send our money and how to vote.
March 21, 2010 at 11:27 pm
Wanted to puke when I heard the Dems chanted “Yes we can” after the vote. I think this needs to be turned back on all of them (Dr. U included) and shoved down their throats.
For the Dems
Yes we can….. bankrupt this country
Yes we can….. do as we please regardless of what the country wants
Yes we can….. tax you into oblivion.
For the fight:
Yes we can – kick you out of office
Yes we can – repeal this sham of a bill
Yes we can – take back our country
Yes we can – make each Democrat that voted for this bill wake up in cold sweats every night.
March 21, 2010 at 11:31 pm
What a bunch of children. Can you imagine doing such a thing following a victory (albeit a phyrric one)? Maybe if you’re 12, but as an adult. Idiots one and all.
March 21, 2010 at 11:31 pm
Just to stir things up a bit ;)
I signed on to some dems emails and received this one:
I just left the Capitol building in Washington and I wanted to make sure you heard the news.
With my yes vote, the healthcare reform bill passed the House this evening!
Earlier today I wrote to let you know about the tough fight we have this year in Colorado’s fourth district. Today, during debate over healthcare, the opponents of the bill tried to instill fear into the American public with confusing rhetoric. They plan on bringing that same rhetoric into our district.
I need each of you to stand with me in 2010 and beyond to make sure I can continue fighting for the ideals and issues that are important to Colorado families.
I am happy that I could share this moment with you. Thank you again for all of your support.

I just posted on FL’s AG’s FB page (Bill McCollum) telling him I hope he was on that AG call tonight and that he will be part of the state’s lawsuits on behalf of WE THE PEOPLE. Some guy I don’t know gave me a “like” comment too. I’m going to try and find a phone number to call tomorrow to be sure he is part of this.

That’s because the liberal trolls aren’t there yet. Just wait, it will happen when they wake up tomorrow at noon and make it downstairs into the basement.

March 21, 2010 at 11:55 pm
This was like watching a cross between a B-grade movie and a really distressing futuristic horror movie about America.
It’s quite something at the 3:50 mark when after a few minor disruptions, the speaker says “Both sides would do well to respect the dignity of this house.” This after Boehner so rightfully pointed out that the American people have lost their respect in the insitution.
And at 5:15 when Boehner repeatedly asks for a call of the roll so Americans could hear how each person voted. And his request is ignored and ignored and ignored until finally he receives a snide response.
It’s all quite unsettling.
March 22, 2010 at 12:12 am
Wow. Apparently they think it is quite the funny joke.
On us.
March 22, 2010 at 12:19 am
Yes, I watched that earlier on television. Boehner gave a passionate speech and then to be ignored and taunted. It’s too much. Until quite recently I was still a registered democrat. I finally changed to republican. It’s felt strange but after tonight I’m so glad I no longer have to feel ashamed of saying what “political party” I belong to.
March 21, 2010 at 11:55 pm
Just made donation to Benishek and sent a copy of PayPal contribution to Kaputs.

Great idea. I’m on it. Never thought about forwarding to Kaputs. Brilliant!
March 22, 2010 at 12:00 am
Some fine writing by Michelle Malkin:
President Obama actually said this in reaction to passage of the Demcare monstrosity: It’s “another stone laid in the foundation of the American dream.” And this: “This is what change looks like.” Never mind that the “changes” don’t start until 2014 — but the tax hikes and pain start now. No, Election Day 2010 is what change will look like. Remember in November.
It. Just. Got. Sicker. 12:08am Eastern. Pelosi is holding her victory speech. Gloating about the 220 votes she whipped up, she joked: “No money changed hands, of course.” Mark those words.
Update 12:20am Eastern: Delusional Democrat Sandy Levin: “We spread the American wings of opportunity and community.” Louise Slaughter: “There is nothing now that we can’t tackle.” Shudder. Corruptocrat Dems can cackle now. They will eat crow later.
March 22, 2010 at 12:12 am
They are going home to their constituents, hope our side shows up everywhere to give reality checks.
As a matter of fact, that should be a Hillbuzz pledge, see Congress at their home offices!
March 22, 2010 at 2:44 am
not just their office. any time they show their face in public. Nelson got off easy with being driven from a pizza parlor. Hound them. No doubt the cowards will call the police but there is no law against yelling things at them as they are not on their own private property. The cowards will try to intimidate us. Not going to happen

This is another stone hung around the neck of the American dream in order to drown it.

Might be worth the fight??
March 22, 2010 at 12:24 am
Very interesting. The GOP should get on this. It would take a concerted effort to gather signatures and such. But perhaps worth it in targeted places. With elections coming up in November, they need to be careful about their resources and where and how best to spend them I would think.
March 22, 2010 at 12:16 am
I am so afraid right now. What is going on? How can we get control back? Someone please wake me up and tell me this is all a bad dream!

Check out Pam Geller’s site or read my comment #216 for a bit of hope.
Hang in there. We’re all reeling.
March 22, 2010 at 2:12 am
Where?
March 22, 2010 at 1:15 am
Listen to me. This is not over by a long shot.
The States have now been placed in a very perilous situation, not to mention the people. (How does having 15000 IRS agents going after your bank accounts sound to you?) They will now face bankruptcy with Obamacare, and they are not going to take it lying down. Neither should we.
Expect a multi-state Federal lawsuit against Obamacare very soon. I hope it happens as soon as the Presidential ink is dry. It could well be 37 or 38 states fighting back against this in court.
These states can also call a Constitutional Convention to repeal this monstrosity or have their State legislatures repeal it under Article V of the U.S. Constitution. Either way, the States are going to fight back, and We the People are going to support every measure possible to make sure this is stricken off the books for good.
Not to mention, there will be HELL TO PAY for the Democrats. We want them out of power, out of donors, and out of here!
Dems out in 11/10, Obama gone in 11/12. Sounds like a Plan.
We have not yet begun to fight!
March 22, 2010 at 12:18 am
We need to ensure that any Democrat Senators who might be worried about their next election find out about America’s quick support for Dr. B. Just so they know.
March 22, 2010 at 12:23 am
Yes and read article I refer to above!
March 22, 2010 at 12:20 am
Pam Geller has an interesting piece up right now. Here’s a rather long excerpt. I’m still ramping up the learning curve on how all this works, but it sounds from what she’s written like there’s some tiny shred of hope, but I’m not sure. It’s late and I’m really really tired:
Senate Republicans say they can get the whole package of reconciliation fixes – the fix-its that make the Senate plan palatable to House Democrats – thrown out with a trump card procedural motion. And they say Democrats are slow-walking a decision from the parliamentarian until the House passes the Senate bill.
That means the Senate bill, which everyone in the House seems to universally hate, will be the law of the land.
This afternoon Senate Republicans say Democrats won’t meet with them and the parliamentarian – a charge Democratic staffers call “absurd”. (The timing of the allegation also works as a last-minute, probably too-late message to wavering House Democrats).
Bottom line: Don’t expect the health reform debate to end tonight even though the health reform bill will become law as soon as Obama signs the Senate bill.
Should the House pass the Senate bill and the package of reconciliation fix-its tonight, Senators will take over the reconciliation fix-its as soon as Tuesday.
That will set in motion a week or longer parliamentary floor battle with points of order, references to the budget act, the Byrd Rule and more.
For an appetizer, take a look at Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Judd Gregg’s statement tonight.
“Immediately after receiving the final reconciliation bill language, Senate Republican staff was ready and willing to meet with Senate Democratic staff and the Senate Parliamentarian to discuss the fact that the House reconciliation bill may be brought down by the 310(g) point of order in the Senate. Senate Democrats are mysteriously unavailable until after the House votes on the health care bill tonight. The Senate Democrats appear to be pushing off this meeting so that House Democrats will remain in the dark about what is likely to happen to the reconciliation bill on which many have staked their careers in Congress. House Democrats should be alarmed by this latest development, since the survival of the reconciliation bill is clearly at risk in the Senate.”
If Republicans can get the parliamentarian to agree with them even once, whatever ultimately passes the Senate will have to go back to the House.
And Democrats in the House quietly admit that its very likely they will have to vote again on the reconciliation fixes at some point down the road.
March 22, 2010 at 12:25 am
Alan Frumin’s the Senate parliamentarian. He’s been employed by both parties, but if he himself wants ObamaCare, I wouldn’t put it past him nto not hear the case fairly.
March 22, 2010 at 12:23 am
And guess where Flotus and the kiddies and grammy and a whole bunch of other people were today?? Off on AF1 to have a ball on Broadway of course..and the Secret Service confiscating cameras cause Dear Mrs. Leader didn’t want no pics taken of her living it up…

I despise this woman She is trash inside and out, and she is living it up on OUR dime while she can because she thinks she deserves it. Thinks she’s had such a “hard life”. Can’t wait ’till she goes home to her corrupt way of life out of our faces and out of our wallets.
And she’s living it up while she can ’cause her loser husband is TOAST in ’12. Hope I never see his hideous face again after that. Ever again.
March 22, 2010 at 12:27 am
If you have never heard of these things, please Google them. I am truly not a conspiracy person but this has had my attention for a year now.
Skull and Bones (secret society at Yale) favorite # 322
Georgia Guidestones (NWO) erected in GA on 3/22 – One goal of ten: to reduce population.
Odipshit to sign scheme bill which will include abortion and reduction in health care for elderly and terminally ill will be signed on…..
you guessed it 3/22/10.
Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorow.
March 22, 2010 at 12:41 am
A lot of these things are not conspiracy but they are truth that have been carefully planned for many generations…and if we don’t wake the eff up and realize this…I don’t know what to tell you..
March 22, 2010 at 7:03 am
A little clarification: The term “conspiracy theory” seems to have people thinking that “truth” and “conspiracy” are mutually exclusive. The same for “truth” and “conspiracy theory(s).” If two or more people plotted in secrecy and/or unlawfully to make it happen, it’s a conspiracy. If someone theorizes, right or wrong, that it happened as a result of two or more people plotting in secrecy and/or unlawfully, it’s a conspiracy theory. (We can thank both the liberal media and the theorists who’ve dreamt up the most outrageous and impossibe-to-believe conspiracies for skewing our perception of the word and the term.)
Anyway, that means that both you and JAC may be correct. Those groups may have been conspiring for generations to bring out the NWO with a reduced population. (Fwiw, I think so, too.)

Song for Stupak: Every Bribe You Take
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEnJDaqT3-0
Every bribe you take
And every vote you make
Every pledge you break
Every step you take
We’ll be watching you
Every single day
And every word you say
Every game you play
Every time you stray
We’ll be watching you
Oh, can’t you see
We wanted to be free
Now our poor hearts ache
With every step you take
Every vote you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
We’ll be watching you…
I can finish the rest another time. G’night!

so sad that because of the difference of four votes give or take that we are stuck in this mess…just so sad..
March 22, 2010 at 12:41 am
I think the postcard idea is a great one and I will be sending one to my so called, but not inreality-pro-choice Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania.
Could some of you call my Rep. Alyson Schwartz and ask her if she plans to cheat to win her reelction by using the same illegal tactics that Obama used to challenge all of his contenders so that he could run unopposed. Schwartz has had all of the republican applicants for the ballot in the republican primary “legally challenged,’ pure Obama tactics.
Here I s communist Alyson Schwartz’s number:

Remember, guys: the majority of The People oppose this monstrosity. They rammed it down our throats tonight anyway!
Hey Democrats! Last time I checked, NO means NO, remember? Political rape is still rape. And we don’t have to stand for it!!
March 22, 2010 at 2:32 am
I’d like to remind all of you that Stupak is not the only one done. Don’t just focus on one person after tonight. Spread the misery and get them ALL booted. There are 219 that are done. Don’t forget the cornhusker kickback, lousiana purchase and all the other votes that were bought, threatened and arm twisted to get.
Although, to give Syupak his due-he is the biggest lowlife of them all
March 22, 2010 at 3:02 am
We know. As the Boyz say, Stupak and Slaughter are test cases. If it works (and it will), we’ll move on down the list of traitors.
March 22, 2010 at 3:39 am
You guys are nice boyz, too.
I never in my life thought that you guys and I would have so much in common…but we do.
We love this country…and hate all of this hopey changey stuff.
God love all of you.
Now…I’ll read the comments…you have fantastic contributors on this site!
March 22, 2010 at 3:44 am
One more thing I should add…any of you who are in LA 6…I think…Rep. John Fleming’s district…get out the vote for him. He’s a physician, and a fiscal conservative…and hates Obamacare.

if you guys get a chance, PLEASE call the man to enourage him, they can stay the entire thing until it is resolved in the courts, the lefties do this kind of thing all the time

I don’t quite see why. Like Lieberman last December, Stupak was merely the villain of the week in a choreographed kabuki that allowed Obama the political cover to do what he always wanted: payback to women for daring opposing him in the elections.

I can tell you one of Stupak’s donors.
They also support several “progressives” in Michigan.
The Stryker family
March 22, 2010 at 8:34 am
Stryker family donations generally:

But before you, as I almost did, contact the Stryker Corporation, this is from their Code of Conduct: “10. Political Contributions. The Company will make no corporate political contributions to parties or individuals, even where such contributions may be legal, but encourages employees and directors to participate in community affairs and to exercise citizenship responsibilities.”
March 22, 2010 at 7:18 am
Had Stupak and his gang voted no it would not have passed..
March 22, 2010 at 7:21 am
Facebook idiots are out in full force this morning. Two people have “for all those who are upset at the “socialists” passing a health care bill, perhaps you should try being uninsured. Or better yet, have friends that died because they were uncovered. It ain’t perfect, but maybe it might be a good start. Now time to read a 1000 page document to see where it leaves us”
(it was emailed to me by my sister as I have given up FB for Lent)
I really want to respond, but I can’t after Easter! GRRRR.
March 22, 2010 at 7:29 am
STUPAK spelled backwards is KAPUTS.
HB what is a money bomb? Everyone on Benishek’s FB group is calling for a money bomb…all the people commenting. Can anybody start a money bomb??
March 22, 2010 at 7:32 am
I blame the repubs, especially Snowe and Collins for this.
If they hadn’t gone along with the senate dims oh so many months ago . . . .
And wtf didn’t the repubs plan for the Stupack cave-in? Seems like their efforts to stop the bill were pure smoke and mirrors.
I’m about ready for anarchy. They’re all FOS.
Impeach Squat and the whole lot.
March 22, 2010 at 10:12 am
Snowe and Collins voted against this bill in the senate. You are off base. There is nothing the repubs could do.

troll alert
March 22, 2010 at 7:33 am
OKAY…I’m seeing it already….DEM strategy is going to be inserting FAKE THIRD PARTY candidates posing a Tea Party protestors….trying to form a third party.
They are already on Benishek’s FB Page. We need to mobilize and counter this
March 22, 2010 at 7:41 am
Third party trolls: we’ll shut them down and squash them every time they come in the door.
March 22, 2010 at 7:44 am
What are they doing on Benishek’s FB page?
We have got to start beating them at their own game.
(An aside – Bev, I just love your enthusiasm. When some of us are down, you pull us right back up where we need to be).
March 22, 2010 at 7:53 am
Okay, I had to go check it out and saw your post (I’m assuming that was you). Glad that you warned them and it looks like people are listening to you.
Of course I had to fan the Doc while I was there. ;) (Now going back to giving it up for Lent)
March 22, 2010 at 7:59 am
I will keep my eye out and squash trolls. Poor Benishek he has no idea what he’s in for. I hope that someone is helping him out with a website that is put together rather than just a white page with text. Endearing? Yes. Practical? No.
March 22, 2010 at 10:13 am
The way to stop the “fake” conservatives is to do the following:
First: Get background information on these plants. Most have a history of Democratic Party work and voting records.
Second: Show up at their “rallies” and let them know you are onto them as being plant trolls of the Dems
Third: Advertise any of the information you find on them so that others can share it as well.
The end result is the coackroaches are scared of the daylight!
March 22, 2010 at 8:11 am
Glad to see so many people willing to keep the fight up. We have some great ideas going. I think most of these problems are not political problems they are spiritual problems – No 1 being FEAR! Our politicians are afraid – mailny for themselves and their jobs/cushy lifestyles. They have no backbone!
March 22, 2010 at 8:51 am
When last seen, Bart Stupak was wandering aimlessly throughout Northwest Washington, D.C. trying to find his missing SPINE! What a weinie!
March 22, 2010 at 9:56 am
Hey all! There’s another candidate running for Congress in Georgia’s 13th district, who is a FANTASTIC THREAT TO THE DEMOCRATS.
Why? Because she’s 1)A medical doctor; 2)A woman; 3)African-American; 4)a “Frederick Douglass Republican”. Check her out. Her name is Dr. Deborah Honeycutt.
Check her out at: http://www.honeycuttforcongress.com/

Good Morning from Cali. peeps,,,

March 22, 2010 at 2:07 pm
[...] Americans now chaff under! They have an innovative program to target the donors, including those of MI-1st Bart Stupak, who toyed with his vote and sold it [...]
March 22, 2010 at 5:40 pm
Want a good place to start…Mike and Marian Ilitch. Each gave $2300 to him for the general and primary in ’08. Owner of Little Caesar’s, the Detroit Red Wings, the Detroit Tigers, Motorcity Casino, among others.
March 22, 2010 at 7:48 pm
Well, I’ve pulled together information on a lot of them, in the order they appear at the Open Secrets page for Stupak. See the next post — it’s going to get stuck in moderation, so if you’d be so kind, boyz, to get it through expeditiously?
