I was sickened also. They didn’t have to do that – they were trying to antagonize and stage a situation for the television cameras. The look on her face spoke volumes – that shitty smile was vile and with that HUGE gavel in her hands like she was going to use it on someone’s head if they came near her. The rest of the COWARDLY DEMS following along behind her like kitty cats looked cowed and like they were going to wee wee their pants any minute. She even DARED to compare that walk to John Lewis walking over the bridge at Selma, AL during the Civil Rights movement! That is insane! I almost went through the TV! Probably because the person who took this video and kept it from the public thought that because Stupak was able to get an amendment out of Pelosi on the House Vote, he’d be able to get an amendment in the reconciliation bill. Only now that person has been betrayed and is angry. Suddenly this video goes viral.

I think it’s time for a Chamberlain CHARGE! from somebody. Rep Ryan had a wonderful quicktime speech with the budget figures, and the economic hardships.
The one thing I wish freedom-loving people would emphasize more, though, when they talk about economic hardship, is that economic hardship translates into very real human suffering.
I guess budget hawks simply take it for granted that everyone knows this, but I don’t think many Dems do. I think to many Dems’ minds, “economic hardship” means that some rich people don’t go on as nice a vacation as they would have done otherwise.
No, economic hardships force many to make tragic choices that they could have avoided if they were more prosperous.
The ones who benefit the most from general prosperity are the poor (at least in a free society), and I don’t think many Dems get that. They think that, since the gap between richest and poorest gets wider during prosperity, then the poor must necessarily be getting poorer. That is like saying that if everyone woke up twice as wealthy tomorrow, the poor would be poorer for it.
The invidious classes really don’t understand the difference between relative wealth (mere status) and absolute weath (real wealth).
It is because we’ve had a relatively free and prosperous society that your average person suffering from, say, sinusitus, no longer needs risky and expensive surgery and a move to a dry climate. No, these days, most sinus problems can be taken care of with cheap over-the-counter meds that any pharmacist is happy to recommend to you free of charge. Who does that benefit more, the rich (who had the money for surgery and recovery in exotic climes all along) or the poor, who used to have no affordable treatment for sinus problems?
And they want to wreck it all, that wonderful innovation machine that has benefited so many of the poorest and sickest among us, in the name of compassion for the poor and the sick.
That’s sick. It makes me sick. I’m crying and I’m angry.
Also, obviously, I’m on a rant. But you’d have to have a heart of stone not to seethe over so much cruelty masquerading as so much compassion.

*decongestants
*antihistamines
*probiotics seem to help many
*pain-killers to mask pain
They don’t use antibiotics (which are prescription only) as much anymore as a first resort. That in itself is an innovation.

antibiotics will only work on the bacterial infection. The snot has to be green before you need antibiotics.
Probiotics help with stomach issues.
With painkillers you have 2 types. In my opinion the Ibuprofen type should be on prescription because if it is taken the wrong way it will cause ulceration in the stomach.
Antihistamines need to be taken with caution. If you have it in nasal spray form you can only use it for a short time because of rebound. The better and cheaper form is the salt water type nasal sprays.
Also need to beware decongestants. The pseudoephedrine can upset the heart.

Hours before a scheduled vote on healthcare reform, Democratic leaders don’t have the votes.
The decisions of two Tennessee Democrats, Reps. John Tanner and Lincoln Davis, to vote no has put President Barack Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her lieutenants in a major bind.
If every member votes, Democratic leaders can only afford 37 defections. According to The Hill’s whip list, there are 39 Democrats planning to vote no.

I’m ok as long as the tv is off. I have a severe eye problem and need to rest my eyes frequently in order to be able to see. I just need to go get my eye drops in and rest them.. won’t be sleeping, just laying there praying.
I am a firm believer that no matter what… God is still in control! There are many times that it really seems doubtful- like today so far- but GOD IS NOT DEAD, HE IS NOT ASLEEP… He knows just what is going on. In there if you even voted R you are filthy or something. Strangely enough, the R’s I know never detested the D’s as much as the D’s I know detest the R’s. There is a lot of hatred in the democrats that I can’t understand. Now, what they are doing is TRYING to build up a hatred in me for them. I don’t hate them a people; but, my gosh, the party needs to be burned and destroyed permanently!

I had a bad feeling all week. I could sense that Stupak was dying to vote for this bill, but needed some type of “fig leaf.” The Hillboyz called it out a week ago, they saw this coming from a mile away.
After Nelson, Blanche-Lincoln and Bayh caving, why should we expect Stupak to do any different?
I do admit I am really sad today, and kind of afraid. However, I have a feeling (I know its unscientific) that the Boyz are right about the Republicans. I think they will have a spine and fight this thing, b/c the people will DEMAND that they do. Palin said on Beck that people have to demand it, and so we’ll elect politicans who are serious about this.
I don’t think people will forget about this, do you guys? People are still ticked off about the stimulus for crying out loud.

Yeah, but it’s going to be harder to take out then put in. For one thing, how hard will it be to take out when the dems start screaming that the R’s are going to be “taking away your healthcare”? You know that’s what they’re going to do. The big question is…. in the past people believed the lies the D’s said about what the R’s were going to do. Will they this time? I hope to God they’ve learned their lesson; and that it isn’t too late.

I have several family members in the medical profession who say that their patients will NEVER TOLERATE rationed care. People are so demanding now, just wait when they are told no by their provider b/c of Obama.

The funny thing is….Stupak somehow thought that holding out would make him look better in the long run because it looked as tho he fought for the provision.
But we all know he was just a liar all along. We have that video that was posted showing he was a liar. So he actually made himself look ten times worse than if he had just admitted he would vote yes all along.

Anybody happen to notice how carefully the D’s stacked the courts over the past 8 years? How many times GWB tried to get a federal judge or district judge put in and they weren’t even allowed to vote on them? How there was a huge back-log of them from GWB’s time due to the congress not allowing them to be voted on? That, of course, was part of “the plan”. Stack up the courts with D’s; stack up the state’s “secretary of states” to certify votes… and then you’ve got protection all around.

Right now, in the long run it seems like it might be good for Dems…they’ll lose this election, and maybe 2012, but it’s another entitlement program that may end up gaining Dem voters…leading us on a march to socialism. Will someone PLEASE talk me down off of my gloom-and-doom?

The key is the next two elections.
But conservatives have a lot of weapons.
First is defunding. No money, no Obamacare. If the Republicans get control of even the House, they can do this.
Second is repeal – or amendment to the point where it’s not an issue. This is going to take control of Congress and the White House, with enough of a margin to overwhelm a filibuster in the Senate.
Third is legal action. The mandate to buy insurance is of debatable legality…and with opposition as high as it is, the courts will feel safe in ruling against it.
Fourth is a Constitutional Convention. The Thermonuclear Option. If 33 states call for one, it MUST happen. There are already that many states opposed to Obamacare. This makes local and state elections critical, though. We need 38 states to ratify an amendment.
