We nominate Bart Stupak for that special place in American history reserved for men who abandon all principles, forsake their countries, their Gods, and their values, and do something unimaginably terrible to bring eternal disgrace upon themselves and all their descendants.
Stupak is particularly ignoble because only a fool would believe a presidential Executive Order will prohibit tax dollars from funding abortions. Executive Orders are not the law.
Stupak and his band of sell-outs always intended to vote for this bill.
Their grandstanding and showboating was all about getting face time in front of all those marvelous cameras. He wanted to be wined and dined and courted.
Perhaps he had one killer crush on the captains of the football, baseball, and wrestling teams in high school. Maybe he spent many a sleepless night curled up in his bed dreaming — HOPING — they’d all ask him to the prom, then devoted the entirety of his adult life to finding some opportunity to be fawned over and seduced the way he wanted to be all those years ago.
Who knows what goes through someone like Stupak’s mind — but it sure looks like he did all of this for attention and drama.
“Me? You want to interview ME? Oh, shucks. Me? My oh my. Stupak’s in demand these days. I’m loving it!” doesn’t seem that far off what we imagine Stupak saying to his staff, loving every last minute of the attention he was lavished.
We really hope every last one of these fakers who claim to be so pro-life are taken to task in a big way once their constituents realize just how much federal money is going to fund abortions when this bill is signed into law. Millions upon millions of babies will be aborted because of Bart Stupak.
They should, in fact, start naming abortion clinics after him.
Even better…just as Benedict Arnold now stands for “traitor” and “your name is Mudd” is a way of telling someone he’s crossed a line and ruined his reputation, forever more whenever anyone abandons his supposedly rock-solid principles in matters like abortion, he should be called a “Stupak”.
“You stupid Stupak!” should be one of the very worst insults in the future.
May this man and all like him never live March 21st, 2010 down, and may voters hold him accountable until the last of his days for what he has done.

Coward.

ABORT STUPAK IN NOVEMBER!!!
March 21, 2010 at 6:15 pm
How do we inform Mr. Stupak that his opponent has gained over 3,500 supporters since 4pm.?
Would be nice to inform Stupak of that before he votes tonight.
March 22, 2010 at 6:52 am
I sent him a link letting him know that I was a serious Scott Brown supporter who would now support Dr B. He is in for a surprise.
March 21, 2010 at 9:02 pm
Today I walked upon a dusty road
Knowing not which way I should go
A cloud of dust from afar I saw
Waiting, it came my way I was alone
At once it came in a giant swoosh
The men’s pictures on American Bills
On horseback with thundering hooves
One other trait they all did have
As they rode by I saw them weeping
Was this the Country they all gave us
Then gone like wings they had
The cloud went up into the sky
(I think not)
March 21, 2010 at 3:59 pm
Coward is too nice. I just friend his opponent on FB and I’ll be sending him money.
March 21, 2010 at 4:03 pm
How do these people sleep at night and wake up look themselves in the mirror? I am astonished.
March 21, 2010 at 4:11 pm
Like any good moral busybody, they do so with approval of their own conscience.
March 21, 2010 at 5:16 pm
Obviously they don’t have one.
Look up NPD via Google. That will explain how they sleep at night.
March 21, 2010 at 4:04 pm
I am literally ill.
March 22, 2010 at 12:22 am
I am physically sick, too, BirdMom.
March 21, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Let’s make it a verb, stupaking, as a variant for that lovely New York word, shtupping … after all, Bart Stupak just shtupped himself.
March 21, 2010 at 6:12 pm
Yeah, but why did he have to stupak us too as collateral damage?
A girl doesn’t like to be stupaked without her consent.
March 21, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Do you think this man can even think of showing his face back home after this vote? For as “principled” as he claimed to be, it didn’t take much to bend him if the House didn’t lose any votes with this “deal”.
March 21, 2010 at 4:09 pm
yep, even the dems openly say an exec. order is not legally binding and means nothing.
March 21, 2010 at 4:13 pm
Stupack has been lying all along:
All of them are nothing but lying scumbags.

March 21, 2010 at 4:15 pm
I cannot tell you how much this pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!
STUPACK WAS ALWAYS GOING TO VOTE YES!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS WHOLE NONSENSE WAS A DISTRACTION.
F THE UNDEMOCRATIC PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 21, 2010 at 6:31 pm
What. A. Dirtbag.
I am so pi**ed!!!
March 21, 2010 at 4:13 pm
for those who may have missed it on the other thread, here’s video proof that Stupak was never going to vote no on the bill.
March 21, 2010 at 4:44 pm
And he was booed when he said it then. He’ll be feeling the fury of those constituents now.
How can a person be pro-life and yet, **when he almost single-handedly has the power to save who-knows-how-many thousands of lives** (and to save constituents from being complicit with their money), choose to flip the switch anyway??
March 21, 2010 at 5:11 pm
Send the video everywhere. Save it. He is going to need to answer for it in November.
March 21, 2010 at 8:39 pm
This video will sink Bart Stupak! HE used abortion to try and save face with his constituents. What a FRAUD! He makes me sick to my stomach.
March 21, 2010 at 9:26 pm
I think every single person who has donated money to or who will be voting for his opponent should e-mail a link to this to Rep. Stupak along with either their intention to vote for the opposition or the amount donated to him.
March 21, 2010 at 4:13 pm
Yes boyz’ I, myself felt the same way in regards to watching Stupak with his interview’s. He seemed spineless, and I wasn’t a bit surprised by his decision.
Back dealing Dem-Whore’s,,, every damn one of them! Keep sticking-it to the middle class..”
March 21, 2010 at 4:15 pm
Michelle Malkin has been saying for awhile now that he would cave. I was hoping she wasn’t right, but (much like Rush), she always knows. I wonder if Stupak believes that anyone will feel sorry for him when he is whining on the news soon that they lied and took advantage of him. They would eat their young to get this through. I hope the magic beans he bought from them will provide him comfort in the coming decades because that is all he will have left.
March 21, 2010 at 4:40 pm
Well, they did eat their own. It’s been Barry’s plan from the start. He too, doesn’t care if he’s out in 2012 as long as he passes hcr, c&t, and amnesty. That is his idea of being a successful one term president.
March 21, 2010 at 4:58 pm
I wonder what the ethics hold over him happens to be?
March 21, 2010 at 4:16 pm
I had given Rep Stupak the benefit of the doubt up until now – but I always suspected he would switch sides at the end. Statist, top-down control of health care can lead to scary repulsive results, re: China and their one child policy. Bart Stupak is a statist, He’s just proved it.
March 21, 2010 at 10:39 pm
The fact that he was for the bill at large, just had problems with that one part, is proof of his statism.
March 21, 2010 at 4:16 pm
I’m sure the constituents of northern Michigan are just gaga over this decision. 9_9
From Alpena to Roscommon to Sault Ste. Marie, change sure can be felt all right.
March 21, 2010 at 4:17 pm
is he from a conservative area?
did people in his district want him to vote yes?

N. Michigan is very blue collar Dem. Yoopers are not liberals. It’s mostly Hillary/Reagan Dems.

To “Stupak” is to lie and manipulate so as to cover one’s butt. To stupak is to disingenuously protest something knowing full well that you will later support it, thus enabling you to make claim to both sides of a black-and-white argument.
Or. So. You. Think.
March 21, 2010 at 4:22 pm
Stupak and Nelson belong together. They say they are pro-life only when it doesn’t count. Same with these so-called “moderates” like Bayh, who “care” about fiscal sanity. It doesn’t mean anything if you cave! Spare us all the trouble and stop telling the public there is such a thing as a “pro-life or moderate Dem.” What a lie.
Casey, our Senator claimed to be pro-life as well, he is the one who brokered the deal with Nelson and Boxer.
March 22, 2010 at 7:44 am
What did we do to deserve Senators ActLikeA-Lady and Empty Suit?
I always thought Pennsylvania was kind of fun.
March 21, 2010 at 4:25 pm
Bart Stupak is a commie rat bastard. I will be sending Dan Benishek a check in the morning (and I’m not even from Michigan).

Beneshek for Congress and join the fight to unseat Judas Stupak. What timing the traitor has – Lent! If his priest has any principles, Stupak should be denied communion.

He’s a week and a half early.
March 21, 2010 at 5:35 pm
I agree. Stupak is as spineless as a banana. No principles, no guts, no conscience. The hell with him.
March 21, 2010 at 6:03 pm
ssmith: Yes. The lying has become infuriating.
The point being made (by Stupak and his type) is that we are a bunch of idiots but we are too stupid to realize it.

My daughter told me she did not have science homework, hence she did not need the workbook when I inquired where it was. However, a review of the workbook when it did eventually make its way into the backpack, and home, revealed that she “stupaked” me.

Yup, and the same Obama who said that the HC debate would be on CSpan, that he’d negotiate discount drugs, that there would be no back-room deals, that he wouldn’t sign anything without a public option, that there would be no mandate. That Obama. Texas, just do your research on the property taxes. Rates can vary widely based on location. Probably still not too bad, though, compared to New York!

Bart Stupak will go down as another traitor in American history. I am appalled that such a bill will be “passed” (if it does) that will undo everything that our Republic and free market capitalist system was founded on. Since when in recorded history (and I’m a former history teacher) did any country “compel” it’s citizenry to buy health insurance? The only instances I know of where countries controlled access to health care and their participation in the system were places like Canada, the UK, France, Cuba, etc. Places where socialism thrives fully and out in the open.
Not to get off track, but what is happening in the US is slow trickle socialism. We first had it in social security with FDR, then the Great Society with LBJ and medicare, then the Medicare Part D with Bush. As a former Republican turned independent, I’m a conservative who would just like to see the Dems (and Repubs) be a little bit more honest about why they’re doing what they’re doing. This isn’t about health care, health insurance, it’s about power and NAKED power at that.
I caught you guys as a link to Michelle Malkin’s site and you’ve been invaluable in understanding what makes Dems tick so to speak. Also, as someone who is an absentee voter in the state of NY and who has a hard-core liberal like Eliot Engel representing the NY 17th Congressional district, I’d be curious to see who funds him and if he has his constituents’ best interests at heart in that district. My elderly in-laws live in that district and they’re absolutely aghast! It’s a spit in the eye of the elderly and those who want to make their OWN health care choices.
Thank you so much for your work. I did my part trying to call Engel to no avail. He’s been crawling under his desk for a long time. I will continue to learn and tune in.

March 21, 2010 at 6:02 pm
I was listening to someone who quoted an anonymous poll taken of Congress. 87% believed that voting for it would HELP them get reelected next November. So I tried to see it from their point of view. I really think they believe that the anger will cool and people will become more resigned and they’ll have time to convince everyone that it’s really going to be so wonderful (especially since it doesn’t take effect for a while). I heard a local radio host on a CONSERVATIVE station say this morning, “Well, the government is already in our lives–let’s be honest people–so why not just take advantage of it? Look for some of the good in it. We’re getting healthcare whether you like it or not, and it’s not really so bad.” THAT kind of resigned attitude is what these politicians are depending on. (I am letting that radio station know I won’t be listening to them anymore).
Also, they seem to all believe this is going to earn them a place in history. Oh, yes, I entirely agree with them, but with a different spin–when the full impact of this is known some years down the road, they will become the most reviled people in American history!
March 21, 2010 at 6:48 pm
Was the radio host a conservative? I would have trouble believing that because conservatives I speak to also “revile” this terrible bill. I can’t believe such an opinion. That is pure ignorance on a part of an individual who has thrown in the towl.
I do agree that when all the facts, figures and outcomes come out about this bill, this Congress won’t look so pretty. Then again, with all the backroom dealing, and selling out of principles, the whole process was ugly. And if these weasel Dems don’t realize that, they’re even more stupid than they already are.
Bills for political expedience and that are only for naked grabs of power will always sit uncomfortably on those of us who will have to pay for it. In the economic realities that we face RIGHT NOW, to think that adding another massive entitlement to our already big collection of unfunded liabilites won’t have an impact on employment and people’s normal economic lives then these politicians kidding themselves.
We’ll make these losers pay. All of them. I hope we expose how these phonies sold out their principles, who funds them… and what they’ve done to sell their souls to permanently attach their lips to Obeyme’s a$$.
We won’t forget what Stupak did.
March 21, 2010 at 6:56 pm
I’ve always thought the guy was conservative. I’ve listen to him lots of times–he’s a local guy–and I couldn’t believe it when I heard him say that. It is a talk radio station, that plays Limbaugh, Hannity, etc.
March 21, 2010 at 6:14 pm
I have posted a snarky image of “The Stupak, It Burns!” at my blog:

Feel free to copy and use the image, but please link my blog if you do.
I intend to work the verb “to Stupak” into conversation at every opportunity.
March 21, 2010 at 6:37 pm
Stupak will hopefully get to enjoy the worst level of HELL. Selling out for nothing, which is what the alleged Obama order is, will bring him well deserved eternal perdition.. we can only hope he gets earthly punishment too
March 21, 2010 at 7:15 pm
I suggest sending him in the mail 30 pieces of (well, we won’t be able to afford real silver, thanks to what he’s done, but–) fake silver dollars, or nickles, or dimes or the like.
No message, or maybe nothing more than a small note of a very few words.
Call him Judas to his face– let him know the contempt we hold him in.
March 21, 2010 at 9:59 pm
I love this idea! Send a little bag of 30 silver pieces (fake). He should understand what it means.
March 22, 2010 at 12:43 am
Maybe send him a pic of 30 pieces of silver? A postcard campaign???

Don’t give up. We fight. Lawsuits – from about 35 states – are coming down the pike. This thing can’t become law while it’s contested in court and if each suit comes up individually, that’ll take a long time.
In November, we run on a platform of outright repeal OR rendering Obamacare impotent through GOOD legislation.
Let these jerks have their moment in the sun. Fall is coming hard and fast and they have guaranteed socialist Democrats will ever be elected to post higher than dog catcher ever again.
March 21, 2010 at 8:03 pm
Stupakifaction … stupakify …
Rep. Scott Garrett (R., N.J.) is speaking, and making many of the points debated here about what sort of precedent for the power of Congress to mandate this bill would set, and also alluding to the idea of a constitutional amendment against all this nonsense.

March 21, 2010 at 8:39 pm
I don’t remember who it was speaking a couple of moments ago–a woman–but she spoke about this bill covering all the pre-existing conditions, all the uninsured, everyone being able to get all the care they will ever need, the drugs they need, covering the Medicare loophole, etc., etc., etc., ALL while lowering the federal deficit!! And maybe they can part the seas while they’re at it??
I am not an economist, but even I can see that you cannot LOWER costs while doing all of these things–it’s absolute insanity!! My blood pressure must be through the roof, I’m so upset!
March 22, 2010 at 12:10 am
Well, the drugs I need for MS run about $2000 a month (I do not qualify for aid, so I am not taking them as my insurance doesn’t cover those drugs).
So, $24,000 in meds for me alone. How is THAT going to reduce costs?
(Don’t worry -even if I qualified, I wouldn’t be taking the drugs right now anyway).
March 21, 2010 at 10:17 pm
Rather than turning Bart Stupak’s name into a verb meaning underhanded deceit, I think it would serve him better if we could from now on say: “This poor girl thought she had no other choice than to have her unborn baby STUPAKED”. Make his name synonymous with abortion like people referred to certain oral sex as a “Lewinsky”. Already, one right-to-life group has withdrawn an award Stupak was to receive this Wednesday. Make this modern day Benedict Arnold’s name reflect the damage he has brought upon the USA.

I sure am glad to see so many fighters here. There are a lot of eeyores on other sites. People are acting as if the whole war (and that’s what it is) is over – when, in truth, we’ve just started.
This won’t be the last bit of America-destroying legislation that d’ohbama tries to pass. In fact, I’ll bet he thinks that his immigration “reform”, etc., will just sail through because we’re so demoralized. We’ll just have to show him that he’s wrong.
This fight isn’t even close to being over – and it’s going to get evn nastier in the future.
But we have to hang tough – because the very future of America and the Freedom of our descendants depends on us.
March 22, 2010 at 12:45 am
Best thing I’ve read about Stupak. He will go down in infamy as a dark, traitorous spot in American history.
After a day of mourning, we get back up and fight! Kick them to the curb in November! Work to obtain a 2/3 GOP majority willing to repeal the bill and impeach Obama – and possibly even convict him (and force his resignation) if possible!
March 22, 2010 at 1:01 am
Stupak received over $700,000 in a back room deal – for airport funding in his district. Still trying to figure out how Obama, Stupak, and the Stupak Group tried to figure out how many dead babies it cost to spend on airports? Don’t forget the entire Stupak Group. What did they Get? We have to find out and expose them. So sick. FIGHT BACK!
