Our promise to America
This is a promise we want all of you out there to hold us to. It is a promise we are making to America, the country we love more than anything else in the world…a place we love more than anything we own, anyone we know, more than ourselves.
If it truly happens, if Democrats truly do ram through Healthcare Rationing this weekend, that will be it for us and the Democrat party. We will, as of the moment they enact their takedown of America, become officially not only Independents, but we’ll brand ourselves firmly as Resistance.
It will become our solid, daily goal to take down the DNC, destroy it, and do unto it what Rome did to Carthage.
We will do this by committing to three primary goals:
(1) Exposing and destroying ACORN in all its forms.
(2) Investigating and exposing every corrupt bargain and backroom deal Democrats engaged in to ram through Healthcare Rationing
(3) Taking down the Democrats’ fundraising machine and making life an absolute living Hell for all wealthy people who fund the DNC and its Leftist candidates. We will feature a different Leftist every day, and encourage as many people as possible to direct their ire at the wealthy men, women, and firms who fundraise to keep these Marxists in office.
We will, in fact, build a coast to coast operation to achieve this, making it our mission to cripple the DNC’s revenue stream.
In that M. Night Shamalamanamon film Signs, at the very end, when things looked the absolute worse for the movie’s family, all sorts of random things came together to achieve an unlikely victory. A guy who should have been playing baseball somewhere, but who had been injured, was instead right where he needed to be with his bat; a little girl’s obsession with leaving glasses of water everywhere was key to having just the right ammo ready when needed most; a little boy’s random and crippling asthma acted up just when he most needed his air supply cut off so he didn’t have to breathe in poison.
The point the director made was that there are sometimes extraordinary moments of great personal and national need where all sorts of randomness comes together, as if by divine plan, to save the day when needed most.
We think we’re part of something like this here.
We started this site to support Hillary Clinton’s bid for the presidency, back when we were dyed in the wool loyal Democrats who absolutely hated Republicans. None of us knew each other back then, and we certainly didn’t know any of you out there. We didn’t want to be writers, but we committed to this project every day to help Hillary.
Well, despite all that happened to our candidate and our party, we kept writing. We kept growing this site. We kept meeting more of you. Personally, the lot of us got to know many Republicans, who are now great friends, and we realized how much we love this country. That was something that was always in the back of our minds before, but now it’s become paramount to all of us. We wake up each morning and listen to the Star Spangled Banner for crying out loud. We have big flags we rescued at campaign rallies in 2008 hanging here in Buzzquarters, and every time we look at them we make a promise to America to never stop fighting to save this country from the Leftists.
We are a most unlikely bunch to be leading any charge against the Left.
We’re gay Democrats in Boystown. We are not the sort of site Republicans and Independents would typically come to every day — and yet, you do.
We feel your energy. It makes us stronger, and it guides us.
Since all of us have spent many years in fundraising for Democrat candidates, we feel like we’re that baseball player in Signs, in a weird unexpected place right where we are needed to be.
We really believe we can teach all of you the secrets to taking down the DNC…just by using what we know about Democrat fundraising against the Left. It’s like taking down Al Capone on tax evasion, when all efforts to get him for everything else more sexy and violent failed. Follow the money. Expose where it’s coming from. Make it undesirable for the wealthy to keep funding the Leftists. Take back this country when the DNC collapses into ruin.
Each Member of Congress is like a glass of water in Signs…filled with Donor info that can be used to cripple the DNC. We intend to do what’s never been done before, and open a new front against Democrats. We’re sure the GOP and other sites out there will be hitting these people in their own ways, like Elliott Ness going after Capone all across the board. But, in the end, we think our plan is what will truly end up destroying the Left once and for all.
And when that happens, we all need to work together across the spectrum to salt the Earth and make sure ACORN and the Democrat Party does not ever rise again. Who knows, perhaps in all of this we’ll also be able to break the unions, eliminate the SEIU, and defeat the Race Industry as well.
We keep thinking about our favorite story from World War II tonight, one we’ve told many times here on this site — the story of Hitler’s most coveted victory over France.
As he prepped to take Paris, Hitler sent a very special team straight to the Louvre when he’d secured the capital. They burst into the museum ready to loot it, with cameras in tow recording what Hitler expected to be his greatest triumph, the capture of all that art and treasure. Instead, Hitler’s goons found room after empty room, completely cleared of all contents. As the government of France dithered in the leadup to invasion, private citizens took it upon themselves to organize a nascent Resistance, and they removed all that art to underground tunnels, caves, farmhouses, and the like, to deny Hitler his prize. The Resistance formed before Hitler had even overthrown the Republic. And the Resistance remained strong and worked hard every day until both Hitler and the Vichy government were overthrown, and the Republic restored to glory.
THAT is precisely what Americans need to do.
We need to resist the Leftists at every turn.
We must organize and mobilize to batter the DNC with everything we’ve got, cripple them financially, and make sure that once defeated, the DNC never rises again.
Starting after the November elections, we need to work hard every day to make sure whatever the Left has forced on this country is repealed, using the very tactics they used to ram it through to undo all of it.
Every last bit of it.
They’ll have their Pyrrhic victory…just as Hitler did when he overthrew the government of France and briefly occupied Paris. But, we will deny them their looting of the Louvre. We’ll do everything we can to make their occupation as difficult as possible, and hurt the DNC more than it can ever hurt this country.
The Golden Age of Hope and Change will, in the end, last just as long as Hitler’s Empire of Germania. And we’ll make damn sure Obama himself goes down in history as the radical, deranged, destructive villain he most certainly is.
Worse than Carter.
The most un-American, dictatorial president this Republic ever had, or will ever have.
Of this we promise, to work hard every day to drive these Leftists from power, take back the country, and undo all the evil that they’ve done.
We hope you’ll join us, and help us do everything we can to save this country — as unlikely and unexpected a ragtag band of Resistance fighters that we are.
BigJournalism solves the Alexi Giannoulias Senate replacement mystery
This is a great connect-the-dots piece by BigJournalism.
Here’s a recap of some of the things we’ve told you, that we’ve picked up on the ground here in Chicago the last month or so:
(1) Alexi Giannoulias is unable to attract more than 12 people to a fundraiser in the city, and 10 of the people there are waiters and bartenders, and the other two are Giannoulias and his aide. That means, to us, that he’s going to withdraw as the Senate nominee, because he will not fund his own campaign. We’ve been at political fundraising long enough to know that if a candidate has a disastrous string of events where few people show up, that candidate leaves the race. That’s what we think is going to happen to Giannoulias.
(2) The guys we know who worked for David Hoffman’s campaign for the Democrat Senate nomination have not found new jobs yet. They aren’t working for Hoffman anymore, technically, and aren’t getting paid anymore, but seem to be in limbo waiting for SOMETHING. There are plenty of campaigns these guys could get on, if not for a candidate than some issue. We don’t know what they are waiting for — and these guys do not have unlimited savings reserves. Most of us blew through any money we had stashed during the Hillary 2008 campaign, so being out of work for even a month must be hurting these guys. What are they waiting for? Why aren’t they getting new jobs? We think it’s because Hoffman’s going to be running for SOMETHING in 2010, just not the Senate.
We haven’t talked about Lisa Madigan for a while, because she hasn’t done anything terrible interesting in months, but she and her father Mike Madigan are always plotting and scheming something.
We should have known they’d be angling to get Lisa the Senate nomination.
It’s what BigJournalism thinks is up:
(1) Giannoulias will be forced to withdraw the nomination.
(2) The Democrat party in Illinois will pick his replacement in the race, and that replacement will be Lisa Madigan, since her father controls who gets picked as the replacement.
(3) Lisa Madigan is the current attorney general in Illinois and is currently running for re-election; David Hoffman will take Madigan’s place as the AG candidate once she’s bumped up to the Senate nominee.
THAT fits perfectly with what we’ve been noticing, in terms of the Hoffman supporters sitting in limbo for now. It makes perfect sense they’d be waiting to work his AG campaign, which would essentially be his Senate campaign shifted to AG instead. We wouldn’t be surprised if he was already printing up his posters and flyers.
BigJournalism conjectures this is what Democrats planned all along, knowing Giannoulias would be a terrible Senate candidate, with all of his mob ties through his family’s mob-bank, Broadway Bank. We always wondered how Democrats thought Giannoulias could survive a Senate campaign with so much dirt on him, but figured Democrats believed Mark Kirk would be such a terrible Republican candidate that they might squeak by with a victory.
We were right about Kirk: he’s running one of the worst, off-the-radar, invisible campaigns we’ve ever seen. Most people we know don’t even realize Republicans are fielding a candidate for Senate. Those that are aware Kirk is running only know about him because they’re still so angry over his Cap & Tax vote.
We think BigJournalism is right, and the mystery of Alexi Giannoulias’ run has been solved: Democrats always intended to replace him with Lisa Madigan, who got to dodge a primary fight and save her resources for the general election.
Madigan has as many secrets and skeletons in her closet as Kirk does, so the two of them can be sure to not bring any of that to light against one another. It’s a very interesting scenario, actually. There’s mutually-assured destruction for both of them, so it’s almost the US-USSR Cold War in terms of the lines the two will draw in the sand and what they both will agree to never talk about.
That would not have happened with Giannoulias.
We’re not sure how Kirk beats Madigan in the Senate race. While it’s long been her dream to be Governor, maybe she’ll do a stint in the Senate and then run against Bill Brady when he’s up for re-election, as the feeling right now is that Brady will defeat sitting Governor Quinn in November.
The BigJournalim piece really made the puzzle come together with this…leaving just one question left unanswered, and that’s when exactly Giannoulias will withdraw.

This is a purely speculative thread, but what do think is going to happen this weekend?
Do you think Democrats are really so suicidal and stupid as to pass the Rationing Bill on Sunday, as Nancy Pelosi keeps threatening?
Do you think the would be stupid enough to actually try to use a “Slaughter Slam” to force that madness through without even voting on it?
Do you think that whatever happens, this weekend is the last stand for this Rationing insanity?
There are a lot of wild cards in play right now. We truly don’t know where the dust is going to settle come Monday. Frankly, we don’t see how Pelosi pulls this business off, because if she had the votes, she would have voted on this today and been done with it.
We’ve come to the conclusion that she really is insane, and much of the DNC is mad too, so what they do doesn’t have to make any sense any more. There’s no master strategy. There’s no real end game. They’re just doing as much damage to the country as they can every day, like termites chomping through the Constitution one bite at a time. They will continue to do this so long as they are in elected office. It appears to be what they were born to do.

What is the procedure for impeaching the Speaker of the House, and can Louise Slaughter be somehow removed from Congress?

Is there any legal mechanism for removing Representative Louise Slaughter from office?
The “Slaughter Slam” is such a determined and repugnant assault on our Constitution that both Nancy Pelosi and Louise Slaughter SHOULD be removed from office immediately for doing the prep work and scheming to use it — whether they go forward with it or not.
Neither Slaughter nor Pelosi should ever hold an elected office again in their lives.
But “should” doesn’t get us very far in life, or in politics. If it did, then the majority of people who are in office wouldn’t be there.
But, we’re wondering if there are processes in place to remove people like Pelosi and Slaughter when they’ve committed such brazen attacks on our Constitution.
Can either of these women be impeached?
Not WILL it happen, but is it possible? Are there legal mechanisms to do this?

Here’s a very interesting question that’s being raised today: if the current president, the illustrious Dr. Utopia, signs off on “The Slaughter Slam”, the illegal and unconstitutional measure Leftists are trying to use to force through Healthcare Rationing without actually voting on it in the House (also being called Demon Pass), could he be impeached and removed from office?
We’re not asking WILL this happen, because we know the answer to that is NO — chiefly because this man is biracial and the MSM and Race Industry is still protecting him. ”The historic, unprecedented first black president” can get away with murder in this White House with no realistic fear of impeachment, for the simple fact that Al Sharpton, Henry Gates, Jesse Jackson and the rest of the Race Industry will set cities like Chicago, New York, Detroit, and Washington D.C. itself ablaze should anyone even HINT at impeaching him. RAAAAAAAAAAACISM! cries would echo through the night, no doubt, as the usual looters, criminals, ACORN thugs, and Black Panthers hit the streets opportunistically taking up the Sharpton-Gates-Jackson call to arms, smashing windows, lighting fires, and stealing as many TVs as possible — all in support of Obama, of course. It’s what many thought would happen in 2008 if Dr. Utopia lost the general election, and why a lot of us thought John McCain just gave up the last few weeks before the vote — did he want to win if winning meant watching the Sharpton-Gates-Jackson machine fire up the looting and violence spree in those upset Obama was defeated?
What would those same forces do if he was actually impeached?
Then there’s the other reality that Democrats control both chambers of Congress, and they would never move against this president, the most liberal and leftist man to ever occupy the Oval. He is their dream come true, everything they ever wanted, so it’s ridiculous to think they’d ever impeach him.
But, our question today is, COULD signing a bill he knows was not passed in the House the way the Constitution requires warrant impeachment of a president?
Are there any constitutional and legal scholars out there who can chime in on this?
Would signing off on the “Slaughter Slam” rise to the level of an impeachable offense?
There was a reason that Chief Justice John Roberts insisted on this president retaking the Oath of Office at a later date, after he flubbed it on Inauguration Day. Why do that if the Oath meant nothing? Very deliberately, Obama was forced to clearly recite the oath, skipping nothing, saying out loud that he would protect and defend the US Constitution.
Well, the “Slaughter Slam” is a very clear rape of the Constitution.
That, in our opinion, sure seems like it breaks the Oath of Office of the president, if he knowingly allows, enables, and encourages something like this to happen.
Is the reason he was forced to retake the Oath linked to the reality that he can actually be HELD to those words, and impeached if he fails to carry out their full meaning and spirit?
