It is our firm belief that the way to prevent the Healthcare Rationing bill from passing is to put an intense fear of the public’s ire into the wealthy people and law firms who fund the campaigns of the following Democrats:
1. Baird
2. Gordon
3. Altmire
4. Boccieri
5. Kosmas
6. Murphy
7. Markey
8. Teague
9. Kucinich
10. Tanner
11. Boyd
12. Matheson
13. Nye
14. Barrow
15. Childers
16. Davis – TN
17. Stupak
18. Carney
19. Rahall
20. Berry
21. Driehaus
22. Arcuri
23. Dahlkemper
24. Pomeroy
25. Ellsworth
26. Hill
27. Grijalva
28. Gutierrez
29. Owens
30. Cardoza
31. Costa
32. Louise Slaughter *added because she’s the one behind this insanity of “DemonPass”…so her big Donors should receive Hell in handbaskets too.
You need to accept, as we do, that Democrats in Congress have stopped listening to their constituents and the American people. Nancy Pelosi, Tim Kaine, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama have built up a mental wall between Democrats in the House and reality. Whatever they are telling these people, it’s working, because they have taken their office phones off the hook, have stopped looking at their mail, and have unplugged their fax machines, deleting all their email and closing the drapes to avoid seeing the mobs outside.
However, their personal cell phones are still turned on.
Do you know who has the number to those cells? Do you know who has their private HOME numbers?
Their biggest campaign Donors.
All of us here have worked in fundraising for political candidates and nonprofits for years. Large Donors can get anyone on the phone, any time of day. It’s been said that Congressmen, especially freshmen in office, spend 5-6 hours a day doing donor maintenance, making sure the people who fund their campaigns are happy, and the checks keep coming in.
We need to research who puts on the big fundraisers for the 31 people above.
What socialites have the Congress critters over for rubber chicken dinners and meet and greets?
What law firms make their conference rooms available for bundling sessions?
Who are the people with deep pockets that make everything Congress does possible?
The people who fund these campaigns are generally not known by the public. But, FEC records reveal all. Simple Google searches should turn up fundraising events for each of these people, which will identify who the Chairs, Co-Charis, and Honorable Mentions are.
What we need to do is find who’s bringing in the BIG BUCKS.
Then, the Tea Party Movement, moderates, conservatives, and independents of all stripes, need to join together in making life an absolute living hell for all of these wealthy people until they call their Congressmen on behalf of the American people and tell them to put a stop to this madness in Washington.
If we can start sending thousands of letters, emails, faxes, and phone calls to wealthy people who aren’t used to having the public ire directed at them, we guarantee you that in just a day or two of this, these people will be hot and bothered on the phone to every member of Congress they are involved with, telling them to do whatever it takes to get the public to stop calling them.
These wealthy aristocrats hate the public.
They live in gleaming condo towers and have offices that scrape the sky to be as high above the public as possible.
They donate money to Congressmen because they then get to have their pictures up on the walls of their mansions and elite offices, smiling in beautiful clothes, surrounded by power to match their wealth.
They do not host those fundraisers expecting the public to track them down and hold them accountable for how their money was spent. They send these Congressmen to Washington, then slink back into the shadows to enjoy their souvenirs.
We think they should be held accountable, for the first time ever, for what’s going on in Washington with this Rationing Bill and the unconstitutional acts being taken by the DNC to ram it through illegally.
If, nationwide, we can launch a sustained pressure campaign on Democrat Donors, the Donors will exert influence upon Members of the House a thousand-fold what the general public can do.
This is the equivalent of forming an air force to fly right over the wall Pelosi, Kaine, Reid, and Obama have built between House Members and the public…we can effectively crippled Democrats by hitting their financial supply lines, high above any wall, deep into Democrat territory where they’ve never expected a sustained and coordinated public effort.
This will work.
It will be a lot of hard work.
It is much bigger than anything we here can pull off on our own.
We need the Tea Party to energize, take this idea, and run with it.
Rush Limbaugh and others have people calling Congress directly to melt the phones. While they are doing that, we need your help to open this new and different front against Democrats, to hit them from every angle, and hopefully get the wealthy and connected so upset they pull out their cell phones and start dialing Congress on secret numbers the public does not have access to.
If we are going to win this, we need to be creative.
Take if from those of us who know fundraising well — if Congress has taken its phones off the hooks, there are still numbers that can be called…we just need to push people with those numbers to start calling them, so that the public will leave them alone.
You are the public.
You are the Resistance.
Let’s get to work.
March 16, 2010 at 7:41 pm
Is it legal to reveal the address of a celebrity/donor or directions to said person’s home?
March 16, 2010 at 7:44 pm
Yes. All FEC records are public. Anyone can find that out. People just don’t take the time to do it because it takes forever and is boring research work.
March 16, 2010 at 7:52 pm
CHERYL CROW….Ms “Wipe your butt with one piece of toilet paper” lives in Williamson County, Tennessee i.e. Bart Gordon’s territory. Go 431 South (Nolensville Road) take a right on ARNO road and a left on Pull-Tight Road. Her MANSION is about 5 miles on the right. You can’t miss it because it’s a HUGE ELECTRICITY SUCKING mansion with HUGE WATER SUCKING LANDSCAPING. She lives in a Republican district.
March 16, 2010 at 8:00 pm
I do not condone violence of any kind. I’m just suggesting a sign or two on the side of the road stating one’s position is perfectly legal.
They stood outside President Bush’s ranch for who knows how many years (and still do I think) so I am doubting it’s illegal to provide an address.
Not to mention the Idiots from CODE PINK are actually posting ads on Muslim websites offering rewards for terrorists to kidnap President Bush or Dick Cheney and I don’t see them getting arrested.
March 16, 2010 at 9:29 pm
Bev, you always crack me up. Loved the TP comment!
March 16, 2010 at 9:32 pm
Alright, everyone, I’m setting up a google doc where we can all collaborate on this project. It’s a spreadsheet, one tab per target.
Here’s how to play:
1) Research. Go to opensecrets, online phonebooks, etc and find phone numbers and other contact information. Put it in the appropriate part of the spreadsheet. Make sure you’re using the correct tab (look along the bottom.)
2) Contact. Go to the spreadsheet, pick a target from the tabs along the bottom, and start contacting people on the list. Be polite, but insistent. Don’t be crazy, don’t be scary, but make your displeasure known.
3) Report. Go back to the spreadsheet and increment the number of contacts. That way we can make sure everyone’s getting called equally.
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AkcOoArpMvQadFU0MDFma3BpSVZxd25PRmJNTHFFMWc&hl=en
4) Monitor. Please be vigilant because we know that we have trolls and rahms amongst us. I strongly suggest you occasionally make a personal copy of the database, so that we can restore it easily in case of sabatoge.
March 16, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Katie -
That spreadsheet will be messed with very quickly.
If info is put on our threads, we can compile it into the new page at the top marked Dem Donors. We will never see it on a spreadsheet.
March 16, 2010 at 10:14 pm
Also, I think it would be helpful to include why someone is being targeted, i.e. who they donated to.
March 17, 2010 at 6:43 am
Cyberstalking is a fourth class felony.
March 16, 2010 at 7:51 pm
American Thinker has an article today listing a couple hundred names/front organizations for the core of the left that might be helpful.
March 16, 2010 at 9:06 pm
The list is here:
http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/03/wake_up_call_for_the_tea_party.html
March 16, 2010 at 7:54 pm
^^^It depends on how you get the information. If you are finding things on Google and regular search that anyone can find…and you don’t get into people’s personal email addresses by trying to change their password like that numbnut did to Palin, you can do whatever you want.
Finding these people is not illegal but what you do to them could be issue. But I don’t think the guys are condoning doing anything illegal. Just calling these legal offices and complaining…filling their email boxes. Or you could stand outside their office with signs telling people that go into their business or office what you’re doing there.
You know what I was thinking? If Congress pulls this “slaughter” rule thing, they really should be concerned for their safety. I’m not a violent person but this may put someone who is already close to the edge right over it. This insane person will claim he’s a patriot fighting for the Constitution…which we all are doing…but hopefully none of us will go and use physical force. It would have the exact opposite consequenses than we want to present. I feel for Obama’s secret service guys…they better wear an extra layer of bullet proof vests!
March 16, 2010 at 8:02 pm
My concern is that there may not be enough time for this to grow and be red-hot. IF Sen Bachmann is correct in what she said on the phone on Hannity’s radio program this afternoon Saturday is “the day”; and anything that is done after that isn’t going to mean much anymore. Sen Bachmann is calling for people to flood the halls in congress on saturday.
March 16, 2010 at 8:32 pm
It puts an extra burden on them, but oh how I hope that those hundreds of thousands who live close enough to DC to drive in in a couple of hours will do so….if you live in that area, those of us 18 miles away are depending on you to be our presence there on Saturday. I know a person “gets used to” where they live, but please….if you are close enough to get into DC and back hom in a few hours, please consider it.
You can represent us on Saturday: it’s obvious our elected “representatives” have been representing us. Thanks to any of you who can do this.
March 16, 2010 at 9:01 pm
I second the plea… Sen Bachmann was- well, all I can say is that you could tell she was really centered in on Saturday. I’m too far away- but if you are at all able – PLEASE “be there” for us and “walk the halls” as Sen Bachmann was begging for.
March 16, 2010 at 8:05 pm
If they do not get the CBO score tomorrow they won’t have time to vote by Saturday.
March 16, 2010 at 8:05 pm
Not sure it it’s going to happen, but earlier on Fox they were saying they expected to get the CBO sometime tonight.
March 16, 2010 at 9:10 pm
The longer it takes for that the better the sign. If they can’t get the CBO score in their favor they are sunk.
March 16, 2010 at 8:06 pm
guys, please call muchkin Dennis K. to vote NO on this PO$
I don’t know, Ace says he is announcing his vote tommorow, who the hell knows how this UFO-believing idiot will vote?
Phone (202)225-5871

March 16, 2010 at 8:08 pm
He’ll vote yes because Obama gave him a bag of peanuts on Air Force One.
March 16, 2010 at 8:10 pm
Bev, lol.
in all seriousness, PLEASE call this UFO-believing fool.
tell him, it will force people to buy into the “evil” insurance companies.
March 17, 2010 at 2:48 pm
Sorry ssmith, but I’ve seen a UFO as a young teenager. It’s something I’ll never forget, and I will never mock someone for believing in them.
March 17, 2010 at 7:14 am
It isn’t the peanuts- the pilot let him sit on his lap to “steer” the plane. [yes, I know it is the opposite of a car]
March 17, 2010 at 1:31 pm
The first two numbers have a busy tone, the third goes to a full mailbox. I’ll try the first two another time. This ass doesn’t want to hear from us!
March 17, 2010 at 5:25 pm
I have been able to get through to his fax on two of three attempts, which ain’t bad. (Though I admit, the fax service I use attempts to send four times before calling it quits.)
Maybe try fax?
March 16, 2010 at 8:11 pm
Is opensecrets.org a good place to start?
March 16, 2010 at 8:22 pm
This might be interesting:
http://irregulartimes.com/index.php/archives/2010/02/11/lobbyist-parties-what-is-the-jocelyn-hong-connection/
March 16, 2010 at 8:26 pm
I started at the top of the list: Baird. Isn’t he retiring? Does it do any good to contact his donors?
March 16, 2010 at 8:37 pm
Yes…they are retiring because they’ve been promised cushy government jobs from the BO Administration. They will keep those donors to get their legislation through congress and the senate.
This is exactly the argument of not keeping these politicians in office for decades at a time. They form alliances with powerful people who keep them in power. The longer they are in power the more powerful the lobbyists. These lobbyists don’t want to have to start over every four or six years with new people…they give them money to keep them there to serve their interests. Bart Gordon is a young guy. I guarantee you he is not “retiring” from politics.
March 16, 2010 at 8:41 pm
Yes. His donors are giving to someone. Contacting them will get them to stop…and they will make their calls to the DNC.
March 16, 2010 at 8:27 pm
Perhaps it is now time to consider all of these people domestic enemies…do you think our military will stick with “We the people” and defend us against these domestic enemies who are going against our Constitution???
March 16, 2010 at 8:28 pm
And perhaps on that note we should agree with Obama…the time for talking is over.
March 16, 2010 at 8:34 pm
Now there’s a bumper sticker!
“Obama says the time for talk is over–I agree”
March 16, 2010 at 8:37 pm
The purpose of the Second Amendment is for protection of the people against despotic government….the right to form a militia and to bear arms…I think it may get ugly soon..
March 16, 2010 at 8:38 pm
Our military would never form a coup against the president. They are loyal to the commander in chief whichever political party they are in.
March 16, 2010 at 8:53 pm
“I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. ”
OK..this is the oath used in most branches, but how can you swear to defend the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic and swear to do what the POTUS says if the POTUS is the one ordering things to happen against the Constitution? That is my point…what is the recourse then??
March 16, 2010 at 11:41 pm
Now let’s see that birth certificate…
March 16, 2010 at 8:55 pm
they are loyal to the US Constitution. And that’s it.
It is not loyal to a person.
History channel did a great 5 part series on the founding of this country, and it mentioned how George Washington, who was a General, who made sure it put in provisions in the military, that the loyalty is to the US Consitution, First and foremost, above all men.
and after the Benefit Arnold episode, George W. even put in a provision that all members of the military have a right to question their CIC over allegeience to the US Consitution. I forget what the exact provision name.
March 16, 2010 at 9:05 pm
“…above all, the oath-taker swears to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. He swears true faith and allegiance to the Constitution, not the Commander in Chief. Only after that affirmation does the oath to obey orders of the president and superior officers appear in the body of the oath. A soldier who obeys an order that violates the Constitution commits treason against the Constitution. An officer who issues a direct order that violates the Constitution issues an unlawful order, and the order should be ignored.”
March 16, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Okay. But you don’t want your military rising up against Obama because you don’t agree with him politically. Just like we wouldn’t want the Democrats telling the military to rise up against Bush because they hated him. That leads to anarchy. We as Americans have the ultimate power and that is to vote these idiots out of office.
Now if the Democrats move to change the constitution…it’s game on.
March 16, 2010 at 9:32 pm
I have worried about the guarantee of second amendment rights in this country. My step-son is in the military. What would happen if the military was ordered to confiscate all guns from U.S. Citizens? I worry about these things, often-times, when I’m in my bunker with my canned peas, muttering to myself with my foil hat on :)
March 16, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Amy:
this should make you feel better.
WY just passed a law… no feds can take any guns away from WY citizens, or the fed will be arrested by WY state officials.
2 yrs in WY prison plus 2000 in fines
http://patriotroom.com/article/externalClicked/10181
March 16, 2010 at 9:42 pm
Thank you, SSmith! My dad lives in WY. Now I see why he chose that place: They believe in the 10th Amendment!
March 16, 2010 at 11:27 pm
No…I don’t think I said that I think the military should rise up for no good reason…but, I also don’t put it beyond the realm of possibility that we may not have a chance to vote them out…
March 16, 2010 at 8:28 pm
Boyz, I think tomorrow I’ll take a stab at researching and collating some of this information. Shall I send what I find to you via e-mail so you can ascertain whether it’s really useful or what you had in mind before you yourselves post it here?
March 16, 2010 at 8:41 pm
Put everything here. We get hundreds of emails. It takes too long to read them all. We don’t have much time to assemble names, numbers, emails, and addresses for these donors.
March 16, 2010 at 9:29 pm
Please make sure the information is front and center. Hillbuzz is a very busy place, and I’m ready to rock and roll in the morning.
March 16, 2010 at 8:44 pm
I’m thinking of collating information from the FEC website — http://www.fec.gov/ — with the Open Secrets one — http://www.opensecrets.org/ — and supplying addresses and telephone and fax numbers from on-line phone books.
March 17, 2010 at 7:48 am
Oh, collation would be helpful. What a good idea!
March 16, 2010 at 8:28 pm
Altmire is making me ill…his office says he hasn’t made up his (he has had a year and voted NO the first time round.). Pelosi “got to him.”
He has been all over TV looking solemn and pensive and paying lip service to his constituents…but body language and tone (IMO) say yes…and I please have somemore Madam Speaker. Will find some Burgh firms that donated to him and “vent” tomorrow.
Now mind you all, the PA 4th District went for Palin (and the old white haired guy) by 11 points!!! And now Altmire says his District is “divided.”. Yes…half have torches…the others, pitchforks…
I wonder what he was “offered?”
March 16, 2010 at 8:41 pm
I think he’s just saying what he has to say to keep the masses from breaking down his office doors. He is in a Republican area. When Hannity mentioned he was leaning yes on his radio show this morning Altmire called yelling “NO I’M NOT” because of the firestorm of calls his office got. KEEP UP THE PRESSURE.
March 16, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Did he call and say that to Hannity?? I was out on the road for work today and only was able to hear snatches of Rush and Hannity… the little bit I heard of Hannity was the part with Sen Bachmann on it. DID Altman actually call and say that? If so… there is at least hope yet.
I still find it absolutely incredible that there are no democrats with any love for America; with any backbone to stand up for what their constituents want- how can there be 200 house dems who are socialist lily-livered crooks?????
If Hitler came back to life and came to America our spineless democrats (and a few R’s too I’m afraid) would just dance to whatever tune he wanted to play.
God Bless America! I love America! I wish our democrat leaders did also….
March 16, 2010 at 8:32 pm
I started looking, and started going name by name down the list. In the course of that I found this website:
http://politicalpartytime.org/
It has information on upcoming fundraisers for various politicians. I’m going to keep looking for information on past fundraisers, but this would be a great place to start looking.
March 16, 2010 at 9:04 pm
I looked a bit harder at the site and it still has information on past fundraisers as well, including a copy of the event invitation. The events I’ve looked at thusfar have an RSVP on them, who is usually a member of the DCCC or a consulting firm, but the venues seem like they’re places that host a lot of these things.
Is this the sort of thing you’re asking for, BuzzBoys? If there’s something else we could look for as well, could you give us Googling tips?
March 16, 2010 at 8:40 pm
There seem to be a few more solid No votes:
http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2010/03/obama-care-the-people-are-winning-5-new-dems-to-vote-no.html
March 16, 2010 at 8:41 pm
Gentlemen, I am impressed. This is one of the nastiest coups I’ve ever heard of…and it will work.
But everybody watch out and keep it legal. Give the foe no opening for counterattack.
March 17, 2010 at 7:13 am
I agree, this is an excellent idea, but we do need to ensure that we don’t violate any stalking laws, etc. The donors to political campaigns are a matter of public record. For example, a quick google of “Stupak campaign contributions” brings up a list with http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=400391 at the top. Click. Scroll down to “money and influence.” Click. http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/summary.php?cid=N00004196

O.k., that just makes me ill. My mother is not only a nurse anesthetist, she is a past president. She is also the only obutt-ma bot in the family, and rather loud about it. I have no doubt she had something to do with those contributions. I’m so embarassed.
March 16, 2010 at 8:46 pm
hillbuzz, just so you know the post you have at the top pinned about going to see Sarah says march 15, 2009. You might want to change it to 2010 so people dont think its an old post and disregard it:)
I hope you can go see her, that would be great!
March 16, 2010 at 8:48 pm
Meet with Joseph Cao’s (R- New Orleans)staff member in New Orleans today, and we could not get a committment from his staff member that he is voting against the bill. He still needs to show up on these lists of people to target!!!!! His phone # in DC is (202) 225-6636 and in New Orleans is (504) 483-2325.
March 16, 2010 at 8:56 pm
Cao is a solid no. I called his office yesterday.
March 16, 2010 at 9:04 pm
With all respect, that was yesterday, before he met with Obummer. And we had about 40 people present at today’s meeting who came away with the same feeling that he is not to be trusted.
March 16, 2010 at 9:11 pm
he met with teh Marxist Messaih today??
March 17, 2010 at 1:36 pm
I got through on the first number listed … Well, his office says he won’t support the current version but if there is somehow (??) revision on the abortion language, he can support it. Hmm. I said that there are so MANY reasons to not support the bill!
March 16, 2010 at 8:55 pm
Just an FYI, the Democrats are having a problem with the CBO scores on this revised healthcare bill.
http://spectator.org/blog/2010/03/16/dems-still-dont-have-the-cbo-s
March 16, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Wait… how can they change the CBO? Can they amend the bill that was scored? If so, are we saying they would be voting on a different bill than the one that was the “final version” scored? If you had told me a few years ago that I would be so quickly suspicious of something being done that wasn’t right, I’d say you were nuts. I know there’s always been dishonesty in government- but this is ridiculous! I never dreamed that it would be like hell opened up and Satan running the congress/government like it’s looking more and more like lately… (sigh)
March 17, 2010 at 12:18 pm
I think this may be the score on the reconciliation bill. No reconciliation bill means a few more “NOs” in the House from nervous members who already think they are getting screwed by the Senate.

I have a funny story from Dork-Girl, here. This weekend, I was doing just this project. I saw where a Jeanne Campbell, CEO of “The Campbell Group” had donated to some nefarious person or another. I shot off an email to Campbell’s Soup and told them I was offended and I supposed they would benefit once the country was broke and we were all in soup lines… hehe
Then it hit me: I was reading “Campbell Group”, not “Campbell Soup”.
I still haven’t heard anything from Campbell’s Soup, this week. To atone, I ate some cream of mushroom, tonight.
March 16, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Oh yeah – she was a Louise Slaughter donor.
March 16, 2010 at 10:15 pm
LOL…I love the new Campbell V8 Tomato Herb soup! I just had some today.

Is the Murphy listed as #6 Rep. Patrick Murphy of PA?
(There is at least one other Murphy)
March 16, 2010 at 9:05 pm
Funny you should say that…Patrick Murphy is my rep…and I know there is another one. Just left a comment about Pat.
March 16, 2010 at 9:22 pm
(PA) Patrick Murphy’s my rep, too.
Here’s some donor info:

Thanks Michelle!
I’ll be working hard against Murphy this year. I have a good feeling that the County, at least, won’t go for him.
:)
March 16, 2010 at 9:01 pm
Blanche Lincoln (D) AR isn’t on your list. Unlike Marion Berry and Vic Snyder, the Plantation Princess has yet to see, or accept, the writing on the wall. She already has upwards of 1.9 mil in her war chest.
She so needs to go.
March 17, 2010 at 6:42 am
Blanche Lincoln is a Senator. The immediate focus right now is on the House. Blanche will get hers, don’t worry.
March 17, 2010 at 7:41 pm
oh sorry, skimmed right over that…
March 16, 2010 at 9:03 pm
I like it!!! My rep (Patrick Murphy, D PA-8) got in on the anti-Bush surge and claims to be a Blue Dog. He has voted consistently with Pelosi to the point that I wonder how he can breathe, he has his head so far up her backside. I’ve called his office repeatedly and the kids there have to be prompted to take down your name and address.
The last e-mail I sent him said simply:
“You’re fired”.
Now, off to do some research…
March 16, 2010 at 9:03 pm
Please don’t take me wrong here- Sen Bachmann just might be wrong. We need to center in on the “halls of congress” on saturday “just in case” she’s right; but in case she’s wrong we need to have the HB Boyz plan already cooking!
As someone else posted here a few days ago:
“LET’S ROLL!”

I don’t believe CNN – but- hey, if CNN is saying this, it’s possible that they are even under-estimating it. This was put on CNN at 7 this evening:
http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/03/16/house.vote.count/index.html
Excerpt:
Washington (CNN) — Five more House Democrats said Tuesday that they will vote against Senate health care legislation, which puts opponents of reform just 11 votes shy of the 216 needed to prevent President Obama from scoring a major victory on his top domestic priority.
An ongoing CNN analysis shows that opposition in the House to the Senate health care plan has reached 205 members.
A total of 27 House Democrats, including nine who supported the House plan in November, have indicated that they would join a unified Republican caucus in opposing the Senate plan, which passed in that chamber December 24 with the minimum required 60 votes.
March 16, 2010 at 9:27 pm
Paul Ryan was saying they lack 10 votes so that’s just what he was saying.
March 16, 2010 at 9:07 pm
Also, I called my rep’s local office today — twice! Both times the phone rang four times before going to voice mail. In the middle of the afternoon. Whaddya want to bet that the people in the local offices have also been directed to make themselves unavailable today?
March 16, 2010 at 9:19 pm
I’ve tried several times only to hear (each time) that he was busy and couldn’t answer, but to leave a message; and then got the message that the voice mail was full and I couldn’t leave a message. I may have to try faxing tomorrow.
March 16, 2010 at 9:44 pm
have you tried calling all 3 local offices??
I dont just call the DC office, which is probably busy, I call all 2 local offices, and tell them ALL to vote NO on this chit.

Every time I hear Paul Ryan talk I feel better.
They are still about ten votes short. That’s the word of mouth. If they had the votes they’d be voting. They don’t have it.
Remember…The day before Scott Brown was elected Robert Gibbs said “We have full confidence that Martha Coakley will win tomorrow”. They’re doing the same thing now. They are playing Poker. They are bluffing. And every day they play this hand is another day we can call and put pressure on the fence sitters.
March 16, 2010 at 9:42 pm
Stand firm! Remember how the D’s did that “inevitable” stuff against Hillary too? This is one of their main ploys. This is much too important for America, and for our kids and grandkids… Don’t give up- don’t cave in- It is NOT “inevitable”! They may have used that to run over Hillary supporters before, but they aren’t going to get away with it again!

The damn GOP is made up of the McCain-Bush-Dole-Hatch lying losers club that GOT us where we are by caving and caving and caving to the Dems.
Who among you really believes the GOP is going to have the balls to repeal or seriously challenge this?
The GOP is OWNED by special interests. Right now they CATER to the T-parties for their own benefit. Meanwhile they sabotage everything we stand for.
Go to HELL, McCain – Bush – all of you. May you burn forever for helping to destroy our country.

At the most, stick to your state GOP- at least you can tell who they are pushing easier than the national group. ATTN SC people: Lindsey Grahamnesty has GOT TO GO. Another idiot supported by GOP national. He is now pushing a national gas tax to replace the “not-flying” Cap and Tax. RINO!!

“Clinton: Hillary Will Be ‘Happiest Person in America’ if Health Care Passes
March 16, 2010, 4:30 p.m.
By Jennifer Bendery
Roll Call Staff
——————————————————————————–
Former President Bill Clinton may have visited with Senate Democrats on Tuesday to discuss climate change, but he left the meeting talking effusively about the need to pass health care reform.
Moments after leaving the Democrats’ weekly luncheon, where he was invited by Sen. John Kerry (Mass.) to talk about climate change legislation, Clinton emphasized the need to move health care reform past the finish line in the coming days. He said nobody will be celebrating the bill’s passage more than the Clintons — not President Barack Obama, not White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel — in part because his wife, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, unsuccessfully took on the issue on during his presidency.
“Maybe Hillary will be the happiest person in America. I’ll be the second happiest person. Even more than President Obama, even more than Rahm, even more than all the people that have been laboring over this forever. I just want it to pass and I think it will,” Clinton told reporters.
Clinton said the final bill “doesn’t have to be perfect” since lawmakers will have to keep working on the issue for years to come. He also cited a January study by Harvard and University of Southern California economists that found “any version of these bills we’re batting around” will lead to as many as 400,000 jobs per year.”

Boeing.
I worked for that sorry company for 25 years. They have always been in the forefront of far-left movements, providing political cover for Washington state ninnies who should never have been in office – like the last two governors, the far-left senators, the pretend-conservative Slade Gorton, etc etc. They constantly ram Hate-White propaganda down your throat in mandatory ‘sensitivity’ sessions at which no cameras or outside reps are permitted, etc etc.
Look at these companies.
A nice list of ‘patriotic’ liars and self-interested blowhards.
Not much use talking to any of them.
March 16, 2010 at 10:03 pm
HB Boyz, did you know this is already a work in progress? ..or so it seems, or perhaps the opposite (donors telling them they have to vote FOR the bill):
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34540.html
Excerpt:
Others in the House said the lobbying can be much less friendly. Aides to conservative Democratic lawmakers describe intense pressure tactics, including one who said his office has received calls from donors. Those calls are taken as a thinly veiled threat to withhold future financial support if the member doesn’t vote as the donor wishes.
“We’re having donors, even donors outside of our district, that are being called and asked to urge support” for the bill, said a senior aide to one conservative Democrat, who indicated the tactics could backfire on the health care bill. “If you want to play Chicago-style politics, and that’s what this is, then we will come out firmly against it.”

How about Lloyd Doggett in Austin? He has all the “creative class” money on his side, the Austin Film Society, etc.
March 16, 2010 at 10:44 pm
Even tho I vomit at the mention of some of these ‘donors’ (Boeing, Time-Warner, Hallmark commies, etc) -
I highly applaud this effort. It is basically an excellent idea. I sincerely hope it can be used in a positive way to ‘influence’ these clowns.
America is disintegrating before our eyes; if you doubt it, have a look at the last half of Dickens’ ‘Tale of Two Cities’.

3)Intl Brotherhood of Electrical Workers

* Harris Corp
* American Crystal Sugar
* Constellation Brands
* Eastman Kodak
* National Beer Wholesalers Assn
* M&T Bank
* Wilmorite Inc
* FMC Corp
all look to be fairly ordinary commercial groups, and thus maybe susceptible to consumer pressure.
American Crystal Sugar: The Slaughter Solution isn’t sweet for America.
Eastman Kodak: Passing ObamaCare by the Slaughter Solution is definitely NOT a Kodak moment.
National Beer Wholesalers Assn: You’d have to have beer-goggles to think that the Slaughter Solution is good-looking.
M&T Bank: ObamaCare will leave American with an MT (empty) bank…
I think I need to go to sleep for the night. I can search for and post specific contact info on these companies tomorrow morning, if people want it.

I’m not really with Senator Bart Stupak on his politics, but isn’t he someone who is working to at least stop this particular monstrosity from being passed? Why is he on the list? Maybe you could tell me something I don’t know about him.
March 17, 2010 at 12:19 am
He’s pro-life. As I understand it the abortion language is the only thing keeping him from a yes vote.
March 17, 2010 at 12:56 pm
AFAIC, this is enough to support him. The rest of the Dems will die over abortion, so his insisting on keeping it out will effectively be a no.
March 17, 2010 at 12:31 pm
Chalk this up to strange bedfellows: He is also the only one keeping a critical group of NO votes in the NO column. Send him some encouragement so he does not feel alone. We need all the help we can get here.

This will be long. Sorry.
I used the website I linked to earlier, http://politicalpartytime.org, to look up everyone on your list. There are two (Murphy and Carney) that don’t have any information, because I wasn’t sure which one you meant. For the rest of them, I found the past and planned events for each, and listed the hosts (not all events had a listed host) that were named, as well as the venues used for the events. I thought this was a pretty funny NRO Corner post on Louise Slaughter:
‘Kill the Senate Bill,’ Said Author of Rule to Quietly Pass It — Daniel Foster
When’s the last time we heard the name of House Rules Committee Chair Louise Slaughter around the Corner anyhow? Oh, that’s right, it was when she was calling for the House to kill the Senate bill at CNN.
Here’s what Slaughter said in an op-ed:
The Senate health care bill is not worthy of the historic vote that the House took a month ago
[U]nder the Senate plan, millions of Americans will be forced into private insurance company plans, which will be subsidized by taxpayers. That alternative will do almost nothing to reform health care but will be a windfall for insurance companies. Is it any surprise that stock prices for some of those insurers are up recently?. . .
Supporters of the weak Senate bill say “just pass it — any bill is better than no bill.”
I strongly disagree — a conference report is unlikely to sufficiently bridge the gap between these two very different bills.
It’s time that we draw the line on this weak bill and ask the Senate to go back to the drawing board. The American people deserve at least that.
At the time Slaughter came out against the bill, I noted that she
. . . isn’t just some rank-and-file progressive barking about the public option, she’s the chair of the House Rules Committee, and co-chair of the “Pro-Choice” caucus, meaning she will have plenty to say about whether Stupak survives a conference report. Her going on record so firmly against the bill could signal that Nancy Pelosi doesn’t have as firm a hold on her caucus as she’d like us to believe.
Needless to say, the reconciliation “fixes” do nothing to address the public option, or the subsidies to the insurance companies, or the individual mandate. And there is no amount of bolding or italicizing that can do justice to Rep. Slaughter’s call for the Senate to “go back to the drawing board” because “the American people deserve at least that.”
Oh well. I guess if you can’t beat ‘em, deem ‘em.

Please visit the link below about the Sale and Use of Campaign Information from the FEC website. It is illegal to sell lists of donors for commercial purposes or for the purpose of soliciting contributions. :)
Political candidates are allowed to “salt” the lists – make up to 10 fictitious donor names with real addresses of campaign workers to detect illegal use of donor information.
http://www.fec.gov/pages/brochures/saleuse.shtml
Please also note that lists from opensecrets.org doesn’t necessarily mean the organization itself is donating, it could mean they have an employee donating; it does list whether it’s an individual or PAC contribution in the right hand columns.
With that caveat, I don’t know if this helps, but for Dennis J. KUCINICH, the following individuals were listed as members of the Re-elect Congressman Kucinich Committee (info collected from 2009 Reports of receipts and disbursements form filed with the FEC, note some of the individuals contributed more than what is listed, I just didn’t feel like adding up each election cycle contribution for each individual):

And how’s this for the funny? According to opensecrets.com, among the top donors to BO’s 2008 presidential campaign were universities. Wonder how much they love his idea of nationalizing higher ed?
University of California $1,591,395
Goldman Sachs $994,795
Harvard University $854,747
Microsoft Corp $833,617
Google Inc $803,436
Citigroup Inc $701,290
JPMorgan Chase & Co $695,132
Time Warner $590,084
Sidley Austin LLP $588,598
Stanford University $586,557
National Amusements Inc $551,683
UBS AG $543,219
Wilmerhale Llp $542,618
Skadden, Arps et al $530,839
IBM Corp $528,822
Columbia University $528,302
Morgan Stanley $514,881
General Electric $499,130
US Government $494,820
Latham & Watkins $493,835
And wth? The U. S. Government donated almost half a million dollars to BO and $200k to McCain? How does that work? Is that tax payer money?
March 17, 2010 at 7:23 am
oops, never mind, guess it pays to read the text on the page . . .
This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2008 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organization’s PAC, its individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals’ immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.

In Europe when they want to make a point they shut down the highways. It works. Lets start driving 40.
March 17, 2010 at 11:22 am
Kucinich needs to be top of the list. A fancy plane ride and a few White House chotsckies and he is now a “firm yes”? Besides, aliens (the outer-space kind) should be congressmen.
March 17, 2010 at 11:24 am
Correct: should “not” be congressmen.
March 17, 2010 at 11:54 am
For # 27 on the list, Grijalva:
Washington site is constantly busy, but they are answering the phones (very nicely, I might add) in Yuma:
YUMA Office:
1455 S. 4th Avenue Suite 4
Yuma, AZ 85364
ph (928) 343-7933
fax (928) 343-7949
They are answering the phones in Tucson, but hanging up on you when you get the word “healthcare bill” out.
TUCSON Office:
810 E. 22nd St. Suite 102
Tucson, AZ 85713
ph (520) 622-6788
fax (520) 622-0198
I have no donor information yet.
March 17, 2010 at 12:12 pm
It takes a while to get the hang of looking up this information and collating it, but I’ve done so for the first name on the list and shall continue — but any advice on the usefulness or otherwise of the various pieces is helpful as I go on.
I’ll copy and paste it all into a separate post, as there are many internet links. Boyz, could you clear it through moderation quickly?

Well, this does take a lot of work, Boyz. Coming after this post is the compilation for Bart Gordon, a bit more extensive than the first one (he has more donors). Again, please squirrel it through the moderation as quickly as you can.
Not all the donors are worth contacting, probably, but you never know — one of the unions that donated to him (Unite Here) announces their opposition to the SEIU right on its website.
