UPDATED: FOUR things to say about Scott Brown, who remains Hottie McAwesome to us

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

H/t Mizz Jodee

Some of you are kicking around Scott Brown today because he voted with Democrats on a Jobs Bill the Democrats in Massachusetts successfully convinced voters Brown needed to vote for — lest he be seen as anti-jobs at a time when the people of Massachusetts want more jobs, and are still getting used to the idea of someone with an “R” after his name sitting in a Senate seat representing the Bay State for the first time in decades.

Here are four things we want to say about Scott Brown:

(1) He’s hot and awesome and that hasn’t changed.

(2) He is single-handedly the reason Democrats were not able to ram through the Rationing Bill last month.  So, Brown served a great purpose to the nation already.  Whatever he does good in the future is just gravy, folks.  For us, he has served his purpose.  Now, going forward, Brown will vote on the side of sense and reason more often than he will vote with lunatics.  If it was Senator Coakley in Massachusetts, there would never be any reason at all.  Brown will vote more than half the time for fiscal responsibility, national security, economic development, and the preservation of the constitution.  Coakley would have voted the way the DNC wanted her to 100% of the time.  So, you need to see that Brown is a man who wants to be re-elected to the Senate in 2012.  To do that in Massachusetts, he needs to be a Massachusetts Republican, in the way that the Weird Sisters are Maine Republicans.  Purist trolls out there don’t seem to understand this, but to win elections, people like Brown must do what his constituents want.  They wanted a Yes vote on this bill.  So Brown gave them one.  In the future, it’s up to Brown to juggle his votes between what Massachusetts wants and what he knows is best for the nation.  We have confidence this man will do what’s right much more often than not.

(3) Scott Brown will not be president.  Ever.  We really like the man…as a Senator.  But, did you learn nothing from the McCain campaign?  Republicans need to run a true conservative because that’s what Independents want when they are desperate to vote for a Republican in an election year.  They will not vote for a Republican who is Democrat-lite.  Meanwhile, they don’t vote for a Democrat unless they think that Democrat is a moderate (which Dr. Utopia claimed he was…even though we all knew better…and was able to trick Independents into believing him).  Brown is a great-looking guy.  He has a wonderful wife and a pair of gorgeous, smart, and talented daughters.  They are the perfect Senate family.  We hope he’s in the Senate until retirement many years from now.  We’d love to help with his Senate re-election campaign.  But, he is not presidential timber.  As a Democrat, he’d probably be a conservative or moderate Dem like us, and he could be president someday, taking Evan Bayh’s place now that Bayh’s revealed himself to be anything but moderate. But, Brown has that “R” after his name and won’t be switching parties ever.  Thus, the Senate is as far as he’ll go…unless he wants to be Governor of Massachusetts some day.  Which, come to think of it, is a very good place for Brown in the future.

(4) UPDATE: The other thing that occurs to us that many of you need to remember is that Brown was not a deciding vote on this matter. Olympia Snow, Susan Collins, George Voinovich, and K.I.T.T. Bond, the legal name of the car from Knight Rider, apparently, all voted with Democrats for this “jobs bill”.  So, the ire directed at Brown, and the melodrama over him “abandoning you” or “throwing you in a well” or “stabbing you in the back” is just misplaced on this one, folks.  This bill was going to pass with Brown or without him.  It would be a different story if the Weird Sisters, Voinovich, and that car all voted AGAINST the bill, and Brown broke ranks to vote with the Dems.  Then, and only then, would we see your side of betrayal regarding Brown.  Frankly, even in that event, if Brown thought his constituents wanted a YES vote on this, then he needed to give them a YES vote.  It’s Brown’s job as Senator to represent his constituents as best he sees fit.  If he read this bill and didn’t think it would damage the country, and that his voters wanted it, then his duty is to vote yes.  Just like, we wish every day Scott Brown came to work in just a red, white, and blue Speedo to conduct business in all his centerfold glory.  Man, we’d just love that.  But, would the voters of Massachusetts want that?  No.  Would that be good for the country?  No.  So, we’re disappointed.  We live in Illinois, and can never vote for Brown, so us being disappointed in Boystown for the lack of Speedos in his daily wardrobe doesn’t amount to a hill of Boston baked beans.

So, that’s our take on all this.

Brown saved us from the Rationing Bill, so he’s a hero.

Brown will occasionally take votes he has to so that he can stay in the Senate.

Brown is not going to be president so long as he is a Republican.

Give the guy a break, don’t berate him, and always look at the big picture.

Especially when that picture’s a smokin’ hot centerfold.

Keep Dick Cheney in your thoughts: resting comfortably in the hospital

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Get better so you can get back to being awesome and haunting Obama's dreams.

Dick Cheney’s in the hospital tonight, after suffering chest pains.

This man is the country’s #1 supporter of LGBTQ rights, he worked hard for 8 years to keep this nation safe, and he’s working overtime in what should be his retirement to prevent the naive socialist in the Oval Office from destroying the country.

Some call him “Darth Cheney”.  We kind of think of him as Superman in a cowboy hat, with glasses, taking no crap from anyone.

If you’re the sort, please send some prayers Cheney’s way.

This is someone we spent the last decade or so hating, because as Democrats we were told to.  So, it’s only been a year or so since we discovered his awesomeness.  We want the guy around for many years so we have a chance to revel in everything he does post-Vice Presidency, and maybe get the chance to thank him for his efforts in person.

PLUS, Cheney needs to keep mentoring and guiding his marvelous daughter Liz, grooming her to be a future president some day down the road.

God Bless and Keep Dick Cheney Safe, Healthy, and In Fighting Spirits…ALWAYS.

Why won't MSNBC hire black people?

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

The Dallas Tea Party has invited Keith Olbermann and the other Leftists at MSNBC to come to Dallas and explain why MSNBC does not hire black people to be prominent on-air talent. It is the only television network we can think of that refuses to hire black people.

Why is that?

Is Jerry Brown senile?

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Did Jerry Brown paint this?

There are an increasing number of reports that Jerry Brown, who is running for Governor of California, is senile.  His speeches are rambling, he loses his train of thought frequently, and many supporters leave the room baffled as to what he was talking about.

Recently, a friend’s mother was diagnosed with dementia.  This came after several years of her making odd choices, losing her place in the middle of a thought, fumbling with things that used to come easily for her, etc.  And that woman spoke better than Jerry Brown does.

Have you heard anything else on Brown being senile?  Are Democrats truly going to run this man for Governor when in a year or two he might not be able to execute the duties of the office with a clear mind and sound judgment?

If there’s any validity to the claims of his impairment, then Brown needs to step aside immediately…so a decent Democrat can run, as suggested by sites like The Temple of Mut, and give the people of California a good choice in the coming election.

A Queen Gone Insane

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Honestly, every day this president reminds us more and more of a second-rate drag queen who has done lost her mind.

In Boystown, there are superior queens like Miss Foozie, Ceyon Flare, Frita Lay, and Jade (from RuPaul’s Drag Race).  These ladies know how to work a crowd.  If they’re doing a bit, and the gays aren’t buying it, honey, they pivot to something that’s more popular that will get butts out of their seats and up onto the dance floor.  If they’re warbling some tired Karen Carpenter crap, no matter how much they love the dismal abyss of the 70s, and people are heading for the door en masse, you bet your sequined, feathered rump these queens will slip into “Poker Face” whether they’re personally goo-goo for Gaga or not.

They know their crowd, their constituents, and in the immortal words of RuPaul herself, they make it WORK.

Not Miss Thang in the White House though.

Nope.  She insists she’s right, and Mary ain’t about to switch gears and start working on creating new jobs in this country.  Nope.  Old Tantrums and Tiaras herself, our illustrious president, insists on driving this country’s economy into the ground to prove some bizarre point.  This is what really bad amateur queens do here in Boystown.  This is what terrible, tone-deaf singers do on Karaoke nights at Roscoe’s.  True, there’s a whole songbook full of choices they can pick from.  If they want to sing “Endless Love”, Honey West or one of the other hosts aren’t going to stop them.  It’s their funeral.  Croon away, and be glad there’s no salad bar because you’d be dodging some tomatoes.

Narcissists continue a reckless course despite every warning to change direction because they either believe so much in their own abilities that failure isn’t an afterthought let alone an option, or they know things are so bad that they’re too scared to admit how horrible they’re doing and the only thing they know how to do is just keep on being terrible.

That’s essentially the blueprint of Claire McCaskill’s entire life.  ”I’m terrible.  Everyone knows it.  I’ll just keep on being terrible until I’m finally out of a job.  Hey Lady, get me more of those sammiches!”.

Do you think Miss Thang, our current president, really believes s/he’s right, and that s/he has the power to convince everyone of this after the Rationing Bill is passed and the economy and health industry is ruined beyond repair?

Or, do you think Miss Thang isn’t THAT delusional, and instead knows how bad things are going in this presidency, so s/he figures “Why not just destroy everything, since I can’t save myself or my presidency?  Hell, I might as well sing “Muskrat Love” while I’m up here. Honey, cue up #4657 for me on that old karaoke, ’cause Momma’s gotta sing, and ain’t nobody can stop Mamma from doing it”.

Well, here’s hoping Americans boo this president and his repertoire of disaster off the stage, like a bad queen laughed out of a parade here in Boystown.

Because when we see headlines like this on Drudge, clearly spelling out what a coming disaster this is, we’re stunned the White House is this blind, this stupid, this egomaniac, and this out of touch with reality that it doesn’t know the blowback that’s coming.

Did the White House commit a federal crime by offering jobs in exchange for political favors?

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

This is a very interesting story, that could ultimately land Rahm Emanuel in federal prison (where, oddly enough, after watching Oz over and over and over again, he’d probably enjoy himself. “Tobey + Keller 4-eva!” is rumored to be printed on Rahm’s favorite, super comfy, pink nightshirt).

American Spectator is covering the bribe the White House tried to give to Joe Sestak, in the form of the job of Secretary of the Navy, so that he would not run against Arlen Specter in the Democrat primary in Pennsylvania (no word on if the White House tried to bribe any of the Sleestaks to not take part in the spectacle that was the recent Land of the Lost remake, a film worse than Arlen Specter’s poll numbers).

That’s in addition to the bribe the White House tried to give Andrew Romanoff, in the form of a job at the Department of the Interior, so that he wouldn’t run against doomed Democrat Michael Bennett in the Colorado primary (though, it seems the Tzar-loving White House was confused as to who this particular Romanoff really was).

This is what you get when you send Chicago to Washington and give it control of all three branches of government.

We tried to warn America about this, but Hope! Change! Bribes! happened anyway.

Maybe after indictments start rolling, more Americans will wake up to exactly what’s going on with the current president and all his merry men around him.

Question: Do you care at all about the Oscars?

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Last night, volunteers from the Center on Halsted were out in Boystown trying to sell tickets to their big Oscar party ($75 a pop, held not at the Center but at a downtown hotel).  There weren’t many takers, mainly because few have $75 to blow for the pleasure of watching a free TV event on random screens in a ballroom.

For us, and we take a lot of heat for saying this in the LGBTQ community, but we also don’t especially like supporting the fundraising efforts of the Center on Halsted.  Until that place gets new management, we feel about them the same way we feel about the Human Rights Campaign.  These are two LGBTQ organizations that on paper seem wonderful, but in practice their directors are too drunk on the PC Kool-Aid and Leftist agenda to successfully focus on their true missions.  The Center on Halsted, more than anything, is a place for young criminals to hang out, use as a base of operations, and terrorize Boystown, robbing and beating people late at night whenever there’s good weather (they take a break in the winter, and whenever it rains).  The Human Rights Campaign turned over every cent it raised from June-November 2008 to the Obama campaign…every cent…and what does the LGBTQ community have to show for it?

So, in our minds, both the Center on Halsted and the Human Rights Campaign are, combined, like an Orwellian “Ministry of Gay”, which succeeds in doing none of things it purports to do.  The Center was supposed to foster a sense of community in Boystown and make the neighborhood better:  instead, it creates crime and enables criminals to terrorize neighborhood residents.  The Human Rights Campaign was supposed to raise money to help LGBTQ causes, and instead it forked everything over to an administration that has a worse record on Gay Rights than its Republican predecessor.

Hope!  Change!

As we watched the Center volunteers trying to drum up support last night, we thought of a dozen different things they could have done to sell the event out in a single night.  For starters, drag queens in Boystown are hurting right now.  Big time.  None of the clubs are paying entertainers what they used to, and private parties are few and far between these days.  Normally, drag performers would be booked left and right, but most are all dressed up with nowhere to go these days.  Why doesn’t the Center hire the drag queens of Boystown to dress up like old movie stars and sell tickets for the Oscar event?  It seems like a no-brainer.  Nobody can work a crowd like a queen, especially when she’s dressed up as Bette Davis or Joan Crawford.

And these queens should be booked for the event, too, working the crowd like it’s really Oscar Night in Hollywood, staying in character, and making some of the dumber guests guess who each “star” is.  If you can’t ID Davis and La Crawford, your gay card should be revoked at the door…but more obscure silent and Golden Age movie stars could require a bit of thought.  Is that a second Bette Davis, or is it Talulah Bankhead?  Is that supposed to be Constance or JOAN Bennett?  Is that Marion Davies or Mary Pickford?  Veronica Lake or Jayne Mansfield?

Drag kings should be used, too, for the male stars.  Particularly the more slight and feminine-featured ones, like Valentino, James Dean, Montgomery Clift (pre-accident), etc.

That’s how we’d make the Oscar event a hit, if we were helping these people.

But, honestly, we just can’t do anything to help the Center as long as it continues to contribute to the crime and violence in Boystown, by turning a purposefully blind eye towards the young criminals who congregate there all spring, summer, and fall.  The Liberal mindset is to ignore problems like this because the criminals are black, from the Southside, coming to Boystown to mug gay guys…and Liberals don’t want to admit (1) that blacks are hunting gays as prey, pitting two core Democrat constituencies against one another and (2) that blacks are doing anything wrong period, because calling a black person out on bad or criminal behavior is RAAACIST!, always.

We also just can’t get ourselves to care about the Oscars anymore, either.

We still like movies.  We love the glamour of past Oscar nights.  But, we just stopped caring about the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences the year Brokeback Mountain lost Best Picture, to Crash (a movie hardly anyone remembers, let alone talks about, anymore).

We remember that Oscar night, because we were at a charity Oscar party.  Half the crowd was dressed like cowboys.  There was such excitement in everyone’s eyes as the nominees were announced, with guys holding hands and waiting for the signal to start cheering and hugging, like it was New Year’s and we were all waiting for the ball to drop.

And then, disappointment set in as it was announced Crash had won.  The Liberals chose the story about race over the gay story.  Just as Liberals always choose the black community over the LGBTQ community.  No one in Boystown wants to admit or talk about that, but it’s true.

We just haven’t cared about the Oscars since Brokeback lost.

This year, we want Sandra Bullock to win for The Blind Side, because it was the best movie we saw in a while, and we’ve met Bullock and she is one of the nicest famous people we’ve ever run into.  We’d also like Monique to win Best Supporting Actress, because we saw Precious and it’s still haunting and beyond memorable, with Monique playing one of the worst mothers we’ve ever seen on film (still nowhere near Louella, but that woman’s not been in a movie yet).

Aside from that, meh.

None of the male performances were terribly interesting.  We still don’t get the fuss about Avatar, even though we like 3-D movies, and we love both Smurfs and cats, so you’d think a 3-D movie about Smurf-cats would be up our alley, but we just didn’t like it.

It’s great the Academy isn’t allowing the nominated songs’ performers to take up a combined hour playing music that’s mostly terrible.  We’re sure they’ll find something else awful to kill time instead, because it seems the intent to rarely make this telecast the least bit entertaining.

It’s doubtful we’ll even watch the Oscars this year.

Are you planning to?

Interesting Read: how Al Gore was a terrible Pope for his Church of Anthropogenic Climate Change

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

H/t seapea

Here’s a great article in American Interest by Walter Russell Mead, called How Al Gore Wrecked Planet Earth.

While the writer is a believer in the Anthropogenic Climate Change hoax, he notes its collapse, and the failure of its Pope to hold things together.

What’s really interesting about this piece is the potential it shows for the Left to turn on Gore in the coming months, once they realize the AGW Church has collapsed, and Gore did not save it.

It seemed impossible just a few months ago, but perhaps Gore’s Nobel Prize really could be taken away and he could actually go to prison for his part in the hoax.  If the Left abandons him, who will stop the consequences from coming back to haunt the Gore-acle?

The American Media isn’t reporting on any of this, still, and because of that, they’re probably going to go down with Gore and his band of lunatics too.

Something interesting in Hillaryland happening this week

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

President Clinton in 2013?

We have no idea what this is going to be, if anything, but rumor amongst Hillary supporters today is that there’s going to be some sort of outreach made in the Hillaryverse, for some reason.  Remember, Clinton’s campaign network never disbanded.  Once she left politics and became Secretary of State, her supporters kept in contact through NoLimits.org and other channels.  Where she’s not technically running any sort of political operation, but her supporters are seeing to it that everyone stays in touch…for some future reason.

Word is, something interesting could be happening tomorrow or so.  We’ll keep you posted if we hear more.

Question: Is All Hell About to Break Loose For Democrats?

Posted at February 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

We freely acknowledge when we don’t get something about American culture, especially pop culture.

In the 80s, we couldn’t understand why so many refused to believe Milli Vanilli were lip-synching, when it was obvious to us they were frauds. We have no idea why Avatar, a terrible movie that was essentially Pocahontas in space, made so much money.  We don’t see the appeal of the Jonas Brothers or have a clue who Justin Beiber is.  We never understood why so many Americans believed a cog in the Chicago political machine was a “Lightbringer” sent from the stars to solve all their problems.

Currently, we don’t understand how Democrats can believe using Reconciliation to ram through their terrible Healthcare Rationing bill is viable.  We don’t see how it’s legal, for one, because the Senate parliamentarian has stated repeatedly that Reconciliation was not intended for legislative efforts this massive. There should be instant litigation in every state over any attempt to abuse Reconciliation this way, and thwart the constitutional process for legislation as intended by the Founders.

At the heart of all of this is the simple fact that we don’t understand where Democrats’ heads are right now:

(1) The public hates this Rationing bill with a passion, and will hate it even more as people begin to wake up to the reality of what this bill would force upon them

(2) We don’t see how forcing something people don’t like upon them will make them suddenly like it.  We don’t like seafood.  Taking us to Red Lobster and making us sit in front of a giant pile of shrimp won’t make us want any.  Try as you might, you also won’t be able to make us eat it.  You can try to force it into our mouths, but we won’t chew, and we’d never swallow.  This president might like having all sorts of things in his mouth, and from what we hear he swallows, but count us out.  He is insane if he thinks he can force the American people to do what they do not want to do.

(3) This all has the potential to launch the biggest protests this nation has seen in some time, if not ever.  It makes us so mad, we wish there was a protest to go to today, because we’d be screaming and yelling on the street about this if we could join a bunch of fellow Americans doing the same.  This is an absolute outrage committed by a dictatorial socialist who believes he is King-Emperor (or queen, as we call him), not president.

How on Earth will ramming through this disaster of a bill be any good for Democrats?

We also don’t see how Reconciliation could create a bill that would be unrepealable in the next Congress.  How can one Congress create something to destroy the country that can’t be undone come January 2011 when the next Congress is installed, with as few Democrats in it as possible?

What can be done to rile the regular, non-political Americans up against this monstrosity?

Do you think that’s already happening on its own, and that all Hell is about to break loose for Democrats and they don’t know it yet?

What think you?
