We remember watching Titanic and learning, from Leonardo DiCaprio, of all people, that when a giant ocen liner goes down, it sucks everything floating around it in the water down too. The enormous bulk and weight of that wreck sinking deep into the abys pulls anything close to it down below as well. Whoosh! Glug, glug, glug. Epic fail. Drown.
The Church of Anthropogenic Global Warming is collapsing…even the crooks at East Anglia University in the UK are admitting there has been no warming of temperatures for 15 years. They’ve all been lying this whole time. Conveniently, they keep claiming to have lost their notes and can’t produce any data sets proving their warming claims.
Our chemistry teachers in Catholic school never let us get away with “somebody told me” or “I don’t remember where I heard it” in our lab reports: we never did anything more complicated than form a yellow precipitate from the combination of X and Y solutions, but those nuns were strict, and didn’t accept “I lost the data sets” back in 11th grade.
Apparently, there are no standards whatsoever for “climatology”. The crooks and con men behind the global carbon credit Ponzi scheme are on the ropes, with the BRITISH press exposing more fraud and collusion every day.
Lake Erie is frozen over for the first time in 15 years. Europe’s been pelted with blizzards. Almost every state in the US has record snow fall this year.
All coinciding, we note, with the period of decreased solar activity we’re currently in.
Because, as we learned in Catholic school, THE SUN CONTROLS THE EARTH’S CLIMATE.
We’d love to join a movement demanding Al Gore return his Nobel Prize…while a separate but related movement begins to see what Al Gore can be prosectued for, in terms of his role as Pope in the Church of Anthropogenic Global Warming.
ManBearPig, The Gore-acle, The Dope, whatever you want to call him, has a lot of explaining to do.
Democrats in general have a lot of explaining to do.
The American media has a lot of explaining to do, for not reporting on the collapse of this AGW Church.
Why is that, we wonder?
Why is the American media refusing to report on this story?
It’s because they saw Titanic too. Probably two dozen times (and they still cry every time Jack goes under water).
There’s a very good chance that if the American public realizes how deliberately and aggressively they were conned by Al Gore and the Left with this Anthropogenic Global Warming business, and if the public realizes how much tax dollars were dumped into the hands of the international criminal cabal behind this scheme, the Democrat Party could go down with its Church…and the two will take the American media down with them.
What happens when the public finally, at last, has concrete, hard-evidence that the news networks really ARE controlled by the Leftist in the Democrat Party? What happens when people realize the New York Times and other papers really ARE no different than Izkra and Pravda. It is all propoganda, people. Just as everyone long suspected.
And the collapse of the Church of Anthropogenic Global Warming proves it.
Democrats don’t want this reported because it’s damaging to the party. So, the MSM refuses to report on it. The lot of them are insane to believe this is just going to go away.
We don’t know what it’s going to take to wake America up…because the nation’s been asleep for so long…but it is a slumbering giant to be sure.
And when that giant awakes, when the public finally sees Democrats for what they have become, there is going to be epic Hell to pay.
We don’t see how either Democrats or the MSM get out of this intact.
We really don’t.

The Lying Media, Lying Scientists, Lying et al, need to be sued in Trillion-Dollar-Class-Action Lawsuits!
They lied and created a GIANT Madoff-style Ponzi scheme to STEAL taxpayers money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 16, 2010 at 2:31 pm
I think Sarah accidentally put an extra S in there. It’s not the Lame Stream Media. It’s just the Lying Media.
Can we get Sarah to do a FB post on this? SHE could take the whole thing down with one on-target throw of her ninja star!
February 16, 2010 at 2:33 pm
Also on the Ponzi scheme thing, isn’t it becoming increasingly obvious that the whole Treasury Notes thing is one giant, epic ponzi scheme? They sell new notes to pay off the old notes. Isn’t that the definition of a Ponzi scheme? Why is no one catching onto this? Or is China…?
February 16, 2010 at 2:51 pm
Now this would be one for the “History Book’s…..”
Right-on Buttered,,,ditto’s on that” and to these PROFESSOR’S teaching and peddling this crap,,, be-Damned to them all..”
February 16, 2010 at 5:15 pm
Actually, China sold something like $50+ billion treasuries since December, so they are no longer the largest debt holder.
Its back to being Japan.
Doesn’t refute the theory, it only shows that the Chinese aren’t stupid
February 16, 2010 at 8:40 pm
@ycats – Yes, it is a massive ponzi scheme.

So is social security.
February 16, 2010 at 12:52 pm
It’s not just that, but their junk science has cost so many lives that I think they should be tried and hanged…and all their money given to everyone. The UN needs to be dispelled and all their money given away as well. I am so furious! Yes, I knew it was a hoax—although I am not as smart (swift) as some–but the money trail, watching Lord Monckton and then Climategate put the nail in the coffin for me.
Now all of this? And no MSM support? It’s beyond time we all rose up and demanded accountability from these horrid, horrid murderers and con-artists as well as their co-conspirators.
Did I mention that I am angry?
February 16, 2010 at 2:35 pm
Why would you expect anything different from the wonderful people who brought you the Food-for-Oil Scam? This is what they DO.
Oh, and praise God for Lord Monckton. THERE’S a Nobel Peace Prize winner if I ever saw one. (Think we could get Al Gore’s and just give it to Monckton?)
February 16, 2010 at 2:43 pm
Sure. Right after they debate… oh, wait…
February 16, 2010 at 8:42 pm
So true – Lord Monckton is one real deal hero. As are those angels – whoever they are – that hacked into the EAU and released those emails. Seriously. They are angels. Saved us from the biggest global fraud in history.
February 16, 2010 at 11:51 pm
It wasn’t hacked, it was leaked. I firmly believe it was someone in UEA who couldn’t stand the lies any longer. I hope he’s covered his tracks really, really well, because there are a lot of people who’d gladly go to prison or even the death penalty because the Climategate leak started the fall of Anthropogenic Global Warming, er, Climate Change, er, oh, well, whatever they’re calling it this week.
February 17, 2010 at 3:00 am
with all of the comments being made by Phil Jones all of a sudden, I wonder if he was the one who did the leaking….. I know it is next to impossible, but just throwing it out there.
February 16, 2010 at 1:08 pm
The people are starting to wake up but, like the rest of the story, it isn’t being reported. I’d noticed that first the Simpsons at one point this year had Homer ridiculing Lisa at the beginning of the episode “Oh honey, I’d love to play with you, but Daddy has to go shovel ten inches of Global Warming off the driveway!”
Then, about a little over a week ago, in the middle of the blizzard (first round), one of the weather guys on the local NBC (!) affiliate made some snarky comment about Global Warming and the (literal) tons of snow falling in the area.
After this winter, I think most people in the DC-Baltimore area will be done with AGW. Global warming is a joke in my office (loaded with dems and other assorted lefties– not what you’d expect for military, but standard for the area, sadly). But the TV-people in general refuse to admit there’s anything going on. But everyone knows. . . Especially since we’ll have global warming on the ground probably till Easter.
Or, so it seems from my perspective. Could be wrong, though. . .
February 16, 2010 at 2:32 pm
Yes, the odds of Global Warming Ice & Snow in June are very high this year!
February 16, 2010 at 2:37 pm
Did you see the lady yesterday (don’t know her name) who said with a straight face:
“Weather is not the same as climate.” Then they asked her something about climate, and she starts with,
“Wild fires and hurricanes and tornadoes are all evidence that the climate is warming…”
Well, which is it, lady?
February 16, 2010 at 7:39 pm
Oh yes…I remember about a year ago the media was advised to stop calling it global warming and start calling “climate change”. And that’s their mantra now. They won’t report anything that disagrees with their old science because it is their faith – their religion now. It would be heresy.
The whole blasted thing was a UN scheme to collect monies from world governments for their corrupt projects. Obama and the left tries to sell it as a “jobs” effort in trying to pass legislation taxing people and fining businesses for their use of energy.
The arrogance of “man” to think they can stop climate changes caused by sun spots and other natural causes with their maneuvering of monies around the world, and turning off the lights when you leave the room is astounding. We can’t stop anything nature throws at us. To think we can is the height of egotistical pride. And we all know what they say about pride goeth-ing before the fall.
February 16, 2010 at 8:45 pm
Totally agree that it is so weird and arrogant for all these people running around thinking they can control the climate. A truly bizarre and insane breed of arrogance. Or perhaps it’s just the sanctimony that accompanies it.
February 17, 2010 at 12:14 am
Let’s give the lady the benefit of the doubt and assume that “wild fires and hurricanes, and tornadoes are all evidence that the climate is warming”. I have lived most of my life in an area of the country where there are frequent tornadoes. Fortunately I’ve never been in one but they have hit friends and neighbors homes. It’s been a fact of life for generations in the part of the country where I live, aka “The Land of Oz”. So if this lady is correct even just about “tornadoes”, we must have been in global warming now for quite a long time and yet amazingly we’re still here. People still live their lives, raise their families, and rebuild, yes “rebuild” after these violent storms. In fact they’ve been doing this for generations so if, in fact tornadoes are a sign of “global warming”, I think we can and will survive “global warming” because that’s what we have been doing now for a long time out here in Kansas.
February 17, 2010 at 3:06 am
Hey I live in bush fire country. I have never been totally affected by them… yet they are devastating.
The thing is, last year we had very high temperatures in early February and as a result we ended up having a very deadly bush fire with close to 100 lives lost.
Some idiotic people claimed that this was evidence of global warming. However, it was not true, and never could be true because the extreme temperatures reached in Melbourne and Adelaide in 2009 were also experienced in 1959 and 1939. It comes and goes in cycles. This is what they constantly ignore.
February 16, 2010 at 1:13 pm
I never fell for it. My father was a petroleum geologist with one of those EVIL oil companies. He said “everything is cyclical”. Yeah, Al Gore would say “What does some geologist with EVIl oil know about global warming?” And I’d say “Al, his degrees in the geosciences are from OU and Stanford. Where are YOURS from?”. STOOPID manbearpig. GAH!!!
February 16, 2010 at 3:12 pm
Also, the evil Big Oil is apparently funding a lot of the pro-warming research and groups and they’re very interested in the carbon credits game.
Al does need to protect his financial interests, though, so he’ll say what needs to be said.
February 16, 2010 at 3:25 pm
Sounds like dozens of ENRONs in the making!
February 16, 2010 at 5:01 pm
Al took a grand total of 2 – count ‘em 2 – science courses in college, for which he received grades of C and D+. Yeah, that’s someone the MSM should be consulting as an expert on “climate science”….
February 16, 2010 at 5:50 pm
EXACTLY! I don’t know how deep “in” some of Big Oil companies are, but did see today ConocoPhillips and BP were suspending their membership in one of the AGW societies until further investigations were made. Also the minute they changed it from “Global Warming” to “Climate Change” you had to know something was up.
February 16, 2010 at 11:54 pm
And that esteemed climate scientist from India who heads the IPCC has his degrees in engineering, railway engineering. I can hardly wait to see him railroaded out on a rail (puns intended).
February 17, 2010 at 3:08 am
Pachauri got his doctorate in economics!!! Shock horror, how could it be?
February 16, 2010 at 8:48 pm
I would think that a lot of Big Oil companies invested in global warming research simply for PR, to mitigate the constant stream of attacks directed at them.
And they were probably trying to figure out how to get in the game b/c they knew govt was going to try their damndest to crush them or make them state-owned.
February 16, 2010 at 1:17 pm
Well, now I’m hearing “Weather CHANGE” is our fault. IOW< the blizzards, we caused them too.
February 16, 2010 at 2:38 pm
Climate change. They tried, but I think they were too late.
February 16, 2010 at 4:26 pm
There were never blizzards ‘this bad before’…
@@
Seriously, they’re idiots.
February 16, 2010 at 6:58 pm
They obviously never read about the winter of 1886 in ‘Little House on the Prairie’.
February 16, 2010 at 9:00 pm
It really is truly truly truly insane – do these idiots think that for all 4.5 billion years of earth, weather was just calm, placid, pleasant and lovely? That the dinosaurs were sitting by the beach – where the water levels never changed!- all year in bikinis drinking daiquiris b/c we evil humans hadn’t come and messed up weather yet?!
This is what always bothered me about global warming, since it came on my radar 8 or so years ago – I never once – NOT ONCE! – read an article that contextualized the temperature change claims and said anything about the fact that the earth had frozen itself and unfrozen itself twice loooong before humans showed up. And to think SO MANY people just immediately believed this crap w/o gut checking it or asking questions.
I really really hope we as a nation and a people learn a ton from the scam that is global warming, and forever remain rightly suspect of large-scale “crises” that make broad generalizations, particularly when they have “solutions” that require our tax dollars.
Perhaps the real tragedy – since, THANK GOD, the tragedy didn’t end up being some global tax-and-cheat scam – is that I just don’t know if I’ll ever be able to trust scientists again. I sure as hell will NEVER trust scientists affiliated w/ the govt or the UN, that’s for damn sure. These corrupt, fraudulent scientists tarnished every last scientist, including the good honest ones. And on the way, they ruined the careers of so many brave scientists who tried for years to sound the alarm, going so far as to call for trials for these “Holocaus deniers.” Total and complete madness. I really hope there’s a nice place in hell for these people.
February 16, 2010 at 9:00 pm
Oops, sorry for misspelling of Holocaust.
February 17, 2010 at 3:11 am
sure!!! Like the blizzard in Fairborn Ohio back in 1985 when we were there…. of course it was our fault…. the weather was turned on so that those silly Australians could get a full on experience…. of a record cold day…. followed by a blizzard… and a mini tornado thrown in for good measure….. ROFL…. I have never experienced anything like it before or after my time in Ohio …… :)
February 16, 2010 at 1:20 pm
“We don’t see how either Democrats or the MSM get out of this intact.”
I hope to G*D that you are right about this. The money alone that has gotten into the hands of these Creeps is amazing. Over 1 million a year for 20yrs or so!! The UN needs to go. The anti-American and money grubbing slimebag members are there only to destroy America and to push for International Governing Boards that will set our Constitution on it’s head and render it useless to us the People. Maybe Obama will get rid of it first so why worry? I am so sick of the ProgDimleftists that I could scream. It is somewhat enlightening that those on the left are the ones that Believe in Globull Warming. They are supposed to be sooooo smart and we are sooooo dumb as to not see that it is proven Science that GloBull Warming exists and all the pretty Polar Bears are going to die.
February 16, 2010 at 3:17 pm
Um, I hate to tell you this, but it’s a bit more than that. Pro AGW outspent Skeptic AGW by over 3,000 to one, just in the US.
http://joannenova.com.au/2009/07/massive-climate-funding-exposed/
Add in the rest of the world’s funding, the carbon trading taxes and scams, and…
February 16, 2010 at 6:43 pm
greg2213,
I’m sure that millions upon millions has been wasted on this hoax. I was refuring to just the UN’s portion of this rip off. Just think how much better it would have been if all this money was still in the hands of the people that actually earned it.
February 16, 2010 at 7:58 pm
Absolutely. Or if it had been spent on getting people to Mars. It’s pretty amazing how much space research boosts the economy.
Right now though… I think I’d cut 99% of all climate research, and a whole lotta other things, to get this economy running.
February 16, 2010 at 1:29 pm
Like the Goracle’s imaginary icebergs, the whole GW farce is melting before our eyes.
Just today it was announced that Conoco Phillips and BP America are pulling out of USCAP (US Climate Action Partnership), the touchy-feely environmental group that was formed to push Cap and Tax.
This. Is. Huge.
Buh-bye, Cap & Tax! Buh-bye, Gorebot! Buh-bye, Dr. Utopia!
February 16, 2010 at 6:07 pm
Excellent!
February 16, 2010 at 9:05 pm
That’s AWESOME. Thank the Lord.
February 16, 2010 at 1:32 pm
Ah yes. The munchkins have stumbled upon the curtain room of the wizard, and are whispering amongst themselves, “oh my, what does this mean?”.
What does this mean indeed.
February 16, 2010 at 1:41 pm
This article is so good I HOPE you will disseminate it far and wide to all kinds of media outlets. It is so well written and to the point, (fix one little typo before doing so), it should be spread far beyond this site, and perhaps prosecuting Gore and others for this fraud can become a reality. How about a petition for him to return the Nobel Peace Prize? Maybe it would send a message for Norway to STOP with their idiotic desecration of what could otherwise be a great and meaningful prize.
February 16, 2010 at 1:44 pm
i’m with Trump on this..return the damn “prize”!
February 16, 2010 at 2:35 pm
While we are at it, another petition to force HObama to return his un-earned No-Ball Putz Prize too!

AND the money that’s sitting in some unnamed vault waiting for him to leave office so he can take it scot free.

doesnt he get it?

February 16, 2010 at 3:55 pm
Maybe it will sink faster if we can get Obama to endore AGW.
I mean the GOP has already caught on to what Obama’s approval means in the real world.
“GOP: Please, Mr President, campaign in my state!
Right on the heels of Dem congresmen asking Obama to stay away from their campaigns comes the other side of the indignity:
GOP hopes to see him on stump
Local Republicans are salivating at the prospect of Mr. Obama dropping into town to campaign for their opponents.
and Dem strategists can’t argue with that
Even Democratic strategists say a visit by the president – whose poll numbers have plummeted since taking office – carries risks for his fellow Democrats.
“It’s definitely a gamble,” said Democratic strategist Liz Chadderdon. “A handshake that raises $1 million now could cost them the election later.”….

I love that the hoax is finally coming to full light.
The MSM is not going to be able to ignore this for much longer without showing themselves to be the complete fools that they are.
February 16, 2010 at 1:50 pm
So you think that cuz there was a record snowfalls this winter that it must be that global warming is a hoax. However, global warming is exactly that: extremes.
February 16, 2010 at 3:33 pm
Ok, I’ll feed the troll.
While weather isn’t climate the warming concept, the scientific version, anyway, states that extreme events should become fewer.
Fred Singer, PhD, lots of papers, lots of credentials, is one of the scientists saying this. (He has two books on Amazon, too.)
And the hoax doesn’t refer to the few 10ths either way that the climate may drift. It refers to the Al Gore driven nonsense that is used by the powers that be to cripple our economies.
February 16, 2010 at 3:57 pm
Well maybe’ just maybe– so is your thinking about Global warming in general. Global warming Extremist’s meet reality= it is a HOAX..!
February 16, 2010 at 4:39 pm
Yes! Before global warming, there never ever ever ever extremes in weather! It was consistent day after day, year after year….
/sarcasm…
Read history books please.
February 16, 2010 at 8:04 pm
http://www.co2science.org/ has a ton of stuff on the Medieval warm period, something that the warmists would like to see go away. The MWP kills the AGW concept all by itself.
That site has info on stuff like Viking settlements in the Greenland permafrost and a bunch of stuff that shows the MWP was worldwide.
February 17, 2010 at 3:19 am
Phil Jones from the CRU has now admitted that the Medieval warming period was hotter than it is now.
February 17, 2010 at 3:18 am
Ditto on that comment.
Like I said, Australia is a good example. We had extreme temperatures in 2009 over summer. However, we also had extreme temperatures in 1959 and 1939 and prior to 1939.
Those extremes do not add up to global warming.
Also according to Phil Jones, we have had 15 years of global cooling.
February 16, 2010 at 5:22 pm
…and don’t forget, more CO2 in the air leads to larger crop yields, which leads to more mouths being fed, which leads to less starvation.
Why would you be pro-starvation?
February 16, 2010 at 7:01 pm
Pro-starvation. LMAO! That’s exactly the way.
It’s very funny how the AGW apologists can ignore all the evidence disproving their theory – and not the snows this year, either. Stuff like the FACT that there has been no statistical warming for the past 15 years. Or that Mt. Kilimanjaro isn’t losing it’s glacier because of AGW. Or that the “proof” never existed – either because it was made up or because the thermometer placement was compromised by land use changes or they were just set on top of pavement near machinery space vents. Or, more importantly, that the world has warmed and cooled all by itself for thousands and thousands of years. That the Medieval Warming Period was significantly warmer than it is now – the wine industry in BRITAIN. Or that the Romans used to grow citrus and olives at Hadrian’s Wall during the Roman Warming Period.
Yeah, believe that “scientist” Algore. Buy some carbon credits. Go on, please squander your own wealth on that crap. Just don’t touch mine!
February 16, 2010 at 9:10 pm
HA! Pro-Starvation. Well played, Peter, well played.
Oh we should run with that. Gruthers are pro-starvation! Evil evil evil gruthers, you hate babies and don’t think they should be fed.

I am enjoying every single over turn of every little stone that exposes these leeches for the blood-sucking lying insects they are. Bastards who would happily see 3rd world countries robbed of any ability to lift themselves out of their poverty because that might involve oil or coal.
This is once case where I will say I told you so, I will mock and belittle.

Hi. Look for further stubborness and childishness on the part of the GW true-believers. The ones in charge know and are fighting this to save the bacon (and quite alot of bacon it was) but the rank and file will be fighting to preserve their worldview, their philosophy and in a way their religion. it will be uly and vile. The ones who could be convinced with sound rational data and admissions of lies will be, and the ones who wont will fight to the bitter end, whipped into angry froth by the ones in charge.
Slightly off-topic if I may. I am a new reader and seldome poster. I do not have regular access everyday to a computer so when I do get to read it is way past the sell-by date for the article. :D So I would like to use this to say that the Valentine Day post was perfect, and the one perfect thing I needed to read that day. Funny how that works out, aint it? Thank you.
Oh and one more. All the dems retiring, quitting, not running….how many are involved in the finance committees? Yes some may be prepping for a presidential run, but what if they have news of the next leg of the financial collapes? Id say look to Commercial Real Estate…that is collapsing as well, the mod programs are projected to fail for residential leading to a massive spike in foreclosure and banks are still as rickety as when the bailouts started but even larger….my bet is on a major financial dislocation started by greece or one of the other european countries sovreign default. Can we start a pool? I got a buck on fiinance being the cause:D
If it is frowned on here to post about previous threads, please let me know and I will stop….but i still would have said thank you for the V-day post.

Welcome rsj.
You may enjoy reading this then.
“9,500 Shuttered Stores In Sacramento Area: ‘Everyone Perfectly Content With Less’”
Before taking a closeup look at Sacramento, please consider a snapshot of commercial real estate in general. MarketWatch is reporting Commercial mortgage failures threaten system: overseer.
Over the next few years, a wave of commercial real-estate loan failures could threaten America’s financial system, and in the worst case scenario, hundreds of additional community and midsize banks could face insolvency, a congressional watchdog group said Thursday.
According to a report by the Congressional Oversight Panel, a watchdog group for a $700 billion bank-bailout package, about $1.4 trillion in commercial real-estate loans will reach the end of their terms between 2010 and 2014, of which nearly half are now under water (that is, the borrower owes more than the underlying property is currently worth).
The report added that losses from commercial loans could range as high as $200 billion to $300 billion.
As a result, it said, banks that suffer from the losses or are discouraged by the economic future could become even more reluctant to lend, which could reduce access to credit for more businesses and families, accelerating a negative economic cycle.
“The Congressional Oversight Panel is deeply concerned that commercial loan losses could jeopardize the stability of many banks, particularly the nation’s midsize and smaller banks, and that as the damage spreads beyond individual banks, that it will contribute to prolonged weakness throughout the economy,” said the report, which was approved unanimously by the five-member COP.

Ah Mish! When I manage to get online i ususally tool on over and read him. I also read Calculatedrisk.
There were noises being made by some congresscritters about creating a bailout for CRE…finance is toast! I think it has finally hit these people how toasty it really is and they are doing the rat/fleeing ship routine.
February 16, 2010 at 4:29 pm
I was predicting that six months ago, waiting for the bottom to fall out of the commercial real estate market.
Heard noises in the media in the past few weeks about bailing them out.
DO NOT STAND FOR IT.
No more bailouts.
February 16, 2010 at 5:10 pm
If the gov’t would just leave all of them alone, they could sort themselves out – let the ones that have been acting responsibly continue to operate (because they’ll be the ones with money), and let the other ones fail (which is what should have been happening all along). It’s the only way to ensure sound business practice.
If the community organizers hadn’t interfered in the first place, we probably wouldn’t have had so much trouble – not everyone can afford to buy a house, and if they don’t have a good credit record, they certainly shouldn’t qualify for any large loans!

I am from Australia. At the moment we are doing fine… yet where I live businesses are continuing to close down.
I have been watching the situation ever since the boyz first raised the issue regarding the number of businesses that are folding.
I personally think that there will be a second bubble bursting… which will be the commercial real estate bubble.
I believe that what we have is a period of stagflation. That is high unemployment and high inflation at the same time (it is a little more involved than that). We had the same thing happen in the 1970s. What made it worse was the expansionary policies of Govt. In my country that coincided with the wild spending spree of the Whitlam govt, and in your country it coincided with both LBJ and then Jimmy Carter’s spending policies. In reviewing this period I am looking more critically at the Australian experience.

Welcome, RSJ! Totally ok to go off topic in the threads. And the Valentine’s Day post was really lovely.

“The trouble with our liberal friends isn’t that they are ignorant; it is that they know so much that isn’t so.”
- President Ronald Reagan
February 16, 2010 at 2:08 pm
Excellent article as usual. Also, let’s not forget Oprah’s role in pushing this scam. She had Gore on her show a couple of times to help him move his agenda. I have yet to hear her own up to her part in this. I also would like to see Gore prosecuted. If anyone saw his documentary, the icebergs that were shown melting and breaking apart were taken from the movie; Day After Tomorrow, which were DIGITIZED. Gore somehow forgot to mention that while he was pushing his global scam on everyone. He needs to be tarred and feathered.

The collapse of AGW will have a major impact on our Universities and Public Schools. The teachers were taught that it was “real” and they have taught this to a whole generation of school kids. Once it is exposed as a fraud, it will be interesting to see how the teachers and schools handle this “revelation”.
February 16, 2010 at 2:42 pm
My daughter is in 8th grade at a Catholic school. At the beginning of the year, she was very pro-AGW. But then I started telling her and challenging her about things, like if it’s Global WARMING, why are we having more snow this year than before? Then she started seeing it too. Now she makes fun of the GW crowd. Now that’s what I call progress!
February 16, 2010 at 4:35 pm
Good for you! This is very important. The enviroradicals have been brainwashing children for some time now. It’s vitally important that we set the kids straight, expose the lies they have been told and most importantly, teach them the despicable nature of these cretins, why and how they do the dishonest things they do and the potential harm all of these policies do. The perfect teaching tool is the DDT saga starting with the “Silent Spring” and how, for no good reason, hundreds of thousands of third world poor have died needlessly of malaria. It will change their minds once the sparkly unicorns and newspaper taxis are cleared away.
February 16, 2010 at 5:14 pm
My daughter is a freshman at a traditionally conservative university, yet in her ecology class, the instructor was going on and on about global warming causing species to die out (and here all this time I thought it had something to do with an inability to adapt….).
My daughter knows better – cuz her momma done raised her right! – but she isn’t willing to challenge the teacher in class (where did I go wrong?).
If someone doesn’t call these folks on this at the local level, it’s going to continue to be taught for a few more years.
February 16, 2010 at 7:58 pm
Both of my kids concluded that arguing with teachers in college was like arguing with your boss: the risk/reward calculation doesn’t support it. Too many profs just want to be “the sage on the stage” (though they would vehemently deny it) and do not give high grades to those who challenge them.
February 16, 2010 at 9:20 pm
No, species didn’t go extinct until we evil humans showed up and ruined the party.
HA!
Teresa – you went wrong nowhere! I would guess your daughter is not speaking up b/c and only b/c she is a freshman. I recall feeling so out of sorts and insecure during my freshman year. It wasn’t until my junior year, really, that I felt comfortable speaking in class. So perhaps she, like me, is just a bit shy! So long as she’s thinking on her own – which it sounds like she is – she’s in great shape, and will never lose that.
February 16, 2010 at 9:22 pm
They had no problem declassifying Pluto as a planet. They’ll get over it just fine.
February 16, 2010 at 3:04 pm
I will be willing to bet that the way they handle it does not include anything like admitting they were wrong, or teaching logic or rational thought.
I am wondering how much it will be a story along the lines of “well, we almost saved the planet and the polar bear but the wicked repugs rose up out of hell and went to war with the hero Gore and tore him down…now we weep for the future loss of ice, water, polar bears and the ocean front property my mother will leave me when she dies…”
February 16, 2010 at 2:14 pm
What you write is succinct and to the point. Thank you – it is winging it’s way through cyber space (thank you Al Gore) to many in my address book. Part of the problem I’ve had is keeping all the proof together. It seems like something new comes out every day.
I have told my 2 children since they were in High School that Global Warming was a political ploy used to convince people that the US is bad and only they (Gore et al) can change it. At that time I was accused by my kids of being a right wing nut. Now they are adult, on their own, one with a family of his own, and beginning to see that there are things that are concocted specifically to take their money – and AGW is one of them. Although – I will say that they are still very hesitant to say it was a hoax.
If Martha Stewart can go to prison for $40K, then Al Gore, Phil Jones and whomever else is involved in this should have criminal charges levied against them. We are talking billions of dollars. Follow the money. Al Gore would be the first cap and trade billionaire because of his investments. If he were to somehow magically surface to explain his side – he would tell you that of course he would invest in things he believes in. But when you can control an entire WORLD and convince them you are right with no concrete data and intentionally manipulate data, and you profit – it’s a crime – not just a happy coincidence. Can you tell this makes me furious???
Church of AGW – exactly – AGW has gone beyond science to a religion. Believers in AGW no longer require proof that it exists – they simply have faith that it exists. This is going to make it a hard nut to crack. But I think we’re finding that each day the nut cracks more and more.
I read that the BBC refuses to report anything but pro-AGW news. This is because they have billions of their pension fund invested in climate change industries. They stand to go bankrupt when it all is laid on the table. Maybe they will be the first to sue Al Gore and Phil Jones.
I think we first need to put pressure on the media to call Gore out of hiding. Let’s see him explain what’s going on. He did a piss-pour job of explaining away the leaked email.
Will my dream of seeing the day that Al Gore is handcuffed and led away come to reality, or is it just enough to see his world topple around him.
February 16, 2010 at 2:47 pm
Isn’t it about time we had the death penalty for high-dollar economic crimes?
February 16, 2010 at 6:19 pm
I sure think so!
February 16, 2010 at 4:46 pm
“Will my dream of seeing the day that Al Gore is handcuffed and led away come to reality, or is it just enough to see his world topple around him.”
KJA – We have the same dream!!! It could actually happen!!!

Give credit where credit is due–BBC has been on top of it as has The Times of London.
February 16, 2010 at 8:00 pm
Plus the Daily Telegraph and even the leftist Guardian. UK journalists and newspapers have done the world a great service.
February 17, 2010 at 12:54 am
The Guardian???
February 17, 2010 at 3:34 am
Yes, the Guardian has been leading the way when the BBC would not touch the subject of Climategate, the Guardian had two journalists who were blogging away and exposing everything. Delingpole has done a magnificent job.

Rush is talking about this right now.

“We don’t see how either Democrats or the MSM get out of this intact.”
They won’t, which is why it isn’t being reported, and why it won’t be reported.
Too bad, though, about all those pesky blogs that actually inform people …

Like a good steel belted radial on a big, safe, gas guzzling SUV…the crash of AGW is getting traction.
Where to begin? Lord Monckton (the Science advisor to the former British Prime Minister, Lady Thatcher) who made it his life mission to come here, across the pond, to the US and speak to college assemblies (those small, brave institutions that would have him–think NCAA D-2 schools and NAIA colleges–the ‘Names’ wouldn’t ‘touch him’); and then there was that conscientitious whistle blower (or Russian hacker…but what is the diff?) who released the telling emails from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University; or the ‘sloppy record keeping’ of Dr. Phil Jones (the dog ate my thesis); or Dr. Michael Mann’s propensity for ‘hockey sticks;’ or all of the goofy histrionic analogies made by IPCC and their trully creepy UN paid ‘leader’ Dr. Rajendra Pachuari (who writes steamy bodice rippers in addition to end of the world scenarios…’I got your global warming right here!’). Throw in the idiot notsoNobel Laureate Algore, his acolytes, the ‘Gorethers’ and the eager to regurgitate anything handed to them US media…along with the Svengali like manipulations of our government by George Soros…and you have the STORY OF THE CENTURY…
Only reported by the British Press. No ‘investigative journalists’ in the US. The Brits (G-d save the Queen!) have done all the heavy lifting. Every story ‘break’ has been in Britain (even the ones involving Michael Mann and Penn State University…which I am sure the average British citizen couldn’t find on a map).
And that is why…the blogosphere and ‘fringe’ talk radio have ‘cred’ and the lamestream does not.
Bayh, Bayh, Bayh…schooled journalists. Thank Mr. Soros and Dear Leader when you ask that ‘tough question’ at your new job…’paper or plastic?’
February 16, 2010 at 2:44 pm
I always said, “So if it starts getting colder, will they then start telling us we HAVE to drive SUV’s and use our old light bulbs to save the planet and warm it up again?”
And while we’re at it can we go back to our original light bulbs and can that stupid legislation NOW before all the factories for the old ones are gone?
February 16, 2010 at 3:26 pm
Oh, please, please, please don’t make me put those squiggle light bulbs in my chandeliers.
February 16, 2010 at 4:34 pm
I threw 5 away before I knew you can’t. I can’t SEE with them and don’t feel good. You have to turn them in to your electric company–no trashing them. If one is broken there they have to call in Hazmat cleanup. My grandaughter works at our electric co and told me–if one gets broken on a rug they (Hazmat) has to take the rugs up and dispose of them.–They demand we put them in our houses? Where is the Enviromental Protection Agency now? They probably have money in sqiggly light bulbs.
February 16, 2010 at 5:17 pm
It’s because they have so much mercury in them….
February 16, 2010 at 5:28 pm
My buddy and I have been joking around about going out and buying up huge amounts of incandescant light bulbs and then setting up a web site for Europeans to purchase them.
They are phasing out incandescants by 2012. They will miss them by 2012 + 3 days…
February 16, 2010 at 6:55 pm
Hubby’s been hoarding for years now, we should have enough for the rest of our lifes.
February 16, 2010 at 7:17 pm
It is actually hard to find the chandelier bulbs now.
February 16, 2010 at 2:24 pm
Tell me again how these whack job professors in these publically funded universities, such as The Pennsylvania State University, get away with deliberately promoting false data with no more than a shrug? And tell me, where do they think the America haters intend to rest their heads at night if not for this country, that they drive down every chance they get?

Without publishing too much info on the web…I have been writing and forwarding information that I find on the web (again from British media sources!) to Pa. State Senator Jeffrey Piccola (R) who is the Chairman of the PA Senate Education Oversight Committee. The Committee that controls the purse strings (in terms of PA tax dollars) for Pennsylvania ‘state’ schools (PSU is one).
To date, I have gotten ‘thank you for your interest’ type letters back.
I had thought, given the ‘local’ connection, that some PA ‘journalist’ (print or television) would at least try to interview the elusive Dr. Mann…but to date…I have seen NO statewide story about the PSU duplicity. Pity. This is the same media that will ‘breaking’ stories on Punxatawney Phil though…

Try Dom Giordano at WPHT-AM 1210 in Philadelphia.

You might give this old standby the “college” try: “Hey a**hole!”
February 16, 2010 at 2:25 pm
And here’s an idea – (sorry but this AGW stuff makes me crazy.)
Someone needs to get Hillary out of the SOS position and on board with exposing the whole AGW scam and how it is a “false god” and destructive to our country. This could be one of the only ways the Democratic Party could come out of this alive. They need someone to be the Anti-Gore. And this person needs to have enough pull in the media to get them to start doing serious investigative reporting on this. Hillary. I’m a conservative-independent for the most part – but I’d love to see her take this on. I believe she is one of the few that some of the AGW-lost would listen to and she would give the state-run media a way to save face – while beginning to report the real news. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think the media still has enough respect for her that some would think about changing their ways.
February 16, 2010 at 2:31 pm
Awesome post HILLBUZZ”
Yeah’ these crook’s all need to be prosecuted and now. Watching Al Gore taken away in hand cuff’s “shameful” Just thinking about the “HUGH amount’s of money” that have been milked out of this global warming scam? Un-real isn’t it?
These “tree hug-gin lib-hole environmentalists” have been scheming and using everything and all means to suck money from us hard working, TAX paying Americans for well over two decades now.
I hope this go’s viral and this lib-hole environmental Pandora’s box is blown wide open for the whole world to see. They make me ill’ and I hope too’ they all “RAT EACH OTHER OUT” starting with GORE,,,and singing like canary’s..”
February 16, 2010 at 2:55 pm
Try living in Canada, where the state run media still talk about global warming as if it is fact written in stone. Still have creepy looking David Suzuki (man of one home and 2 vacation homes) telling us we are all doomed due to AGW. Even in casual on-air discussions we hear references to ice-melt etc….this when we are all freezing our arses off in a colder than average winter.
February 17, 2010 at 3:37 am
and people just cannot comprehend that in Canada it is possible to have 90F heat and the glaciers do not melt…. I have the pictures to prove my point… but hey in summer the glaciers do melt a bit, they just do not go away :-)
February 16, 2010 at 3:00 pm
The AGW folks keep using the argument that global warming causes more moisture in the air, which when the air cools causes lots more snowfall. That may be true for areas that are normally that cold in the winter, but it does NOT explain why the snow line has moved so far south from the artic circle. It’s lower than it’s been in decades.
It is a cycle. But, my kids here in sunny Alabama are sure enjoying their first real snow in their lifetimes.
February 16, 2010 at 8:28 pm
i have not had snow cream in 12 years—mmmmummmm goood!!! here in sunny alabama where it is 28 degrees right now and a high for tomorrow of 33 LOL
February 16, 2010 at 3:07 pm
I’m a graduate Marine Zoologist, IU ’68. We studied climate change 40+ years ago.
Yes, the climate is changing. No, it has nothing to do with Man. It’s a cycle, within a cycle, within a cycle, within a cycle. It has been studied since the 1800s…see:
Milutin Milanković (best known for his theory of ice ages, relating variations of the Earth’s orbit and long-term climate change, now known as Milankovitch cycles.) came up with the first valid theory of climate cycles over 90 years ago.
When I was a kid, the ice age was soon to be upon us…but that wasn’t going to make them much money.
Voila! AWG.
February 16, 2010 at 3:43 pm
About those cycles… they cause media cycles, too. First there was warming, then, cooling, then the warming of the 30s & 40s, then cooling, then the current warming scam. Some of those are documented here: http://www.businessandmedia.org/specialreports/2006/fireandice/FireandIce.pdf
This is why some of us predict that things will morph into a cooling scam in a few years. Said scam will still require massive Gov intervention.
February 16, 2010 at 4:12 pm
Well Greg’ we can “only hope” to “stop-it” from morphing into the “next scam” for cooling..?
February 16, 2010 at 4:08 pm
My mom is 70.. she was just telling me when she was in school.. they were telling them they are all going to be in an ice age..
February 16, 2010 at 8:07 pm
I did a post (shameless plug) that included some of those articles on the coming ice age, here: http://wp.me/pLhFT-A
February 17, 2010 at 3:41 am
hey I remember that in the early 70s they were talking about the same thing. It was global cooling back in the early 70s and yes where I live I did notice the difference in the summer. However, I realized that it was something that comes and goes in cycles.
February 16, 2010 at 6:08 pm
The worst hurricane/natural disaster in US history was the Great Storm that hit Galveston in 1900, long before cars and industry….
February 16, 2010 at 7:20 pm
There were cars in 1900 and the railroads had been burning a lot of wood and coal for 50+ years before that.
February 17, 2010 at 7:02 am
There were less than 5000 cars (and NO trucks) in 1900. According to World Book (and Wiki) there were about 165 mil people. Yes, trains had been running for 50 years on STEAM. Green houses gasses in water now?
February 17, 2010 at 7:05 am
Man has been burning wood since time began. Mother Nature can adapt and handle it.

But sad to hear her say “I’m proud to support Barack Obama. And I will continue to support Barack Obama.” :(
February 16, 2010 at 10:20 pm
No Hillary!!!!!!!
Sadly, when I hear statements like this, I am convinced she will not be able to become president.
She is too tied to this adminis. at this point.
I wish she would just quit, like evan byah did and start going after that cheating fraud.

I want to read this whole thread but I’m supposed to be working…but in case no one has mentioned this yet…they may not be able to take his Nobel Prize away but the guys at Pollywood on PJTV are trying to get Gore to defend his Oscar and really think it should be taken away. Not really because it’s being proved to be untrue, but because it was a horribly made documentary that used CGI footage from a fiction movie to show the ice caps melting. Here it is….

It used to be called weather.
February 16, 2010 at 6:10 pm
It still is–here in Texas anyway.
February 16, 2010 at 8:49 pm
And from personal experience (being in Texas), if you don’t like whatever weather it happens to be at the moment, wait five minutes, it will change!
February 17, 2010 at 1:04 am
Same saying is often used in Minnesota, ND, SD and Montana I know for sure….so do you think maybe (maybe?) changes in weather have been around for a long time…of course they have as everyone’s been noting.
What a pleasure it is to be part of this giant awakening of These United States. The libs and statists have never had to face a bunch of riled-up, won’t be shut-up, full of common sense citizens….we have our work cut out for us, but we’ve made a good start.
Did you see/hear Algore’s press release yesterday, bleating that “it (GW) is worse than we thought!!!…..really,….really….really, it is.
What a jerk. Vile, deceiving, destructive jerk.
We can’t get everything done at once, but I surely do hope that somewhere in the mix of the next few years, SOMETHING is doing about taking the teachers’ unions out of action, and getting rid of the Department of Education (now there’s an oxymoron).
The level of deception that has occurred in the church of gW could only have happened after a failure to educate a couple of generations.
February 16, 2010 at 4:54 pm
Imagine the 100,000′s of thousands of people who have been hurt by this church. Lost jobs, broken families, children in crisis–all so Al Gore can fly in a personal jet and live in an obscenely large house. And all the while traumatizing children and adults. He’s pure scum. As bad as Bernie Madoff every hoped to be. Lots and lots of baaaad karma for Mr. Gore.

What a wonderful idea. Not sure who Dr. Utopia would pick to match up with “Downtown Ayla Brown” (maybe a player from Oregon State, where his brother-in-law coaches), but it would be a great fund-raiser for Haitian relief.
February 16, 2010 at 5:34 pm
I had a discussion on global warming with a retired school teacher. She believed the whole thing (a democrat). I asked her how she explained the whole IL glacier thing to her kids. Clearly, the disappearing glaciers in IL had nothing to do with us driving our SUV’s, or factories. Her response was…”I never thought about that.”
Clearly, the weather/sun is related. I remember the summer following Mt. St. Helen
as being cool.
All you have to do is refer people to this site, and ask them what man did to cause our glaciers to melt!
http://www.museum.state.il.us/exhibits/larson/glacier_maps.html
Now, is there anything wrong with taking care of our world? Of course not! I compost, save all my errand running for one day, recycle, and yes, even used cloth diapers on my twins! (and they thought I was mean because they never got juice boxes or drinks in those plastic bottles) I NEVER agreed with the whole global warming, however. I just saw it as a big money scam.
February 16, 2010 at 6:20 pm
Yes, we should be good stewards of the Earth-I love cloth diapers-I love hanging laundry-in Florida we can do it year round. Alternative energy I like so we can get away from Mid-East crazy price spikes. Innovation should come because it is the right thing to do, cost effective-the market place will sort it out, it should not be based on lies, or a series of lies.
February 16, 2010 at 9:53 pm
I loved cloth diapers too! It was almost Zen-like just sitting and folding a big pile of them after putting the babies to bed (24 years ago! LOL) But I guess there’s evidence out there that says that cloth diapers aren’t eco-friendly either with the energy it takes to clean them. So what are we to do?? LOL
February 16, 2010 at 11:19 pm
I hung my diapers outside to dry when the weather permitted, and also enjoyed folding them. Rather than filling a landfill with diaper bombs, I had old diapers that were wonderful rags years later.
I still can’t believe that I had enough energy to do all that (20 years ago!)
February 17, 2010 at 10:25 am
Something good did come out of paper diapers-when they get into the dumps, they would not burn, due to cellulose in the diaper, so they invented this product which protects houses from fire.

February 16, 2010 at 5:40 pm
There’s a weatherman here in Corrupticut, the tax -u-to-death state of sweetheart deals, who is teaching an adult ed class about the fallacy of global warming. The description of the class is quite telling. All proof that there is no global warming. If he’s teaching it in the heart of the liberal elite area, this theory is being debunked and Al Gore will be seen for the opportunist that he is. Baby steps, but eventually people see the light.
February 16, 2010 at 5:56 pm
I am a registered Democrat, the Dems have been pushing their luck for awhile with Obama and Climagate and all the other crazy things Obama is doing/attempting to do they went so far over the top it is unbelievable. His numbers started tumbling June 30 approx, you would think they could read the handwriting on the wall, No-this group of Dems got even loonier. Obama, Pelosi, Reid I think have an IQ of 3 shared by the 3 of them. It is not possible anyone could be this dumb, or power crazy or anti-American. The DNC deserves to go down they have done a horrible job on this country and the poor innocent citizens in it. I guess they consider us-collateral damage.
February 16, 2010 at 8:10 pm
I don’t think they’re so stupid, I just think they have agendas which are incompatible with those of us who like a small government, freedom, and a functioning economy.

PhillyCon thanks for the shares hadn’t seem them before. Kristi in the 1970′s the crazies were trying to tell the country we were all going to “freeze to death”. The guy that is in the ground floor of AGW was the one and the same person. This time he thought he’d “go for we are all going to “burn to death. The cover of Time mag back then, when they were crying freezing is now recirculating. I’ll have to look the mans name up, (I believe he was a wack job prof.) and what issue of Time his article was printed. It’s just another money scam.

I was in college when the whole “new ice age” scare hit the news.
Time magazine, June 24, 1974: “Another Ice Age?”
Quote: “Whatever the cause of the cooling trend, its effects could be extremely serious, if not catastrophic. Scientists figure that only a 1% decrease in the amount of sunlight hitting the earth’s surface could tip the climatic balance, and cool the planet enough to send it sliding down the road to another ice age within only a few hundred years.”

This is a great article, and pretty astonishing
http://www.forbes.com/2009/12/03/climate-science-gore-intelligent-technology-sutton.html
An excerpt:
“In 2002 I stood in a room of the Smithsonian. One entire wall charted the cooling of our globe over the last 60 million years. This was no straight line. The curve had two steep dips followed by leveling. There were no significant warming periods. Smithsonian scientists inscribed it across some 20 feet of plaster, with timelines.
Last year, I went back. That fresco is painted over. The same curve hides behind smoked glass, shrunk to three feet but showing the same cooling trend. Hey, why should the Smithsonian put its tax-free status at risk? If the politicians decide to whip up public fear in a different direction, get with it, oh ye subsidized servants. Downplay that embarrassing old chart and maybe nobody will notice.
Sorry, I noticed.
It’s the job of elected officials to whip up panic. They then get re-elected. Their supporters fall in line.”

My apologies if someone has already posted this link. But this is a great article on the lack of media coverage in the US.

Actually it was in Catholic School 25 years ago when I first heard of the Green House Effect.

Ok, this really has nothing to do with anything, but I clearly remember two events related to Al Gore, global warming, and myself:
1. When Melissa Etheridge won an Academy Award for best song for some piece of drivel she wrote for “Inconvenient Truth”. I like Melissa Etheridge, but it was the same year as “Dreamgirls” for goodness’ sake; any of the songs nominated were way better than her supposed award winning song.
2. After “Inconvenient Truth” won an Academy Award, among other accolades, I decided to actually watch it to see if it would convince me. After five minutes of opinions, cute anecdotes and NO reference to statistical data, I got angry and turned it off. As an ex-English teacher, I was offended that I had to teach my students how to correctly research and document said research, but this guy could just say things and expect people to believe them. (which of course, they did)
I am highly amused learning that the data was “fixed”, mis-represented, lost, or whatever they’re saying this week. If I was still teaching English, I would use this as a “what not to do” lesson in research.
I do agree that if the MSM would actually do a bit of journalistic legwork, so much would be uncovered that the Dems would be finished.

Great article from the always-brilliant Dr. Zero at Hot Air about this history of radical environmentalism.

All that yap over “Global Warming” and “Climate Change” is just cover for efforts to control people and deprive them of freedom. Who doesn’t want clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and clean land to work and live on? Yet all the focus on global warming wastes resources on NOTHING while communities around the world need clean water supplies as well as good land on which to grow crops and raise livestock. People need clean air to breathe.
But in recent years, the focus has been on this religion of global warming. The cause has become more important than people. It is very sad. How many people have died because resources were diverted from providing a clean environment in which to live to putting Al Gore in a plane so he can travel all over the world and discuss SHIT?!

Speaking of the evil Gore – he has surfaced! Writing on his website – a few days ago, in response to the snow – that climate change “is worse than data from satellite pictures have told us”…Umm…you mean the DOCTORED satellite pics you fudged for your book, you mofo?!!?

This article describes what would happen in my utopia world. People would wake up to see the deceivers for what they are and prosecute them. My study of history from the Old Testament to American History to World History proves that most people will remain blind to the truth until we are in much deeper stinky stuff than we are in now.
