The Gruthers

Here’s a great idea that came in from a reader today: we need to start calling Anthropogenic Global Warming cultists “Gruthers”, to lampoon them in a way that regular Americans can understand and parrot.
We’ve tried a few variations on the concept of “Global Warming Truthers”, including “Gwruthers”, but that’s unpronounceable in English.
“Gruthers” has a nice ring to it.
It’s imperative to collectively make these cultists look as insane as they truly are…especially since the MSM is refusing to cover the complete collapse of the Church of Anthropogenic Global Warming and the fall from grace of the “Gore-acle”, their great balding prophet.
Gruther.
Gruther.
Gruther.
A new portmanteau for these loons, that rolls off the tongue and can be used to mock and ridicule them.
Remember, that is ALWAYS the key to defeating fascists, and something the Left fears more than anything because it is using their own weapons against them.

With Gorther, the whole cult can rest squarely on Gore himself, so bringing him down means bringing the whole AGW Church down with him, which is a convenient use of a figurehead.
Question: Has anyone read the book "Rendezvous with Destiny"?
In this radio piece, done for Sarah Palin’s birthday, the hosts in Alaska bring up the book “Rendezvous with Destiny”, which is about Ronald Reagan’s 1980 run for the presidency.
Has anyone read it?
The hosts talk about all the similarities between now and then, and between Palin and Reagan at this point.
They also talk about how stupid the MSM is…and how easily Palin gets under their skin. She jokes about writing things on her hand that she wants the press to talk about, and how they just fall for whatever she sets them up for. The woman plays those Leftists like a harp. It’s wonderful.
Palin also talks about going to Daytona for NASCAR, mentions Piper’s in the play “Annie”, and that Todd is getting ready for the Iron Dog race (February 19th).
We’re really curious to read “Rendezvous with Destiny” now…and realized that the whole time we were listening to this radio clip, we were smiling wide and hanging on every word the Governor said.
2012 can’t get here soon enough folks. 32 years after Reagan beat Carter, history looks set to repeat itself.

Does anyone have the scoop on when Todd Palin’s going to be racing in the snowmachine race in Alaska this year?
We remember the race being around this time last year, and we want to track his progress and root for him again.
Because we want to root for the future First Dude.
Not because like 80% of his fellow snowmachine racers are stone cold Arctic foxes…kind of like him. If all grandpas looked like him, well, we guess there’d be a lot more super happy grandmas. Seriously, that’s part of why the Left, and the gays in Boystown have such an irrational hatred of Sarah Palin: they are jealous of the brawny hunk of Alaskan He-Man she gets to come home to every night. AND he’s a bigger feminist than any guy on the Left. AND he seems like one of the best dads ever. AND did we mention he’s a stone cold fox. ’Cause he is.
Can’t wait to have him tearing up the White House lawn starting in 2013, plowing right through that plot of dirt where the current First Lady claims she’s growing organic vegetables (but keeps having to import Whole Foods produce as ringers for photo shoots), slicing through wilted, frozen arugula remnants at 80 miles an hour with a booming YEEEE-HA! echoing all the way down to the Washington Monument.

Another new job approval low for the man who promised to ride into Washington on a unicorn, fix every problem, create world peace by giving speeches, heal our broken souls, lower the oceans, mend the hole in the ozone, and find Amelia Earhart, still alive, and nurse her back to health. Or something like that.

Our Mission in 2010: To Thank George W. and Laura Bush In Person
Yesterday, when we heard George W. and Laura Bush called Chelsea Clinton immediately upon learning President Clinton was taken to the hospital, to express their concern and see if there is anything they could do to help, we were reminded of what good people the Bushes are.
It reminded us we have never had the chance to thank them in person for all they continue to do for this country — and to tell them to their faces how wrong we were about them for so many years.
We’ve talked about this a few times, since Bush left office, and have told you one of our hopes was to thank the Bushes in person some day.
It’s important for us to do this…and Clinton’s trip to the hospital yesterday reminds us that none of us have an unlimited number of days to do everything we want and need to do.
So, we’re going to make it our mission to find a speech, event, or other gathering where the Bushes will be for at least one of us to represent HillBuzz and express our gratitude to the former President and First Lady.
We don’t know how we’ll manage this. We don’t know where it will take place. But, it’s going to happen in 2010 if we put our minds to it. It might be an interesting adventure to chronicle, too, as we don’t have any connections in the Bushverse and Bush doesn’t make appearances here in Chicago. It might mean a short trip to Texas to make this happen. But, we think it’s an important thing to do. Somehow, through six degrees or less of separation, we can find a way.
Let’s see if we can make it happen.
Question: What do you think America should be, and what sort of government should we have?
We’d like you to do us a favor and sit down and seriously consider this question — without any snark, no stabs at humor. Instead, we want you to be serious and really think about what you think America should be, what it is at its heart, and what sort of government — and leaders in Washington — should we have?
We think something is happening across this country the MSM has no clue about. We’re trying to understand it ourselves, to be honest.
It seems almost everyone we know is questioning a lot of what they were raised with, especially on the Democrat side of the fence. We’re living proof Democrats exist who have turned on the DNC, no longer trust the party, and are actively working against Democrats in office because the party we’ve been a part of our whole lives has been hijacked by Leftists and is hellbent on pushing an agenda that’s at odds with what most Americans want for this country.
We remember, through the years, various people asking us what we thought Democrats stood for, what we thought Republicans stood for, and what were the differences between the two parties.
At this point in time, we think that’s an unproductive exercise…and time’s better spent thinking about what we WANT from our government and WHO we think those leaders should be, based on who best represents what we think is best for the nation. Then, after considering all this, we need to pick the person running in a race who best identifies with our core beliefs, whether there is a D or an R next to that person’s name.
So, here’s the start of a list we came up with in a little brainstorming session tonight over a little Pie Hole Miss Foozie (Hawaiian) pizza and some cherry wheat Sam Adams (the perfect sweet pizza beer, FYI):
* The government should intrude on our lives as little as possible
* Taxes should be low so that people can keep as much of their money as possible
* We need to drill for oil and gas and stop giving all our money to the Middle East
* We should stop sending billions of dollars in foreign aid to other countries until we can fix the problems in our own ruined inner cities and failed towns
* Instead of wasting so much money on pork barrel nonsense, we need to reinvest in the space program before Russia, China, or even India takes mastery of space exploration
* We need to stop letting the federal government build insanely opulent office buildings and other projects when they could make do on a very limited budget
* Affirmative Action has got to go — race cards expired on January 20th, 2009 and race-baiting and false accusations of racism should be treated like yelling FIRE! in a crowded theater, with severe punishments for the offenders.
* The Federal Reserve must be audited. Immediately.
* The White House’s entertaining budget should be cut in half — as there are too many parties going on at the new Versailles while so many Americans are out of work and having to choose between food or heat in the winter.
* Voter fraud must be eliminated.
* ACORN must be destroyed, in all its forms.
* Labor Unions are too powerful and need to be dismantled, using anti-monopoly and trust-busting statutes if possible…and RICO laws if applicable.
* George Soros’ “Secretary of State Project” must be stopped.
* George Soros and his influence must be exposed and brought to Justice.
* Bias in the media needs to be dealt with, as the MSM is choosing candidates and having too much of an impact on elections. We must find a way to have truth in reporting and accurate journalism. Don’t ask us how, but we need it.
* We need to find a way to engage regular Americans to take the blinders off an stop parroting the old “they’re all crooks!” and “I vote for the lesser of two evils” lines about elections and get people to understand that there ARE choices to be made, especially in the primaries. We cannot allow the political machines to keep running while people sleep, oblivious. We need to wake the people up.
What can you add to this list?
You don’t have to have the answers to HOW to do things…just start compiling what you WANT.
It’s a process.
After we know what we all WANT, we can start looking for leaders to get us that. We think many of you are those leaders and you don’t even know it. But, if we can form a vision of what our government should be, and we recognize who in power currently is an impediment to getting America on the right track, then we can work to defeat those people and install those who have the country’s best interests at heart.
This seems like Step One in taking back the country from the Leftists.
We know this isn’t a fun project to engage ourselves in this weekend, but we do hope you give this some serious thought.
It’s our belief that all of you reading this right now are part of something much bigger than this little site, or a bunch of gay dudes in Boystown who happen to find ourselves in front of a computer typing at all hours of the day. We all come together here, and at many other sites, because we are afraid of what the Left is doing to this country. The Left has powerful resources at its disposal through George Soros and his billions. The Left controls all three branches of Government and the Media right now.
For an American Resistance Movement to sprout, from the Tea Party seeds being planted, we need to form a clear and articulate vision for what we want America to be, before we can begin working towards making that vision a reality.

We’ve gotten a lot of emails from people whose children are in the military, all angry about Joe Biden’s latest idiotic statement that “the Obama Administration counts Iraq as a success”, or whatever this man said between slobbering slurps of ice cream.
