We’re just throwing this out there for feedback, but in organizing a Buzz Team to do something to help Sarah Palin every day, we thought of calling this team the “Purple Team”. Purple, because it, like Palin, starts with a “P”, and both Democrats and Republicans would be working on it…hence, blue plus red plus Palin equals Purple Team.
But, maybe we can combine this Palin Team with our efforts to take the world “polarizing” away from the Left…and create the Polar Team, which we hope will serve as part of Palin’s grassroots ground efforts in 2012.
This makes it somewhat separate from the other color-coded Buzz Teams…and lends itself to lots of awesome Alaskan-themed visuals, such as the four Palin campaign mascots we want to see (Digger the Husky, Mac the Eagle, Big Mamma the Bear, and Rogue the Moose). The HillBuzz Polar Team can and will pull a “Hottie McAwesome” on the word “polarizing”. We’ll take something the Left wants to use as a weapon, and instead turn it into something super fun and cool that Palin supporters embrace and independents think is a hoot.
What do you think?
Go with Purple Team, or go with Polar Team?
The more we think about it, the more we just answered our own question. It is a GREAT way to tie in those mascots and get to work putting out those visuals we think will resonate so well for the Governor.
Please chime in.

I think you should just accept the fact that you’ve become a moderate Republican, and call it a day. Do you share more in common with most Democrats, or most Republicans?
February 8, 2010 at 1:51 am
Paris Paramus,
I GOT TO THINKING, “I think you should just accept the fact that you’ve become a [POLARIZING LEFTIST TROLL], and call it a day.”
Now then, “Do you share more in common with most [LEFTISTS], or most [LEFTISTS]?
I KEPT THE MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION EASY BECAUSE I DIDN’T WANT IT TO BECOME A CONUNDRUM FOR YOU.

That’s kind of cute, but not that astute. If you check my Twitter feed, or my comments on Ace of Spades, it will be pretty clear that I am a pretty solid conservative.
February 8, 2010 at 2:30 am
Hi Paris,
HillBuzz does not polarize, I mean discriminate.
Thus, solid conservatives are welcome at HillBuzz. I know, because I am a conservative. I believe Napolitano would characterize me as a domestic terrorist.
I think the HillBuzz Boys are comfortable being who they are. If they want to identify themselves as moderates, what is that to you or I? Personally, I think their heart is in the right place. And, I like what they have to say. I may not always agree with them, and who they endorse, or don’t endorse, but for now, there is a GROUNDSWELL of common ground between us.
So, why not embrace the Boys and join our Tea Party?
Faith, hope, and love… and chocolate,

I am neither Republican or Democrat. I am a fiscal conservative by nature… and in Australia I vote for the Liberal Party.
I am here because I am learning a lot of things and I am gaining confidence at the same time.

I VOTE FOR POLAR TEAM
February 8, 2010 at 1:11 pm
The Guardian across the pond is running an online poll about whether Sarah could be elected President. Since the Guardian makes the New York Times seem to be a “conservative” paper, you can imagine what a beating Sarah is taking in both the votes and the comments. I posted a really snarky comment and voted yes. Why doesn’t everyone here do the same? http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/poll/2010/feb/08/sarahpalin-usa.
February 8, 2010 at 1:42 pm
In the wisdom and words of smalldeadanimals.com – ‘Another poll about to go very, very wrong!’
February 8, 2010 at 2:25 pm
The percentage has gone up from 23 to 30 in one hour. Get more people to vote. There is another article in the same rag that is so condescending, it infuriated me. The remarks are even worse. See: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2010/feb/08/opportunity-knocks-sarah-palin.
February 8, 2010 at 3:16 pm
I just voted. The poll closes in 2 days.
Current Poll:
35% for Sarah
65% against Sarah

Benaiah, Help! Clicked on your link, but couldn’t find the poll.

63.1% against Sarah
February 8, 2010 at 1:59 am
My two cents: I’m afraid to chime in because you guys are so clever I can’t imagine coming up with stuff better than yours (and because I know I could sound like a troll someday), but here goes – For your particular objective with the word polarizing, NOTHING can top using the polar bear as the icon, forget about “Alaskan-themed visuals, such as the four Palin campaign mascots we want to see (Digger the Husky, Mac the Eagle, Big Mamma the Bear, and Rogue the Moose).” for the “polarizing” purpose. How about: “Sarah Palin is absolutely polarizing” and have a picture of the cutest, most cuddly polar bear and Sarah hugging, another with a polar bear carrying, and/or draped in the American flag saluting Sarah, another with her coddling polar cubs, and so on . . . all with the caption “Sarah Palin is absolutely polarizing” everytime you see the pictures? I’m trying to inject a different meaning to the word the dems are trying to stignatize her with.
February 8, 2010 at 2:15 am
I think the mascot thing is an idea some are working on from months back that the Boyz are referencing in this post. (You can search it if you are interested.) I think the mention was meant to communicate for us to work on this Polarizing project within that same spirit.
And I love love your ideas, top notch! Thanks for the brain candy.
~Jodee
February 8, 2010 at 2:34 am
I like your idea:
“Sarah Palin is absolutely polarizing…”
February 8, 2010 at 2:39 am
Hey I like this!
February 8, 2010 at 2:44 am
“Ronald Reagan was absolutely polarizing…”
“JFK was absolutely polarizing…”
“Sarah Palin is absolutely polarizing…”
February 8, 2010 at 9:15 am
Mixing Reagan and JFK in the theme is borderline genius.
February 8, 2010 at 12:10 pm
JFK was a huge rebel during his time. My favorite picture of him was standing on a tractor in West Virginia with a suit on, trying to get votes at the beginning of his campaign, he was always referred to as a dark horse candidate. America was asleep before he came on the scene and absolutely a fiscal conservative, and stood up to our enemies (Communism)today terrorists.
I’d rather be called polarizing than lazy, it means I’m out there working-generating new and better ideas.
February 8, 2010 at 1:20 pm
Benaiah,
Love bringing in JFK and RR. Great idea! Wonderful touchstones to the past as we lived it. And I love the idea of taking the word polarizing away from the leftists and media.
Using baby polar bear pics with her is great also. Although one must be prepared to have that image turned on you…i.e. the left using her celebrated sportsmanship against that cuddly image by having her shooting, dressing, cooking one of them because she actually does, unapologetically, shoot, dress, and cook elk and moose as food for her family.
So if we use the image of polar bears, we must be also thinking of how to respond to the despicable caricature they will use to counter that.
February 8, 2010 at 2:27 am
Hi Hillbuzz guys, I actually already drive around San Francisco with pictures of Alaska moose on my car dash board. So far no one has fire bombed my car, but I think the moose pictures are a little too subtle for the far, far left horizon. Definitely, go with Alaska animals, in fact, the more the better. North West native peoples consider the animals to be totems, helpful creatures that help the native people survive. Orcas, for example, are a totem. If you think about it, the back to the dark ages ideas of the Democrats would not only wipe out science, but veterinary science. All science needs energy sources and plenty of them for research and practice (like veterinary meds). If you ask me I think the animals are on our side to stop the Democrats attacks on our modern world’s high tech. wonders. Go ” Rogee ” Moose!!! P.S. Totems exist in all cultures. Some cultures call them angels, some call them Kachinas(Southwestern Native), CarlJung would call them arch types.
February 8, 2010 at 2:45 am
Why not make this a time for us freedom-lovers to embrace the Gaea/Earth-Mother archetype?
Imagine Sarah surrounded by all her woodland friends — though I suppose, strictly speaking, they’re her tundra friends.
Sarah’s hugging Big Mama the bear with one arm while she’s feeding Rogue the moose with the other outstretched hand. Digger the husky is curled up at her feet napping peacefully while Mac the Eagle perches nearby (perhaps on Big Mama)and looks on approvingly. It’s a Kum-bay-yah moment (or, for a husky, a Kum-bay-ahoooo moment). Very cute. Very campy.
Very polarizing.
Why should the Left corner the market on woodland friends? As Orcas4P says, the more, the merrier.
February 8, 2010 at 7:38 am
Since Sarah is a devout Christian, the emphasis on Gaia isn’t the one to choose, in my opinion. Besides, Gaia has been adopted by the AGW crowd.
The animals are great though! Think of her as Snow White in the forest with the animals.
February 8, 2010 at 9:19 am
Being Christian myself — and an AGW skeptic, to boot — I rather meant the Gaea reference as a joke… a joke that does its bit to undermine the Gaea-AGW complex. If a devout Christian and skeptic can be done up as Gaea, then the AGW crowd’s invocation of Gaea loses its cachet.
I apologize if my joke was in bad taste, though.
February 8, 2010 at 10:33 am
Either Snow White with her woodland buddies or Cinderella calling on her critter friends to help her win the election.
Sorry, I just had visions of bluebirds making campaign signs and bunnies carrying “We Heart Sarah” balloons.
February 8, 2010 at 11:02 am
Xana, I just thought that Christians might be turned off, that’s all. No need for apologies here!
February 8, 2010 at 1:22 pm
I think using snow white or cinderella is a bit demeaning and turns Sarah into a novelty.
I am a very strong Christian and I actually like the idea of a shakespearean mother earth woodland theme. I like the pun and satire/snarky play on something so near and dear to the left but yet truly captivated in Sarah.
February 8, 2010 at 2:36 am
I’ve been thinking a lot about this…and I think you’re on the right track. Take away the weapons used against us and turn it back around.
Make the word “Polarized” lose its bite by making it a trend. “Have you been polarized yet? If not…why not??”
I see no reason not to have the Polar team be the Purple team as well like the awesome Chrissy demonstrates with her graphic.
But I totally agree…make the word POLARIZE mean something else….and then turn it on them by talking about Palin’s magnetic draw.
February 8, 2010 at 9:18 am
“Have you been polarized yet?”
Very effective. Insinuates, “Have you been enlightened yet?”
February 8, 2010 at 9:45 am
Just make the armband of the Hillbuzz guy purple and write Polar in white across it.
February 8, 2010 at 2:58 pm
“Polarize me, baby!”
“Polarizing? You betcha!”
“Polar Ice-ing”
“Poll A-Rising”
February 8, 2010 at 6:10 pm
Poll A-Rising is GREAT!
February 8, 2010 at 8:17 pm
I am working on a graphic for Polar Icing, but DANG Poll A’Rising is GENIUS!
Last night, I thought of Pole A’Rising with a kind of American flag on a pole aka north pole thing shooting up out of the polar ice … but it didn’t gel into a workable image in my head.
I am so laughing at ME for getting so stuck on POLE and totally missing POLL. ROFLLLL
February 10, 2010 at 2:37 am
Teresa in Fort Worth
These are really great!
I love Poll-A-Rising very much.
February 8, 2010 at 3:59 am
POLAR TEAM sounds good to me.
This way nice personalized themes can be used to help other women candidates such as Michelle Bachmann and others that will run for office. The MSM will try to stick the “polarizing” meme to other female candidates for sure.
“POLAR TEAM” will be immediately recognized as the place go to when working on anti-polarizing guard duties.
Amazonia :)
February 8, 2010 at 7:42 am
Michelle Backmann is from Minnesota, which is the closest to Alaska than any other in the lower 48, what with the snow, cold, outdoor sports etc.
February 8, 2010 at 4:07 am
One more thing HB.
If you adopt “POLAR TEAM”, you will probably be the first Blog to have started this trend (to take the teeth out of the “polarizing” adjective in politics)
February 8, 2010 at 4:47 am
I like Polar Team.
I heard that back in World War One, the Brits began calling the Americans ‘Yankee Doodles’ to show their own superiority. When George M. Cohen turned the term into a song, it became a popular name rather than an insult. People still recognize it today without even knowing of its original intent.
So, let’s make Polar Team a popular name. Even a song would be good. :-)
Thanks for all the tremendous work you are doing. You Boyz are truly an inspiration.
February 8, 2010 at 4:55 am
This is something like I meant about turning the insult Yankee Doodle into a positive term.
Yesterday Sarah mocked her mockers. :-)

Go Sarah!
February 8, 2010 at 1:26 pm
Hahaha! She really knows how to screw with their heads!! Hi Mom. You have to love it. She’s rapidly morphing into Reagan!
February 8, 2010 at 9:37 am
“Even a song [or a familiar polarizing tune] would be good. :-)”
Bridge on the River Kwai Theme
February 8, 2010 at 12:15 pm
Great!
I love that song.
February 8, 2010 at 4:50 am
I love it. And while we’re at it, it would take the color purple away from the statists. I’ve been getting a little ticked off recently at purple becoming the SEIU ID, the SOTU ID for ties, etc. Let’s take it back before they ruin it for perfectly normal everyday use like everything else they touch. Our grandson’s school colors are purple and white. I was about to make a heavy afghan for him including those colors and all of sudden wondered if he would even want–being the conservative high schooler he is–maybe purple isn’t cool any more for him. Purple Polarization could make it VERY cool again.
February 8, 2010 at 7:01 am
Definitely! Purple is my favorite color, and it irritates me that it is used in such fashion.
February 8, 2010 at 7:15 am
Emma,
What a great thought. I love the color purple. It’s the color associated with royalty and those thugs at SEIU should not be able to own this beautiful color.
Even though Sarah comes from humble beginnings, there is a nobility to her. She also gets the concept of NOBLESS OBLIGE, which is the idea that with nobility comes the obligation to have benevolent and honorable behavior. She frequently talks about how the ruling class (a.k.a. legislators and executors) are to be servants of the people.
I don’t know what Sarah thinks of the color. I don’t think I have ever seen her wear it, except maybe as her gubernatorial ball gown, though that may have been dark blue.
Thanks for thinking about the color purple, though.
I’m also fine if the purple team becomes the polar team.
February 8, 2010 at 10:52 am
I think I remember reading in Going Rogue that the colors of her very first campaign were purple and green. I loaned my book to someone so I cannot double check. Anyone remember?
February 9, 2010 at 3:05 pm
“Our 1996 campaign for mayor took to Palmer’s Alaska State Fair parade right before the local elections. Our campaign theme, ‘Positive-ly Palin’,was delivered with pink and green signs—because no one else ever used those colors.” Not sure what colors she used for the governor’s race. Her inaugural ball gown looks kinda pinky-purple.
February 8, 2010 at 1:31 pm
Oh Emma! Great idea. So when the SEIU thugs with their purple T shirts show up at tea parties to harass people, they will naturally be attracted to the purple signs/bumper stickers/T shirts we’ll have created. Talking about a few cases of whip lash! Ha
February 8, 2010 at 3:03 pm
They’ll blend right in and look like they actually SUPPORT her….
February 8, 2010 at 8:19 pm
Hey, our high school’s purple and white too. :o)
February 8, 2010 at 7:28 am
Hillbuzz Boyz:
Here’s a link to a photoshop a friend of mine did, based on the comment I made that she is a wily Arctic Fox. I thought maybe you would enjoy it, and maybe could use it.

I think things in this vein are useful and in keeping with your idea.
February 8, 2010 at 9:00 am
Love this!
February 8, 2010 at 9:39 am
Excellent…
February 8, 2010 at 10:43 am
OMIGOD! That’s uber cool.
February 8, 2010 at 11:59 am
Awesome! Every time I see her smiling face, I feel energized – she radiates positivity & truth. More reasons why they demonise her.
I love the “Polar” theme – the idea that purple is for the independence of her supporters is perfect.
Susan
February 8, 2010 at 8:17 am
I love the button. “Polarize Me” with Palin’s picture. I think that’s perfect. when someone says he is so polarizing, just say well just Polarize me cuz I think she patriotic.
Is anyone selling these buttons?
February 8, 2010 at 1:33 pm
We should have another one that says Polarize Me At Your Own Risk…
February 8, 2010 at 3:05 pm
Or Polarize me (or “her”) at your Peril (lots of “P” sounds) -
February 8, 2010 at 5:51 pm
much better!
February 8, 2010 at 8:24 pm
I just made the graphic last night. I swiped the photo off the net, dunno if its free for commercial use or not, but if anyone wants to pursue finding out, etc. … you are totally welcome to my graphic, which you can get the whole file of by double clicking on the image above then copy/paste into a blank graphics file on your own puter.
There is a site somewhere that allows you to put any graphic on to buttons, mugs and such and sell them. Zazzle? something like that.
I’m NOT a business person and don’t want to be spending my time and precious few brain cells on this kind of thing since I’m so bad at it and besides Kevin has given me a rather largeish backlog of fab graphic ideas to play with which I seem to be quite good at (love the “awesome Chrissy” BIG GRINS!!!) and besides it’s uber fun for me!!
February 8, 2010 at 8:17 am
Palin’s Polar Patriots ! She’s the momma bear of course :)
To me Patriot covers anyone who loves what’s best for our country and her citizens. No political party, just the independent thinking majority supporting the best and exposing the worse. (worst?).
February 8, 2010 at 8:32 am
Love the name! With purple as the official color cuz we are takin’ it back!
February 8, 2010 at 3:05 pm
I saw a bumper sticker that said “Rogue Warrior” -
February 8, 2010 at 8:23 am
Like Polar team–Purple may be too SEIU associated
February 8, 2010 at 8:30 am
Purple has a much longer shelf life beyond just Palin. Blue and Red equals purple. Genius! It IS unity. It also is the color of a serious bruise, which is a good visual for the beating our country and rebels in both parties have taken. Blue has donkey, red has elephant, and purple has a polar bear??? or a purple polar bear with one donkey ear and one elephant ear as a symbol to people in both parties who are against socialism, who are working from their own frame-of-references to save our country. Hmmmmmm…..which the independents had a animal icon for the legs, nose, tail, or smile.
February 8, 2010 at 8:54 am
Hillbuzz:
Thanks for being on our side, the Left has no idea what they just lost. Wait, they probably do. Great idea for the polar team, I like purple too and its innate symbolism of unity (of red & blue) as another poster mentioned.
Since this is a Palin thread, I wanted to post the latest “positive-negative” article on Palin. The conservative writer is definitely pro-Palin, but uses the circular logic of Palin’s possiblity of a Prez. run. Here’s the kicker:
“While I suspect that mine is a minority view among the leadership of conservative activism and journalism (and I am often reminded in a jocular sort of way that my view of Palin is a minority among my colleagues at The Examiner and The Weekly Standard), I believe Palin is miles ahead of every other national figure in understanding where the country has been in the last year and what the Tea Party movement means about the future course of American politics.
That doesn’t mean I think Palin is or even should be a candidate for president or any other elective office in 2012 or any other time. What it does mean is I believe Palin has a unique insight into the state of things and is moving systematically and intelligently in concert with that insight. Where that leads, nobody, including Palin, likely knows at this point.”
Can someone please explain to me, if Palin does have all these attributes, and no one else seems to have them, then how does this disqualify her for a Prez run? I can’t stand this type of argumentation. I guess this is the canard of “polarization” being raised without expliticting using the word?? This seems to be what is tossed around conservative circles as “conventional wisdom” for Palin’s prez. ambitions??
Read more at the Washington Examiner: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/MarkTapscott/Saran-Palin-is-miles-ahead-of-every-other-polician-in-America-83751452.html#ixzz0ex5inZZR
February 8, 2010 at 9:08 am
This is the typical male “intellectual” conservative rambling. They can’t bring themselves to say that someone who is a woman and went to a state college (rather than Yale or Harvard) is up to the job. I can’t wait to see what some of the snob faction at National Review have to say.
Of course, they forget that Reagan was a graduate of Eureka College and was from (gasp) Hollywood, which an earlier generation of conservatives also thought disqualifying.
At least this writer recognizes she’s intelligent.
February 8, 2010 at 10:27 am
If you saw Palin’s interview with Chris Wallace this past weekend, this article mimics very closely what Palin herself said. She has DEFINITELY NOT ruled out running for president, but she realizes that run is also a long time away in political terms and anything can happen.
February 8, 2010 at 11:05 am
This is similar to a thread of comments I saw at the Wall Street Journal yesterday. I couldn’t tell whether they were trolls or simply eeyores. Generally, the argument is that the writer really likes Palin and really hates Obama but she is a political lightweight and look what happened the last time “we” elected someone who was all show and no substance to the White House. Not only does this argument mischaracterize her experience, but it also reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of what I perceive to be the mood out here in the hinterlands. I suspect we will see it here soon.
February 8, 2010 at 11:12 am
We are already seeing it here: Paris Paramus doesn’t think she has a chance in winnging, but is pushing Romney. The same old nonsense we are hearing in the MSM is now being used to push people like Romney.
February 8, 2010 at 8:55 am
Purple Polar team. Or is that too cutsie? Besides purple in the Bible is a symbol for royalty. Not that I would consider Sarah or anyone who runs for President royal but it seems to fit. It’s also my fav color. I also think your polar idea to take it away as a tool is a great idea.
February 8, 2010 at 9:03 am
Don’t forget to use the “Purple Mountains’ Majesty” as part of the visual.
If you haven’t seen the video of the Celtic Woman’s new song, “O’ America!” done as a tribute to Sarah – go here for a real goosebumple moment: http://www.2helenahandbaskets.com.
Off to work.
February 8, 2010 at 12:03 pm
OMG I was thrilled when Palin was put on McCain’s ticket, but then went neutral in recent times until I could examine her more in depth since the hoopla over her book. Since the HI MOM on the hand, and THIS, i.e. the Oh America video, I’m mesmerized! Thanks for this link: http://2helenahandbaskets.com/
Can’t you just feel a Palin-Brown ticket?
February 8, 2010 at 12:20 pm
Buzzers, this is a MUST see/hear for all. Must go viral!
February 8, 2010 at 1:54 pm
Here’s the actual video.
Gave me chills!
February 8, 2010 at 3:15 pm
Made me cry!! I just love Sarah and BTW she really reminds me of President Reagan. She is a beautiful woman inside and out. She has a way of making you feel like you know her personally. She is a natural a one of a kind who connects with the the Patriotic American citizen. Go Sarah
Oh and PS Boyz– Congrats on the Milestone of I can’t exactly remember #of posts. Super Job!!!!
February 8, 2010 at 3:28 pm
Goosebumps! Thank you – it’s getting passed along….
February 8, 2010 at 5:10 pm
Wow! That is beautiful! Thanks for posting the video, I had not seen it. Sarah is truly a beautiful person, I read every word of her book and it really revealed to me how the leftist media has distorted her every move. The left is scared to death of her, with good reason, I guess! Godspeed, Sarah Palin and God bless America! We need it now more than ever!
February 8, 2010 at 9:23 am
Advice. Our local internet provider had something interesting on the homepage page when I went to my email today.
There was a nice box that said 88,000 hits to this page a month, why not advertise in this space? Only $30 a month.
I would like to put something like “Have you been polarized yet? and then http://www………and direct them somewhere.
What website. Or could someone make a web page that lists all the must-read-daily sites we have? The goal is to reach those that have lost heart but are not really informed yet…..don’t want the trolls.
February 8, 2010 at 9:36 am
Thinking of the animals which are to be the mascots of the Polar Team, don’t forget the marmots that put in a brief, too brief, appearance on the masthead of the C4P website. They were hilarious — perfect for someone like SP who has such a sense of humor.
February 8, 2010 at 9:41 am
Hey, what about a button that says:
“I’ve been POLARIZED!” Like I’ve been Hannitized.
With Sarah’s picture, etc. and the icicles.
February 8, 2010 at 9:55 am
I see one big problem with this approach–Sarah is famously a hunter, and showing her with all her animal “friends” is going to give the left a chance to call her a hypocrite, to do counter-posters with Sarah dripping with blood and gore…
If there’s a way to work this without giving the left an opportunity to use it against her, I think it’s a great idea. I hope that more creative minds than mine will come up with a solution.
February 8, 2010 at 12:01 pm
It’s true that a lot of us urbanized types have a problem understanding a hunter’s bond with animals… we don’t understand the game-keeping mentality that well.
The reality is, of course hunters have a vested interest in maintaining the animals they hunt. A conservation-biology friend of mine — very east-coast liberal — whose first job was in Missouri at first had a hard time accepting that the most effective pro-conservation groups in Missouri turned out to be the hunters. But eventually, he had to accept it, because that’s just the way it was.
I agree the “Sarah and her woodland friends” tactic isn’t one designed to appeal to the Left (rather it mocks the Left’s pretensions). Instead, maybe it’s a way for non-leftists to “own” a healthy, realistic relationship with animals, while at the same time poking fun at overly idealized human-animal relations.
The Left already has pictures of Sarah covered in gore, anyhow…

Hunters ARE the true conservationists.
The biggest tree hugger I ever knew was Dr. Richard Fischer who taught Environmental Science at Cornell University.
His daughter was a childhood friend and they took me hunting and fishing when I was in middle school. Peggy shot a squirrel and we made stew and tried (and failed) to tan the hide.
Mr. Fischer shot a deer and I watched them field dress it before taking it back home to butcher and freeze for the family. He left the entrails in the woods for other animals to eat and explained how important it was to know the woods, your weapon, hunting safety, etc.
And most of all, to only shoot for a clean kill. Nobody loves or respect wildlife the way hunters do. One of the worst sins a hunter can commit is to only wound, not quick kill, an animal. Another is to take more than your bag limit.
Hunting license fees and taxes on hunting supplies go to pay for conservation efforts, like herd counts and autopsies to track herd health.
Man is the only predator some of these animals have. If we didn’t manage and hunt the herds, they’d overpopulate their biome and end up suffering and dying from disease, parasites, and starvation.
I used to live in an area where liberals made wildlife management difficult. The deer and raccoons were incredibly bold and, while appealing to look at in a Ranger Rick magazine, are not so cute when they’re stampeding through a car park or menacing you in your own garage (both true).

How about just a purple polar bear. When we all like a candidate we photoshop them being hugged by our bear, and then have one of the phrases. Drop the word word purple just have the bear purple.
Make the polarized endorsement one of the most sought after for a candidate. Can someone quickly copyright this purple bear for Hillbuzz so any candiate wanting to put it on their site with the bear hugging them, has to get permission from hillbuzz.
C’mon, one of you lawyers please have it done by the end of the day??????
February 8, 2010 at 10:21 am
Here’s an interesting commentary . . .
http://www.mullings.com/02-08-10.htm
February 8, 2010 at 10:22 am
Not that Juan Williams knows ANYTHING about Sarah Palin, but he just mentioned that she was supporting Marco Rubio in Florida. That is the first I have heard of that. I assumed she was staying out of that FL Senate race until a Repub was definitely chosen. Crist and McCain are pals, so I figured even though Rubio aligns more with her platform, that she would wait until he won the Repub nomination before going all in for Rubio.
Anyone know about this?
February 8, 2010 at 11:20 am
Funny I happened to see that clip too when I went in the other room to see Sarah on Fox (husband alerted me). So I came back to see if I got an e-mail alert from the Rubio site-nothing. Surfing around now and have found nothing and nothing on the radio yet. I’ll keep you posted.
February 8, 2010 at 12:39 pm
Yeah, I couldn’t find anything either. It was Juan Williams though (who is in the camp that thinks she’s a loon anyway), so I’m sure he just assumed she was supporting him since he’s a Tea Party candidate.
February 8, 2010 at 10:25 am
What about a Polar bear called ICE ?
February 8, 2010 at 3:11 pm
ICE also stands for “In Case of Emergency”…you’re supposed to put ICE numbers on your cell phone under the name ICE so if you get in an accident, emergency workers can quickly find your loved ones to notify. Morbid, but I think if there ever was an “emergency” it’s now! We need her!
February 8, 2010 at 10:26 am
[...] Is anyone up for driving the last Kennedy out of elected office? and What about a POLAR TEAM to help Palin? and Sarah Palin is too polarizing! and 5,000th Post at [...]
February 8, 2010 at 10:32 am
I agree. Forget the color purple. It’s been adopted by the Obama administration and it’s deeply entrenched in SEIU (can’t wait for Sarah to bust them up). Just look at the last SOTU (or more accurately STFU)–Dr. and Mrs. Overthetopia, Pelosi and Biden and some of the other dimocrats were all dressed in purple.
Love the idea of “polarizing” Palin.
February 8, 2010 at 11:15 am
If purple is claimed for Sarah Palin wouldn’t it seems as it everyone who wore purple was endorsing her?
February 8, 2010 at 12:34 pm
No it wouldn’t. I have nothing against purple and whoever on this thread mentioned that purple has a long history of being associated with power and royalty is correct. I personally love the color and won’t stop wearing it because of Orca Winfrey or the Obamas or SEIU.
I love the reference of red and blue = purple, thus uniting the country, but the word polarizing is, to me, much more important because it is what the left uses to discount Sarah as it did for Hillary Clinton.
Everyone think hard. Let’s do like Crayola and make up a color for Sarah to symbolize a bright new beginning and the taking back of our Country.
February 8, 2010 at 2:41 pm
What about a purple with stronger red tones? Something along the lines of red-violet or jazzberry jam seen here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-violet
February 8, 2010 at 2:46 pm
Here’s a better array of colors to choose from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors
February 8, 2010 at 4:00 pm
what about violet?
February 8, 2010 at 4:03 pm
In that group there is a pansy purple. It is near the end of the colour range. It looks good because it is not SEIU purple
February 8, 2010 at 5:23 pm
If people don’t like purple because of the SEIU and Obama connection, the colors she used in her mayoral campaign were pink and green “because no one else ever used those colors” according to her book. Also “Team Sarah” uses pink. I like purple too, though, the combo of blue and red is a nice touch!
February 8, 2010 at 10:36 am
Polarize me is a brilliant slogan!, Congratulations Chrissie: I think we should start making up polarize me buttons and start wearing them everywhere.
February 8, 2010 at 10:52 am
Love the Polar Pack concept. But lose the hugging bears, cuddling stuff. The Artic Fox pic is great without the fox. Sarah Palin is a hunter. Once saw a “stuffed” polar bear in a lobby in Alaska posed as standing on it’s hind feet…truly awesome, huge and scarey. Powerful Polar…I am POLARIZED.
February 8, 2010 at 12:16 pm
How about adopting a Diana/Artemis Goddess of the Hunt motif?
Sarah looks like a goddess. She can hunt like one, too. I wonder if I can paste her head to an image of Diana with her bow drawn?
February 8, 2010 at 12:18 pm
Check this image out — it’s cute animals and a cute huntress, together in the same porcelain figurine!

How about something about —Hunting down the best of the best for the American People – Sarah Polarizing for America!
February 8, 2010 at 11:02 am
Found this on the net…interesting. BTW would using a polar bear cause environmentalists to go bonkers?

February 8, 2010 at 11:56 am
I was going to comment on the use of polar bears driving the environmentalists nuts!! Every time I see that poor mommy polar bear and her cub stranded on that little piece of ice – I laugh!
February 8, 2010 at 11:23 am
I would be forever grateful is someone clever could kill the word *transparent* in politics. Whenever a politician utters that word I remember Mr. Humphries “the next word is…a LIE…a LIE.”
Polarized brings to mind the arrow on a compass showing the way to go perhaps that could also be used.
February 8, 2010 at 11:40 am
I think it is Brilliant! Not only does it take the lefts favorite insult Shes so polarizing, away from them (which will help other people in addition to Sarah) BUT makes it a Positive. AND it works so well with the mascotts you’ve been talking about for so long (wow I just realized it will be 2 years this summer) I can see being able to do so much with the whole Polarizing campaign, (maybe I’ll finally be able to get my moose hat)think of the Tshirts, stuffed animals and cute little kids trick or treating as a Moose, Husky and polar bear. (which is so much nicer than Chicagos Sloth, pig and weasel which since the Dr.U family lost the bid, I do miss seeing in your graphics, they always made me laugh)
I also like that this a real positive and fun campaign that could only work for Sarah and not something you could just fill in the blank with the candidates name type of idea.
Who can I complaine to that I NOW have “Lets get Polarized, polarized. I wanna get polarized” sung to the tune of Olivia physical stuck in my head?
February 8, 2010 at 11:41 am
Did anyone see the Chris Wallace Interview with Palin. I loved it when she sarcastically said ” Well, geez ,I’ll try” when responding to his question if she could really try her hardest and answer as answer like a political commentator and not a politician.
Chris Wallace is another arrogant elitist. He knows more than her, or so HE thinks.
February 8, 2010 at 11:47 am
I agree! He was such the smarmy little jerk that he is. I love when he said, since you’re now a Fox News political analyst, put on your analyst had and predict which repubs will run in 2012. And she – correctly – said she can’t predict that at this point. Chris said, we’ll you’re not a very good analyst. And she got an appropriately irked look in her eye and said, well then fire me, Roger!
It was great. Wallace is an ass.
February 8, 2010 at 12:31 pm
Joe Scarborough, of “Morning Joe” was talking about the Wallace interview, played a clip where he said Wallace rolled his eyes, embarrassed. …”Chris was sending a message to all his friends: yes I know. She is not a serious thinker.”
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-finkelstein/2010/02/08/scarborough-behind-scenes-top-conservatives-frustrated-palin
February 8, 2010 at 1:28 pm
I watched that interview several times looking for the “eye roll”. Morning Joe completely took it out of context. Wallace never rolls his eyes at her or any answer she gives. He does at one point look up to try and find the right way to word a question but it is never in response to something she says. They are just making crap up.
February 8, 2010 at 3:12 pm
I think it’s time to polarize Joe and that little communist Mika.
February 8, 2010 at 6:14 pm
Wow, I was just doing a little reading about the Brzezinski family. You might not be far off when you say communist Mika.
February 8, 2010 at 11:44 am
Sarah Palin is just so damn awesome. She fights back against Palm-notes-gate:
http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/02/awesome-palin-campaigns-for-rick-perry-writes-hi-mom-on-her-hand-pics/
Really…people who live in glass houses where Obama uses TWO TelePrompters to speak to a classroom of grade schoolers (!) can’t throw notes-on-palm stones.
February 8, 2010 at 11:52 am
There are two words that seem to strike fear in everyone’s heart, “Palin power.” Nothing brings out hysteria and panic quite like those two words. I’m thinking about getting a bumper sticker.
February 8, 2010 at 12:03 pm
I LOVE the idea! Polarized me!
My concern in using the color purple is that if we aren’t successful in taking ownership of it from the Left – then those that see a Polarize Me sign or button in purple, could mistake it for being Anti-Palin. But I guess if you also include strong symbolism within the art, it won’t be taken as anti-Palin.
And on a side note – I have yet to have one acquaintance or friend (or family member for that matter) be able to explain to me in intelligent, non-feelings terms why they hate her so much. It’s time to start making these people use concrete evidence as to why she is so EEEvil.
February 8, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Oops – I mean POLARIZE ME!
February 8, 2010 at 4:39 pm
How about Polarize Me with Palin Power.
Combine KJA’s idea with Yllik’s.
February 8, 2010 at 4:40 pm
woops! Yttik
February 8, 2010 at 4:40 pm
Sorry spelling—Yttik!!
February 8, 2010 at 4:13 pm
there are shades of purple. It can be done by using a different shade.
The SEIU do not represent the true melding of red and blue. They should be using brown since that is what you get when putting red and green together.
February 8, 2010 at 6:23 pm
I can see what you me about the left thinking it is a Palin dis…..especially since most of the blind, non-tax paying followers of the Left don’t even know what the word “Polarize” means!
February 8, 2010 at 6:25 pm
I see what you mean about the Left thinking it is a Sarah dis; especially since most of the blind, non-tax paying followers of the Left don’t even know what the word “Polarize” means!
February 8, 2010 at 12:08 pm
2 suggestions for the term “polarize”:
1) Sarah separates the truth from the lies, the wheat from the chaff, the reality from the rhetoric
OR…
2) polarize as in “vaporize” as in a vaporizing ray to Obama (like the photoshop posted on this site)
February 8, 2010 at 12:13 pm
polarize me, baby! and dress me in purple!
February 8, 2010 at 2:57 pm
Now THAT’S a cute one!
Love it!
February 8, 2010 at 12:49 pm
I would leave the color purple to SEIU and think of one not already taken. I think if somebody is talking about “Purple Shirts everybody knows who is meant. Not easy, most colors have already an association. The complement color of purple is yellow. This one is used also but at least not associated
with baseball bats.
February 8, 2010 at 4:15 pm
there are different shades of purple: Lavender, violet, eggplant…..
February 8, 2010 at 12:51 pm
Speaking of driving the Greenies crazy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq58zS4_jvM
Those who believe in the religion of GREEN supposedly love this commercial but if you see what their vision of the future is it’s scary. I really think this is a slam to the Greenies. Can’t speak for Audi but that’s the way I see it. After all it’s a clean Diesel.
February 8, 2010 at 2:39 pm
Thank you!! My sister, who has been recycling and composting since the early 70′s said that was a frightening ad – waaaaay over the top. I knew it instinctively when I saw it that it would backfire on Audi. Euro marketing. What they think is satire is actually very frightening to us freedom liberty loving folks because with the EGO in the WH, we know he likes to push the envelope and we don’t know what he’s going to take over next. The “crap and tax” bill passed by the house has so many fines/fees/taxes folded in for businesses…are there any for us residents? Who knows? No one read the bill.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t recycle since they make it so easy for us to do now. I garden so I compost. But the GREEN POLICE? Not in my country. Not while I’m breathing. It all looked so 1930′s Germany.
February 8, 2010 at 4:17 pm
with all of those fines, it would be good if it gets to the Supreme court. The majority just loves legislation that has criminal sanctions…. then they get to strike them down…. ROFL
That is the outcome of Citizens United….. they struck the provision down because of the criminal sanctions applied against free speech…. :)
February 8, 2010 at 6:38 pm
I read the House Cap and Trade bill. It was on-line at a web site for a while. Inspectors for your houses to rate them for energy efficiency before you sell them. Kickbacks to appliance manufacturers (GE, probably) for every high energy appliance sold. Kickbacks to retailers for selling them. Cash for CLunkers for appliances to get you to buy GE’s products.
Ten universities will be in charge of rating everything, at a cost of 500 million per school. (Boondoggle.) Green buildings will be constructed as templates.
On and on it went. It’s awful. It will kill what little bit of our economy is left if it passes.
February 8, 2010 at 9:12 pm
Gacckkkk!
February 8, 2010 at 1:02 pm
I am officially joining the Polar team today, gonna use the word polarize in as many ways as I can…
You all energize me so, thank you for being here and encouraging me to fight for the right!

February 8, 2010 at 1:17 pm
It took me a day or so to get my thoughts together. Here are a couple of “T-Shirt Ideas” I came up with:
Polarizing Like A MAGNET!
PALIN Attracts PATRIOTS!
Jesus Christ
Thomas Paine
Abraham Lincoln
John F. Kennedy
Martin Luther King
THEY WERE POLARIZING!
The Bible… it POLARIZES!
Patriot…Leftist
Constitution…Das Kapital
Standing Tall…Bowing to Tyrants
America the Beautiful…Global Government
MAKE YOUR CHOICE
PALIN! She’s POLARIZING!
Here’s one that’s not on the polarizing theme, but it would make a great T-Shirt:
Hey Barack!
Read the writing on the WALL or the writing on the HAND! Take your pick!
Energy — Taxes — AMERICAN SPIRIT!
February 8, 2010 at 1:34 pm
You’re right babchie…..JFK was VERY polarizing in 1960 because he was Catholic! OMG! OMG! This seriously divided the Catholics and Protestants.
I was old enough to remember…if JFK wins, the Pope will run AMERICA!
For the youngsters….
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1960_U.S._Presidential_election
It’s a fun read, why it’s just like yesterday! Nothing really changes in pithy politics :D
February 8, 2010 at 4:21 pm
we get that kind of crappy statement in Australia….
Tony Abbott is a Catholic and the Pope will control Australia.
Even worse…. was the question put to him by the sleazy Laurie Oaks… “one more thing… do you believe in evolution?” Really? Since when do Catholics not believe Evolution? We do but we do not accept Darwin’s hypothesis.
February 8, 2010 at 1:53 pm
How about The Purple Revolution? You know, like they had the Orange revolution in the Ukraine and the Green revolution is starting in Iran. This would be Red and Blue standing up to Socialism from Dr. Utopia.
That, or The Polar Express.
February 8, 2010 at 2:06 pm
Love the concept!
Having spent some time in Alaska (including Wasilla), a couple more ideas to consider.
The state colors of Alaska are blue and gold, this would tie her more to the state and her Governorship if a change from purple is considered.
Also, many ‘touristy’ items for sale in Alaska use the Big Dipper/North Star symbols. Since the North Star has been used for years as a navigation aid, it ties into her theme of taking us in the right direction.
The Big Dipper, Little Dipper constellations are also known as Ursa Major/Minor (Big Bear/Little Bear), which ties to the animal themes suggested.
Creativity is not one of my strong suits, but hopefully these may provide jumping off points for those better equipped.
February 8, 2010 at 2:43 pm
I love the idea of using the North Star, the historic navigational aid. I am sure it could be incorporated too. Also, had forgotten about the Big Bear/Little Bear.
Don’t say you aren’t creative – these are great ideas.
February 8, 2010 at 3:01 pm
The North Star is also known as the Polar Star.
February 8, 2010 at 6:30 pm
And remember the slaves of the South used the North Star to freedom. Time to follow the Freedom Star, I would say.
February 8, 2010 at 2:21 pm
My immediate reaction to the Polarize Me pin was totally positive. I thought, How very clever! And then I realized just how many plays and gambits it offers. Fabulous!

OT but important. Did you just hear Rush repeat a rumor re Biden? Supposedly, Obama wants to unload Joe, so he intends to appoint him to the Supreme Court, and select Hillary as his VP. I wonder if she would even consider it?
February 8, 2010 at 2:45 pm
I just heard that as well.
It’s spreading – here are but a few –
http://www.usnews.com/blogs/washington-whispers/2009/11/24/could-hillary-clinton-replace-biden-as-obamas-vp.html
http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/12082
I don’t think she is that crazy. She’d be much better off challenging him in the Primaries in 2012. If Dr. U is even thinking of doing this – he’s thinking she’s his only chance to win. So if she is his only chance to win – why wouldn’t she just try and get the nomination? I’d kind of love to see her do it. The wheels would come off the DNC.
February 8, 2010 at 2:49 pm
Drunken idiot Biden on the Supreme Court?!? Is he crazy??!! He’d be better off appointing Hillary to the Court!
February 8, 2010 at 2:57 pm
He needs a strong presence on the ticket in 2012, and he needs someone to intercede for him on the Hill. Biden is a buffoon.
February 8, 2010 at 4:40 pm
Okay – here’s a thought. Maybe I’m stretching this – but do you suppose that Dr. U (or his thinking people) are floating this to try and tear at those who support Hillary? They know that a lot of Hillary supporters can’t stand Obama. Are they working to delegitimize her for a 2012 run by making people think she’d consider a run as #2 on his ticket?
Like I said – it’s a stretch – but think how many people would be very upset if she did take the VP spot now?
Hillary’s approval rating is high and Dr. U’s is tanking fast. Right now she’s the only Dem that could win.
February 8, 2010 at 2:46 pm
Of course Hillbuzz, you know this site is monitored so Obama and his minions are probably talking about how to use the word polarizing to benefit his highness.
February 8, 2010 at 2:46 pm
OT, but important…
John Murtha (D-PA) dead at age 77.
Obama/Pelosi shill passes away peacefully in a Virginia hospital.
February 8, 2010 at 2:54 pm
Wow! I just hopped over to Fox, and it says he died of complications of gall bladder surgery. That is usually pretty straight forward.
February 8, 2010 at 3:01 pm
Oh dear, I just read it too.
God rest his soul no matter how I felt about him.
February 8, 2010 at 3:16 pm
Yes indeed– ~RIP Mr.
Murtha~ he was a military man and I didn’t always agree with him,,,but he always had my respect…”
February 8, 2010 at 3:15 pm
Oh, gosh. Prayers being said for his family. He had GBS at Christmastime – he was apparently in pretty bad pain; anyone who has had gallstones can relate.
I got the impression that his gallbladder was quite swollen; that is probably what caused the complication – things can get dicey when that happens.
He actually had come home, but started feeling badly, so he was readmitted last week. So sorry to hear this, even if I didn’t agree with his political views.
February 8, 2010 at 4:15 pm
I just heard a dem congressman say that his intestine was accidentally perforated during the surgery. That would explain things.
February 8, 2010 at 3:04 pm
Think about the inevitable onslaught the Republican nominee will face against Obama in 2012.
From the Weekly Standard blog:
“Not only has Palin been able to absorb the hatred and mockery directed at her. She has channeled it into a full-out barrage on the Obama agenda that is forceful, direct, and compelling. The Palin on stage in Nashville was the same Palin who debuted in Dayton, Ohio, on August 29, 2008; the same Palin who gave an incredibly effective address at the Republican National Convention less than a week later; the same Palin who went toe-to-toe with Biden and drew thousands of supporters to her rallies. She seemed refreshed. She seemed more powerful than ever — despite resigning her office on July 3, 2009. Ask yourself: Is there another person in the GOP who will draw larger applause when they address the 2012 GOP convention? I do not think so. The crowd in Nashville broke into a chant of “Run, Sarah, Run!” two years before the first voting in Iowa.”
http://www.weeklystandard.com/daily/daily.asp#blog-420365
February 8, 2010 at 3:11 pm
Yep’ polar team, has my vote– however the color purple’ boyz,,, as with the previous post’s to your question– isn’t purple the SEIUs and the Lefty’s new banner color too..? does that matter, I don’t know– “wondering”
I’m all for purple,,, but’ if you need to re-think purple,,, there is always “LAVENDER” I know not so bold and strong,,, but don’t want to get Sarah confused with the libholes side of thing’s…! lol,,,,:)
Love the big and little dipper idea, the constellations…that would be fun” as for the animals? They need to be strong and fearless looking– like Sarah..”
Love this whole concept boyz,,, and can’t wait to see what you will come-up with…”
February 8, 2010 at 3:17 pm
But it would confuse the heck out of people who normally associate purple with SEIU to see so many purple shirts at Palin rallies – that’s what makes it so perfect!
“The Purple Palin People” -
February 8, 2010 at 3:29 pm
Absolutely – love it – Purple Palin People are Polarized Patriots!!!!
Why not co-opt purple? – Just because SIEU uses it ? Nope. Except for us political wonks – most people out there wouldn’t have a clue – so we take it and claim it and let SIEU figure out what to do. After all there are millions of us and what – a few hundred committed SIEU folks (probably only as many as get the union to buy their shirts).
We can have any color we want. I vote purple. Gold as an accent works too.
February 8, 2010 at 3:43 pm
Yeah,,, you know you both are on to something here”"”! very clever and I didn’t even connect the dot’s on that…”
O.K. purple it is,,,! SEIU’ you can use the Lavender instead…!lol,,,perfect Co-opt’ing the purple”"”
February 8, 2010 at 6:36 pm
Besides all the SEIU defectors can just turn their shirts inside out and apply an iron-on “I’ve been polarized”
February 8, 2010 at 3:47 pm
I like the compass analogy. Get Polarized and find true north.
February 8, 2010 at 3:52 pm
I just came across the news at C4P that Marist has polled a “very hypothetical” three-way contest in 2012 between O, Palin, and — Michael Bloomberg.
http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2010/02/surely-marist-will-poll-obama-d-v-h.html
So strange at first sight that I almost thought it must be an April fools joke come two months early. But then, recalling the boyz’ post about the Democrats’ sub rosa plan to encourage a third-party spoiler for 2012 — divide et impera — I stopped laughing. If they manage to maneuver someone into that role, will it be Bloomberg? Food for thought — and for our own planning.
February 8, 2010 at 6:47 pm
I can’t imagine that Bloomberg would draw anyone from the right. We all know he’s an opportunist and only was a Republican for a while in order to run for mayor; before that he was a democrat.
If the democrats push this, they will only shoot themselves in the foot, as a lot of democrats would defect to Bloomberg, while the GOP stood firm. The we would be saying “President Palin.”
February 8, 2010 at 7:10 pm
No, not from the right exactly, but from certain sectors of the center to center-right that are geographically distributed in such a way that certain states might in the end fall to Obama. So I’m not so certain that it would backfire as you suggest.
And financially speaking, Bloomberg is more than capable of funding a vanity project of this kind. Also, given the low likelihood of his running for NY mayor again, come the end of 2011 he’ll have entered something like a lame-duck phase of mayorship, which could embolden him to find another project for himself. — Of course, all this is purely speculative at this point.
But what I find troubling about this poll is the timing, as though it were testing the waters for a plan that might be set into motion not all that many months from now.

Love the Polar theme and I say don’t let the SEIU thugs hog the purple! The red + blue symbolism is too good. Love all the animals. When can we buy stuffed animals?

Hey Obaminites,
Heads Up
READ the Writing on…. her hand!
Palin is polarizing America. Don’t get left out in the cold.

“Polarize them” Now that Sarah works at Fox. How about confronting her worst detractors ie: Maddow/Olby. Dig up their “Dirt” and expose them. I know maddow is a supporter of the Argentian’s workers movement. ie: stealing businesses from owners. She’s real scum….”polarize them”

United States Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas
“…the framers …understood that for liberty to exist the populace needed to be educated enough to understand liberty and to be able to defend liberty. They also understood that liberty was not on automatic pilot, that liberty would not exist simply because it was once started, and that having won it it was very delicate and had to be protected…”

This is the best idea I have heard! I’m positively polarized! You could always use a tie die t-shirt with a small mix of pink in a mass of purple. Use purple with pink letters or borders. Incorporate team Sarah’s pink. What ever you come up with I want one (or more).
