Hi Mom.
That’s what Sarah Palin wrote on her hand today, technically, before speaking at a campaign rally for Rick Perry in Texas.
“Hi Mom” can also be loosely translated as “F-U, Lefties”.
Here’s what Sarah Palin did today, and why it’s not only brilliant, but it’s the chief reason this woman will be our 45th President.
She hit the Left back, in a subtle way that drives them crazy. THAT, friends, is quite an art form. We respect everyone alive who practices this sort of Fu.
Palin knew the Left, particularly the Huffington Post, has been trying to create an issue of several words Palin wrote on her hand before the Tea Party Convention speech yesterday: Energy, Taxes, American Spirit.
We do this too, FYI, whenever we have to do any public speaking, since we don’t usually take notecards with us or have a podium in front of us. We just write down a few key words, on our palm, so that we cover the three or four things we really wanted to talk about…lest we miss one of them. Unlike the current president, we don’t have a TelePrompTer traveling with us everywhere we go. Neither does Palin.
We hope Palin makes the “Hi Mom” thing a regular inside-joke.
The Huffalumps tried to make an issue of her palm-notes…and obsessed over staring at pictures of them yesterday…so Palin sent them a message today, letting them know she’s aware they are scrutinizing her palms…so she might as well send her Mom a message.
Those of you who met Mrs. Heath on Palin’s book tour have told us she’s a VERY nice woman (Mr. Heath too)…so we say “Hi Sarah’s Mom” today too.
Palin is quick with responses to the lunatics on the Left, which is remarkable. She gets in front of a story before it becomes an issue. She hits back hard when needed, but can use more subtle smacks when those are more appropriate.
We think she effectively disarmed this issue, in a humorous, fun way that’s relatable to average Americans.
Her ninja throwing star Facebook dispatches are well-crafted and deadly to her opponents.
Today, she proved her more subtle hits can be just as effective.
This woman has all the skills she needs to become President in two years.
All that’s missing is her ground team…of which we, and hopefully YOU, will surely be a part.
Go, Sarah, Go!

February 8, 2010 at 12:01 am
Perfect, absolutely perfect. You guys are right. That’s why she will make a great president.
February 8, 2010 at 4:59 pm
It’s kind of like that moment your mama smiled at you while she was taking your allowance back. You don’t want to make a scene, because she is smiling after all. So why does it sting so dang bad?
LOL!! GO SARAH GO!
February 8, 2010 at 12:02 am
The passion for the people of the USA is visible. Her un-equaled ability to turn on a dime is just most admirable
February 8, 2010 at 12:03 am
The woman is a fox.
The media and Left think they can destroy her?
HAAAA!
Hillbuzz: You guys need to send her a letter and get on her campaign staff NOW.
This woman is going to be President in 2012.
The nay sayers will EAT their words.
February 8, 2010 at 12:06 am
We have a standing offer to Governor Palin.
We would be honored to work for her in whatever capacity she wants us.
The problem is we don’t have any contacts in the Palinverse. So, if any of you do, we’d always appreciate letting Alaskans and others in her circle know that she’s got a Chicago Team ready, willing, and revved up to go for her whenever she needs it.
As long as she keeps fighting for what’s best for America and leads with that servant’s heart, we’re Moderates for Palin.
February 8, 2010 at 12:24 am
I am sure there will be a time for that Hillbuzz. She will send out the call for help when the time is right!
February 8, 2010 at 1:13 am
C4P was on the list of thank yous in her last book. I want to see Hillbuzz on the thank you list in her next book!
February 8, 2010 at 1:15 am
How about us putting you on the thank you list for our book? THAT we can manage.
February 8, 2010 at 9:20 am
And now some of the original contributors at C4P are officially working for SarahPAC. The timing for all things Sarah seems to work out perfectly. And I would be surprised if you guys aren’t on her radar.
February 8, 2010 at 11:34 am
Exactly. If you’re not on her radar now, I have a feeling you will be soon. We’re going to make this happen! (=
February 8, 2010 at 2:33 pm
I believe that somebody over at Ace of Spades HQ knows one of her family members quite well (they don’t usually mention it, but they did in one post a couple of days ago).
I’m sure she knows about you Boyz, though – it’ll happen; just you wait and see!
February 8, 2010 at 12:05 am
As I’ve written here before, things would have to change radically, or at least significantly for Sarah Palin to become President. My fear is that she would get the nomination, but lose, by about the same margin as McCain did (ironically; turnout would be huge on both sides).
She would get my vote, but unless she can change a lot of minds, should would lose in 2012. I hope she runs, but in 2016 or 2020.
February 8, 2010 at 12:08 am
This is a very interesting variation on trolling — the same thing was done to Hillary Clinton in 2004, a year she could have run and beat Bush. The way Clinton was marginalized was that she was told to wait until 2008. And then the DNC knee-capped her. Clinton fell for it. It cost her the presidency.
Paris — that troll trick won’t work on Palin. We’re going to expose that crap for what it is. 2012 is Palin’s window. It is her year. She cannot wait until 2016.
We won’t have any of that “wait until 2016″ nonsense here.
February 8, 2010 at 12:45 am
Your use of the accusation “TROLL” is getting tiresome. HRC was never intensely disliked by a wide swath of Americans. SP is, unfortunately. And pulling off a very successful book tour and Tea Party appearance should not be confused for running for office.
Hillbuzz, stop the troll cry crap–you are better than that.
February 8, 2010 at 12:57 am
oh, puleeze! HRC was never intensely disliked????? Are you kidding?
That exposes you more than anything else you have said.
February 8, 2010 at 2:11 am
there were a lot of people who disliked Hillary. I happen to be one of them. Everyone here knows that I did not like her… yet I would be happy to see Hillary as President instead of the Obot.
February 8, 2010 at 2:17 am
Maggie, I agree on both points (HRC as Gov; and SP’s resume). But the resignation will be spun, and Alaska will be portrayed as Hooterville, and that’s how it will go.
Remember, if the MSM can spin Obama’s “resume” into something other than a series of joke jobs, they can spin a good resume into looking like crap.
Hey, I don’t even own a tv anymore–don’t blame me!
February 8, 2010 at 2:22 am
Your disrespect for this site is evident. The boyz just told you the rule. Abide by it or leave.
February 8, 2010 at 7:21 am
WTH!?!?!?
“HRC was never intensely disliked by a wide swath of Americans”
Truely, what ignorance is being displayed here!
As a Hillary dem, I had to campaign to fight ag repubs, which was expected, BUT even more surprising, it was the dems who peddled this nonsense.
Seriously, I 100% agree with HillBuzz, either stop this “wait until 2016″ trolling, or go away!
I am sure Ronmey or Huckberry’s camp would love your help@!
This line of attack is getting pretty pathetic.
(and btw, this is HB’s site, don’t lecture them on what they can and cannot do!)
February 8, 2010 at 7:26 am
again, another line of ignorance:
“Also, I know you probably know that Obama got less than 53% of the vote, but he got MORE THAN DOUBLE the number McCain got.”
Mr. Marxist got 52% of the vote, Mccain/Palin 46%
Double!?!?!?
not sure if you can do simple math
and ALSO, 6 million repubs that voted for Bush did NOT vote for Mccain, they stayed home.
HB did an excellent piece on this, when they as PUMAs were working harder to elect McPalin that some repubs like you were!
As down as you are on Palin, wouldn’t surprise me if you were one of them.
This line of attack I consider trolling/eeyoring, just look how many responses this got. And for what?
what a waste of effort to refute all this nonsense.
February 8, 2010 at 1:08 pm
Paris Hilton,
we know you want your Messiah reign for 4 more years..but Sarah is going to RUN and stop this socialist lunatic on his tracks.
The day Sarah Palin clinches the GOP nomination(February 26, 2012), on this historic day Obama will start writing his concession speech!
February 8, 2010 at 1:03 am
MJDiva, she was not disliked by the MSM, or the instiutions that form public opinion for most people.
Listen, I live in the most liberal part of liberal and leftist NYC. I love Sarah Palin. Yes, she is more popular now than she was in 2008. But you are talking about her running for President, not VP. The KNIVES will be out for her if she runs, and because she doesn’t have a thick political resume, those knives will/would be very effective.
And believe me, I wish it wasn’t so!
February 8, 2010 at 1:11 am
OK, Paris, my question is this: for whom will the knives not be out? And, is that the criteria we should use to pick our candidates – that their knives are absent, or shorter?
This is the part I don’t get. Who would you have instead of her?
February 8, 2010 at 1:27 am
MJDiva, yes, the knives will be out for everyone, but not everyone has less than one term of governorship from a small (population-wise), remote state, plus fairly or unfairly, everything she was accused of in 2008, magnified by the fact she would not be running for long-shot understudy (VP).
I am not sure the number of people who have become Palin fans in the last year exceeds the number of leftists and Democrats who would decide to vote specifically against her (as oppose to simply not voting for either McCain or Obama).
She might win certain states by a lot more, yes, VA might, MIGHT flip, and maybe one or two others, but except for Texas, which of the big electoral states could Palin win that McCain did not?
I may be wrong. I may decide I was wrong. But you need, at least to wrestle with what I am saying and thinking.
February 8, 2010 at 1:42 am
As you state in your post, you live in ” the most liberal part of liberal and leftist NYC” so the “institutions that form the public opinion for most people” in your area (ya know, liberal leftists) are vastly different than those in the majority of the country. (In case you haven’t heard, Fox News is watched by more Americans than all of the liberal leaning cable news channels combined & they seem to love Sarah.)
I’m sure from your own experience in NYC you have encountered untold amounts of Palin-Hate but please don’t assume that because she is generally disliked in bastions of liberalism like NYC that that means she is “intensely disliked” by the majority of the country.
This country is very disillusioned right now with both the current administration & the MSM, so if Sarah can come out swinging & really get her message out there, I think she has a great shot at securing not only the nomination but a seat for herself in the Oval Office. Remember, that George W.Bush was “intensely disliked by a large swath of Americans” too and he was elected to two terms.
February 8, 2010 at 1:47 am
You still did not suggest an alternative.
February 8, 2010 at 1:48 am
Kristie, I know I live in an atypical part of the country. But, Fox News Channel was also clobbering the competition in 2008.
Also, I know you probably know that Obama got less than 53% of the vote, but he got MORE THAN DOUBLE the number McCain got.
In other words, I WANT YOU TO BE RIGHT, BUT I JUST DON”T THINK YOU ARE.
February 8, 2010 at 1:53 am
Dude, I live in Seattle. Don’t pull this I live in the most liberal place on the planet shit on me.
Lots of us have to deal with what you have to deal with.
February 8, 2010 at 1:56 am
One other thing. I am scared shitless that SP would end up losing this next election.
February 8, 2010 at 2:12 am
Excuse me, but Sarah Palin has a thicker political resume than the Obot.
February 8, 2010 at 2:28 am
“And believe me, I wish it wasn’t so!”
ROTFWL!!! Yeah, right.
I think you should go back to one of those intitutions you refer to – Huffpo, perhaps?
February 8, 2010 at 9:06 am
Sarah can turn any “knives” away with a wave of her “hi, Mom” hand.
Paris, quit being an eeyore.
Hillary was not loved by the MSM – Obama was, and that is one reason why he ended up as POTUS.
No one got a thrill down his/her leg over Hillary.
February 8, 2010 at 3:16 am
2016 will not be the year. I feel pretty confident that if Hillary mounts a primary challenge to Obama and succeeds in the primary, she will be president in 2012 if Palin runs against her.
If Obama runs again, he will only manage to win if he relents and moves to the center when the Republicans win back Congress in 2010. Then he may earn another four years like Bill did. Though I think he’s too beholden to too many radicals (and his own ideology) to abandon the far left.
Under that scenario, I could potentially see Palin running and winning in 2016, but it’s likely that the fervor on the right will have died down by then since the Republicans will have regained control of the Congress for probably the last 6 years. This means a more traditional candidate will probably win the GOP mantle.
If a Republican doesn’t win in 2012, then I’m fairly certain it will be a Republican in the White House in 2016, and if that’s not Palin then she won’t run in 2020.
I disagree with the “2012 or nothing” notion, but I think it’s either 2012 or at least 2020 or 2024. So 2012 is definitely her best shot in the next decade or so.
February 8, 2010 at 9:18 am
I do not believe any Democrat can win in 2012. Not unless the party completely reverses course direction from bottom to top.
February 8, 2010 at 10:26 am
I agree with Beth. If we do not have massive voter fraud, I think the winner of the Republican primary will take the White House in 2012. Americans that are paying attention are too reviled by the Marxists within the Democratic party to elect ANYONE within the party. It will take them more than a few years to clean house.
February 8, 2010 at 10:38 am
If the Leftists win, it can only be because the rest of us were ACORNed. Margin of ACORN in Ohio = 200,000 fradulent votes. Obama margin of victory in Ohio = 200,000 votes.
February 8, 2010 at 1:18 pm
2016 will be the start of Palin’s fiscal conservatism second term. Just like Reagan did. She will be just 53 by then and 57 by the time she leaves office.
February 8, 2010 at 2:41 pm
Eric
what about in 2032? Yes , she will have a hot that year when she will be like 70 years old!
I think the skeptics that said she would never be nominated, now they see this real possibility(Most polls) and are now saying she will be nominated but not win the general elections…
Just like Reagan LOL
February 8, 2010 at 12:25 am
Those people who need their minds changed. GET TO WORK. When you meet one, talk to them and educate them. Get them on the right side!
February 8, 2010 at 12:34 am
In a way I kinda agree with Paris. I believe McCain picked Palin because of her experience with Alaska’s energy ideas (remember, gas was $4 a gallon at the time he picked her) Everything was going great, she was electrifying, and then the financial world tumbled. Too perfect timing – was Soros behind this? I feel McCain and Palin would have won had there not been the financial meltdown. Could they do this again in 2012, sure they could! What crisis could they pull off next time?
February 8, 2010 at 12:42 am
Palin has already changed plenty of minds of independents who drank Obama’s Kool-Aid and woke up to an intense hangover. Next?
February 8, 2010 at 9:10 am
Good Morning, Hillbuzz Team! How is everybody coming along with recognizing and calling out trolls?
February 8, 2010 at 11:01 am
Also, didn’t Hillbuzz caution us not do exactly what Paris is doing? Namely, falling for the MSM version of events and picking our candidates b/c of the so called “conventional wisdom?” Weren’t we told we needed a moderate like McCain to “attract” independents and moderates? And what happened? They voted for Obama. Newsflash to Paris: ANY republican will be be vilified like Palin was and is. You are naive to think that Romney will not have the kitchen thrown at him. At least with Palin, we know she can handle it, others probably not so much.
February 9, 2010 at 1:48 pm
There is a line of thinking in much political discourse that is misleading. It goes like this: Democrats are liberal, Republicans are conservative, therefore Independents must be moderate. This is nonsense. Being independent simply means one is not affiliated with a party. Independents are all over the philosophical map. So PhillyCon is correct in saying its folly to nominate a moderate to attract independents. They are not necessarily there. Different Independents can be attracted to any ideology, depending on their own ideology. Its the degree of passion generated that will attract the most independents.
February 8, 2010 at 12:07 am
When McCain got the nomination (which I know was rigged— and I don’t believe in that stuff but I seriously have yet to meet anyone who voted for him….sorry, digressing)
When he was nominated, I thought “We’re toast”, THEN he made Palin his VP candidate and I thought “DAMN! OK, NOW we’re back in the game.”
She was the only interesting, charismatic, sane person on our side. Everyone else was either more boring that toilet paper or so far out there they used an UFO to go home at nights.
We need her for the “oomph” alone. Everyone else someone mentions is like, well, vanilla gluten free Kroger Cake.
February 8, 2010 at 12:17 am
Ha Ha. This post made me laugh!
February 8, 2010 at 12:19 am
Me too,hehe
February 8, 2010 at 12:08 am
The Hi Mom on her hand is hilarious. She’s awesome. :D.
February 8, 2010 at 12:10 am
Fan-freakin-tastic! I love it!
What first caught my eye, howevere, was the genuine tenderness in her face as she is touching that little girl’s face. You can’t fake that. She’s compassionate, sincere, and an America loving bad ass!!
February 8, 2010 at 12:19 am
“Hi Mom” is polarizing…
February 8, 2010 at 1:22 am
Good one!
February 8, 2010 at 1:22 pm
“Hi Mom” on her palm is sooo Real and ordinary people will love her more for that. Many middle class Gen Xs will remember their days in High School!
February 8, 2010 at 12:31 am
Palin-derangement syndrome is in full at Salon.com where they’re calling her “the meanest person in politics today” something like that. Mean and dumb they say when she is obviously loving and brilliant. Hi Mom is so amazing that I though you boyz had photoshopped it!
February 8, 2010 at 2:31 am
I think it was HotAir that photoshopped “Obama can kiss my ass” on her hand. Very funny.
February 8, 2010 at 3:18 am
I think Rahmbo is probably the meanest person in politics, and I think people on both sides would agree on that one.
February 8, 2010 at 12:31 am
Love her. Huffpo is just drowning in desperation aren’t they? I mean, going after a few words on her hand where their guy gets tongue-tied if the screen on the teleprompter blinks? Aren’t they smart enough to know that they don’t want to invite those kinds of comparisons?
I guess it’s good for us they aren’t smarter than that.
February 8, 2010 at 3:19 am
It’s hilarious that they criticize words on her hand, as if she’s taking a science test or something.
If anything, they should be APPLAUDING her that she can get through an entire speech with just a few words written on her hand, whereas Dr. Obamabot practically needs to be plugged directly in to his TOTUS in order to deliver any sort of lengthy remarks.
February 8, 2010 at 12:35 am
The trolls who say she can’t win, should look at the numbers for the McCain campaign after she came on board. The weekend, WEEKEND he announced her the republicans doubled their money. More money poured in, in the one weekend than had for the whole dang campaign.
Here’s the capper-my mom a registered life-long democrat, had me send the republican party $50 from her checking account because even she believed in Palin. And I might add she did follow up and voted for McCain & Palin as well. Don’t fool yourself-Sarah Palin CAN win!
February 8, 2010 at 10:58 am
I’m from Dayton, Ohio, a rustbelt city that has been run into the ground by Democrats for 50 years. The population is 40% black, and most of the white folks were UAW members working at one of the six GM plants we used to have here. So, if you’re a black Democrat, you were guaranteed to win whatever office you ran for. Until this year.
A totally unknown white neighborhood activist spent just $13,000 (raised about $50 at a time) to defeat the black Democrat incumbent, who spent 10 times more. And he did it running as an independent, with no support from the GOP.
http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/election/i-just-think-voters-chose-for-change-mclin-says-after-loss-384190.html
ANYTHING can happen, anywhere. In Ohio terms, this was just as amazing as Scott Brown winning in Massachusetts.
February 8, 2010 at 12:44 am
As I said over at C4P the far lefts constant attempts to manufacture scandals about Sarah Palin and how it keeps blowing up in their faces reminds me of Wile E. Coyote from the roadrunner cartoons.
The following clip doesn’t have the Roadrunner in it but it does have Bugs Bunny. Enjoy.
February 8, 2010 at 2:20 am
hey what a fantastic idea….
The roadrunner cartoons are always a blast because Wile E Coyote always loses.
We can build upon that particular theme. Every time the left tries on one with Sarah P, then there is always the come back… and the roadrunner is perfect…. :)
February 8, 2010 at 7:56 am
OUTSTANDING!
February 9, 2010 at 1:16 am
Sarah likes to run, too. Along the roads of Alaska :-)
February 8, 2010 at 9:45 am
Though the lefties think they are geniuses, they are just cheaters.
Alinsky = Winning by dirty tricks, thuggery.
I LOVE Sarah for turning the smears back on them.
February 8, 2010 at 9:47 am
And THANK YOU Hillbuzz for your time and effort to do the same for the good of the country!
February 8, 2010 at 12:49 am
Awesome. Just… awesome. So quick, too, like the people I always envy who can think of just the right thing to say at the right time (instead of hours/days later like I do). How on earth any sane person can suggest she’s dumb is just beyond me.
Hi Mom just gave me new hope.
Been lurking here ever since the apology to Bush. Thanks, guys, for what you are doing.
February 8, 2010 at 12:54 am
Not to be a bore, but repeat my idea that Palin be picked by Romney is 2012 as VP. As an active VP, perhaps Secretary of Energy (I think that’s constitutional since the cabinet is not created by the constitution), that’s how Palin gets her political legitimacy in the eyes of the doubters.
And no, VP is not an insult, a demotion, or anything other than perfect for her.
If Romney gets the nomination, I hope he has the imagination to consider such a move. She needs it, and he may need it to bring down Obama.
February 8, 2010 at 1:56 am
Romney is simply not electible. End of story. If the Republicans want Obama to get a second term, sure, they should definietly nominate Mitt Romney, but if they actually want to win, they need to steer clear of him. He is a consumate politician, an uber flip-flopper & he was responsible for foisting universal health-care on MA Those are not the kinds of qualities Americans are looking for in a candidate that is supposed to be “conservative”. Add to that, the fact that he has zero charisma and that he’s a mormon and his chances get even slimmer.
February 8, 2010 at 2:09 am
For very different reasons, I would judge Palin and Romney about equally electable. I give the edge to Romney, but not by much; too much is unknown at this point about the climate for 2012.
I think the wonderful religious background from which Obama hails makes Romneys LDS background less of an issue.
Kristie, ask yourself, if the election were held today, which states that McCain lost would clearly be won by Palin. If you’re serious you won’t find many, if any.
Whatever, if you want to pretend Sarah Palin doesn’t have a lot of political liabilities to go with her undeniable strengths, I can’t stop you.
So, just which states would Palin win the McCain didn’t?
I would vote for Palin; you need to convince the people who didn’t vote for McCain in 2008; to me the choice was pretty obvious.
February 8, 2010 at 2:38 am
First of all, as you yourself state, too much is unknown about the political climate in 2012.
Secondly, no, no, no to Romney.
Thirdly, you are a bore.
February 8, 2010 at 3:28 am
Your entire premise about comparing McCain states to potential 2012 Palin states is false on its face.
You could have asked every half educated voter about the liklihood of a Republican winning a Senate seat in Massachusetts and the ratio would have been 90%+ saying no way it would happen.
The anger against the direction this country is moving is palpable. So far, Obama hasn’t been completely tied to that direction (Congress has) but that is inevitable. He will become extremely unpopular unless he moves strongly to the center like Bill did.
If he doesn’t, the GOP could probably run a monkey against him and still get over 40% of the vote.
Romney has several problems. His religion is one of them, but I wouldn’t call it that big of a problem.
His main problem is that by 2012, I predict “Romneycare” is going to be nearly bankrupting MA, and that will become a huge boat anchor around his neck.
He’s also not good at debating. He doesn’t look friendly. He is horrible at taking criticism. It shows on his face and people are turned off by it.
Palin’s biggest credible criticisms are that she lacks experience in foreign policy/world affairs, and she’s a “beltway politics” novice. She also currently has a tendency to hedge her answers towards the populist side, and needs a little more debate skill on how to field unexpected questions.
All these things are easily, EASILY learnable by the 2012 election cycle.
Romney, however, will have a hard time changing his legacy of Romneycare, his flip-flopping (especially on abortion), or his slightly abrasive mannerisms.
I actually think Palin/Romney would be a much better ticket than Romney/Palin.
February 8, 2010 at 8:17 am
what states would Palin flip? you ask.
OH, VA, NC, CO, IA, FL, IN
and she has an outside chance of flipping MI.
she would also change which states were battle ground states.
states like NC and Va will be safetly placed in the red state camp. whereas the dems would be forced to place money and time in states like MI, PA, NV, NM.
Oh yeah and those states mention add up to about 100 EV’s.
since Obama won with 365 EV and you need 279 votes if Palin runs she has a very clear pathway for victory. If She makes the dems fight in MI instead of VA and NC she will be the next President.
finally most of those states above was carried by Obama with less than 5% of the vote. therefore not many hearts and minds need to be changed in order for those states to go red. In fact with the vote totals of the MASS, VA and NJ ALL of those states go red and we are looking at Battlegrounds in NY and CA. that is how bad the dems have screwed up. We could be looking at the first election since Bush 1 where a Presidental candidate gets over 400 EV and has a true manddate for change
February 8, 2010 at 9:13 am
It’s not Romney’s religion – it is the fact that he was Governor of Massachusetts when their health care plan was instituted. It’s a huge failure there, and Americans do not want the same thing to occur at the Federal Level.
Also, Romney is plastic, plastic, plastic. I’ve met him – there is emptiness in his eyes and coldness in his handshake.
His personality is the polar opposite of Sarah’s!
February 8, 2010 at 4:40 pm
So, Paris – do you think that Obama’s Muslim background is wonderful?
Romney is a phony flip-flopper – just check out http://www.massresistance.org.
Susan
February 8, 2010 at 7:32 am
As as independent I will NOT vote for ROmney, the ultimate wall streeter.
This line of eeyoring is getting pretty sad, now its all about SP as VP.
We already has another poster, forget who, on another thread, that said they are not voting for Palin, and the poster’s name was I think “conservative girl”
THis is a new line of eeyoring/attack, never thought I would see it from the conservative side.
Please by all means, stay home, don’t vote for Sarah Palin. We dems/indies will again be voting a candidate who is further in our belief than from beliefs.
What a bunch of whiny people.

ssmith,
This is what we conservatives have had to endure for years. Our candidates have to wait their turn and we get stuck with these old, white guys that smell of death. Ex. Dole, McLame.
We are over it. NO MAS!
We’d rather have a housewife who is fed up with the corrupt machine BS and is inspired to run and committed to making a difference for the sake of her children and her children’s children. We don’t want the good old boys same old same old BS.
We’d rather have someone who is NOT a career politician. Who has the principles of the Founding Fathers. Who believes like George Washington that you do your civic duty and then return to the private sector, not move over to K Street after you are booted out of office where you work for special interests and against the people while lining your own pockets.
We’d rather have someone who is concerned about the debt. It’s staggering, duh!
We’d rather have someone who wasn’t Marxist Ivy League indoctrinated, who paid their own way, who doesn’t believe they are a master of the universe and want to be elected to the House of Lords.
We’d rather have someone who has the pioneer spirit that made America great. Who knows how to hunt and survive in the wilderness. Who isn’t afraid of Putin etc.
We’d rather have someone who believes America’s greatest days are not behind her.
We’d rather have some fresh healthy attitude that doesn’t believe in “this is the way we do business in DC.”
Paris Paramus, keep doing what you are doing. You way means death.
See ya, wouldn’t want to be ya.
We’ve moved on.
February 8, 2010 at 8:32 am
I hope you are right substantively, but I am concerned (1) that you are wishfullt thinking, as is often done this far out (2)you aren’t even perceptive enough to seriously consider and address that I might be right.
February 8, 2010 at 8:37 am
Paris Parmus,
Sorry but you are wrong.
Your Romney old boys network went to work to sabatoge Palin before the conclusion of the 2008 campaign. Romney’s boys worked for McLame and they leaked the negative stuff about Palin to make Romney the front runner for 2012 AFTER the Bush White House Nicole Wallace set her up for the Katie Couric interview.
The Republican elites don’t like Palin.
That’s why we do.
It’s a new Republican Party. We took it over.
February 8, 2010 at 9:09 am
I think you are correct JRD! Americans need someone in the White House who will instill confidence, and who is able to speak directly and truthfully to them. That is something Sarah can do, I believe. That is what Ronald Reagan did. I remember him explaining how the economy would recover. I didn’t understand his tax policy at the time, but I was confident that he spoke truthfully, and that he would do what he believed was best for us, the people.
February 8, 2010 at 2:34 pm
The fact is, Paris’ criticisms do carry some water.
It would be foolish for all of us to say that Palin has no flaws and has no areas on which she can improve.
However, I think it is equally – if not more – foolish for people to focus so heavily ON her flaws, instead of on her strengths.
I see so many people like Paris who say “I like her, but I don’t think she’s electable”.
Well, if everyone who said that instead said “I know she isn’t perfect, but I’m going to work hard to help her get elected”, then I’d say the election was in the bag.
February 8, 2010 at 1:30 pm
Paris Hilton,
you would love a Romney nomination. You know damn well that Romney will never beat the first black president.
Romney is soo boring that he only managed to fill 20 followers in a coffee shop. Sarah will never run for VP again, nor she will be serving in nobody’s administration.
Romney’s nomination would ensure a Obama second term.
No white rich guy can bring down the first black president. Blacks and minorities will flock to him again and Obama’s racial campaign will be another hit.
February 8, 2010 at 2:38 pm
Maybe.
If the economy is still in the tank like this (or worse) by the election cycle, then Obama will be in the mid to high 30s approval (as I said before) a monkey could get 40% of the GOP vote.
Romney has some strength on economic/fiscal matters. The debates would be heavily overshadowed by business/jobs-centric topics and Romney will eviscerate Obama on those issues. He at least has a decent shot under this scenario.
However, I honestly believe that if Obama is in the 30s, Hillary will challenge him in the primary and win. In that case, Romney will not have a snowball’s chance in you know what of winning.
February 9, 2010 at 8:05 pm
EricP
The USA have had horrible economy before, even worst than today’s crisis but never had a Black President. This man is still young, attractive and charismatic…
He can come back and win with a 47% approval if his opponent is a boring, rich, white guy like Romney.
Romney does not know crap about economy. He doesn’t even believes in fiscal policies(Romneycare). He is just good in business, not economy!

I love this pic of her. Perfect. I am especially loving watching her grow on the national stage. Yes to a purple team.

The “hi mom” and putting her hand up so that it is seen very clearly is just too funny for words.
February 8, 2010 at 2:50 am
Love the picture (and the Miss Cleo ad)- would not read any of the articles about her hand notes (now I’m going to have to), but I love that she would be ON IT!
I can’t see any other politician or person of her caliber doing anything like this – such a major middle finger to the nuts and dolts.
Ya know, I have to admit I didn’t think she could run in 2012 and win. But while watching her at the convention, I realized how much she’s changed. She’s much, much stronger. She’s really coming into her own. In a couple of years, she’s gonna be a contender.
February 8, 2010 at 8:21 am
she hasn’t changed. It is just people are seeing her with fresh eyes. What you are now seeing is what her core supporters have always seen and that which the MSM tried to hide from votes.

AMERICA has a Pal in PALIN, she is the Heartbeat of America unlike the Foreign and Domestic enemies America has right now that are draining the life out of America AS A FAVOR TO OUR ENEMIES and to inflict a fatal blow to the Well Designed, by the Guiding Hand of God, Enterprise that the Foundings Fathers sacrificed so much to leave us.
SARAH “Erosionist Lieberals’s TERROR”, whenever she speaks they pee themselves like the undisciplined spoiled little children that they are.
Drill Baby Drill….Run Sarah Run!!!!
Palin/Bachmann 2012 OR SOONER!!!!
We have a Pal in Palin.
February 8, 2010 at 8:11 am
Why would we choose Romney when even McCain didn’t think he was worthy of the VP.
We need a team that will work together and make a major correction in this country back to sanity and the only ones I can see that are worthy of that are the ones that STOOD UP. I see Palin, Michele Bachmann, Jim DeMint and Inhofe …. that is about it.
Everyone else has been quiet of worse helping to destroy the country.
Our leadership has to come out of those I mentioned above. My choice is TWO WOMEN…which would be truly HISTORIC ELECTION.
We have a Pal in Palin.
Palin/Bachmann 2012 OR SOONER!!!

Romney would make a good Secretary of Economy or even Fed Chairman

BUT HE WAS THE HARVARD LAW REVIEW EDITOR!
The chattering class was entranced with candidate Barack Obama. So literate. So polished. So cool. We were assured that his lack of executive experience was irrelevant. After all, he ran a campaign. And then there were his years as a community organizer and Harvard Law Review editor, which showed… well… it showed something about his magnificent intellectual skills. But it turns out he lacks some key abilities — executive leadership, decisiveness, deal-making prowess, flexibility, and basic people skills — that are essential to a successful presidency.
This is not simply the conclusion of conservatives. The entire country witnessed his agonizing decision-making process on the Afghanistan war strategy. Now on health-care reform, his own party is frustrated and dismayed with the non-governing president. As this report notes:
President Barack Obama has left Democrats as confused as ever over how the White House plans to deliver a health care reform bill this year, following two weeks of inconsistent statements, negligible hands-on involvement and a sudden shift to a jobs-first message. Democrats on Capitol Hill and beyond say they have no clear understanding of the White House strategy – or even whether there is one – and are growing impatient with Obama’s reluctance to guide them toward a legislative solution.
…And some Democrats feel that every time they look to White House for clarity, they hear something different, as though the strategy is whatever the president or his top advisers said that day.
His floundering is not surprising, considering that Obama never ran a state, a city, or a business, and during his brief time in the U.S. Senate, he was never front-and-center in any significant legislative undertaking. Yes, he’s touted as an author, and he won the presidency (beating a flawed candidate who ran an awful campaign). But it turns out that all this was insufficient preparation to be chief executive and commander in chief.
In 2012, Republicans will look for a standard-bearer to retake the White House. And while a grounding in conservative principles will be essential to winning the nomination, voters might do well to consider what experience and what talents are essential for a successful presidency. They might look for candidates who have done something – other than graduating from Ivy League schools, writing memoirs, and giving frothy speeches. By 2012, the country might be ready for someone who knows how to get something done.
Someone who went up against Big Oil and won, someone who went up against the corruption in their party and won, someone who is not easily intimidated by the lame stream media, someone who is NOT afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.
SOMEONE WHO IS NOT AFRAID TO LEAD.

The far-left is incapable of refraining from sexual innuendo. (See: hand job, teabagger, etc.)
Considering that sex is their god, it’s not surprising. But I won’t ask them to stop, as it just shows the world how degenerate they really are.

The Palin Art of FU. I love it! This kind of reminds me of Jackie Kennedy’s great “P.B.O.” as she called it. The subtle delivery of the polite brush off to the ink-stained wenches of the press and society was all-time Classy.

Love Sarah, love the “Hi Mom.” What an absolutely refreshing politician she is. I love her integrity and honesty, and the way her transparency trips up the media and leftists–they expect her to play by THEIR rules, and she just simply laughs in their face and continues being herself.
She’s a joy to watch, she really is, and I hope beyond words that she is our next President.
Also–great site, guys. I find I’m visiting here multiple times a day now.
February 8, 2010 at 2:49 pm
There’s a reason the Russians dubbed her the “Arctic Fox” – she’s got great survival instincts.
This was her way of saying “pffffhhhttt” to the Liberals, and I just love it!
Even Erick Ericson over at RedState has been won over – he wasn’t sure about the Convention, but he went and was suitably impressed. He wasn’t sure about SP’s chances in 2012, but what he saw Saturday night convinced him that she has what it takes to win. He has seen how much she has matured politically in a very short time.
I read somewhere that she has people helping her learn policy EVERY DAY; FOX News is building a studio onto her house so that she can do feeds from there; and best of all, she is in such a remote location, she is away from the media feeding frenzy whenever she needs to be – they sure as heck aren’t following her all the way up there!
That’s our ‘Cuda! Don’t you know she’s got Barry wee-wee’d up every time she one-ups the media? Heh.
February 8, 2010 at 3:21 pm
ya know what I love about Sarah?? I saw the same trait in Hillary.
There is a basic curiosity and a basic urge to learn and learn constantly.

February 8, 2010 at 10:10 pm
There are three trends to watch in the next 2 years:
1. Sarah’s popularity is growing.
2. The Obama/Democrat policies are increasingly unpopular.
3. People are increasingly distrustful of the “Lamestream Media”.
All three trends show strong signs of continuing.
With Obama’s poll numbers in the tank, and the media unable to effectively shill for him, the conditions necessary to bring about a Palin presidency in 2012 only increase going forward.
You can stick a fork in Romney…he’s done.

some people spew hatred toward sarah simply to get a rise out of people- these kind of individuals can be ignored. others spew it because they’ve never had an original idea in their lives and just follow the liberal playbook like they’re supposed to. have you ever turned a light on in a dark room and seen the bugs running for cover? well, that’s what sarah’s light does to liberals. liberal men hate her because she’s more of a man than they are and they know it. liberal women hate her for no other reason than she’s drop-dead gorgeous and they’re not. it really isn’t any more difficult to understand than that. Madame President.. yeah, i kinda like the sound of that!
