Today is Ronald Reagan’s 99th birthday.
Next year is his centennial.
We believe one year from today Sarah Palin will officially declare her bid for the presidency, with the Reagan family at her side.
There’s a chance she’ll do this in Tampica, Illinois and not Wasilla, Alaska.
Governor Palin, if you ever read this, we hope you know you’ve got a ground team ready and willing to start hitting Iowa for you. You need to start early and not wait too long to get on top of the Caucus. Learn from the mistakes we all made on the Clinton ’08 campaign.
You can and will be the 45th president if you want it, Governor. We will do everything we can to help you.
One year from today, when you announce, we hope to be there in person to cheer you on.
Go, Sarah, Go!

February 6, 2010 at 3:19 pm
I heard, over the past two days, a poll out now has here as the Rep front-runner and could beat Utopia — I did not catch which poll. I think her time at Fox News is good for her as more people get to hear and see here without the filter of a propagandist press.
Great prediction!
February 7, 2010 at 5:03 pm
Could it be this one?
http://www.zogby.com/news/readnews.cfm?ID=1644
LOL at this:
“Palin looks to be stealing Huckabee’s thunder among Republican religious conservatives and working class voters. Huckabee is an ordained Southern Baptist minister, and his highest GOP totals still come from Born-Again Christians (15%) and weekly churchgoers (18%), but those numbers are about half of those drawn by Palin. Despite his populist economic message, he wins only 10% of blue collar Republicans.”
February 6, 2010 at 3:22 pm
HB,
From your pen to God’s ears. May it be so.
February 6, 2010 at 5:17 pm
Amen.
February 6, 2010 at 3:33 pm
Boyz,
Best prediction ever! Brings a tear to my eye just thinking of President Reagan and his Pride and Love of America. Wonderful connection of Sarah to Reagan. You Rock!!
February 6, 2010 at 3:36 pm
from reagan to palin!!
hillary cracked that glass ceiling with 18 million votes, Sarah is going to break that glass ceiling.. finally!!!!
February 6, 2010 at 3:42 pm
Sarah is giving the keynote speech at the Tea Party Convention tonight. C4P has a link. They’ve also posted the audio of her speech last night in Kansas.
February 6, 2010 at 7:04 pm
9 pm. ET. http://www.cspan.org is going to livestream it for those without cable.
February 6, 2010 at 3:45 pm
sounds great..but she has sooo many haters, i doubt if some can even state a good reason for the dislike..once in a while i catch the enemy at msnbc, and oh the vitriol!
imagine having a prez who works FOR the people, not against!
February 6, 2010 at 3:46 pm
BTW..did u hear this from a reliable source?
February 6, 2010 at 3:52 pm
I saw a Palin 2012 bumper sticker on a car in the parking lot the other day. It made me smile.
February 6, 2010 at 4:43 pm
LOVE THIS :)
February 6, 2010 at 5:19 pm
I saw one also.
February 6, 2010 at 3:56 pm
I felt my heart swelling with hope when I read your prediction. I long for the day when we have a President Sarah Palin being sworn in a POTUS.
I have to share a sad message, though. A friend of ours is going through a huge struggle right now. He is on our side against what is happening in government now; and he says he really really likes Palin. His struggle is that he firmly believes that- in his church- women should be under men. He is an older gentleman, and I fear that many of the older men still have this “old fashioned” thought. He told me that right now she’s the one he likes the best; but that he would have a terrific struggle voting for a woman for president or V.P.
I hope that he, and so many like him, can overcome this struggle and give their whole-hearted support to Gov. Palin.
February 6, 2010 at 4:03 pm
Tell him the President isn’t over the people, but their servant.
February 6, 2010 at 4:09 pm
Hey, that is a great idea!!! Thanks.
February 6, 2010 at 4:12 pm
EZBurns- BRILLIANT comment. Love it and so true!
February 6, 2010 at 5:50 pm
EZ something similar from Cicero,…”Lead in order to serve, not to rule”
February 7, 2010 at 5:07 pm
I think Palin is the only one out there right now that understands the role of a President.
February 6, 2010 at 5:39 pm
You might try agreeing with him. “Yes, I know how you feel. Many churches do not allow women to be in positions of authority over men. However, I’m not sure that the bible says this prohibition should extend beyond the church and the family.
In the bible, God occasionally chose women to accomplish his purposes. He used ordinary women to impact the world. Just as God raised up Esther and Deborah to act in a particular time in history for His purposes, I think he may have chosen Sarah Palin to make an impact on this generation.”
If you’d like to read about these great women, read the Book of Judges and the Book of Esther.
February 6, 2010 at 6:06 pm
Oops…good post Babchie…should have read it before I posted. :-)
February 7, 2010 at 1:57 am
give the example of Judith… look in Judges….
February 6, 2010 at 6:05 pm
I grew up in a very conservative church and this “rule” of sorts doesn’t apply to the government…it really only applies to positions within the church. While I know they are out there, I don’t think there are many. All of my family are extremely conservative Christians (I’m probably the most “radical” of the bunch) and I don’t know a ONE who wouldn’t vote for her.
February 6, 2010 at 7:02 pm
Well, I’m a real “fundie”. My church does not allow women to even teach Sunday School beyond the elementary grades if there are boys in the class! LOL! I don’t necessarily agree with such a strict interpretation, but it does keep me from being hoodwinked into jobs I don’t really want! (Other than that, it’s a good church.)
February 7, 2010 at 8:34 am
He and others like him need to be reminded that the teaching in the Bible is for marriage and the church ~note little c~. I know many strong women who run companies and law firms; but when it comes to their families, hubby has the final say. Someone has to have that responsibility and I for one am grateful that God set it up that way.
February 10, 2010 at 11:33 am
Tell your friend to read his bible in the book of Judges…Barak (ha-not kidding) asked Deborah to go to battle with him…she was the de facto judge of Israel at the time and Barak (ha-no kidding) was scared to go fight. Sarah Palin IS a Deborah…
See if that helps him a little bit.
February 6, 2010 at 3:57 pm
From your lips, to God’s ears.
February 6, 2010 at 4:11 pm
That would be amazing…I can just imagine if the Gipper were still alive how he would love/support our sister Sarah! Let freedom ring Boyz! I love you guyz!
SaraB
February 6, 2010 at 7:07 pm
I wonder if Sarah’s met Nancy Reagan?
February 6, 2010 at 4:25 pm
I have a question for the hillbuzz guys–I’ve enjoyed reading your posts the past few months, and joining in the fight for more conservative “public servants.” But right now you’re backing Sarah Palin if she decides to run. If Hillary, by some miracle does end up running in 2012, would you turn on Palin? I mean, I can see you backing Hillary because you guys have so much respect for her, but would you then completely turn on Palin and attack her, or at least say, “Hey, we think Palin’s great and she’d be a good president, we just prefer Hillary?”
February 6, 2010 at 4:47 pm
Hillbuzz would ABSOLUTELY NOT attack Sarah and that’s for sure!
February 6, 2010 at 5:48 pm
If you look in the archives, HB will support Hillary should she run.
If not, its Palin all the way.
If it is Hillary vs Palin, HB have stated they will not attack Palin, as you say they have stated ““Hey, we think Palin’s great and she’d be a good president, we just prefer Hillary?””
look in the past archives, they did a terrific post on this.
Some PUMAs like HB will support Hillary over Palin. Some PUMAs will go with Sarah. Both sets of PUMAs will not visciously attack either candidate, and defend them both against sexism.
Only policies will be attacked, not the person nor their families.
February 6, 2010 at 6:58 pm
Hey Boyz, Please tell us WHY you like Hillary. They hated her in Arkansas. She worked for Alinsky and wrote her thesis on him. He is the epitome of Marxist/Anarchist. He only wanted our country’s downfall. Okay–now–your turn.
I would truly like Gov. Palin to wait until 2016 when her family is older.
February 6, 2010 at 7:42 pm
Cute name, E-or. It fits. Bees only buzz here, so take your Eeyore droppings and scram because and all you’re bringing are flies.
*Attention Buzzers*: Watch out for the Eeyore droppings on aisle Hillary-Palin! Wouldn’t want anyone to dirty their shoes on such waste….
February 6, 2010 at 8:22 pm
Dear eor,
The significant change we seek to accomplish will only come from electing into political office those with “altruism” as their guiding trait.
Which candidate, would as a matter of principle, push the button to reset and re-establish our nations character; Thereby correcting the missguided course, and re-directing our nation forthrightly back to the course of our origination;… If, by pushing that button, they knew their own power would diminish and they would have to return to a private life outside of public office?
How many of our current leaders would push that button? How many currently wishing to seek political office would push that button?
Therein lies the “trait of character” that we must identify in the candidate, and support with outright urgency. It matters not which political party such candidate eminates from. Whoever we identify with the trait of altruism, for our nation, in this moment of significant challenge, that is the person we should recognize, trust, and champion.
with that in mind either Sarah or Hillary would be a win/win for our country.
February 6, 2010 at 7:08 pm
Hillary vs. Palin 2012 ???
Speak about a win-win situation!!!! America wins either way :D
February 6, 2010 at 8:14 pm
jodee–I’m asking a real question here. I’m not AGAINST anyone. Be nice.
February 7, 2010 at 12:09 am
I agree with you. Although their politics are on the opposite sides of center, I would be pleased to have either as president. I think they both love country, and that they both are pragmatists. I may not agree with each of them 100%, but I can live with that.
February 6, 2010 at 4:33 pm
I think Palin is way too smart to run in 2012. It’s not yet her time.
February 6, 2010 at 4:48 pm
NO time like the present..
February 6, 2010 at 4:58 pm
What better time would there be than right after The Fraud?
February 6, 2010 at 5:10 pm
If Palin runs, and IF she gets the nomination, Obama wins. I’m sorry, but this is reality. She is not respect by enough people. And frankly, I question is she is ready to be President. Obama wasn’t and isn’t qualified to be President, and nor is she, however I may love her positions.
As it is, beating Obama+MSM will be very tough.
Yes, I would vote for her, but no, not enough people will.
February 6, 2010 at 5:18 pm
Why dont you just give up then!? It is people like you that got us in this mess by being so damned defeatist! If you like her positions but dont think she can win, then guess what…DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! FIGHT IT! Convince people, educate them on her record. Obama was down 20 damn pts to hillary. Rasmussen had Palin down 6. Quit bitching, and get to work.
February 6, 2010 at 5:31 pm
TROLL ALERT? Sounds like talking points from the MSM…
February 6, 2010 at 5:36 pm
Sorry, the “troll alert” was for Paris’ post, not Dan’s. Really, Paris, how about reading something other than MSM and DNC talking points? Why is it that WHENEVER she says anything about anything everybody’s ears prick up? Not only that, but this is the BEST time- when people have had it with dishonest politicians and wants some fresh, real-life Americans who are “in your face” with Obama. She is already proving she can do that. When she said that about Rahm and the R word, I’ve never seen the W.H. react so fast! They know that if she says something you’d better listen! No, there is no better time than 2012 and no better candidate right now. Not even Hillary (right NOW anyway) commands such attention with every word she says.
February 6, 2010 at 5:46 pm
How about drumming up more respect for her then? We have 3 years and a lot can happen. Giving up now is what BO and the MSM wants.
All it takes is her being visible, day after day, week after week. Us posting on our blogs, emails, FB pages in favor of her. The reason the FEW have a negative view is because too FEW of us have been vocal.
And yeah, I vote Paris is a troll too.
February 6, 2010 at 6:08 pm
PP, “Sometimes you have to pick a fight, to learn how to win it!”
She WILL win and Bachmann will be Speaker in 2012, if not 2010!!
February 6, 2010 at 6:26 pm
seriosuly?
I am a democrat/independent and I would fight to make sure Palin wins.
I agree with the rest of the commentators. Troll alert.
and who even believes the MSM anymore anyways? And I say this as someone who would have both my TVs on Keith Olbermann to give him ratings.
NOW? I have cancelled MSNBS from my cable.
“As it is, beating Obama+MSM will be very tough.
Yes, I would vote for her, but no, not enough people will.”
Classic troll line. And if you are not a troll and genuinely expressing concern, then why the heck not fight to change any perceptions help out that way, instead of just complaining??
February 6, 2010 at 7:25 pm
Sarah’s got executive experience on all levels of government beginning at PTA Prez – Mayor – Governor. She was the most experienced of anyone on the 2008 tickets. Especially Obama, Biden and McCain.
February 6, 2010 at 4:36 pm
Just want to say thanks for all the great reporting from hillbuzz. From the great state of Texas, you guys always have a roof over your head if you come down this way. Love yall to piecessssssssssss. Keep up the great work!
February 6, 2010 at 4:49 pm
I know Michael likes Gov. Palin…but Ron Jr. don’t think we can count on him..don’t know about the others..
February 7, 2010 at 12:00 am
Definitely don’t count on Ron. He trashed her unmercifully on MSNBC as a commentator during the R convention. Cruel and meanspirited comments. As of a few years ago, I wouldn’t count on Patty either. I haven’t seen or heard about her much lately but when her dad died, she had a few choice words to say about conservatives. Sigh. It would be wonderful if both of their hearts could/would change.
February 7, 2010 at 12:13 am
That’s my thoughts about Patty and Ron. They are rebels of the family.
February 6, 2010 at 5:08 pm
please let it be go Sarah
February 6, 2010 at 5:16 pm
Whenever she announces. I am with her.
February 6, 2010 at 5:22 pm
When she does please let it be in IL, so I can be there.
February 6, 2010 at 5:32 pm
I noticed recently on this blog that some people are becoming a bit overzealous, and have gotten down to being a bit nasty to some of their fellow bloggers. I hope that everyone realizes that there is a broad spectrum of beliefs here, but more importantly regardless of our differences, we are united in our disgust for Obama, and many Democratic party leaders. With that in mind, can we at least be as civil as we can when addressing other’s comments, especially those that we don’t agree with? Remember, many have been here for quite awhile, and it’s not right to be disrespectful.
February 6, 2010 at 8:16 pm
I think I have seen this too – but could you give a general example so I can know if we are on the same page?
TNX
February 7, 2010 at 12:05 am
I’d rather not point anyone out. My comments are made to make people think about civility. Most people will understand what I am getting at, but more than likely, the biggest offenders won’t have a clue.
February 6, 2010 at 5:36 pm
As for this blogpost, I would love, love, love for Sarah Palin to run in 2012. As a Hillary supporter who voted for Palin (and then McCain), I would be hard pressed to vote against her, even if Hillary was her opponent.
February 6, 2010 at 8:21 pm
I too would love to see Gov. Palin as President. It is her family I fear for. There are evil people out here. A lot of people will have had time to figure this out by 2016.
February 6, 2010 at 11:47 pm
Yes, this is a pro-Palin site, but it is even more a pro-Hillary site. These are moderate Democrats who will support Hillary to the chagrin of many of the newer conservative bloggers on this site. There is still much anti-Clinton hate on conservative blogs which is a bit disheartening to me. If Rush Limbaugh had not promoted his operation chaos, Obama may have likely lost by a considerable margin to Hillary Clinton, and FObama would have slithered back to Chicago. I blame Republicans as much as ignorant fauxgressive Democrats with FObama’s victory because many ensured that FObama won the Democratic nomination, and many millions stayed home on election day because they couldn’t stand the idea of voting for McCain. In the mean time, millions of us Democrats who understood the danger of FObama crossed party lines to vote for the McCain/Palin ticket. How many of you would have voted for Hillary if she were the Democratic candidate running against some Republican with extremist ideas? I am guessing that some of the people posting here, due to Clinton derangement syndrome, would have easily voted against Hillary without giving it a second thought.
February 6, 2010 at 11:59 pm
I am not worried for Sarah’s family. When she was running for VP, there was probably less security for her family during that time than she would have if she occupied the White House. Nothing happened to her family during the 2008 campaign, and I seriously doubt that anything would happen to her family if she won the presidency. Also, nothing happened to George’s family while he was in office and the rabid left despised him.
As for your comment about Alinsky and Hillary Clinton, it may be a bit unfair. First, Hillary’s roots are Republican. Second, just because she did a paper on Alinsky did not mean that she agreed with his ideas or his methods. She also turned down an offer to work with Alinsky. I think her refusal to work with him or for him says something about her belief system.
February 6, 2010 at 5:45 pm
Yeah, everyone who doesn’t think Palin can win is a troll–nice standard.
I don’t get my news from the MSM. I don’t even own a television. I just temper my enthusiasm with a sense of how unpopular Palin would be in Blue states, and purple-trending blue states. Yes, Obama has been exposed, but Obama is still not that unpopular (though he should be. And there’s an excellent change that the economy will not be as bad as it is today in 2012.
You know, you would have more credibility if your response to someone who doesn’t agree with you wasn’t….”TROLL.” That’s pathetic.
February 6, 2010 at 6:15 pm
I truly believe that many voters in those Blue states will not be the same by 2011. Mass. is the bluest of blue! Fool me once ,shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!
February 6, 2010 at 8:24 pm
I so hope you are right. The metro areas of our state just keep voting more and more handouts. I don’t have much hope for those Blues.
February 6, 2010 at 6:57 pm
From past comments of your’s, I don’t believe you to be a troll. Although I like the troll dissection post found on this blog, it has certainly led to a lot of troll accusations lately. In that respect, I don’t like the end result.
I disagree that Sarah Palin’s time is not 2012. I base that on how quickly people have turned on the hope dope. I believe that Sarah has the opportunity to state her case now and reintroduce herself to those that were initially skeptical about her.
February 6, 2010 at 7:21 pm
Palin is about serving the nation. She will go in 2012 because she believes she has no alternative, not because she believes it is not her “time”.
The Left is making the same mistake in attacking her that people in our party made when they relentlessly attacked Hillary. They only make her stronger.
February 6, 2010 at 10:29 pm
I’ve been reading his past comments the past week or so too and i’m not quite sure I agree with you on this.. the is he a troll not Sarah.
February 6, 2010 at 7:20 pm
Paris is not a troll.
February 6, 2010 at 7:44 pm
Paris, I asked the same question about a week ago, and someone insinuated that I was a troll too. Actually, I think it is a natural question to ask. I appreciate the “boyz” position on this.
Please don’t get put-off by an erroneous “troll” accusation. I’m sure the person was just being cautious.
February 6, 2010 at 8:36 pm
Here is what I have been seeing. I am a newbie too, and I cannot say how much I appreciate those of you who were smarter than me and found this place back in the day.
Lots of folks are very enthusiastically trying to learn how to fight back. We are learning the lessons at the knees of the masters.
As with all young people, we sometimes get carried away with what we are learning.
My hope is that the elders can be patient with us and show us the error of our ways, when in fact we are wrong.
I understand it must be annoying to be falsely accused. But we are just kids, and we need you to raise us up right, not kick us out of the nest for being obnoxious.
I’m just saying:-)
February 6, 2010 at 8:33 pm
This is a Pro-Palin site in a Pro-Palin blogpost, what the hell else were you expecting? Attaboys all around?
Paris: Pathetic? Really? If you want to walk like a troll and talk like a troll, don’t snivel and whine when someone calls you a troll.
You know, you would have more credibility if your response to someone who doesn’t agree with you wasn’t….”Stop pointing out that I sound like a Troll or I’ll call you pathetic!”
Trolls and troll imitators are gonna be called out here, get over it.
February 6, 2010 at 5:50 pm
(sorry for the typos chance, not change; and purple-trending red states, not blue).
February 6, 2010 at 6:13 pm
Well..they said a R couldn’t win in Massachusetts too but..and depending where you get your information from Obama is that unpopular and Palin is more popular than you think she is. ACORN and unions helped cheat Obama into office..but we the people are all aware now and definitely on the lookout for this garbage and WE will not let it happen again…
February 6, 2010 at 6:17 pm
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

February 6, 2010 at 7:51 pm
My favorite quote. I have it written in every notebook I carry around.
February 6, 2010 at 10:58 pm
My Facebook quotation section just got a bit larger. :)
February 6, 2010 at 6:33 pm
frankly, its not the purple or even light red states, its some of the deep red states that Sarah might have issues, if the far right unyielding conservatives are enough in numbers.
I am pro-choice, a social centerist/moderate, but very conservative when it comes to fiscal, national security, indiv rights, judicial issues, I will enthusiastically vote and campaign and donate to Sarah.
Its the purist conservatives that are just as much ideologues and buy into the lies the MSM feeds without realising that the power that you think MSM has to shape opinions is drastically diminishing.
and serisoly, if the repubs are stupid enough to put Romney up, I’m staying home. You want the ultimate wall streeter in charge??
The MSM will turn on him vicisiously, that’s why they want romney to run… they will very vicisiously turn on him, just like they did with Mccain once he was the nominee.
I will just help people like marco rubio and scott brown get elected to balance things out.
February 6, 2010 at 7:48 pm
I hope that “somebody” with some sense realizes that putting up Romney would alienate more Christians than they would attract. I’m not saying that Romney is a “bad man”. (To be honest, I don’t know if he is or if he isn’t.) I just know that a lot of Christians are skeptical about Mormans.
February 6, 2010 at 8:30 pm
I am not a Mormon but grew up amongst them and can attest to the fact that they are good family oriented people who take care of there own and their communities. I doubt many are on welfare. They are hard workers with real solid values.
February 6, 2010 at 8:49 pm
I’m not christian, I really never understand why people have an issue with Romney being a Mormon.
I really don’t care where he is mormon or not.
My main concern is he will be protrayed soo much like an ultimate wall streeter. THe MSM is priming the pump for Romney, only to take him down later.
Always remember, the MSM is an extension of the democrats.
I’m sure he is a nice man, but he will not be able to win.
As a democrat/Independent I might hold my nose and vote against the Marxist in the WH.
BUT.. people want real change, they want a Reagan, who I did not understand until recently when I was listening and understanding what he stood for.
February 6, 2010 at 10:42 pm
Because Mormonism is concerned a cult religion by most mainstream Christians..due to the emphasis placed on Joseph Smith (like a second savior, as important as Christ) and the “second revelation” (The Book of Mormon…)
Christians believe there is one important Savior “Jesus Christ” no one else. They also believe the Bible is the only word of God..not to be added to or taken away from. Thus why a lot of Christian would have a hard time supporting Romney.
February 7, 2010 at 2:28 am
I am an outsider, and I must say that Romney being a Mormon could be a sticky point for many folk.
However, after the way he handled himself and Scott Brown’s campaign I do think that the man could be good for the country.
Also, I do think that people should stop with the stereotyping such as “ultimate Wall streeter”
I have seen nothing from Mitt Romney that suggests that his background is “bad”.
He has a lot of the necessary attributes and experience for being President: Governor experience, executive experience… etc.
I think that Romney and Palin are the strengths. I think the weakness is Newt Gingrich. I do not believe that Newt would be a good choice.
February 6, 2010 at 6:18 pm
Paris…it’s funny because I’m less worried about the blue states and purple states and more worried about the hard right conservatives. I’m getting a lot of guff from some of my hard right friends because of her supporting McCain (which is totally dumb considering how bad she would look if she abandoned him). She is SO much more middle right than people realize and as time has gone by, people are seeing that. Consider her Beck interview…he called out McCain and sort of gave her crap about that too.
She is probably more like Brown than a lot of people realize. Overall…and I know this is a novel concept…but she is a TRUE represenatative of the people who elect her. So she is not one to pushing her muscle around to push her own personal agenda, if that is NOT what the people want. For instance, if she were Obama and for some reason thought that Universal Healthcare would be a good thing…she would most certainly have abandoned that push once she saw that the American people were totally against it at the townhalls. And I sincerely think she thinks a lot of social issues should be dealt with on a local level.
This of course, doesn’t mean she will not stand up for what she believes in, but she will not use her power to get what she wants…instead she will try to inspire and show through her actions what is the morally right thing to do (in regards to such social issues like abortion).
I am suspecting that over the next year or so, while she will be more and more agressive towards Obama, she will also present herself as a true fiscal conservative and social moderate.
February 6, 2010 at 7:24 pm
I think people, especially conservatives, understand that McCain introduced her to the American people by putting her on a national ticket. She is returning the favor. It says alot about her character.
February 6, 2010 at 7:33 pm
I agree, but this hasn’t stopped some people from continuing to criticize her. These are the same people who didn’t vote and helped get Obama elected…they are probably feeling guilty.
On C4P they had a good quote from Ronald Reagan which I posted on one of these nay-sayers FB thread…
My 80% friend is not my 20% enemy.
February 6, 2010 at 7:35 pm
GMOM: Good point, sometimes the conservatives are toughest bunch of people. The Dan Riehl blog that I normally like has turned on Palin for a number of reasons. Hillbuzz is right, the GOP and its ilk are the biggest bunch of defeatists known to mankind. You should read some of the crap they say about her, and this is supposedly people who believe in the “cause.”
I have no idea who these “right wing” folks think can beat Obama … Romney, Pawlenty, Huckabee?
February 7, 2010 at 2:32 am
Yuk to both Pawlenty and Huckabee
Of those three only Romney comes across the right way. He is moderate on most things, but he is not an MSM meme moderate.

Check out this long article in the New York Times … Yep, that’s what I typed … THE New York Times about all Palin has been doing under the radar for the last few months.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/06/us/politics/06palin.html
Including receiving daily morning briefings on national and domestic issues and quietly assembling a team. I bet she gets more briefings than BO.
Read that article in the NYT!!!! and see if you still think she’s not doing everything she can to be ready in 2010 if she feels the time is right.
Also. Check the HB archives for their fantastic article on how 2012 is Sarah’s year as 2004 was Hillary’s. And 2008 was BO’s. He, too, was told it was too early. But he went for it. Hillary didn’t.
Sarah will if she feels it’s the right time.
February 6, 2010 at 6:55 pm
That’s 2012 in the third paragraph – not 2010.
February 6, 2010 at 6:51 pm
I hope the prediction comes true. She will clobber the Dems.
As I’ve said on other blogs, anyone that thinks she hates gay people, read her book!
February 6, 2010 at 7:07 pm
We really need to get on those icks in Washington and get ACORN and Obama’s thug unions out of our pocket. There is another $4 billion attached to something for ACORN. I can’t remember if it was the health care bill or the NEW stimulus bill. Maybe neither will pass anyway.:)
February 6, 2010 at 7:20 pm
Isn’t it time for all of us to get “Palin 2012″ bumper stickers and T-shirts, just to let the country see how many people support her?
Face it, if she hadn’t been on the ticket, McCain would have been toast from the get-go. There is no way he would have gotten the support he did without her on the ticket.
February 6, 2010 at 7:24 pm
Here’s a site where you can order “Palin 2012″ gear. http://www.therepublicanexpress.com/
February 6, 2010 at 8:14 pm
You are absolutely correct. Many ‘purists’ and “Well, I’m–I’m just saying” Eeyore couch-sitters forget that.
McCain was dead in the water until the Sarracuda pumped new life into him.
Can’t get elected? They can go sell that somewhere else.
February 6, 2010 at 8:41 pm
Miss jodee–I’m too old to play your games. If that is a recent picture you could call ne Great-grandma. Be nice.On the subject of McCain. I was not excited about voting until Sarah came on the scene. She represents the kind of women in my family. I remember my Mom fixing tires 40 mi. out in mts.& a true lady.
February 6, 2010 at 9:05 pm
Nice has nothing to do with it. (And neither does age.) Pro Palin blog, Pro-Palin post. It’d be ‘nice’ to remember that before posting Eeyore, Troll or Purist sounding posts. For an example on how, see Bev’s non-troll post below for the way to make sure you are not mistaken for one.
I’m not holding hands for anyone on this, sorry. There have been too many attacks on the Boyz lately and regular HillBuzzers are on alert for it.
Search the Boyz posts on this subject and you will see why so many here are weary of dealing with it ‘nicely’.
February 6, 2010 at 9:07 pm
That being said, I am in agreement with the rest of your response to me.
I hope that clarifies my stance on this issue.
February 6, 2010 at 7:40 pm
I also believe that Sarah can win in 2012. By then, regardless of the unemployment rate this country will be so tired of Barry the vast majority will be ready to send him on his merry way. It’s even possible some of his hidden info will come out and he may have to leave early or not run for reelection. Either way the country will be ready for Sarah.
Other than the far left, most women like Sarah. Just think about all the Rep/Con women who hated Hillary. If the primaries hadn’t been stolen from her, she very likely would have been president regardless of the hatred from the right. Sarah can win regardless of the hatred from the left, which are far fewer in numbers. Recent polling shows liberals at about 20%. Another factor in this is that women are so pissed off after what transpired in 2008, you can almost smell the revenge in the air.
Also, take into consideration that BClinton was the first Dem pres to win two terms since Roosevelt. This country has proven time and again that it prefers R’s as presidents. Sarah has a great shot at winning in 2012.
February 6, 2010 at 9:33 pm
I hope so, Mich. We are going to need a true conservative. And, If I can be so bold as to say, Thomas Sowell for VP!
I’m dying to see a true AA in high office and not and not a fake.
February 7, 2010 at 5:53 pm
Ooh, Thomas Sowell! Now there’s a man I would love to have seen as our first black president, and he would have been a good one! I dare say the economy would be in better shape if he were in there making decisions! Obama will lose in 2012 as long as a third-party candidate doesn’t split the vote. That has happened too many times.
February 6, 2010 at 7:46 pm
I’m thinking we can do better than Sarah, as much as I love her. She’s not ready, nor is she electable. I demand more. Hillary totally screwed herself by becoming Secretary of State. Not that I’m a huge Hillary fan (still can’t forget the nonsensical “vast right wing conspiracy” BS) but I wish she were available compared to the alternatives. I’m just not willing to hitch myself to anyone now and am hoping that we can find someone better than is now on the radar. We should be demanding someone better
February 6, 2010 at 7:49 pm
Can anyone spot the troll?
February 6, 2010 at 8:02 pm
Boyz, maybe it’s time for a couple of new graphic elements in the margins of the comments section … a big scarlet T, E (or perhaps a donkey in that color?), and P …
February 6, 2010 at 8:32 pm
Wow…that’s a very obvious troll….
February 6, 2010 at 8:43 pm
yep!
apparently no one is good enough… concern trolling against Hillary
and then concern trolling against Sarah.
Must be getting paid overtime! :)
February 6, 2010 at 8:38 pm
Steve851: Yawn! I’ve heard the ‘hitching the wagon’ argument so many times I could recite it in my sleep and still make a better argument than yours above.
Go, take a break, refill your Mountain Dew and try again.
February 6, 2010 at 8:11 pm
There simply noone better than Hillary. You should wake up and smell the roses. My wish is that Hillary and Palin on the same ticket as independent candidates.
If it turns out to be Hillary vs. Palin, I will support the more experienced candidate Hillary. Obama will be so injured by 2012′ he will chose not to run, and you can count on that. Obama is a lameduck.
Sarah has done great things in Alaska and she knows how to kick butt and get those entrenched interests out of the picture, that what I like about her. SHe also is not pushing her religion on us.
February 6, 2010 at 8:30 pm
Okay…I’m going to be called a concern troll but I digress. I don’t think she will run for president in 2012 and I don’t think she is ready to. There is a big push right now to split the Republicans…making the Tea party versus the conservatives and for the Democrats that would be a holy grail. If the vote is split the Democrats will win.
I am more inclined to think Hillary will challenge Obama. What are you going to do if Sarah Palin ran against Hillary? Of course you’ll go for Hillary.
I don’t think Sarah will do anything to hurt the Republican chances of winning in 2012. I think Mitt Romney will run (that’s my opinion). I think he is the strongest candidate. I think Sarah will be out there supporting him.
If Sarah took the tea party movement and made it a third party…just call the Democrats and congratulate them now. But she has said already several times she is not going to do that. She’s too smart. She needs a few years but she’ll get there.
February 6, 2010 at 8:33 pm
And no I’m not a troll…I’ve been posting here forever…I have proof…you can search my personal data all day long…lol.
February 6, 2010 at 8:47 pm
You don’t sound like a troll at all, there is a very specific demoralizing way that a troll tries to interact.
I disagree with you on Romney. (Too ‘politics as usual’ fakeness to me.) And you disagree with me about Palin. That’s A-OK!
And your post is solidly argued and not meant to demoralize the spirit of the post. Sooooo not troll-ish!! :)
February 6, 2010 at 8:51 pm
I want to add,in my opinion, the Tea Party movement is about taking back the Republican party and returning to principles, not about trying to split it or, God Forbid, start a 3rd!! Aye Dios Mio!
February 6, 2010 at 9:18 pm
True…it’s not…but there are those out there that WILL try. The “fringe” will try to split the tea party into different factions and I think it’s great that they are defining more specifically what the tea party is so that won’t happen. It’s so, so important that we don’t let the Ross Perot effect happen. Sarah has talked about this herself …I trust her when she says she knows this can happen and won’t let it happen.
February 6, 2010 at 8:46 pm
Hillbuzz–I’ve seen you referenced several times today on other sites. You are appreciated by a lot of people. Keep doing what you are doing!
February 6, 2010 at 11:09 pm
I am of two minds when it comes to Sarah running in 2012. I think that 2012 is the right time for her to run because the momentum that she has now will not last for six years. On the other hand, she does need a little more “seasoning” if you will to get her stronger in interviews even though she has vastly improved. I think that the way she was treated in previous interviews have made her a little “gun shy” and I am looking forward to her getting back in her game. She completely eviscerated her two opponents in the Alaska primary debate and if you look back at interviews she made before being picked for VP she was a lot stronger.
All that being said, I do hope she runs in 2012 and I will work towards her winning the presidency.
