We are 100% certain we have identified the 39-year old man in Birmingham, England who attacked us, called one of us a racist by name, ran his photo in an attempt to prompt physical attacks on him here in Chicago, and libeled and defamed him on his site TheBigotBasher.wordpress.com.
Thanks to the work of many sleuths out there, the dossier we have compiled on this man, when printed out, is now about 30 pages long.
It’s one helluva read, folks.
TheBigotBasher has used multiple aliases in the last two years, on sites like Daily Kos, DemocraticUnderground, Rumproast, Bettycracker, and various dating sites in Europe, as well as Ebay, YouTube, and sites talking about video games and “The Simpsons” cartoons.
His first name is Eamonn.
His last name will soon be Mudd.
All we need now is a solicitor in England who will help us understand what needs to be done to file suit against him for libel in Britain. This will be a learning experience for us, and for all of you out there, because we’ve never even known anyone who’s had to sue someone in a foreign country for libel.
But, as we understand it, TheBigotBasher will have to pay all court and attorneys fees when we win judgment against him. In addition to whatever damages the court awards.
Today is TheBigotBasher’s very last chance to take down every reference to us as a site, and to us as individuals, before we unleash an absolute world of hurt upon him using every available remedy under British law.
And to all the other PUMA Hunters out there, who have been trolling here in the last week, you better believe you will be next just as soon as the dossiers are complete on you, too.
For whatever reason, none of your other victims ever took you to the mat before and you’ve gotten away with these attacks (all inspired by Obama, the Hope and Change candidate, ironically enough), but you are not going to get away with it this time. Whoever is prodding you to do things like this, at the DNC or wherever, is not going to get away with it.
Anyone with a good lead on a British solicitor who will help us, or anyone with a good working knowledge of British law, please chime in on this thread and walk us through how a libel case works in Britain and what, exactly, will happen to a man like “TheBigotBasher” in England when charges are filed against him.

Good for you guys! Let us know how we can help.
January 27, 2010 at 6:39 am
Right now I am over tapped, Major car repair. Hopefully I will be able to help next month. I am so proud of you guys, and everyone here.We all have to stand strong and fight in what ever way we can to help this country.
January 27, 2010 at 6:58 am
Hi Folks!
Thank you for your service!
You need to talk with Michael Savage, for he’s going tru the same ordeal, and has done a lot of trailblazing on this matters.
Do not make the mistake of prejudging Mr. Savage.
Thanks, again, for all your work.

CAN you all help me fight people regarding factcheck and scopes with proof they are liberal bias reporters. I am needing to prove this as I beleve it to be true but cannot find documented proof. thanks
January 27, 2010 at 12:30 pm
Sarah,
factcheck.org is a “Project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center” (their description), so I would consider them to be questionable. Annenberg also founded educational projects that Obama and Ayers were involved with.
As far as snopes.com is concerned, I personally believe they are correct most of the time. At least, I don’t think they intentionally slant their responses.
January 27, 2010 at 1:50 pm
Snopes IS biased. Someone forwarded me an email of a picture in a store window, saying they would be closed on September 11th to “to commemorate to the martyrdom of the Imam Ali.” So, I went to check it out, and here’s what I found.
http://www.snopes.com/rumors/photos/martyr.asp
Snopes conclusion is that is was “False.” Unlike other things they declare “Mixed” for things like right photo, incorrect attribution. The sign in the store was real, but because they said the picture was correct, it was not to honor one of the 9/11 hijackers.
I’d still called that a “mixed” result and not flat-out “false,” wouldn’t you?
January 27, 2010 at 8:26 am
Boyz, here’s a thought: why don’t you contact Melanie Phillips in Britain, who’s very conversant with American affairs and who follows quite a few blogs — and perhaps lately also yours as well (she covered Brown’s victory for the Spectator). No doubt she knows of quite a few solicitors who would be able to help.
http://www.melaniephillips.com/
January 27, 2010 at 10:09 am
This seems like a good suggestion. Phillips is very level-headed and very aware of the false accusation issue.
January 27, 2010 at 2:26 pm
I agree. Phillips is on the cutting edge of conservative politics and no doubt, the left in England can’t stand her. I wonder if she’s had any issues that have resulted in her own need for legal services. (For anyone not familiar with her, she is a brilliant thinker and writer.)
January 27, 2010 at 8:33 pm
How about Toby Harnden? He has a clue about Utopia and has been dressing him down from Day 1. I think he would like your cause.
January 27, 2010 at 8:32 am
This article may help explain the libel laws in the UK – http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2006/aug/31/news.politicsandthemedia
You might send that link to WordPress, as according to the article, the ISP can be help liable for libel as well as the writer in some cases.
If nothing else, it might help to get them to drop the site.
I’d send it to google also, tell them to delete the cached copies of those evil blogs that make reference to you.
January 27, 2010 at 8:42 am
This is a good fight; bless you for it.
Maybe the single most effective and destructive tactic is to accuse someone of racism.
It is a bogus, unfair, cruel and childish tactic, but effective.
You folks may be leading the single most important cultural charge in decades, to punish those who use this tactic.
Bless you many times.
January 27, 2010 at 9:02 am
All I know about British libel law, I learned from QBVII. Great book – wrong ending for this story!
I bet your friend Lady Lynn has a few good contacts… Just saying.
January 27, 2010 at 9:11 am
Who said this about John Edwards?
“I think he’s disgusting. I don’t think the guy has a soul.”
answer Senator Clair McCaskill. Even she is saying bad things about Edwards.

January 27, 2010 at 9:17 am
I too was going to suggest Michael Savage. I believe he put the information on his website concerning the libel and slander that came his way. I don’t listen to him but I think he’s had the same type of attack as you.
I’m tapped out at the moment because of Haiti but can help a little next month.
January 27, 2010 at 9:48 am
Hi Hillbuzz,
I’ve been a regular reader of your site for a few months now and I completely abhor the tactics being used against all of you. There is no acceptable excuse for those on the far left to respond to you in such a fashion simply because you spoke your mind.
My sister works for a law firm in Birmingham, U.K. I am emailing her to ask if she might know somebody.
January 27, 2010 at 9:49 am
Is this Eamonn guy Wonk Hussein?
January 27, 2010 at 10:21 am
I only know of one solicitor in England and I would not recommend him to my dog but do have friends in England and will try to find out for you.
January 27, 2010 at 11:41 am
Hey Hillbuzz guys…
You need to talk with the guy on Facebook who has been tracking this Ellie Light creature. He has tracked it back to a PR firm in England…so he’s on a trail overseas which is beginning to look like a pattern, doesn’t it?
Sounds like a George Soros scam …..wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
January 27, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Don’t go bashing on folks whose last name is Mudd. It’s a legitimate, if unfortunate, last name. Take off the 2nd “d”.
January 27, 2010 at 1:49 pm
“His name was Mudd” is a historical reference, to the man who gave shelter to John Wilkes Booth after he assasinated Abraham Lincoln. It is a commonly used phrase in American writing and speech.
Of course it’s a legitimate name. Much like Benedict Arnold is also legitimate.
January 27, 2010 at 1:46 pm
This might be a lead.
http://bartcopnation.com/
Then click on the forum link icon on the middle right part of the screen. I mention it because of the name bart cop and the depiction of them being a red neck progressive.
They clearly hate George Bush. I did not research what they had to say about Hillary Clinton however.

[...] When someone without a brain in her head points out you have no soul, you’ve got problems and Solicitor in Great Britain Needed: We Believe We Have Enough On TheBigotBasher To Prosecute for Libe… and Guaranteed to piss tons of people off today: we now want every last Democrat in elected office [...]
January 27, 2010 at 2:57 pm
OK guys, I think I’ve got my head around this all. Are you still wanting that chart? I can make one up when I get home. I know you’ve got info you haven’t shared, so I’ll make it very plain and simple, so you can add in the rest. But, it seems that despite all the names involved, there’s only a very few actual people involved.
Unless someone got to this faster (quite likely) and you don’t need visuals anymore. . .
January 27, 2010 at 3:33 pm
Britain has one of the harshest libel laws in the Western world. It is definitely the wrong place to start a defamation campaign from.
Ask Sean Gabb for advice:
Dr. Gabb can be contacted for further comment at 07956 472199(mobile) or by email: sean@libertarian.co.uk

January 27, 2010 at 3:33 pm
I think that there are more names involved than you think.
Also I might make this a shout out to Mrs Polly who wants a cracker.
January 27, 2010 at 3:35 pm
Maggie,
You are wonderful. If we ever get to Australia, we hope to meet you.
Does anyone you know have any contacts in Britain to put us in touch with a lawyer there?
January 28, 2010 at 4:20 pm
Unfortunately I do not have British contacts :(
January 27, 2010 at 4:38 pm
Ha, I noticed the Polly-Cracker thing,too, got a little chuckle. . .
As for names, there’s lots of names. What I’m trying to pare everything down to is the essential people. Right now I’ve got it to five essential people: One at the top, a middleman, and three “soldiers”. A very classic set-up, very much like the old shinobi– Jounin set the goals and missions, Chunin (literally, “middleman”) carried the message to the Genin, who did the actual work.
Of course, there could be additional people to fill in certain places, but there’s also a lot of red herrings around that we need to be careful for. . .
January 28, 2010 at 4:25 pm
sorry I could not help myself when I saw the name Mrs Polly. It just lends itself to:
“Polly wants a cracker”… :)
Right now though there is a nursery song going around in my head:
“Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick.
so she called for the doctor to come quick, quick, quick…”
and another one:
“Polly put the kettle on… and we’ll all have tea”…..
But Polly the cockatoo fits quite neatly :)
January 27, 2010 at 8:04 pm
If you go to:
http://www.rumproast.com/index.php/member/memberlist/
A lot of interesting names can be found. Like, pretty much everyone on this side of the pond who’s been mentioned before. Including the ever-elusive Wonk Hussein.
January 27, 2010 at 4:01 pm
way to go, boyz! keep up the good fight… we’re all behind you.
January 27, 2010 at 4:37 pm
good afternoon all,
I just wanted to stop by and tell y’all what a wonderful site you have here! I have stopped by numerous times, and have never felt like an outsider, or uncomfortable at all. I must admit that yes, I am a very staunch “fiscal” conservative , but when it comes to a “social” stance, well, I’m fairly libertarian. Thats all, just a tip-o-the hat to you guys.
sorry for the O/T, couldn’t help myself
God bless y’all
January 27, 2010 at 5:50 pm
I’m with Cowboy….fiscal conservative, pretty libertarian on social stuff, wish you guys the best. Just found out about this site and your ordeal this week off instapundit.
I look forward to your detailed posts on just how you skewer the thugs who have defamed you.
January 27, 2010 at 6:08 pm
Email just sent in regards to this issue
January 27, 2010 at 6:09 pm
You guys might just search through recent English newspaper articles of successful libel and slander suits in England. They will for sure mention the name of the lawyers you need.
Guardian, Times, to think of two, should have plenty of info searchable on their websites.
Good luck guys. Teach the brit-boy that old American tar and feather shtick. Teach them rambunctious and bodacious, two totally fine words that are not Brit-English, but homegrown right here in the Good Old USA. Belittle is another American word — belittle the bums.
January 27, 2010 at 8:21 pm
Am Canadian, our legal system is closely associated with the UK. Will check with my solicitor tomorrow about contacts in the UK.
Keep fighting the good fight – I am a post menapausal woman – don’t f*** with me fellas!
January 27, 2010 at 8:56 pm
[...] The guys at HillBuzz are convinced they know who it is, some dude from Birmingham, England. “BigotBasher” claims that they’ve fingered the wrong guy, but you know, considering the Ellie Light courage of these principled pseudonymous speakers of truth to power, I’m a little skeptical. It’s all in the game when you out someone else, but if the tables are turned, it’s stalking. [...]
January 27, 2010 at 9:36 pm
Hi guys,
I really want to make a contribution to your cause; just not on my credit card. Do you have an address or P.O. Box I could send it to? I’ve been following this story since the week-end. I can’t wait for your report. My endless admiration to you all for fighting these morons/pigs. I’m not overly computer savvy, so I just want to help the cause the best way I can. Take care and be safe.

He might be expensive, but it might be a shot maybe there might be some donors who would help ya hire someone like him.
January 28, 2010 at 4:42 am
Carter Ruck make an awful lot of money from overseas libel actions in the UK, often brought by utterly horrible people. They are a horrible company. But they are inordinately successful in the kind of actions that you want to bring, so I would heartily recommend using them if you can afford them.
Also, hope that you draw Mr Justice Eady as Judge, who is renowned for being extraordinarily plaintiff friendly. Carter-Ruck/Eady have managed to result in some ridiculous.
They might be evil, but in this case they can certainly be turned to good.
