Governor Palin,
Your ninja throwing stars are needed now. We know you were advised to stay away from the Massachusetts Senate race, because the Brown campaign most likely did not want the Liberals to be revved up to hit back at you.
Well, with Scott Brown now duly elected, you are most definitely needed.
Here’s what we hope you will do:
* Call for the immediate seating of Scott Brown in the United States Senate, based on the precedent established in 1962 when Ted Kennedy was sat the day after his election
* Object to any efforts Paul Kirk makes to usurp this Senate seat during any drawn-out certification process for Brown; as we understand the law, Kirk’s interim appointment expired as of the close of polls today in Massachusetts. Paul Kirk is no longer a Senator. He must not be allowed to vote what the Senate is having for lunch, much less on any legislation. He needs to vacate Scott Brown’s Senate office immediately.
* Call Deval Patrick, William Galvin, Tim Kaine, Harry Reid, and the White House for plotting to either force the Healthcare Rationing bill through via reconciliation, or scheme to delay Brown’s seating for a month or two. Call them out Governor. Make them taste your nightstick.
* If the Senate refuses to seat Brown, call upon your supporters to come to Washington to support Hottie McAwesome. Be there with Brown and setup an office for him on the steps of the Capitol. Embarrass Harry Reid — a man who embarrasses himself daily, and who buckled quickly when he tried to prevent Roland Burris from being seated. Just threaten to cause a historic scene and world-class photo op, and Democrats will fold. They are terrified of you. Especially if you hint you will appear in person. You scare them on Facebook. They would probably run screaming if you came to the Capitol.
* Embolden Republicans to fight like Hell, uncharacteristically for most of them, to SEAT SCOTT BROWN now.
* Encourage your supporters to call every single Democrat in elected office tomorrow, from the school board level to the White House, and tell every last one of them that the people have spoken, they took back “The Kennedy Seat” for the people of Massachusetts, and that they will no longer tolerate the Liberal-Socialist Democrat agenda.
Only you can lead the charge, Governor Palin. You are our great, American hope.
We will do everything we can to help you in all that you do…and hope you stand with Scott Brown now, when he and America need you.
Your supporters in Boystown,
HillBuzz

Congratulations to the new Senator-elect from Massachusetts! Scott Brown’s victory proves that the desire for real solutions transcends notions of “blue state” and “red state”. Americans agree that we need to hold our politicians accountable and bring common sense to D.C.
Recent elections have taught us that when a party in power loses its way, the American people will hold them accountable at the ballot box. Today under the Democrats, government spending is up nearly 23 percent and unemployment is higher than it’s been in a quarter of a century. For the past year they’ve built a record of broken promises, fat cat bailouts, closed-door meetings with lobbyists, sweetheart deals for corporate cronies, and midnight votes on weekends for major legislation that wasn’t even read. The good citizens of Massachusetts reminded Democrats not to take them for granted.
Americans cheered for Scott Brown’s underdog campaign because they viewed his candidacy as a vote against the Democrats’ health care bill. You know that there’s something wrong with this legislation when opposition to it inspired a Republican victory in a state that currently has no Republicans in Congress and last sent a Republican to the Senate nearly 40 years ago.
Clearly this victory is a bellwether for the big election night ten months from now. In the spirit of bipartisanship, let me offer some advice to the Democrats on how to stem this populist tide. Scrap your current health care bill and start from scratch. We all want true reform, but government mandated insurance is not it. Scott Brown campaigned against this top-down bureaucratic mess. We need common sense solutions like reforming malpractice laws, allowing people to purchase insurance across state lines, giving individual purchasers the same tax benefits as those who get coverage through their employers, and letting small businesses pool together to provide insurance for their employees. Focus your efforts on jobs, not on job-killing legislation. Such a change in approach would show Americans that you’re listening.
My best wishes to Senator-Elect Brown. When you go to Washington, may you never forget the ordinary citizens you met while driving that truck through the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

We can imagine Scott and Todd going snowmachining together.
And then they have a snowball fight.
And then they have hot chocolate together.
And then we stop writing here and let the rest play out quietly in our own imaginations lest we offend any of you with the further imagined adventures of two stone cold foxes who we wish had younger, gay brothers we could go snowmachining and snowball fighting with ourselves.
Pass the coco.

January 19, 2010 at 10:03 pm
Anyone know how I can listen to Brown’s victory speech online (Fox, preferably)?
January 19, 2010 at 10:06 pm
It seems that Fox was set up so we could watch live stream of Coakley’s speech – which just ended.
I would imagine that they will do the same with Brown’s as well.
Good luck!
January 19, 2010 at 10:23 pm

Awesome job on your support for Brown and your message to Palin! You guys are taking it to the left and proving their idiotic stereotypes are nothing more than an attempt to divide us Americans. Keep up the great work and keep the faith!!

January 19, 2010 at 10:20 pm
Thank you Hillbuzz! You helped put Hottie McAwesome in office and may have saved us from the healthcare monstrosity. People all across the country are very happy right now.
January 19, 2010 at 10:27 pm
Remember Coakley and the democrats ran ads trying to tie Brown to Palin to hurt him. Howd that work out for them? lol
January 19, 2010 at 10:49 pm
Dan,
if Sarah would have been campaigning in Massachusets for Brown, it would have been like 41/57 for Brown!

Paul Rahe has a nice sharp suggested draft for Brown’s victory speech:
http://biggovernment.com/2010/01/19/a-victory-speech-for-scott-brown/
January 19, 2010 at 10:42 pm
Senator Jim Webb puts out a statement that puts the notion of a quick Senate vote out of reach and pretty much makes a certification fight moot:
In many ways the campaign in Massachusetts became a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process. It is vital that we restore the respect of the American people in our system of government and in our leaders. To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated.

Here is the list of all Class 3 Senators (up for re-election 2010). To the right there is a link to a PDF of the phone list of EVERY senator’s direct line. We can print this out and have them next to our phones if they don’t seat him: (and more many good reasons to bug their eyeballz out! ha ha)

The burden of all this doesn’t have to fall on Sarah’s shoulders. We should ALL insist on and organize these things!! Brown has set up his immediate seating well through his very direct and gracious speech. The public must make sure that he is seated ASAP!
January 20, 2010 at 7:26 am
If they refuse to seat Hottie McAwesome, we should set up an outdoor office on the front steps of the Capitol.

Hey Boyz,
I have been following you for the last couple of weeks and I have to say I am impressed. Keep up the good work and may God Bless you for the patriots that you are. Not to thread jack, but I hope Sarah is not going squishy on us conservatives. Believe me when I say that I will vote for her in a New York minute when she runs for President, but she needs to start endorsing more conservative candidates. I do not hold it against her for campaigning for McPain as she does owe him for bringing her to the national stage, but she should rethink her endorsement of Governor Rick MoFo Perry for reelection. As a Texan he is considered a right leaning moderate, but more conservative than Senator Hutchison who is definantly a moderate. She should endorse the dark horse candidate, Debra Medina, the true conservative, who is starting to surge after her last debate with Rick and Kay-Bailey. If she does as well or better in the next debate, she will surely surge further and we might have a come from behind win as we had in Massachusetts. We need to start supporting true conservatives if we want to take back this country from the socialist/communists.
