H/t Miss Jodee for the McAwesome photo ops
Can you scry into the future and imagine what the MSM and the Left will do when Hottie McAwesome wins tomorrow?
We know, at this point, that the MSM and the Left are basically one and the same, but how do you think Scott Brown’s victory will be covered by the news media?
What will the Leftists and Dr. Utopia’s Kool-Aid Gang of thugs and trolls do in retaliation when Brown takes “The Kennedy Seat” back for the people?
Are the Kennedys, at last, finally finished on the national stage?
Use this thread for updates on Hottie McAwesome’s campaign throughout the day.

January 18, 2010 at 8:36 am
My fervent wish is for ONE DEMOCRAT, one fiscally conservative socially liberal Democrat to denounce the Obama agenda and vow to kill the bill–regardless, no bribes no flip flop. If One DEMOCRAT would stand up for US for the American people and disavow the current administration he or she would be an instant hero. Plus it would make me feel less foolish for being such a rabid Democrat for most of my life.
January 18, 2010 at 8:42 am
This video is very homemade but it is the first of 3 from Scott Brown’s peoples rally and speech yesterday. This should everyone jazzed up.
January 18, 2010 at 9:31 am
at 50 bucks a person how much would it cost Martha to put on an event like that.
January 18, 2010 at 9:35 am
Awesome!
Scott is a great speaker!
Thanks so much for posting, Lynn-1!

Great job! A Scott Brown win tomorrow is a win for you guys that have pushed for him for months now.
I will take the Palin VP choice back because Scott Brown is a pro-choice moderate. He might not be a VP or presidential GOP nominee. But he will be a big asset against Obama care.
January 18, 2010 at 1:29 pm
Thank-you Lynn for posting this”
Yes, Scott is an amazing speaker and has done an awesome job campaigning, it will be even more awesome when Scott win’s!
“can’t wait” and staying very hopeful too!

Did you see any of Barry’s campaign appearance for Coakley yesterday? If I didn’t hate him so much, I’d almost feel sorry for him. It was an embarrassment of epic proportions.
hee hee…. he stumbled and fumbled and said all kinds of stupid stuff. (Even more than usual.) He was heckled and mocked, which made him flustered and angry.
Good times.
January 18, 2010 at 9:05 am
He did look ticked off didn’t he? I laughed the whole time.
January 18, 2010 at 9:42 am
Watched most of it. Utopia looked like the total rookie he is.
The disruption by the hecklers threw him off very badly and he never ‘recovered’.
In fact, scrambling to get back ‘on script’ he actually said, ‘OK, where was I?’
I thoroughly enjoyed every second of his misery.
It was so obvious that he’d rather have been ANY place else.
January 18, 2010 at 10:50 am
I told people this long ago. Hussein can not speak very well, extemporaneously. He can’t. Simple as that. His teleprompter was probably broken.
Go Scott Brown. More reinforcements are due, in state, shortly. Watch the ACORN moves. Those on the scene with video recorders, make damn sure you have the battery power to last all day and night! Observe, record and report Democratic intransigence.
HB Boys, you are doing yeoman service for your country. So glad to be here among you.
January 18, 2010 at 11:25 am
It’s when he said “now look” that I knew he was M-A-D. How dare his subjects mock HRH. He’s so fawned over by the press and those that worked to get him elected that he just doesn’t understand politics. Where was his SEIU crew to protect him from these peasants?
He needs to take lessons from Sarahcuda on how to handle hecklers.
January 18, 2010 at 2:50 pm
Oh NO he doesn’t. I like the way he responds already. ..snort..
January 18, 2010 at 6:06 pm
Did someone see how they kinda man handled a kid out of there? It seemed like the parent was the heckler and the kid was grasped high on the arm and being led out behind. As if a child wouldn’t follow their parent out of there and might bolt….come on. Really was that type of grasp required?
Don’t quote me on this….it just looked weird.
See for yourself. Starts at the :08 second mark.
January 18, 2010 at 6:08 pm
oops….’someone’ should be ‘anyone’
January 18, 2010 at 10:56 pm
I just hate this guy. What a putz. Obama is just a whiney, puny little putz. Now he’s sneering at driving “trucks”. Hey, phoney baloney Mr. Presnent-in-name-only, *I* drive a truck. Not a Caddy, not a Benz, not a Beamer. A friggin little 10-year old Ford pick-up truck. And so far my truck has done it’s job far, far better than you ever will.
January 19, 2010 at 5:05 am
I cannot stand his voice. It really annoys me. In fact it annoys me more than the voice of Fran Drescher.
You have to keep in mind that I am Australian. I kinda see accents in a different way. I do like most of the American accents. However, I cannot stand listening to POTUS.
January 19, 2010 at 8:23 am
I’m so with you. I don’t like myself very much, when he’s on. I literally HATE him. All that talk about the poor and the needy…and he SNEERS at a truck? “Anyone can buy a truck”??? Uh, no we can’t. I know that politics is corrupt and that this has been brewing for decades…but the ARROGANCE of Obama and Pelosi is nauseating.
Don’t they realize we’d vote for Charles Manson, if he’d vote against this HC bill?
January 18, 2010 at 8:58 am
Are the Kennedys, at last, finally finished on the national stage?
God, let’s hope so.
January 18, 2010 at 9:55 am
I second that.
January 18, 2010 at 10:36 am
DITTO!
January 18, 2010 at 5:00 pm
I sure hope the Kennedys are done on a national stage. They have had way too much power and control in our government for way to long. The media have practically made them into royalty, and the way several members of that family have gotten out of criminal activities and gone scott free makes me sick. It is time for fresh blood, not only in Massachusetts but all across America. I can’t stand the attitude of entitlement that the Kennedys and so many other politicians (as well as people on the left) have in our country. I wish we could have a shift in the mindset that 1) the politicians work for us, the people, and 2) for those people who think they are entitled to everything under the sun, no they aren’t! People need to wake up and take responsibility for their acitons. Sorry for the rant, but I am all riled up for what is going on in our precious country.
January 18, 2010 at 9:02 am
Last-minute request to Hillbuzz posters:
Democratic party operatives have taken over the comments sections of news and opinion articles focusing on the Mass. Senate election. I am not making this up; this is one of their strategies. They did this in the recent Altanta mayoral election against the reform candidate Mary Norwood (who lost by a whisker):
“They [Reed's campaign] had an amazing group of people representing their group on the blogs every day,” Norwood said. “I read them to know what was coming at me next.”
“One source formerly inside the Reed campaign told APN that several paid campaign staffers were tasked with commenting on blogs like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper’s Political Insider blog. Paid commenters included Tharon Johnson, State Rep. Rashad Taylor, Reese McCranie, and others, the source said.”
http://atlantaprogressivenews.com/news/0568.html
Now they are doing the same thing in Massachusetts!
Hillbuzz commenters write wonderful, passionate, well-informed posts. Please go to Massachusetts media websites and tell the truth about how unpaid people feel about the election! Boston.com, BostonHerald.com, Telegram.com (Worcester), and more – please got ot ehse sites and comment – it is snowing and a holiday so people will be at home.
Fight back against the anti-Scott Brown comments being planted by paid Democratic party operatives!
January 19, 2010 at 5:07 am
I spent a lot of today at the globe site. I spent a bit of time reporting abuse for repetitive comments :)

January 18, 2010 at 7:37 pm
Brilliant!!!
January 18, 2010 at 9:04 am
No doubt the Democrats will try to spin this as no big deal. They will point fingers and then, no doubt, they will start jumping off the Obama boat. To stay on the Obama boat is to be voted out of office.
You’re either with the American people or against. If you’re a Democrat and not smart enough to heed the message of the people who vote tomorrow…then shame on you! No party…left or right has absolute power. To ram legislation that is one-sided down the throats of the American people was an arrogant, stupid mistake.
January 18, 2010 at 9:08 am
LOVE the amateur video. Genuine enthusiasm knows no tripod.
To answer your question, coverage of this earthquake will be ignored for coverage of the other one.
January 18, 2010 at 9:08 am
Between the MSM’s tap dancing (the din will give me a massive headache) and spinning (which will make me nauseous in a variety of ways), I still expect to feel really really good about Hottie McA’s victory. With earplugs and an eye mask to maintain my equilibrium, I plan to count the ways they try to discount his victory!
January 18, 2010 at 9:15 am
I’ll be watching FOX until Brown is declared the winner, then I’ll switch over to MSNBC so I can see their heads explode.
January 18, 2010 at 9:21 am
My plan exactly!!! nothing like a good meltdown on MSNBC to make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
January 18, 2010 at 9:21 am
Amen.
January 18, 2010 at 9:27 am
This would be a good time to finally figure out how my TV’s picture-in-picture feature works.
January 18, 2010 at 9:30 am
that is such a good plan.
January 18, 2010 at 9:59 am
Yup, it’s a good one. Get your happy on and then watch the freak out for a few minutes.
January 18, 2010 at 10:04 am
Katie Couric is network, she’s a must for the Head Asplode Hit Parade. Don’t forget to Tivo NBC as well.
January 18, 2010 at 11:27 am
Thanks for my first laugh of the day!!! And great idea!
January 18, 2010 at 6:16 pm
Doug J, a fine plan. I shall do the same.
January 18, 2010 at 10:07 pm
oh man, i must see this. i cancelled my cable after the 2008 election because of how disgusting it was. I’ll find somewhere. : ). Much fun to be had.
January 18, 2010 at 10:30 pm
Great idea. I will be sure to have cabernet and cookies on hand for the moment of the MS-LSD implosion.
January 18, 2010 at 11:08 pm
They will never declare Brown the winner. First, they will have to wait until SoS certifies election in about a month. By then whey won’t even mention it.
Politico’s website never changed the 2008 Election Map to reflect McCain winning Missouri.
January 18, 2010 at 9:15 am
To HillBuzz’ question: The MSM will go into an epic fit of hand-wringing, an epic brown-shirting of the “ignorant” people who voted for Brown (I predict that will be the locus word ‘ignorance’ with all other synonyms thrown in), as in “These stupid ignorant flyover country people – why can’t they see that we Better People of D.C. are trying to save them from themselves???” [stamping of feet and hand-wringing].
But, MOST OF ALL, the LSM will go into *HYPER-PROTECT THE CHOSEN GLORIOUS IVY-LEAGUE MULTI-CULTURAL ***ØBAMA***.
Their will be *NO* admission of rejection or failure of Zippy’s administration or schemes – nope, it’s gonna be ‘what can we do now to *make* the hicks submit and accept what we intend to do”.
Any possible way to deflect and deny responsibility from the Liberal Supremacists. That’s what I predict the LSM’s reaction to be.
January 18, 2010 at 9:32 am
She was SUCH a bad candidate, even Obama couldn’t save her.
January 18, 2010 at 10:53 am
obama can’t save himself
January 18, 2010 at 10:58 am
Let’s combine the two!
Obama was such a bad candidate!
January 18, 2010 at 9:46 am
Yes- the MSM will beat the drum that this is NOT a referendum on Obama and the “progressives”. They will take the half truth that Coakley was a dismal candidate and portray it as the full truth.
It is like ignoring the iceberg’s role in the sinking of the Titanic, but they will do it anyway.
January 18, 2010 at 10:04 am
They will roll her under the bus as an unappealing candidate who ran a weak campaign, deny the race as a referendum on Obama and his agenda, and will assure us that one vote will not stop “progress”–healthcare WILL get done.
January 18, 2010 at 10:22 am
Yet the Obama White House win WAS a refurendum on Republican policies and had nothing to do with John McCain’s inadequacies as a campaigner.
Same old song and dance routine, folks. The LSM just cannot help stepping in BS. There must be a name for that dance move. Anyone?
January 18, 2010 at 11:23 am
The Hopey Pokey? :)
January 18, 2010 at 10:59 pm
I think it’s called the “cow patty shuffle”.
January 18, 2010 at 10:24 am
Coakley *is* a dismal candidate.
She is a dismal candidate *because* she supports Hopeychangey’s agenda, and people are rejecting it by the truckload.
We, the People are starting to see how terrible this agenda is for the country, regardless of how much interference the media tries to run.
January 18, 2010 at 2:33 pm
When Scott Brown wins…Coakley is finished in politics!
January 18, 2010 at 10:49 am
They’ll blame the Clintons.
January 18, 2010 at 11:02 am
I think they are all too shell-shocked to blame anyone else besides Croakly, yet.
January 18, 2010 at 11:08 am
There’s has to be some room for Bush blamin’ , not to mention the most massive voter fraud in the history of the Republic. Or at least Minnesota.
January 18, 2010 at 11:29 am
they will try to spin it that way..I am sure they wanted HRC to come home & campaign for her..it will be clintons fault ..both of them..somehow that will be their answer..
January 18, 2010 at 1:20 pm
No, they are going to stick with blaming Bush
http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.com/archives/2010/01/after_obama_ral.php
“One thing the Democrats have done wrong? We haven’t kept the focus on this disaster on the Republicans who brought it upon us. We’ve tried too hard to do that right thing, and that’s to fix it, as opposed to spend more of our time and energy pointing the finger at who got us [here] in the first place.”
~ Patrick Kennedy
January 18, 2010 at 3:40 pm
totally.
January 18, 2010 at 11:03 am
Of course they will. As they dig that MSM grave a few feet deeper.
January 18, 2010 at 2:40 pm
Oh, and don’t forget to mention that the word “teabaggers” will be in every sentence regarding those who voted for Sen. McAwesome.
January 18, 2010 at 9:17 am
absolve obie and wet their pants
January 18, 2010 at 9:22 am
I think Allahpundit had it right. Before the election, this is the last chance for “Change”. After, it has absolutely nothing to do with Obama.
There’s going to be an absolute evisceration of Coakley and her campaign. The left will not follow the Eleventh Commandment (“Do not publicly criticise your fellow (fill in the blank)”) if it means that the Messiah and his agenda will be in any way compromised. No one will admit that his agenda is sub moronic.
That sheer stupidity could enhance Brown’s margin. Even the left are spitting nails at Obama, and could end up giving the GOP the vote, even if only to give the “Blue Dog Dems” a breathing space from actually have to show some backbone one way or the other.
January 18, 2010 at 9:47 am
Attacking Martha is what the MSM will do, I agree. Sound critique is okay; Axelrove and bullies, sanctioned by bho the fraud, have “changed” turning against their own into a despciable kind of “success.” Shame on them.
January 18, 2010 at 7:02 pm
It’s already begun.
Chrissy Matthews has already started trashing Marcia and trying to distance her from Dr. Utopia.
Check out the blond reporterette…she’s in meltdown over Chrissy’s prediction that Scott will win. HA!
Leg-tingles looks as if he has really bad gas! LOL!

Robert Gibbs on Scott Brown winning the Massachusetts Senate race:
January 18, 2010 at 3:33 pm
Huh?
January 18, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Gibbs=Baghdad Bob
Lying as the truth is smacking him in the face.
January 18, 2010 at 10:57 pm
Remember Said in complete denial at the mics as the US tanks rolled into downtown Baghdad on TV. Now that was a surreal moment! Then he vanished until ratted out, right?
January 18, 2010 at 9:30 am
The Left may give us a modern twist on Kristallnacht and the MSM will read the talking points from the White House.
January 18, 2010 at 9:32 am
Am waiting for ONE BRAVE DEMOCRAT to stand up and denounce the Obama agenda and stand up for the American People! If one prominent Dem would vow to vote against the bill, regardless of how many bribes or threats, he or she would become an instant hero to us “truck driving riffraff”. DId you hear that Patrick Kennedy was calling her “Marcia” not Martha?
January 18, 2010 at 9:35 am
Mark Rubio. The NEXT Scott Brown…
http://corner.nationalreview.com/
on the stupidity and duplicity of taxing banks.
January 18, 2010 at 9:59 am
yes I’ve been thinking that once we get Scott Brown elected (with His blessing)we will need to turn our $$$ and our attention to Rubio and other good conservative candidates out there…Alan West….add other names if you know them. Thanks Boyz for the place to congregate and for the tips from the dark side…:)
January 18, 2010 at 10:17 am
Hey! Alan West! You’re so RIGHT.
That is one thing I have come to appreciate about the ‘net. You don’t have to rely on the small slice of info that local and national media choose to give you. You can keep your ear to the ground to find REAL candidates to support, not just the establishment candidates.
In fact, I see Scott Brown as exactly the kind of candidate that would have gotten exactly NOWHERE without this grassroots effort. Did you know that the Dem Senate Comm. has given Coakley $1.4 mil for her campaign? The Republican Senate Comm. has give Scott Brown $0.
As much as that pisses me off, it also energizes me because if we grassroots can do this with Scott Brown without their help (and we could have done it with Doug Hoffman too if they’d have gotten Dede out of the way!), then we CAN do this with others who REALLY represent US instead of being in league with them.
What an awesome opportunity!
January 18, 2010 at 11:48 am
The RNC had no choice with Dede ~I’m not saying Repubs on a personal level didn’t~ The local Repubs put up Dede. You can’t have it both ways, either the national party supports the local candidate or they choose them. Think of it this way, when Rubio wins the Primary in FL, if the RNC decided to back an Ind, what would you think/do? It was the same with Dede. We can’t have it both ways.
January 18, 2010 at 10:33 am
In all fairness to the national Republican organizations, Scott Brown did say that they had been helpful with things like setting up offices and phone banks, helping with initial strategy, etc. It may not have been money per se, but they did help out in more intangible ways.
I think that they may have done that on purpose, as their internal polling indicated that he had a good chance of pulling close to Coakley – they wanted to fly under the radar so that the Dems wouldn’t throw resources at Coakley’s campaign until it was too late.
January 18, 2010 at 10:38 am
Possibly, but I’ve seen what they’ve tried to do to Rubio in Florida AND what they did with Dede. This is no longer an “isolated incident.” The establishment Republicans want us to send THEM money so they can choose our representatives for us.
Well, this Repub is now officially going rogue on that idea. They will not get another red cent from me, and that’s a promise they can tax at the bank!
January 18, 2010 at 10:55 am
One of the main reasons this is so earth-shattering, is the fact that the RNC has been so low key. This is a major rise of the independent. I still believe a third party is a mistake but, the dems are scared sh*tless. A time is coming when a third party run will no longer help them. Liberal Elitist Republicans has best take notice.
January 18, 2010 at 11:11 am
Oh Teresa baby, they ain’t that smart.
January 18, 2010 at 4:25 pm
You’re right – I just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt!
January 18, 2010 at 9:37 am
I’m with Lisette…they will shoot their own wounded by making Coakley a bad campaigner, and whine about how the Tea Partiers got involved in “their” election. Notice, too..how we are now “Pat Robertson’s Tea Party”(at least on HuffPo’s comments). They will talk about how the Christian Taliban is taking over the country, and that the people should be very, very afraid.
Then..it will be Bush’s fault. The Republicans made a mess and Scott Brown is one of them, even though Congress writes the laws. You know..the Congress that included Teddy the Murderer, Joe Biden, Nancy P, John Kerry, Bawney “Prostitution Ring? What Prostitution Ring?” Fwank, and a certain junior senator from Chicago whose name escapes me at the moment.
When it’s all over, this HCR bill will go up in flames, and they’ll say it’s because the Republicans obstructed it. Lord help me…I hate this man.
January 18, 2010 at 10:06 am
For some odd-ass reason, if you are conservative, you’re Talibanish in your faith.
Oddly, I’ve seen more intolerance from liberals than I ever have from Christians…and I grew up and live in the big brass buckle of the bible belt.
MOST Christians to try to live by the golden rule. They may tell you you’re sinning, they will pray for you. But they’re seldom mean and harmful.
BTW, my brother uses the term Christian Taliban also….oy.
January 18, 2010 at 12:03 pm
“MOST Christians to try to live by the golden rule. They may tell you you’re sinning, they will pray for you. But they’re seldom mean and harmful.”
Exactly. They’ll say you’re misguided or in need of prayer or need to find Jesus, whereas liberals will say you’re evil and stupid.
January 18, 2010 at 4:44 pm
Christian Taliban is an oxymoronic phrase meant to stigmatize Christians for closely held beliefs. So far there have not been any Christians flying planes into population centers screaming they were doing it “In the Name of God” or cutting off the head of a reporter to make a religious statement. I would say that phrase is a form of very cheap Political Theatre meant to put off the listener and make anyone nearby think the speaker is a really cool PC hip and with-it guy or gal. In other words, it’s all hot air signifying not much there there.
January 18, 2010 at 5:08 pm
Not only that, it’s meant to take the focus off of the problem with Islamic fundamentalism. They’ll just say “all religion is dangerous”. Gotta be PC(blech).
The lefties are funny too, their response to what the Muslim radicals have done is “but but but..The Crusades”.
January 18, 2010 at 9:50 am
If the Dems were smart, they would have exempted MA from Deathcare in view of their “enlightened leadership on heathcare.”
Also, wondering if silencing the heckler and getting him into the event was possible because law enforcement for the event supports Brown ;-)
January 18, 2010 at 9:56 am
Could you explain that again . . . “silencing the heckler and getting him into the event”???
January 18, 2010 at 10:08 am
The Heckler was somehow allowed into an uber-Dem event; and then it took forever to silence him and get him out, How/why did it take so long?
January 18, 2010 at 10:15 am
Ohhhhhh . . . now I get it! :-D
January 18, 2010 at 3:39 pm
Maybe the cops were the ones Ob-hobo called “Stupid”; so they took their time to get the heckler out. Revenge is sweeter served cold! Or something like that.
January 18, 2010 at 4:49 pm
If you noticed his sign, it was curved as if it had been rolled up so no one could read it. Or he might have had a paper sign on top of a cardboard sign, and ripped it off once inside.
When I first saw the curve, I thought he might have even wrapped it around the trunk of his body, but getting out would have gotten some negative attention.
January 18, 2010 at 12:17 pm
Maybe because it was Corzine heckling that might have something to do with it.
January 18, 2010 at 9:51 am
Obama already lost.
When Brown turned the Massachusetts senate race into a referendum on Obama, he went from being a long shot underdog to the leader.
January 18, 2010 at 9:53 am
OLYMPICS 2016!!!!!
January 18, 2010 at 9:55 am
Thanks to the Hillbuzz Boyz, I am seeing the Clintons in a new light. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been a fan of the Clintons. However, the Boyz are helping me see another perspective. That is no small achievement on the part of the Boyz because I’ve known I was a Reagan Republican since before I knew I was queer as a three-dollar bill. (Honey, that’s quite some time! I am 40–ancient in queer years.)
Now to my point: Bill Clinton would NEVER have let himself appear so stupid and inept as Obama has. Bill Clinton LEARNED to meet folks in the middle. And he maintained a center-left (not left-wing) administration.
You’d think Obama would learn from the last successful Democrat in the White House. Actually, Bill Clinton was the ONLY successful Democrat president really since JFK. Johnson and more especially Carter were failures, according to what I know.
January 18, 2010 at 9:57 am
Lets remind ourselves that the vote has yet to be cast . . . as Mr. Instapundit says, don’t get cocky! Do the phone banks, go watch the polls, pray if you’re not in MA.
January 18, 2010 at 12:18 pm
My sister is a lib Democrat and a Coakley supporter. I just let the air out of her tires. LMAO

I know I’ve been praying 24/7 for over a week now and sleeping poorly to boot. I want SB to win for the country’s sake, but I’m also hoping I can get a few solid nights sleep after we’re sure he’s seated and before we need to start in on the next round of “Save the Country.” I’m getting too damn old to lose this much sleep; body just doesn’t bounce back the way it used to.

PLEASE everyone donate to Hillbuzz.
They are being attacked by the lunatics at moveon, dailyKooks and DU… and who knows how many of soros’s lunatic bunch.
“Keep the site alive”. Please donate what you can.

Do you know if the Boyz have a PO Box set up for those who want to send cash?
January 18, 2010 at 12:12 pm
Yeah, good question – I’d send money if I could send cash.
January 18, 2010 at 1:19 pm

January 18, 2010 at 2:00 pm
I hope they do, I just tried to do a Paypal contribution and it won’t take my CC!
January 18, 2010 at 2:45 pm
Did you update your card or bank info with PayPal.
That’s usually why they decline.
January 18, 2010 at 3:11 pm
Sorry for being so illiterate but, who do I “update” my info with? I need to call my CC? I did input all the CC info they asked me for, including the security code.
January 18, 2010 at 3:47 pm
Update your CC and/or bank info with Paypal.
January 18, 2010 at 3:56 pm
Thanks, just did and it worked. Had never used Paypal!
January 18, 2010 at 12:07 pm
Done.

I’ll go back over to some of the anti-Brown sites (like the NYTimes) and read, hoping to see those who knew that “no way will a state as liberal and intelligent vote for someone has stupid and closed minded as Brown!’
BTW, the NYT’s forum was the most eye opening— Never have a seen so much mental, cultural and ideological incest in one place! The common vitriol aimed at anyone, I mean ANYONE who wasn’t in their narrow world, starting with NY, and going all the way through education, geography etc was astounding.
Where and when did NY get the idea that they were the center of the universe? I’ve been there, nice place to visit, but damn….
I mean, DAMN!
January 18, 2010 at 4:12 pm
All that leftwing media incest comes down to them screwing themselves. Gives a great visual of that orgy, doesn’t it?
January 18, 2010 at 5:50 pm
Ewwwww
True though!
January 18, 2010 at 9:26 pm
About the NYT forums: They had a mildly (very mildly) column about Sarah Palin a few weeks ago and the vitriol was worse than anything I have seen before and I read lots of blogs. There were maybe 3 pro-Palin posts out of several hundred. They repeated Levi Johnson talking points! These are supposed to be sophisticated people right?
I live in NYC and know lots of genuine people here but not the people who post in NYT forums.

Yes, Coakley will be branded a bad campaigner, but not merely so.
Here is my prediction – - and remember, the key to understanding liberals and leftists is their hatred of this country:
“Coakley was a great civil servant and highly qualified, but even so, blinded by her idealism and integrity, she could not imagine the depths of racism and fascism so fundamental to the nature of the average American.
“This election proves the ugliness of the American soul, enraged by the presence of a Black Man in the Oval Office. This was an outpouring of hatred, the secret ballot giving these hideous people a cloak to hide their vile hate.
“This election proves the essential greediness of the average American, who cannot stand the thought of spending a dime on those dying and suffering without health care.
“Brought to you by the same folks who brought you slavery and the crushing of the native American nations, this election demonstrates the stupidity and selfishness of the small minded, typical American, who lives in fear of ceding even a little of his racial privilege.
“And this election teaches us what has become so apparent in recent times, that the American people cannot be trusted to govern themselves.”
This is my guess how the media will react, if (please!) H McA wins.
January 18, 2010 at 10:03 am
David Shuster, MSNBC, says, “Has Mass. lost its mind?” Uh, no, they finally are getting it, you leftist jerk.
January 18, 2010 at 11:42 am
All riiiiiiiight! A report from the Dark Side.
I predict some major projection, when they accuse the eeeeevil Republicans of stealing the election.
Katie Couric could be staring straight at a gang of New Black Panthers with guns, busloads of homeless being ushered into polls by ACORN workers, and illegal aliens who don’t even know what State they’re in, but they’ll all accuse US of voter fraud.
January 18, 2010 at 10:22 am
havent seen the heckling of nobama on the MSM, which i agree went on and on..mika on scarborough’s show looks petrified, cant quite believe whats happening to her idol!
this’ll teach other dem hopefuls to keep THE ONE away from their campaigns, brown went up one point so far, since yesterday.
January 18, 2010 at 11:43 am
That is sooooooooo funny! Petrified looks, if we could only catch them all and have a shock-and-awe photo gallery.
January 18, 2010 at 11:17 pm
That’s a great idea. If we can get screen shots that can be done.

Ran across this comment at Ace this morning. I can’t do anything “on the ground” from Texas, but any of you who are close to Massachusetts might want to help out in this arena. Be sure and wear BROWN tomorrow!
“…I’ve said this before but it needs to be repeated. If you live in Massachusetts then please call Brown HQ and volunteer to drive voters to the polls. There are many elderly and infirm voters who simply cannot get there without assistance. The Democrats will have buses. I drive voters to the polls in every election in Arlington, VA. The Arlington GOP calls me with the name and address of voters who have called with requests for assistance. I pick them up and return them home after they vote. Each election I take 8 to 12 voters throughout the day. Often, some willing voters never even get to the polls, and that’s sad.
If 1,000 people volunteer in Massachusetts then an additional 8,000 to 12,000 votes for Brown are possible. EVERY vote is needed. Call Brown HQ today and sign up.”

January 18, 2010 at 11:31 am
Well, 2 can play that game. We just start hitting the “objectionable content” link for everything the left posts.
January 18, 2010 at 2:33 pm
Just tried for myself. I am speechless. Never have I actually had that happen with a site. I expected the content to be pornographic and raunchy but…Gasp….it was political!!!! I search with ixquick and still had to press the majic button to go further.
January 18, 2010 at 11:20 pm
Google was doing that same stuff back in the days of the 2008 primaries. They were shutting sites down that were anti-Obama. So much for free speech. I don’t Google anymore. I use Bing from Microsoft.
January 18, 2010 at 10:28 am
I envision a few aneurysms on the Left tomorrow night.
Can the good people of MA find another candidate to replace Barney Frank, PLEASSSSE! I am so there with my checkbook.
January 18, 2010 at 10:39 am
And PA with Murtha too?!!!!
January 18, 2010 at 11:01 am
And Pat Toomey. He is the R running against ‘Democrat’ Arlen Specter.
Toomey is NOT Hottie…but he is NOT Snarlin Arlen either…so he needs to be added to the ‘to do list’ of November!
January 18, 2010 at 2:46 pm
Check out William Russell, ycats! He’s going to run against Murthaf***er in Nov.
January 18, 2010 at 10:33 am
Of course it will be…. Bushy”s fault!
January 18, 2010 at 10:43 am
It’s always Bush’s fault, or Hillary’s fault or Sarah’s fault or America’s fault.
January 18, 2010 at 11:03 am
I just left Drudge where there’s an article that takes this exact stance – “IT’S ALL BUSH’S FAULT!!!!”
Patrick Kennedy (Teddy’s son) was leading the charge with this inane mantra. When do you think they’ll figure out that we’re just not into that excuse? It’s been a whole year now.
Hey – Obie, Harry, Nancy – “You asked for it – You got it!”
January 18, 2010 at 2:46 pm
Uhmmm..Who was in Washington for 43 years???? Seniority, Baby, makes it his fault! (Teddy K.)
January 18, 2010 at 10:40 am
The left is just delusional. I suspect they will initially blame Coakley for everything. She will be toast. Then as reality sets in they will realize that siding with Obama is instant political suicide. If they don’t realize it..better for us because they’ll be voted out next election without a clue why.
January 18, 2010 at 10:47 am
Saw this over at Ace this morning – if you live close to Mass, you might want to volunteer to do this (I’m too far away, darn it!). Everyone remember to wear BROWN tomorrow!

All dumpsters should be on “lockdown” for the next 48 hours too.

January 18, 2010 at 11:31 am
excerpt from huffinton:
On Friday, MSNBC host Ed Schultz proposed a radical path to a Democratic win in the unexpectedly close Massachusetts Senate race for the late Ted Kennedy’s seat: cheating.
“If I lived in Massachusetts, I’d try to vote ten times,” Schultz said on his radio show, The Ed Schultz Show.
“Yeah that’s right,” he went on. “I’d cheat to keep these bastards out. I would. Because that’s exactly what they are.”
January 18, 2010 at 11:36 am
I’ll be waiting to hear the MSM speak about how the dumb, mind-numbed robots of MassachussettES didn’t know what they were doing.
What is bothering me is just what dirty tricks the Left is going to pull to try and steal the election. I hope Brown’s team has a video camera running at ever precinct as well as teams of election watchers. Dr. U has already sent the message that voter intimidation is perfectly acceptable when people are voting for your opponent. He had his lacky AG dismiss the charges on the New Black Panthers.
Most of all, I’m doing a lot of praying that this election is clearly a win for Brown (and early on), that Coakley sees it and concedes. And that someone on the Democratic side decides it’s best to act like adults and let the people’s decision stand.

Yes . . . this is no time to get complacent. Were I in MA, I’d set my alarm to wake up early in the morning, and go to the local polling place so I’d be ready the moment it opened.

I tried to leave a comment, but it wont let me.
Can you please post HillBuzz.org and Hillaryis4.org on his site. It proves his theory that the liberals are insulting centerists like HillBuzz and PUMA democrats, and the conservatives would be well heeded to learn and make sure not to do the same.
Could you please post Hillbuzz.org and Hillaryis44.org website on that particular thread?
Thanks.

Excuses that will be used:
1. Blame BUSH…
2. throw Coakley under the bus
3. restate how incredibly popular Obama is in MA.. and how its not a referendum on Obama.
4. Have a beautiful Ted Kennedy rembremce video.
5. Teabaggers and racists came from all over to infect poor Ma.
January 18, 2010 at 11:54 am
The six-term Democratic mayor of Quincy, MA just endorsed Brown. Lifelong Dem, this guy.
There are a lot of us out here, who while we are more liberal than our conservative friends, are not batshit crazy Statists, and we LOVE this country with all our hearts. And we do not even recognize our former party anymore.

So when they lose, remember that it was Zero’s White House that was running the campaign when she went down, okay?

Yeah, with like, what, 1 day to go before election? /snort

They only have 1 play in their playbook. After head exploding and froathing at the mouth, they will call the voters of Mass. Nazi’s, evil doers, fear mongerers, aryan, right wing mailitia, terrorists etc. etc.
Just like their insults and derision at people in the Tea Party protests-many of us lifelong Democrats, they will cause registered Dems to never vote D again. Oh yes, they can’t help going off the deep end and driving people in their own party away in droves.
it will wake up alot of life long Dems to just what the left and their own party has become. The left will burn their own suppoters. After voiting Dem for the first 25 years of my life, I voted straight Repub last year and am now an Independant.
January 18, 2010 at 12:28 pm
WHEN Scott Brown wins tomorrow, Obama can then take the credit for accomplishing one very big thing in his first year of presidency. Something so big no other Democrat has ever accomplished. Turning a Senate seat in the bluer than blue Massachusetts RED.

I didn’t verify the accuracy of this comment, but isn’t it a doozy:
Martha “Marcia” Coakley to the Martin Luther King Breakfast in Boston:

Ross Perot once said that some politics is like going to the zoo. The loudest roarer gets the most attention.
My grandfather had an expression “the emptiest barrel thumps the loudest.”
Both statements are so true of the “Main Scream Media”.
January 18, 2010 at 12:48 pm
This election has made me loathe the Dems even more than before. They are so full of themselves, mean, nasty, etc. etc. I truly believe they are all so stupid – how did they even get elected, by spewing rhetoric and then the dummies elected them.
January 18, 2010 at 1:03 pm
I have gotten to the point of “Show me.” That goes for Republicans as much as Dems. I don’t like Dems. The farther left they go, the more nasty and mean-spirited they get. But Repubs got arrogant over the late 90′s. They thought we had to vote for who they put forward. Not anymore.
What I really like about Hillbuzz in this race is they got in, they got in smart and hard and positive. They were FOR Scott Brown, and they convinced me I should be FOR Scott Brown too.
I went against the Repubs in NY-23 because I couldn’t stand behind the candidate they chose. The more they tried to tell me to just get behind her because it was good for Repubs, the more I got turned off because I’m not going to support someone because they put an R behind their name–especially when they are clearly NOT a good candidate and do not represent my views at all.
Further, I think the Dede thing wouldn’t happen nearly so easily this time because we’ll get good candidates in the primary. Those good candidates are the ones I will be supporting, not blindly supporting and/or voting R. Again, I have learned: Support the good candidates, NOT the party.
January 18, 2010 at 1:10 pm
ycats:
I think a lot of people out there think exactly as you do. Myself included.
Both parties cram these horrible candidates down our throats and expect us to take it.
Not anymore.
Country first, party second for me from now on!
January 18, 2010 at 1:24 pm
If they give me a good candidate, I’m there. But I’ve seen what they tried to do with Rubio (putting down a good candidate) and Dede (pushing a bad candidate). Now I know about that whole local decision thing. I get that. But Dede and Crist are EXACTLY the kinds of candidate we’ve been given the “choice” to vote for.
In Scott Brown (and from what I’ve seen Rubio and West as well) we have a candidate we WANT to vote for, not simply voting for the least worst candidate. What a concept!
January 18, 2010 at 1:25 pm
100% agree, I was a lifelong democrat until 2008.
I will vote for a person, don’t care what letter is after their name if they put America FIRST, not the Dem. Party or the Repub Party.
THEY HAVE TO PUT AMERICA FIRST!
This is why I became an independent, don’t give a crap about the national parties, their future is no where as important as America’s future.
January 18, 2010 at 2:14 pm
I totally agree. Rubio and West are fantastic candidates, and you don’t hear a PEEP from the RNC.
Frankly, I think the RNC leadership is better off shutting their damn mouths anyway. They’re all a bunch of morons who’ve lost their principles and vote in their “buddies” anyway. To hell with them!!!
January 18, 2010 at 3:35 pm
Reality break folks.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to get “good candidates”????? I head the candidate recruitment committee for our county central committee – and let me tell you – it’s a bitch. Finding someone with a decent resume, willingness, understanding, financial ability, and ability to articulate a compelling message in order to run a successful campaign is tough! Especially in local races – there’s not much glory – only a ton of hard work.
For example, we have two TEA party people who filed for state legislative seats last week. Very sincere, principled, well-intentioned people – who have absobloominglutely no idea how to get elected. I have been on the phone and email all weekend, handholding, advising, suggesting, and trying my best to help them. I’m frustrated, and I think both of them are sorry they got involved. They thought all they needed was the right political philosophy and the votes would flow forth. Totally clueless!!!!
Montana has a true citizen legislature – they meet for 90 days every other year. Even so – it will take from $12 – 20 thousand dollars to run a successful campaign – more if the candidate has little or no name recognition or large base of support and about 20 hours of work from the candidate every week from now to the election. That’s a huge commitment! Very few people have the resources to fulfill this mandate.
Trust me- the NY23 and MA senate races with all the national support, money, endorsements, and spotlight don’t happen for 99.9% of the races.
I’d love it if I could just support the “good” candidates. The reality on the ground is that most of the time we have to choose from less than ideal candidates and work really hard to get them up to speed. Just because you believe in the right things does not make you a good candidate.
Please! All of you who visit this site, get involved at your county level. It’s not glamorous and you don’t get to meet famous people – but your efforts really do make a difference. Trust me on this – “good” candidates don’t fall out of the sky – they are developed over a period of time, tested by fire in the trenches, and then they become the “overnight sensation” on the national stage. This isn’t Scott Brown’s first rodeo – or Marco Rubio’s either.
Help grow good candidates in your area – call your county central committee and find out when the next meeting is. Believe me – you’ll be welcomed!
January 18, 2010 at 4:00 pm
SO very true — the problem is the state rnc– most are so arrogant and cluless– but i do now see the light at the end of the tunnell.. BUT you are on target –the local and state level MUST BE OUR GROUND ZERO!!!
January 18, 2010 at 4:51 pm
http://www.leadershipinstitute.org/ Auntie Lib here is a great group The Leadership Institute that trains conservative people who wish to run for office and also those who wish to help or run campaigns. They would be a great group to contact in order to help the good Tea Party people who want to run.
I went to one of their conferences and still have the power points on the info. Here is my email if you want to contact me kag29@cox.net I would be happy to forward the info to you.

Thanks for the advice, Auntie Lib. I didn’t mean to imply that it is EASY, but I do think the parties have their own agenda with the candidates they push.
I promise to get involved!
January 18, 2010 at 8:52 pm
Ktrader – We sponsored the Leadership Institute’s campaign school last fall and had a great turnout – of “seasoned” candidates. Unfortunately the newbies didn’t know they were running until last week. I’ve got the material and we will go through it with our new folks, but they’re so far behind the eight ball already… Oh, well…
faye – the state GOP is made up of us “little” people – if we get into the sandbox and play. Actually the RNC has very little input into state activities/candidates. Where most of the direction comes from – honestly – is the Congressional delegation. So whoever your senators and reps are – look there for the party direction.
January 18, 2010 at 4:44 pm
Even the hardest-core Tea Partiers completely agrees with your statement. No more DIABLOs (Democrats In All But Label Only) like Dede. The candidate must be vetted on their prior ACTIONS, not just silken phrases.
January 18, 2010 at 1:09 pm
“thanks to an articulate candidate and Tea-Party money.”
Great quote from The Patriot Room!
Give us an articulate, positive, freedom-loving candidate, and the Tea Party people will open their wallets to make it happen.
January 18, 2010 at 1:13 pm
David Schuster is asking, on air, if Mass. voters have lost their minds. At least the mask came off:
http://www.redstate.com/absentee/2010/01/18/open-thread-have-you-lost-your-minds/
January 18, 2010 at 1:45 pm
I guess Mass mayors have lost their minds also
James Sheets a six term Democratic mayor of Quincy today endorsed Scott Brown for United States Senator. He released the following statement via the Brown campaign:
“Despite being a lifelong member of the Democratic Party, I am endorsing Scott Brown for Senate, as I know he will always represent Massachusetts with an independent voice in Washington,” Sheets said. “Martha Coakley has repeatedly stated she would cast the critical 60th vote for the current health care proposal that would slash Medicare funding by nearly half-a-trillion dollars and dramatically impact the care so many seniors rely upon in their final years. As our United States Senator, I am confident Scott Brown will only support legislation that will benefit his constituents, and this is why I will be voting for him on Tuesday.”
I have to give you the link at American Thinker as the RedMass Group’s server is down. Don’t know if that is because they have too many hits or the progressives are screwing with us again.

We’re trying to find someone to replace Bennett here in Colorado.. I’m not sure about Jane Norton, to much like MCcain, I’m afraid.
Re: media? Heads exploding…
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia
January 18, 2010 at 1:15 pm
So Marcia uses a prayer breakfast for MLK to beg the democrats for votes. A room full of Democrat big-wigs and she has to beg for votes?
Marcia! Marcia! Marcia!
January 18, 2010 at 1:25 pm
posted this on the other thread too, but its worth repeating. I would love to have a discussion forum here about the Fourthturning re: how to use that to our advantage in campaigning for good candidates:
I’m 41, been aware politically since I was 23. But my mind set is also very Fourhturning. (By the way don’t go to their website and try to have a decent conversation.)
All these tactics of Politicians have worked *beautifully* for the past 25 years.
- Every turning lasts approx. 20-25 years-
So now we’ve gone from Thirdturning to Fourthturning, and there has been a shift in the public conscience. The people are starting to ‘act’ Fourthturning-ish, but the pols. don’t know how to do anything but play the way they always have. All Thirdturning politicians will be swept away because America in her current mindset wants 1.Answers 2.Results 3.Solutions.
Thirdturnings offer 1.battle 2.disfunction 3.chaos
Obama campaigned as a Fourthturning person. Answers, results, solutions, getting things done, no more lies, etc…
However, he is ACTING like the biggest Thirdturning Whore there ever was. And the people are pissed off at being lied to.
So bring on the “Bush’s Fault” rhetoric, because that sort of talk in a 4thT. will be your undoing.
January 18, 2010 at 1:47 pm
I’m 42 and became politically aware, if not a bit naive about it, in 1980 when I, as a 13 y.o., supported Carter over Reagan b/c I believed what the MSM (that’s all there was back then) said about Reagan. Well, I liked his foreign policy, being a “Scoop Jackson” Dem, but the domestic stuff from the MSM I bought hook, line, and sinker. There’s no excuse these days with all kinds of alternative media. None.
January 18, 2010 at 1:59 pm
42…awesome! as she gives a nod to Douglas Adams….
See the thing is also- that during this ‘phase’ of the cycles of history- people get interested, active and pay attention. So the lies don’t work anymore. The lies that got ignored and univestigated before, will be like a big fat wart on the end of your nose.
The lying politician in NOT tolerated any longer. That is good news, the bad news for sitting Republican incumbents is THIS APPLIES TO YOU TOO. It is not a “by default” climate any longer. (Which I fear the Conservatives in Washington who are watching this might be thinking.)
January 18, 2010 at 3:15 pm
Sorry SFGoth, but I’m glad you couldn’t vote for Carter against Reagan. Carter was, in my opinion, a total screwup both domestically and internationally.
January 18, 2010 at 3:18 pm
LOL, yes, a good reason not to give 13 y.o.’s the right to vote. In hindsight, I’m glad I couldn’t vote for Carter too.
January 18, 2010 at 4:23 pm
I must say I’m impressed that at 13 you knew who Scoop Jackson was. I am a little older than you are, and remember the JFK/Nixon presidential campaign in 1960. I was 13 that year! I don’t know for sure, but I think my mother voted for Nixon and my father might have voted for JFK. By the time I was 16, I supported Goldwater (just like Hillary, who was a Goldwater girl. She and I are the same age, and lived very close to one another at the time.
January 18, 2010 at 7:38 pm
My Mom was a ScoopJack Dem and my Dad made all of us watch (or at least be silent during) the evening and Sun. morning news broadcasts. It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I either paid attention or watched dry paint dry.
January 18, 2010 at 4:08 pm
I’m reading the four turning right now. interesting, but very involved reading. You are so right about the 4th turning website, those idiot posters still think O-dumbass represents monumental change.
January 18, 2010 at 7:07 pm
It is terribly unfortunate what happened at that website, it had so much potential. I had to stop posting years ago, because objectivity didn’t exist. Obama is the coming of the new glorious age, and PUMA’s are a figment of desperate Conservatives imagination. I posted saying I thought O was the crisis which caused America to unite- against him- their heads exploded and I was a (even more of a) racist.
January 18, 2010 at 1:26 pm
Whatever the MSM says, it won’t be at all critical of Obama, or complimentary of the voters or Scott Brown.
January 18, 2010 at 1:28 pm
the dems who vote for scott brown will be called ignorant
the repubs who vote for scott will be right wingers
the independents will be called ignorant, righwinger and tea bag people
and OF COURSE we all know the standby –> RACIST
January 18, 2010 at 1:31 pm
Forgot about the “teabaggers”. That seems to be the favorite insult these days.
January 18, 2010 at 4:31 pm
I think we should start sending “Bombs” of our own to any news organization whose anchors/commentators use the “Teabagger” term. It is derogatory and demeaning.
Would anyone allow them to use the “N” word on air? NO!!! They’d be hauled out of the building so fast it would make your head spin.
We need to insist that the MSM treat conservatives with the same dignity and respect that they supposedly treat anyone else with. Otherwise, their sponsors are going to hear about it…
January 18, 2010 at 4:47 pm
The Tea Party is the most popular party in America today, according to the polls. So the Teabagger slurs are not working.
January 18, 2010 at 5:58 pm
I think it is about time to start photoshopping everyone who uses that slur, in the act, just so we’re all clear on their meaning.
January 18, 2010 at 1:44 pm
They may well also be called…
WINNERS!
January 18, 2010 at 1:51 pm
They may well also be called…
WINNERS!
(HB, please delete the other one. That’s my other account.)
January 18, 2010 at 1:52 pm
They may also well call them…
WINNERS!
January 18, 2010 at 3:39 pm
I hope they keep up the insults. For this former life long Dem, now Independent, each slur about Tea Party’s, stupid, ignorant, etc., only furthers the outrage
I’ll admit I was once ignorant…of the truth…and when I got wise I became an Independent.
January 18, 2010 at 3:41 pm
PS I might be able to stomach a little LSM just for the little revenge I feel has been dealt. But Fatso Schultz and David Schuster are probably not good for more than a sentence or two. Yes, David we did lose our minds and when we recovered, we left the Dimocrat party. You little Bastard.
January 18, 2010 at 6:40 pm
No, no – they’ll use the other standby in this particular case. -> Sexist!
January 18, 2010 at 11:30 pm
Oh yeah. I’ve already seen the line that voters are rejecting Coakley because she’s a woman. They can’t get past those terrible “lady parts”, you know.
January 18, 2010 at 1:27 pm
Testing my new gravatar
January 18, 2010 at 1:36 pm
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned much…I think Scott Brown has a lot of Hillary supporters who are still ticked off at Obama. Obviously, Hillbizz is but a lot of folks in Mass supported Hillary and this is a good time to stick it to Obama.
January 18, 2010 at 1:39 pm
hillaryis44.org had 2 great articles about this.
Heck if I lived in MA, even though I like Scott Brown and would have voted for him anyways.
If I wasn’t thinking of voting for him, I certainly would, just to be able to say ” F U Obama” for all the crap you did agn Hillary. and then pull the voting lever for scott brown
January 18, 2010 at 2:02 pm

I can’t post at the http://strata-sphere.com/blog/
website, can someone please post over there. He had a thread about Independents, and he is correct that extreme conservatives need to realise most people are centerists, and to stop bashing us. This is exactly the nonsense that the liberal dems did to drive away dems like me from their party.
He needs to read HillBuzz.org and Hillaryis44.org, it will confirm his theory.
Could someone please post this information over there?
thanks.
January 18, 2010 at 1:42 pm
this was the thread I was trying to post the information, but it won’t let me post anything.
Perhaps someone else who has access can post? thanks

and oh yes, as a new Independent, I can say most are social moderates, but pretty conservative when it comes to fiscal/national security/indiv rights/free market/pro-America/NO amnesty to illegals.
People mostly in believe in American values, but on the differences mainly stem from social issues, they don’t want either side (social liberal or social conservative) to force someone to think like them thru policy making.
– just my humble opinion.
January 18, 2010 at 2:46 pm
Please understand that when most people “bash” Dems, they are bashing Reid, Pelosi, and Obama. Liberal and Dems are now the same thing. There are no moderates left in that party, and Hillbuzz and other are evidence of that.
If Nelson, Bayh, Blanche-Lincoln and their lot stood up to the healthcare rationing bill, you would see many R’s come to their defense.
Both Palin and Gingrich have made these distinctions on Fox. And I think most R’s get that. The “right wing” is not as “extreme” as the MSM paints us out to be.
January 18, 2010 at 2:53 pm
Also, I forgot to add, the way you describe the new “Independent,” the MSM ¤t Dem party would classify as “lunatic fringe.”
Anyone opposing the statist, socialist agenda is a right wing wacko.
January 18, 2010 at 5:09 pm
yep, as a Hillary dem in 2008, I was called a racist, in 2009 as an Independent I was called a teabagger and “lunatic fringe”
yes, anyone opposing socialismm and statist is CALLED a lunatic according to the REAL radical marxists in the WH and congress.

My wife and I can’t wait until we get home tonight to watch MSNBC. It’s going to be hysterical when they can’t put off declaring him the winner any longer, and the heads of Matthews, Olberman, and Maddow all simultaneously explode on camera. Can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 18, 2010 at 1:41 pm
It won’t let me copy the HTML to put the whole video in here (sigh), but here is a link to where CHRIS MATTHEWS says that Brown is leading in double digits in the “bellweather” areas and he (Matthews) says “it’s Brown”:
http://www.thehopeforamerica.com/play.php?id=2811
January 18, 2010 at 1:43 pm
Did Chris Matthews just call it for Brown on MSMBC? Looks like it.

January 18, 2010 at 1:47 pm
I just read the comment about the “Hopey Pokey.” I think it goes like this:
You put your LEFT foot in,
You take your RIGHT foot out,
You put your LEFT foot in, and you shake it all about…
You do the Hopey Pokey, and you turn your words around…
That’s what it’s all about!
January 18, 2010 at 1:48 pm
Ha! I guess quite a few of you had the same idea I did; when Scott Brown is ahead by 20/30% tomorrow, I am going to switch over to MSNBC and watch them freak out.
Golly, right now, I am loving MA. They must have been like we were (WV)— demoralized because they never had any real choices til now.
But this campaign has inspired me on so many levels. We don’t know yet who all will be running (since they have til Jan. 31st to file) but by golly, when we find out, I am going to work hard to get rid of some of the career slime that are in there now.
Is it Tuesday, yet?
January 18, 2010 at 1:52 pm
This is so funny:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzoJ0Ag0Co8&feature=related
Reporter outside Coakley rally asks people, “Who are you here to see today?” Resoundly the answer is OBAMA! …”Anyone else?”….shrug…
January 18, 2010 at 6:49 pm
The other thing I noticed is that no one said President Obama? Is the President part not cool or something?
Or is this something only us old hags think is important? He IS (as much as I and others may not like it) President Obama. The two Mr. Bushes were President Bush and President Bush. Mr. Clinton was President Clinton, etc.
The office should be given some respect, even if the officeholder isn’t.
/rant off.
January 18, 2010 at 7:12 pm
It’s a cult of personality, not position.
January 18, 2010 at 1:52 pm
Could I also get the PO Box for donations? Thanks.
January 18, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Yes me also —thanks
January 18, 2010 at 1:55 pm
Most people, when facing a gloomy day with lots of rain, anxiety over paying bills, and uncertainty over their future, may turn to their deity of choice to help them get through it, but they aren’t going to prioritize getting worked up over yours. I think that’s kind of the animating spirit behind class New England and Midwestern sensibilities.
January 18, 2010 at 1:59 pm
errrr “classical” not “class”.
January 18, 2010 at 1:58 pm
A good chunk, possible a huge chunk of “support” for Coakley may actually be college students not even registered to vote in MA. I say Brown by 11 Points.
January 18, 2010 at 2:07 pm
I agree brown ahead by 10 or so. But his media drum beat of a “dead heat” all day is driving me nuts. Typical left wing slant to create an illusion. If “dead heat” then media influence greater, and undecided’s may be swooned. Tired of seeing this psyc strategy used by left side. C’mon peeps… IT IS NOT A CLOSE RACE !!! BROWN WAY AHEAD.
January 18, 2010 at 2:34 pm
Personally, I think all the “dead heat” stuff will be hilarious when Brown takes it in a landslide.
Stay safe out there today, guys. Let’s see this through.
January 18, 2010 at 4:49 pm
Better to spin it as a dead heat today though, so as not to urge Brown voters to stay home.
January 18, 2010 at 2:01 pm
Just heard Rush quoting some Harvard business school professor saying that the Mass people are suffering from seasonal affective (sp) disorder. Yeah, that’s why they are unhappy.
January 18, 2010 at 2:03 pm
Something else that poll watchers… or post-poll watchers… need to be aware of:
REPORTS: 116,483 DEAD VOTERS Registered In Massachusetts!
January 18, 2010 | Leave a Comment
The Washington News Alert is reporting more than 100,000 dead voters are registered in Massachusetts!
January 18th, 2010, Woburn, MA—116, 483 registered Massachusetts voters are dead, according to an analysis conducted by Aristotle International, Inc. a software and digital database developer.
We said it this morning and we are not the only ones who get it:
According to Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson, “The implication of dead people showing up at the polls means that it’s no longer sufficient to win an election with a simple majority. Now, candidates need a 4 or 5 point swing just to pad against potential fraud.”
http://www.foundingbloggers.com/wordpress/2010/01/reports-116483-dead-voters-registered-in-massachusetts/
January 18, 2010 at 2:13 pm
Is this called Zombie Politics?
January 18, 2010 at 2:16 pm
Aren’t states supposed to clear their voter rolls every so often?
January 18, 2010 at 4:18 pm
They don’t clear the rolls often enough. That’s why I am glad that we have to show picture i.d. in Michigan now.
January 18, 2010 at 9:27 pm
Now we know what “dead heat” means: warming up the dead to get them to the polls.

Do you see the look on the female anchor’s face? She’s shaking her head and I can’t tell what she says but she sounds shocked when he tells the results of the polls.
January 18, 2010 at 2:30 pm
I wonder if Obama wouldn’t mind coming out to CA and campaigning for Boxer. And most certainly his right hand gal Pelosi, after all she’s done for him.
January 18, 2010 at 2:35 pm
“lol’, So’ MSNBC why the long face? Yep, speaking like the true far left @ss kissing Network they are!
Now starting to throw Coakley under the bus and I thought for sure, they would have ended this interview with it all being BUSH’s fault anyways…
Yeah, the female anchor’ she wasn’t “a happy campier” listening to Ole’ Chrisy with polling news…
ROCK THE VOTE MASS. make us proud, and Brown victorious…!
January 18, 2010 at 2:36 pm

January 18, 2010 at 3:03 pm
A lot of hand-wringing over the timing of special elections. Why didn’t anyone point out that a special election wouldn’t have been necessary if they’d kept Massachusett(e)s original vacant senate seat procedure.
Recall that MR. Lion of the Senate urged the legislature to change the law so that an election was required rather than a gubernatorial appointment:
“What Mr. Kennedy doesn’t volunteer is that he orchestrated the 2004 succession law revision that now requires a special election, and for similarly partisan reasons. John Kerry, the other Senator from the state, was running for President in 2004, and Mr. Kennedy wanted the law changed so the Republican Governor at the time, Mitt Romney, could not name Mr. Kerry’s replacement. “Prodded by a personal appeal from Senator Edward M. Kennedy,” reported the Boston Globe in 2004, “Democratic legislative leaders have agreed to take up a stalled bill creating a special election process to replace U.S. Senator John F. Kerry if he wins the presidency.” Now that the state has a Democratic Governor, Mr. Kennedy wants to revert to gubernatorial appointments.”
from the WSJ
Joe Scarborough probably knows this; Chris Mathhews CERTAINLY does…why no mention of it?
January 18, 2010 at 4:15 pm
The female anchor is Mika Brzezinski, I think. Her father was National Security Advisor to Jimmy Carter. He handled the Iran hostage crisis.
January 18, 2010 at 10:30 pm
Chris Mathews:

Try not to cry on camera tomorrow night, mmmkay?
It’s unseemly for one of your gravitas.
January 19, 2010 at 12:05 am
I’m loving this vid. Sweet!
Yes, Obama DOES need to come to CA to campaign for Boxer. He needs to bring his teleprompter and his backup teleprompter and make a good show of it.

Amazing to see Matthew’s face and hear the tone in his voice. Ah, poor little Chris. No tingles up his leg.

January 18, 2010 at 2:47 pm
Can someone please tell us what the demographics are in bellwether counties?
January 18, 2010 at 2:49 pm
I am expecting this to be a huge Brown win! Be prepared… we’re probably going to hear more “it’s Bush’s fault” the rest of this week than we’ve heard since 2008 so far. They certainly CAN’T blame their own America-ruining policies; or their lack of interest in what their constituents said. Of COURSE not. Everything in the world (probably including the Haiti earthquake yet) is Bush’s fault!
January 18, 2010 at 3:15 pm
Do you know what the demographics are in the bellwether counties?
January 18, 2010 at 2:28 pm
Thanks for posting all these great videos.
Don’t know if this is old news (you all at Hillbuzz are so on top of things!), but a MA Dem mayor just endorsed Brown:
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/01/dem_mayor_of_quincy_ma_endorse.html
“James Sheets a six term Democratic mayor of Quincy today endorsed Scott Brown for United States Senator.”
KEEP MAKING CALLS FOR BROWN TODAY! LET’S NOT TAKING ANYTHING FOR GRANTED! WE CAN PUT HIM OVER THE TOP! LET’S DO IT!

1. Keep mobilizing, calling, donating, posting — we have the momentum.
2. Anyone who can, help your network get out to the polls.
3. Keep eyes open! Camera phones, digital cameras — watch for any thug tactics.
4. Be ready to count every darned last vote — this will be KEY.
5. Be ready to raise the people’s voices, should Brown win and not be seated in a timely manner.
This has become a referendum on corrupt, power-hungry, media-slick, hypocritical government. And I agree with the poster who said that the minute it became a referendum on Obama, the BO deadenders lost.
I’ve always wanted to take down a Death Star.
Let’s roll.
January 18, 2010 at 2:51 pm
A thought occurred to me about Martha’s motivation. Perhaps she fears that if she doesn’t get into the senate, she might be a victim to this health care? I know, it’s cynicism, snark, snark!!
January 19, 2010 at 12:07 am
ROFLMAO!
January 18, 2010 at 2:57 pm
Also: I think the Obama-shilling MSM is starting to predict a safe win for Brown so that they can claim some victory if the win is close or, god forbid, if the loss is close. Don’t fall for it. MSNBC is the PR arm for the Democrats — be suspicious of anything it says! Keep your eyes on the prize!
January 18, 2010 at 3:03 pm
Hi all. If he does win tomorrow it will be fun to see the pundits and some of the anchors explode (I’m especially looking forward to see if Chris Matthews has another tingling sensation although this one would be a wetness sensation running down his legs rather then up). Having said that I hope all the Brown folks now redouble their efforts on the phone, organising rides to the polls for those that need it and especially having scrutineers at the polling sites to watch for dirty tricks. The bloggers have to be ready to report any and all tricks tried by the Dems and their buddies in the SEIU and the ACORN kids.
Make the margin of victory large enough so that ballots that suddenly turn up out of nowhere won’t make a difference.
January 18, 2010 at 3:17 pm
Don’t get cocky, boyz and girlz! Save the gloating until the winner is declared. Then pop the corks, and congratulate your selves.

MAKE CALLS NOW!!!
January 18, 2010 at 3:37 pm
Yep. Getting lulled into a false sense of complacency can be deadly. Can’t wait til tomorrow and this freakin’ feelin of pins and needles goes away. God I hope we can pull this off. My nerves are shot. GO Scott GO!
January 18, 2010 at 6:59 pm
Ditto. Back to work. It ain’t over till she concedes.
If you are out of Mass, do whatever you can to help. If you are in Mass, go vote for Brown no matter what the polls say. Weather’s not going to be great tomorrow. Lots of people are going to be tempted to stay home. Don’t be one of them, please.
We can win this – unless we go to sleep now and don’t wake up till Wednesday!
January 18, 2010 at 3:18 pm
David Shuster is suggesting that I am mentally incompetent because I am voting for Scott Brown. So, I guess that the OBAMA goons will be having US all committed to psycho wards. Then again, probably not because WE are the only ones who work and pay for this God awful stuff they keep enacting.
January 18, 2010 at 4:49 pm
your an evil mongerer and a right wing Miltia Aryan if you are against Obama’s healthcare. Sound familiar? Just swap out the word”healthcare” and subsitute “if your voting for Brown”"if you use the term terrorist”, “if you don’t support cap and trade” and “if you don’tsupport blah, blah blah”.if your not voting for them or agreeing with them 100%, your insulted, smeared and everything else. This is their one and only play. Doesn’t matter that your a registered Democrat. They foam at the mouth and go off the deep end at ANYONE that does not bow down to Barrack Chevez and what he wants.
Funny thing is, you might just agree with everything else they want to do but they will cut off their nose to spite their face and turn registered Dems into Republican votes :)

January 18, 2010 at 3:37 pm
I don’t just love THAT he says it, I love HOW he says it. This is not the time nor the place to be asking for votes. See me in half an hour, and we’ll talk. Class. Total class act.
I sure wish I lived in Mass. right now so I could vote Scott Brown!
January 18, 2010 at 3:49 pm
Poor Scott. He’s so tired the left side of his coat (love that brown coat he wear everywhere!) is folded in. It’s impossible not to love this guy!
January 18, 2010 at 3:50 pm
I meant his coat collar. (I guess I’m pretty tired, too!)

January 18, 2010 at 3:26 pm
Went over to Puma Pac site for the first time in many months and am shocked at the Brown bashing by the site owner! It should NOT be about gender first at all costs, and I am a middle aged white woman-one of the most hated demographics in this country! But to state Brown agreed with someone (more than likely a Democrat plant) who shouted to shove a curling iron up Coakleys butt, they are way out of line on this. I am extremely shocked at the narrowminded wrongfulness their position. I would like to know how they reoncile the fact that Coakely essentially let the true curling iron monster off the hook. You should be ashamed Murphy.
January 19, 2010 at 4:11 am
It’s very sad. Murphy helped to start a movement that helped we Hillary democrats deal with our pain. But it seems, she has become that which she rails against. I stopped reading her blogs on a regular basis a long time ago. She claims to want to stop violence against women and children but you are right, she’s totally ignoring what Coakley did. I’ve noticed when I do go over there she doesn’t have that many comments to her articles like she once did and I’m certain her unwillingness to look at the facts when those facts don’t support her personal opinions is a major part of why she may be losing readership. And yes, she should be ashamed of herself because she is a resident of Massachusetts and cannot help but know at least by now what Coakley’s office failed to do concerning the brutal rape of the 2 year old girl with a hot curling iron. I heard on Hannity the other night that the 2 year old victim spent over a month in the hospital. That little girl must have sustained terrible injuries both physically and emotionally – especially when the perpetrator was her own uncle.
January 18, 2010 at 3:28 pm
A couple of things that I heard today on Rush is that the mayor of Quincy, MA, who professed to be a member of the democrat party, has endorsed Scott Brown. The other thing that I’ve heard is that according to MA state Constitution, the present holder of that senate seat may not legally vote after Tuesday. In other words, his term automatically expires and therefore, has no standing to vote. Technically speaking, if this is correct, then the current placeholder cannot be that 60th vote. But, the most important thing is to vote Scott Brown into office!
January 18, 2010 at 3:37 pm
Let me comment that if SB fans can raise a mil a day for him, all the thousand commenters and lurkers getting their fixes of information and inspiration from this site ought to be able to cover operating expenses for the Boyz.
And another thing: Is there not somewhere out there a conservative or MOR or grassroots organization that can offer paid work to these guys? They know their activist stuff; take advantage.
January 18, 2010 at 4:10 pm
I donated earlier this afternoon! Great minds ……
January 18, 2010 at 3:38 pm
OK. This is going to be so fun on election night. I’ll be tuning in to MSNBC when Scott Brown wins this thing. Just as I tuned in after Gov. Palin gave her magnificent convention speech.
I vividly remember the utterly demoralized face of Rachel Maddow after that marvelous performance by the Gov. It was simply delicious.
But this win is gonna be like a neutron bomb
hit. They are gonna go apesh*t. A full on apoplectic On Air Meltdown. And. We. Get. To. Watch–Yay! It will be like watching the MSM version of Scanners–heads will explode.
Here is some advice for the MSM and all the other Coakley supporters out there. After Coakley loses the election you will go through what doctors refer to as the Kubler-Ross model of grieving.
The 5 Stages of Grieving:
1.Denial
2.Anger
3.Bargaining
4.Depression
5.Acceptance
It will be so much easier on you if you just accept the inevitable now instead of later. Yes, all of your dreams and hopes will be dashed but you’ve always got November 2010 to look forward to. Heh.

From National Review Online:
Voters Beware [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
Earlier I posted a complaint about marriage calls in Massachusetts. The reader was questioning the strategy. Daily Kos is pointing to the National Organization for Marriage as the caller. Not so, NOM’s president, Maggie Gallagher tells me.
A Brown campaign official who has been investigating tells me: “They are calling via a push-button survey and asking people if they support Obama. If you say ‘no,’ it hangs up on you. If you say ‘yes,’ it then proceeds to give you this rabid right-wing message and tell you to vote for Scott Brown. Again, that message is going to Obama supporters, so it looks like it’s deliberately designed to tick off Ds and Indies.”
Oh, yeah, that SOOOO sounds like Scott. Brace for more dirty tricks, and I really hope they find whoever is doing this and prosecute them!
January 18, 2010 at 3:45 pm
That is just plain SICK.
These people would sell their own souls for a vote. Or their momma’s soul.
Hell, they’d dig up their momma to get her to vote.
Disgusting.
January 18, 2010 at 5:09 pm
Or put grandma on a pill instead of replacing her hip. She just might be better off left to die, according to Obamacare.

The Scott Heard Round the World
http://spectator.org/archives/2010/01/18/shot-heard-round
*********
BOSTON, Mass. — Valerie LaCasse stood in sub-freezing cold Saturday evening in Middleboro awaiting the arrival of Senate candidate Scott Brown. She was one of hundreds who turned out in Everett Square for a chance to meet the Republican whose surging campaign has sent political shockwaves through Massachusetts.
LaCasse is a lifelong Democrat who voted for both Barack Obama and Ted Kennedy. It was Kennedy’s death in August that created the vacancy to be filled by Tuesday’s special election, but LaCasse won’t be voting for Democrat Martha Coakley.
“I never warmed up to her,” the Acushnet resident said of Coakley. “When she took that break at Christmas, that really irritated me — that she wasn’t out campaigning door-to-door like [Brown] was.”
LaCasse is certainly not the only Democrat swept up in the phenomenal groundswell of support for the GOP state senator who was barely known outside his district six weeks ago. One elected Democratic official — although required by the state party to support Coakley publicly — privately admitted over the weekend that he will vote Tuesday for Brown, as will his wife.
Coakley was “mailing it in” on the senatorial campaign trail, the official said, relating how in his own election, he had gone door-to-door “seven days a week” soliciting votes. After winning the Dec. 8 Democratic primary, however, Coakley seemed to shift into neutral, expecting to coast easily to victory in the general election. She even took a six-day vacation from campaigning in December.
As polls increasingly point toward a victory for Brown, criticisms of the blunder-prone Coakley campaign are being heard from many quarters. Friday in Boston’s North End, while Rudy Giuliani was in town to campaign for Brown, longtime Boston newspaper columnist Mike Barnicle stood on Hanover Street and shook his head when asked about Coakley.
“I’ve never seen a worse campaign for a Democrat,” said Barnicle, a liberal who is a regular commentator on MSNBC. “It’s an election, not a coronation.”
Coakley’s aloof personality, disastrous gaffes and strategic miscalculations may become a convenient explanation if, as many Massachusetts political observers now expect, the Democrat loses Tuesday. If her defeat can be explained in strictly tactical terms — a bad campaign by a clueless candidate — then liberals can argue that the election is neither a negative referendum on the first year of the Obama administration nor a harbinger of dismal Democratic prospects in the November mid-terms.
Such a narrow interpretation of this Massachusetts election — “The Scott Heard ‘Round the World,” as Brown’s supporters like to say — ignores the extent to which the Republican has emphasized conservative stances on key issues, including health care, economic policy and national security.
A lieutenant colonel in the National Guard, Brown has relentlessly criticized the Obama administration’s decision to grant civilian trials to accused foreign terrorists like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. Giuliani pounded that theme Friday while campaigning with Brown here, slamming Coakley for her assertion during a debate last week that terrorists were “gone” from Afghanistan. “What the heck does she think we’re doing there?” the former New York mayor said.
Brown has also been a consistent critic of the economic stimulus bill that President Obama pushed through Congress last year. “The fact is the stimulus has not worked. Not one new job has been created in Massachusetts, or anywhere in the nation,” Brown said in one of his earliest campaign statements. “Our country can’t afford any more stimulus spending that adds to our deficit without adding to employment.”
More than anything else, however, it is Brown’s opposition to the Democrats’ pending health-care legislation that turned the Massachusetts election into a crusade for conservatives nationwide. The Republican has vowed to be the “41st vote” against the bill, preventing Senate Democrats from maintaining the filibuster-proof supermajority needed for final approval.
While it has been speculated that Democrats may find some procedural means of bypassing that obstacle, to do so would be to ignore the clear message of this campaign. If opposition to the administration’s health-care policy can spur the election of a Republican in one of the nation’s most liberal states, Brown’s election would be an emphatic “no” in what is tantamount to a referendum on Obama’s first year in office.
The energy and enthusiasm of Brown’s campaign here in recent days is unprecedented for any Republican candidate in Massachusetts, longtime residents say. Among the crowd who waited in the cold Saturday evening in Middleboro for the arrival of Brown’s “Bold New Leadership” tour bus was Dick Glidden, a Navy veteran of World War II.
“In all my years,” said the 85-year-old local, “I’ve never seen anything like this.”

If you think the trolls are bad, just wait until we get started standing up to Obama and his commrads. A personality like his, so arrogant and self important gets very dangerous and angry when they cannot control things. So does Rahm.
After we take out Mass. and start telling Obama to stop his marxist agenda and listen to us, he will start pulling every trick in the Alinsky book to get back at us.
Watch for him to purposly tank the doller. Watch for a terrorist attack attempt so he can install some sort of martial law further down the line. Everyone needs to listen to Glen and store up as much money, food, arms as you can. When we start pulling this thing away from the crazed progressives it will not be good.
January 18, 2010 at 4:50 pm
are people really worried that he’ll be able to pull of martial law?
with what? the police? they’re on our side. the military? they’re on our side.
what’s he going to do, arm acorn and seiu? those people can’t even tie their own shoes, much less handle a gun.
January 18, 2010 at 5:41 pm
Call me a tinfoil-hat-sporting kind of a gal, but . . .
Obama signed an Executive Order in December making INTERPOL immune to all Constitutional constraints. If and when the regime comes for us, it will be in the name of local law enforcement, with INTERPOL calling the shots under the alias “The Department of Justice”. This is EXACTLY how the SS operated in Germany in the 1930s – using local police as their front.
Obama JUST signed an executive order which basically suspends the Constitutional prohibition against deploying the US military as law enforcement within the US. The legal term for this is “Posse Comitatus”. He has given himself and the Pentagon the power to deploy the Guard and Reserves at HIS discretion – bypassing the sovereignity of the states via a puppet council of ten hand-picked state governors. I can not emphasize how huge and scary these two EO’s are. Google this. It is all over the blogosphere.
Finally, China has been executing a buildup in its military that is unprecedented – and I use that term correctly, not rhetorically like Dr. U. I fear that after Dr. U. executes the big push to collapse the dollar and drive the people to full-blown uprising and secession, HE will request that the Chinese enter the US via the Pacific ports in order to provide “stability” and “peacekeeping”. This will be done in concert with and with the full blessing of the U.N. The Chinese, with their massive investment in US debt will be only too happy to help prop up the regime, because a full-blown revolution COULD mean the defaulting upon of all US debt.
Merciful Jesus, I pray that I am completely wrong about all of this. My hands shake as I type. BUT, we have to be ready. We have to brace. Tomorrow’s wonderful victory will be just the beginning. And, if I am right, it will accelerate the regime’s timetable because they will see that waiting for 2012 will no longer be possible.
Don’t be afraid. This kind of crap has been happening for the whole of human history. It just so happenes that we caught a little “Pax Americana” and have never had to deal with anything like this. But we can. We can do it. 2010 will be the year that we all become bona fide grown ups. Our collective, extended childhood is over.
January 18, 2010 at 6:35 pm
Nothing wrong with being prepared..I do think Obama has some pretty heinous things in store for us..that being said, Americans are a pretty scrappy bunch of folks.
January 18, 2010 at 7:29 pm
i just don’t see our military going along with this. or our police force, either. i’m not saying obama hasn’t laid the groundwork… i just don’t think it would work.
hitler was able to do what he did only after confiscating all weapons in the hands of citizens. there are too many of us who are armed, first of all… and no one can convince me that our military and police force would fall in line for him. at least not enough of them to be a win for him.
i could be wrong, of course. i kind of doubt it.

These creeps all project to achieve political ends. It’s the kind of behavior they exhibit and then they drive a message that lays the bad behavior at the opposition’s feet. That’s why a Black teaparty guy was beaten up, and a protester’s pinky was bitten off. The creeps are the rabble rousers, and then they call the victim out. Try anyway.

It gave me an idea for future elections that another way (albeit a bit primitive) to get the word out is to do just that. Then neighbors ask about it and, wham, you can have a nice little chat!

January 18, 2010 at 6:16 pm
However, if you read pumpac.org you see them pushing HARD for Coakley (most of them) and bashing Brown (most of them). They are somehow trying to justify Coakley’s detestable record, and trying to make Brown look like absolutely putrid. I was just in there reading and almost got sick at the attacks they leveled on a few pumas who were supporting Brown in there.
January 18, 2010 at 10:52 pm
The pumpac.org has really changed or just now showing what they are really about. I so support promotions of female leaders, but just like I expect male leaders to be forthright, self-thinkers and supportive of their constituents, I expect the same character from women too. Too just support them because they are women is not only stupid but defeats the purpose of women being recognized for their ability not their sex. I know longer belong to that group. Case in point, Look at Pelosi. What a joke!!!
January 18, 2010 at 5:51 pm

January 18, 2010 at 5:53 pm
My mother just called to let me know about her conversation with her 82 Year old Uncle who lives in Boston…and the call went like this, “Uncle Lou, who are you voting for in the election tomorrow?” “BROWN! I am not voting for that twit Coakley.”
He went on to tell her that he yelled, “What the hell is wrong with you?!” at his son for pulling the lever for Coakley and is hounding him relentlessly. His one daughter is voting Brown and hopefully the other one does too.
Let’s stay focused and keep fighting. Jan 19th is only the beginning!
January 18, 2010 at 6:22 pm
If they pay for their son’s college or apartment or anything, perhaps they aught to consider pulling out the monetary support and let him experience real life. If their son is supporting what has now become the faaaaaaaaar left, their son is part of the problem.
January 18, 2010 at 7:01 pm
If only it was that easy!My second cousin is 41 and married to a die hard Irish Catholic democrat. Our family is multi- generational conservative Roman Catholic. Go Figure.
All I know is my great Uncle will more than likely be ammending his will tomorrow. ;)
January 18, 2010 at 10:29 pm
If he’s 82, the “kids” are well past college age. Or he is quite a guy.
January 18, 2010 at 5:57 pm
This is the most bi-partisan politics I’ve seen since Obama became president. Democrats are crossing party lines to vote for the better candidate. Obama promised us bi-partisanship and didn’t deliver. Scott Brown is delivering it.
January 19, 2010 at 1:52 am
Makes my heart happier to see the bipartisanship than I have been in a long time. It really is a pleasure working with all of you.

Great little snippet from NRO:
MIT Students for Brown [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
An e-mail from about young men John Kerry might find dangerous:
I am a student at MIT and today I went running with a couple of my buddies from the track team through downtown Boston. We wore homemade t-shirts in support of Scott Brown. Having never done anything like this before, we were a little hesitant at first. However, a police officer stopped us within the first few blocks and told us that we needed to think of something to yell to bring attention to our shirts. He was very helpful. We covered a little over 6 miles from the Prudential Center, past Boston Commons, around the Garden center, and back along the Freedom Trail, yelling,”Vote for Scott!” The response was overwhelmingly in favor of Scott Brown. People were cheering us on and we got honks from police cars, garbage trucks, and even an ambulance. It was awesome. In the end, an older gentleman stopped us and gave us a box of cookies with Brown’s face on them. I will be shocked if Brown doesn’t win

Some comments from our ice-cream eating VP. In short, he’s complaining that the senate needs 60 votes to pass anything: http://www.politico.com/politico44/perm/0110/biden_slams_filibuster_fe40df44-9045-4c26-a715-51c427035eae.html
Well, Mr. Biden, where were you when the 60 votes issue worked against the Republicans? The Republicans were threatening to change the rules, but the democrats, a minority at the time, cried foul! What’s that phrase, “what’s good for the goose…?” Go ahead, tell your colleagues to challenge that threshold. That would be good to see.
Another story has appeared that Brown has surged to 9% lead: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0110/31621.html
People! Don’t be complacent! Get out and vote and maintain the pressure on Coakley by cranking up the support for Scott Brown! Lets make sure there is no room to doubt!
January 18, 2010 at 6:05 pm
Heh.

From tea partiers on Twitter:
TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AT ACORN AND SEIU. . .
All the many tea partiers here on Twitter wanted to send you one final “shout-out” before the big election in Massachusetts on Tuesday.
AND we wanted to share with you the results of our little tweeting campaign we’ve been conducting over the past week.
As you know, we’ve been tweeting articles and You Tube videos to both the National and Massachusetts media throughout the past week. Our tweets were to Newspapers, TV and Radio.
BOY OH BOY, were people interested in what we had to say!
• Over 100,000 tweets were sent;
• Over 20,000 people viewed the articles and videos we sent out;
• One national and several Massachusetts news organizations told us they would be investigating both of your organization’s activities on election day;
• Nearly 3000 people have told us they’d be bringing video cameras to polling places just to video you and yours “having election day fun.” (You wouldn’t believe where people told us they’d be hiding cameras!) Hmmmm. . . I wonder if any might be disenchanted members of your organizations?
Now, in light of all the attention all of you will be getting on Tuesday, we just wanted to give you some last minute advice:
1. ACORN and SEIU executives: you should wear your best suits, with a Red, White and Blue color scheme. Create that impression you are “All American”;
2. Be sure to wear your American Flag lapel pins;
3. For rank and file members, be sure you wear your Sunday-best SEIU and ACORN T-Shirts over your winter coats. And take time to iron them. It looks so much better on camera when you do.
4. Always SMILE! – You’ll never know when you might be on camera.
HAVE FUN ON ELECTION DAY!
Sincerely,
Tea Party Nation

Hello everyone! I’m back from Boston with my report.
Where to start? First of all, I want to say that the energy level is through the roof. The office where I was phone banking was PACKED. Not a chair to be found. Numerous people were coming and going taking yard signs for their neighborhoods, grabbing signs and standing on corners, etc. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming.
I went to the huge rally in Worcester yesterday. The streets were lined with people holding flags and clever home made signs like “The Scott Heard Around the World.” Cars that drove down the street were honking non-stop and giving the thumbs-up to us, cheering us on. The hall where Scott was speaking was completely filled, so hundreds of us went to a satellite location a few blocks down the street that had a huge screen. Scott is a very engaging speaker, who possesses the rare ability to deliver his message very crisply with just the right amount of humor. Most political speeches make me cringe, but this one was down right refreshing. One thing that really impressed me was after he finished speaking in the location that hundreds of us couldn’t get into, he came to speak at the hotel where we were.
I’m a little tired from this great adventure, so I must leave it at that for now. Many thanks to HillBuzz and everyone for the inspiration to travel to MA. Scott will win!
January 18, 2010 at 6:07 pm
cool! thank you so much for posting and letting us know!!
sounds like you had a great time!
January 18, 2010 at 6:14 pm
Thanks so much for all you’ve done and for sharing this fantastic story. And, among other things, I think you completely nailed it about Scott Brown’s gift for speaking. He has run a brilliant campaign, which enabled him to shine. He speaks clearly, keeps his message on point. He has the ability to be spontaneous, interject just the right amount of humor, etc. He connects with folks. He’s the real deal. You don’t see that often in a politician anymore. I see great things for him in his future. Truly great things.
January 18, 2010 at 6:16 pm
“Scott is a very engaging speaker, who possesses the rare ability to deliver his message very crisply with just the right amount of humor.”
Unlike the Usurper POTUS.
January 18, 2010 at 6:35 pm
Thank you so much for your report from the heart of the campaign. All of us that aren’t in MA appreciate and applaud your efforts. Go Scott Go!
January 18, 2010 at 6:57 pm
Good job, flag girl. Thanks for the post. Scott Brown will win!
January 18, 2010 at 11:17 pm
flag girl, welcome back!
And thanks for your report. You did an awesome job!
Somebody posted one of Scott’s speeches from yesterday (post #1) and it was just great!
Doug Flutie, Curt Schilling and John Ratzenberger were there, as well.
Go, Scott! Go, MA!
January 19, 2010 at 1:55 am
Lovely personal report. Thanks so much.

Keith Olbermann wonders why Brown’s Cosmo centerfold isn’t that big of a deal. I’m sure Olby’s done extensive research.

Did you hear the other Scott Brown scandal? He drives a pickup truck! Can you imagine? Can’t have somebody like that in office!
January 18, 2010 at 6:10 pm
what a buffon… I’m more than willing to bet a lot of women would vote for scott because of that.
oh the horror!!!
oh the horror!!!
he did a centerfold to pay for college…
oh the horror!!!
oh the horrot!!!
January 18, 2010 at 6:16 pm
Exactly!Just as Sarah Palin entered a beauty contest to get scholarships and money for college.Olbermann is a dumb f##k who is so fugly he couldn’t do either one when he was the same age.LOL
January 18, 2010 at 6:42 pm
This is why I think it was so SMART and BRILLIANT of the Hillboyz to bring it out up front and center. It completely disarmed the naysayers. They could not bring it up as a “look what is in his past”.
January 18, 2010 at 10:42 pm
I agree. By getting it out in the open pretty early, it was defused admirably. Because of Hillbuzz, I even mentioned the photo on a very conservative website by delivering his political creds, and then “now don’t get your knickers in a twist but ….” just to get it introduced so folks didn’t start freaking out at the last minute. Quite frankly, nobody made a big deal out it.
January 18, 2010 at 7:53 pm
Read this comment somewhere earlier today:…
“I’d rather have a naked conservative, than a well dressed liberal any day!”
…. or something like that.
January 18, 2010 at 8:08 pm
Much better to get free shit from the government. It’s so much more honorable?
LOL
They’re grasping at any straw that they can find.
January 18, 2010 at 6:19 pm
If it was a progressive ‘rat, his leg would be tingling.
January 18, 2010 at 8:13 pm
Now, what if I were to say that I wish Martha had done a centerfold when she were in law school? She’s still a babe and would look pretty good at 55. Too bad she’s such a nut case.

Anyone notice that if you google Martha Coakley, the link(s) to her site have a security check next to them. A. OK. If you google Scott Brown, his site has a question mark next to it.
January 18, 2010 at 6:32 pm
Good ol’ Google aka Obama. They manipulate the search engines now and in the past election. Wake up folks!
January 18, 2010 at 6:44 pm
I have said it before that there is a conservative search engine that helps conservative politicians. I guess that the search engines receive money for the hits it has. Next time try PalinIt.com or Bing.
January 18, 2010 at 10:45 pm
Try using http://www.startpage.com
They only hold onto search records for a couple of days, then dump them. I don’t trust google any more.

…CHECK OUT THE LINK. THERE’S TONS OF IMPORTANT INFO RELATING TO VOTER FRAUD…
January 18, 2010 at 6:34 pm
MESSAGE TO BLOG MODERATOR:
Do you think the info from Pam Geller’s site (Atlas Shrugs) is worthy of a new thread here at Hillbuzz? We’re down to the wire and our efforts need to transition to ensuring the vote is legit. Just a thought…
January 18, 2010 at 6:35 pm
Atlas is class act.
January 18, 2010 at 6:49 pm
Replying to my own post cause the original comment never appeared. Pam Geller has a HUGE piece up about how to do our part to protect against voter fraud. There’s a wealth of information and links and incredible ideas. And there’s things all of us can do, not just folks in MA. I think we should all check it out, and per my message to the blog moderator, I hope Hillbuzz will see fit to put the issues Pam raises front and center. This is the next battleground: the election and the days that follow.
January 18, 2010 at 7:13 pm
Evidently, one of the tea party organizations is footing the bill for air fare, etc to go to Mass. and help “proctor” the election by observation. I wish they would have put this out a few days ago. I could have gone.

This is unbelievable….Watch the video of Coakley’s speech at MLK celebration. It was 95% about her!!
January 18, 2010 at 6:59 pm
DISGUSTING!
January 18, 2010 at 7:12 pm
sorry, I could not watch it after 30 second. This is disgusting.
its all about her! nothing about MLK
January 18, 2010 at 7:28 pm
Unbelievable. It only took her 1:25 to bring up the election and at 1:47, it’s all Bush’s fault! No respect.
January 18, 2010 at 10:49 pm
Look at this way. She may have given a few more votes to Scott Brown.
January 18, 2010 at 7:36 pm
I am so thankful for your comments. These guys are always about themselves. It’s never been about serving and sacrificing.
January 18, 2010 at 8:09 pm
In reading about the breakfast for MLK I see that also Boston’s mayor Menino and Martin Luther King III speechified and did politicking from the dais, instructing them to vote Dem. So much for celebrating MLK day. As phony as all those MLK’s Day sales at the mall!
January 18, 2010 at 8:19 pm
That’s slimy. I’m sorry, you don’;t turn a remembrance for MLK into a freaking stump speech for yourself.
January 18, 2010 at 9:44 pm
King’s niece, the Rev. Alveda King, has long argued that her uncle was a Republican, though he acknowledged there was no documentation or voting record to prove it.
From a Fox News story discussing billboards placed by a black conservative group ragingelephants.com
January 18, 2010 at 10:52 pm
I’ve heard her. She is very involved in the pro-life movement today (she wasn’t always). Apparently MLK was also, and she believes the Eugenics aspect would have affected him greatly.
January 18, 2010 at 10:53 pm
Sorry. short-circuit here…
” Apparently MLK was also pro-life, ….”
January 18, 2010 at 7:00 pm
DISGUSTING!
I had to stop it at the 1:35 mark when Coakley launched into the campaign. Un. Freaking. Believable.

Heads up:
Per NRO:

“Boston paper: Dem operative admits to cheating on Brown ’04 state Senate race”
Quote from the link:
“In 2004, Brown won a special election to become state senator, despite the state Democrats scheduling the election to coincide with the Presidential primary, when Democrats would be flocking to vote for John Kerry. (As one Democratic operative recently put it to me: “We cheated, and he still beat us.”) Brown then won a re-match in November, on the same ballot as Kerry vs. Bush.”

I clicked through all the photos and they have the one of Coakley in the union hall (#25) and the guys there do not look happy to see her. In fact, the guy whose shoulder she’s leaning on looks like he’d rather be in the men’s room.
January 18, 2010 at 8:55 pm
Hillbuzzers, that post got me up off my butt to donate $50 to you to help pay your lawyers. I dont contribute money to blogs and political campaigns all that often, but I am grateful for all that you do, especially your sense of humor and zest for life in your political blogging. Even when you write about the dangers and exhaustion of a campaign you make it sound like a lot of fun, and that is very important, although intangible.
I think one reason Brown is doing so well is he has it too. It’s clear he likes people, likes himself, likes his belief system, and is having fun. That also attracts people to Sarah Palin, and it attracted people to Obama during his campaign (because the MSM shielded you from his arrogant testy side). People also liked Christie in NJ for the same reason. He was basically happy and could joke about himself.
Any politician with that quality will do better than one who is strained and tired-looking, all other things being even. So thanks for being a great example of verve, even when you dont feel vervy. And dont worry about having to act happy to energize the troops. You can be as tired and cranky as you want, because your natural bounciness shines through anyway.
January 18, 2010 at 8:57 pm
o.t. I’m trying to donate monet to this site using an American Express gift card and it keeps getting rejected. Am I supposed to activate the gift card somehow? I didn’t think so.

sorry donate money not “monet”
January 18, 2010 at 10:32 pm
Did you update your card or bank info with PayPal? That’s usually why they decline. You have to sign up at the PayPal site–it takes a minute- then they validate your card. Then you come back to this site at the header and click on donate.
Works with a prepaid card, as I recall, so should work with a gift card.
January 18, 2010 at 10:36 pm
You might have to call the 800 number on the back of the card if there is one, in order to activate it.

On other blogs.. they are calling for a caravan of trucks to drive to DC if Brown is not seated immediately.
Apperently Brown has said if he wins, he will be in DC on Wednesday.
January 18, 2010 at 10:19 pm
They have to wait for absentee ballots. 10 days.

Not if his margin of victory is way over the total # of absentee ballots not counted.

Slightly off topic, but Obama’s “We want our money back” talk is pissing me off royally. Most banks have already paid the TARP money back. Dumbass. Then he talks about how greed and corruption led them to their own demise……oh wait….except it DIDN’T because you all deemed them too big to fail. So instead of those banks reaping what they sowed, you all bailed them out.
Seriously, this makes me shake with anger.
Anyone know if we can find out the dates of contributions to candidates? Be interesting if big contributions went to senators in October of 2008.
Grrrrr…
Sorry, I know it’s off topic, but needed to vent somewhere!

I agree, Debra. I’ve been hacked off ever since I heard about this bogus “tax.” They’re mad because people get bonuses. Well, the bonuses are spelled out in these people’s contracts. That means that if you sign a contract to work for a company, it’s written in sand if the government has anything to say about it.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

We should seriously mount a campaign to say “WE want OUR money back.” What hasn’t been spent is sitting or invested somewhere collecting paltry interest. Where will that income go? Graft to pay off more cronies?
January 19, 2010 at 12:40 am
Sweetie, bonuses are out the window when the government has to give you large infusions of taxpayer money to keep you going. Most of the money was given with very little conditions attached, so the banks have no complaints here.
I am sure the banks are touched by your concern, & will think of you this summer when they are vacationing in the Hamptons, or the Cote d’Azur.

Also a few banks did not want to take the money and they forced them to take it and when they wanted to pay it back early they were told they couldn’t.

I love this damn song… sharing it for no particular reason than it makes me feel real good to here it..I miss the eighties!

Debra,
You are so right! I am no defender of some of these banks and their reckless practices, but many were forced to take TARP money. And most have already paid it with interest. This bank “fee” will be imposed on all sorts of banks, many of which don’t have (and never did) have TARP loans outstanding. Where are the Republicans refuting this??
January 19, 2010 at 12:49 am
Considering a GOP Pres started TARP, and a GOP-led Congress laid a big egg from 00-06, ya know, I don’t think they have much room to gripe.
January 19, 2010 at 1:11 am
You can’t blame the GOP if the Dems just continued the policies. If they did not like it, they should have stopped it.
January 19, 2010 at 2:56 am
How? The Dem party has a majority in both houses. Besides, I’m not sure the GOP has learned much.
January 19, 2010 at 9:38 am
Oh, and absolutely the GOP was part of the problem. But, the GOP isn’t the one saying this crap now.
And it’s not like I feel sorry for the banks, some of them did scummy stuff. I worked in the Title Insurance industry and although I didn’t have a lot of proof, in my gut I sensed some predatory lending victims. And I was there during the boom – I saw alot of people who never should have bought a house (based on their loan apps). No down payment, no assets, lots of debt, let’s give these people an Adjustable Rate Mortgage, sounds like a fine plan to me!
I just want a free market. And the GOP pissed me off for voting for the bailout, and it greatly tarnished my respect for W. I still love the guy, but that bill never should have been signed into law.
We gave money to banks that were irresponsible in the first place. We forced America to co-sign for these morons who made BC loans. Frankly, I don’t care what the banks did with the money we never should have given to them in the first place!!
Okay, vent off! :D
