We’d like to collect in this thread your favorite achievements of past First Ladies — this includes the women who served as hostessess for unmarried or widowed presidents.
What are your favorite stories about the good things they did, the things they achieved, and the elegant and patriotic ways they carried themselves?
We’d like an item for everyone from Martha Washington to Laura Bush, though we’re sure things will skew latter part of the 20th Century. So, let’s try to think hard about the 19th Century First Ladies and those who are often forgotten.

How could someone let her leave the house like this?
Per a special project we’re working on, from an idea Highlights for Children gave us years ago, we need to know what you believe were the most hideous outfits Michelle Obama wore in 2009. You can, technically, pull some from the campaign days of 2008 too, but it seems like she’s worn more bizarre things since Dr. Utopia took office anyway.
Clearly, you know what we think is the worst — the dress made from a nursing home couch stained with cat pee that she wore not just once, but likes so much she keeps wearing to different things, including an appearance on The Tonight Show. She even liked it so much she had the original bat-like bow replaced with a bow made to look like a larger, fatter bat (fruit bat morphed into cake or Oprah bat).

Ray Stevens comes back from the dead to fight Healthcare Rationing
Years ago, when we watched the spectacle that was Liza Minnelli’s wedding to David Guest (which once ranked as The World’s Most Credible Display of Heterosexuality until Tom Cruise’s marriage to Katie Holmes, Charlie Crist’s recent wedding to a novelty-and-fake-beard-company heiress named Carole Rome, and Congressman Aaron Schock’s shirtless poolside romps with bikini-clad busty “babes”), stunned so many people we thought were dead and buried were walking into the ceremony. People we hadn’t seen or thought about in DECADES. Yet, there they, or their ghosts, were, to bear witness to one Hell of a frightfest.
And so it is that Ray Stevens has released a new song taking on Healthcare Rationing and the Utopia the “Gang of 60 Jokers” is ramming through the Senate before Christmas. We thought Stevens, who used to sell records on late night TV, had been dead for years…so happy to see he’s not, and that he’s still got a way with driving home a point through catchy song and on-point cross-dressing.
Love that he’s evolved his schtick to YouTube, too.
We need more of this, people.

Michelle Obama's Bad Behavior
There’s a project we’re working on that you’ll all like very much, but we need some help with. We need to compile a list of the bad things Michelle Obama has done in her lifetime: things she’s said, like the “proud of my country for the first time in my adult life line” or the “I can’t even buy earrings for $600 bit”, to rude things she’s done like give the Queen of England an Ipod and the Prime Minister of Great Britain toy helicopters from the White House gift shop. There’s also her most recent bit of wisdom, spoken during the December 13th Oprah Christmas Special for Obamamas, in which she asked, “What are you getting me? You should feel pressure”. Apparently, that’s what she thinks the meaning of Christmas is.
Have you seen a list of any similar quotes from her?
We want to find exact quotes, dates, and other instances of bad behavior. We need about 50 of them total to complete a very special project.

Question of the Day: What can you do to drive the Liberals from Congress like snakes from Ireland?
We know you are in holiday mode right now, getting ready for Christmas. Heaven knows we all need a little Christmas (right this very moment). But, 2010 is fast approaching and if there is any chance of saving this country from the Liberals, you need to decide if it’s time for you to make that big scary leap into activism.
Trust us, we know how you feel. ”Activist” is a pejorative to many of you — especially the conservatives who found their way here by way of Rush or Dennis Miller or Tammy Bruce along the way. None of us here ever wanted to be activists. Frankly, we really kind of liked being random guys in Boystown having a good time, enjoying life, and not getting our hands dirty in any of this political stuff. But, the DNC and Democrat Party changed all that for us — with how they behaved in 2008, and everything they have done since. We cannot sit idly by and watch these people destroy this country.
So, we’ve had to change our lives drastically. Behind the scenes here at Buzzquarters, here’s what we spend our time doing when we aren’t writing essays for you:
(1) READING — we spend as much time as possible reading up on past campaigns, past attempts Liberals have made to seize power, past Alinsky efforts, the history of ACORN, etc. Everything the MSM does not want us to know, we work hard to figure out. Every day we learn more about George Soros and become more convinced than ever he is the one behind all of this. We wish every day that man has a heart attack, and he’s removed from this Earth by some benevolent power (including Mossad, if we could only so dream).
(2) NETWORKING — this one is the hardest for us because we, truthfully, are kind of shy in real life. But, we force ourselves to go to as many events as possible, to exhange cards and meet as many people as we can when out just about anywhere, and try our level best to reach out to as many people as we can via this site to try to get people not only informed, but in contact with one another. In 2010, we are going to need an army of active and engaged volunteers to drive the Liberals from Congress. Every day is an opportunity to build that. We cannot let a single day pass without doing what we can to fight for this country…and right now that means finding ever more recruits.
(3) STUDYING — as an extension of #1 above, we make flash cards on the issues and constantly do debate prep here at Buzzquaters. We have not stopped doing this since the campaigns, when we used to surrogate speak first for Hillary Clinton and then for McCain/Palin. Whenever we go anywhere, Utopians find us to be their worst nightmares because they talk in generalities and have no idea what they are saying while we can lay cold hard facts down on them. Yes, this is a royal pain in the neck to do. We don’t especially enjoy spending all of our free time preparing for impromptu debates with strangers in bars or the occasion round on some TV or radio show. But, in 2010 we’ll have to be out canvassing and campaigning, and we want to stay sharp so we can cover the most ground and be the most effective. It is going to take a massive Herculean effort to drive the Liberals from power…and just like it takes time in the gym every day to become a bodybuilding, it takes mental effort and exercise to build the ease and dexterity it requires to convincingly out-debate these loons at every turn.
(4) TECHNICAL SKILLS — we’ve still yet to master YouTube video making and Photoshopping, which is a damn shame, but thankfully we’ve found EXCELLENT photoshop artists out there who’ve helped us create images we’ve needed for various things. We’ve found that essays alone don’t go viral. We need pictures. We need video. We need people adept at social networking. We’d personally love to be one-stop-shopping for all of this, but we know we never will be. Not when we are working multiple jobs and doing all of this in our spare time. Sometimes, you have to know your limits. But, every day we try to learn something new that we can use going forward to be better at getting messages out and making things go viral. This is all a massive effort to counteract the MSM. We all have to operate in the reality that the MSM is part of Dr. Utopia’s White House and neverending campaign machine. The MSM will lie for him, cover up bad news for him, and do everything it can to not only re-elect him in 2012, but ensure Democrats keep Congress in 2010. It is up to all of us to get the truth out to as many Americans as possible. So far, we’d say collectively the anti-Utopian efforts of all sites out there is abotu 15% of what it could be. We need to get smarter…find easier ways to make things go viral…package our message in easier bites (bytes)…and find ways to drive narrative better than the pros in the MSM do. This is very much a cyber David versus deep pockets conglomerate Goliath fight.
(5) LEADERSHIP — All of us need to work under the assumption that no leader will actually emerge to embody the charge against Liberals in 2010. We want Sarah Palin to step up to the plate and assume that role, but we can’t count on her doing that. Absent a strong and committed leader, the counter-Utopia movement to oust Liberals needs to be comprised of millions of individual leaders, each hitting Liberals in our own ways. Every day, we need to all hit them on every front imaginable, so there’s no way the White House and DNC can counteract everything that is being thrown at them. We need to bring our friends and families together into little Coffee Clubs across the country, where we share information and work out action plans to educate our own communities about what is going on in Washington. We are the Resistance to this Liberal socialist takeover of our country; every day is a chance for us to stand up and work to bring these villains down. And if someone like Palin does eventually emerge, we’ll all be ready to join together under her flag and follow her as she marches on Washington and drives these Liberals from our government hopefully once and for all.
It is vitally important that you begin your evolution from someone who reads political blogs and is angry at home in front of your computer to someone who reads political blogs, gets angry, and then channels that anger into action. You need to get organized, become efficient, and develop action plans for what you can do to drive the narrative in 2010 that Liberals in Congress need to be driven out and Democrats need to be defeated at every turn.
It’s going to be an uphill struggle. None of it is going to be any fun. You will probably make a lot of enemies. It’s going to take up your free time. Trust us, it will take up your free time. But, America is worth it.
At least to us. Our great hope is that in 2012 we can defeat Dr. Utopia, install Sarah Palin in the White House, and she and a Republican-controlled Congress can work day and night beginning the day of her Inauguration to roll back everything Dr. Utopia and the Liberals did to America under his single term in office. When that happens, we will take a much needed break, and could very possibly leave the political realm for keeps…as we will at that point consider our tour of duty over in all this.
So, we are willing to commit the next two years of our lives to this cause. We are not going to take any vacations. We are going to spend all of our free time doing the five points above…and more, as we think of them. We are going to keep this site running, and hopefully grow it into something more productive and farther reaching than what it is now. We will be a little engine of activity here in Boystown, Chicago — in hopes we inspire you to be little engines of activity in your home towns too.
To our knowledge, nothing like this has ever been attempted before: a concerted effort to counter the MSM on the grassroots level with average people stepping up and becoming little information hubs of their own, taking charge of their communities, in one big effort to take back the country from radical Liberals.
When we are finished, we want the word “Liberal” to be right up there with “c***”, “n*****”, “k***”, and every other unacceptable pejorative in this country. ”Liberal” will make people of the future CRINGE, the way they’d cringe if called a Nazi. By 2012, if we’ve informed the public enough, just about as many people will willingly identify with Liberalism as currently clamor to join the Klan. Americans needs to see these people for the villains that they are, and for the destruction they’re causing, and hope to cause, in this country.
What can you do to help drive Liberals from Congress, defeat ACORN once and for all, and make Liberalism something people never again want to associate with?
Start thinking…because come Thursday and Friday you will be off visiting relatives, gathering in groups, and that sure sounds like a great opportunity for some networking and strategizing.

We’ve lived in Chicago for five years now and have yet to run into him. Chances are, we don’t travel in the same circles, but nonetheless. We pity the fool who doesn’t want a little T. with their Christmas cookies. Fool.

We will keep adding them to the original Joker thread we had running, which has Claire McCaskill and Al Franken Jokerized. If you can help Joker others in the “Gang of 60″, it woudl be appreciated. This resource should be used for the next four years to make sure every single Democrat voting for the Healthcare Rationing bill gets booted from Congress. It is a terrible bill, the worst in Senate history, written in the dark, voted on in the dead of night, and flying completely in the face of what the public wants. It is criminal behavior, and we believe everyone voted for it should be removed from office as the Jokers they are.

We are at the end of Act Two, in a story of Three Acts
Something occurred to us today, skewed as everything is through a cinematic lens, as we’re all Children of the 80s who grew up with TV and movies as our go-to analogies and references.
What we are seeing in American politics today is very much like the Lord of the Rings Trilogy; we’re talking about the Peter Jackson movies, as we have never read Tolkien’s books.
In the films, the first installment set up the opportunity for the forces of good and darkness to have the ultimate clash that had been building for years. Sauron, the leader of all things dark and destructive, had at last rebuilt his fortress of Mordor, where he began to assemble his forces for his takeover of the world. A ragtag collection of heroes, some of whom have never gotten along, came together to stand against this tide of darkness. A fellowship was born, with the ultimate goal of defeating Sauron and his minions once and for all.
Part Two, the Two Towers, further challenged the band of heroes, as it increasingly became more evident the Battle of the Ages was drawing near, with stakes never higher. The world as everyone knew it was about to end, as darkness rose to maximum strength and prepared to descend across the land.
In The Return of the King, the final installment, the great Fellowship had expanded to included millions — everyone who believed evil must be defeated, coming together, working hard, and in many cases sacrificing everything to save the world they loved. The Battle was fierce. For most of it, things worked against the heroes. The powers of darkness got in many good licks, and seemed unstoppable, but through raw courage and determination the Fellowship prevailed, Sauron was defeated, and a new age was born free (for the moment) from any further assaults from Mordor.
Great Merciful Zeus, we’re using Lord of the Rings analogies, but swear we’ve never been to a Renaissance Fair in our lives.
But, we really do feel like the nation’s at the opening credits of that Return of the King movie. The period of 2010-2012 is going to be a major tipping point in American history — the likes of which we have not seen in generations. Honestly, we hate that we are alive in this moment. We would much rather be our parents’ or grandparents’ ages, or be dead and buried already. Routinely, we keep thinking about our grandmothers, in particular, and how relieved we are they died years ago and don’t have to witness what the current administration is doing to this country. They would be heartbroken by what the Liberals are up to.
Liberals are doing to American what Hitler, Stalin, Khomeini, Hussein, Castro, the Kims of North Korea, and the Emperor of Japan could never do — they are destroying this country, from the inside, with the current president gleefully playing Romulus Augustus, achieving the goals our worst foreign threats could never realize.
We are laying on the melodrama thick, we know. But, we can’t help writing from a place of deep emotion here. It is a trying, taxing, soul-killing time for us.
There are no words to tell you how agonizing it is for us to watch moderate Democrats in the Senate vote for the Healthcare Rationing Bill, with all of its unconstitutional and un-American provisions. It reminds us of all the previously good characters in Lord of the Rings who were zombiefied by dark magic and turned against their own people by the seductive evil of Sauron. We are realizing this week that people we’ve supported for years are people we now need to boot from office at the first available opportunity. It’s like finding out your brother is a serial killer; you can’t look at him the same way ever again, you can’t in good faith allow him to remain positioned to do more of the same. Whatever you feel for him on a personal level is in direct opposition to the reality that he must be stopped. And this is how we feel about all 60 Democrats in the Senate.
There is no such thing as a good Democrat in Washington right now. There is no one standing up for the Constitution or the American people. There is not a single Democrat standing tall and firm demanding this legislation be properly debated, be conducted in broad daylight and not the cover of darkness, and be put before the American people to let Americans properly weigh in on what’s going on.
Instead of Sauron, we have Soros at the root of all of this. Somewhere, in one of his palaces, the evil he’s been plotting against this country for decades is finally coming to pass. He is close to reaching his endgame. It is more terrifying than any horror movie known to man. Our long-held hope that Mossad or MI5 would one day have the guts to do what the CIA seems prevented from doing itself has faded: there is no real-life James Bond in place to handle supervillains like Soros. This is Lex Luthor, Blofeld, Goldfinger, and Sauron on steroids. He is currently succeeding beyond his wildest dreams.
In a sick and perverse way, everything that is happening now is actually a good thing. Remember the movies. In Return of the King, the good guys got pummeled to within an inch of their lives. Sauron’s armies seemed unstoppable, and laid seige to everything good and just. Centuries of tradition were smashed…everything people had worked so hard for was destroyed…people’s lives were ruined. Sauron seemed close to final victory…but the forces of good stood firm, never gave up, didn’t surrender.
The pluck and courage of the smallest of heroes saved the day.
The little guy, the weak, meek, and humble.
That’s who brought down Sauron and his minions.

Well, folks, we’re all hobbits today. Here in Chicago, we have no idea what the future holds for any of us. On many a day, we’ve wondered how much better life would be to never think about any of this stuff. We see people out in Boystown who never read the news, do not follow Washington, and seem to have an awful lot of fun rocking out to Lady GaGa while looking at the pictures in (but never reading) People magazine. Our blood pressure would sure be lower if we were in that crowd. We’d have a lot more free time if we didn’t spend all waking hours on politics.
But, America is worth fighting for, as we’ve noted in other posts today. It feels like this is, indeed, our hour to serve. Like it or not, it’s your time to step up to the plate as well. What we THINK is happening, quietly, without the MSM even noticing, is that Americans are slowly organizing to take back this country from the Liberals. The GOP is not doing this. The RNC is not behind it. It’s coming from the PEOPLE. We would not be at all surprised if sometime in late 2010, early 2011, there’s a march on Washington in the millions and Congress is actually overtaken and occupied by the people. The military will not fire on American citizens. It seemed an impossibility just a few months ago, but we are starting to believe there’s a real chance the government could be dissolved in the next two years if public anger grows enough. The government only has the power it wields because the people have granted it that power.
When elected officials pass legislation in secret, in the dead of night, against the will of their consituents in efforts to deprive them of their rights and force them to buy things they do not want to while enriching the Senators themselves, that’s tyranny — and possibly treason.
We pledge to find some way in 2010 to work even harder than we do now, researching, writing, organizing, and revving Americans up to take back our government from the Liberals hellbent to destroy it on George Soros’ orders. This is definitely not what we want to be doing with our lives right now. But, it sure looks like it needs to be done.
Go watch Return of the King and be inspired. We’re going to play it tonight when we get home.
Things are bad. They will get worse in 2010. But something’s going to happen, we can feel it, where the country rises up at large and sets things right again. Soros will fail like Sauron before him, and heroes will arise to save this country from the fools who seek to destroy it.
We hope many of you out there are in the ranks of those heroes.
Senator Roland Burris has lost our support: No one gives money to ACORN and deserves any help from us
We will continue to like Roland Burris as a man, because we know him here in Chicago and know he is a good man. He has long been a friend to LGBTQ causes, and we will never forget that.
But, from today forward, we will no longer support him politically — we can’t, because he is working to get funding for ACORN in the Utopiacare Healthcare Rationing Bill.
ACORN is a trump card for us…if anyone stands with ACORN, and actively helps it get taxpayer money, that fact trumps anything we personally felt about the person before the ACORN-enabling. ACORN is one of the greatest threats to democracy in this country — it is a vile, destructive cancer.
It appears ACORN has roared back stronger than ever before, after being momentarily attacked a few months back. Democrats are proving themselves to be the party of corruption by their consistent support of ACORN.
We call upon Republicans to renew their assault on ACORN — destroying it in all its forms should be Priority Number One in 2010.
America is under assault from all sides in this Administration.
