One of the most bizarre things that’s happened to us in the last two years were the occasions when Rush Limbaugh read things we wrote on the air and called us “those HillBuzz babes in Chicago”.
One of our friends was driving in her car, listening to him live on the radio, and had to pull over, because she couldn’t believe her ears. Being lifelong moderate Democrats, people who DESPISED Limbaugh in high school, college, and most of our adulthood, our friend realized at that moment how surreal things had become, with worlds colliding left and right. “Dear God in Heaven, Rush Limbaugh’s reading you. You’re saying things Rush Limbaugh likes. You and Rush Limbaugh are on the same page. Rush Limbaugh thinks you are women. Somewhere, cats are chasing dogs, rain’s falling up, and Loni Anderson’s going to win an Oscar”.
We’ve been repeatedly teased about the “HillBuzz Babes” remark — which is still, to this day, hilarious to us. We have no idea if Rush did that on purpose, or if he just assumed Hillary Dems in Chicago were all women, but it’s still so funny.
We don’t listen to Rush’s show, and didn’t catch when Dennis Miller was talking about us last month either, but enjoy when those of you that do listen to conservative radio tell us what’s up. The one good thing that’s come of The Golden Age of Hope and Change is that it’s proved people who don’t agree on anything, but love this country, can indeed fight the good fight on the same side.
We will say this to you now, so we are clear, because we want this to be as forceful as possible: we believe Rush Limbaugh is crucial to stopping socialism from destroying this country. He is an American hero. No, we don’t like things he’s said about the Clintons in the past. No, we don’t agree with him on everything. But, we know he loves this country. He does not want to see this country destroyed. He is a powerful voice we are counting on to help lead the resistance movement for the next two years so that Dr. Utopia can be driven from the White House and Liberals can be exorcised from Congress.
We. Need. Rush. Limbaugh.
We need him healthy. We need him fired up. We need him loud, uncensored, and outspoken. We need him on the air 24/7, inspiring millions to speak out themselves and never, ever back down in the face of Liberal threats or intimidation.
Rush, if you ever read this, your “Babes” here in Boystown are asking everyone we know to send positive energy your way and pray, wish, and hope for your speedy recovery. When we disagree with you, you remain a worthy opponent. When America itself is threatened and our liberties and freedoms are assaulted by the current Administration and its runaway Liberal Congress, you are a much-needed ally.
You are critical to the resistance.
It is not your time to go.
You have a lot more work to do, sir, and so your “babes” in Chicago wish you speedy recovery to do that.
December 30, 2009 at 10:54 pm
Good heavens “babes” you continue to inspire me with your graciousness and outreach of support for some with whom you may occasionally disagree.
It was Rush who introduced me to your site; which, is now one of my must reads in the a.m. and the late p.m.
You have captured and written eloquently about the changing American spirit. I commend your talents and look forward to your every post.
December 30, 2009 at 11:50 pm
Couldn’t agree more – as always, HB boys, you are so gracious, humble and honest. Thank you.
And YES – am seriously praying. America needs Rush. Please stay with us, Rush!
I can’t stomach the thought of how base, nasty and ruthless Kos et al will be about this. Ugh ugh ugh.
December 31, 2009 at 11:28 am
I found you guys through Rush too. Riding in my car, laughing my ass off to “Operation Chaos”.
I’d never listened to Rush before that drive, and I’ve been addicted to him (and now you guys) ever since. That was during the time that Hillary SHOULD have won the nomination.
Get well soon, Rush! We need you and the Hillbuzz “babes” to inspire and encourage us!
December 31, 2009 at 12:25 pm
Ditto. I am a Rush-HBer as well.
“we believe Rush Limbaugh is crucial to stopping socialism from destroying this country. He is an American hero.”
I love my Buzzboys. :) Thank you for recognizing who Rush is, guys. Thank you.
December 31, 2009 at 5:34 pm
I must ditto the others. I too found you through Rush and have been hooked ever since. Keep up the good work HB and Godspeed Rush. We need you both and love you tons.
January 1, 2010 at 8:08 pm
(raises paw) I heard about you on Rush as well.
December 30, 2009 at 10:58 pm
Good thing we don’t have Utopiacare yet… I’m sure a Utopia run Death Panel would gladly pull the plug on El Rushbo.
Yes, we all need to pray for him. And thank you, Hillbuzz for being so gracious!
December 30, 2009 at 11:39 pm
I am typing through tears as I type this. Rush is the ONLY one with strength enough to cut through the fog and expose Dr. Utopia and his shady dealings. I pray for Rush to be well, and that God will gently deliver him back to us for we need him to win over this liberal establishment media.
Have you guys and gals seen the vile at HuffPo, DemocraticUnderground and Kos? VILE, VILE, VILE and death wishes GALORE! Filthy vermin!
GOD, PLEASE STAY WITH RUSH AND LET HIM COME BACK TO US. OUR WORK IS NOT FINISHED.
Amen.

December 31, 2009 at 12:17 am
I read about it on Politico… same thing.
Ugly.. wishing for him to die ect.
December 31, 2009 at 5:16 am
Kos, DU and huffpoop are just rancid cesspools. It’s best to stay far, far away from them.
December 30, 2009 at 11:06 pm
Good God, the man just lost all that weight and got in good shape, this is unbelievable. I wish him a speedy recovery.
Better yet, I hope this is being exagerated by our enemies in the mainstream media and Rush only has indigestion.
My prayers are with you Rush.
January 1, 2010 at 8:10 pm
He has been on the see-saw of weight loss and weight gain, and he may have taken it off too fast this time.
The guy needs to be very careful!
December 30, 2009 at 11:08 pm
Does anyone else think it is odd that Obama, Pelosi and Rush were all in Hawaii, w/ Rush 2 days ago in Kona, the Big Island, where Ms. Pelosi is vacationing?
Perhaps it is just coincidence; the weather there is lovely.
Hopefully Rush will recover fully and soon.
December 31, 2009 at 12:13 am
I believe Palin was there the week before.
WOW:
Hawaii is the place to be

Palace for Pelosi; Hawaii, Apparently a Popular Respite for Political Big Wigs;
By Malia Zimmerman, 12/30/2009 4:22:59 PM
Palace for Pelosi
West Hawaii Today reports today that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is vacationing in luxury for a whopping $10,000 a day on the Big Island:
“…House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is slumming reportedly in the Presidential Suite at the Hualalai resort for what is said to be a rate of $10,000 nightly or more — hopefully on her dime, rather than a corporate credit card. Her staff steadfastly said she refuses interviews during her stay in Kona; can’t interrupt that vacation break.”
See the full column here: http://www.westhawaiitoday.com/articles/2009/12/30/opinion/columns/column01.txt
See Hawaii Reporter’s story published yesterday about her visit: “Heightened Security Detail Costs for Speaker Pelosi and President Obama Will Fall on Local Taxpayers”
Obama and his friends are currently paying $4,000 a day to stay in their three Kailua beachfront homes over 10 days.
Who says crime doesn’t pay?
Hawaii a Popular Respite for Political Big Wigs
Besides Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama being in Hawaii, national conservative talk show hosts Michael Medved and Rush Limbaugh also have visited the islands this holiday.
In addition to attending a fundraiser for James ‘Duke’ Aiona’s gubernatorial campaign, Medved spoke at an event last week organized by Hawaiian Values, Smart Business Hawaii, Grassroot Institute of Hawaii and Hawaii Reporter.
And that isn’t the end of the political parade: Hawaii’s GOP announced today that former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush, Karl Rove, will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 Lincoln Day Dinner on Friday, February 26, 2010, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Rove, a regular contributor for Fox News, Newsweek magazine and the Wall Street Journal, is known as “The Architect” of Bush’s 2000 and 2004 election victories. No surprise, Rove is despised by the Lefties, but has moved down the hate rankings since former Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin came onto the national political scene.

December 31, 2009 at 11:30 am
Obama probably had him poisoned.
January 1, 2010 at 2:30 am
True enough.
Let’s do some voodoo in our turn on the Gray Communist.
December 30, 2009 at 11:11 pm
12-3pm on M-F would never be the same without him…we would never be the same without him…
December 30, 2009 at 11:12 pm
Hi Hillbuzz boys – I won’t call you babes. I want to say that it was Rush who directed me to your site and I’ve never left. He was impressed with your writing and your analyses that he talked about what you wrote. I have always believed that Rush was right about this nation. He lives for the destruction of liberalism, and he is a very worthy partner in the conquering of socialism. My prayers are for the Lord to bless Rush, and for the Lord to continue to work through both Rush and Hillbuzz.
December 31, 2009 at 5:06 am
Amen, Bill… Amen.
I have not been able to go to sleep tonight… I’m worried sick. I have to work in about 2.5 hrs, but luckily today I’m working from home.
My prayers are nonstop for Rush’s recovery. This representative Republic needs firebrands like him. Or else we lose out to idiots like Ed Schultz or Keith Olbermann. (blech!)
December 30, 2009 at 11:12 pm
I hope and pray he is ok!
December 30, 2009 at 11:18 pm
That is terribly gracious of you, HBoyz.
Thanks to garlicnoseho (sp?) I set up a room at gratefulness.org if anyone would like to express their good wishes:
http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=RUSH
December 31, 2009 at 5:12 am
That candle-lighting prayer was BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for sharing that. I’ve sent it to others, as well.
December 31, 2009 at 10:23 am
Thank you Garlic and Scooter. That site’s a keeper!
December 31, 2009 at 10:39 am
Thank you Garlic and Scooter. That lovely site is useful for a variety of trying situations. Bless you both.
A heartfelt Happy, Prosperous, Positive and Peaceful 2010 for our country and all assembled here. May Rush strengthen in direct proportion to the weakening of every unAmerican Obama scheme.
December 30, 2009 at 11:25 pm
I am praying with all my might. Rush is a patriot, there is no doubt. He is an intelligent guy who knows his stuff, and a powerful influence for freedom in this country.
December 30, 2009 at 11:28 pm
Rush is, I’m convinced, a really great guy. There was a time when I wouldn’t think about listening to him. Even if I wanted to I couldn’t because of my work.
Through an odd series of events I was introduced to Rush by someone I admired and respected. I decided that I was being snooty and narrow minded by not giving him a try. I did. I’m hooked! lol
There are times when the conversation bores me as I could care less about football and some of the other topics, but when Rush is on his game talking about domestic politics it’s a learning experience.
He’s a very smart man with a big heart and great love of this country. My prayers are with him tonight.
December 30, 2009 at 11:31 pm
Boyz, thanks for putting this up. I join you in sending prayers, good wishes, and a snap of my Terrible Towel (elRushbo is a huge Steeler fan) for his speedy recovery.
According to a 700 plus post thread over in FReeperland, Limbaugh is now listed as ‘stable.’. Good news…but let’s all keep pulling for ‘the lovable fuzzball.’
December 31, 2009 at 5:21 am
Twitter was ABLAZE tonight with Rush tweets. And I have to say one other thing about Rush. He & Sarah are a lot alike. Neither of them are current politicians, but they are such a threat to the destructive left, that they cannot refrain from trying to dismiss them completely hoping nobody will pay any more attention to them.
I say, if Rush and Sarah were so “inconsequential” and/or “ignorant,” the MSM wouldn’t give two hoots about either one of them, much less give them any air time.
But all you have to do is watch one day of the state-controlled media, and you will be certain you’ll hear derogatory statements about either one or both of them.
The MSM are fools AND tools, and as Bernie Goldberg wrote, they have a “Slobbering Love Affair” with Barack Obama.
December 30, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Thank you for the update Mary!
December 30, 2009 at 11:40 pm
Hey Babes! I was listening on the radio the day he did that. That was a hoot and a half.
Love you both!
December 31, 2009 at 12:06 am
Rush knew what he was doing in calling you babes, I believe.
One of the most unintentionally funny articles ever published was five or seven years back, in the New York Times Magazine. It was written by Andrew Sullivan.
He went “underground” to a Christian Coalition dinner. No one knew who he was.
He found the folks to be witty, intelligent, warm and affectionate.
He was astounded.
But he has never drawn the lesson from his experience, that he is dreary, dull, cold and narrow minded.
I have lived in NYC and Boston. I have read (needed to read) what liberals/leftists have to say, all my life.
They are as parochial, one dimensional, closed-minded, DREARY, as anyone they criticize.
What is worse, their only argument, ever, is SHUT UP!
The Science Is Settled (and the politics also).
Why are their heroes dictators?
Do not get me wrong. Most liberals (and many leftists) are really nice folks, clever, witty, empathetic.
They just have a totalitarian, oppressive, UNIMAGINATIVE core to them, which they cannot see. They are not self-aware.
Rush has a much broader view of life than his critics can ever understand.
To them, life depends upon holding the correct pov.
To him, life depends upon the best any single human being can make of himself.
December 31, 2009 at 7:17 am
I so agree Tonawanda, speaking as a former lib raised-by-libs. I now refer to them as Puritans. I think that libs are a secular variation on the Puritan theme. Mainly because they see themselves as the Elect.
I’ve been praying for Rush too. In my recent former life, the last thing I would ever have done was to listen to Rush, but now I catch bits of his show whenever I am out at lunch time. And I really like him lots. He is SO unlike what ‘they’ say about him. Hillbuzz you are right – we need him so much right now.
December 31, 2009 at 9:59 am
THAT’s IT! PURITANS.
I could never figure out exactly what it was that turned me away from my life long love of the Democrats. They have turned into the Puritan Party and it repels me.
Thank You.
As far as Rush Limbaugh goes, I hope he’s OK. I have finally been deprogramed and now, suddenly, he makes a lot of sense. You guys are right, American needs him.
December 31, 2009 at 10:23 am
I have always felt that liberals were always the “intolerant” ones of people’s differing belief systems and values. They are the ones who don’t want to “live and let live.” Ironic indeed. I always tell that to my “low information” friend, and she still doesn’t get it.
Prayers with Rush. This nation needs him, and I know I say that from a selfish vantage point. Hillbuzz, Rush loves anyone who is open minded and not knee jerk, that’s why he quoted you guys. Great post. Happy New Year.
December 31, 2009 at 7:11 pm
“Liberal Puritanism” goes waaaay back. In “Albion’s Seed”, the author provides numerous insights into the culture of the migrants from East Anglia who settled Massachusetts and other parts of upper New England. That sense of being “The Chosen” and more literate, intelligent and enlightened than other citizens has been there for centuries and it informs NE liberalism and many of its institutions.
December 31, 2009 at 12:07 am
Thanks for this posting! I have never listened to Rush but I pray that he recovers quickly and he continues to be a thorn in the flesh of the liberal Democrats.
You Hillbuzz ‘babes’ really are the cat’s meow! I can say my admiration for you is soaring. You gained my respect during your election coverage last year but some of your recent postings have just awesome. Please keep on doing what you’re doing!!
December 31, 2009 at 12:19 am
Hang tough, Rush! We need you back on the job asap!
2010 is going to be a doozy, so no fair slacking off!
Kathryn, you take good care of him, or you’ll have US to answer to!
December 31, 2009 at 5:16 am
Isn’t Kathryn a gorgeous woman? I bet she has a heart the size of Texas. I can see the love between the two of them in pictures together.
Hillboyz, thank you so much for being you. I, like many others, found you by way of Rush’s reference to you. I’ve stayed with you and repeatedly visit often.
xxoxoxo
MsU
December 31, 2009 at 11:34 am
who is kathryn?? i am in the dark — PICTURES ?? anyone??
December 31, 2009 at 11:49 am
Kathryn is his girlfriend. I believe that she is a realtor in Palm Beach. Probably in her thirties, nice looking. Check the internet for pics.
December 31, 2009 at 11:01 pm
I seriously hope he doesn’t marry her.
It just never works out for him.
I mean, WHO could keep up with him?
December 31, 2009 at 12:25 am
You know if you keep this up, we may conservatives out of you yet!!!
A facebook friend of mine was told by the hospital that he is in stable condition, but will not give out any more information than that. I am sure that he will be fine. He just got into shape, so I am sure that will help him out.
December 31, 2009 at 12:40 am
I say this with total respect, just a conservative girl:
no one needs to be making anyone else, anything else.
There is a huge, majority populace who may disagree about a lot of things, but not about the rejection of animosity and hatred as a political tactic, the tactic of the left.
Bless anyone for their pov, as long as it is open-minded, understanding, and appreciative for the unique country we have.
December 31, 2009 at 2:23 am
I was joking. You need to lighten up.
December 31, 2009 at 6:44 am
You are right. :) I am sorry. I am taking my helium pills again.
December 31, 2009 at 12:43 am
so you are the Hillbuzz babes. Who would think that Rush also reads Hillbuzz :)
December 31, 2009 at 12:46 am
I, too, found HILLBUZZ from that day listening to Rush! You guys have no idea how much respect some of us conservatives have for you because you aren’t drinking the Kool-Aid any more! (I don’t drink it from the repubs, either.)
God please heal Rush & bring him back better than ever. You know we really need him now more than ever!
December 31, 2009 at 12:47 am
P.S. I only voted for McCain because I don’t believe in staying away like some conservatives did…but he was a hard pill to swallow.
December 31, 2009 at 6:44 pm
Ergo, Sarah!
December 31, 2009 at 12:48 am
Fear not.
He WILL be back.
Who knows, he might even call in to his own show tomorrow.
December 31, 2009 at 5:23 am
I hope so, Cpt. I’m going to be listening to EVERY talk radio show tomorrow to find out where the loyalties lie.
December 31, 2009 at 12:51 am
Over at FR the ‘main’ Rush Was Rushed to the Hospital Thread is over 1200 posts…still confirming he is in ‘Stable’ condition and will be kept over night for observation.
I had to come back over ‘here’ to post a really funny post from over ‘there.’
One of the FReepers (tongue in cheek…I am pretty sure) is floating the idea that this cardiac ‘event’ was Rush’s entre to the hospital. He will be seen scampering the halls, in a hospital gown, looking for ‘you know whose’ Birth Certificate.
Me, I want an investigation into Rahmmykins whereabouts late this after noon…
I kid, I kid (sorta).
Please…Keep the prayers and good energy going Rush’s way…
December 31, 2009 at 12:59 am
Hahahaha … I love it! Rush and his own version of the birth certificate conspiracy!!!!!!!!!
December 31, 2009 at 9:35 pm
Hey Mary Q-C! Found your hello on the other thread and am thrilled it is you! I didn’t sleep at all last night worrying that I would awake to the worst news but obviously, Rush is still with us. We would be without any leadership on the right without him.
Aren’t these lovely guys just refreshing to read? Their beautiful entry on the Bushes made me cry as did the hundreds of replies.
Love ya Mary Q-C!
January 1, 2010 at 2:34 am
Fat chance, Obama was no longer “born there”, he “was born” in Kapi’olani.
December 31, 2009 at 1:12 am
bbh said it well. It is your graciousness that continues to draw me here. We may not agree on each and every issue. I am OK with that. Your words portray virtue that is lost in many. Which is why you have trouble finding date. There are few who will measure up to your standards.
And while I don’t agree with every statement Rush Limbaugh makes, either, I join you in wishing him a speedy and full recovery.
BTW, I tweeted a bunch of quotes from this story and gave you attribution. My name on Twitter is @Opus_6
December 31, 2009 at 5:27 am
I just followed you, Opus #6.
December 31, 2009 at 1:41 pm
Thanks! I followed you back.
December 31, 2009 at 4:20 am
“The one good thing that’s come of The Golden Age of Hope and Change is that it’s proved people who don’t agree on anything, but love this country, can indeed fight the good fight on the same side.”
That’s it exactly.
I steer clear from what are wedge issues…and focus on what unites us all because in that place, we can link arms and save our Republic from this existential threat.
Once that’s done, we can go back to sparring over our differences. :)
December 31, 2009 at 4:35 am
This write-up is very generous, and touching, thank you!
(Disclaimer: I am a conservative, and El Rushbo fan!)
December 31, 2009 at 6:12 am
This is probably the best place to get updates.
ALERT: Rush was admitted to a Honolulu hospital today and is resting comfortably after suffering chest pains. Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes. He will keep you updated via RushLimbaugh.com and on Thursday’s radio program.
December 31, 2009 at 7:47 am
Dear HillBabes,
After reading this article, I have to ask: why are you still democrats?
You aren’t nearly — what was it that other poster said? “Vile, vile, vile,” was it? — enough for the democrats.
Look at the people you stand with. Are those really the friends by whom you wish to be known?
I’ll bet if you compared your opinions with Limbaugh’s actual opinions (as opposed to his opinions as reported by his enemies) you’d find many more points of agreement than you think.
December 31, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Those of us who still consider ourselves Dems, do so out of memory of the true Democratic party. What’s going on now is the true party that we once knew. It’s gonna take some time to give up on what we once knew was good.
December 31, 2009 at 8:16 am
I thank God that there are so many sane Democrats out there who love their country as much as I do and who don’t fall in with the unbelievable hatred and venom being spewed across the Commie blogs and all those “compassionate” liberals out there.
As a conservative, and as a loyal listener of Rush’s since July 2, 1988, I’m neither surprised nor shocked by the undiluted hate I’ve read over the past few hours on some websites. Still, it truly saddens me when so many people are wishing death on another human being. Apparently disagreement in the arena of political discourse justifies these pronouncements in their “minds”. It’s appalling on so many levels.
And by the way, if you libtards are going to gleefully resurrect Rush’s drug addiction, please refer to “Oxycontin”, not “Oxycotton”. It’s one thing to be hateful, but a dumb hater is, well, just hatefully dumb.
Thanks you so much, you hot babes at Hillbuzz! :)
Patrick
December 31, 2009 at 8:29 am
Excellent post! I always enjoy reading what you have to say. I don’t always agree with you but to read something written with gracious words is refreshing. I have to admit there is a huge difference between Hillary supporters and Obama supporters!
Rush is a voice of reason in these trying times…if ppl would actually take time to listen they would realize it but they (radical left) just spew their vile.
December 31, 2009 at 8:47 am

December 31, 2009 at 11:45 am
I truly believe that this is a wake-up call for Rush– He has lost weight and is doing great — sometimes we just need to learn to take care of ourselves…he will come out of this stronger and with a greater appreciation of health-care “A STRONGER FORCE TO RECON WITH” lol
Our prayers are with you Rush– I stil believe that he was born “for a time such as this”
Thank YOU “HILLBUZZ” we sure appreciate you!!!!!Keep up the good work!!
December 31, 2009 at 9:44 pm
Rush lost weight so fast; maybe it was too fast. Anyway, maybe this is good because doctors will check him over and make sure everything is OK.
December 31, 2009 at 11:49 am
get well Rush..WE NEED YOU!!!!
thanx garlicnose for the great candle site..btw are u a poster at hometalk with the same name?

“The one good thing that’s come of The Golden Age of Hope and Change is that it’s proved people who don’t agree on anything, but love this country, can indeed fight the good fight on the same side.”
That is a beautiful quote. I just shared it with a like-minded friend. Hope you don’t mind.
December 31, 2009 at 12:46 pm
Hi Boyz -
“The one good thing that’s come of The Golden Age of Hope and Change is that it’s proved people who don’t agree on anything, but love this country, can indeed fight the good fight on the same side.”
Amen!!! Blessings to you “Babes” & to Rush.
Susan
December 31, 2009 at 1:51 pm
My sincere thanks to HillBuzz for the gracious post. As another who has come over from the dark (liberal) side some years ago, I would advise you “babes” to try to listen to Rush at least the 1st 1/2 hr each day.
Rush often presents a unique and very smart view of the political scene. Guys as smart as you can gain much by taking his points further and in slightly different directions. He also is ALWAYS optimistic, and will help keep the spirits up in these trying times. Listen for a month or so, and you will be ditto heads also.
I have to laugh at my friends view of the “racist Rush” as I listen to Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell fill in on todays show. But I used to think exactly the same.
Best Wishes for the New Year!!
January 1, 2010 at 2:36 am
Too bad we don’t get transcripts for Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell.
December 31, 2009 at 3:47 pm
Ditto regarding your graciousness towards Rush. – Thank you, Hillbuzz.
Ditto that Rush turned me on to HillBuzz – Thank you, Rush.
Ditto regarding your view that we NEED him.
Ditto that both he and you Boyz are great Americans.
Ditto that I am praying for his speady recovery and that God will use him in an even more mightier and influential way.
December 31, 2009 at 4:06 pm
Good post. I do occasionally still listen to Rush, and have basically since 1991-92 or so. I’m with you fellas, he’s an important piece to the balance between the far left and far right in this country – even though Rush can stray off to the right-right on occasion.
I also agree that I don’t always agree with everything he says (I didn’t disagree with everything the Clintons did, heck I voted for ol’ Bill back in ’92 myself)…but unlike some of those on the fringes of either side, I will never wish him ill. Just like I’d never wish Obama ill, or Pelosi or Reid. Wishing to see them and their agenda defeated is on an entirely different plane than wishing them ill or dead. I’ll leave that kookishness to the fringes, like that Kos dude.
As for the “Hillbuzz Babes” comments…I’d laugh that off too. Even if he knows you guys are, well, guys, he’s just having some fun. Hopefully yous guys will remain unoffended. In all honesty, that research may have come from his underlings and he may genuinely not know.
Anyway, best wishes for a speedy recovery to Rush – and best wishes for the continued success of Hillbuzz in 2010 and beyond. We need you guys too. Keep up the great work. Hillbuzz (and GayPatriot, Sister Toldya, Anotherblackconservative and Blackinformant) are my favorite blog discoveries of 2009…not bad for a hetero-Southern-whiteboy. lol Apparently, finding like-minded friends from outside my own sphere of “likeness” has been a refreshing and very enjoyable and educational exercise this year. I recommend it to all – search out blogs by folks that aren’t like you. You’ll quickly find out that labels and hyphens are overrated (and overused) and at the end of the day, we’re all proud Americans that want what’s genuinely best for our country…well, except for the kooks that are out here among us. :)

Entries like these are among the reasons why I read this site. (That, and you’re hilarious.) You guys have given me reason to hope (no, not the hope-n-change kind of hope) that it is still possible to have civil and productive conversations with people who don’t vote as I do. Keep up the good work.

You know something, y’all should listen to Rush. I hated him for years and years and years. My husband would listen to him and I would make him change the channel because I would come into the room when Rush was saying something like, “I’m doing this show with half my brain tied behind my back just to make things fair,” and think, OMG, what an ass!!! Then one day, around the time of the election of barack, I listened for more than 3 minutes and I learned that Rush’s heart is in the right place. I do not agree with him on everything, but he is a good man and loves the USA unlike those traitorous criminals in the White House.

Unfortunately for Dem outrageous Libs, this galvanizing of like-minded supporters – of Rush (and the right) – is anathema to their brain-dead yet spiteful ideology. It certainly eclipses anything Pelosi, Reid and Obama had on the irri-table this week.
I strongly support the ” Maharushah “. To good health.

[...] Loving your enemies, false teacher style Posted on January 4, 2010 by Neil Aside from the expected bile from the far Left about Rush Limbaugh’s recent medical issues, this was an interesting contrast: False teacher Chuck Currie tried to pretend to care about Rush in his hatchet job titled Rush Limbaugh’s Release From Hospital Reminds Us To Love Our Enemies, while my favorite gay bloggers from Chicago wrote this piece where they displayed authentic concern: Rush Limbaugh, it is not your time. You have much more work to do, sir. Our thoughts and prayers for… [...]

Came here via the Eternity Road linkback.
I learned to respect Hillary’s supporters during the 2007 campaign. It’s great to see more respect going around.

I’m a Rush listener and conservative. I love what you “babes” are doing, and that is the classiest thing I’ve ever read written by Democrats about Rush.
You “Hill babes” are awesome!
