Jewish people we talked to during the 2008 campaign repeatedly told us that Jews, by and large, were “liberals before they are Jewish”. Meaning, they would vote for Dr. Utopia despite his cold shoulder to Israel, and would vote against keeping Israel safe and maintaining its pre-eminence as our #1 ally, because Jews love wearing the giant “I’m a liberal!” buttons on their coats. Dr. Utopia is the most liberal president this nation has ever seen, and most likely will ever see. And he has been nothing short of monstrous to Israel and Jews in America.
Not that they have any room to complain about him, because they voted for him in droves and now must wrestle with the cunundrum if it really is best to be “liberal first, Israel last” after all.
While, honestly, we don’t follow the celebrations of holidays other than Christmas, Halloween, Easter, and the patriotic holidays like Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, etc., we sure can remember Dr. Utopia getting all excited for Ramalamadan, and Kadingadadingdong, and the other Islamic holidays that have come and gone while he’s been in office. He went out of his way to lecture to Americans how important the holidays of those who have been actively trying to kill Americans are, and how we all need to be humbled and awestruck by the awesomeness that is women-oppressing and gay-bashing Islam.
We take a big “Hell no” to that garbage, thank you.
Islam to us is no more a valid religion than is Scientology. Both pretend to be religions. Both have sacred texts. Both are run by crazy people with their own agendas who use their followers to strike out at enemies and achieve their nefarious aims. Tom Cruise might not be strapping bombs to himself in the name of Emperor Xenu, but did anyone see Lions for Lambs? That was a sink bomb if ever there was one.
Scientology is a pyramid scheme designed to strip Hollywood’s wealthy from their money.
Islam is a global terrorist organization using the cover of religion to thrive where otherwise reasonable people would see it for what it is and not allow it to operate freely. Liberalism is the handmaiden of Islam, because without political correctness and multicultural dithering Islam would not be able to recruit, train, and direct terrorist activity in the US and Western Europe.
We think it’s disgusting the White House is gutting the annual Hannakhah party — claiming they are trying to save money.
Really?
NOW these people want to save money.
Almost every Wednesday the current First Lady has a big music party where people like Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, and all sorts of rappers and hippity hoppers come to the White House to perform for her, where she dresses up in another tragic “outfit” People magazine’s then told to call “the most beautiful thing any of us have ever seen”. How much do those parties cost?
How much did it cost the current First Lady to fly to Copenhagen with Oprah Winfrey to embarrass themselves and ruin Chicago’s shot of making even the last round of Olympics’ city selection? That was in the millions, not counting Dr. Utopia’s SEPARATE flight over there.
But, these fools can’t hold a normal Hannakhah event?
Why not eliminate the Muslim celebrations in the White House, at least for the duration in which Muslims are still trying to kill Americans. Take the savings from canceling those two-minute-hates and use that money to host a normal Hannakhah fete, like every year. Hell, if the most spendthrift administration in history has suddenly decided to coupon clip, just ask all the guests to make it a potluck. Ask Jewish businesses to donate food, drink, decorations, and entertainment for the night. We’re sure they would be happy to comply.
We’re also positive Jews will excuse this latest snub away, as they’ve excused all of this president’s slights against Israel already.
“But, he is so liberal. He must be wonderful. We love being liberals so we love him,” the Jews keep saying.
They won’t wake up until Dr. Utopia’s out of office, and the next president restores things to how they used to be. At which point, Jewish voters will gripe and moan about how terrible Dr. Utopia really was and how piss-poor he treated them.
For the moment, though, they’re still too happy being liberals before Jews to care about Hannakhah or anything else.
******
PS: Some of you need to work on your reading comprehension before you send us hate mail. Read the first sentence in the piece above, PC police. The Jewish people we know and frequently spoke to during the 2008 campaign are the ones who gave us the “Jews are liberal before they are Jewish” line. We got a nasty email from someone with poor reading skills who went on about how we “can’t say all Jews feel this”. We didn’t. We’re talking about the Jews we know and speak to and what they told us.
We are not a scientific survey of the opinons of everyone on the planet. We are a bunch of gay guys in Boystown who tell it like we see it here in Chicago, and talk anecdotally about what we observe, hear, and know in our own lives. If you don’t agree with what we say, that’s great. Tell us how you think we are wrong. But be able to read a few paragraphs first and grasp their meaning — and don’t namecall. Go over to Daily Kos for that garbage, because we won’t tolerate it. And once you do it, don’t complain that you were banned. It’s as simple as that.
The danger of the PC police is that they are very quick to jump on anything that’s said, and very quick to whip out a big stick that says “You can’t generalize!” all over it. They seem to believe that if you can find one Jewish person who is not liberal, then you should never be able to use the “Jews are liberals first before they are Jewish” line. That’s totally false. We got that line from Jews themselves who see this idiocy being committed by Jews who voted against their own best interests to cast ballots for Dr. Utopia. We see this here in Boystown, with the LGBTQ community, of which we are a part and have more basis for anecdotal conversation. Gays vote against their own best interests and pull the default Dem lever all the time, because they would rather be called Liberals than vote anything but Democrat…no matter who is running or what their policies are.
It’s true.
Being PC police and pretending it’s not is dangerous.
It’s time this poltically correct crap gets kicked to the curve. We won’t tolerate it around here. If you want to pull that stuff, Daily Kos would be happy to have you. Ft. Hood happened because of the PC police. How much longer will America as a whole tolerate this “You can’t say that!” garbage?
November 19, 2009 at 9:27 pm
I guess ‘them jews’ won’t be invited with the fine Rev. Wright for the kwanza celebration?
November 19, 2009 at 9:31 pm
The way they’ll explain it away is to say “That’s not really how he feels about us.”
I’ve seen and heard so many libs say things like, “Sure Obama SAYS he doesn’t support gay marriage, but I’m sure he secretly supports it. He’s just can’t say so because he’s being political.”
To which I reply, “Why is he still being political? He’s BEEN ELECTED. He can start taking care of all those promises he’s made to all those different groups with a stroke of his magical Executive Order Pen.”
They just can’t admit to theselves that they were duped by a corrupt liar.
November 19, 2009 at 10:40 pm
Spot on!!!
November 19, 2009 at 11:14 pm
Don’t kid yourself. They all knew full well he was a liar. They all know full what the shit he is pulling. They can’t admit it because more than anything else, even in the deepest, darkest reaches of their souls, Liberals will refuse to admit that they were WRONG. Its’ anathema to them. Admitting that they were wrong about something so fundamental to their own haughty sense of self worth would absolutely eat away at the little mental stability that they have left. It would be akin to eating their children and using their aged parents for fire kindling. Which they probably will end up doing under Obama anyway.
November 20, 2009 at 6:35 pm
I so hate admitting that I’m wrong as a Liberal that I voted for McCain and didn’t support Obama. See how right I was? ;)
November 19, 2009 at 9:40 pm
Ya know, there are those who really believe BO is the ultimate Manchurian candidate, planted by the Jidadists to bring America down. Chit like this makes it seem less and less far fetched.
November 19, 2009 at 11:16 pm
Isn’t he?
November 20, 2009 at 12:16 pm
I was actually thinking about just that last night. There is so much unknown about Teh One and he did have a rich Arab backer who helped him get into Columbia U. Based on O’s actions in office thus far, I think the “Manchurian Candidate” idea is not far off base at all.
November 19, 2009 at 10:09 pm
Just an FYI…back when Gov. Palin was running for Veep; and Greta Van Sustern interviwed her, does anyone else remember Palin’s PROFOUND admiration and respect for the state of Israel, including her having an Israeli flag up on the wall in her office?
Hmmm…something tells me that dradls will spin again in a Palin Administration.
November 20, 2009 at 1:04 pm
Yep, she had the flag of Israel on her wall in her office.
November 19, 2009 at 10:11 pm
You just made me spit my enchilada all over my MAC, I’ll have you know.
The PUMAsphere is, in fact, on fire tonight! With one hilarious post after another….

Is that Andrea Mitchell?!!
She looks like cr@p. Obviously she must be having a bad day, tee hee.
November 19, 2009 at 11:18 pm
No. Its Trigger. Can’t you tell by the bridle and the saddle?

Oh, my, please don’t insult Trigger! LOL!

Just point her towards the glue factory and shove!
November 20, 2009 at 12:20 pm
I have horses. Every one of them is prettier than Andrea Mitchell. Smarter too.
November 20, 2009 at 6:31 am
Poor Andrea.
As one of the posters at bloghopenchangery said…. She forgot her curling iron AND her Thorazine.

November 20, 2009 at 12:28 pm
Honestly, it’s her mean face…. not that she’s ‘ugly’… just she’s exuding this nasty
hate.
Plus her hair looks like mine if I sleep in it wet after bleaching it with 40V peroxide.
November 20, 2009 at 1:30 pm
and she must put that lipstick on with a spray paint difuser. In the hideous category though she is one notch above Pelosi.
November 19, 2009 at 10:29 pm
I just do not get why some folks think that our enemies think way that they do. “If we show our enemies respect they will not hate us,” is what some of Obama’s supporters think. What they do not understand is they “our enemies” do not see it that way.
I am an african american woman who loves my country. I also happen to be christian. And what these terrorist want is to establish their religion in the U.S.A. as the only one. This means that they want to take Jesus Christ from me. They want to take Judaism away from Jewish people too. They want to take away the mormon faith from Mitt Romney and this angers me. Our beliefs guide us in this world. We rely on our faith in good times and bad-and these people want to steal this from us. I cannot think of a greater threat against us than this.
And now we have a POTUS who finds kinship with people who are muslims. This means that he cannot seperate peaceful muslims from the nutjobs wanting to destroy us. How do I know this? Look at his decision to try KSM in a civilian court instead of a military one. What I conclude is that Obama does not respect people of faiths other than Islam. So Jews do not count. Hannakhah does not count. And here is another sad day in the Obama administation. This man does not get it! He does not understand how offensive this is. But when you think about it-Obama offending American sensibilities is per for the course.
Shame on them.
November 19, 2009 at 10:43 pm
DebB – Absolutely on point!
November 19, 2009 at 10:45 pm
Bravo!
November 20, 2009 at 9:09 am
We’re singing in the same choir, DebB, and from the same sheets of music.
I am quite happy to acknowledge and respect Muslims who don’t want to kill me. I too am a Christian. Yet you won’t find me respecting any other so-called Christian who wants to cut me.
So why can’t Obama make that distinction when it comes to Muslims?
By their fruit, you shall know them! (Lots of delicious gay comments I could make here, but I am trying to be serious.)
November 20, 2009 at 11:21 am
Intense indoctrination at an Indonesian madrassa circa age seven apparently did the trick.
November 19, 2009 at 10:46 pm
Well said. Thank you.
November 19, 2009 at 11:40 pm
Hillbuzz, re your post script – I take your point, but you also say “tell us why you think we are wrong”. You are not wrong in saying that being PC can be dangerous, it certainly can. However there are some absolutely brilliant PUMA blogs where quite a few of the contributors are Jews, who think as you do and I know some of those people also post on this site.
November 20, 2009 at 12:27 am
are you missing the point? Amongst the people I have know over the years was a really, really good man who is Jewish. I really do like Eric. However, he is liberal first. I have been out of contact for quite a long time so I have no idea how he voted, if he did vote.
The point that is being made is that there are Jews in the USA who put their liberalism ahead of their own religion. It could be that like many Christians they have turned away from God in order to embrace their liberal ideas. The fact is that like so many others they did a very shallow assessment of the candidates, and they refused to see that this particular Presidential candidate was duplicitous.
Personally, I have no doubt that there are many other Jews who felt differently than those who refused to see Obama in any other light at the time of the elections.
I have been known to comment about the middle-aged white women who had stars in their eyes as they talked about Obama. I saw at least 4 of these during my trip in the USA. In each case these women simply refused to accept that their original assessment could be wrong as they continued with the mantra: “he has to clean up the mess…” blah, blah, blah. They were also taken in by the crap about his intelligence, and no doubt believe that he was a university professor when he was never any such thing. None of them even addressed the fact that he had no viable record as an administrator, or even a record regarding international affairs…. they just went along with the BS that had been spewing forth in the LSM. We got the same kind of crap over here.
November 20, 2009 at 12:58 am
Hello Aussie, we seem to have a little Antipodean enclave here – I am from across the ditch.
No, I’m not missing the point – I understand what Hillbuzz was saying, but before it was taken down I also saw the post that I believe they were referring to in their post script and it was that I was referencing.
I enjoy your posts, and totally agree with your final paragraph – and we’re still getting the starry eyed rubbish in NZ too.
November 20, 2009 at 10:00 am
By the way aussie – when I read about the middle aged white women obots you met – I wondered if you met my across the street neighbor who in every way exemplifies what you described. She has this godawful obot bumper sticker that shows a shovel and says something like ‘a lot done but more to do.’ Every glimpse of it makes me roll my eyes.
On a more fun note, we recently had a visit from my our australian cousins who are doing a bit of US walkabout. Hope we can return the visit one day, hopefully as tourists, not refugees.
November 20, 2009 at 12:12 am
The most puzzling question that no one can seem to answer, not even Jews themselves, “why are Jews liberal?” I don’t understand it, when historically, the liberal movement is not only dismissive, but also anti-semetic towards the Jewish population and to Israel.
Political Correctness denies Freedom.
This administration is like a game of chess, where Obama is the King piece. The only power the King has is the stature we give it, but it’s movements are as limiting as the pawns. The King provides a distraction from the movement of all of the other pieces who have more potential and are more dangerous. We checkmate the King and we stop the movement, but in all actuality we aren’t fighting Obama at the moment, but rather his: Pawns (ACORN, SEIU members, etc.), Knights (Dunn, NEA, Van Jones, Liberal media, etc.), Bishops (Liberal movements and stereotyping, senators, congressmen, Geithner, etc.), Rooks (The Fed, Judicial system, Education indoctrination, Czars, etc.) and Queen Rahm Emanuel.
November 20, 2009 at 9:19 am
Former Champaign County GOP Vice Chair is a Jewess. (For those outside Illinois, Champaign County is about two hours south of Chicago, in East Central Illinois, and is home to the University of Illinois.)
Linda Bauer is a strong woman, conservative on most issues. And she’s treated this gay boy with nothing but kindness. Linda must be the exception to the rule.
As an aside, for most Champaign GOP types, being gay is non-issue. I take more grief at church for being a Republican. For real!
November 20, 2009 at 3:23 pm
Yes, I know the feeling. You know things have changed when you get more grief for being a Republican than for being gay!
November 20, 2009 at 10:09 am
Holly, that’s a brilliant and apt metaphor. And lol @ the Queen!
November 20, 2009 at 11:16 am
Brilliant, Holly!
Now, how can we shove the board off the table?
November 20, 2009 at 3:13 pm
I think the first step involves us to stop theorizing and start actualizing: we need to mobolize, we need to converse, go out into our communities and lead or volunteer and equip people with the knowledge and ability to be self-sustaining. We need to rebuild the image of the individual because when the individual feels empowered, the collective ideology will collapse. We destroy their ideology by demonstrating the success of our own.
They will try to knock our pieces off by force, but we will dismantle their strategy piece by piece.
November 20, 2009 at 6:42 pm
Holly, you are just at the ripe time to see the 4 part series done by the BBC called “The Century of the Self.” This has given me more insight into these political times than anything else.
November 20, 2009 at 12:12 am
Many of my Jewish friends are quite contrite at this point in time in having given Obama the benefit of the doubt and pulling the Democratic lever. The have watched him bow and scrape to every tin monkey in Asia while giving the cold shoulder to one of our staunchest allies. I do not believe that they will make the same mistake again. However there are a few Jewish uber liberals left suffering from immense guilt over God knows what who are willing to go down on the Titanic with President Zero. God rest their souls.
November 20, 2009 at 6:43 am
Just saw this post.
The image of the Titanic is in all of our consciousnesses now.
How sad to see our (former?) allies going to their watery graves. Not just Jews. But Women and Gays as well.
I am bereft that some of those folks are my closest friends.
November 20, 2009 at 12:58 am
You’re on mark, but Dr. Al-Utopia is going way out on a political limb by following the Axelrod/Emanuel line on American Jewish sentiment. Yes, American Jews are primarily liberal based on a domestic history of oppression by WASP majorities and a tradition of charity. Israel is the trump card and a tremendous majority of Jewish support has always come to their aid when the missiles fly and the homeland is jeopardy. Our great leader’s approval rating in the homeland is running around 4%. The Hannukah party is a symbol but his pro-Islam foreign policy will be his undoing when the 3rd intifada is launched or Hezbullah let’s some of it’s 40,000 missiles fly. American presidents from Nixon to Clinton have not waivered when Israeli survival is threatened and if that day comes and Dr. Al-Utopia follows his pro-muslim policies, prepare for the great Jewish political slap in the face.
November 20, 2009 at 6:39 am
I suspect this is correct. Jews are “Liberal” for the same reason that other minorities are. Gays. Women…. all in the same boat. The anti-WASP boat.
But, in fact, that boat is currently sinking with Dr. Utopia at the helm. And lots of us are waking up to the fact that we are going down with the proverbial ship.
PUMAs were the first to see it…. in 2008. We tried to warn them.
I suspect many others will be waking up to the nightmare as we head toward 2010.
It is too late to bail water in the Dem party at this point! Rearranging the deck chairs won’t help.
All that is left is for us to hold hands and jump ship….. and hope for a real Progressive NEXT time around.
November 20, 2009 at 10:50 am
If their homeland is threatened and Zero waivers, you can bet the moussad will take him down.
November 20, 2009 at 6:30 am
I alienated a lot of my own Jewish friends during the election because of their “blind allegiance”. I refused to follow. They failed to do their homework. They did not know about “The ONE” Would not listen about “The ONE” Could not read about the “The ONE” because the MSM would not write anything negative. Mr Transparency hid all his college, state senate, and medical records. It was a losing battle. To this day these divisions stand.
November 20, 2009 at 7:13 am
SYD, great post!
A clear view of that can be The Revrund Jesse Jackson criticizing a Black Congressman’s vote AGAINST Health Care Reform…”You can’t be a Black man and vote against Health Care…”
Wow. You can’t go off the liberal Plantation any more as a black than the Liberal Jew mindset will let you out of the ghetto or liberal women will wave a coat hanger in your face…its all about keeping “Group Think” going so no one EVEH questions the idiocy of what the Liberals are espousing.
November 20, 2009 at 10:53 am
Jackson has no mojo left. He is a tired old ‘black’ bigot has been who has been usurped. Gone the way of the DoDo.
November 20, 2009 at 6:48 pm
Could we please stop ranking on Liberals here. Most real liberals are not supporters of Obama. What they are is Obama Democrats of Obamabots, if you must.
Real Liberals like Jon Conyers are starting to admit the falsehood that is Obama. While most of the others never jumped on the Obama train to begin with. Arguably, Sen. Russ Feingold who is one the few last big Liberals left had only tepid support for Obama and still does.
November 20, 2009 at 8:10 am
I think you’re forgetting that many wealthy, educated Jews have always been liberals…before Nazis, before Israel was a state. There’s a reason different relationship between relgion/people/Israel that only Jews have. It’s hard to explain unless you are Jewish. This isn’t about ‘groupthink’ or remaining entrenched in a ghetto.
There were many cultural, religion hating Jews that helped Socialism get it’s legs in Russia, remember?
Jews go with liberal causes because they’ve been the underdog for a thousand years. They’ve been chased out, enslaved, murdered or oppressed for most of their history. Even Hanukkah involves a temple’s destruction and revolt against the Syrian-Greeks.
They tend to feel that it’s more important to defend any minority than to stand up for themselves. It’s also, in my opinion, a built-in defense…they’re less likely to be gassed by the millions if they hide wealth and education behind what many of them view as charitable, just causes.
Which is why many of them speak out against Israel defending the Palestinians.
I AM Jewish. My family fled the pogroms in the Soviet Union and moved to Chicago, America in 1918. Watch Fiddler on the Roof if you need more details, because it paints a fairly accurate picture minus the singing and dancing. My dad is even a Tevye look alike.
I had to leave a local synagogue because I couldn’t stand to see the Obama pins on the Rabbi’s jacket during services. I actually heard her say that Obama’s nomination finally makes up for slavery, and she tied it into a discussion about the Exodus. Are you kidding?
In any case, I don’t have anything much to add to this conversation, except maybe that little bit of background. There is no other religion in the world that has been treated this way throughout history. Many, many Jews hate their religion and Israel but still define themselves as Jewish. The tangled definitions of what a Jew IS are the problem. The feelings of guilt, as though our ancestors actions are to blame for the trials of the Jewish people – these are to blame. Many American Jews spend their lives as liberals to make up for perceived wrongs in the hopes that by doing so they can avoid another Holocaust (which, incidentally was only the largest and most effective Jew killing spree in history – people have hated Jews – Jews have hated Jewishness – since the beginning of time).
And, perhaps, after all the years of persecution, they need a little counseling. I think much of the Jewish American psyche is broken beyond repair. Logic fails many of them.
I agree with Hillbuzz. Many Jews will deserve to see what will inevitably happen in Israel as a result of their support for Obama. It pains me to say it, but it’s true. Israel holds no illusions about Obama, that’s for sure. There are many conservative Jews, however. They simply aren’t as outspoken, and many choose to remain in their own communities. Another survival instinct, I’m afraid. Hunkering down and waiting out the storm is a pretty common Jewish defense.
November 20, 2009 at 8:40 am
The “Obama makes up for slavery” or “Obama was sent by God and his reign is holy” is being preached in many churches also. It’s spooky when there are those who will say NOTHING negative about him because they believe he’s on a mission from God. (Sorry Blues Brothers).
November 20, 2009 at 10:57 am
……or is is……SATAN?

November 20, 2009 at 10:29 am
CKHammer – your post is amazing. You’ve given me some insight into, for lack of a better phrase right now (because I really hate the word ‘identity’ anymore) – Jewish identity that I have never had before even though I’ve known Jewish people, both liberal and conservative, ones who have lived in Israel and ones who never seem to think of Israel, all my life. Thank you for that.
Your post also made me very sad that every new generation would have forced upon them these feelings of guilt for their ancestors, when actually their ancestors were just as wrongfully persecuted as the present generation who is just as innocent. I love how Israel defends itself staunchly and bravely, against such perfidy and villainy, so many disgusting lies and such crazy evil bloodlust (referring to the way Hamas raises its children and lays it on them to be killed or kill – so f***ing sick).
Listen, we all have to reject that anyone is right to harm us, to oppress us, to kill us. All of us, women, gays, jews, blacks, christians, white redneck guys, all of us. Those who seek to destroy and exploit are always coming up with some reason why it’s really okay this time to do evil to others. It’s never okay.
America’s principles are sound – freedom of religion, and all beings created equal in the eyes of the creator. There is always diversity in appearance, situation, orientation and ability, but the creator loves and values us all equally. To honor our creator, we cannot support lies about how it is somehow okay this time to betray, desert or harm our fellow souls. But it is ALWAYS okay to defend ourselves and others from those who seek to harm us.
Whatever is going on with the ‘new dems’ they have definitely become ignorant of principles and have lost their way.
Can’t wait to see the back of them.
November 20, 2009 at 6:54 pm
CKHammer — thanks for sharing all this. So what you are saying seems to suggest that Jews were actually persecuted in the Soviet Union, So of course Jewishness isn’t a socialist by nature. Am I getting this right? Also, after reading “Doctor Zhivago” I did not get the impression that they were very much liked in the SU although they were tolerated.
November 20, 2009 at 8:25 am
Look who Obama hangs with: Farrakan (sp?), Rev. Wright, the LA Times also had a video of an event Obama attended that was anti-semetic. The clues were there and we know several Jewish people who voted for Obama. It’s A Shame they could not see this! Wake up people!
November 20, 2009 at 8:36 am
I also think it should be pointed out that these Jews are no different than middle-aged white people that felt they owed it to slavery to vote for a black man who didn’t really represent anything they wanted. Or gays/lesbians that voted party line because they mistakenly think Dems have their back. Or even pro-choice feminists that might be conservative in other arenas making a vote based on abortion, as if it weren’t already decided. All of the above are idiots…but the Jews aren’t just betraying America, they’ve betrayed Israel as well.
November 20, 2009 at 12:28 pm
I have Jewish relatives…and we dare not ever discuss politics.
What I cannot wrap my mind around is Rahm Emmanuel (his nutty Doctor brother as well); Axelrod; Sunstein; Reich…are they all self loathing? At any point do they look at the historical significance of *their* position and their total and complete sell out of their heritage at the Altar of Hope and Change?
I understand your post of ‘liberal first’ but, couldn’t one of them (the insiders) just have said (to whoever plans these things) ‘maybe breaking with tradition on this whole Hannukah thing is a bad idea.’
I find ‘this’ to be one more piece of the puzzle as to who Dear Leader really is. Doesn’t want to send troops to Afghanistan (killing Muslim brothers?); doesn’t want (as C-i-C) to sign a military tribunal death warrant for KSM (again, the brotherhood thing); behaves more than ‘oddly’ immediately after the Ft. Hood shooting (yep…a Muslim bro again); and now…and simple, historically celebrated Hannukah is on the chopping block? While he ’surrounds’ himself with Jewish advisors…
I just don’t get it.
November 20, 2009 at 10:17 am
This Jewish woman tried to warn all her friends, relatives, associates that Obama was anti-white, anti-American, anti-semitic (with little success). It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to connect the dots from Rev. Wright, Father Pfleger, Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakhan, Rashid Khalidi, and others to see what Obama is all about. My Jewish brethren are still of the mind-set that african americans are a “sister-minority” to them who have been treated badly throughout their history. Many are still bleeding hearts where african americans are concerned. Since Jews have always been persecuted, they naturally empathize with others who are persecuted. Scapegoats are necessary in organizing the masses and Jews seem to be an easy target. If Obama gets rids of Hanukkah, what is next? First they came for Hanukkah, then Easter, then Fourth of July. What remains? Kwanza, Eid, Ramadan. He may leave Christmas in there just to make it seem he is not anti-Christian. Unfortunately, the sad fact is that I do not believe any of this will get liberal Jews to vote against a democrat now or ever.

I’ve got to ask, what *would* it take? What would it take for these people to stand up for themselves proudly and reject the suicidal mindf**k that’s smothering their survival instincts?
Because if they won’t fight for themselves, then they are also consigning their children to death as well.

Okay, sorry – getting a bit overwrought – I’m overstating the situation in America, but perhaps not for Israel.

Rumors were flying in 2008 that Obama was anti-Israel. Then you had Joe Biden go to nursing homes in Florida with his “honest” face telling seniors that Obama is just as strong a supporter of Israel as he is. They see Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod in the White House and so many have stated, Well that proves he is not anit-semitic. It proves nothing. A wise person once told me: “Trust only movement.” I take that to mean, don’t listen to words, see what people DO. Perries, you ask what will it take for them to wake up? That is a good question which I will give thought to.

…concentration camps in Iowa perhaps?

Great Post and good points. One other point most liberal and Democrat groups seem to overlook: The KKK was comprised of Democrats. They spent years oppressing and committing violent acts against Republicans, blacks, gays, Jews and Catholics.
Sitting Democratic senator Robert Byrd was a member of the KKK and was raised to the position of “Exalted Cyclops.” Check it out on Wikipedia. I can’t make this crap up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Byrd
So why do so many minority groups continue to vote on party lines when the party they are siding with has a long history of oppressing, and even killing, them?

Why so battered women remain with their battering husbands?

American Jews are, politically speaking, the dumbest people on the face of this planet.
There’s not much hope for them.

I guess this would be a good topic for my first post after reading this great blog for a few weeks (linked from LGF, which is getting a bit boring lately). Anyway, this Libertarian Jew was in no danger of voting Dem, and as an ex-Dem, never will, but I digress. I remember, in 1996, after moving back to S.F., how all the good late 20-something Jewish professionals I met were so excited about “peace” with PLO and couldn’t stand my cynicism on the whole thing. A good friend of mine finally came out of the closet a few years ago and admitted he’d been duped by the whole charade. While he’s mostly a down-the-line moderate liberal, he actively campaigned for McCain because, having been fooled once, he knew what Obama was all about. However, he had a hard time of it with his still-tied-to-the-Liberal/Democrat-plantation Jewish friends. In fact, they’re a lot like my extended family: I have plenty of moderately-wealthy uncles/cousins, etc., a generation up the ladder but wow, if it ain’t Dem, it’s evil. It’s pathological for sure. BTW, any chance CKHammer is Charles Krauthammer? That’d be cool. I’m writing him in for Pres in 2012. Seriously. At least I’ll have a clean conscience. (Ironically, he’d be our 2nd disabled Pres.)

@ 13: Hanukkah involves a temple’s destruction and revolt against the Syrian-Greeks.
Yup. It’s all about refusing to give up distinctive moral beliefs and religious practices that clash with values imposed by a tyrant government. Why, I wonder, would the White House think that that heroic resistance wasn’t worth much effort to honor?

someone needs to start keeping records of how many musical events they’re holding at the White House and the expenses.
Add to that Obama’s golf games and the times he and Michelle fly overseas (or anyhwhere else) in separate planes.

And they are trying to say Sarah Palin is like Eva Paron, I think they got their females mixed up…it is Michelle Obama…

I reread my post and I’m amazed anyone could make sense of it with all of the typos and grammar errors. That’s what I get for thinking faster than I can type. I am not Charles Krauthammer but I’ll pencil him in, too. Seriously, I would. I just have a long German name that I don’t like to paste all over the web. I’m also a Libertarian (and a Jewess!) and I have a heck of a time picking decent candidates to support. I don’t even talk politics with my family because they all hate me. I’m proof that not all non-Dems are inbred rednecks thumping Bibles, praying for Jesus and wishing all homosexuals to hell. They really rely on those stereotypes to feel better about voting like complete idiots and electing the same stupid people over and over again.

The way global warming is panning out, “those” homosexuals are going to wish they were in Hell (as will the rest of us).

So I hope no one gets offended by this … but I instantly thought of the show “South Park” when I read this:

My take on Jews and liberalism is somewhat different from earlier posts. American Jews are primarily urban and hence carry the typical biases one sees in the liberal northeast, especially in New York. Historically Jews immigrating to America stayed in cities. A few might have journeyed to the hinterlands, but most were understandably content to stay in areas where the density of Jews in the population achieved critical mass for supporting a Jewish sub-culture.
As a result, most Jews I know feel uncomfortable in “fly-over” country, or what is typically referred to as Jacksonian America. They typically feel threatened by Protestant fundamentalism and the ignorance of Jews by people in rural areas. Their attitudes are not so different from most others in the northeast, except that theirs is more aligned with their ethnicity. Some of you might remember the great comedy movie “My Cousin Vinnie”. While this story focused on the culture clash between New York Italians and good ole boys from Alabama, the story captures the essence of the discomfort Jews feel for the South.
For this reason, my guess is that Sarah Palin, a died-in-the-wool Jacksonian, will have trouble attracting Jews should she decides to run for President.

I was raised in a Christian home and am a Christian. I heard the stories of ancient Jewish history just about all my life. However, recently I have had the opportunity to really study the covenants that God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. History shows that God’s people, the Jewish nation, have over and over again turned their back on God even with God’s covenant never being removed. As a Christian, I believe that covenant has been accomplished, but it is not accepted by the majority of the Jewish people. However, that does not mean that God has removed His hand from them. That will never happen.
God has allowed the Jewish people to go through tremendous struggles. Yet, the people have never been destroyed. They are still “God’s people”. I was amazed at how many Jewish people could still name from which tribe they came. I worked in the legal field a very long time. I was amazed how many attorneys could track their heritage to the Levites.
I think that much of their history brings them to where they are today. They have history of ignoring the obvious to their own peril. It goes back to Abraham.
I love the Jewish people. I feel a part of them as a Christian and will support them and Israel without reservation. I believe that God expects that from me.

Love the post!
As an Anglo Jew living in Israel I’d just like to mention that amongst my friends here who are mainly Jews (snark!), they couldn’t care less what BO says, its more what he does and what his advisors get him to do that worry them.
Canceling the party will no doubt be news tomorrow here, and then Jews throughout the World will see the snub as the word spreads.
Currently we’re a bit too busy getting shelled down in Sderot to actually give an answer to Hillary and Obama asking us to give up more land. Hey, sort out the illegal immigrants crossing your borders before discussing ours with us!!
