While you are at it, let’s do some research into the Iowa Caucus…so we can all become experts on it by 2012. The first step to ensuring the Caucus will be fair and untampered by the White House and DNC is to become as knowledgeable as possible about it…and after that, the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries.
After that, it’s still up for grabs as to which states will come next, but if we know enough about the first three nominating contests, we can come up with plans to make sure Dr. Utopia, ACORN, the SEIU, and DNC don’t game the process and select the Republican candidate they most want to run against (Romney, Huckabee, Crist, Pawlenty, or Hunstman). If you want to see Sarah Palin become the GOP 2012 nominee, you have to start working today to make sure the Democrats don’t do to her what they did to Hillary Clinton in Iowa.
Trust us on this.

Has anyone else been thinking about the scene at the end of the Lord of the Rings where the Hobbits stand before King Aragon, start to bow, and he steps forward and says, “No my friends, you bow to NO ONE.” With that, the entire assemblage in the palace of the White City bows down before the Hobbits — for these were the people who saved their world, and they are eternally grateful for their heroism and contributions.
It’s, in our opinion, one of the best scenes in any movie we have ever seen. We tear up thinking about it.
It’s also — quite frankly — what should happen when presidents like Dr. Utopia travel abroad and start to bow, scrape, prostrate themselves, grovel, or “assume the position” in any other way: all things Dr. Utopia seems eager to do on his humiliate and degrade America world tour.
Without the United States, there would be no Japan. America rebuilt the Japanese economy. America wrote Japan’s constitution and established a successful democracy there.
The Emperor of Japan should drop to his knees before any American president, because if not for Harry Truman, there would be no Emperor of Japan (and no Emperor left alive on Earth, actually). Truman had the power to strip the Emperor’s throne from him, but General MacArthur argued the Emperor should remain on the Chrysanthamum throne as a gesture of continuity and cultural legacy for Japan as it formed its post-war government. If not for the American president, Japan’s Emperor would have gone the way of China’s.
There is not a single nation on Earth that does not owe the United States something. The American president should be received as a symbol of the American people, treated with all the gratitude owed to the brave men and women who gave their lives to fight for the freedom of others and the spread of democracy globally.
The current president not only embarrasses himself and shames the American people by raising his rump high into the air to bow to Emperors in Japan and the likes of the Saudi King — but he does what even Hobbits were told not to do.
Hobbits bow to no one.
So why do presidents scrape and grovel and prostrate themselves?
Dr. Utopia needs to realize he’s not at Man’s Country in Andersonville anymore. He’s on the world stage. Time to get off his knees and stop putting that rump in the air.

When will it stop? Obama bows again in China to President Hu Jintao
November 18, 2009 at 10:32 am
His other nickname (aside from Dr. Utopia) should be O-BOW-ma.
November 18, 2009 at 10:44 am
Kristen, that nickname made me think of Obow-chicka-bow-bowma?

Pink slips?

I finished Going Rogue tonight. Absolutely captivating. I lost a little bit of interest toward the final 1/3rd of the book with the McCain Campaign, oddly enough.
While it provided some insight into the campaign from her perspective, I was so riveted by the opening 2/3rds — her life, her family, Alaska, her ascension into politics — that the McCain bits (which have been so brutalized into my head over the past year) were a mite draining for me as a blog-soaking politico.
What I will say, though:
- It is NOT the bloodsport “take on the McCain campaign!” revenge-Bible the MSM has been spinning.
- Palin only ever speaks glowingly about John (and Cindy) McCain.
- Palin speaks very highly of her “B Team”: the staffers as a part of her VP entourage. Never ill. The criticms are almost exclusively of Schmidt and Wallace, with the nebulous “headquarters” also referenced often.
- You read about the frustration her own “B Team” had with McCain “headquarters” themselves.
- Palin also speaks highly of individuals such as Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Geraldine Ferraro, and Joe Lieberman.
There certainly are criticisms of the MSM — and rightly so. There are of the Senior McCain aides. But what sucked me in were her life stories of growing up in Alaska, her family, her taking on the political establishment in Alaska — the majority of the book the MSM just ain’t covering.
And no, Levi Johnston is never mentioned by name in the book. Not once. There was one throwaway sentence about “Bristol’s former boyfriend” and that’s it. I wish the recent interviews would really stop feeding it.
Either way, I heartily recommend it, and I’m certainly bringing the book home for Thanksgiving and FORCING my mom to read it. ;)
November 18, 2009 at 10:48 am
Can’t wait to get the book today! Here’s a funny one: Another libtard reviews Sarah’s book WITHOUT READING IT.
Funny stuff…
http://iowntheworld.com/blog/?p=10972
November 18, 2009 at 6:30 pm
Hmm, can I respectfully interject to say that for people like me (and Sarah Palin) “libtard” is offensive. We both have kiddos with Down syndrome who are “mentally retarded”…or, more PC, developmentally delayed. Associating their limitations with the nutjobs who refuse to let thier own minds embrace logic and reason is most disheartening. This word can be found just about everywhere, so nothing against you Tamara. I guess I just had 3 minutes to type a reply ;)
November 18, 2009 at 11:05 pm
And besides that, our kids with DS are a LOT smarter than the libs are…..
November 18, 2009 at 1:43 am
Also, courtesy of Michelle Malkin, something I mentioned right here on HB Monday night:
The more offensive Newsweek photo of Sarah Palin

November 18, 2009 at 11:56 am
Must reading about this issue and the dangerous message in the Newsweek headline over at Deadenders blog.
“The Sarah Palin cover of this weeks Newsweek is getting lots and lots of coverage on the news regarding whether the photo is appropriate or not. I don’t give a rats ass about the photo. THE PROBLEM IS THE TEXT. Not one person on the news including women seem to have a problem with Newsweeks JayZ style headline.
HOW DO YOU SOLVE A PROBLEM LIKE SARAH?…..
To me that cover is inciting violence against Gov. Palin and should be considered a threat to her life.”
November 18, 2009 at 1:50 am
I believe that it has been established that Obama’s maternal grandparents paid for him to attend prep school in Hawaii. But, I am uncertain as to how Obama was able to attend Harvard and Columbia. Did our great nation provide the funds for his education? If so, why doesn’t he express gratitude and graciousness for the opportunities from which he has benefitted and us taxpayers have provided?
November 18, 2009 at 5:43 am
This is a matter of much speculation. If you were keeping track during the campaign, Obama NEVER released any of his records from Columbia or Harvard. There are only two reasons for this… either:
1) He did very poorly, which would shatter his “intellectual” mantle
- OR / AND -
2) He was the benefactor of affirmative action
I believe he’s the first president in modern history for whom we are clueless in regards to his college records.
November 18, 2009 at 10:30 am
Or he was admitted as a foreign student!
November 18, 2009 at 11:59 am
June, it has been stated many times in the past year that they Saudis financed Obama’s East Coast education.
I firmly believe he cannot show his college transcript and records because they have “foreign exchange student” stamped all over them.
Unlike other documents they feel free to falsify, the colleges (Columbia in NYC, and Harvard) most certainly would very vocally object to their records being copied and falsified by the Obama Mis-adminstation!
November 18, 2009 at 6:36 pm
I don’t really buy the foreign student possibility. Also, I’m not familiar with “full college records”… I’ve never even looked at my own! But do they include information about who paid for the tuition?
November 18, 2009 at 10:35 am
Eric,
I assume there is a diploma somewhere. If there isn’t, how do we even know he graduated from those schools. I truly believe that both reasons applied. But, the public would not have been surprised by number 2. So, the most likely, heavily weighted reason for not revealing his records is number 1. During the Bush campaign, the MSM made mince meat of GWB of his grades, but then it was revealed that Gore and Kerry also had appalling academic performances. So, when Utopia ran, his handlers made sure that his records would never surface, and would never respond to questions about them. I also believe there is a reason number 3 for not showing his records: was he on a scholarship as a “foreign student” at Columbia? Certainly, those records could clear up that question and it is precisely for that reason which is why his records are locked tighter than the gold in Fort Knox.
November 18, 2009 at 10:49 am
Rumors are out there that some wealthy pro-palestinians paid for his education. Something someone named El-Monsour is one of the people I read about who heard about Obama and decided to sponsor him to law school. He went to law school AFTER he was a community organizer for some time, so was becoming known in the community (as a pro-muslim sympathizer). He was into muslim causes and helping the muslims in the community. It is not a big stretch that some people who wanted to put a muslim into office decided to pop for his higher education to make him more valuable to them. I will try to find a link to former articles I read last year.
November 18, 2009 at 11:16 am
Regardless of the status of his legality as a citizen, one thing that I know for sure is that if he graduated with stellar grades, we would have been beaten with them by the MSM.
November 18, 2009 at 12:02 pm
Bill you are correct.
We know he “went” to those schools, but proof of completion of his education there is totally lacking.
And do you really think East Coast Elitist Schools would have been able to tell the truth about American’s first every 1/16 black Kenyan candidate not having graduated?
November 18, 2009 at 12:08 pm
Bill, after reading many, many accounts of how “CHEAP” his maternal grandparents in Hawaii were (yes the professional bankers – people notorious for being cheap with their “own” money), I believe his grandparents saw a useful, money saving ploy their grandson Obama could play.
“Grandson, your natural father is a Kenyan citizen. Your step-father is an Indonesian citizen.
Go and spend time overseas, Pakistan or Indonesia, and then report to the U.S. as a foreign student who can qualify for that free tuition scholarship! Oh and we have your real, Kenyan birth certificate to show the U.S. officials to “prove” you are not a legal U.S. citizen too!”
November 18, 2009 at 12:10 pm
Susan B,
a U.S. higher education’s costs would have been peanuts as a future investment in a Manchurian Candidate for those middle-east oil rich Muslims.
November 18, 2009 at 1:56 pm
I think it’s the chairman of the Libertarian Party–don’t know his name, but he graduated in Poly Sci the same year that Dr. U supposedly did, and he has said he didn’t know Obama nor knew anyone who did.
It’s curious.
November 18, 2009 at 12:00 pm
EricP, isn’t it also true that Obama never ever released his health records either?
November 18, 2009 at 12:22 pm
http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-81924
The man I was referring to is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour and there seems to be a link between him and Obama, through Percy Sutton, a civil rights activist. IT IS NO COINCIDENCE that Obama met all these people and they took a liking to him: Birds of a feather flock together.
November 18, 2009 at 12:28 pm
Yeah!
Burds of a feather fluck together!
And that article is right on Obama-man-loving CNN!
November 18, 2009 at 6:35 pm
I believe you are correct about his health records. McCain released his full health records… Obama released only small portions along with a “doctor’s note” that said he’s in good health.
November 18, 2009 at 1:53 am
One last thing, I am sorry to hear of any one person’s loss of life for whatever reason. Rest in peace Michael Scott.
November 18, 2009 at 2:52 am
So happy to see you all “got your spark back” after such a rough summer!
Since this is an open thread, here are a few bits and pieces:
Interesting NYT piece viz buyer’s remorse in Iowa over Obama…
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/03/us/politics/03year.html
While lots of statewide (“local”) items, as ramping up for 2012 (and 2010), “all politics are local” – so it will help to be familiar with the political buzz in Iowa: blogs.desmoinesregister.com/dmr/index.php/category/news/iowapolitics/

November 18, 2009 at 6:35 am
Good morning Boyz and felloe Buzzers…
The Washington Post did a point counter point (left and right) review of Going Rogue.
In a stripe of irony, thicker than any of Michelle’s boob belts, the WaPo “Leftie” felt Palin’s tome wallowed in ‘narcissism and victimhood.”
I guess THAT reviewer NEVER picked up “Dreams of (the guy I sorta think is) My Father” or “Audacity of Hope(lessness).”.
And finally the ELEVEN ‘fact checkers’ (hired by the breathless AP) to pick thru “Going Rogue (did ya know Sarah wrote she “seldom stayed in ‘robe and slipper’ type fourt star hotels…and the SWAT found that Palin Tand Willow) ONCE stayed in a swanky ‘robe and slipper’ place in NYC. Whew…Democracy is saved.
Bill Ayers must be quaking…(Yeah right).
November 18, 2009 at 6:57 am
One more thing…anyone catch ‘The Narcissist in Chief’s’ speech in China yesterday about “some American men being set in their ways” regarding women (like, let’s say a Presidential candidate who IGNORES an intelligent woman who garnered more primary votes and instead picked an old, mistake prone white guy. Yep that’s pretty ’set.’)
I wonder if Utopia will make comments like that in let’s say Saudi Arabia? (I crack myself up sometimes).
November 18, 2009 at 12:25 pm
And Mary,
O-Bow-Mao bowed again – this time to the Communists in Communist China!
November 18, 2009 at 8:03 am
How many times can you say you are “a few weeks away” from a decision. Regardless of your position on this matter, the indecision has got to make you wonder about this guys competence.

A few weeks away are always a few weeks away.
Just as manana is always manana.
November 18, 2009 at 8:09 am
Interesting to learn from Obama’s interview with Major Garrett/Fox that the US will suffer a double-dip recession….no..really?? You’re kidding..!!
November 18, 2009 at 10:39 am
For that prognostication, Utopia will win the next nobel prize in economics. Count on it – someone will have nominated him already! In the mean time, his mention of double dip has his VP salivating like Pavlov’s dog already.
November 18, 2009 at 8:32 am
Me loves me some American Thinker this morning….Sarah’s the anti-Obama and has the libs by the short hairs :)
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/11/sarah_amazing.html
Love or hate her, I think she’s changing politics forever and for that I’m thankful !
November 18, 2009 at 10:22 am
Both Hillary and Sarah have been targets of the relentless anti-women bigotry in the Man-Stream.
One big difference….
Sarah is locking and reloading…. to take ‘em down. (She said so herself. Teehee.)
November 18, 2009 at 10:35 am
SYD,
I would NOT be surprised if Hillary we’re lockin’ and reloading too! :))
November 18, 2009 at 10:35 am
grr weren’t…not we’re
November 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm
Yep, over at HotAir–Oprah’s highest ratings in 2 years.
November 18, 2009 at 8:37 am
I wrote the AP and asked them if any of those eleven reporters fact-checking Sarah’s book would be fact-finding the SLUMLORD Valerie Jarrett. I’m not holding my breath. You know years ago…like in the days when Dan Quayle (who did a ton of wonderful things for this country and was never given credit) was unfairly attacked left and right, we had no way to protest. We have the internet now. I send emails to my representatives…I send emails to the MSM. My one email may not matter and they may not even read it…but if thousands of people write they at least count it and know we’re paying attention. Newsweek did not print any of the negative responses they got for Al Gore’s cover. But they were called out for it. So our voices do matter.
November 18, 2009 at 12:31 pm
Yeah, Bev, the U.S. Media have the mentality of gang rapists.
November 18, 2009 at 8:42 am
holy shit….. morning joe is showing the lines at the mall for sarah… she’s not there until 6pm tonight and the line is miles long. They are saying they’ve never seen anything like this.
November 18, 2009 at 8:48 am
I’m thinking I might leave here at dinner time…hoping I get a place in line..possibility of standing in line for 18 hours if all works out…cross your fingers…
November 18, 2009 at 9:11 am
No doubt Dr. Utopia will be totally oblivious of the popularity of Sarah and her book – just like he was unaware that Tea Parties were going on (but managed to pick up the disgusting term used to refer to them.) Thus he will be forced to continue to believe that all of America is still feeling very Hope-y /Change-y.

One word…….France.
November 18, 2009 at 9:06 am
Yahoo answers yesterday had several questions about “Why is it wrong for the POTUS to bow? It’s good manners.” Idiots. They have no pride or comprehension of state decorum.
November 18, 2009 at 9:16 am
If it’s good manners to bow, then why did the Emperor of Japan not bow to Obama? Is it because he has bad manners, or because he bows to no one!
November 18, 2009 at 9:16 am
Oh they know. If this was any other president – they would be hurling the criticisms. I’m still waiting for the NYT to publish a piece critical of Dr. U’s bows, since they criticized Pres. Clinton “almost bow” when he was in Japan as president.

I lived in a Commonwealth nation–Papua New Guinea–in the early 1980s as a missionaries’ kid (both parents were missionaries, not just Dad). I attended an international primary school whose teachers were mostly Australians, New Zealanders, or English.
I remember my 6th grade teacher criticizing First Lady Nancy Reagan for for not genuflecting toward Queen Elizabeth when Mrs. Reagan attended the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. As a proud young American, I knew the drill in 6th grade: American leaders do not bow to other heads of state.
November 18, 2009 at 10:30 am
Civil respect doesn’t mean submissive postures.
However, if he’s going to do the ‘when in Rome’, thing, then have your state department people do the research on these topics. Instead, he just makes it up as he goes along.
Amatuer night.

AMEN!

I lived in Papua New Guinea during the 1960’s and early 70’s and left within a week of it gaining independance in in 1973. I went to a local school in Finnschafen and then KLS.
My dad was a missionary and mom was a nurse.

Been visiting your site for a while. It’s great; you guys are hard workers!
I’ve been wondering, since I heard about the prisoners at Guantanamo being moved to a prison near Chicago. Are any of the Chicago bunch who dabble in real estate involved in this? Seems like a lot of them were going to make a profit on the Olympic deal. That didn’t go through. Have some of them “invested” in a prison? Who stands to make a profit on this?
There’s so many avenues to take if anyone was to investigate this White House. Where are the investigative journalists??
Anyway, wondering today, what are the feelings about this in Chicago?
November 18, 2009 at 9:23 am
SEIU president most frequent visitor to White House. 22 time from inauguration to July 31 (that’s over 3.5 times/mo.)
http://www.atr.org/seiu-president-andy-stern-visits-white-a4152
I haven’t been able to verify this, but yesterday Glenn Beck said Hillary was there 4 times.
November 18, 2009 at 9:36 am
Yeah…I’ve started emailing AP and all the SMS and asking…Hey..where’s the reporting on this? Valerie Jarrett Slumlord Chief Assistant? Where’s the story? When you call them out they notice. Look how stupid they all looked when Fox got Van Jones to resign! Half America went WHO? People are noticing. Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck….thank heavens we have these people.
And incredibly the MSM sits there with deer in the headlights and has no clue. They can’t deal with the “mere public” actually telling them what they want to hear about.
Look at the way they are treating Hilliary Clinton. How many war zones has she been sent off to now? Any minute she will be sent to Israel to go visit the Palestinian leader in Gaza. SERIOUSLY! Didn’t Bill Ayers just call her a White Supremist in a speech??? I didn’t see the outrage about that.
November 18, 2009 at 10:21 am
There is a website dedicated to Valerie Jarrett. Interesting articles over there.
http://stopjarrett.com/
November 18, 2009 at 11:23 am
“Didn’t Bill Ayers just call her a White Supremist in a speech??? I didn’t see the outrage about that.”
I didn’t even know until I googled this after reading your post.
Wow. Can’t have outrage if it’s under the radar in the MSM. :p
November 18, 2009 at 12:02 pm
I bet you it didn’t go unnoticed at the Clinton house. I think as Obama’s clout drops (and it’s dropping rapidly) the Clinton’s power will rise and I am sure they’ve kept notes.
November 18, 2009 at 12:40 pm
RE: “I bet you it didn’t go unnoticed at the Clinton house. I think as Obama’s clout drops (and it’s dropping rapidly) the Clinton’s power will rise and I am sure they’ve kept notes.”
Bev, I bet the Clintons have perfect “end games” for Rahm, Ayers, Axelrod, Obama, Michelle, Gore, et. al.
….
I would not want to be in that ill-fated group.
November 18, 2009 at 12:36 pm
It’s real hard work, planning stealing all those votes.
November 18, 2009 at 9:54 am
At the risk of sounding like a stuck record, THIS is still on my mind:
http://watchdog.org/2009/11/17/6-4-billion-stimulus-goes-to-phantom-districts/
Where did our almost one trillion dollars actually go? We hit 12 trillion dollars in debt the other day, and climbing.
I’m really worried for our country’s future.
November 18, 2009 at 10:08 am
Where’s the media ? Wasn’t there something like 865 congressional districts that benefitted from the stimulus? LOL, idiots.
Meanwhile back at AP and their dedicated 11 fact checkers to work Palin’s book…..sigh.
November 18, 2009 at 10:21 am
There you go, and that’s the point.
440 bogus Congressional districts. Is any of that data valid? I would guess probably not. Almost a trillion in emergency spending, down a rat hole of financial oblivion.
Btw, we also paid 84 million taxpayer dollars for that bogus website.
The media is in the tank for the far left, so they’re mostly mum. They’re only going to publish this under duress. ABC News did a piece but I think that folks over there are starting to wake up to the idea that they’re in Fox’s dust and they want to break from the pack, at least a bit.
Yeah, let’s focus on Palin’s book. Smoke and mirrors, a distraction. It always makes me think of this:
November 18, 2009 at 12:06 pm
Here’s the state-by-state guide to the Phantom Disticts of America :p
http://watchdog.org/2009/11/17/your-guide-to-the-stimulus-district-by-phantom-district/print/
Wasn’t Recovery.com Joe Biden’s “baby” ? I recall he forgot the web address when being INTERVIEWED about it.
November 18, 2009 at 10:26 am
Found out about Hillbuzz from yr article on the Bushes via Lucianne.com. So, as a new follower, I’m wondering if you have commented on Jack Cashill’s investigative reporting on Ayer’s penning “Dreams From My Father”? If there is any truth to that, what do you think would be the backlash and why is it not getting any coverage outside of American Thinker? If it is true that O didn’t write his memoir, I gleefully look forward to how the MSM handles it. If you haven’t covered this, please do!
November 18, 2009 at 10:27 am
Totally off this topic, but did you hear that the murdering Jihadist, Hasan, wanted to charge his patients with WAR CRIMES????
Just hang the guy already.

He was really just being therapeutically supportive. Helping them try to take responsibility for their decisions.
No worries, there.
November 18, 2009 at 10:45 am
LOL!
I wonder if he instructed any of those soldiers as to how they could blow themselves up.
November 18, 2009 at 10:46 am
so much for doctor – patient confidentuality.
November 18, 2009 at 11:14 am
It probably came from complaints from the patients themselves. Who, btw, are fully within their rights to freely speak about their experience.
I can tell you as someone that used to be in healthcare and is cognizant of the rules/laws/policies that govern this, that any patient is free to speak about their experiences with a doctor. It’s the DOCTOR/staff that has the confidentiality constraint.
November 18, 2009 at 10:29 am
Fox is doing a story on the Bush’s visit to Fort Hood!! Hopefully, there will be video we can post.
November 18, 2009 at 12:25 pm
On a related note…..Sarah’s donating her profits on book sales at the Fort Hood signing to the victims’ families. The signing was scheduled before the massacre.
But you won’t read about this in the MSM ! Heaven forbid she should sell more books to help the families.

This is a fantastic story that shows how intertwined Obama is with ACORN.
And how this whole economic crisis has been manufactured, Cloward/Piven style.
A MUST READ, with charts and graphs.
This totally knocked me off my feet.

Tamara,
I do believe it was manufactured.
November 18, 2009 at 12:53 pm
There is no other possible explanation. When you go back and look at the trends in the polls and the predictions of doom-and-gloom that never happened–we were lied to.

Here is another report on the “October Surprise” (be sure and click on the various links, too):

What do you want to bet that George Soros was behind all of that?

When Palin’s book was announced, I ordered two copies–one for me and one for a yet-to-be-determined person (perhaps my other half). Well, I didn’t want to wait until Amazon finally delivered, so I bought a copy last night at Borders. Now I have two copies to give away.
FYI, if you are a David Sedaris fan (love his books!), his “Holidays on Ice” has been updated. I read this book every Christmas with almost as much reverence as I read the Nativity in the New Testament! Yeah .. .. .. a little crazy here.
November 18, 2009 at 12:59 pm
Obama wants to quicly cover-up a thorough investigation into the Ft. Hood shooter as emails abound that he was in contact with high-level Al-Queda type people who counseled him. First reports said that the FBI did have Hasan in their sights but lately that kind of reporting has been scrapped. Did Obama endanger the security of our soldiers because he always sides with muslims?

Forgive me, for I have been on CNN.com.
But I did find this curious nugget while digging in the garbage, which HillBuzz has alluded to earlier, but this time from Dr. Utopia’s own mouth:
“But when it comes to the 2012 race, Obama didn’t discount the possibility he may sit out on a reelection bid.
“You know, if – if I feel like I’ve made the very best decisions for the American people and three years from now I look at it and, you know, my poll numbers are in the tank and because we’ve gone through these wrenching changes, you know, politically, I’m in a tough spot, I’ll – I’ll feel all right about myself,” Obama told CNN’s Ed Henry during an interview in China.”

November 18, 2009 at 1:21 pm
Maria~that IS a good little nugget….
but then we remember what a narcissist he is.
November 18, 2009 at 1:24 pm
Well you know, considering if he gets the socialist changes he is trying to make to our economy it is going to implode due to the debt …he knows if this happens his chances of re-election are none. Which…that is scary. The fact that he would say that because he KNOWS the destruction of our economy is coming. So what does he have to lose? If we can get a majority in the 2010 elections we can at least have a chance of getting this guy out of office or slowing the progress of his changes we might be able to reverse some of the damage.
We’re being bombarded by the MSM with all this crap news when the focus should be on our economy. We cannot sustain this deficit. If Bernake raises interest rates, at the rate we are printing money right now…POOF. People do not realize that. If Europe does not stand up and rescue us…we’re done. That is why gold is going up. The dollar will be totally worthless. I don’t understand why the media is not focusing on this.
November 18, 2009 at 1:46 pm
Bev:
The MSM won’t say ANYTHING that would negatively affect Obama.
And if the DO report on this financial crisis they just keep repeating the mantra, “It’s all Bush’s fault. It’s all Bush’s fault”.
November 18, 2009 at 1:39 pm
“…if…three years from now I look at it…my poll numbers are in the tank…politically, I’m in a tough spot..”
Translation: If my dithering gets to be too much and nobody likes me anymore, I’m gonna take my ball and go home.”
November 18, 2009 at 2:06 pm
I wouldn’t be surprised. He just wanted to win–not to work. It’s probably harder than he thought, even with czars
November 18, 2009 at 2:14 pm
Yes, I can just see him declaring victory and taking his ball and bat and going home. Reality never has gotten in his way.
November 18, 2009 at 7:06 pm
Maybe he expects to have collapsed the economy before then, have declared Martial Law and suspended elections. President for life. I listen to myself and feel like I have become a conspiracy theorist bit I look around and I see it is a possibity. We have to wake up or the game will be over. God bless you boys for stepping up and providing us with a place to come to meet other bipartisan independent thinking people so we can figure out together what we the people can do, together.

David Pflouffe(sp) has admitted team obama help orchestrate Florida/Michigan shenanigans. They worked with Edwards to get those campaign pledges. He writes obama was far behind and couldn’t compete because he needed to win Iowa.

Holder what a tool. Does he really think that is where the geniune probelm is? And then to ascribe such cowardly positions for the opposition to his decision. Ugh….his quotes are below.
” “I have every confidence that the nation and the world will see him for the coward that he is,” Holder told the committee. “I’m not scared of what Khalid Sheik Mohammed has to say at trial—and no one else needs to be either.”
Holder said the public and the nation’s intelligence secrets can be protected during a public trial in civilian court.
“We need not cower in the face of this enemy,” Holder says. “Our institutions are strong, our infrastructure is sturdy, our resolve is firm, and our people are ready.” “

What a tool.
November 18, 2009 at 3:35 pm
Specifically, I think this is a diversionary tactic to get folks to focus on so-called torture approved by the Bush administration, for starters.
And generally, if you get folks focused on the show trial you might be able to ram through legislation under the radar that the public might otherwise oppose.

STEP 2 :
Call your Governor’s office and tell them to help stop this bill in the Senate. Ask your Governor to stand up for the citizens of the state and ask the Senators to vote NO for a motion to proceed.
Go here to find your state governor contact information:
http://www.nga.org/portal/site/nga/menuitem.2a99b226b4b22be006f79af0501010a0/?vgnextoid=
It is important that our Governors help us in this fight. The federal government is looking to make enormous cuts in medicare. The plans being discussed will require that states make up for these cuts. With the high unemployment rate of over 10% and the state of our economy it would be detremential to state governments. Governors need to know we don’t want the states to have to make up the difference, and we need their help in stopping this bill.
STEP 3:
Call your state medical associations and voice your concerns about the AMA voting to support the Government take over of health care. Express your concerns and let them know that they are not speaking for Americans or the majority of physicians.
Go here to find your state medical associations.

Question: Could someone please remind me (or tell me in the first place, perhaps) why the MSM wanted Obama so badly over Hillary? It wasn’t so very long ago that she was one of their fair-haired daughters. Why the switch?
November 18, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Biden put it into words, but I think this is the reason the MSM adores Obowmau:
“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Well done!
Of course, since it was an American M/V, it HAD to be in the wrong:
Right. Congress needs to issue letters of marque to any US flagged vessel that requests them. Kick these thugs often enough and they will go out of the business.
November 18, 2009 at 5:58 pm
That’s why you DON’T want gun control laws – crime tends to go down if the criminals know that the “targets” might be packing heat……..
November 18, 2009 at 6:54 pm
Exactly. Every State that has become ’shall issue” (no, Joe, DO NOT get started on having to beg from the state permission to exercise a constitutionally protected right) has seen an almost instant and dramatic decrese in the rate of violent crime. But places like CA, which keep placing more restrictions on honest citizens abilities to exercise a civil right keep seeing rising crime rates.
FL was a good example. When it became shall issue, crime dropped dramatically, except for the increase in violent crimes against tourists. That was finally tracked to the special license plates (or something) on rental cars. Thugs knew that most rentals were to out of state tourists who could not carry concealed in FL. When FL got rid of the identifiers on the rental cars, crimes against tourists dropped to the level of crime against residents of FL.

Here is an update from Dr. Alan Keyes, just in case you thought Obama’s ass in the air bow to Akihito may have been “polite”.
Dr. Alan Keyes, former Ambassador under President Reagan has weighed in on the “Obowma.” His take on it is that Obowma is very shrewd and this is a deliberate insult to the people of the United States. He said “The appearance of stupidity in the bow to Emperor Akihito covers the shrewdness of Obama’s real bow, which is in fact to the requirements of the continuing deception that hides his deep betrayal of his oath and of America’s trust.”
It certainly wasn’t traditional. A short piece on tradittional Japanese bows.
November 18, 2009 at 4:29 pm
What on earth do you make of this little ditty:
Obama says it: There’s a chance he won’t run in 2012
November 18, 2009
In an interview with CNN in China, President Obama opened the possibility to not running for re-election in 2012 — something that no president has done since Lyndon Johnson.
Here’s what he said:
“You know, if – if I feel like I’ve made the very best decisions for the American people and three years from now I look at it and, you know, my poll numbers are in the tank and because we’ve gone through these wrenching changes, you know, politically, I’m in a tough spot, I’ll – I’ll feel all right about myself,” Obama told CNN’s Ed Henry.
“I said to myself very early on, even when I started running for office, I don’t want to be making decisions based on getting re-elected, because I think the challenges that America faces right now are so significant,” the president also said.
Mmmmmmmm…Parkinson’s watch? Or, yeah right pal.
November 18, 2009 at 5:23 pm
He can’t tell the truth if his life depended on it! Quote from Obama: I am under no circumstances, definitely NOT going to Copenhagen for the Olympics”. FACT: He went.
Quote: I am not running for president (since I am Kenyan born), I am running for senate so it really doesn’t matter. FACT: He broke the law and violated our constitution when he put his name into nomination for president.
I wouldn’t hold your breath that Obama will not run again. He is a master of deception, a true con artist in every detail. It seems like he was just putting another con out there.
November 18, 2009 at 5:47 pm
It’s called…”When I collapse the economy and the country is socialist and living the standard of living of Cuba everybody will hate me so why bother?” is what it is.

I’m not a big fan of Sen. Graham, but he has it spot-on with his question on Miranda Rights.
November 18, 2009 at 6:59 pm
I’m no fan of his either, but that was the FIRST thing that I thought of, way back when they were first talking about this as even a possibility.
I’m intensely concerned that anyone who is brought under the umbrella of our criminal courts when captured on the battlefield, may have their cases thrown out on a legal procedural technicality OR we hamstring our military by ‘criminalizing the war’.
It’s a massive Pandora’s Box of nasty, and I will say it again, if someone like KSM gets off there will be screaming from sea to shining sea and a backlash of epic proportions from the public.
To paraphrase someone on Fox tonight, yeah we though OJ would be convicted, too, or somesuch.
November 18, 2009 at 6:51 pm
This is completely OFF TOPIC, but I am so mad about this breast cancer guidelines that have been brought about from a panel that has not a single onclogist, nor a radiologist as a member that I am besides myself.
The saddest part that I was talking to a breast cancer survivor who was not told that there was a problem one year and the next time that she had a mammogram there was a BIG problem and she consequently had a lumpectomy and radiation. At that time she was upset because she was not aware about the problem one year before. Now she tells me that two years is fine. We are talking about a member of the medical community that is well known internationally and I guess considers the new guidelines fine. I have lost all respect for her considering that she could have maybe had a less invasive procedure to being with.
On a personal note, I skipped a mammogram one year and because there was a big change I was advised to have FIVE needle biopsies (not fun let me tell you, three of the five were extremely painful), all benign but if I would have had the mammogram the year before it would have been a moot point. So, not only did my insurance had to pay for the mammogram but for the additional fice biopsies that I have to do. I think a mammogram would have been a lot cheaper.
Regardless, for a health care provider to say on TV about “quality of life” make it so ridiculous since “quality of life” would best be served with preventative and early detection. If this is going on before the ObamaCare passes, what can we expect when it does?
November 18, 2009 at 7:22 pm
Allie, I’ve been upset by this decision as well. How many women do we all know under the age of 50 that have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Can you imagine how much greater the mortality rate would be right now if the gov’t recommendation was implemented 20 years ago? Also, what proof do they have that self examination is not helpful? I think any thing you can do to familiarize yourself with how your body works and what are normal indicators, is more likely to prepare you when something may not be right. Self examination of the breasts provide us that self awareness throughout our lives. I want to see how they conducted the research and what data they used to draw their conclusion. IMHO, this is all BS. Let’s ask Brett Favre’s wife, Deanna, who was diagnosed and treated for Breast Cancer in her late 30s what she thinks of this.
November 18, 2009 at 7:49 pm
This might sound weird, but I am very well endowed, so a self breast examination would not have worked for me because the abnormalities were deep. They would only have shown up in a mammogram or an ultrasound. The first time that I had a mammogram it was done at a facility sponsored by a medical school teaching hospital and the radiologist had me wait until she could read the results and I had surgery a week later. I was in my early 40’s. According to the new guidelines it might have been worse. I guess that what upsets me the most is when a woman comes up on TV and talks about “quality of life” when quality of life would beoome moot if it is found early enough. Thank you very much, but breast cancer cannot tell age. I have absolutely no family medical history for ANY type of cancer. The women in my family live well into their 90’s. My grandmother, greatgrandmother were both 95 years old when they died. My mom is going to be 89 next month and she has cousins that are well into their 90’s and they still take buses to go shopping and spend half the year in CA and the other half in NY with her children so longevity is the norm in women in my family. Men, not so much, but they still live into their 80’s. I am sorry but I just have to vent. A friend of mine had her best friend die of breast cancer at 36 and a very good friend of mine was diagnosed with it even though she had no family history ans was not considered a risk.
