Check it out: a thing of beauty.

Sarah Palin’s first national campaign bus of her own. For some reason, the child of the 80s in us can’t help but running the old Transformers cartoon theme through our head. “More than meets the eye”.

Ostensibly, this bus is to promote Palin’s book, Going Rogue.

But, Transformers-style, there’s a point in the future where that bus could transform from book-tour mobile to presidential campaign coach.

In other news, today’s the day all of us here get our copies of Going Rogue.

We plan to read them all around Chicago, in coffee houses, at the gym, on the trains. Even when we are done with the books, we plan on taking the paper covers and putting them on the next books we are reading, so that we can carry around Going Rogue’s artwork all over town…so as many people see it being read out in public as possible.

We’ll keep track of the responses we get and report them back here. There’s a very good chance people will be Obot, Kool-Aid soaked hatemongers and say vile things about Palin to us. That’s what they do when we wear Palin tee shirts. For people so keen on Hope!, Change!, and Unicorns!, Dr. Utopia’s supporters sure are filled with plenty of hate.

Why is that?

Why does Sarah Palin rattle them so?

Remember, this woman is supposed to be so stupid, according to them, that she can’t even read a book let alone write one (especially since she’s never met William Ayers, so she couldn’t ask him to write the book for her).

Also, Dr. Utopia’s supporters keep telling us how everyone hates Palin, how she has no future in politics, how she’s a waste of space who should get off the stage.

So, why do these people wake up each morning as William Shatner staring into the bathroom mirror shouting SAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAH! in Wrath of Khan mode?

Why does she unnerve them so?

What are they going to do when they get a look at this bus?

UPDATE:  Palin was on Rush Limbaugh today, so share your thoughts on this thread too.  Someone will link to a transcript and audio feed for this at some point as well.  Apparently, Palin put forward more substantive policy points in 30 minutes than our current president has in 11 months.  Go, Sarah, Go!
