Here’s an interesting article from Israel about Dr. Utopia “diluting the US presidency”. It’s a great read that essentially says Dr. Utopia has turned the presidency into a joke — something not even George W. Bush achieved.
Yes, we were amongst those who ridiculed Bush in 2000.
We stood in disbelief in the aftermath of 9/11 when Bush was deifiefed for doing what we thought any president should do: going to New York and standing there with a bullhorn and giving the country something to focus on in those terrible, terrible days.
We were outraged at the Iraq War, because we maintained Colin Powell lied to the UN about the futuristic weapons Saddam Hussein supposedly had.
We were disgusted by the response to Hurricane Katrina — because the near-miss in 2004 should have given the government a full year to prep for the next hurricane.
But, during the 2008 general election, we started to reappraise President Bush…and this didn’t really become crystal clear to us until after Dr. Utopia was sworn in, but Bush was actually very good for America in a great many ways.
We no longer believe “anyone would have done that on 9/11″ in regards to Bush’s pitch-perfect performance on the ground at Ground Zero.
Great Merfiful Zeus, George W. Bush did the world a mighty service that day, by being the strong, determined, resolute figure we all needed right then and there. With that bullhorn, standing up straight, being strong — he held this country together.
We are truly horrified to think of what Dr. Utopia would have done in his place. Would he have stood there and said how much America deserved what we got…how we needed to be humble and understanding of Islam…how we are just one of many countries in the world and were wrong to be so strong and empowered? Would the apology tour have made a command performance that day…when we needed a leader, not an apologist?
People make fun of Bush as a cowboy, but cowboys are chock full of awesome in our book.
Look what we have in Washington now: an effeminate, professorial, TelePrompTer-dependent, narcissicist huckster who desperately wants the world to love him…and the only sure way to do that is to sell out American interests and weaken this nation to curry favor with the elitists of Europe and the ugly despots of Islam.
Why the Hell isn’t New Orleans being rebuilt now, with Dr. Utopia in office for 10 months now? Isn’t he supposed to work miracles? Isn’t that why we were supposed to elect him? If the failure of New Orleans was all Bush’s fault for not doing anything, then why isn’t New Orleans being repaired now, when Dr. Utopia essentially has all three branches of government under his control?
If Bush’s approach to other nations was so terrible, then why did the world feel safer when he was in office? Why did Putin in Russia, Kim Jong Il in North Korea, Chavez in Venezuela, and Aquavelvajad in Iran all tremble before what the MSM called “our idiot cowboy”?
Our enemies knew Bush would kick ass and take names whenever they stepped out of line. Now, our enemies know Dr. Utopia will send them flowers, chocolates, or possibly strip-o-grams singing kumbaya…and then apologize for it later.
It all feels like a strict teacher has left the classroom of unruly students, with a naive and hopey-changey substitute in his place. And the kids are going wild, throwing spit balls, setting desks on fire, raising general Hell. All the while, the lanky, fey liberal is pleading with them all to “remain ladies and gentlemen”, to “let me be clear, come together and settle down prompted only by my laboriously long monologue on the collective benefits of eliminating all spit balls in our lifetime”, to “stand in awe of me, because I went to Harvard and have been approved by all the big thinkers of the entrenched elite”.
All the while, the damn fool’s got a designer blue suit covered in chalk, with his $300 Hermes tie caught in his partially unzipped fly.
Major Steve Austin’s been replaced by Steve Urkel. And the only ones who really love the change are the brats up front who know they can now get away with absolutely anything.
We hope we aren’t the only ones who see the many disasters ahead because of this. Awarding this man the Nobel Peace Prize is more than just an enormous joke…it’s encouragement for him to carry on with the weakening of America and the diluting of the presidency. Europe will be thrilled, and could possibly give him great prizes for the next three years.
But what will America win?
Who will stand up for us like Bush did?
What mess will future presidents Clinton, Palin, and others inherit from this Lightbringer?
What think you?

Wow I read the first sentence and already HAVE to comment
“Here’s an interesting article from Israel about Dr. Utopia “diluting the US presidency”. It’s a great read that essentially says Dr. Utopia has turned the presidency into a joke — something not even George W. Bush achieved.”
So he IS managing to accomplish things this early, he managed to dilute bother the POTUS AND the Nobel… That’s our lightbringer

Why isn’t the city being rebuilt at fast pace now? Because Obama and the Democrats got what they wanted from New Orleans…
By the way he is coming here and all he will do is tie up traffic and visit a school in the 9t ward..Meanwhile he continues to call the effects of katrina a “natural diseaster…convenietly so..
it was and remains a diseaster caused by The US Army Corps of Engineers and their contractors and now covered up by him..Bush..Congress except for our people there..by the incompetent planning and building and maintaining of the levees here.
Please go to http://www.levees.org to see ..review..all the evidence..
And …do not miss the fact that from internal safety reports from the Corps itself..over 122 levees all over this country are deemed unsafe..by them!
October 13, 2009 at 2:37 pm
Actually, New Orleans’ rebuilding is on hold until the present mayor, a crook under investigation for many reasons, is out of office. There’s no use sending him more money to steal.
October 13, 2009 at 6:11 pm
The USACE is at once New Orlean’s greatest friend, and worst enemy. They’ve kept the river at bay, and Lake Ponchatrian mostly in its banks.
But there’s only so much one can do when one lives in bowl below sea-level. And sadly, because the river is no longer allowed to flood, the entire city is sinking into the swamp. Slowly, by inches.
October 13, 2009 at 1:24 pm
I’m not sure. A lot of people I talk to don’t think the Health Care junk will pass because so many of us don’t want it to…but I think it will pass. I think it will pass precisely because so many of us don’t want it to…just my gut feeling. I’m not sure how it will ultimately affect us…but I think that is the goal..to control us…I don’t know if we will be able to recover from it. I am not being negative…just realistic…and reality isn’t always happy..
October 13, 2009 at 3:21 pm
I will be sending money to any candidate that opposes Olympia Snowe of Maine. I live in CA.
October 13, 2009 at 4:34 pm
I will do all I can, living here in Maine, to see she doesn’t get in again..I wrote to her/Collins before when they voted with the Dems..Think I heard anything back?..Now they send me emails asking for money..Yeah, right.
October 13, 2009 at 7:04 pm
I hear her constituents love her and she will never be voted out. What is your take?
October 14, 2009 at 7:25 am
Lana, you are right..She has been elected so long, they just except her. Same with Collins..But with things changing here in Maine, like people moving in from other areas, there might be hope. She is a puppet and Obama is pulling her strings.
October 13, 2009 at 7:10 pm
It will pass, and it will be done in a sneaky, underhanded way so that no one will know exactly what’s in it for months.
October 13, 2009 at 1:32 pm
Good questions all. They bear asking. They bear addressing. They bear answering. But you all must be RAAAACIST for questioning the lightbringer so.
Here’s something interesting, for those who didn’t already know. The actual meaning of the word “Utopia” is “no place”. Sir Thomas More believed that the vision of a perfect society was impossible, and thus dubbed his perfect society “Utopia” in a reference to his belief that it could not exist.
A better warning for present day may not exist.
If you want a good laugh, go look at the description of Utopia on Wikipedia. Read the part about how commercialism and capitalism are the cause of social disruption, and how socialism is society’s savior.
Proof that Wikipedia is not the font of all wisdom.
How many lives have been literally destroyed at the hands of “socialism”?
National Socialist German Workers Party… led by Adolf Hitler. Need I say more?
October 13, 2009 at 2:04 pm
By giving the 44th Presidency to No-Nothing, Do Nothing Obama, it “changed” the meaning of what it is to be president. Yes, you too can be president. If you have no qualifications, no experience, are friends with domestic terrorists like Bill Ayers, racists like Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan, and hate America more than you hate its enemies, then you too can be president. I wonder if we have ever had a president with green eyes? If not, let’s use that as our criteria to vote someone in next time around. Only candidates with green eyes need apply. That makes about as much sense as voting Obama in only because he has a certain skin color. P.S. If you don’t like GREEN eyes, well then you are a Green Eyed RACIST!!!!
October 13, 2009 at 4:57 pm
The other bad thing about it is that they always did teach us in public school that ANYONE can be the president…I guess now we know it is true…
October 13, 2009 at 2:06 pm
I always thought that history would vindicate George Bush—just didn’t realize it would be so soon. Initially, I wasn’t one of his biggest fans and part of that had to do with listening to the MSM (and we all know now how badly skewed they are). Now I have the utmost respect for him and Cheney too. Even if the world doesn’t want to admit it, he was respected and certainly feared. Dumbama–not at all. I couldn’t fight my way out of a wet paper bag, but I sure would like to knock the snot outta that guy–he’d probably respond by windmilling his arms and crying–that hurt!
October 13, 2009 at 2:59 pm
Agree with you, Lulu. Bush was one hell of an effective President and this weak-kneed blowhard is just inviting the Jihadis to do their worst. (I don’t want to sound like someone who is just hoping the US gets hit again because I’m not. I’m simply afraid that Obama’s policies are tragically degrading our defenses.)
October 13, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Since leaving office, GWB has displayed graciousnees and class, thereby dwarfing his not so lyal opposition on the left in spades. he had the courage of his convictions, even though one may have sorely disagreed with his decisions, he damn well made decisions. More than we can say for his mealy mouth, vacillating, double talking, mincing, whiny, arrogant, syncophant of a successor we have been burdened with.
October 13, 2009 at 3:24 pm
I NEVER thought I would miss Bush/Chaney. With all that was wrong and I disagreed with, I never felt that my day-to-day life would be altered and my life choices would be limited by the government.
October 13, 2009 at 2:36 pm
It is a wonderful thing to witness people you truly care about slowly have the veil (anagram for evil) lifted from their eyes and “watch” them come to the realization that many — if not most — of the things they had long believed are untrue. It’s a joy to watch them disengage from the herd mentality and begin to think on their own. Bless those of you undergoing this amazing transformation because, through example, you will cause others to do the same. History will someday show that you, and the patriotic souls awakening beside you, will be the saviors of this country.
October 13, 2009 at 7:06 pm
I just wish it would happen a little faster!
October 13, 2009 at 2:39 pm
The Fluff in the W.H. still has many people fooled. I recieved an email this morning from a democrat wanting me to sign a petition congratulating obama on his Peace Prize. Needless to say I returned the email and let her know just how I felt. So many people are still starry eyed dreamers.
October 13, 2009 at 3:22 pm
So true. Miss GWB more every day.

A couple of nits to pick -
1. ALL intelligence sources said Saddam had WMD. The Brits still stand by it. His generals said he had them but destroyed part, moved part to Syria. We found tons of the stuff that made the gas that killed the Kurds. The Canadians quietly took the tons of yellow cake off Iraq’s hands this past year.
Ask an Iraqi, they say Saddam was a WMD.
2. Regarding Katrina, that was the fault of the corrupt LA politicians who took the money for upkeep of the levies – for years – and spent it on their cronies. Then you had the pathetic governor and the ‘chocolate’ mayor. Both democrats. Good grief, that was NOT Bush’s fault at all.
These leftists and ‘sons’ of Alinsky, want to pit us against each other – for starters, which they do so well, class envy.
They want to control us.
October 13, 2009 at 4:57 pm
Besides, it was Bush who told the residents of New Orleans to leave several days before the storm hit. Where was Nagin and the fruit loop governor? Sitting in a corner with their fingers up their noses.
October 13, 2009 at 5:16 pm
I’ll always remember the horror I felt when I saw that lot full of school buses. It looked like miles and miles of buses, just sitting there. Where was the mayor and governor? I’ve lived in areas where hurricanes hit and the local politicians are the ones responsible for getting people out.
October 13, 2009 at 5:48 pm
“Chocolate” Nagin sat Katrina out in a comfortable hotel room in Baton Rouge.
And to add to what Noodlenoggin said: Nagin’s only real plan was to bend over and kiss Now Orleans’ ass goodbye. No city should have been that unprepared. That’s why cities pay people to plan for emergencies. And no state should have been that unprepared, and for the same reason. But you can’t criticize a black Democrat or a female Democrat; it’s either racist or sexist.
And as an aside, what did Obama do for the people of the Ohio Valley this past spring when hundreds of thousands got flooded out? Where were the shrieks of “Obama hates white people?” Did he even take a close up look?
October 13, 2009 at 6:40 pm
Take a look at this picture
http://cache.boston.com/universal/site_graphics/blogs/bigpicture/iowa_06_17/iowa7.jpg
Is that New Orleans?
No. It’s Cedar Rapids Iowa in 2008, and you never hear a peep out of anyone about it.
My nitpick with the Iraq War:
1.) The first gulf war did not end with a peace treaty. It ended in a cease fire, where Iraq agreed to certain conditions, including allowing UN weapons inspectors to monitor the country’s arms.
Once Iraq kicked out the UN inspectors, they were in breach of the cease fire.
2) Every country with a reputable intelligence apparatus agreed with the assesment that Iraq had WMDs.
3) Always overlooked is the fact that several European countries, including France and Germany, were complicit in the Oil for Food Scandal, which ranks among the world’s biggest frauds.
October 13, 2009 at 7:11 pm
Long time since Junior High history class, so somebody please refresh my Swiss cheese memory: President Bush could only offer federal help to Louisiana/NOLA — help that was denied by both Governor and Mayor. GWB was prevented by the Constitution to take it upon himself to dispatch troops and supplies, or it would’ve been considered an invasion. State’s Rights provision or something close. (Smells like Nagin and Blanco were in collusion to set him up at the expense of the citizenry.)
October 13, 2009 at 7:56 pm
You are correct Granny. But then when it comes to the Constitution, it is toilet paper to the left.
October 14, 2009 at 12:28 am
I believe you’re thinking of the Posse Comitatus Act. It forbids armed services from behaving in the role of law enforcement without extenuating circumstances (I don’t remember all the provisions within the act)
On the converse, the Constitution, Article I, Section 8 enumerates that Congress has the power to call forth the militia. Within the same clause, it specifically mentions suppression of insurrection as one of the reasons for calling the militia. Suppression of insurrection is something that can only happen within your borders.
So, deploying the Army within the US seems to be permissible by the Constitution, but not the Posse Comitatus Act.
Historically, this kind of makes sense, considering the Army was deployed and active throughout the Western half of the nation during expansion in the mid-1800′s. The sight of the military on active duty in the US is simply unusual and taboo (due to Posse Comitatus) today.
October 13, 2009 at 4:55 pm
Great post hillbuzz, and I was right there acting in the same way over the past 8 years. And I feel the same way now – you know what – Bush was not that bad at all.
But I joined in a chorus that was led by the media. They called the tune and I sang right along, repeating their lines.
Now I watch others continue to sing. What a lesson.
October 13, 2009 at 5:15 pm
What an awesome post! I have been thinking all the same things for awhile now and the substitute teacher analogy describes it perfectly. Now I just hope that Obama doesn’t damage our country (and possibly the world) irreparably before he is done. He may be paving the way for the our next great leader, hopefully there will be something left for that person to lead.
October 13, 2009 at 5:18 pm
The substitute teacher that still has over 3 years of stupidity left. January 2013 we will welcome a full time teacher, and say goodbye to the perpetual campaigner.
October 13, 2009 at 5:28 pm
I didn’t always agree with Bush, but I felt safe. I’ve thought all along that he is going to be remembered as a pretty effective president. There is no way that he will be cast into the “worst president ever” role. I think that role is being cast as I type.
This swing in judgement (to a more “Bush wasn’t so bad” judgement) is interesting to watch. Thanks for voicing your opinion on the issue.
December 4, 2009 at 12:40 pm
Wilson was in fact the worst 20th Century President thus far (he won a Nobel Peace Prize also)…the Pure Food and Drug Act, Income Tax on labor which is unconstitutional – income is not wages and labor / wages are, per the constitution, not subject to taxation – and the Federal Reserve where the worst fleecing of America and so far maybe Clinton and Bush W. are the only two Presidents that attempted to restrain taxation in some noticeable way…Clinton passed the $250k/$500k tax free capital gains on primary residence and the Bush tax cuts kept us from going into a financial crisis after 9/11.
The problem with Bush is that towards the end of his 2nd term he did become a classic lame duck President and had his people been pro-active / on the watch, we would not be in the financial mess that we are now.
Obama is like Wilson, a pseudo intellectual / idealistic but not practical and if you think Wilson’s Presidency trampled on our Constitutional Rights, then Obama is going to be just as bad. In fact, its probably a good thing that there is so much Economic work to be done as believe me Obama is just the type to be nannying away our Rights.
The Constitution was written by extremely bright people in English even…you would think that it would be easy to interpret and it is…why are professional politicians for generations messing with the cornerstone to our society?
When I read that Obama wanted to fine people who did not participate in health care scheme…believe me this is not going to make anyone comply…in fact though, it will give the Government more excuses to become bigger and waste more money going after non-compliants in a free country.
This is the problem with Government…it doesn’t have to be all things to all people. Smaller Government really is better…Americans need to stop feeding Government money that they are going to give away to some bankrupt corporation. If the bailouts do become profitable to the People, then we should ensure that taxes are repealed.
October 13, 2009 at 5:51 pm
Good article HillBuzz. I think that when people do a real check on Katrina they’ll see that there was plenty of blame to go around. One of the critism’s of Bush was that he didn’t get the military there sooner. Actually he did attempt to get Governor to federalize the guard on several occasions during and in the aftermath of Katrina but the she refused. This made relief operations more complex then they should have been. I gather that Bush also declared New Orleans a disaster zone before Katrina hit to try to speed things up. Funny, that the Dems and the MSM managed to shift all the blame from the Governor and the Mayor to just Bush.
I think that Bush’s biggest problem was that during the two terms he never defended himself. As his opponents saw that the attacks became more and more vicious. He thought that the office of the President should be above that sort of partison bickering. Instead, I think he was relying on subordinates to do that and they did a pretty piss poor job. As a result more and more of the electorate began to believe these charges and the result was defeats in 2006 and 2008 both chaulked up as Bush’s fault.
October 13, 2009 at 7:16 pm
Yes, GWB stood there and took all of the barbs, innuendo, petty, nasty remarks and outright lies LIKE A MAN. Unlike what the effete princeling currently occupying the WH would do under similar circumstances.
October 13, 2009 at 7:54 pm
GWB did take the slings, barbs and outright lies. Like a man.
The Won can’t take a SNL lame comedy routine without dispatching CNN to ‘fact check’ the accuracy…and whining that everyone is so mean to him.
October 15, 2009 at 10:28 pm
Bush took all the attacks on him after Katrina because he have already beaten the crap out of Kerry a year earlier. Bush’s fault was that he was acting just like a lame duck president.
October 13, 2009 at 9:38 pm
I think Bush didn’t totally understand the negative effects of the constant insults and criticisms, he was living in that Washington D.C. bubble. I heard Cheney wanted to be more aggressive in combating all the lies, but Bush wouldn’t let him, it’s just a rumor, we’ll find out when their books come out next year.
October 13, 2009 at 6:04 pm
What’s even sadder, those on the left that villify fellow citizens for not kneeling at the Messiah’s Altar of Hopey. That evolved during the 2008 primaries, and it’s even worse now. (you racist terrorist sympathizer you!)
Yeah, I wax nostalgic for the Bush years, but it cheers me up to see some conservative blogs really missing the Clinton years too. LOL.
October 13, 2009 at 6:23 pm
I remember being absolutely amazed while watching TV coverage of Katrina a day or two after it hit. A large African American lady was being interviewed about the hardships at the SuperDome and she said “This is all your fault, George W. Bush.” I just laughed and laughed at that and didn’t have any idea that anyone in their right mind could seriously believe that, after hearing myself how Bush warned everyone to leave, and after hearing for days before the storm how bad it might be. And after seeing the pictures of all the school buses (under the city’s control). I thought the interview with her was just a bit of comic relief in the middle of so much devastation. Little did I know…….
October 13, 2009 at 7:39 pm
If you are familiar with the “Fatal Sequence” (see below for the short version), your above comments seem to place those poor folks smack dab in the middle of “dependence”.
Here’s what I trust the government to do for me:
1) Build roads, inefficiently.
2) Provide reasonably good fire department services
3) Provide reasonably good police protection
4) Have the best military in the world (though not necessarily use it effectively)
5) Tax me
That’s about it. I would NEVER, EVER trust the President or the government with my life or the life of my family. How ignorant do you have to be to stay in New Orleans when everyone tells you to leave? Yeah, the government failed to properly do it’s job in the case of Katrina… but based on the government’s track record with things of this nature, only a fool would be surprised by that.
Note, Fatal Sequence:
Bondage > Spiritual Faith > Courage > Freedom > Abundance > Complacency > Apathy > Dependence > Back to Bondage
It has been said that the U.S. is somewhere in the Complaceny/Apathy phase… though with some I certainly see Dependence being practiced, and feel that is where Obama and his team of loonies want us to be.
October 13, 2009 at 8:01 pm
Pie, even the Weather Channel was telling everyone to seek higher ground and safe shelter as the F5 that was Katrina swirled in the Gulf.
Three days out. Three days. School buses, public transit buses, taxi’s, personal car pools…could have been utilized. All politics is local…I bet the Dem (ACORN grew out NOLA did it not???) machine gets the voters to the polls (real, imaginary, and cemetary versions) every election day…so why the hell didn’t ‘they’ (as the powers that be) get those people out? Why was GWB, in Washington, DC, the supposed micromanager of the evac of New Orleans?
Amazing!
October 13, 2009 at 6:30 pm
Though I could take offense as a former substitute teacher, I get your point. (And I was never a whimpy one either!)LOL.
October 13, 2009 at 7:20 pm
In 2004 I sat behind President Bush on the stage of a campaign event in Duluth, MN. Afterwards he turned to those of us behind him and I had the opportunity to shake his hand. I said “God bless you, Mr. President.” He continued to hold my hand, looked deep into my eyes and said “May God bless you.” In that moment, looking into his eyes, I saw the kindness and goodness of a much maligned man of good character. I will never forget that moment when I knew without a doubt how blessed we were as a nation to have him.
I can barely hold my tears in check when I see he and Laura on television now—remembering what we had and comparing it to what we have now.
October 14, 2009 at 3:54 pm
I never like George W as president. But in retrospect, I long for the good old days, when the only vacation he and Laura took was to fly to Crawford, TX. Unlike the O’s who cannot spend enough of our hard earned money fast enough on their own behalf!!!! I do not believe we needed to go to war in Iraq, but in retrospect, at least George W. thought he was keeping us safe. I used to criticize the republicans who liked to waive their American flags but now I long for a president who loves this country and would love it enough to wear a flag pin, by choice! I didn’t like George W. nor did I like Dick Cheney, but didn’t fear them, as I do with Obama and his group of minions. Be careful what you wish for (a democrat in the White House), because you just may end up with Barack and Michelle Obama…
October 13, 2009 at 7:29 pm
Thank you so much for echoing exactly how we feel! As usual, great and very sobering consideration. Spot on!
October 13, 2009 at 7:31 pm
Is he destroying the image of “U.S. President” only to create his own new model of an American leader? What do you boys think about someone like a Petraeus running as president? He seems like a good leader, strong character, doesn’t cater to typical DC games and a bit of a nostalgic return to presidents of our past. But what do you think?
It seems like the only best correction to something like Obama. At least with a military leader, you know that the president would be coming from a line of soldiers who love their country enough to die for it.
October 13, 2009 at 8:02 pm
The leftists are at in once more…bit by bit, removing our liberty. What think you hillbuzz of this action?
Why do we need hate crimes legislation?
These people are despicable.
“Democrats undermine free speech in hate crimes ploy”
http://tinyurl.com/yh8w374
…”First, the committee — controlled by majority Democrats, of course — inserted the hate crimes measure into the House bill, where it had not been before. Then lawmakers made some crucial changes to Brownback’s amendment. Where Brownback had insisted, and the full Senate had agreed, that the bill could not burden the exercise of First Amendment rights, the conference changed the wording to read that the bill could not burden the exercise of First Amendment rights “unless the government demonstrates … a compelling governmental interest” to do otherwise.
That means your First Amendment rights are protected — unless they’re not.
The bill was finished. (To see the final conference-approved bill, see here; the hate crimes section begins on page 1,471 of the pdf.) When it was returned to the House last week for final passage, there was just one vote; lawmakers could either vote for the whole package or against it. They could vote to fund the troops, which would also mean voting for the hate crimes bill, or they could vote against the hate crimes provision, which would also mean voting against funding the troops.
At decision time, 131 of the Republicans most opposed to the hate crimes measure voted against the whole bill. Their vote “against the troops” will no doubt be used against them in next year’s campaign, which was of course the Democratic plan all along. The bill passed anyway, with overwhelming Democratic support…….”

I’m so glad to hear people defend George Bush on Hurricane Katrina and the WMD issues. The Katrina stuff is so maddening, LA is the most corrupt liberal state in the country, it’s been far left since in 1920′s and the Huey Long era. The money sent to fix the levys, and properly create an evacuation plan probably ended up in politically connected people’s pockets. Besides it’s the responsiblity of the local and state gov’t to get people out of there, not the feds.
Besides all that though, I agree GWB was nowhere near the worse president ever. BHO is starting to own that distinction.

What do i think? i think…i wish…i knew how to forward this to Mr. Bush himself. After 8 years of slamin’ and slimin’…it does my heart good to read stuff like this. So if my heart feels better i figure his would leap plum out of his chest. Thanks for giving this most gracious credit where credit is due…(once again).

I feel Obama and his comrads, are tearing down our country, our dollar, our economy, our jobs, our sovereignty..on purpose!
Obama is a U.N. supporter, who has too many that think the USA should turn over all her riches to 3rd world countries…I believe this is being done right now!
Impeachment must start now.
I wonder, since he & Pelosi turned on the CIA, if the CIA would be investigating all Obama’s shady associations and their agenda that is against our Constitution?

I’ve thought the same thing about the CIA investigation.
I’m still wondering why the Clintons and GOP didn’t dig deeper during the campaigns? Was it that the Obots were so effective playing the racist card against criticism?
The only glimmer of hope I have that Obama cannot destroy our country is that Hillary is on his team. She wouldn’t let that happen….right? :)

Hillary couldn’t..first anytime she or Bill TRIED to bring up anything wrong about Obama it was either cries of raaaacism or Obama would just say that is politics as usual or they are just throwing the kitchen sink, and noone from the MSM would report it. LIke the fact he plagerized quite a few of his speeches, the debate when she brought up Rezko, which that whole thing alone should have been a deal breaker, Rev Wright…Plus the whole same party thing
I have NO idea WHY the GOP didn’t bring up any of the things it was commonly known about Obama with just a little digging, we PUMAs kept hoping they would really fight, but McCain wasn’t “conservitive enough” Sarah TRIED but she was often hung out to dry instead of the party having her back

You know guys that Obama was elected just because he was black. Now that the color of his skin is not a sensation, his poll numbers are going down.
