What's Glenn Beck going to say about ACORN today?
Glenn Beck’s going after ACORN today on his show…which is something every American needs to do.
ACORN is a domestic terrorist organization.
We saw ACORN hard at work, in person, in the leadup to the Iowa caucus…organized to game the caucus for Dr. Utopia back in early 2008. We saw them in Indiana for the primary and general election, where we witnessed them intimidating voters they believed would not support Dr. Utopia.
And make no mistake, Dr. Utopia got his start with ACORN…Dr. Utopia believes in and supports ACORN…Dr. Utopia gave money to ACORN…and Dr. Utopia is counting on ACORN for his second term.
ACORN must be stopped…but the problem is, when attacked, ACORN just regroups and re-emerges in some other form, like Dracula in old movies.
Here’s hoping Beck’s our new Van Helsing…and that he does to ACORN what he did to Van Jones…bringing ACORN down with its own words, its own actions, and its own videotapes. All Beck did with Jones was get Americans to see just how bad Jones is…now let’s hope he can do the same thing with ACORN.
Can you BELIEVE what Joe Biden wore last night?
We just can’t get over what Joe Biden had on last night — really, come on, a pale blue tie? What was he thinking? It’s hard to take him seriously, when he’s bouncing up and down clapping and carrying on like a whack-a-mole behind Dr. Utopia, when he’s wearing a color like that. Really.
And that suit…makes his hips look big…not flattering AT ALL.
Also, Joe Biden has cankles. You heard it here first. Cankles up the wazooooo. There he is, wearing another suit, just to hide his cankles. Why doesn’t Biden ever wear kilts? Too much ice cream, that’s why. His kilt-wearing days ended when he passed a certain age…it will be full on suits from now on…and always in such odd colors.
What color was that again, and who do you think made that monstrosity? Was it navy or was it midnight blue? Was it Brooks Brothers or Armani? Did he and his son Beau make it themselves in their basement while watching Project Runway and eating someone else’s ice cream?
Really.
Puh-lease.
We just can’t stop talking about Joe Biden and his clothes!
*****
In some alternate universe, where men are judged on their clothes, and where no article can be written on them without 80% of it being devoted to their fashion sense, color choice, and commentary regarding their body, how their body fits into clothes, and what parts of their body they are trying to hide, this is a taste of what Joe Biden is getting today.
Think about it.
Every article you ever read about Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin is like this…”Why’d she wear that red suit again? What’s with the pantsuits? Why doesn’t she ever wear a skirt?”. And then Palin gets hit with, “What’s up with those boots? Why’s she always wearing a skirt? Why’d she wear someone’s logo on that parka?”.
And then maybe they write something substantive about something they allegedly said or did.
With men, like Joe Biden, the clothes are never mentioned. We never find out if his tie was robin’s egg blue, or just periwinkle. We never know if he’s wearing Hugo Boss or Bill Blass. We aren’t updated on what his weight is today.
How do any of us survive?

What’s on your mind this Thursday?
Is Hillary Clinton running for Governor of New York?
We’ve heard consistently from people we know from the Hillary for President campaign that they do not believe HRC will remain Secretary of State for Dr. Utopia’s full term. People we know have expected Clinton to step down at State sometime in 2010.
We’ve speculated here that Clinton should run for Governor of New York in 2010, since there is no way David Paterson can win election. We also don’t believe Andrew Cuomo is an impediment to Clinton running…and we don’t believe Rudy Giuliani will beat her.
When we were last in New York, in December 2008, for the “Conversation with Hillary Clinton” event hosted by America Ferrara, there were two things people talked about: how to stop HRH Caroline Kennedy’s power grab for Clinton’s Senate seat AND why Clinton wasn’t running for Governor of New York, since no one liked Paterson.
Our good friend Wess, who talks regularly with Clinton delegates and friends, insists Clinton will run for the Democrats’ nomination in 2012. Wess believes she will challenge Dr. Utopia, since his poll numbers will be abysmal by then. We believe — but admit it’s wishful thinking — that Dr. Utopia will announce he has Parkinson’s disease, or some other health condition, in 2011 and decline to run for a second term IF, and it’s an operative IF, he sees there’s no chance of him winning a second term. We believe Dr. Utopia would rather ride into the sunset as LBJ, to make millions, if not a billion, from his followers in his post-presidency, than be defeated in 2010 by Sarah Palin.
Wess, and other friends from the primary campaign, believe it’s going to be a Clinton v. Palin matchup in 2012. There are some who believe there was a deal made in 2008, whereby Dr. Utopia agreed with the Clintons to one term…and that HRC’s chance would come in 2012. After Dr. Utopia secured the nomination in June of 2008, there was a Clinton event in Chicago in mid-summer where someone very close to HRC got up and gave a speech thanking all of her Chicago volunteers and fundraisers…and he said, memorably, that Hillary Clinton would not be president in 2009…but that she would be president. Someday. He didn’t say if that was 2013 or if it was 2015. But he said she would be president.
Now, with any of this, you have to understand clearly that all of us adore Hillary Clinton…and we would do anything for her. We want to see her run for office again…we want to see her as Governor of New York…we want to see her as the first female Democratic presidential nominee…we want to see her as the first female President of the United States, where she will clean up Dr. Utopia’s considerable mess.
We would do absolutely anything for this woman…including putting ourselves through another grueling 24/7, months-long, general election campaign…be it in New York, or nationally.
So…when we read bits like this in the Weekly Standard, about rumors of Clinton leaving State to run for New York Governor, we cheer and get excited by have to recuse ourselves from serious discussion of the possibility, because we want it to happen too badly to comment clearly. People around us want this to happen too badly for us to see clearly. If it was announced she was doing this, we’d literally drop everything, leave Chicago, and head to New York to help her.
But, it is interesting rumors like this keep popping up. And that we keep hearing things like this in Clinton circles in Chicago. And that people who know HRC best continue to maintain that she WILL indeed be president.
Someday.
Did Al Queda try to assassinate Hillary Clinton in Kenya last month?
This is scary stuff…but there are reports security forces prevented a bombing in Nairobi, Kenya last month…where Al Queda wanted to bomb Hillary Clinton’s hotel and assassinate our Secretary of State.
Apparently, the plot was stopped at the very last moment.
When people wonder why we say Dick Cheney is right about national security..and when we say the current Administration is naive and dangerous when it comes to its stance on interrogating terrorists…this is what drives our thinking.
Molly-coddling people who want to kill us…people who want to assassinate our leaders…is just insane. Attacking the CIA, the way Eric Holder and Dr. Utopia love doing, will get us nowhere.
Who knows what allowed security forces to prevent the attack on Clinton…or what has allowed the CIA to prevent the destruction of Los Angeles, London, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, the Sears Tower, and the New York tunnels and aquaducts. And those are just the foiled plots WE KNOW ABOUT. Every day, the CIA, NSA, FBI, and other security forces act as the world’s greatest goalies…anticipating and preventing what must be countless thousands of attacks…and yet we have a president and attorney general who want to prosecute persecute those who keep us safe.
If dunking a bunch of Pakistani or Yemeni detainees in water for a while, or threatening to find their families and dunk them in water too, is what’s keeping Al Queda from successfully mounting suicide bombing and terrorist operations…then we say dunk, dunk, dunk away.
Because, Heaven forbid, if anything DOES happen on Dr. Utopia’s watch, he should be fully blamed for it…because he and Eric Holder are tying the hands of the goalies who are supposed to stop these strikes from getting through.
THANKFULLY, despite what Dr. Utopia and Holder have been doing, Al Queda was foiled again.
We can’t imagine a world without Hillary Clinton in it…and never want to.
Could Christy Mihos be the first non-royal Massachusetts Senator in 56 years?
Please chime in if you live in Massachusetts or know the state well…but it’s interesting that businessman Christy Mihos sure looks like he’s going to switch from running for Governor to running for Ted Kennedy’s old Senate seat…where he’s willing to spend $10 million of his own money, by some accounts, to take back that seat for the people of Massachusetts from the corpulent spiders of the Kennedy Family, who consider that “their seat”.
Can a Republican really win the royal “Kennedy Seat” in the Senate?
We don’t know…but it sure feels like the Republicans would take a GIANT STEP towards taking the Governor’s mansion from Deval Patrick if indeed Mihos left the Governor’s race. That would avoid a contentious GOP primary, if Republicans just rallied around healthcare executive Charles Baker now. Deval Patrick, if you remember, was David Axelrod’s original Dr. Utopia. The people of Massachusetts were sold Hope! and Change! long before Dr. Utopia came onto the national stage…and they have suffered the results the last several years.
Now, granted, the people of Massachusetts HAVE elected Ted Kennedy and John Kerry repeatedly. Despite the fact these two self-declared royals have consistently put their own egos and interests ahead of Massachusetts and the nation for their entire careers (and, in Ted Kennedy’s case, he actually murdered someone).
And yet, Massachusetts kept rewarding their bad behavior by re-installing them in the corridors of power again and again and again.
So, a defeat for Deval Patrick and a Republican taking “the Kennedy seat” would be stunning.
We have no idea how the White House and DNC would try to spin that.
It sure will be interesting to see what happens…and if indeed Christy Mihos decides to run for the Senate, as speculated.
Sarah Palin Does It Again — this time not on Facebook, but in the Wall Street Journal
Great Merciful Zeus, Palin’s smart. Once again, she underscores the fact that Dr. Utopia wants to give the federal government, controlled by liberal Democrats, control over life or death decisions.
Not doctors.
Not family members.
BUT DEMOCRATS IN WASHINGTON.
We hope every senior citizen reads Palin’s editorial and heeds her warning.
The Death Panels are real. They are very much part of Dr. Utopia’s Deathcare plan. They are the cause of much heartbreak and disaster in Great Britain, France, and Canada.
Death Panels have no business in this country. The federal government has no place in making end of life decisions for Americans.
Sarah Palin is, yet again, right on the money.
And perfectly timed to set the discussion before Dr. Utopia’s speech tomorrow…yet another ‘historic oration of historic importance” that will say little, clear up nothing, and ramble on for an hour as Dr. Utopia enjoys not only hearing his own voice, but making Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi pop up repeatedly like whack-a-moles behind him.
Ice cream-stealing, Botox-addicted, out-of-touch, crazy whack-a-moles.
UPDATE:
Here’s Senator DeMint on Greta talking about Palin’s editorial:
The Audacity of Nope – a Gayco production
This really surprised us today.
Gayco is a local theater company here in Boystown, based in The Center on Halsted. It’s our favorite gay-oriented theater group in town, but 90% of its staff are Kool-Aid drinkers, so we’ve avoided their productions the last year because we didn’t want to pay to see Dr. Utopia propaganda pieces. Back in 2007, they did a show called iHole that was funny…which included a dig at Dr. Utopia for refusing to support LGBTQ rights in anything but lip service (and reminding the audience this was an Illinois politician who had never marched in a pride parade, and never did a damn thing for gays, despite all his eloquent speechifying).
But, after Dr. Utopia became the Democrats’ nominee, Gayco worshipped him as “The Lightbringer”, along with almost everyone else here in Boystown. So, we found other groups to support and let Gayco fall off our radar. In the interest of full disclosure, we also ended a friendship with one of the actors, because this guy couldn’t get over the fact that we were (and remain) Democrats for McCain. To this day, this guy will still come up to us when we run into each other on Halsted…we try to be nice to him, and don’t even bring up Dr. Utopia or politics, but he just lashes out at us: “I can’t believe you supported McCain! I can’t believe you wore McCain shirts and recruited volunteers for him! I can’t believe you went to McCain events! I can’t believe you liked Sarah Palin!”.
Uh, there’s no past tense to that last part, mister. And once this actor gets in our face, we tell him that we might not start something with him, but we damn well will FINISH IT if he starts it with us. So, without fail, encounters with him end with us: (1) telling him how much we are looking forward to working for the Palin 2012 campaign and raising money for SarahPAC and (2) asking him what, exactly, Dr. Utopia has done for the LGBTQ community, what promises he has kept, and how all that Hope! and Change! is working out for everyone.
And the guy just stares at us, mumbles something about “I’m not going to get into all that with you”, and then saying something hateful about Republicans in general. He never, ever is able to defend what Dr. Utopia has done in the White House. A few months ago, he used to say, “Well, he’s only been in office six months”…but sometime around July, he stopped doing that. ”He’s only been in office nine months!” is pretty weak, when babies are conceived and born in that time. If a whole new life, an actual person, could be created…then Dr. Utopia could have kept a damn promise or two and done something worthwhile.
So…imagine our surprise to see the advertisement above for Gayco’s new production: The Audacity of Nope…which appears to skewer Dr. Utopia for his lies to the LGBTQ community.
Not that this, or anything, will ever convince gays to abandon the Democratic party. Democrats are identity-voters. If you are gay, you are a Democrat. That is the way people in Boystown think.
We were STUNNED when Cleve Jones was in town a few weeks ago and actually called Boystown out on this — for those of you who don’t know, Cleve Jones was one of Harvey Milk’s inner circle (played by Emile Hirsch in the movie Milk), who later became a prominent LGBTQ activist, and who originated the AIDS memorial quilt. Jones spoke at several venues in Chicago, including the Victory Gardens Theater and at Sidetracks, and he repeatedly told anyone who would listen that gays are foolish to automatically vote Democrat…since Democrats have been screwing the LGBTQ community over for decades. “What has the Democractic Party ever done for you? What have they done for us? All they do is lie,” pretty much sums up Cleve Jones’ take.
Cleve Jones is no fan of Dr. Utopia.
It’s nice to see the Kool-Aid wearing off over at Gayco, too.
They really are tremendously talented, and very cool people. We like them alot and miss the friendship of the actor former friend of ours. But, we just can’t be around Dr. Utopia’s followers and have discussions about him without calling him out on his lies, deceptions, and downright fraud. And, for some reason, even though these people know how we feel, they insist on talking about Dr. Utopia with us…which always ends with them failing to find any substantive defense of his behavior…so they degenerate into hateful diatribes about how bad Republicans are and how bad we are, as gay men, for backing McCain and supporting Sarah Palin…when we should be “good little Democrats” who always toe the party line without question.
Not anymore.
Not ever again.
And the DNC has Howard Dean, Donna Brazile, May 31st 2008, and Dr. Utopia to thank for that.
Count us in for Opening Night of “The Audacity of Nope”…we’re intensely curious how harsh Gayco will be to “The Lightbringer”, any criticism much deserved.
Could James Traficant really return to Congress?
Former Congressman and convicted felon James Traficant is out of prison after 7 years’ incarceration — and he seemingly, potentially, could be gearing up to take his old seat back in the House, representing the Youngstown, Ohio area.
When he was on trial in Cleveland back in 2001, we had the chance to sit in on a few days of courtroom proceedings. Traficant always dressed up in crazy suits, with his wig all askew, and made wild accusations during the trial. We remember the judge just rolling her eyes at him most of the time. At one point, the prosecutors started saying things like, “Your Honor, he’s doing it again”, to which she’d reply, “Just let him finish, we’re almost done”. All the while, Traficant invented all sorts of conspiracies against him, blaming everyone in the world for his problems…except himself for using government resources to remodel his home, and then lying about it.
Could Traficant really make it back to Congress? Stranger things have happened in Ohio…and he is not barred from holding federal office.
Happy Indoctrination Day! Tuesday Open Thread
How will you be celebrating Indoctrination Day today?
Today’s the day Dr. Utopia reaches into classrooms to touch the hearts and minds of young children everywhere. If you watch is speech, tell us what you thought of it here. What do you think of politicians speaking to children like this, in general?
Personally, we think it’s grossly inappropriate…if ANY adult wants to address children as a captive audience, and speak directly to them, parents need to be present to make sure the children understand what is going on and answer any questions that come up. The setting is too rife with potential for indoctrination, no matter how subtle. Small children, in particular, respond effectively to authority…and nothing could possibly more authoritarian than a political figure coming on a giant TV screen and telling a child what to do. Even if nothing insidious is said in that particular message, it primes the child to sit quietly and obey in the future, having established the precedent that this sort of thing is acceptable, and that this politician in particular is allowed to speak to them, tell them what to do, when their parents are nowhere in sight. We’ve seen enough public school teachers in action to know that a good many of them would not pull the plug on any future transmissions where a political speech indeed did cross the line into true, unalloyed indoctrination.
It’s a slippery slope…and today Dr. Utopia does damage we won’t be able to fully appreciate for a while.
This is why, just a few years ago, that Democrats launched investigations and demanded oversight and checks and balances when President George H. W. Bush gave a speech to students. Democrats audited the money spent on the speech and questioned the appropriateness of using classroom time to drop everything and listen to a politician speak directly to children without their parents present…so, in 1991, Democrats were against this enough to use Congressional committees to see that it didn’t happen again for a while…but in 2009, Democrats feel Dr. Utopia should be able to do as he pleases.
This is the root of the problem we have with the current incarnation of the Democratic Party. Just like with the caucus and primary fraud Dr. Utopia committed…just like all his overseas campaign contributions…just like all of his race-baiting, his misogyny, and every other rotten thing he does…Democrats have completely changed who they are for this one man. Dr. Utopia can do no wrong in Democrats’ eyes, even if that means Demcorats reverse long-held positions just to cover for him.
It’s a slippery slope.
Will Democrats ever rein Dr. Utopia’s ego in? If so, will that happen before moderate Democrats abandon the party altogether and complete that transition to unaffiliated, independent status that’s been under way since May 31st, 2008?
