We’ve heard consistently from people we know from the Hillary for President campaign that they do not believe HRC will remain Secretary of State for Dr. Utopia’s full term. People we know have expected Clinton to step down at State sometime in 2010.
We’ve speculated here that Clinton should run for Governor of New York in 2010, since there is no way David Paterson can win election. We also don’t believe Andrew Cuomo is an impediment to Clinton running…and we don’t believe Rudy Giuliani will beat her.
When we were last in New York, in December 2008, for the “Conversation with Hillary Clinton” event hosted by America Ferrara, there were two things people talked about: how to stop HRH Caroline Kennedy’s power grab for Clinton’s Senate seat AND why Clinton wasn’t running for Governor of New York, since no one liked Paterson.
Our good friend Wess, who talks regularly with Clinton delegates and friends, insists Clinton will run for the Democrats’ nomination in 2012. Wess believes she will challenge Dr. Utopia, since his poll numbers will be abysmal by then. We believe — but admit it’s wishful thinking — that Dr. Utopia will announce he has Parkinson’s disease, or some other health condition, in 2011 and decline to run for a second term IF, and it’s an operative IF, he sees there’s no chance of him winning a second term. We believe Dr. Utopia would rather ride into the sunset as LBJ, to make millions, if not a billion, from his followers in his post-presidency, than be defeated in 2010 by Sarah Palin.
Wess, and other friends from the primary campaign, believe it’s going to be a Clinton v. Palin matchup in 2012. There are some who believe there was a deal made in 2008, whereby Dr. Utopia agreed with the Clintons to one term…and that HRC’s chance would come in 2012. After Dr. Utopia secured the nomination in June of 2008, there was a Clinton event in Chicago in mid-summer where someone very close to HRC got up and gave a speech thanking all of her Chicago volunteers and fundraisers…and he said, memorably, that Hillary Clinton would not be president in 2009…but that she would be president. Someday. He didn’t say if that was 2013 or if it was 2015. But he said she would be president.
Now, with any of this, you have to understand clearly that all of us adore Hillary Clinton…and we would do anything for her. We want to see her run for office again…we want to see her as Governor of New York…we want to see her as the first female Democratic presidential nominee…we want to see her as the first female President of the United States, where she will clean up Dr. Utopia’s considerable mess.
We would do absolutely anything for this woman…including putting ourselves through another grueling 24/7, months-long, general election campaign…be it in New York, or nationally.
So…when we read bits like this in the Weekly Standard, about rumors of Clinton leaving State to run for New York Governor, we cheer and get excited by have to recuse ourselves from serious discussion of the possibility, because we want it to happen too badly to comment clearly. People around us want this to happen too badly for us to see clearly. If it was announced she was doing this, we’d literally drop everything, leave Chicago, and head to New York to help her.
But, it is interesting rumors like this keep popping up. And that we keep hearing things like this in Clinton circles in Chicago. And that people who know HRC best continue to maintain that she WILL indeed be president.
Someday.

OMG! I hope so. She would be soooo good.

Hillary Clinton still has big political guns. If she resigns as SOS(I’d say by 2011), that would be a huge blow to Obama. But still Obama would be wounded but not killed.
Obama WILL BE the democratic party nominee in 2012 NO MATTER WHAT. Just like Kennedy-Carter. The Democrats will never let their elected president down. And not with the media and the lefties racial sexists wakos in that party.
By 2011, Sarah Palin would have sold over 3 millions of her book and would have already announced her run for president. With that momemtum on her hands she will be on her way to be the first woman ever nominated for US president(by a major party).
Hillary cannot afford another presidential primary lost. That would be her end, plus her age is not helping her either!
If Hillary still have some intelligence, she would resign by mid 2010 and run for Governor of New York. If Hillary is still SOS by the end of 2010, Obama will be the Democrats nominee.
The nomination of Sarah Palin might bring two possibilities: Obama desperation replacing Biden for Hillary, to keep the historic mantra OR Sarah approaches Hillary to be her VP.
If nothing happens to Obama, I see a huge History in 2012 either with Hillary or Sarah.
September 9, 2009 at 5:39 pm
I can only hope that Mrs. Clinton would thumb her nose at Obama and resign her SOS position. If she truly plans to run for POTUS in 2012, I don’t know if she’ll run for governor. Shen she ran for Senate and won in NY – she kept her commitment to NY and served a full term and then some (unlike the inexperienced state rep from IL who never intended to truly be IL’s senator.)
I would have to believe that she will look at just how much Dr. U messes up and whether any Dem could get elected POTUS in 2012.
September 9, 2009 at 8:17 pm
Good grief, the mind reels at the thought of who he’d name to replace her. Scary as all hell.
September 9, 2009 at 10:10 pm
Odds are he would pick Susan Rice, his UN Ambassador.
September 10, 2009 at 8:57 am
That reminds me: Dr. Utopia will be chairing the UN Security Council…. Also, has anyone else heard that the UN is calling for a new global currency to replace the U.S. dollar?
September 9, 2009 at 6:02 pm
In this article, there is the mention of a possible Clinton vs Palin match-up. I would hate that scenario! I could vote for Hillary in almost any match-up that I can think of, but if it’s against Palin, this Democrat leans toward Palin.
If this match-up were to occur, I would be happy with either of the two winning the White House, even though their political philosophies are different. I would hate to see Democrats tearing Palin down in order to elect Hillary. On the other hand, maybe we would actually have one of the first truly civil campaigns for the presidency in my lifetime with an abscence of character assassinations.
If only Hillary had been elected president in 2007, I would not have to make such a gut wrenching choice.
September 9, 2009 at 6:19 pm
I’m “leaning” with you nomoobama. You betcha, Palin is terrific. I’m disappointed that HC threw in with this lot. A lot of the present leaders in the dem party will have to be eliminated before I would consider supporting the nominee, and that includes HC.
September 9, 2009 at 7:19 pm
I am with you.
September 9, 2009 at 6:28 pm
I would love to see HRC Prez and SP Vice P.So Hiiary takes the first 8 years and then Sarah the next 8 years. Hillary being the older, Sarah the younger.I can dream, can’t I!!
September 9, 2009 at 8:24 pm
I would vote for Hillary over Sarah. Hillary has so much more experience, plus my core beliefs are more in line with hers. While it doesn’t thrill me that Hillary is working for Obama, she is doing an outstanding job and I feel safer knowing there’s at least one intelligent adult in that administration. I especially like the way she meets with women’s groups in each of the countries she visits, even in dangerous places such as the refugee camp in Goma.
And I have to admit, it bothers me that Sarah resigned as Governor of Alaska. I wish she would take some kind of job– perhaps working for a nonprofit group, or in a think tank, or even as a talk show host. Yeah, it’s great that she’s speaking out on the issues and she is very effective, but I want to see something more from her.
September 9, 2009 at 10:20 pm
The best thing Sarah did was resign. She is now able to raise money for any campaign she sees fit without ethics violations and can respond to attacks to her person and family without the weight of the governership on her. Also, it’s good that she’s not attached to any type of think tank. And heaven forbid a talk show–that’s what’s wrong with our politicans today. She is now able to fully commit herself to the tasks at hand and fill in the gaps where she was missing before. She’s been out of office less than six months and is becoming more of a force to be dealt with. Go Sarah!!
September 9, 2009 at 10:50 pm
Hmmm. A few friends are saying the same, and were HUGE HRC supporters and were hardcore Dems (now Dims.). We all adore HRC, however we are in full NOT even remotely adoring the Dims. mode these days.
September 10, 2009 at 9:35 am
Are you crazy? Then we would have another scenario of our government in turmoil with electing someone with little experience. Whoever wins the next time has to hit the ground running. There is only ONE candidate with the depth and breadth of experience, as well as respect around the world and that person is Hillary Clinton. It isn’t even a fair fight! Let’s face facts, Hillary knows more about Foreign Affairs, she knows more about diplomacy, she knows more about education, healthcare, taxes, the poor, women’s issues and how to get the government to work for the people. I’ll take Hillary’s 175 IQ and her years of experience acting as an advocate for all of us any day of the week!
September 10, 2009 at 12:26 pm
You said it! No offense but Sarah is not even in the same galaxy as Hillary–on any level any of us can think of! We got ourselves into this mess by electing someone with little or no experience, and if we do it again then we get what we deserve! Alaska’s state budget is less than almost all of our large city budgets on the mainland. She is not ready and does not have the knowledge base to get done what needs to be done, and quickly.
September 9, 2009 at 6:13 pm
I do not think she will run in 2012 — I think she would wait — until 2016. Did anyone read Sarah’s postings today????
September 9, 2009 at 6:14 pm
Running for Governor of NYS would be a good career move for her and Gov. Patterson is ineffective. She is also wise to get out of the Obama Administration and not have her name tarnished by their decisions.
I heard Guiliani is also considering running on the Republican side. It could be an interesting race.
If Hillary were able to solve some of the long standing problems in New York, then it would help in running for president. The common wisdom is to get executive experience, because it makes you a more effective president.
I wish her the best.
September 9, 2009 at 6:23 pm
There are three problems with the scenario of running for Governor of NY.
1) The current african american governor would like to run again for re-election and he has already used the race card against those who say he is doing a lousy job. Hillary may find herself being accused of being a racist all over again, with some people, buying into it.
2) If she were to become governor, and the state of New York’s economy doesn’t improve, and New Yorkers blame Hillary for it, then her chances of getting the Democratic nomination in 2016 would probably be nil.
3) When 2015 rolls around, Hillary will already be 68 years old. I don’t think that her age is going to be looked at favorably.
I wish her the best, too.
September 9, 2009 at 7:13 pm
The “race card” ploy you mention might be effective in NYC, but she would stomp him in upstate. The key in NY politics is Western New York, that’s why she always spent so much time there when running for the Senate.
September 10, 2009 at 11:40 am
I have heard many people think Gov. Patterson is ineffective as governor, not because of RACE but because he is, I think, legally blind. He has trouble reading and that has been a detriment to him in this job. I thought this information was definitely “out there” for all to know. His being legally blind is not a secret and I believe it is no secret that there are complaints against him because of this. P.S. I guess I should put a disclaimer here that what I have just said is not something against Americans with Disabilities. I am not against that. But I have read that Gov. Paterson’s inability to read and read a lot of paperwork which this job entails has given him a not so favorable rating in his job.
September 11, 2009 at 12:04 am
We have a Congress chalk full of individuals who are sighted but have such a myopic perspective and who refuse to read important bills that will spend taxpayer dollars to make them happen.
September 9, 2009 at 6:39 pm
HB,i don’t think Dr.Utopia is going to run in 2012,the way things are going for him.
I just wish there is going to be any country left.
No matter what she decides to do i wish her the best.
September 9, 2009 at 6:40 pm
I agree with Trudy from upthread…
In a perfect world, I see a third party (Lady) Liberty Party rising up as an alternative to the same old same old from the Dims and Republicans. Their first ticket in 2012? HRClinton/Palin…thumbing their perfect noses at the old boys clubs that threw them under their respective former parties’ buses.
I don’t know much of NY state politics, other than Paterson drew a mutual ‘Obama and Me’ race card offensively a few months ago. BUT any possible run for any office that gets HRC out from under the Dr. Utopia thumb (and back into ‘action’ …look how the Chi-Town thugs have handcuffed Hillary as SOS!!!) Is wonderful, glorious, happy news.
And btw, HillBuzz guys…love that you select attractive photos of HRC (and Sarah). Ever see the mugshots (of all but Obama) that HuffPo puts up?
September 9, 2009 at 6:57 pm
I posted this video that I came across earlier today on the bitterpoliticz blog. I am starting to wonder if we, as Americans, are all being played by the Republicans and the Democrats. Are they pretty much one and the same regardless of what they call themselves? I think that the powers that be try to make it look like we have clear choices, but in reality the candidates for each party answer to one and the same. They are really a false choice. I am becoming more in tune with a libertarian philosophy, and I think it has a lot to do with my distrust of the Democratic and Republican party. Sarah Palin seems to be more independent than Republican. Hillary may be tied just a little to closely to the Democratic party for me to support her against Sarah Palin.
Here’s the video. Aaron Russo, I found out today was a libertarian, so it’s no surprise to me that I found myself receptive to what he had to say.
September 9, 2009 at 8:44 pm
Wow. Thanks for posting, will have to delve into this. Everything I’ve ever heard about Aaron Russo – primarily from friends and family in the movie business – is that he was extremely intelligent and fiercely patriotic. Lots more of him available via Google.
September 9, 2009 at 7:07 pm
I know all about New York politics—Hillary would win easily. Patterson is the Gerald Ford of New York, unelected. At least he didn’t pardon Spitzer!
September 9, 2009 at 7:29 pm
I think it’s a bit of an overstatement to say that Dems and Repubs are the same, or even roughly so. Both are fiscally irresponsible “something for nothing” parties and both are anti-libertarian, but the Dems are definitely socialist and the Repubs are definitely capitalist. Though if you want to see why the Repubs are capitalists in the wrong way, this article will interest you:
http://nationalaffairs.com/publications/detail/capitalism-after-the-crisis
Getting back to the HB article, I could never understand why Hillary accepted a position in the BO administration.
September 10, 2009 at 9:00 am
I agree with HillBuzz and others that HRC wanted to get away from the Senate, given the bad bills she knew the uber-libs would proffer, but I still think she has ulterior motives as yet unbeknownst to us. We’ll
see, I suppose.
September 9, 2009 at 6:52 pm
I don’t believe Barry will retire.
Where there’s an ACORN, there’s a way.
September 9, 2009 at 7:04 pm
She’s being totally wasted in Bammy’s State Dept. She would be a much better governor. I hope she runs.

BORN IN THE USA?
Shocker! Judge orders trial on eligibility issue
Arguments planned Jan. 11 for major Obama challenge

Is this the footprint of baby Barack Obama?
A California judge today tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, for a case that challenges Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president based on questions over his qualifications under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.
If the case actually goes to arguments before U.S. District Judge David Carter, it will be the first time the merits of the dispute have been argued in open court, according to one of the attorneys working on the issue.
In a highly anticipated hearing today before Carter, several motions were heard, including a resolution to long-standing questions about whether attorney Orly Taitz properly served notice on the defendants, which she had.
In a second ruling, Carter ordered that attorney Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation can be added to the case to represent plaintiffs Wiley Drake and Markham Robinson, who had been removed by an earlier court order. Drake, the vice presidential candidate for the American Independent Party, and Robinson, the party’s chairman, also were restored to the case.
Want to know for certain where Obama was born? Demand the truth by joining the petition campaign to make President Obama reveal his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate!
But the judge did not immediately rule on Taitz’ motion to be granted discovery – that is the right to see the president’s still-concealed records. Nor did Carter rule immediately on a motion to dismiss the case, submitted by the U.S. government, following discussion over Taitz’ challenge to the work of a magistrate in the case.
The judge did comment that if there are legitimate constitutional questions regarding Obama’s eligibility, they need to be addressed and resolved.
Carter ordered a hearing Oct. 5 on the motion to dismiss and ordered arguments submitted on the issue of discovery.
If the case survives that challenge, a pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 11 and the trial for two weeks later.
The case would be the first time, according to Kreep, that the actual merits of the dispute will have been heard in open court. A multitude of such disputes have been rejected out of hand by various state and federal courts. Even the U.S. Supreme Court repeatedly has rejected urgent appeals to hear the evidence.
The suit alleges Obama is actually a citizen of Indonesia and “possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the president of the United States of America and the commander-in-chief.”

(P.S. I think Judge Carter was appointed by Bill Clinton.)
September 9, 2009 at 7:15 pm
October 5 is my birthday. Could be the first good one I’ve had in four years, since my fiftieth.
September 9, 2009 at 10:05 pm
And you probably don’t appreciate how young you still are.
September 9, 2009 at 7:20 pm
I don’t think she’ll leave State just yet. Why? Because if she intends to challenge 0bummer in 2012 she can’t have critics pointing out that she quit as SOS just within a year of the job.
I suspect she will probably leave the State Dept by late 2010 or mid 2011. She needs to stay long enough to show that she’s not a quitter and that she did try to work with Bambi’s admin but not long enough that it stains her. She’ll have to choose the strategically opportune moment.
Also, let’s not forget that with Obama’s gang of anti-Americans it’s essential that we have a REAL American in charge of the State Department with her people being the eyes and ears of anything going on.
September 10, 2009 at 12:33 pm
You are so correct, True Democrat! We absolutely NEED her in this position and I think she knows that. She is the only legit member of that cabinet, who doesn’t have her own self interest in the forefront. She is doing this because she knew our reputation around the world has been severely damaged and she is the only one who can fix it.
September 9, 2009 at 7:37 pm
Hmmmm….From GOP LIST 08
Hillary’s to do list….
Foreign Policy Exp. – Check
Governing a state (NY?) – Check
Continue to develop career independent of Bill – Check
Repay 08 Debt/keep surplus & network – Check
Allow Barry to fall flat on face – Check
Yep!….Looks promising
September 9, 2009 at 7:44 pm
She can’t leave the State Dept until this birth certificate issue is settled once and for all.
I have always felt that she took the SOS job because two deals were made.
1. with Obama. Though I don’t think he knew her intentions.
2. with someone who will prove Obama is not eligible.
If a conspiracy is shown then Obama, Biden and Pelosi can be charged with Fraud. Byrd is ineligible for obvious reasons. That would leave Hillary.
She wouldn’t even need to run. She could complete this term and run in 2012. Sarah can have 2016.
Life would be good!!!
September 9, 2009 at 7:51 pm
If Hillary made deals or has access to damaging info on Obama I sure wish she would come forward with it before the country collapses.
September 9, 2009 at 8:43 pm
My gut tells me that the Clintons strongly suspect Obama is damaged goods because of the eligibility issue or maybe for some other reason, yet they have no proof. If they’d had it, they would have brought it out last year. So I’m guessing that they’re waiting for someone else to produce the documents, whatever they may be. I don’t necessarily believe that Obama was born in Kenya, but he’s hiding SOMETHING about his past. Why else would he spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees?
At any rate, Hillary is politically safer at State than she would have been if she’d remained in the Senate. There isn’t a Democrat in the Senate who could be elected POTUS now. They’ve sacrificed their own futures in supporting Dr. Utopia’s socialist nightmare. Even though technically Hillary works for Obama while the Senators do not, her hands are a lot cleaner than theirs. She was smart to get out of the Senate when she did.
September 9, 2009 at 10:05 pm
Jen -
We’re tired of people saying Clinton “works for Obama”.
Hillary Clinton works for the American people.
And she’s doing a damn fine job at it.
Thank you very much.
September 10, 2009 at 12:11 pm
You are so right! I happen to know on good authority that they heard the same things we did about the birth certificate but could not prove it either. They were in the same boat. No one is going to make a claim without actual proof–that would be political suicide! She was smart to “live to fight another day” and not piss off the Democratic base. As for taking her SOS job under Obama–I too am sick of people saying they have lost respect for her because she did that. It is because she did that I HAVE MORE RESPECT for her. She put her feelings aside to do what was best for our country. She knew our name was “mud” around the world and she knew she was probably the only one who could get us back on track. With Hillary, it has always been and will always be about what is best for America–not her own self interests!
September 9, 2009 at 8:24 pm
I agree CO Mom. Until proven otherwise, I will always believe that Hillary didn’t even vote for BO, nor did Bill or Chelsea or HRC’s brother, etc. She KNOWS he’s a Chicago thug pol and that his trained ACORN henchmen cheated at the caucuses. Her campaign filed a complaint in NV while I was living there. It went ignored. And were she to have pushed the issue, she’d have been summarily dismissed, as we PUMAs were, as bitter, old byotches, sore losers, etc., by the Bros before Hos gang, et al.
The DNC had its–its!–agenda, HRC and the MAJORITY of Dems (because Hill did win the popular vote) be damned. They were gonna ram it down our throats and we could just STFU–RAAACISTS that we are….
I believe Hillary has as yet unknown (to us) ulterior motives for taking the SOS slot. And I’ve always imagined the same scenario: disqualified, disqualified, disqualified, HILLARY.
That said, I loathe both major parties with a passion. If the aforementioned scenario does not come to pass, I don’t know that I’d vote for Hill if she doesn’t run as an Independent. I’d lean toward the untainted (by entrenched association with party politics) Sarah Palin. I believe that should she run, she’ll do so as an Indy.
If Hill doesn’t become prez by default or run again, I’d like to see a Sarah Palin/Ron Paul ticket. (If, btw, Gingrich were to run with Sarah, I’d be hard-pressed to vote for her. I’d like to think she’d, as I said, run as an Indy and choose an Indy VP.)
September 9, 2009 at 9:45 pm
Oh I would like to see the
Disqualified, Disqualified, Disqualified, Hillary scenario.
They I would love to see her “reach across the aisle” to help heal this country from the divisiveness of Obama’s administration and pick Sarah Palin for VP.
That would be the dream!!!
September 9, 2009 at 10:09 pm
Garlic,
HRC wanted out of the Senate so she would not be tied to any of the crazy things they wanted to push through…stimulus, cap n’ trade, this terrible take on healthcare. She did not want to have to vote for this stuff. It’s that simple. State was a great place to go to not have anything to do with the domestic agenda. It was a smart, smart move.
The reason McCain/Palin did not win was becuase Republicans sat at home and did not vote. McCain was not “Republican” enough for them. We don’t know what Ron Paul would bring to a ticket for Palin. He’s not “Republican” enough for a lot of people either. Though, after 4 years of Dr. Utopia, we doubt many Republicans would be stupid enough to sit home a second time.
We want Palin/Steele for 2012. Not saying it will happen, but it’s what we want.
September 9, 2009 at 11:13 pm
Unfortunately, as much as I LOVE Hillary Clinton, I think she is really going to have a hard time running for Prez in 2012 given the particular climate for Dems and also that fact that Dr. U filled his administration with a number of Clinton “retreads.” She would make a great governor and who knows what plans the Heavens have for her and I think she has her own very carefully calculated reason for taking the SOS job. I agree giving up her Senate seat was very smart as she will not be tied to all the crap going on in Congress.
As for Sarah, I am wishing her the best and I really think she is up to the challenge. Michael Steele, not so much. He has his moments, but he has really dropped the leadership ball on too many occasions. He’s just too inconsistent. And, said to say, black men all across this country will be punished for the misdeeds of the country’s current commander in chief–and Van Jones, Deval Patrick, Charlie Rangel……..
September 10, 2009 at 9:07 am
HB: I’d personally go so far as to say that not only Repubs who viewed McCain as a RINO caused us to get stuck w/Utopia but that supporters of Ron Paul also sat out the election.
Tripping round YouTube and the Internet to the extent that I do–not to mention listening to Coast to Coast AM every night–I believe there’s an ever-burgeoning movement to elect leaders who are aware of such realities as the NWO and the need to disempower the Fed Reserve and who are not deeply tied to party politics.
By 2012, I predict the aforementioned group of voters will be larger than either of the two major parties, making a Palin/Paul ticket not only desirable but viable.
We shall see…
September 10, 2009 at 12:53 pm
Republicans stayed home because McCain voted for TARP. Period. Conservatives were *pissed* at Bush and Congress and McCain could have easily ridden that wave into the White House. Voting for it was a major stab in the back from the man who had gotten the nomination because of years of pork free service to his country. That’s the story all Democrats are missing. The TEA party movement is much much bigger in the hearts of Americans than the current crop of “Representatives” know. No fiscal conservative will be sitting out 2010 and 2012. A new leader will be in place to run for our interests. Take heed.
September 9, 2009 at 10:11 pm
Colorado Mom,
That is a wonderful, wonderful thought to fall asleep to…it won’t happen…it’s like something from a Tom Clancy novel… but oh is it ever marvelous.
September 9, 2009 at 11:03 pm
Sweet dreams!!
September 9, 2009 at 8:25 pm
Time to get an open thread up on BO’s “magnificent” speech.
September 9, 2009 at 8:27 pm
Ah, did you also see Victoria Kennedy mouth that word to Mrs. Utopia?
September 9, 2009 at 8:37 pm
Sorry I missed that, but I can’t say the speech held my rapt attention. I mean, I listened to the whole thing, but watching the whole thing too is asking too much of me.
September 9, 2009 at 8:47 pm
I didn’t watch. My day was stressful enough, the last thing I need is to listen to Dr. Utopia’s drivel. So I did some fabric painting and listened to Pat Benatar.
September 9, 2009 at 8:35 pm
I strongly belief there were some agreement back in 2008, either for him to run one term and she in 2012, or something like that. but I don’t like the idea of her running for Governor on NY, I’m from NY and would love to have her as my Governor, but I rather have her as my President.
September 9, 2009 at 11:40 pm
I think I need to go to bed, but in my mind, I keep hearing the song “Anthem” from the musical “Chess”. History shows us that those in power for a very long time, become greedy and corrupt. They forget their roots, their reason and their remembrances of what is like to love the land and the country to which they were born. They have forgotten to arise each day and count their blessings that they were born in the greatest nation of free men in the history of the world. And that this gift is theirs and our responsibility to maintain.
It saddens me greatly when I see so much division in our nation, but sometimes “the strongest steel is forged in the hottest fire” and maybe that is what we are doing now, withstanding this inferno of chaos and corruption so that we can forge ahead through the tunnel into an even better future. Only time will tell, but I will not lose hope, nor will I give up. We, the People are this country, not the politicians in our government.
September 10, 2009 at 9:45 am
This made me cry with my coffee this morning, MG. Spectacular song, and Grobin becomes a more mature and meaningful singer every day.
Thank you, I’m inspired today.
((also going to steal this for facebook today))

thanks….I love that song, and when I found Josh Groban singing it, I think it was a sign from above.

Obama did lie tonight, Illegal immigrants will be covered and tax payers will have to pay for them.
Also he lied about his plan saying what people wanted to hear rather than saying what the bill will do.
September 10, 2009 at 8:42 am
Rae, AMEN! He is the biggest liar I have ever seen. And I am so sick and tired of looking at him and his “beautiful” wife.

Hillbuzzers,
Watch Glenn Beck tonight on Fox News. He has an undercover video that seriously exposes ACORN! He is talking about it now on his radio program and will show the video from ACORN’s Baltimore office this evening…

One quick note to add – parts of the video are being played on Fox News this morning and can be viewed is at:

Keparker I have been watching this.Do you think the main stream media will touch this? This should be enough to out rage all Americans “IF” they will show it.Kudos to Mr.Wilson for standing up to the liar.Every thing he says is a lie so what’s the big deal? Finally truth!

Serena,
I don’t know if the MSM will touch this – I am hoping that it will blow up to something they can’t ignore… i.e., Rev. Wright. As for Representative Wilson, I couldn’t have been prouder of him – if only more members of Congress had the bravery to call this President out we would be a bit better off.

OMG, I wish it were true!!! If/when she leaves this administration, his house of phony cards will come tumbling down.
Oh how I wish she would move here and be our governor in Illinois!!! Maybe if Hillbuzz and some of us local people got together and begged and pleaded, she would consider it (just kidding but it’s a great idea, don’t you think?!!!)

Now THAT would be awesome!

Obama will not be able to run for a second term and he knows it! Many states have recently passed laws requiring Presidential candidates to show their “long form birth certificate”. He knows he cannot do that. He will come up with some excuse or illness as to why he will not run again. Mark my words!
September 10, 2009 at 10:21 am
Interesting, did not know this. Do you know which states? Are they “red” states only? I am curious. Of course, he will find a way around it and stall and stall for 4 years like he is doing now. By the time the issue comes up where he is forced to show any documents, his presidency will be over!!!
September 10, 2009 at 12:16 pm
He won’t be able to stall. In order for his name to even go on the ballot he will have to provide the long form birth certificate. I believe we are up to about 6 states, but many are significant ones. Besides, he won’t be able to hide the media coverage as to why he would not be allowed on the ballot in those states. He won’t run again—trust me! He is done after this time. There will be some sort of excuse made to cover for the real reason why he won’t run.

I’d like to see her do this, clean up the mess Patterson has made, and show the people of this country that she knows how to lead …. unlike our current President. Good move on her part.

Okay, I probably have too much time on my hands. I googled “world predictions 2009″ and came upon the website http://worldpsychic.org
The guy is from Alabama. Here are a couple of predictions:
Prediction #5: I do not see ‘Either’ John McCain or Barack Obama as the President of the US in 2010! – (That means that one or the other will die while in office and/or the Vice-President will be the Acting President at that time…..I see a group of powerful people behind the scenes preparing for this event in 2008 – why do you think both camps have failed to reveal their VP choice so late in their campaigns?)
Prediction #31: I feel that we will have 2 female candidates running for the Presidential office in 2012, one being black (Michelle Obama) and one being white (Hillary)…the mirror of what we have now…this may be the only chance to heal our broken country at that time.
I have read other predictions similar to this. Bizarro.

I really like the ring she is wearing in the photo……beautiful!
September 11, 2009 at 1:45 pm
MO running for President! YIKES!!! Time to move to Canada…
Hillary’s ring, that doesn’t look like a wedding ring, does it? I wonder why not…
September 23, 2009 at 9:31 pm
Think!!! There is absolutely NO reason she would do this….she just started her new job as SoS, she’s not going to leave this after just a year, it is a more important and presitgious job than Gov of NY because she is on the world stage AND she is doing wonderful things as SoS by setting international policy. If she really wanted to run for Prez in 2012, she would have stayed in the Senate, yes – then maybe run for Gov – but otherwise it makes no sense. She has already proven that she is a loyal democrat, she won’t run against an incumbent.
