Last night, FOX ran a special on America’s textbook industry — illustrating how propaganda driven it is, and how poorly it presents actual history.
In essence, the special talked about how the “PC vocabulary police” took over the industry in the 80s and 90s, creating a whole list of words and images that are forbidden from use in textbooks (such as gender-specific words like waiter or waitress (they prefer the use of “waitron” instead) and gender-specific images like women cooking or men fixing cars (while reverse-gender images are encouraged, such as men cooking and women fixing cars).
Islam is specifically PROMOTED, with much effort to downplay terrorist acts committed by Muslims and heavy propaganda used to convince children that Muslims worldwide are just misunderstood Care Bears, looking for nothing more than hugs, all that suicide bomber, plane hijacking, “Death to America!” stuff just a figment of our collective imagination.
The textbooks operate under the assumption that “diversity” means talking about white people as little as possible, while icon-toppling historical figures such as Christopher Columbus, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and other “dead white males” so that the likes of Spike Lee, Jesse Jackson, and, now, Dr. Utopia can have large sections of textbooks devoted to them.
This is the exact same lunacy that’s afflicted Europe the last 20 years — where countries like France, Great Britain, and the Netherlands have glorified Islam to the point of dhimmihood, so that large parts of London, in particular, are now governed by Shari’a law. Dutch and French citizens now live in terror of doing something, anything, that will offend recent Muslim immigrants…lest any of them end up like those who’ve been beheaded in recent years, in WESTERN EUROPE, by Islamists who find affronts to Muhammad in just about everything.
Europe is a weak, crippled, pathetic continent where once mighty societies once stood. It sure doesn’t seem like a coincidence the devolution of Europe coincides perfectly with its catering to all of this PC, pretend everything’s rosey, insist Muslims are Care Bears crap.
Textbook authors literally re-write history to paint Muslims, in particular, in PC-better light…where is the push for this really coming from, and how many people bet it’s the Al-Sayud family in Riyadh…which has spent billions over the last 20-30 years to spread wahabbism throughout the world by any means necessary.
Taking this textbook special in light of Gordon Brown’s push to release the Lockerbie bomber in exchange for Libyan oil sure makes us believe the Muslim members of OPEC have extorted the West to subversively engineer this pro-Muslim PR campaign in exchange for feeding our collective addiction to MidEast crude.
“No oil for you unless you say nicer things about us to your children!”
“No gas for your many cars unless you elect president who will bow to our king and prostrate himself to kiss his bejeweled hand!”
“No peace unless you put us upon pedestal to show what dhimmis you all now are!”
The PC-police have ruled with iron hands long enough. Dr. Utopia’s push to indoctrinate school children into “his Light” on September 8th should be a wakeup call to parents to pay more attention to what their children are being taught in school 8 hours a day, every day, by the government. All those school boards are elected, people. Currently, mostly liberals attend school board meetings…so those school boards tend to be loony liberals of the leftist William Ayers mold.
If moderates and conservatives mounted a years-long effort to take back our schools and install boards who’d fight the Islamization of our curriculums and the re-writing of history in PC-terms, then maybe we can push back against these Alinsky/ACORN radicals before they take permanent hold of young minds and send America down the tubes alongside Europe.

Hillbuzz, I think you should know that you are driving a lot of your former readers away with posts like this.
September 6, 2009 at 6:20 pm
I’m guessing you didn’t watch this special, and that you maybe have a pre-disposition against Fox.
That’s OK, you’re entitled to believe what you want. I, for example, refuse to watch MSNBC or CNN, and will only watch ABC, CBS, or NBC for football and never for news.
Of course, I got to that point by actually watching those channels for about 10 years of my life.
So maybe you should give Fox a chance?
Anyway, my mother is an expert on textbooks. When I was in Kindergarten, she made the decision to start home schooling me in first grade because the school I was attending had a very bad reputation about the first grade teacher.
After that, she kept home schooling me through 6th grade, and also decided to home school my brother and sister.
My mom has done more research on school curriculum and learning patterns than anybody I know. A former teacher, who worked for my parents shortly after resigning from her school (due to frustrations over the administration) told mom she knew more about teaching than anyone in the entire county’s education system.
If you had done the same level of research into curriculums, you would probably be flabbergasted, appalled, and shocked at how much power and influence is being exerted over the education system by special interest groups via textbooks.
Here’s just one book to get you started. It’s like $5 on Amazon, there’s no reason to not buy it:
http://www.amazon.com/Language-Police-Pressure-Restrict-Students/dp/0375414827
(mom has dozens of books like this. Her educational books could fill a library)
It really doesn’t take a lot of reflection to understand how this happens.
There are only a handful of companies that produce textbooks. These textbooks are used all over the country, but it’s important that the textbook editors produce a product that caters to the largest population bases. Where are the largest populations of school-aged children? New York, California, Texas.
You might imagine that a textbook chosen by a California educational board might not be the desired tome for the education board in North Dakota, but the rest of the country is stuck with whatever those three states demand.
Also, there is wide evidence of portions of text books — particularly history books — being ghost written by radical authors.
September 6, 2009 at 6:24 pm
Eric,
We’d LOVE to hear more from your mom. If ever she wants to express her opinons on education, she is always welcome to write in. That textbook special was eye-opening.
We mentioned months ago our experience doing a study in Chicago public schools. We were shocked to see framed photos of Malcolm X and Che up on the walls, pictures of black panther members on bulletin boards, and all the crazy revisionist history nonsense.
It was STUNNING.
And this is where Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education, got his start.
September 6, 2009 at 7:55 pm
She is an extraordinarily busy woman, and also not someone who generally “gets involved”. This has always been interesting to me because she’s a certifiable genius (160 I.Q., graduated magna cum laude from the #11 business school [at the time] while working full-time to pay for college), with a tremendous mastery of the English language, AND she is passionate about politics.
I’ve tried to get her to start by writing her Senators, but even that is not something she seems interested in doing.
I’m not sure why, although I do know that about 10 years ago, when the state was trying to take back the land upon which my parents’ business is located (and a legal battle ensued), my parents business was audited for three years in a row.
I can’t help but wonder if that is always in the back of my parents’ minds, but isn’t something they wish to discuss. They have virtually their entire lives invested in their business right now and maybe they just don’t want to risk “making enemies” in Congress — just in case.
It’s sort of understandable. I’ve thought about starting my own blog or some other type of website specifically dedicated to the czars, but frankly, I’m worried about the potential impact to my business. I’m not so much worried about the government as I am about the cadre of Obobbleheads who would come after me. Since I own a web design business, they could launch attacks against my site or the sites of my clients, or try contacting my clients to disparage me, if they found out who I was.
Being in the industry, I know how easy it is to do that. Yes, I could protect myself with enough layers, but the cost to do so would be pretty high.
It just makes me appreciate what you guys do here at Hillbuzz all the more.
September 6, 2009 at 9:49 am
How so, littleisis? They are only reporting the truth.
September 6, 2009 at 9:59 am
This website is more and more becoming an echo chamber for wingbat conservatives. I still love it, but I used to love it more.
I don’t think I’ve seen an actual substantive post that didn’t have something to do with demonizing liberals, calling Bam a “socialist” (falls over laughing)or spouting some nuttery about how ACORN is taking over the world in months.
There has been nothing about Health Care, nothing about the continuation of Bush’s wiretapping policies and torture, nothing about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Nothing.
Once upon a time, this website was wonderful. Now this morning’s post is about how… er
I’m sorry, but I just had to say something.
September 6, 2009 at 10:38 am
Actually, Obama has been a member of the Democratic Socialists Party since ‘95.
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2008/10/archives_prove_obama_was_a_new.html
As for Europe…how do you explain what’s happening in France?
Let’s talk PC and how it can distort the story – Why is it that Sweden has the largest cases of rape in Europe?
In this article, ” Amnesty blames “deeply rooted patriarchal gender norms” of Swedish family life and sexual relationships as a “major societal flaw” and a reason for the continued prevalence of violence against women in Sweden.
http://www.thelocal.se/19124/20090428/
However, in this article…
http://fjordman.blogspot.com/2005/12/immigrant-rape-wave-in-sweden.html
“According to a new study from the Crime Prevention Council, Brå, it is four times more likely that a known rapist is born abroad, compared to persons born in Sweden. Resident aliens from Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia dominate the group of rape suspects. According to these statistics, almost half of all perpetrators are immigrants.”
You don’t hear about this because they are being done by muslim immigrants.
You should do some research before you come here and start slamming this website.
September 6, 2009 at 11:22 am
Isis,
We aren’t going to censor ourselves for you, or for anyone else. You are deluded if you ever thought we were liberals. We have always been moderates, and have always said that liberals are dangerous to this country. Liberals are who prevented Hillary Clinton from being president. Liberals are the thugs who gamed the caucuses. Liberals are the ones pushing this PIC agenda.
Dr. Utopia is a socialist, or much worse. We have been saying that since we started this site back in February 2008. Where have you been?
Nothing about Health Care? Where have you been? We talk about healthcare every damn day — and how what the liberals are doing in forcing through this bad bill is wrong. The liberals do not really want to provide healthcare for all — they want to take over 1/6 of the US economy to further another agenda, one that has nothing to do with healthcare ultimately.
Bush’s wiretapping and interrogation procedures spared many American lives…and prevented the destruction of Los Angeles and London. We talk about this all the time, too…in posts where we’ve said that Bush was a better president than Dr. Utopia and that DICK CHENEY IS RIGHT, that Dr. Utopia is endangering Americans by going after the CIA and those who have kept us safe.
Where have you been? We’ve said these things from the beginning of Utopia’s administration.
We don’t talk about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan much, because there are 24 hours in a day and it’s hard enough to focus on what we get around to talking about. We are not CNN or the BBC and do not have a staff of thousands to cover everything. Perhaps you are under another delusion about this — but we also have not talked about armadillos or salsa or Paraguay in a while. We haven’t talked about buttons much, either, or whatever happened to Olivia De Havilland.
We are sure you can find information on Iraq and Afghanistan on an Iraq and Afghanistan focused site. Our focus is on how we see the world and news and politics from a moderate Democrats’ point of view.
If you have a problem with the fact that moderate Democrats see this country moving in the wrong direction, and have a problem with the PC police and White House coddling Muslim special interests…your beef is with the White House and the DNC.
How dare you tell someone to censor themseleves on their own site when they are calling it like they see it.
Who do you think you are, exactly? You have spent too much time adhering to the PC-police-liberal-indoctrination nonsense, in our book.
September 6, 2009 at 1:21 pm
Keep up the good work, Hillbuzz. I love you the way you are. Your honesty – and backbone – are refreshing.
September 7, 2009 at 8:16 am
Hillbuzz: Among many great things about coming to this site is that I have learned that you guys express your principles, and stick to them. You give people the chance to express themselves. Your motive is not to please your readers, but to give them the opportunity to express and share their views and frustrations. Your site does not censor – period! I love each and everyone of you and your contributors.
September 6, 2009 at 3:25 pm
I don’t agree. Having been a democrat for over 50 years..it’s refreshing knowing that the truth is being spoken. We had better pay attention and learn to tell lies from the truth.
September 6, 2009 at 4:16 pm
I do not agree with all of the views either in posts or comments. It is NOT my site and therefore I could choose not to visit. I do like to read the thoughts of others and find Hillbuzz articulate and stimulating even if I disagree with a particular post. Hillbuzz allows us to react. We have no right to tell them what to publish or indeed what to concentrate on. Keep up the good work Hillbuzz. I will continue to visit daily.
September 6, 2009 at 6:19 pm
Pat,
Thanks for that.
It’s that ownership of us issue that we have a big problem with. We appreciate that you come here to read us — all of you — but none of you own us and you all need to accept that. Otherwise, it gets crazy, and people like Little Isis think they can tell us “do this, not that”. We need to nip that crap in the bud. Because whenever we can’t post every day, and can’t turn out 15,000 words in an afternoon in various posts, then people like Little Isis freak out and come here and post nasty remarks about us…because we aren’t entertaining them…because they think they own us or we work for them.
We work for ourselves. We write for this site to entertain ourselves and to express our thoughts. Largely, we do this to also entertain people we actually know, who ask our opinion on things, and it’s so much easier to send them links to something we wrote on a subject than to have to write new emails for every person who asks us something. Even better, our friends can just search HillBuzz for what we think on something, or check in every day to see what we are talking about that day.
That ties in to us NOT being a news site — but more a stream of consciousness of what we are literally talking about in our kitchen and living room or wherever. It’s what you would hear from us if you were having a real conversation with us.
We never know what we’ll talk about that day…because whatever’s on the news or what we hear people talking about here in Chicago is what prompts us.
And we will not censor ourselves for ANYONE.
EVER.
September 6, 2009 at 9:57 am
HillBuzz, I am so glad you’ve highlighted this special report. I watched last night and was riveted. Tucker Carlson did an excellent, excellent job. And it covered a lot more than the Wahabbist/Islamic indoctrination going on right here in the USA.
The special is titled:
Do You Know What Textbooks Your Child is Reading?
It re-airs twice more today, at 3:00 pm EST and 9:00 pm EST.
I cannot recommend it highly enough. I called my Mom and a friend last night to make sure they knew.
September 6, 2009 at 6:22 pm
This report is good, but sadly, it’s only the tip of the iceberg.
I highly encourage you to buy a few books and do some more research on this issue. I’ve read a few books on it, and my mom has dozens of them (see my post above).
It’s really eye-opening.
September 6, 2009 at 10:16 am
Hillbuzz, Congratulations on your articles. You for one continue to put articles out that will help the faithful to continue fighting to keep Ameria FREE. God Bless You!
September 6, 2009 at 10:59 am
Biases in education are nothing new. I remember 20 yrs ago in kindergarten when we put up politically correct Thanksgiving posters with little black pilgrims, little Asian pilgrims, and my favorite, women sitting down in the shade reading books while the men cooked and set the table. Look at all the happy, racially diverse people, spending happy little holidays with the Indians.
Kind of ironic, a few years later our schools at the request of Native Americans stopped taking the day off for Columbus day. Columbus day is viewed as the anniversary of an invasion, so it’s no longer a school holiday. The Jehovah witnesses followed this up by insisting that they change Christmas holidays to Winter break, so as not to discriminate against kids that don’t celebrate Christmas. Halloween has stirred up more controversy, so our school settled the matter last year by simply closing school and calling it a student non service day.
My point being influences over our public schools comes from all directions, religious, cultural, and political. Myself, I just wish people would stop making such a fuss and learn to tolerate differences better and to accept the fact that in the US we don’t have the right to be protected from everything we find offensive.

HillBuzz:
if anyone who does not get cable and would like to watch Fox News… you can get it for free:
tikilive.com
btw…. I have read how America is protrayed from outside the country versus within, its very interesting.. if you look at how America is viewed [in textbooks] from a country that is america-friendly, say austrialia.. they are pretty fair.. from textbooks in pakistan.. etc.. obviously, not so friendly…
the textbooks in this country, especially for little kids, HAVE to be pro-america…little kids are not mature to understand the complexities of how america was born… there are some things every country does to gain freedom that if viewed in isolation do not sound good… but to expose this kind of mentality when kids are little and really have no context has to be stopped…..of course a country should make sure kids growing up in their country have a positive view of that country…this is not lying to kids…. but being aware that kids do not yet have the context and full information to understand complexities…
for example, did americans take over native american land… yes they did… but this is a complex issue as well, b/c there was also a lot of cooperation b/w the colonists and native americans.. but a little kid cannot understand the whole context.. .. so for little kids.. textbooks have to be very careful not to instill that kind of “Blame America”… the textbooks should not ,especially for little kids, present information without bias against this country…
so I absolutely commend Fox News for delving into this issue.
September 6, 2009 at 11:16 am
oops… I meant “with bias”
September 6, 2009 at 12:26 pm
Hillbuzz, I watched this show the other night and I am so glad I did.It was eye opening.I had no idea how awful one sided our schools have become. What a damn nightmare!Tucker Carlson is not one of my favorite people having bashed Hillary around a few times but I must say he did a great job.
I think Americans need to wake up and realize that Europe has made a terrible mistake in allowing this Sharia law and political correctness in kowtowing to Muslims ruin their countries. We here in America can embrace all cultures but not to allow one to dominate all the others.Truth should be told and nothing sugar coated to not offend foreign nations of different religious cultures.
Thanks for all the great thought provoking articles you post. This is my favorite site and I hope you keep telling it like it is.I may not agree with every thing you write but I will defend your right to say it.Kudos.Love you guys.
September 8, 2009 at 2:37 pm
How do we stop it? We now have a president who admits that he will “side with the muslims” if anything happens. He is already kowtowing to their leaders who give no human rights to anyone and women are not even second class citizens in many of these places.
Many of you are too young to remember the slogan that was so often spoken here: Better dead than red. (Americdans were very worried that the Soviets would come here and take over the country). Well, what phrase is appropriate to get the message out? NO SHARIA LAW here. NOT NOW, NOT EVER.

Sorry…looks like a copycat…:(
September 6, 2009 at 8:41 pm
Yeah… not HB.
However, I have noticed a lot of similarities between particular language posted on HB and certain things that Michelle Malkin has published.
I first noticed it when reading Culture of Corruption. Malkin uses “RAAAACIST!” a few times, which HB uses all the time. Made me wonder if Malkin reads HB — it wouldn’t surprise me. If not, then maybe Malkin and HB picked it up from the same place?
September 6, 2009 at 1:10 pm
I did not see the program in question. I will try to watch it tonight.
But the first thing that comes to mind, again, without having seen the program, is that textbook companies are for-profit businesses. They will only develop, print, and sell textbooks that which will be purchased in enough quantity to make a profit.
Number two, most textbooks today, at least in the elementary schools, are driven by state standards. If the textbooks do not cover all of the standards of a particular state, they will not sell and the textbook companies lose money.
So if there is a beef about content in the textbooks, look to your state’s Department of Education and the committees that develop the standards that are tested. Everything that is taught in the schools today are based on those standards which teachers and textbook companies have no, or little, input in developing.
Fourth, I have seen no state standard that has ever supported terrorists or terrorism. If anyone here has seen one I would like to know about it and have the state cited and the standard cited.
As regards Columbus Day, some school districts celebrate it. Some do not. Dropping that day as a holiday is often more about having additional time to teach students and the state extending the school day and the school year. Sometimes Columbus Day has been dropped to add more days off over Christmas break because parents (or teachers) wanted to have more time to travel at that time of year. Therefore, dropping that day as a paid holiday may have nothing at all to do with political correctness. The state determines how many days students must be in school. The holidays students get are generally determined around the number of days the state determines children must be in school.
September 6, 2009 at 1:29 pm
Last year, one of my dear friends was reviewing the homework of her 8-year old third grader. They are no longer teaching English in her class, but something called Creative Language to celebrate diversity. Did you know that there are three acceptable ways to spell boys?—boys, boyz and buoyz. She had a number of other examples which were simply mindboggling.
And, the same scenario regarding the diversity of Thanksgiving takes place at her school as well. Her school also “honors” the Wiccan tradition as well. During Ramadan, there was a discussion of “understanding” Islam and things like the need to fast and the traditional garb that Muslim women wear–in her third grade class!!! But the kicker was when during Black History month the children were told that many of the slaves came to America of their own volition and that slavery wasn’t as bad as it was made out to be. Needless to say, she is now being homeschooled.
Hillbuzz, thanks for setting Isis straight. I LOVE this site!!!
September 6, 2009 at 1:37 pm
THANKS Hillbuzz! you rule! I too am a moderate……..and think like you do….
the liberal vein of the dem party is really embarrassing!!
my eyes are wide open and took off the D glasses during the primaries..
this bitter arugula eating moderate loves your site.

Thank you Hillbuzz! Keep up the good work.
September 6, 2009 at 8:38 pm
I’d get more excited except this is a case of whose ox is being gored. Back in the late 1970’s/1980’s I read books and articles about how the textbook industry in America was being run by conservatives It looks like maybe the Left has got the textbook concession now. My guess is that it’ll go back to the conservatives soon enough.
The ones who suffer are the students. Textbooks should be based on actual facts and information and not on propaganda. Conservative propaganda, liberal propaganda, it doesn’t matter. It does not belong in a textbook.
September 6, 2009 at 11:36 pm
There are both left-wing and right-wing activists who try to influence what goes into America’s textbooks. I watched the special on Fox and yes, they did tell the truth, but they didn’t tell the whole truth. They emphasized the lefty loons and the PC nuts but glossed over the right-wing, family values radicals who want to teach America’s schoolchildren that the world is only 6000 years old, that humans and dinosaurs were alive at the same time, that our country was founded as a Christian nation by devout, Bible-believing Christians, that abstinence is all you need to know in terms of sex education, that homosexuality is a sin/illness that needs treatment, and that little girls should aspire to be wives and mommies and not much else. Forget about a neutral, let alone a positive, portrayal of Hillary.
The Fox special briefly mentioned Mel and Norma Gabler, but they didn’t tell you that at one point, some textbook publishers were sending them drafts of their books in order to win their approval. The Gablers have both passed away, but their organization, Educational Research Analysts, continues. Then there’s Phyllis Schlafly, who has been pushing a right-wing educational agenda since the 1970s. Concerned Women For America also has their hands in this same cookie jar.
I don’t always disagree with the right on educational issues. For example, I agree with them about how to teach reading– phonics works better than the look-say method. I am also troubled by much of what the radical left is trying to push into the schools. The problem is, the right’s agenda isn’t any better and Fox didn’t give both sides of the story.
September 6, 2009 at 11:37 pm
Jen -
What is the “look say method”?
September 7, 2009 at 4:40 pm
Think “Dick and Jane” series.
Something like a vocabulary of 100 words only to convey a story.
Students memorize the words because they’re presented in such a predictable fasion. No sounding anything out.
“Go, Sally, go!”
September 7, 2009 at 8:44 pm
Yep, Neenee described the look-say reading method very well. Dick and Jane have long since been replaced with “whole language” or “literature-based” reading material, but the basic method is the same– the kids are taught to recognize whole words by their overall appearance rather than sounding them out phonetically. The main difference between this method vs. Dick and Jane are the types of books used, not the actual approach to teaching reading. Today’s educators give their students the kinds of children’s books you’d find in a public library or else they use readers that include stories adapted from the children’s books you’d find in a public library.
Research has shown that using both the phonics and look-say methods is most effective. You teach the kids how to sound out words first. Some common, difficult-to-sound-out words are taught via look-say. But for the most part, the kids learn phonics first and THEN they read those nice, beautifully illustrated books from the library.
Incidentally, if you’ve ever seen a picture of Hillary as a child, she looked A LOT like Jane from the Dick and Jane readers. Same hair, same style of dresses.

Y’know it’s your blog and you have a right to express opinions about what you care about…I respect that even when I don’t always agree…I keep coming back because You guys provoke me into consideration with humor, facts and often great depth. So keep on….Steadfast. That’s my response to the first commenter….I have been watching what has happened to the quality as well as the manipulation of school text books & have found it appalling as well.
September 8, 2009 at 9:40 pm
I just found this site, and must say, thank you. I am a conservative and have for a while now been trying to get my demoncratic friends to realize that their political party is being hijacked by far left radicals. I am convinced that if the demactratic party itself does not take their party back and kick the radicals to the curb we will be Europe before they even realize they were helping them get us all to there.
September 6, 2009 at 1:43 pm
What’s funny to us about Isis is threefold:
(1) we never understand when people complain about anything we say, because no one is forcing them to read us. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. It is that simple people.
(2) we are not a news source. We have never once claimed to be a news source. We are a bunch of gay Democrat guys in Boystown who started this blog to counter the Liberals and Leftist attacks against Hillary Clinton in the primaries. We kept it going to make sure SOMEONE out there never forgot what the lefties in the Democratic Party did to the moderates, what Dr. Utopia’s supporters did in the caucuses and primaries, and just who, exactly, the “progressives” and leftists backed in Dr. Utopia and his merry band of radicals. You should not be getting your news from us — so saying we need to be “covering” anything is ridiculous. We only give you our take on what’s happening…as much of it as we can fit into a day. Sometimes we tell you things we overhear at political events here in Chicago. Sometimes we tell you what we think based on what we are seeing and reading in the news. But we are NOT the news. We are not paid to do this. We are not journalists…just guys sharing their take and their own opinions. For free. So, people who feel some sort of ownership of us, or think they can tell us what to talk about and what not to talk about, or what opinions we can have or not have are just lunatics in our book. If you want to boss us around like that, you have another thing coming, lady. If you tell us to shut up about something, to paraphrase Maxine Waters circa 1998, we say “YOU shut up”.
(3) we hope others out there continue to stand up whenever the PC crowd starts their crap. It’s just like living here in Boystown and pretending that black thugs from the Southside are not coming north to rob and beat gays in Boystown. Every week, there’s another attack. The perpetrators are all blacks from the Southside coming north to rob and beat affluent Boystown gays. Yet, at every community meeting that’s held about these attacks, the “progressives” and “liberals” from places like the Center on Halsted insist “you can’t say it’s blacks from the Southside doing this”. It reminds us of a herd of sheep somewhere on a moor insisting they shouldn’t talk about the wolves racing in from the nearby woods to slaughter another one of them every night. “You simply cannot say these are wolves doing this. It could be velociraptors. It might be hexatoblogoblins from the planet Uninif. Even though the victims that survived the attacks say wolves attacked them, and witnesses saw wolves attack them, we must not say these are wolves attacking people because that would be RAAAACIST!”.
Liberals are either dangerously naive or naively dangerous.
Either way, they are far, far worse than the religious zealots and fundamentalist nuts on the far right. At least THOSE out of touch nuts love America, even if they do hate just about everything else unlike themselves. Liberals hate themselves, hate America, and think some nebulous guilt demands we ignore reality and fail to address wolves being wolves hurting their own community.
In Boystown’s case, every single day we thank Heaven no one has been killed yet. But someone will indeed be killed before this problem is resolved because the police are still ignoring all the black youth who come to Boystown from the southside carrying bats and hammers and bricks at night…just tempting fate that one day the guy they rob will actually die instead of just spending three weeks in a hospital with a smashed-in face.
And the liberals will all claim “this tragedy could have never been prevented…we never saw this coming”.
Yah, because like people such as Isis, you refuse to look at the reality in front of you because you’ve had too much PC indoctrination to tell the DAMN TRUTH.
We tell conservatives when they are being dicks. We tell liberals when they are being naive loons. We tell moderates when they need to stop being Eeyores and diaper babies and get their butts off the couch and DO SOMETHING. We ragged on Bush when he was president but after Dr. Utopia took over we admitted we were wrong about Bush in many ways — Cheney too. We’ve written extensively on that subject, as it fascinates us how partisan blinded we always were until 2008. We never had Republican friends until this election…and that was a mistake. Now we have friends on both sides of the spectrum, but mostly dead center in the middle like us. Having Republican friends, and agreeing with Republicans that this administration is out of control, does not keep its word or promises, and is trying its damndest to socialize this country has cost us a lot — because people like Isis are so partisan blinded that they cannot accept the fact “the other side” can be right about something.
There are many Republicans who can’t accept the fact that a bunch of gay Hillary loving Dems in Boystown can be right about things too.
So, we are always in the middle, always being attacked from all sides, Republican and Democrat, because the DNC lost its identity in 2008 and left so many of us without a real home. The choice for us was always to toe the line and be “good little Democrats” who, like Isis, look the other way and pretend reality’s whatever the DNC and Dr. Utopia want it to be…or to call spades spades and socialists socialists.
We choose the latter, thank you very much.
No matter what little isis wants us to do.

Huzzah!
Having been a Republican my whole life (but thinking of switching to Independent, since the Republican party is really pissing me off), I had certain predispositions when I first started visiting this site. But I was attracted by the interesting outlook and witty snark.
Since then, Hillbuzz has challenged some of my predispositions and, as a result, I’ve developed what I consider to be a more thorough, well-rounded, and fair world view.
I appreciate it.
I don’t always agree, but I do appreciate the fact that you take time out of your personal lives to do this for free.
What you say about not getting your news from this site is true. So true, in fact, that each one of you reading this now should take that advice to heart about ALL news sources.
Don’t JUST get your news from Hillbuzz. Don’t JUST get your news from Fox. Don’t JUST get your news from CBS, the New York Times, or the Internet.
Becoming informed is really the ONLY thing you can do to save yourself from being manipulated by either one of the political parties.
Politicians DESPERATELY want you to identify yourself firmly as a Republican, or a Democrat, or a liberal, or a conservative. They KNOW that if you tie yourself to that label, and come to think of yourself as belonging to that particular ideology, you become easier to control via tasty soundbites, inflammatory rhetoric, and simple action by association.
Here’s a secret: it works. It works on members of my family, and it used to work on me.
So here’s a suggestion for everyone still reading this diatribe: QUESTION WITH BOLDNESS, and anyone who attacks you for asking questions is, in fact, the enemy.

Eric,
We’ll add one other thing to what you said above: be VERY suspicious when someone, like Little Isis, tells you NOT to talk about something.
Whenever someone tells us NOT to talk about anything, we want to talk about that thing even more, every day, because if someone is telling us to shut up, there must be something really good there for us to look into.
Muslims blow up buildings and use terror as a means to promote Islam. Muslims are working hard every day to Islamize Europe and curtail the rights and freedoms of native Europeans who bow to the pressure of Muslim immigrants. According to the FOX special, this pressure is being put on US textbook writers…and that subversion is being pushed onto our children. Islam declared war on the West years ago…but the West is still lumbering in PC-haze and won’t accept this because it wouldn’t be PC to admit the people who are trying to kill us are not, in fact, Care Bears looking only for hugs.
If Muslims really didn’t embrace and encourage terrorism, they would — THEMSELVES — shut down all the mosques that promote it…they would remove all the hateful imams from power…they would overthrow the House of Saud and other state sponsors of terrorism and wahabbism.
Muslims don’t do any of this. Instead, those in the US send money overseas to aid and abet the efforts of those who seek to destroy us. Just beause Little Isis doesn’t want to admit this is true doesn’t mean it’s not true.

Eric,
People have done everything there is possible to do to us. We’ve lost jobs, been unable to find work, and have had all sorts of other negative experiences because we’re Dems in a Dem controlled city who have been speaking out against and opposing Dr. Utopa for two years now. After the kitchen sink (or rocks) have been thrown at you, there feels like there is nothing left to lose anymore. Someday, people will see that we were right. If we can make it through the next three years or so to that glorious day, the grief and suffering will all be worth it.
It’s shocking how far liberals will go, and how many awful things they will do to people who oppose Dr. Utopia. To think, all that Hope! and Change! propaganda…and yet the libs resort to the nastiest, most destructive Alinsky tactics whenever challenged.
If it wasn’t for the Clintons, we would have nothing to do with the Democratic party. But, we believe the Clintons will take back the party and restore the moderate voice to the DNC in time.
That is the only thing that keeps us from being independents.

The growth of Muslim populations around the world is dramatic. France will be a Muslim nation within a couple decades. Germany is right behind them. One interesting theory postulates that the U.S. is weak on immigration because we rely on population growth from Mexico to keep us from reaching critical mass with regard to the population of Muslims.
Whenever this topic comes up, I’m reminded of the movie Braveheart, where Longshanks says:
“The trouble with Scotland is that it’s full of Scots. If we can’t get them out, we’ll breed them out.”
A similar strategy *might* be under way around the world.
In any case, I think the tactics of the terrorists are changing. They are starting to figure out that they can’t achieve their goals by force. They simply don’t have the weaponry or technology, plus terrorism is something that all people can denounce.
Instead, you’re seeing them now move towards political terrorism — subverting the laws of various countries in the name of religious freedom.
You see this happening NOW with Great Britain having already installed the first official Sharia Law court: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/faith/article4749183.ece
Also in parts GB, female police officers have to wear headscarves if they want to enter mosques: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/somerset/8171151.stm
In the United States, there is at least one private schools funded entirely by the Saudi government which perpetuate at least some of the tenets of radical Islam.
I remember hearing that Muslims in the US are trying to get mosques declared sovereign property of the “Nation of Islam” or something, and get them the same rights as embassies and other property of actual foreign countries.
I think this last came from a book by a former Jihadist, who questioned the motives of his Muslim propaganda leaders and decided to actually read the Christian bible since he was hell-bent on destroying the religion. What he found was not a book of hatred, as he had been indoctrinated to believe, but a book of hope, love, and ultimately peace.
I *think* this book is The Blood of Lambs by Kamal Saleem: http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Lambs-Former-Terrorists-Redemption/dp/1416577807
I’m going to add this to my reading list.
