I think we know the answer…
A man who referred to American troops in Iraq as Cold Blooded Killers….should not have this gig….plain and simple….
I believe in Olbermann’s right to freedom of speech, and I am not implying that sponsors boycott his show, Countdown (no need-his low ratings do the trick)….
What I am saying is…I think it is time to do the following:
-Express your displeasure to NBC sports: nbcsportshelp@nbcuni.com
-Season ticket holders should call their respective teams, and threaten to not buy tickets next year
-signage at games, calling for his dismissal (I’m sure the Hillbuzz guys can come up w/ some creative snark)
-encourage the athletes, and the vast number of Republican Head Coaches, not to grant interviews to NBC, out of respect to our troops (in particular, Pat Tillman), until his dismissal
I do not think it will be difficult to find broad consensus that listening to the orange, chubby, pretend Ivy league grad….who referred to a majority of Americans as tea baggers (for those who still don’t know…it means…you like men’s balls in your mouth-which understandably here, may not be offensive)……on Sunday nights…is just too much….

So true. The liberals get away with everything. The double standard needs to stop. We stopped the public option now lets get Olbermann off Sunday night football!!

I do not watch football or buy tickets to a game. If my TV happened to be on football (it happens on occasion when my son stops by) I consider that a signal to take a nap. So – what can those of us that have no invested interest in football do? any ideas out there?

I would love to have Olbermann visit a US military base for one day. He will come out a changed man after the cold blooded killers will slap him around

Good point. it would just as stupid to have Beck appear on Fox NFL Sunday as it is for Olbedork to be on Sunday NIght NFL on NBC.

Oh Ray, you are a fine, fine addition to this site. Keep the snark coming … quit your day job if you have to. WELCOME!
FOX would likely send that idiot Gerry Rivers to cover football. Ol’ Ger could draw the opposing team’s secret plays in dirt* on the sidelines. Jackass.
*For those of you with short memories: Like he did in Iraq with regard to our soldiers positions. I repeat: Jackass.

Since NBC is in bed with the administration, I doubt that they would care if anyone complains about Olberman. Besides that, I think they will soon be subsidized by the White House so they wouldn’t even care if they lost advertisers. The NFL needs to be the focus of any complaint….and since their ticket sales have dropped and they will be having local game blackouts because of it, their revenue will also drop….which just make them more ameanable to a little hint or two.
Here is a thought for the NFL to chew on….when sales are down due to a bad economy, reducing the prices might just be a good PR move. Isn’t a stadium filled with fans better for players morale than empty seats?
