Breaking news: Rielle 'Lisa Druck' Hunter spotted at Grand Jury in case against John "Bathroom-Hider" Edwards

Posted at August 6, 2009 by HillBuzz // Uncategorized

Remember the federal investigation into John “Bathroom-hider” Edwards’ misuse of tax-free charitable contributions to buy his mistress Rielle “Lisa Druck” Hunter all sorts of wonderful things, like trips, and a home, and $14,000 of “furniture”?

Well, the man who ran down the stairs at the Beverly Hilton, crying, and locked himself in the bathroom until a burly security man could come rescue him, Kevin Costner/Whitney Houston/Bodyguard-style, has to be wondering what his mistress is telling federal investigators.

No one knows what Druck-Hunter told the feds, but in the aftermath of the way both of the shameless, opportunistic Edwardses treated her, we hope she’s singing like a canary (or quacking like a druck, whatever the case  may be, as long as Johnny Boy ultimately gets to hide in some state-run bathroom somewhere for a while, waiting for a burly penitentiary worker to make that Bodyguard sequel.

And  no, just because she’s sick doesn’t mean Elizabeth Edwards gets to be canonized a saint.  The woman knew, in 2007, that her husband had a candidacy-ending problem with Druck-Hunter.  Elizabeth went on the road for Edwards anyway, and the Edwards family teamed up with Dr. Utopia to bring Hillary Clinton down.

Isn’t it interesting that all the people who backstabbed Clinton (Edwards, Dodd, Richardson, the Kennedys), all subsequently took enormous falls that ended, or will soon end, their political careers.

Funny how things like that cosmically come back around to bad people, huh?

The White House could have a disaster of epic proportions on its hands

Posted at August 6, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Wow.

Just wow.

The video above is 8 minutes long but worth the watch.

It’s an AARP meeting in Dallas wheren Hope-and-Changers berate old people, treat them rudely, then waddle out of the room when their socialist lies are challenged.

If this is happening across the country, the blowup from these antics is going to be HUGE.

But, honestly, if you’ve been paying attention the last two years, this behavior should not surprise you.  This is EXACTLY how Dr. Utopia’s followers campaigned for him in the primaries…and exactly how they behaved in the general election.  They are curt, rude, in-your-face (needlessly), and bully when faced with any opposition. If you think about it, there’s really no way this adminstration was actually going to succeed at anything because the “movement” it created and the followers it attracted are Alinsky thugs — not people capable of actually swaying opinion and bringing people over to their side.

No, instead, if you oppose them, they will hit you over the head with something.  If that doesn’t work, they’ll just leave and go attack someone else.

Hope!

Change!

What’s interesting, too, is that an administration supposedly so technologically advanced and “with-it” doesn’t realize that scheduling town hall meetings across the country was probably the absolute worst thing it could have done to win converts in the age of YouTube.  Back in the 90s, when healthcare reform was last tried, town hall meetings were used — but the beauty back then was the MSM controlled any footage of those meetings.  If you weren’t there in person, and if the MSM didn’t show anything negative, you’d think people in town halls loved what was going on (and Hillary Clinton never proposed socialism…which we hope even Republicans recognize at this point).

Nowadays, the MSM has no real control of what’s getting out there and going viral.  Anyone with a computer can see what’s up.  And there’s no way for the White House to counter this stuff because even if it produces 20 Potemkin village town halls for every real one, the ones where people rip Sebelius, Specter, the AARP, and the Hope-and-Changers to shreds are the ones people will want to watch over and over again because they are so entertaining.  No matter how many fake cheers the White House will show for a plan that’s poorly thought out, ridiculously presented, and idiotically rammed down our throats at lightspeed, people are drawn to videos like the one above.  And that’s not going to change.

Hope!

RIP: John Hughes Dead at 59

Posted at August 6, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

This is truly, truly sad.

John Hughes, director of Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and writer of Home Alone is dead, of a heart attack while walking in New York.

We got to meet him once here in Chicago a few years ago at an event Roger Ebert had: he was a great guy, signed autographs, took pictures, told stories.  A genuinely nice man who was happy to talk to people who loved his movies.  Great sense of humor, too.

AND, creator of two of the absolute best and most perfect scenes in movies (the Art Institute tour scored to The Smiths’ Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want and the Parade Scene with Twist and Shout).

Thank you for the awesomeness, Mr. Hughes!

The Hope! and Change! crowd calls Hillary Clinton a misogynist pejorative. AGAIN.

Posted at August 6, 2009 by HillBuzz // Uncategorized

Washington Post Hope-and-Changers Dana Milbank and Chris Cilizza are at it again…calling Hillary Clinton a b****.

Because every day Dr. Utopia’s followers prove what refined vocabulary and excellent taste they have.

Hope!

Change!

Call the Secretary of State something disgusting!

Sometimes, in moments like this, it’s fun to hope that Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton really is plotting and scheming every day (as some whisper) to challenge Dr. Utopia and his Alinsky thugs in 2012…because people like Milbank and Cillizza’s heads would explode if Clinton usurped the incumbent in 2012 and took back the White House. We don’t see her doing that, but every misogynistic slap from the left makes us wish she really would rise up and teach the lot of them a serious lesson.  It doesn’t seem like her style, but maybe she’ll one day have enough of this and surprise everyone.

The Washington Post, for once, did the right thing and actually canceled whatever online video series this misogyny was part of.

Whether you are a Hillary or a Sarah supporter, whenever either of them are called names and attacked like this, everyone from both sides needs to stand up and push back against the Left when they pull this crap.

THEY ARE STUNNED EVERY TIME THEY ARE CHALLENGED, because Republicans never stand up for themselves or anyone else, and let the Left run all over them in the media.  It’s interesting that Dr. Utopia’s Alinsky methods in 2008 have created this whole new breed of moderate Democrats that are so ashamed of how the Democratic party conducts itself these days that DEMOCRATS can teach Republicans how to push back against misogyny.

If you stand up for Hillary, we’ll stand up for Sarah whenever she is attacked.  No matter how many goons HuffPo or Kos send against us in retaliation for calling them out.

The Alinsky stuff crumples when challenged.  The whole point of those personalized attacks is to be so vile and overwhelming that the victim gives up.  Well, these people are truly fools if they think that stuff will keep working if moderates and conservatives join forces to take down the Left.

Two against one, baby.

One small fight at a time.  Never letting them get away with what they did in 2008 EVER AGAIN.

P8020079P8020082P8020088

A few days ago, we told you about the “Sarah Palin Retirement Fund” scam The Chicago Diner on Halsted ran during Market Days (August 1-2, 2009).

Not confident in their abilities to score ample tips like the other 19 or so food vendors with clearly marked “TIPS” jars at the festival, The Chicago Diner, owned by Leftist Marshall Hornick, decided it needed to impersonate a charitable fund with jars along their booth labeled “Sarah Palin Retirement Fund”.

When we spotted The Chicago Diner’s “Fund” jars, we sought out the Diner’s manager, a woman who would not give her name, but was dressed in a pink wig like the lead character of 80s cartoon “Jem & the Holograms”.

We asked the manager (“Jem”) the following questions, receiving no valid reply to any of them:

(1) Why was The Chicago Diner the only food booth at the festival collecting money for a “Fund” of any kind, when every other food vendor had a “TIPS” jar out?

(2) What was the reason The Chicago Diner chose to deliberately not have “TIPS” jars, like everyone else, but needed to create a “Sarah Palin Retirement Fund” to get people to give them money?

(3) Did The Chicago Diner, or its owner Marshall Hornick, have a valid and registered 501(c)3 number associated with its “Fund”?

(4) Pursuant to state and federal anti-fraud legislation, such as 815 ILCS 510/Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act, that govern a for-profit commercial business misrepresenting itself as something or someone it is not in the course of operating their business, how did The Chicago Diner plan to deal with the confusing and misleading “Fund” jars it set up:  which could be taken to mean anything, from contributions to help private citizen Sarah Palin (no longer constrained by any “public elected figure” status from taking action against a business like The Chicago Diner, incidentally) in her retirement to possibly contributions going to some unknown group that wants to make sure Palin is retired.

(5) That last one above is especially troubling, since “Sarah Palin Retirement Fund” could, very well, have been raising money for some very dark purposes — possibly even a group who wants to “retire” the Governor permanently and do her bodily harm.  What does “Sarah Palin Retirement Fund” mean and where is the money going to?  We specifically asked The Chicago Diner to print a disclaimer on all of their jars that explained that — and made it clear these were just “TIPS” jars with no other purpose — but The Chicago Diner refused, saying “We’d make less money if we did that”.

(6) Not having the friendliest staff at Market Days (or the best food, to be honest), the “We’d make less money if we did that” refusal to put up a disclaimer on the jars seems to say a lot about Marshall Hornick’s operation’s ability to generate “TIPS” like all the other bars, food vendors, and other “TIPS” jar booths lining Market Days.

So, all we did was ask the questions above, and The Chicago Diner staff got pretty flummoxed, because they’d never been challenged before.  Sarah Palin is a private citizen now: she should not be used by Leftists to boost their anemic tips-generating abilities at a street fair in the Midwest.

A for-profit business should never use “Fund” on anything unless that money is going to a charity — no matter how hilariously funny that is, or how much these people love wearing Jem costumes in their 60s.

At a time when charities are collapsing left and right for lack of donations, The Chicago Diner writing “Fund” on something they intended to keep for themselves (to buy more tie-dye or wigs with, maybe) cheapens the impact of people seeing “Fund” jars out for real, legitimate causes.  At Market Days, several HIV/AIDS agencies were collecting money for their “Funds” at their booths — and the donations were much less than they would have been a few years ago.

How does Marshall Hornick feel about his “joke” charitable fraud when several booths away real charities were struggling to fill their “Fund” jars.  Meanwhile, every other food and beverage vendor had standard-issue, clearly labeled “TIPS” jars.

How funny is it for the staff and patrons of The Chicago Diner to invent “joke Funds”, and refuse to put a disclaimer on them, when real charities and their funds suffer?

And it most certainly is true that there would indeed be an uproar if The Chicago Diner had labeled their “Fund” jars something like, “The Jerry’s Kids Fund” or “NAACP College Fund” and then it was discovered they never had any intention of giving that money to a charity.  As we read the Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act, it doesn’t matter WHAT a business misrepresents itself as.  Jerry’s Kids.  NAACP.  Something related to Sarah Palin.

If the money was always intended to go to The Chicago Diner, but Marshall Hornick and The Chicago Diner purposefully chose to label its money collection operation something unrelated entirely to The Chicago Diner or its staff (and on top of that, when called out on it, they refused to issue a disclaimer letting the public know what it was doing), then some sort of action should be taken against them under IRS, FTC, state, or some other federal statute.

“We’d make less money” if the jars were labeled “TIPS” was the argument The Chicago Diner gave for calling these “The Sarah Palin Retirement Fund”.

What is honestly to stop these people from, next year, labeling those jars “Jerry’s Kids Fund” if they decide that will make EVEN MORE MONEY for them than “TIPS” or something Governor Palin-related would?

“TIPS” jars should be “TIPS” jars…no matter how funny Marshall Hornick or Jem think charitable fraud is.

What’s fascinating to us is that we, and our readers, have just been asking questions about what exactly went on during Market Days and why, in particular, The Chicago Diner refused to put up a disclaimer when specifically asked (which, in our opinion, would have solved this problem). If people tell a business that its “Fund” looks like it is misrepresenting some vague charity and that it’s both confusing and misleading and they ASK YOU TO ISSUE A DISCLAIMER and you refuse, because you’d “make less money that way”, then that business sure feels like it’s violating both the spirit and intent of something like the Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Now, this is Illinois.  Lisa Madigan is the Attorney General.  Lisa Madigan is the kind of person we can readily imagine eating tofu burgers and vegan enchiladas at The Chicago Diner and having a wonderful time doing it.  The Madigan Family is not exactly known in this state for “doing the right thing”.

But, even Madigan would come down hard if The Chicago Diner had used “Jerry’s Kids Fund” or “NAACP Fund” on those jars with no intention of ever giving that money to a real fund.

So we wonder exactly where is the line between it being charitable fraud and it being Liberals in a Liberal-controlled state taking a lame jab at a private citizen living thousands of miles away because their staff isn’t friendly, engaging, or deserving enough to generate big tips on their own…the way all the other food and beverage vendors clearly had no trouble doing?

When you ask questions of Leftists, they never bother to answer them rationally, but instead whip out the Alinsky playbook and toss out expletives, attacks, and try to shout down the questioner.

They also have a hard time reading, it seems, because we’re not Republicans around here.  We’re Democrats.  Moderate Democrats who do not support the Alinsky Leftist takeover of America.  This is the same Dr. Utopia Hope! Change! Kool-Aid Gang that intimidated voters, started bar fights, broke windows, trashed property, and lived and breathed the Alinsky playbook during both the Democratic primaries and the general election last year.

Where is that Hope! and Change!, Lefties? Aren’t we supposed to be in a “new glorious era” where the skies open and choirs of angels descend to sing hallelujahs on high?  If so, then why the need to attack someone who isn’t even Governor anymore — just because you can’t raise any tips for yourself without stooping to that level.

And that’s the real shame in all of this, because we’ve said from the beginning that The Chicago Diner puts out really good product.  If you like vegan food, it is indeed a good place to eat.  If you don’t like vegan food, the vegan “milkshakes” and “raw cheesecake” are still excellent. You can have a good salad if you don’t want to be adventurous with anything else.

So, a business that carries itself with excellence in the kitchen should have an expectation of class and excellence in ALL that it does, and in how its staff ALWAYS behaves.  Especially people who were shouting Hope! and Change! the loudest last year.

You can go ahead and call us Republicans if you want, but we’re not.  We’re moderate Democrats that oppose Leftist hypocrisy when we see it, wherever we see it.

And maybe no one spoke up for President Bush in the past, but Chicago indeed is on fair warning that Sarah Palin has strong support in this city, whether you realize it or not.  How Dr. Utopia’s followers treated Hillary Clinton supporters during the primaries will never be forgotten — and makes it very easy for us to cross the aisle and stand up for Sarah Palin when she’s attacked too. The ramifications of last year’s Alinsky ACORN thuggery will be felt long into the future, whether the Left realizes this or not.

Some articles that picked this story up (note how crazy and vile the Lefties are in their comments.  It’s very telling how real Hope! and Change! ever were):

NBC — always doing its job as Leftist mouthpiece

Grub Street Chicago — this author also thinks there’s nothing wrong with refusing to put a simple disclaimer on something, which would have solved the whole problem and prevented an article from us.  But Jem wouldn’t do that.

CBS – fair and balanced account of the issue

Huffington Post — of course, this is the hate machine that’s directed most of the attacks on us for asking simple questions about why a business refused to put a disclaimer on what looks like a charity scam

Michelle Malkin's Culture of Corruption

Posted at August 6, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Michelle Malkin is someone we can’t wait to meet someday — she’s hilarious.  Especially when she publishes some of the vile, hateful things that Dr. Utopia’s followers send her in the mail.  Famously, one of these Kool-Aid drinking, Hope! and Change! unicorn-riding, trolls called her a “noted Oriental and undercover HORE”.  Whatever that means. We shudder to imagine the stuff Malkin thinks is just too vile to print.

These are who Liberals are, people.

They are not the burlap-sack wearing, flower picking, free hugs and kittens peace and love angels the MSM likes to paint them as.

They are hateful misogynists who’ve memorized Alinsky and live and breathe every single word, day in and day out.

We hope Michelle Malkin inspires others in the conservative world to boldly standup against the Liberals.  When you push back against them, they don’t know what to do because bullies aren’t used to being challenged.

Malkin’s new book “Culture of Corruption” is #1 on the NYT’s bestseller list — and get this, that’s without any book reviews or promotion because the MSM has refused to give Malkin that kind of support.  The demand for a book on Dr. Utopia’s corruption is so great that without all the usual bells and whistles publishers use in the MSM to raise sales, Malkin’s at NUMBER ONE.

That should tell you something.

We hope to read the book later today and will happily report back what we think.

Can’t wait.

Thursday Open Thread: August 6th, 2009

Posted at August 6, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

What’s on your mind this Thursday?

In your communities wherever you live, what are people saying about the “Healthcare Town Halls” and the “Report Your Neighbor” effort of the current Administration?

Here in Chicago, we can’t wait to scream and yell at the August 15th Town Hall Danny Davis is hosting.  That’s going to be an interesting time, to be sure. And even in Chicago, “Report Your Neighbor”, is just downright creepy.

That’s going to really come back to bite this White House.

Dr. Utopia’s made a lot of blunders all summer and seems really off his game.  The antics he got up to with fellow race-baiter Henry Gates feels like it will be a turning point for a lot of people.  Dr. Utopia attended a racist, vile, paranoid church for decades, and has surrounded himself with vile, paranoid black racists his whole life…including Henry Gates, ever one to drop to the ground, fudge his diapers, and scream RAAAAAAAACIST! over just about anything. A dog barks at him: “Damn dog RAAAACIST!”. A bird plops one on his tweed Harvard jacket: “Damn bird RAAAAACIST!”.  He burns his fingers lighting a match: “Damn fire RAAAAACIST!”.

Everything bad that happens to a black person, even the things they cause themselves, is RAAAACIST! to both the current President of the United States and the likes of his campadres in hysterics like Gates, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, John Lewis, James Clyburne, Danny Davis, and of course, who can ever forget, Dr. Jeremiah Wright.

The public education system in this country has been so PC-refined in the last two decades or so that white people are taught to live in terror of being called a RAAAACIST! by a wailing man-child like Gates or Sharpton, both of whom have made careers and marvelous livings holding institutions and corporations hostage with RAAAAAACIST! cries.  That’s Gates’ niche at Harvard: to race-bait, to opportunize any instance where he can allege RAAAACISM! to install himself as “an expert on race in America”, where he no doubt commands large fees to “educate” evil white people on their RAAAACISM!.  Sharpton is much more crude in the way he goes about things, but much more effective.  He and Jackson, together, have shaken untold sums out of corporate coffers as “race consultants” and “mediators” on various issues they stir up.

How any of this, or Dr. Utopia’s behavior in calling police stupid when that’s a word that should be applied to his good friend and race-baiter Gates, is part of “post-racial” America is just beyond us.

It seems all we hear about is RAAAACIST! this and RAAAACIST! that over and over again every day.  Any criticism of Dr. Utopia is RAAAACIST!  If you don’t believe the latest furniture upholstery monstrosity the current FLOTUS is wearing is just the absolute most devastatingly gorgeous dress you have ever seen, you are a RAAAACIST! If you think Congress debating healthcare reform should last AT LEAST as long as the SIX MONTHS it took the Utopias to finally pick a dog, then you are a RAAAACIST!

It’s like a Jeff Foxworthy bit at this point.

And it also reminds us of a really bad date where the person across from you keeps talking about his ex, and how evil his ex is, and it’s clear that’s this person’s favorite topic in the whole wide world, regardless of the impact it has on you.  At the end of the date, you decide you don’t want to see that person anymore, and he’s stunned, because he thought the date went so well. HE certainly enjoyed the conversation on his favorite topic…and egomaniac that he is, he just assumed you’d enjoy it too, never bothering to check if you got sick of that crap about 10 words in.

Americans have been berated with constant RAAAACIST! hooey for the better part of a year now…when will they get up from the table and walk away?

Or, is the programming in public schools so strong and so PC that white people love hearing how RAAACIST! they supposedly are and can’t wait for Al Sharpton’s or Henry Gates’ next command performance rolling around on the ground, foaming at the mouth, ranting and raving?

What think you?
