According to PerezHilton, the reason Michelle Obama looked the way she did last night at the Inaugural Balls is because the man who designed her Wilma Flinstone Marries Mr. Coffee dress, Jason Wu, is better known for designing gowns for transexuals and female impersonators, such as drag queen par excellance RuPaul Charles.
Wu crafted gowns for “America’s Number One Transexual”, Amanda LePore, pictured below with Wu:

Three people Jason Wu has designed for include drag queen RuPaul, transexual Amanda LePore, and our new First Lady, Michelle Obama
And then he made this dress for Michelle:

I have learned one thing as I have known many gay men. If they think you look bad, then you really DO look bad. I always trust a gay man’s taste in clothes, hair color/cuts, and decorating–hands down! I love it!

I knew you would love it.

ROFL! Oh that’s just hilarious. Thanks for the laugh, Hillbuzz.

Did you guys see this?
At 735 pm, Roberts administred the oath of office again to obama in the map room. Robert gibbs said the wh counsel, greg craig, believes the oath was fine Tuesday, but one word was out of sequence so they did this out of a “an abundance of caution.”
January 21, 2009 at 10:48 pm
Gee, if this minor kerfluffle warranted a do-over. . . how does Obama & Co. justify never producing that birth certificate??? Would think an “abundance of caution” should have prevailed during the campaign, too.
January 21, 2009 at 10:50 pm
2nd oath administration by Roberts. Why? SCOTUS knows far more than they are willing to take on publicly.
Travesty.
January 21, 2009 at 10:55 pm
Oh my. That is a g- awful gown.
January 21, 2009 at 10:55 pm
He will not be my president unless I see all his papers, birth certificate, college, passport, etc. He is hiding something.
January 21, 2009 at 11:08 pm
Oh wow!!
January 21, 2009 at 11:19 pm
I get the impression Michelle is going for any designer who is not white.
January 21, 2009 at 11:39 pm
I think at this point, I’d be happier if Ru Paul was our president and/or first lady, rather than who we have now.

ROTFLOL!! That is just waaaay to funny! Love it guys! Needed a good laugh after yesterday! And #10 Fae at 10:55 pm…I agree with you wholeheartedly. He is definitely hiding something and I think they all know it but don’t have the backbone to stand up against him. Biggest con man I’ve ever seen. She needs some help in how to dress. She has no class and you can’t buy that like they did the White House. Thank you Hillbuzz! You guys are great!
January 21, 2009 at 11:45 pm
Thanks for that incredible laugh!
January 21, 2009 at 11:55 pm
Thats so funny I always said MO looked like a man in drag hahahahhaha
January 22, 2009 at 12:49 am
Fae! I think you’re on to something. I’ll bet Michelle’s dress was made of Barack’s shredded papers. They probably thought the last place we’d ever look was right under our noses.
January 22, 2009 at 12:52 am
Could it be that the slogan was really:
“A sex change you can believe in”?
January 22, 2009 at 1:55 am
Hillbuzz,
What about Michelle’s election night Spiderwoman outfit??
January 22, 2009 at 2:05 am
Is Voguing big in Chicago, cause I thought it was mainly a New York thing. And I know Michelle wouldn’t have picked it up in Princeton or Cambridge.
FLMom for real? A do over for the oath. You can’t do do overs in the White House. Could get really tricky when it comes to matters involving our armed services.

Warning: shameless name-dropping: my cousin Randy Barbato and his partner Fenton Bailey (WOW Productions; Pop Tarts) plucked RuPaul from the underground obscurity of *Starbooty* and helped make him the real star they knew he was. They managed him for ten years and are still fabulous, close friends and collaborators today.
How they did it, in part, was to dress Ru better. On those rare occasions when Randy has complimented me on my appearance, I’m over the moon because gay men have, by and large, great taste. And when a straight man says he thinks I’d love such and such a guy, my eyes roll to the back of my head. But when my gay boyfriends have made the same suggestion, they’ve ALWAYS been right.
I might add (to further my shamelessness, but hey, I’m proud of my cousin & Fenton)that back in the day when we all lived in NYC, I got to hang with Ru at many a party. He’s the most down-to-earth, loving, sane individual one can imagine. I have a picture of me with him at an event at Irving Plaza, and whenever to this day I look at it, even I wonder who the real woman in the picture is.
January 22, 2009 at 10:38 am
Mr. Wu has probably permanently damaged his fashion career by showing his utter lack of taste and appropriateness.
Shiny is not for before 5pm and shoes are supposed to compliment the ensemble, not bang up against it like a screen door in a hurricane.
How about choosing AMERICAN
January 22, 2009 at 10:40 am
Sorry…hit the wrong button:
To continue: how about choosing AMERICAN designers who know something about style? His fashions are simply ugly. I suspect this dreadful woman is going to choose the all-black route when selecting her fashionistas.

I just spilled my coffee. Thanks for the laugh.
