Napolitano to the Cabinet
Mike Allen reported last night that Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano will take over the Department of Homeland Security. A border state governor, she’d be responsible for implementing a messy immigration policy that doesn’t seem on the brink of change.
NOTE: We believe Napolitano is a good choice for Homeland Security, and joins Hillary Clinton as another high profile woman expected in the transitioning Cabinet. That makes two. It’s a good start. But it still remains to be seen if “Hope and Change” means having half the Cabinet posts go to women, as is representative of our country.
In our book, part of “change we can believe in” is seeing more than just a handful of women in the Cabinet. There needs to be equal representation, because there certainly are enough qualified women, of both parties, out there to fill half of those Cabinet spots.
Unless Obama feels otherwise, on a personal level.

Janet Napolitano is a horrible choice for that cabinet post. At least if she takes it, we get rid of her in the governor’s office. That’s the bright side for me.

She is probably just like Obama orshe wouldn’t get the job, she looks like a guy in a pearl necklace. Yuk

Alas, in jobs ranging from federal attorney to governor of Arizona, Janet Napolitano has proven to be best at sitting on the fence. With her as head of Homeland Security, terrorists have nothing to fear.

She has done NOTHING good on illegal immigration for the state of Arizona. This choice reflects Obama’s position on amnesty for all illegal immigration. We are going to regret this.

I’m sorry but for a position like HOmeland Security, she is a very poor choice. NO experience whatsoever in security matters. There could have been a better woman availbale.

Our good fortune at havine Nappy leave AZ is actually horrible for the Country. She was totally ineffective as Gov. of AZ – we have the worst school ratings of any State, and she took a huge surplus and turned it into an even bigger deficit, and our State has the highest kidnapping rate in the Country – mostly by illegals, thanks to her desire for Open Borders. In terms of safety & security – with her at the helm, we’re doomed!

Why do we have attorneys in charge of Homeland Security? This department should be headed by someone from law enforcement, military, or security. They have had the training and experience for intelligence, investigations operational head of the Coast Guard. If you new need legal advice, then go to the general counsel. Lawyers aren’t trained to develop and head up operations, they are trained to block operations.

Now that she’ll be vacating the governor’s seat in AZ, the state might now begin to offer better services for folks like my brother, who has Down syndrome. I wanted to move us from NV to Tucson, where we’ll be among folks we know from back in the Jersey hood, but as the social worker I spoke to there said, “Everything the state touches turns to sh*t.”
Please, Goddess, install an effective executive who actually cares about the least of those among us…those who are dependent through no fault of their own.
Nappy and Pelousy are blights against not only womanhood but Italians. Let’s hope they both get kidnapped by illegals, never to return!
