www.Hillaryis44.com has an article up on this today — Obama resigned his Senate seat this afternoon, the earliest anyone has ever resigned their current position to move onto higher office. The gist of the Hillaryis44 piece is that since Obama never accomplished anything in the Senate (and never even bothered to call a meeting of the Subcommittee he chaired), it’s fitting with his character to resign his Senate seat today, before a new session in the Senate is called to order on Monday.
