In some countries, they have reporters who write stories about things like this — and reveal political candidates for who they really are so people voting for them can know what they are really getting themselves into.
Those countries sound great.
Magical.
Can we live there?

Good Lord. And he’s talking about the state where Chicago is located (where you need a bit more than that to make ends meet). I hope the GOP is using these new clips in ads somewhere.

Good Morning Fellow American Patriots! Today Hillary did “not” demand John McCain stop using her voice in robo calls against Barack Hussein Obama! I assume this is her wink of approval for all you awesome people are doing!
As for the word of Barack Hussein Obama’s being in any way truthful on every issue, leave it to the Kool Aid drinkers to trust that man! From campaign funding, to taxes and today’s latest lie! He was not able to contact his illegal alien Aunt living in Public Housing in Boston!
The man who seeks to be the most powerful office in the world is not able to find his fathers sister?
Stay tuned everyone at 11am today, we will find out if his illegal alien aunt who donated illegally to his election, is actually registered to vote!
There was a time when we removed from office a president who lied, today some people want to support this man!

I see a landslide coming – and the MSM will be wondering what happened.
November 3, 2008 at 9:20 am
James,
I read that same report. I think there is real possibilities. I still believe Obama will lose. There are some indicators that lead me to believe this:
1. PUMA’s: I believe many blue collar workers in battle ground states are turned of by Obama. Obama is sexist, racist (yes anyone can be a racist; skin color does not matter), and borderline Socialist.
2. Palin Effect: Palin energized the Republican party. This in my belief has gone largely unnoticed as the MSM attacked Palin. But the Republicans are unified more so than the Democrats who were split because of Obama’s one sided stolen victory in the primaries.
3. Over sampled Polls: The latest Polls that show a huge Obama victory are with 10-15% Democrats. In 2006, Democrats were more energized and unified than they are right now and then it was +3 Democrats. If Republicans show up at the polls the difference will be in the +3-5% range. Gallup has it +8 but over samples Democrats +12. This is a 7-9 % over sample and McCain wins if the sample is closer to 5%.
4. Coal Comments: Obama’s comments concerning bankrupting coal industry will hurt him in many of the battle ground states:
Pennsylvania
Virginia
Ohio
Nevada
Colorado
North Carolina
West Virginia
If Obama loses these he is out.
Nobama voters and PUMA’s will turn this election. The national polls say Obama is receiving 90% of the vote. This is about what the Democratic candidate always receives. If there is a PUMA effect Obama will lose another 5-10% of the Democratic vote. Obama can not win with 80-85% support from his own party.
I predict this election will be determined early tomorrow night. Watch for Virginia and Pennsylvania. If Obama manages to lose Virginia and Pennsylvania the contest is over. If McCain holds on to Vriginia and makes Pennsylvania close the election will be determined by Colorado.. These three states will give the indication of who wins. Whoever receives two of these three states will have a significant win probably in exces of 300 Electoral votes.

It has been said many times, but should be repeated. BHO’s tax plans aren’t about “sharing” or any other virtue. His plans are about control.
November 3, 2008 at 11:43 am
I was walking down North Miami Boulevard and there was a sign that said “250,000, 150,000, 120,000. How low will he go?”
This was about the only McCain sign in the area. I rang the bell to tell him to look for this video and he answered the door, I said “Google Hillbuzz…” with the intention of telling him to look for this video, but he closed the door in my face.
What’s up with that? Did he think that I was an Obama supporter trying to scam him? Why would be think that?

How can he call the earned income tax credit a tax cut? Seriously, it goes to people who are paying NO TAXES! They get back MORE THAN THEY PAID. That is not a tax cut, that is welfare.

I’m a conservative, I’ve been sick to my stomach about this election since Obama became the nominee.
I can’t stand the man and wish he’d go back to Hawaii or Chicago and live a life of anonymity. He doesn’t belong in the White House and will be disasterous for this nation.
What I need now, from you, my newfound allies, is reassurance McCain has a chance.
The polls are everywhere. TIPP – the most reliable in 2004 – has Obama up only by 2.1.
Can McCain win in the next 48 hours?
And, if Obama pulls it out, what are the next steps? I’m more than willing to overlook the political differences I’m bound to have with Hillary Clinton supporters to save this country from Barack Obama.
November 3, 2008 at 12:59 pm
“Per Geraghty, 77 percent of Obama’s supporters say they’re willing to spend 10 minutes answering an exit poll questionnaire versus just 64 percent of McCain’s. No matter what’s happening on the ground, then, expect The One to have a large-ish lead when the data finally drops at 5 p.m. tomorrow. If he doesn’t, things could get interesting.”
And this particular poster (Allahpundit) is a total pessimist — I don’t think he’s tuned in to the PUMA factor. Frankly, I don’t think most people are.

Personally I am amazed that some people can sit back and listen to all this junk coming out of Obama and still vote for the guy! What kind of blinders are on these people? My God!!!
November 3, 2008 at 1:36 pm
If Obama wins we will have shared misery. There will be no middle class, just the poor and his elite rich friends. Obama and Michelle got theirs, but they don’t want us to be able to get ours. Why hasn’t he shared his wealth with his poor half brother in Kenya or his poor illegal alien aunt? He talks the talk, but he doesn’t walk the walk.

Listen.
Do you people – including Rebecca – understand what “early voting” is?
Early voting is really just an absentee ballot without a stamp. Instead of writing and asking for an absentee ballot to be sent, you just show up in person for “curbside service”. No need to wait for the ballot to arrive in the mail, and no need to send it back. Pick it up and delivery it at the same time.
Typically, conservatives are busier than liberals. They travel for business more etc. That is why absentee ballots tilt heavily for the Republicans.
Military personnel overseas vote by absentee ballot. They cannot be included in polls because they are not reachable by phone. If there is a “dead heat” the nod should go for the Republican in that case.
In 2004, Bush won Texas with 60.8 % of the vote. that is a difference of about 21 or 22 points. The idea that there is a 17 point spread in a swing state is nothing less than a fantasy. If that were true, the candidates would not bother campaigning there.
If that fantastical poll would be published, then one would have to question all of the other polls, as well.

Is anyone here really surprised? We all knew that Obama lives to tax not just rich Americans, but also the middle class.
MCCAIN PALIN 2008!!
November 3, 2008 at 2:58 pm
can someone get the URL for the video?
YouTube is blocked where I am.
November 3, 2008 at 2:59 pm
krp,
Yes, we do understand what early voting is. That is why I found it so amazing that an Obama campaign worker was trying to tell me that if I didn’t do early voting, my vote wouldn’t count. I told her that is false info, and just a scare tactic they are using on the ignorant, and I’ve worked at the polls in previous elections (3 to be exact), and since I know enough to vote early in the am, I was sure my vote would count.
Since so many are doing this in the city of Milwaukee, I thought it pretty telling that WI is very much a state that may be winnable for McCain/Palin. For the first time, I’ve seen McCain signs with other Dem signs in my neighborhood; the streets are peppered with them. But, we are predominantly a working class diverse neighborhood, on the other side of the river from the college. This is a very liberal neighborhood.
The Obama campaign is working heavily on the ground here, so I’m having trouble believing the reports that so many suburbanites are claiming that they are voting for Obama.
